- 0:00Speaker 1: Well, good morning, friends and faith listeners. This is Jen
- 0:02Speaker 1: with the Bible Explained podcast. We are going to be
- 0:05Speaker 1: doing part two of Second Thessalonians chapter one today, talking
- 0:09Speaker 1: more about Jesus's second coming and what that's going to
- 0:12Speaker 1: look like. Stay tuned. So I hope you guys have
- 0:22Speaker 1: had a good start to your week so far. Let's
- 0:24Speaker 1: go ahead and turn in our bibles to Second Thessalonians
- 0:27Speaker 1: chapter one. I'll be reading this chapter as usual from
- 0:30Speaker 1: the web Paul, Sylvanus and Timothy to the assembly of
- 0:36Speaker 1: the Thessalonians. In God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ,
- 0:40Speaker 1: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and
- 0:42Speaker 1: the Lord Jesus Christ. We are bound to always give
- 0:46Speaker 1: thanks to God for you, brothers, even as it is appropriate,
- 0:49Speaker 1: because your faith grows exceedingly, and the love of each
- 0:51Speaker 1: and every one of you toward one another abounds, so
- 0:54Speaker 1: that we ourselves boast about you in the assemblies of
- 0:56Speaker 1: God for your perseverance and faith in all your persecutions
- 1:00Speaker 1: and in the afflictions which you endure. This is an
- 1:02Speaker 1: obvious sign of the righteous judgment of God, to the
- 1:05Speaker 1: end that you may be counted worthy of God's kingdom.
- 1:08Speaker 1: For which you also suffer, for it is a righteous
- 1:10Speaker 1: thing with God to repay the affliction to those who
- 1:12Speaker 1: afflict you, and to give relief to you who are
- 1:15Speaker 1: afflicted with us, when the Lord Jesus is revealed from
- 1:18Speaker 1: heaven with his mighty angels in flaming fire, punishing those
- 1:21Speaker 1: who don't know God, and to those who don't obey
- 1:24Speaker 1: the good news of our Lord Jesus, who will pay
- 1:27Speaker 1: the penalty eternal destruction from the face of the Lord
- 1:30Speaker 1: and from the glory of his might when he comes
- 1:33Speaker 1: in that day, to be glorified in his saints and
- 1:35Speaker 1: to be admired among all those who have believed, because
- 1:38Speaker 1: our testimony to you was believed to this end. We
- 1:41Speaker 1: also pray always for you that Our God may count
- 1:44Speaker 1: you worthy of your calling and fulfill every desire of
- 1:46Speaker 1: goodness and work of faith with power, that the name
- 1:49Speaker 1: of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you and
- 1:52Speaker 1: you and Him according to the grace of our God
- 1:54Speaker 1: and the Lord Jesus Christ. Last week we talked about
- 1:59Speaker 1: part one of this portion of scripture, and we mentioned
- 2:02Speaker 1: mainly why Paul wrote this letter, because this letter would
- 2:06Speaker 1: not have been very long after for Thessalonians. By the way,
- 2:10Speaker 1: this would have been very quickly afterward. But to refresh you, guys,
- 2:14Speaker 1: the reason Paul wrote this letter is because it's very
- 2:19Speaker 1: possible there was a fake letter circulating claiming to be
- 2:23Speaker 1: from Paul, and that letter contained one of two things
- 2:26Speaker 1: that Paul needs to address. Either it contained fake details
- 2:30Speaker 1: about how Jesus had already come back and the Thessalonians
- 2:34Speaker 1: were screwed because they missed the rapture, or the second
- 2:38Speaker 1: thing that it may have contained was that Jesus had
- 2:40Speaker 1: come back in a spiritual sense and the Thessalonians needed
- 2:45Speaker 1: to wait for Jesus to appear in a physical sense.
