• 2:31
  Today
• 2:32
  I
• 2:32
  wanted
• 2:32
  to
• 2:32
  make
• 2:32
  this
• 2:33
  a
• 2:33
  very
• 2:33
  topical
• 2:33
  subject
• 2:34
  because
• 2:34
  I
• 2:34
  think
• 2:34
  it's
• 2:34
  very
• 2:34
  important.
• 2:36
  We
• 2:36
  have
• 2:36
  got
• 2:36
  a
• 2:37
  large
• 2:37
  section
• 2:37
  of
• 2:38
  the
• 2:38
  country
• 2:38
  here
• 2:38
  in
• 2:38
  the
• 2:38
  south
• 2:39
  that
• 2:39
  really
• 2:39
  got
• 2:40
  hit
• 2:41
  by
• 2:41
  Hurricane
• 2:41
  Helene.
• 2:42
  And
• 2:42
  I
• 2:42
  want
• 2:42
  to
• 2:43
  talk
• 2:43
  today
• 2:44
  about
• 2:44
  what
• 2:44
  you
• 2:45
  can
• 2:45
  do
• 2:45
  if
• 2:46
  you
• 2:46
  have
• 2:46
  water
• 2:46
  damage
• 2:47
  in
• 2:47
  your
• 2:47
  house.
• 2:48
  This
• 2:48
  is
• 2:48
  going
• 2:48
  to
• 2:48
  be
• 2:48
  try
• 2:48
  to
• 2:49
  be
• 2:49
  this
• 2:49
  hour
• 2:50
  kind
• 2:50
  of
• 2:50
  an
• 2:50
  end
• 2:51
  all,
• 2:51
  be
• 2:51
  all
• 2:51
  to
• 2:51
  get
• 2:51
  you
• 2:52
  the
• 2:52
  most
• 2:52
  information
• 2:52
  that
• 2:53
  you
• 2:53
  can.
• 2:54
  So
• 2:54
  there's
• 2:55
  a
• 2:55
  lot
• 2:55
  of
• 2:55
  people
• 2:56
  out
• 2:56
  there
• 2:56
  that
• 2:56
  are
• 2:56
  hurting
• 2:57
  anybody
• 2:57
  that
• 2:57
  can
• 2:57
  donate
• 2:58
  to
• 2:58
  the
• 2:58
  Red
• 2:58
  Cross
• 2:59
  or
• 2:59
  other
• 2:59
  charities
• 3:00
  that
• 3:00
  would
• 3:01
  be
• 3:01
  really
• 3:01
  good
• 3:01
  to
• 3:01
  help
• 3:02
  these
• 3:02
  people
• 3:02
  out.
• 3:03
  Anything
• 3:03
  does
• 3:03
  help
• 3:04
  and
• 3:04
  they're
• 3:05
  in
• 3:05
  a
• 3:05
  pretty
• 3:05
  bad
• 3:05
  situation
• 3:06
  down
• 3:06
  there.
• 3:06
  And
• 3:07
  because
• 3:07
  some
• 3:07
  of
• 3:07
  these
• 3:07
  areas
• 3:08
  are,
• 3:08
  are
• 3:09
  less
• 3:09
  populated,
• 3:09
  that
• 3:10
  story
• 3:10
  doesn't
• 3:10
  get
• 3:11
  out
• 3:11
  if
• 3:11
  it
• 3:11
  was
• 3:11
  in
• 3:12
  another
• 3:12
  big
• 3:13
  metropolitan
• 3:13
  area.
• 3:13
  So
• 3:14
  these
• 3:14
  are
• 3:15
  areas
• 3:15
  that
• 3:15
  just
• 3:15
  get
• 3:16
  hammered
• 3:16
  and
• 3:16
  these
• 3:17
  people
• 3:17
  are
• 3:17
  out
• 3:17
  fending
• 3:18
  on
• 3:18
  their
• 3:18
  own.
• 3:19
  So
• 3:19
  the
• 3:19
  first
• 3:19
  thing
• 3:20
  I
• 3:20
  really
• 3:20
  want
• 3:20
  to
• 3:21
  talk
• 3:21
  about
• 3:21
  is
• 3:21
  what
• 3:22
  happens
• 3:22
  if
• 3:22
  you
• 3:22
  have
• 3:23
  a
• 3:23
  basement
• 3:23
  or
• 3:24
  your
• 3:24
  house
• 3:25
  got
• 3:25
  significant
• 3:26
  water
• 3:26
  damage?
• 3:27
  The
• 3:27
  first
• 3:28
  thing
• 3:28
  I'm
• 3:28
  going
• 3:28
  to
• 3:28
  say
• 3:28
  is
• 3:29
  when
• 3:29
  you've
• 3:29
  got
• 3:29
  a
• 3:29
  hurricane
• 3:30
  like
• 3:30
  this
• 3:30
  many
• 3:30
  times,
• 3:31
  it's
• 3:31
  not
• 3:31
  only
• 3:31
  water
• 3:31
  damage,
• 3:32
  maybe
• 3:32
  it's
• 3:32
  a
• 3:32
  tree
• 3:33
  roof
• 3:33
  that,
• 3:33
  you
• 3:33
  know,
• 3:34
  tree
• 3:34
  went
• 3:34
  through
• 3:34
  the
• 3:35
  roof
• 3:35
  or
• 3:35
  there's
• 3:35
  branches
• 3:36
  or
• 3:36
  a
• 3:36
  roof
• 3:36
  blown
• 3:37
  off.
• 3:37
  So
• 3:38
  the
• 3:38
  first
• 3:38
  thing
• 3:38
  im
• 3:38
  going
• 3:38
  to
• 3:39
  say
• 3:39
  is
• 3:39
  lets
• 3:39
  get
• 3:40
  the
• 3:40
  top,
• 3:41
  make
• 3:41
  sure
• 3:41
  you
• 3:41
  get
• 3:41
  the
• 3:42
  outside
• 3:42
  weather
• 3:42
  proofed
• 3:43
  so
• 3:43
  we
• 3:44
  dont
• 3:44
  get
• 3:44
  any
• 3:44
  more
• 3:44
  damage
• 3:45
  inside.