- 2:49Speaker 1: Now that belief, interestingly enough, is still quite common these days. Actually,
- 2:55Speaker 1: both beliefs are pretty common. Back in First Thessalonians, I
- 2:58Speaker 1: talked about praatists. Those are people who believe that Jesus
- 3:03Speaker 1: had already raptured his church back in eighty seventy when
- 3:08Speaker 1: Jerusalem fell to the Romans. Supposedly Jesus came back and
- 3:12Speaker 1: raptured all of his people, and we don't have a
- 3:15Speaker 1: rapture that we need to wait for. And I talked
- 3:17Speaker 1: about why I am fully against the pretorist's viewpoint and
- 3:22Speaker 1: how I can feel very confident based upon my study
- 3:25Speaker 1: in scripture that the rapture both physically and spiritually has
- 3:29Speaker 1: not happened yet. I'm going to link that episode in
- 3:33Speaker 1: the description of this episode, so you can go over
- 3:35Speaker 1: there and listen to that if you're curious about my
- 3:38Speaker 1: research on praatism. But there are many Christians that believe
- 3:42Speaker 1: the pratorist viewpoint, and this is something that's been common
- 3:45Speaker 1: apparently since the infancy of the church. People really want
- 3:50Speaker 1: to believe that Jesus is coming back in their lifetime,
- 3:54Speaker 1: or that he has already come back. Like Christians just
- 3:57Speaker 1: naturally want that, right, just as when you look in
- 4:01Speaker 1: the beginning of the New Testament, right before Jesus was born,
- 4:04Speaker 1: people were looking for the Messiah under every single rock.
- 4:08Speaker 1: They just wanted the Messiah that was prophesied about to come.
- 4:13Speaker 1: And then of course when Jesus actually did come, he
- 4:16Speaker 1: wasn't the right Messiah for them. They were like, no,
- 4:19Speaker 1: we don't want this Messiah. We want our version of
- 4:22Speaker 1: the Messiah. But I'm going a little bit off topic.
- 4:25Speaker 1: The point is that Christians naturally want to see Jesus,
- 4:30Speaker 1: We want the return of Jesus, which is why there's
- 4:33Speaker 1: so many people that believe that Jesus is going to
- 4:36Speaker 1: come in our lifetime, or that Jesus has already returned
- 4:40Speaker 1: and we're just waiting for the physical return, if that
- 4:42Speaker 1: makes sense, waiting for the events in revelation to take
- 4:46Speaker 1: place so that Jesus can make the new Heaven and
- 4:48Speaker 1: the new Earth. And that is why so many Christians
- 4:52Speaker 1: and other religious groups believe that Jesus has already returned.
- 4:58Speaker 1: For example, the Jehovah's witness Is truly believe that Jesus
- 5:01Speaker 1: has been around, that he has returned in spirit since
- 5:05Speaker 1: nineteen fourteen, and they're just waiting for Jesus to destroy
- 5:09Speaker 1: the wicked at Armageddon. And that is why Jehovah's Witnesses
- 5:13Speaker 1: are so big on like evangelism for their religion, because
- 5:19Speaker 1: they don't want to be in the Armageddon themselves. They
- 5:22Speaker 1: think their works is what is going to save them,
- 5:25Speaker 1: that Jesus is just going to blow them away with
- 5:27Speaker 1: the Armageddon if they don't do everything their leaders tell
- 5:30Speaker 1: them to do. And this is a lie that has
- 5:32Speaker 1: been building throughout the centuries that Jesus has already returned.
- 5:38Speaker 1: Paul now has to address that with the Thessalonian Church.
- 5:42Speaker 1: So let's start in verse six four today. For it
- 5:45Speaker 1: is a righteous thing with God to repay affliction to
- 5:48Speaker 1: those who afflicted you, and to give relief to you
- 5:51Speaker 1: who are afflicted with us, when the Lord Jesus is
- 5:54Speaker 1: revealed from heaven with his mighty angels inflaming fire. Now
- 5:59Speaker 1: that is Paul talking about the persecutions of the Thessalonian Church.
- 6:02Speaker 1: We went into that a little bit last week as well.
- 6:04Speaker 1: The Thessalonian Church in some way was being highly persecuted. We
- 6:09Speaker 1: don't know exactly how, but Paul mentions this multiple times
- 6:13Speaker 1: in his letter and says that he is impressed with
- 6:15Speaker 1: the faith that the Thessalonian Christians have in spite of
- 6:19Speaker 1: this extreme persecution that they are going through. He says
- 6:23Speaker 1: right here in verse six that God is eventually going
- 6:26Speaker 1: to repay all the affliction that they have endured from
- 6:30Speaker 1: the people who afflict them. So all the persecutions that
- 6:34Speaker 1: they are dealing with, God someday is going to act
- 6:37Speaker 1: in righteous judgment. And when will that righteous judgment take place?
- 6:41Speaker 1: It says, when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven
- 6:45Speaker 1: with his mighty angels in flaming fire, punishing those who
- 6:48Speaker 1: don't know God into those who don't obey the good
- 6:51Speaker 1: news of our Lord Jesus. So when Jesus is finally revealed,
- 6:56Speaker 1: and that right there, that word revealed, that's where a
- 6:59Speaker 1: lot of people get tripped up actually, because they're like, oh,
- 7:02Speaker 1: you know, Jesus has already returned. He returned spiritually, he
- 7:05Speaker 1: just hasn't been revealed yet physically. Well, let's look into
- 7:10Speaker 1: Matthew chapter twenty five and read a few things about
- 7:16Speaker 1: Jesus being revealed. And this is Jesus himself speaking about
- 7:19Speaker 1: what his return is going to look like. And with
- 7:22Speaker 1: a lot of what Jesus does, he uses storytelling to
- 7:26Speaker 1: prove a point to make people think. So let's read
- 7:29Speaker 1: this parable starting in verse thirteen Matthew twenty five thirteen.
- 7:34Speaker 1: Watch therefore, for you don't know the day or the
- 7:37Speaker 1: hour in which the Son of Man is coming. For
- 7:40Speaker 1: it is like a man going into another country, who
- 7:43Speaker 1: called his own servants and entrusted his goods to them.
- 7:46Speaker 1: To one, he gave five talents to another, two to another,
- 7:50Speaker 1: one to each according to his own ability. Then he
- 7:53Speaker 1: went on his journey. Immediately, he who received the five talents,
- 7:57Speaker 1: went and traded with them, and made another five talents.
- 8:00Speaker 1: In the same way. The one who got two gained
- 8:03Speaker 1: another two. But he who received the one talent went
- 8:06Speaker 1: away and dug in the earth and hid his lord's money. Now,
- 8:09Speaker 1: after a long time, the lord of those servants came
- 8:13Speaker 1: and settled accounts with them. He who received the five
- 8:17Speaker 1: talents came and brought another five talents, saying, Lord, you
- 8:20Speaker 1: delivered to me five talents. Behold, I have gained another
- 8:22Speaker 1: five talents in addition to them. His lord said to him,
- 8:26Speaker 1: well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful
- 8:28Speaker 1: over a few things. I will set you over many things.
- 8:32Speaker 1: Enter into the joy of your lord. He also, who
- 8:35Speaker 1: got two talents, came and said, Lord, you delivered to
- 8:38Speaker 1: me two talents. Behold, I have gained another two talents
- 8:41Speaker 1: in addition to them. His Lord said to him, well done,
- 8:44Speaker 1: good and faithful servant, you have been faithful over a
- 8:47Speaker 1: few things. I will set you over many things. Enter
- 8:50Speaker 1: into the joy of your lord. He who had received
- 8:53Speaker 1: the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew that
- 8:55Speaker 1: you are a hard man, reaping where you didn't sow,
- 8:58Speaker 1: and gathering where you didn't see gatter. I was afraid,
- 9:01Speaker 1: and I went and hid your talent in the earth.
- 9:03Speaker 1: Behold you have what is yours. But his Lord answered him,
- 9:07Speaker 1: you wicked and solothful servant. You knew that I reap
- 9:11Speaker 1: where I didn't sew, and gather where I didn't scatter.
- 9:13Speaker 1: You ought therefore to have deposited my money with the bankers,
- 9:17Speaker 1: and at my coming I should have received back my
- 9:19Speaker 1: own with interest. Take away therefore the talent from him
- 9:23Speaker 1: and give it to him who has the ten talents.
- 9:25Speaker 1: For to everyone who has been given, and he will
- 9:27Speaker 1: have abundance. But from him who doesn't have even that
- 9:30Speaker 1: which he has will be taken away. Throw out the
- 9:33Speaker 1: unprofitable servant into the outer darkness, where there will be
- 9:37Speaker 1: weeping and gnashing of teeth. So that, of course is
- 9:41Speaker 1: Jesus talking about his second coming. In storytelling, he's saying, look,
- 9:45Speaker 1: this man myself went away for a really long time.
- 9:49Speaker 1: But I entrusted my servants with some good things. I
- 9:53Speaker 1: entrusted them with some money, and they were to use
- 9:55Speaker 1: that money wisely to gain even more money. And two
- 9:59Speaker 1: of the servants did a very good job with this.
- 10:01Speaker 1: But the one servant was lazy and slothful, and so
- 10:06Speaker 1: he went and dug into the earth and hid the
- 10:09Speaker 1: money there and just sat around until Jesus came again.