• 3:46
  So
• 3:46
  lets
• 3:47
  make
• 3:47
  sure
• 3:47
  and
• 3:47
  get
• 3:48
  that
• 3:48
  roof
• 3:48
  repaired
• 3:49
  or
• 3:49
  some
• 3:49
  tarps
• 3:49
  up
• 3:50
  there,
• 3:50
  something
• 3:51
  dialed
• 3:51
  in
• 3:51
  to
• 3:52
  keep
• 3:52
  that
• 3:52
  a
• 3:52
  little
• 3:53
  bit
• 3:53
  under
• 3:53
  control
• 3:54
  because
• 3:54
  we
• 3:54
  dont
• 3:54
  want
• 3:55
  to
• 3:55
  be
• 3:55
  cleaning
• 3:55
  up
• 3:55
  and
• 3:55
  having
• 3:56
  the
• 3:56
  mess
• 3:56
  keep
• 3:56
  creating
• 3:57
  itself
• 3:57
  over
• 3:57
  and
• 3:58
  over
• 3:58
  again.
• 3:58
  Now
• 4:00
  heres
• 4:00
  the
• 4:00
  thing.
• 4:00
  If
• 4:00
  its
• 4:01
  saltwater
• 4:01
  flooding,
• 4:02
  many
• 4:02
  times
• 4:03
  there'll
• 4:03
  be
• 4:03
  sand
• 4:04
  with
• 4:04
  that
• 4:04
  and
• 4:04
  everything
• 4:05
  else.
• 4:05
  So
• 4:05
  the
• 4:05
  first
• 4:06
  thing
• 4:06
  is,
• 4:06
  and
• 4:06
  let's
• 4:06
  talk
• 4:07
  about
• 4:07
  some,
• 4:07
  some
• 4:08
  general
• 4:08
  rules
• 4:09
  of
• 4:09
  water
• 4:09
  damage.
• 4:10
  If
• 4:11
  you've
• 4:11
  had
• 4:11
  water
• 4:11
  in
• 4:12
  there
• 4:12
  for
• 4:12
  over
• 4:13
  30
• 4:13
  hours,
• 4:14
  48
• 4:14
  hours,
• 4:15
  you
• 4:16
  are
• 4:16
  now
• 4:16
  dealing
• 4:16
  with
• 4:17
  a
• 4:17
  mold
• 4:17
  abatement
• 4:18
  issue.
• 4:18
  So
• 4:18
  you're
• 4:18
  going
• 4:19
  to
• 4:19
  have
• 4:19
  to
• 4:19
  take
• 4:19
  care
• 4:19
  of
• 4:19
  that
• 4:20
  as
• 4:20
  well.
• 4:20
  But
• 4:21
  the
• 4:21
  first
• 4:21
  thing
• 4:21
  we
• 4:21
  need
• 4:21
  to
• 4:21
  do
• 4:22
  is
• 4:22
  get
• 4:22
  all
• 4:22
  the
• 4:22
  wet
• 4:23
  stuff
• 4:23
  out
• 4:23
  of
• 4:23
  the
• 4:24
  house.
• 4:24
  If
• 4:24
  you've
• 4:25
  got
• 4:25
  a
• 4:25
  flooded
• 4:25
  basement,
• 4:25
  get
• 4:26
  the
• 4:26
  water
• 4:26
  out
• 4:26
  of
• 4:26
  there
• 4:27
  and
• 4:27
  then
• 4:27
  start
• 4:27
  removing
• 4:28
  everything
• 4:29
  that
• 4:29
  was
• 4:29
  wetland.
• 4:30
  Now
• 4:30
  if
• 4:30
  you've
• 4:30
  got
• 4:31
  asbestos
• 4:31
  or
• 4:31
  lead,
• 4:32
  I
• 4:32
  recommend
• 4:33
  doing
• 4:33
  the
• 4:33
  right
• 4:33
  test
• 4:34
  for
• 4:34
  that
• 4:35
  to
• 4:35
  make
• 4:35
  sure
• 4:35
  that
• 4:35
  you
• 4:35
  don't
• 4:35
  have
• 4:36
  asbestos
• 4:37
  flooring,
• 4:37
  you
• 4:37
  don't
• 4:38
  have
• 4:38
  asbestos
• 4:38
  drywall
• 4:39
  compounds.
• 4:40
  You
• 4:40
  don't
• 4:40
  have
• 4:40
  lead
• 4:41
  paint
• 4:41
  on
• 4:41
  moldings
• 4:42
  or
• 4:42
  trim
• 4:42
  or
• 4:43
  even
• 4:43
  walls.
• 4:44
  Make
• 4:44
  sure
• 4:44
  that
• 4:44
  you
• 4:44
  get
• 4:45
  that
• 4:45
  so
• 4:45
  you
• 4:45
  know
• 4:45
  what
• 4:45
  you're
• 4:45
  doing
• 4:46
  and
• 4:46
  you're
• 4:46
  doing
• 4:46
  it
• 4:46
  safely.
• 4:47
  And
• 4:47
  you
• 4:47
  can
• 4:48
  dispose
• 4:48
  of
• 4:48
  it
• 4:48
  safely
• 4:49
  later.
• 4:49
  But
• 4:49
  you're
• 4:50
  going
• 4:50
  to
• 4:50
  want
• 4:50
  to
• 4:50
  get
• 4:50
  in
• 4:50
  and
• 4:51
  get
• 4:51
  all
• 4:51
  of
• 4:51
  this
• 4:52
  wet
• 4:52
  stuff
• 4:52
  out
• 4:52
  because
• 4:53
  our
• 4:53
  next
• 4:54
  job
• 4:54
  is
• 4:54
  clean
• 4:54
  up
• 4:54
  and
• 4:55
  get
• 4:55
  the
• 4:55
  humidity
• 4:55
  down
• 4:56
  inside
• 4:56
  the
• 4:56
  house.
• 4:57
  So
• 4:58
  tricks
• 4:58
  you
• 4:58
  can
• 4:58
  do,
• 4:59
  if
• 4:59
  your
• 4:59
  air
• 4:59
  conditioner
• 5:00
  is
• 5:00
  running,
• 5:01
  you
• 5:01
  can
• 5:01
  cycle
• 5:02
  that
• 5:02
  to
• 5:02
  help
• 5:02
  reduce
• 5:03
  that
• 5:03
  water
• 5:03
  in
• 5:03
  there
• 5:04
  by
• 5:04
  really
• 5:05
  keeping
• 5:05
  it
• 5:05
  cool,
• 5:06
  keeping
• 5:06
  that
• 5:07
  going.
• 5:07
  And
• 5:07
  then
• 5:07
  what
• 5:08
  I
• 5:08
  do
• 5:08
  is
• 5:08
  I
• 5:08
  turn
• 5:08
  the
• 5:08
  heat
• 5:09
  back
• 5:09
  up
• 5:09
  again,
• 5:09
  I
• 5:09
  cycle
• 5:10
  back
• 5:10
  and
• 5:10
  forth.
• 5:11
  And
• 5:12
  if
• 5:12
  you
• 5:12
  do
• 5:12
  that
• 5:12
  for
• 5:13
  a
• 5:13
  few
• 5:13
  hours,
• 5:13
  heat
• 5:14
  it
• 5:14
  back
• 5:14
  up
• 5:14
  again,
• 5:15
  cool
• 5:15
  it
• 5:15
  back
• 5:16
  up
• 5:16
  again,
• 5:17
  heat
• 5:17
  it
• 5:17
  up
• 5:17
  again,
• 5:18
  cool
• 5:18
  it.
• 5:18
  That
• 5:18
  will
• 5:18
  start
• 5:19
  to
• 5:19
  get
• 5:19
  some
• 5:19
  of
• 5:19
  that
• 5:20
  condensation
• 5:20
  out
• 5:20
  of
• 5:21
  the
• 5:21
  air.
• 5:21
  That's
• 5:22
  one
• 5:22
  of
• 5:22
  the
• 5:22
  only
• 5:22
  ways,
• 5:22
  because
• 5:23
  the
• 5:23
  hard
• 5:23
  part
• 5:23
  is,
• 5:23
  is
• 5:23
  in,
• 5:24
  when
• 5:24
  you're
• 5:24
  in
• 5:24
  an
• 5:24
  area
• 5:24
  like
• 5:25
  this
• 5:25
  that
• 5:25
  has
• 5:25
  been
• 5:26
  damaged,
• 5:26
  you
• 5:27
  need
• 5:27
  to
• 5:27
  plug
• 5:27
  in
• 5:27
  everything.
• 5:27
  You
• 5:28
  got
• 5:28
  to
• 5:28
  keep
• 5:28
  that
• 5:28
  stuff,
• 5:29
  for
• 5:29
  instance.
• 5:30
  Great
• 5:30
  example.
• 5:31
  If
• 5:31
  you
• 5:31
  have
• 5:31
  some
• 5:32
  dehumidifiers,
• 5:33
  great.
• 5:33
  But
• 5:34
  most
• 5:34
  people,
• 5:34
  you're
• 5:34
  not
• 5:35
  going
• 5:35
  to
• 5:35
  go
• 5:35
  into
• 5:35
  the
• 5:35
  store
• 5:35
  and
• 5:35
  rent
• 5:36
  them
• 5:36
  because
• 5:36
  those
• 5:36
  things
• 5:36
  are
• 5:36
  going
• 5:36
  to
• 5:36
  be
• 5:37
  rented
• 5:37
  out
• 5:37
  in
• 5:37
  the
• 5:37
  first
• 5:37
  hours,
• 5:38
  so
• 5:39
  those
• 5:39
  are
• 5:39
  going
• 5:40
  to
• 5:40
  be
• 5:40
  gone.
• 5:40
  So
• 5:40
  you're
• 5:40
  not
• 5:41
  going
• 5:41
  to
• 5:41
  have
• 5:41
  that
• 5:41
  resource
• 5:42
  around
• 5:42
  you.
• 5:42
  So
• 5:43
  our
• 5:43
  next
• 5:43
  job
• 5:43
  is
• 5:43
  to
• 5:44
  get
• 5:44
  that
• 5:44
  cleaned
• 5:44
  up.
• 5:44
  So
• 5:45
  if
• 5:45
  you've
• 5:45
  got
• 5:46
  mud
• 5:46
  in
• 5:46
  there
• 5:46
  from
• 5:47
  a,
• 5:47
  from
• 5:47
  a
• 5:47
  river
• 5:47
  that
• 5:48
  overflowed,
• 5:49
  get
• 5:49
  in
• 5:49
  there
• 5:49
  and
• 5:50
  get
• 5:50
  that
• 5:50
  stuff
• 5:50
  shoveled
• 5:51
  out.
• 5:51
  Let's
• 5:51
  get
• 5:52
  all
• 5:52
  of
• 5:52
  that
• 5:52
  dirt
• 5:53
  out
• 5:53
  of.
• 5:53
  And
• 5:53
  then
• 5:54
  what
• 5:54
  you're
• 5:54
  going
• 5:54
  to
• 5:54
  want
• 5:54
  to
• 5:54
  do
• 5:55
  is
• 5:55
  start
• 5:56
  helping
• 5:56
  dry
• 5:56
  this
• 5:56
  out,
• 5:57
  which
• 5:57
  means
• 5:57
  if
• 5:58
  you
• 5:58
  had
• 5:58
  twelve
• 5:58
  inches
• 5:59
  of
• 5:59
  water
• 5:59
  in
• 5:59
  your
• 6:00
  house,
• 6:00
  I'm
• 6:01
  going
• 6:01
  to
• 6:01
  go
• 6:01
  up
• 6:01
  at
• 6:02
  least
• 6:02
  two
• 6:03
  or
• 6:03
  3ft
• 6:03
  up.
• 6:04
  So
• 6:04
  you
• 6:04
  get
• 6:05
  into
• 6:05
  clean
• 6:05
  drywall
• 6:06
  and
• 6:06
  you're
• 6:06
  going
• 6:06
  to
• 6:06
  have
• 6:06
  to
• 6:07
  remove
• 6:07
  all
• 6:07
  of
• 6:08
  that
• 6:08
  down
• 6:08
  below
• 6:09
  and
• 6:09
  just
• 6:09
  get
• 6:09
  it
• 6:09
  out
• 6:10
  of
• 6:10
  there,
• 6:10
  because
• 6:11
  when
• 6:12
  you
• 6:12
  have
• 6:12
  a
• 6:13
  great
• 6:13
  example
• 6:14
  sheet
• 6:14
  of
• 6:14
  drywall,
• 6:15
  it
• 6:15
  will
• 6:15
  wick
• 6:16
  up
• 6:16
  moisture.
• 6:17
  So
• 6:17
  if
• 6:17
  you've
• 6:17
  got
• 6:18
  it
• 6:18
  down
• 6:18
  there,
• 6:18
  twelve
• 6:18
  inches,
• 6:19
  24
• 6:20
  inches
• 6:20
  of
• 6:20
  it
• 6:20
  is
• 6:20
  going
• 6:21
  to
• 6:21
  be
• 6:21
  wet
• 6:21
  for
• 6:21
  sure.