- 10:14Speaker 1: And when Jesus came again, all three of the servants
- 10:17Speaker 1: knew he was there. It doesn't talk anything about any
- 10:21Speaker 1: spiritual coming back that Jesus had, where he's like hiding
- 10:26Speaker 1: himself and refusing to reveal himself. This is a physical
- 10:30Speaker 1: return Jesus is talking about. He says he came back
- 10:34Speaker 1: and immediately met his servants, and the first servant did
- 10:37Speaker 1: a very good job, so Jesus blessed him, same with
- 10:40Speaker 1: the second servant. But when the third servant came and
- 10:43Speaker 1: was like, here, take your money back, I don't like you.
- 10:45Speaker 1: Jesus was like, you wicked and slothful servant. I gave
- 10:49Speaker 1: you something to protect and to do something with, and
- 10:52Speaker 1: yet you just sat around and did nothing for the
- 10:57Speaker 1: entirety of my trip. So you're a bad servant, and
- 11:01Speaker 1: I am going to cast you out into the outer darkness,
- 11:05Speaker 1: is what Jesus says. So nothing about this or any
- 11:09Speaker 1: other story Jesus tells about his second coming mentions any
- 11:13Speaker 1: kind of spiritual return. It is always always a physical
- 11:17Speaker 1: return that Jesus is talking about. And if you look
- 11:19Speaker 1: at Matthew chapter twenty four, Jesus goes a lot more
- 11:23Speaker 1: into depth about his return there as well, and he says,
- 11:27Speaker 1: there's going to be some crazy things that happen when
- 11:29Speaker 1: I return. Every eye will see me. Every single person
- 11:34Speaker 1: is going to see my return, and the moon will
- 11:37Speaker 1: no longer have its light, and the sun will no
- 11:39Speaker 1: longer have its light, and all these stars are going
- 11:41Speaker 1: to fall from the sky. People will see that I
- 11:45Speaker 1: am back. There is no spiritual return anywhere in scripture.
- 11:51Speaker 1: You will not find it. And I think Jesus knows
- 11:55Speaker 1: what his second return is going to look like. I
- 11:57Speaker 1: don't think he's lying to us where he's like, yeah,
- 12:00Speaker 1: I'm gonna like partially return, and you know, when I
- 12:03Speaker 1: partially return, you won't know at all, but then like
- 12:06Speaker 1: you will know. He doesn't say that. He does not
- 12:10Speaker 1: say that. Everything about Jesus's second return is powerful and
- 12:14Speaker 1: quite honestly, very scary for somebody who does not believe
- 12:19Speaker 1: in Jesus. And that is what Paul's talking about in
- 12:22Speaker 1: second Thessalonians one. So let's read that verse again. He's
- 12:26Speaker 1: going to give relief to the afflicted when the Lord
- 12:30Speaker 1: Jesus is revealed from heaven with his mighty angels in
- 12:32Speaker 1: flaming fire, punishing those who don't know God and those
- 12:36Speaker 1: who don't obey the good news of our Lord Jesus.
- 12:38Speaker 1: So you might be like, but Jen, what does that
- 12:40Speaker 1: word revealed mean. It says that Jesus is going to
- 12:43Speaker 1: be revealed, so maybe there was a spiritual return. Maybe
- 12:47Speaker 1: he hasn't been fully revealed yet. Well, think about the
- 12:50Speaker 1: word revealed. It means revelation. And there's a very famous
- 12:57Speaker 1: book at the end of the Bible, also so called Revelation,
- 13:02Speaker 1: where John sees all of these prophecies that you can
- 13:05Speaker 1: tell he himself doesn't even understand, and he's writing them
- 13:09Speaker 1: down not fully knowing what they mean. And even now,
- 13:13Speaker 1: if we look at those prophecies, a lot of them
- 13:16Speaker 1: do not make sense, but they are slowly being revealed,
- 13:22Speaker 1: and they're starting to make a little bit more sense,
- 13:24Speaker 1: you know, as we get closer and closer to Jesus's return,
- 13:28Speaker 1: these prophecies will eventually come to fruition that if some
- 13:32Speaker 1: of them haven't already, and everything, every single thing, is
- 13:37Speaker 1: going to be revealed, including Jesus himself. So the revelations
- 13:42Speaker 1: of John will take place, and we will see them
- 13:45Speaker 1: take place. They will make sense to us when we
- 13:50Speaker 1: finally see Jesus in the clouds. Right now, it's foggy,
- 13:53Speaker 1: it's hazy, we don't quite understand it. Someday we will
- 13:57Speaker 1: so Jesus and all the prophecies regarding his second coming
- 14:00Speaker 1: will be revealed. The mystery will be over with. That
- 14:04Speaker 1: is how I interpret the Lord Jesus being revealed. And
- 14:08Speaker 1: when he's revealed, he's going to verse eight punish those
- 14:12Speaker 1: who don't know God. And to those who don't obey
- 14:15Speaker 1: the good news of our Lord Jesus, they will pay
- 14:18Speaker 1: the penalty eternal destruction from the face of the Lord
- 14:22Speaker 1: and from the glory of his might. That verse is
- 14:26Speaker 1: very clear that our after lives are eternal, whether we
- 14:32Speaker 1: eternally get to live in heaven with Jesus or we
- 14:36Speaker 1: live in eternal death. There's a lot of people, I
- 14:41Speaker 1: think that don't want to believe that the afterlife is permanent,
- 14:46Speaker 1: but it is clear in scripture over and over and
- 14:49Speaker 1: over again that it is in fact permanent. This word
- 14:55Speaker 1: eternal here it means something even more than never ending,
- 15:01Speaker 1: because that kind of assumes that there's time involved. I'm
- 15:05Speaker 1: pretty sure we'll be outside of time in the afterlife.