• 6:22
  And
• 6:22
  you're
• 6:22
  going
• 6:22
  to
• 6:22
  want
• 6:22
  to
• 6:22
  get
• 6:22
  up
• 6:22
  until
• 6:23
  where
• 6:23
  it's
• 6:23
  solid,
• 6:23
  depending
• 6:24
  on
• 6:24
  how
• 6:24
  long
• 6:24
  it
• 6:25
  was
• 6:25
  wet,
• 6:26
  and
• 6:26
  go
• 6:26
  around
• 6:26
  and
• 6:26
  just
• 6:27
  run
• 6:27
  a
• 6:27
  straight
• 6:28
  edge
• 6:28
  and
• 6:28
  a
• 6:28
  knife
• 6:28
  around
• 6:28
  there
• 6:29
  and
• 6:29
  you're
• 6:29
  going
• 6:29
  to
• 6:29
  want
• 6:29
  to
• 6:29
  take
• 6:29
  all
• 6:30
  of
• 6:30
  that
• 6:30
  off
• 6:30
  down
• 6:30
  below.
• 6:31
  Now,
• 6:31
  here's
• 6:32
  the
• 6:32
  thing.
• 6:32
  This
• 6:32
  is
• 6:33
  one
• 6:33
  thing
• 6:33
  that
• 6:33
  I
• 6:33
  would
• 6:34
  stop
• 6:34
  here
• 6:34
  and
• 6:35
  say
• 6:35
  before
• 6:36
  you
• 6:36
  get
• 6:36
  into
• 6:36
  this,
• 6:36
  I
• 6:37
  always
• 6:37
  recommend
• 6:37
  going
• 6:38
  around,
• 6:38
  shooting
• 6:38
  some
• 6:38
  video,
• 6:39
  taking
• 6:39
  some
• 6:39
  pictures,
• 6:40
  documenting
• 6:41
  the
• 6:41
  situation
• 6:41
  of
• 6:42
  what
• 6:42
  you
• 6:42
  have.
• 6:43
  So
• 6:43
  that
• 6:43
  way,
• 6:43
  if
• 6:43
  you're
• 6:44
  working
• 6:44
  with
• 6:44
  your
• 6:44
  insurance
• 6:45
  company
• 6:45
  or
• 6:45
  anything
• 6:45
  else,
• 6:46
  you
• 6:46
  have
• 6:46
  an
• 6:47
  idea
• 6:47
  what's
• 6:47
  going
• 6:47
  on.
• 6:48
  And
• 6:49
  also
• 6:49
  with
• 6:49
  that,
• 6:49
  if
• 6:50
  you
• 6:50
  are
• 6:50
  insured,
• 6:50
  make
• 6:51
  sure
• 6:51
  you've
• 6:51
  called
• 6:51
  your
• 6:51
  insurance
• 6:52
  company
• 6:53
  and
• 6:53
  started
• 6:54
  the
• 6:54
  process
• 6:54
  of
• 6:54
  a
• 6:54
  claim,
• 6:55
  because
• 6:55
  that's
• 6:55
  going
• 6:55
  to
• 6:55
  take
• 6:55
  a
• 6:56
  long
• 6:56
  time.
• 6:56
  So
• 6:56
  you're
• 6:56
  going
• 6:56
  to
• 6:56
  want
• 6:56
  to
• 6:57
  make
• 6:57
  sure
• 6:57
  and
• 6:57
  get
• 6:57
  that
• 6:57
  process
• 6:58
  going
• 6:58
  so
• 6:59
  you
• 6:59
  get
• 6:59
  that
• 6:59
  paperwork
• 7:00
  started
• 7:00
  as
• 7:01
  quickly
• 7:01
  as
• 7:01
  possible.
• 7:02
  Many
• 7:03
  times,
• 7:03
  these
• 7:03
  natural
• 7:03
  disasters
• 7:04
  like
• 7:04
  this,
• 7:04
  you're
• 7:05
  going
• 7:05
  to
• 7:05
  see
• 7:05
  them
• 7:05
  flying
• 7:06
  in
• 7:06
  people
• 7:07
  and
• 7:07
  they'll
• 7:07
  have
• 7:07
  their
• 7:08
  disaster
• 7:08
  response
• 7:09
  teams
• 7:09
  coming
• 7:09
  in.
• 7:10
  And
• 7:10
  so
• 7:10
  you're
• 7:10
  going
• 7:10
  to
• 7:10
  want
• 7:11
  to
• 7:11
  see
• 7:11
  what
• 7:11
  you
• 7:11
  can
• 7:11
  do
• 7:12
  on
• 7:12
  that
• 7:12
  claim.
• 7:12
  And
• 7:13
  be
• 7:13
  very
• 7:13
  careful
• 7:13
  of
• 7:13
  the
• 7:13
  claim.
• 7:14
  If
• 7:14
  it's
• 7:15
  a
• 7:15
  river
• 7:15
  flood,
• 7:15
  it's
• 7:15
  a
• 7:16
  flood.
• 7:16
  If
• 7:17
  you
• 7:17
  had
• 7:17
  a
• 7:17
  hurricane
• 7:17
  and
• 7:18
  heavy
• 7:18
  rains
• 7:18
  and
• 7:19
  the
• 7:19
  basement
• 7:20
  flooded,
• 7:21
  you
• 7:21
  have
• 7:21
  water
• 7:21
  damage,
• 7:22
  not
• 7:22
  a
• 7:22
  flood.
• 7:23
  So
• 7:23
  be
• 7:23
  very
• 7:24
  careful.
• 7:24
  If
• 7:24
  you
• 7:24
  claim
• 7:25
  water
• 7:26
  damage
• 7:26
  that
• 7:26
  wasn't
• 7:27
  literally
• 7:27
  a
• 7:27
  flood
• 7:28
  from
• 7:28
  a
• 7:28
  river,
• 7:29
  you
• 7:29
  might
• 7:29
  not
• 7:29
  get
• 7:30
  covered.
• 7:30
  So
• 7:30
  you
• 7:30
  want
• 7:30
  to
• 7:30
  make
• 7:30
  sure
• 7:31
  that
• 7:31
  you
• 7:31
  claim
• 7:32
  that
• 7:32
  correctly.
• 7:33
  A
• 7:33
  flood
• 7:33
  is
• 7:33
  when
• 7:34
  the
• 7:35
  water
• 7:35
  around
• 7:36
  you
• 7:36
  gets
• 7:37
  up
• 7:37
  so
• 7:37
  high
• 7:38
  that
• 7:38
  it
• 7:38
  comes
• 7:39
  into
• 7:39
  the
• 7:39
  structure.
• 7:40
  That's
• 7:40
  what
• 7:40
  traditionally
• 7:41
  would
• 7:41
  be
• 7:41
  a
• 7:41
  flood.
• 7:42
  If
• 7:42
  you
• 7:42
  have
• 7:43
  water
• 7:43
  from
• 7:44
  a
• 7:44
  hurricane,
• 7:44
  15
• 7:45
  inches
• 7:45
  of
• 7:45
  rain,
• 7:46
  20
• 7:46
  inches
• 7:46
  of
• 7:46
  rain,
• 7:47
  and
• 7:47
  it
• 7:47
  comes
• 7:48
  around
• 7:48
  and
• 7:48
  leaks
• 7:48
  into
• 7:49
  your
• 7:49
  basement,
• 7:49
  that's
• 7:50
  not
• 7:50
  a
• 7:50
  flood.
• 7:50
  So
• 7:51
  just
• 7:51
  make
• 7:51
  sure
• 7:51
  you
• 7:51
  understand
• 7:52
  what's
• 7:52
  going
• 7:52
  on
• 7:52
  there
• 7:53
  and
• 7:53
  you
• 7:53
  have
• 7:53
  that.
• 7:54
  So
• 7:54
  you're
• 7:55
  not
• 7:55
  going
• 7:55
  to
• 7:55
  get
• 7:55
  in
• 7:55
  trouble
• 7:55
  with
• 7:56
  filing
• 7:56
  a
• 7:56
  claim
• 7:57
  that
• 7:57
  could
• 7:57
  hurt
• 7:57
  you
• 7:57
  later.
• 7:58
  So
• 7:58
  you're
• 7:59
  going
• 7:59
  to
• 7:59
  want
• 7:59
  to
• 7:59
  do
• 7:59
  that.
• 7:59
  So
• 7:59
  make
• 7:59
  sure
• 8:00
  you
• 8:00
  get
• 8:00
  all
• 8:00
  that
• 8:00
  stuff
• 8:00
  done.
• 8:00
  But
• 8:01
  as
• 8:01
  you're
• 8:01
  cleaning
• 8:01
  up
• 8:01
  here,
• 8:02
  you're
• 8:02
  going
• 8:02
  to
• 8:02
  get
• 8:02
  shovels.
• 8:03
  If
• 8:03
  you've
• 8:03
  got
• 8:04
  wet
• 8:04
  carpet,
• 8:04
  get
• 8:04
  it
• 8:05
  out
• 8:05
  of
• 8:05
  there.
• 8:05
  Get
• 8:05
  all
• 8:06
  that
• 8:06
  stuff
• 8:06
  out
• 8:06
  of
• 8:06
  there.
• 8:06
  And
• 8:07
  you're
• 8:07
  going
• 8:07
  to
• 8:07
  try
• 8:07
  to
• 8:08
  really,
• 8:09
  really
• 8:09
  take
• 8:09
  some
• 8:10
  time
• 8:10
  and
• 8:10
  get
• 8:11
  this
• 8:11
  as
• 8:11
  cleaned
• 8:11
  up
• 8:12
  as
• 8:12
  you
• 8:12
  can
• 8:12
  and
• 8:13
  just
• 8:13
  get
• 8:13
  that
• 8:14
  stuff
• 8:14
  out
• 8:14
  of
• 8:14
  there.
• 8:15
  Get
• 8:15
  the
• 8:15
  building
• 8:15
  materials,
• 8:16
  rescue
• 8:16
  your
• 8:16
  stuff
• 8:16
  that's
• 8:17
  damaged
• 8:18
  and
• 8:18
  really
• 8:18
  take
• 8:19
  lots
• 8:19
  of
• 8:19
  pictures
• 8:19
  and
• 8:20
  notes
• 8:20
  as
• 8:20
  you're
• 8:20
  going
• 8:21
  on
• 8:21
  and
• 8:21
  what
• 8:21
  it
• 8:21
  is.
• 8:22
  Now,
• 8:22
  if
• 8:23
  your
• 8:23
  insurance
• 8:23
  company
• 8:24
  has
• 8:24
  it
• 8:24
  covered,
• 8:25
  talk
• 8:25
  to
• 8:25
  them.
• 8:26
  If
• 8:26
  you're
• 8:26
  going
• 8:26
  to
• 8:26
  be
• 8:26
  doing
• 8:27
  this
• 8:27
  as
• 8:27
  a
• 8:27
  DIY
• 8:28
  project
• 8:29
  and
• 8:29
  you
• 8:29
  want
• 8:29
  to
• 8:29
  get
• 8:30
  after
• 8:30
  it
• 8:30
  and
• 8:30
  you
• 8:31
  don't
• 8:31
  want
• 8:31
  things
• 8:31
  to
• 8:31
  get
• 8:31
  ruined
• 8:32
  even
• 8:32
  more,
• 8:33
  then
• 8:33
  you're
• 8:33
  going
• 8:33
  to
• 8:33
  want
• 8:34
  to
• 8:34
  do
• 8:34
  some
• 8:34
  of
• 8:34
  this
• 8:34
  stuff
• 8:35
  yourself.
• 8:35
  And
• 8:35
  if
• 8:36
  you've
• 8:36
  got
• 8:36
  the
• 8:36
  time
• 8:36
  to
• 8:36
  do
• 8:36
  it,
• 8:37
  maybe
• 8:37
  you
• 8:37
  want
• 8:37
  to
• 8:37
  do
• 8:38
  it
• 8:38
  or
• 8:38
  maybe
• 8:38
  you're
• 8:38
  not
• 8:38
  covered
• 8:39
  because
• 8:39
  you
• 8:39
  didn't
• 8:39
  have
• 8:40
  flood
• 8:40
  insurance
• 8:41
  and
• 8:41
  you
• 8:41
  actually
• 8:42
  had
• 8:42
  a
• 8:42
  flood.
• 8:43
  So
• 8:43
  in
• 8:43
  that
• 8:44
  case,
• 8:44
  this
• 8:44
  is
• 8:44
  what
• 8:44
  we're
• 8:44
  going
• 8:45
  to
• 8:45
  do.