- 15:08Speaker 1: I can't say that for sure because I've never been
- 15:10Speaker 1: to the afterlife, but I think will be outside of time.
- 15:14Speaker 1: Eternity is so much bigger than never ending. It is
- 15:19Speaker 1: like all encompassing. I can't quite describe it. I guess
- 15:22Speaker 1: like eternity is just the best way to describe it.
- 15:25Speaker 1: It is eternal destruction. That means there's a permanence to it.
- 15:31Speaker 1: And you guys know me, I'm not one to scare people.
- 15:34Speaker 1: I don't I'm not a fire in brimstone kind of gal.
- 15:38Speaker 1: But Scripture states it clearly that the afterlife is permanent.
- 15:44Speaker 1: Let's go back to Matthew twenty five and see what
- 15:46Speaker 1: Jesus says about the permanence of the afterlife. Starting in
- 15:52Speaker 1: verse thirty one, when the Son of Man comes in
- 15:55Speaker 1: his glory and all the holy angels with him, then
- 15:59Speaker 1: he will sit on the throne of his glory. Before him,
- 16:02Speaker 1: all the nations will be gathered, and he will separate
- 16:05Speaker 1: them one from another, as a shepherd separates the sheep
- 16:08Speaker 1: from the goats. He will set the sheep on his
- 16:10Speaker 1: right hand, but the goats on his left. Then the
- 16:13Speaker 1: King will tell those on his right hand, come blessed
- 16:16Speaker 1: of my father inherit to the kingdom prepared for you
- 16:19Speaker 1: from the foundation of the world. For I was hungry
- 16:22Speaker 1: and you gave me food to eat. I was thirsty
- 16:24Speaker 1: and you gave me drink. I was a stranger and
- 16:27Speaker 1: you took me in. I was naked and you clothed me.
- 16:29Speaker 1: I was sick and you visited me. I was in
- 16:31Speaker 1: prison and you came to me. Then the righteous will
- 16:34Speaker 1: answer him, saying, Lord, when did we see you hungry
- 16:37Speaker 1: and feed you, or thirsty and give you a drink.
- 16:39Speaker 1: When did we see you as a stranger and take
- 16:41Speaker 1: you in, or naked and clothe you. When did we
- 16:43Speaker 1: see you sick, or in prison and come to you?
- 16:45Speaker 1: The King will answer them most certainly, I tell you,
- 16:47Speaker 1: because you did it to one of the least of
- 16:49Speaker 1: these my brothers, you did it to me. Then he
- 16:53Speaker 1: will say to those on his left hand, depart from me.
- 16:56Speaker 1: You cursed into the eternal fire, which is prepared for
- 17:00Speaker 1: the devil and his angels. For I was hungry and
- 17:04Speaker 1: you didn't give me food to eat. I was thirsty,
- 17:06Speaker 1: and you gave me no drink. I was a stranger,
- 17:08Speaker 1: you didn't take me in I was naked, you didn't
- 17:11Speaker 1: clothe me, sick and in prison, and you didn't visit me.
- 17:14Speaker 1: Then they will also answer saying, Lord, when did we
- 17:16Speaker 1: see you hungry, thirsty, or a stranger, or naked or
- 17:19Speaker 1: sicker in prison and didn't help you. Then he will
- 17:21Speaker 1: answer them saying, most certainly, I tell you, because you
- 17:24Speaker 1: didn't do it to one of the least of these,
- 17:26Speaker 1: you didn't do it to me. These will go away
- 17:29Speaker 1: into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life. That
- 17:35Speaker 1: is from Jesus's own mouth. Jesus says, eternity is at stake.