• 8:45
  We're
• 8:45
  going
• 8:45
  to
• 8:45
  talk
• 8:45
  through
• 8:45
  this
• 8:46
  whole
• 8:46
  process
• 8:46
  here
• 8:46
  because
• 8:47
  really
• 8:48
  you've
• 8:49
  got
• 8:49
  to,
• 8:49
  especially
• 8:50
  with
• 8:50
  potentially
• 8:51
  other
• 8:51
  storms
• 8:52
  coming
• 8:52
  in
• 8:52
  the
• 8:52
  area,
• 8:53
  we
• 8:53
  need
• 8:53
  to
• 8:53
  really
• 8:54
  get
• 8:54
  you
• 8:54
  taken
• 8:54
  care
• 8:54
  of
• 8:54
  as
• 8:54
  soon
• 8:55
  as
• 8:55
  possible.
• 8:55
  And
• 8:55
  I
• 8:55
  want
• 8:56
  this
• 8:56
  to
• 8:56
  be
• 8:56
  that.
• 8:57
  Since
• 8:57
  some
• 8:58
  people
• 8:58
  will
• 8:58
  have
• 8:59
  data
• 8:59
  plans
• 8:59
  out
• 9:00
  there,
• 9:00
  I
• 9:00
  really
• 9:00
  want
• 9:00
  this
• 9:01
  to
• 9:01
  be
• 9:01
  something
• 9:01
  that's
• 9:01
  going
• 9:01
  to
• 9:02
  help
• 9:02
  you
• 9:02
  out.
• 9:02
  So,
• 9:03
  so
• 9:03
  far,
• 9:03
  just
• 9:04
  to
• 9:04
  recap,
• 9:04
  call
• 9:05
  your
• 9:05
  insurance
• 9:05
  company.
• 9:06
  We're
• 9:06
  going
• 9:06
  to
• 9:07
  make
• 9:07
  sure
• 9:08
  that
• 9:08
  you
• 9:08
  get
• 9:09
  the
• 9:09
  outside
• 9:09
  of
• 9:09
  the
• 9:09
  structure
• 9:10
  so
• 9:10
  that
• 9:11
  you're
• 9:11
  not
• 9:11
  getting
• 9:11
  water
• 9:12
  inside
• 9:12
  anymore
• 9:12
  so
• 9:13
  we
• 9:13
  can
• 9:13
  start
• 9:13
  to
• 9:13
  dry
• 9:13
  that
• 9:14
  out.
• 9:14
  Three,
• 9:15
  you're
• 9:15
  going
• 9:15
  to
• 9:15
  document
• 9:16
  everything
• 9:16
  you
• 9:17
  can
• 9:17
  in
• 9:17
  there.
• 9:17
  In
• 9:17
  four,
• 9:18
  we're
• 9:18
  going
• 9:18
  to
• 9:19
  take
• 9:19
  all
• 9:19
  of
• 9:19
  that
• 9:19
  wet
• 9:20
  stuff
• 9:20
  out
• 9:20
  of
• 9:20
  the
• 9:20
  building
• 9:21
  and
• 9:21
  get
• 9:21
  it
• 9:22
  good
• 9:22
  and
• 9:22
  gone.
• 9:23
  And
• 9:23
  then
• 9:24
  if
• 9:24
  it's
• 9:25
  something
• 9:25
  that's
• 9:25
  damaged,
• 9:25
  that
• 9:25
  could
• 9:26
  be
• 9:26
  repaired,
• 9:26
  that's
• 9:26
  a
• 9:26
  whole
• 9:26
  other
• 9:27
  story.
• 9:27
  But
• 9:28
  really
• 9:28
  this
• 9:29
  is
• 9:29
  where
• 9:29
  having
• 9:29
  some
• 9:29
  blue
• 9:30
  tarps
• 9:30
  and
• 9:30
  some
• 9:30
  stuff
• 9:31
  to
• 9:32
  really
• 9:32
  help
• 9:32
  get
• 9:32
  this
• 9:33
  stuff
• 9:33
  taken
• 9:34
  care
• 9:34
  of,
• 9:34
  you
• 9:34
  can
• 9:34
  stack
• 9:35
  it
• 9:35
  out
• 9:35
  in
• 9:35
  a
• 9:35
  dry
• 9:35
  spot
• 9:35
  in
• 9:36
  the
• 9:36
  lawn,
• 9:36
  even
• 9:36
  if
• 9:36
  it's
• 9:37
  muddy
• 9:37
  or
• 9:37
  what,
• 9:37
  you
• 9:38
  can
• 9:38
  put
• 9:38
  down
• 9:38
  a
• 9:38
  tarp.
• 9:39
  You
• 9:39
  can
• 9:39
  put
• 9:39
  down
• 9:40
  a
• 9:40
  tarp
• 9:40
  over
• 9:40
  the
• 9:40
  top
• 9:41
  of
• 9:41
  it
• 9:41
  so
• 9:41
  the
• 9:41
  insurance
• 9:41
  company
• 9:42
  can
• 9:42
  come
• 9:42
  take
• 9:42
  a
• 9:42
  look
• 9:43
  at
• 9:43
  it
• 9:43
  and
• 9:44
  you
• 9:44
  can
• 9:44
  start
• 9:44
  getting
• 9:44
  that
• 9:45
  dried
• 9:45
  out.
• 9:45
  Now
• 9:46
  this
• 9:46
  is
• 9:46
  where
• 9:46
  it's
• 9:46
  going
• 9:46
  to
• 9:47
  get
• 9:47
  interesting
• 9:47
  because
• 9:48
  many
• 9:48
  times
• 9:49
  you've
• 9:50
  got
• 9:50
  a
• 9:50
  lot
• 9:50
  of
• 9:50
  things
• 9:51
  going
• 9:51
  wrong
• 9:52
  at
• 9:52
  the
• 9:52
  same
• 9:52
  time.
• 9:52
  So
• 9:53
  you're
• 9:53
  going
• 9:53
  to
• 9:53
  have
• 9:53
  all
• 9:53
  this
• 9:54
  wet
• 9:54
  stuff
• 9:55
  and
• 9:55
  it's
• 9:55
  going
• 9:55
  to
• 9:55
  be
• 9:55
  really
• 9:56
  tough
• 9:56
  and
• 9:56
  it's
• 9:56
  going
• 9:56
  to
• 9:56
  be
• 9:57
  really
• 9:57
  emotionally
• 9:58
  hard
• 9:58
  on
• 9:58
  you.
• 9:58
  And
• 9:59
  I,
• 9:59
  I
• 9:59
  feel
• 9:59
  bad
• 10:00
  for

• 10:00
  out
• 10:00
  dealing
• 10:01
  with
• 10:01
  this
• 10:02
  because
• 10:02
  it
• 10:02
  is
• 10:02
  a
• 10:02
  tragedy
• 10:03
  that

• 10:04
  And
• 10:04
  we
• 10:04
  come
• 10:04
  back,
• 10:04
  we're
• 10:05
  going

• 10:05
  the

  next
• 10:06
  steps
• 10:06
  here
• 10:07
  on
• 10:07
  the
• 10:07
  way
• 10:07
  to
• 10:07
  get
• 10:08
  this
• 10:08
  taken
• 10:08
  care
• 10:08
  of
• 10:09
  because
• 10:09
  we
• 10:10
  need
• 10:10
  to
• 10:10
  start
• 10:10
  figuring
• 10:11
  out
• 10:11
  here
• 10:11
  as

• 10:14
  into
• 10:14
  your
• 10:14
  house?
• 10:15
  Was
• 10:15
  it
• 10:16
  seawater?
• 10:17
  Was
• 10:17
  it
• 10:17
  mud?
• 10:18
  Was
• 10:19
  there
• 10:19
  sewage
• 10:19

  What
• 10:20
  are
• 10:21
  we
• 10:21
  working
• 10:21
  with
• 10:22
  so
• 10:22
  we
• 10:22
  can
• 10:22
  make
• 10:23
  sure
• 10:23
  that
• 10:23
  your

  newer
• 12:44
  one
• 12:44
  that
• 12:44
  we've
• 12:44
  got
• 12:45
  going
• 12:45
  that
• 12:45
  we've
• 12:45
  actually
• 12:45
  putting
• 12:46
  stuff
• 12:46
  up
• 12:46
  in
• 12:46
  now.
• 12:47
  It's
• 12:47
  something
• 12:47
  we're
• 12:47
  going
• 12:47
  to
• 12:48
  be
• 12:48
  putting

  a
• 12:48
  lot
• 12:48
  more
• 12:48
  content
• 12:49
  in
• 12:49
  and
• 12:50
  you
• 12:50
  can
• 12:50
  check
• 12:50
  that
• 12:50
  out.
• 12:51
  Just
• 12:51
  look
• 12:51
  on
• 12:51
  YouTube
• 12:52
  at
• 12:52
  around
• 12:53
  the

  house.
• 12:53
  Eric
• 12:53
  G.
• 12:54
  And
• 12:54
  you'll
• 12:55
  find
• 12:55
  it
• 12:55
  all
• 12:55
  right
• 12:56
  there.
• 12:56
  We've
• 12:57
  been
• 12:57
  talking
• 12:57
  today
• 12:57
  about
• 12:58
  really
• 12:58
  making
• 12:59
  sure
• 13:00
  how
• 13:00
  you
• 13:00
  navigate
• 13:01
  after
• 13:02
  the
• 13:02
  storm.
• 13:03
  What
• 13:03
  happens
• 13:03
  when
• 13:03
  you've
• 13:04
  had
• 13:04
  a
• 13:04
  hurricane
• 13:05
  that
• 13:05
  flooded
• 13:05
  out?
• 13:06
  Maybe
• 13:06
  its
• 13:06
  some
• 13:07
  kind
• 13:07
  of
• 13:07
  other
• 13:07
  storm,
• 13:07
  but
• 13:08
  really
• 13:08
  what
• 13:09
  happens
• 13:09
  when
• 13:09
  you
• 13:09
  have
• 13:09
  a
• 13:10
  house
• 13:10
  that
• 13:10
  is
• 13:10
  flooded
• 13:11
  and
• 13:11
  what
• 13:12
  are
• 13:12
  you
• 13:12
  going
• 13:12
  to
• 13:12
  do
• 13:12
  to
• 13:13
  take
• 13:13
  care
• 13:13
  of
• 13:13
  it?
• 13:14
  Now
• 13:14
  in
• 13:14
  our
• 13:14
  midweek
• 13:15
  special
• 13:15
  this
• 13:15
  last
• 13:15
  week,
• 13:16
  we
• 13:16
  talked
• 13:16
  about
• 13:17
  something
• 13:17
  really
• 13:17
  important
• 13:18
  that
• 13:18
  was
• 13:18
  making
• 13:19
  sure
• 13:19
  that
• 13:19
  youre
• 13:19
  prepared
• 13:20
  for
• 13:20
  these
• 13:20
  kind
• 13:20
  of
• 13:20
  things
• 13:21
  and
• 13:21
  were
• 13:21
  starting
• 13:21
  to
• 13:22
  see
• 13:22
  that
• 13:23
  with
• 13:23
  Asheville,
• 13:24
  North
• 13:24
  Carolina,
• 13:25
  with
• 13:25
  them
• 13:26
  not
• 13:26
  having
• 13:26
  water
• 13:26
  for
• 13:27
  five,
• 13:27
  six,
• 13:27
  seven
• 13:28
  days,
• 13:28
  youre
• 13:29
  seeing
• 13:29
  all
• 13:29
  of
• 13:30
  these
• 13:30
  situations
• 13:31
  where
• 13:31
  places
• 13:31
  are
• 13:31
  cut
• 13:32
  off.
• 13:32
  And
• 13:33
  it's
• 13:33
  a
• 13:33
  great
• 13:34
  reminder
• 13:34
  for
• 13:34
  all
• 13:34
  of
• 13:35
  you
• 13:35
  that
• 13:35
  listen
• 13:35
  on
• 13:35
  the
• 13:35
  radio
• 13:36
  that
• 13:36
  didn't
• 13:36
  catch
• 13:36
  on
• 13:36
  the
• 13:36
  podcast
• 13:37
  to
• 13:37
  really
• 13:37
  make
• 13:38
  sure
• 13:38
  that
• 13:38
  you're
• 13:38
  prepared
• 13:39
  for
• 13:39
  that
• 13:40
  next
• 13:41
  natural
• 13:41
  disaster,
• 13:42
  whether
• 13:42
  in
• 13:42
  your
• 13:42
  hurricane
• 13:43
  or
• 13:43
  it's
• 13:43
  a
• 13:43
  tornado
• 13:44
  or
• 13:44
  it's
• 13:44
  an
• 13:45
  earthquake,
• 13:46
  it
• 13:46
  takes
• 13:47
  days.