- 17:43Speaker 1: This is not something to mess with. This is a
- 17:46Speaker 1: permanent thing. If you go back to our passage for today. Second,
- 17:51Speaker 1: Thessalonians won notice when this eternal punishment is going to
- 17:58Speaker 1: take place, It says, when the Lord Jesus is revealed
- 18:03Speaker 1: from heaven. In other words, we are still living in
- 18:07Speaker 1: the era of grace where Jesus has not returned yet. Okay,
- 18:14Speaker 1: because if he had already returned, like some people claim,
- 18:18Speaker 1: then all of this would have already happened. And uh,
- 18:22Speaker 1: I guess we'd be screwed. Quite honestly, this has not
- 18:26Speaker 1: happened yet. We are living in the era of grace,
- 18:31Speaker 1: where God is still giving every single person a chance
- 18:36Speaker 1: to come to him. That reminds me of a couple
- 18:38Speaker 1: of verses from two Peter three verses eight through ten,
- 18:42Speaker 1: says this, don't forget this one thing, beloved, that one
- 18:46Speaker 1: day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and
- 18:48Speaker 1: a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not
- 18:51Speaker 1: slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness. But he
- 18:55Speaker 1: is patient with us, not wishing that anyone should perish,
- 18:58Speaker 1: but that all should come to repentance. But the day
- 19:01Speaker 1: of the Lord will come as a thief in the night,
- 19:03Speaker 1: in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise,
- 19:06Speaker 1: and the elements will be dissolved with a fervent heat,
- 19:09Speaker 1: and the earth and the works that are in it
- 19:11Speaker 1: will be burned up. Peter is making it clear that
- 19:17Speaker 1: the reason it feels like Jesus is taking so long
- 19:20Speaker 1: to come back is because of his great mercy for humanity.
- 19:27Speaker 1: He wants people to come to him. He is looking
- 19:31Speaker 1: for people to turn away from their sin and realize
- 19:37Speaker 1: their need for a savior, so that we don't experience
- 19:42Speaker 1: this eternal death. The most famous verse in the entire Bible,
- 19:45Speaker 1: John three point sixteen, Jesus says that with his own mouth,
- 19:48Speaker 1: he says, for God so loved the world that he
- 19:51Speaker 1: gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in
- 19:55Speaker 1: him will not perish, but have eternal life. So there's
- 20:02Speaker 1: a choice that each person has to make, eternal life
- 20:07Speaker 1: or eternal punishment. God is taking his time to make
- 20:11Speaker 1: sure that people come to him. The second Jesus comes back,
- 20:18Speaker 1: it's done. It's over. We either get beamed up into
- 20:23Speaker 1: heaven or we get punished for the rest of eternity.
- 20:28Speaker 1: There is no other choice. So, like I said, your
- 20:32Speaker 1: eternal future is not something to mess with. Choose life.
- 20:38Speaker 1: Choose eternal life. And how you do that is by
- 20:42Speaker 1: believing in Jesus. John three thirty four through thirty six.
- 20:48Speaker 1: Here's what this says. For he whom God has sent
- 20:51Speaker 1: speaks the words of God. For God gives the spirit
- 20:55Speaker 1: without measure. The Father loves the son and has given
- 20:57Speaker 1: all things into his hand. Who believes in the Sun
- 21:01Speaker 1: has eternal life. But one who disobeys or disbelieves the
- 21:06Speaker 1: Son won't see life. But the wrath of God remains
- 21:10Speaker 1: on him. So you have a choice to make right now.
- 21:14Speaker 1: Are you going to believe in Jesus or are you
- 21:17Speaker 1: going to reject, disobey, and disbelieve Jesus. The choice is yours,
- 21:24Speaker 1: and it's the most important choice you will ever ever make. So,
- 21:33Speaker 1: faithful listeners, if you have more questions, I am happy
- 21:36Speaker 1: to answer them. If you have any questions about how
- 21:39Speaker 1: to believe in Jesus, or you have a prayer request
- 21:41Speaker 1: of some sort, maybe you're struggling to fully understand who
- 21:46Speaker 1: Jesus is, or you're having trouble taking that step, reach
- 21:50Speaker 1: out to me, like seriously, reach out with the email
- 21:52Speaker 1: address listed in the description, and I will pray for
- 21:55Speaker 1: you and try to answer any questions that you have. Well,