• 13:47
  And
• 13:48
  depending
• 13:48
  on
• 13:48
  who
• 13:48
  you've
• 13:49
  got
• 13:49
  running
• 13:50
  your
• 13:50
  governor,
• 13:51
  who
• 13:51
  your
• 13:51
  governor
• 13:52
  is
• 13:52
  and
• 13:52
  how
• 13:52
  prepared
• 13:53
  your
• 13:53
  state
• 13:53
  is,
• 13:54
  it
• 13:54
  could
• 13:54
  take
• 13:55
  a
• 13:55
  week
• 13:55
  or
• 13:55
  two
• 13:55
  for
• 13:55
  people
• 13:56
  to
• 13:56
  get
• 13:56
  out
• 13:56
  there.
• 13:57
  Some
• 13:57
  states
• 13:57
  are
• 13:57
  better
• 13:58
  than
• 13:58
  others.
• 13:58
  Some
• 13:58
  people
• 13:59
  are
• 13:59
  more
• 13:59
  prepared.
• 14:00
  Sometimes
• 14:01
  storms
• 14:01
  are
• 14:01
  so
• 14:02
  big
• 14:02
  that
• 14:03
  they
• 14:03
  can't
• 14:03
  handle
• 14:04
  it
• 14:04
  all.
• 14:05
  And
• 14:05
  so
• 14:06
  give
• 14:06
  them
• 14:07
  a
• 14:07
  week
• 14:07
  or
• 14:07
  two
• 14:07
  to
• 14:08
  come
• 14:08
  help
• 14:08
  you.
• 14:09
  So
• 14:09
  just
• 14:09
  make
• 14:10
  sure
• 14:10
  that
• 14:10
  you're
• 14:10
  prepared
• 14:10
  enough
• 14:11
  to
• 14:12
  last
• 14:12
  that
• 14:12
  week
• 14:13
  or
• 14:13
  two
• 14:14
  without
• 14:14
  somebody
• 14:15
  coming
• 14:15
  to
• 14:15
  help
• 14:15
  you.
• 14:16
  You
• 14:16
  probably
• 14:17
  might
• 14:17
  not,
• 14:17
  you
• 14:17
  might
• 14:18
  not
• 14:18
  have
• 14:18
  water,
• 14:18
  you
• 14:18
  might
• 14:18
  not
• 14:19
  have
• 14:19
  food,
• 14:19
  you
• 14:20
  might
• 14:20
  not
• 14:20
  have
• 14:20
  cell
• 14:21
  coverage.
• 14:21
  You
• 14:22
  might
• 14:22
  not
• 14:22
  have
• 14:22
  anything.
• 14:23
  It
• 14:23
  could
• 14:23
  be
• 14:23
  19
• 14:24
  hundreds
• 14:24
  out
• 14:25
  there
• 14:25
  where
• 14:26
  you're
• 14:26
  on
• 14:26
  your
• 14:27
  own
• 14:27
  and
• 14:27
  you're
• 14:28
  going
• 14:28
  to
• 14:28
  have
• 14:28
  to
• 14:28
  figure
• 14:28
  it
• 14:28
  out.
• 14:29
  So
• 14:29
  make
• 14:29
  sure
• 14:29
  that
• 14:29
  you're
• 14:29
  prepared.
• 14:30
  And
• 14:30
  I
• 14:30
  know
• 14:31
  it's
• 14:31
  super
• 14:31
  expensive
• 14:31
  to
• 14:32
  do
• 14:32
  it,
• 14:32
  but
• 14:32
  there
• 14:32
  are
• 14:32
  some
• 14:33
  great
• 14:33
  things
• 14:33
  you
• 14:33
  can
• 14:34
  do.
• 14:34
  And
• 14:34
  we
• 14:34
  talked
• 14:34
  more
• 14:35
  about
• 14:35
  it
• 14:35
  this
• 14:35
  last
• 14:35
  week
• 14:36
  in
• 14:36
  our
• 14:36
  midweek
• 14:37
  special
• 14:37
  on
• 14:37
  the
• 14:37
  podcast.
• 14:38
  If
• 14:38
  you
• 14:38
  are
• 14:38
  a
• 14:38
  radio
• 14:39
  listener
• 14:40
  now,
• 14:40
  we're
• 14:40
  going
• 14:40
  to
• 14:40
  talk
• 14:40
  about
• 14:41
  here
• 14:41
  we've
• 14:41
  been
• 14:41
  talking
• 14:41
  about
• 14:42
  in
• 14:42
  the
• 14:42
  last
• 14:42
  segment
• 14:42
  here,
• 14:42
  we
• 14:43
  were
• 14:43
  talking
• 14:43
  about,
• 14:44
  all
• 14:44
  right,
• 14:44
  how
• 14:44
  do
• 14:44
  we
• 14:45
  start
• 14:45
  cleanup
• 14:46
  and
• 14:46
  really
• 14:47
  getting
• 14:47
  that
• 14:47
  cleaned
• 14:47
  up?
• 14:48
  Now,
• 14:48
  if
• 14:48
  you've
• 14:49
  got
• 14:49
  dust
• 14:49
  masks,
• 14:50
  rubber
• 14:50
  gloves,
• 14:50
  respirators,
• 14:52
  I
• 14:52
  want
• 14:52
  you
• 14:52
  to
• 14:52
  get
• 14:52
  this
• 14:53
  cleaned
• 14:53
  up.
• 14:53
  But
• 14:54
  there's
• 14:54
  also
• 14:54
  some
• 14:55
  things,
• 14:55
  if
• 14:55
  you've
• 14:55
  got
• 14:55
  the
• 14:56
  services
• 14:56
  and
• 14:56
  if
• 14:57
  you've
• 14:57
  got
• 14:57
  the,
• 14:58
  the
• 14:58
  mail
• 14:59
  coming
• 14:59
  in
• 14:59
  now
• 14:59
  and
• 15:00
  if
• 15:00
  they've
• 15:00
  got
• 15:00
  roads
• 15:00
  opened
• 15:01
  up
• 15:01
  and
• 15:02
  maybe
• 15:02
  you
• 15:02
  don't
• 15:02
  have
• 15:02
  power,
• 15:03
  but
• 15:03
  if
• 15:03
  you
• 15:03
  can
• 15:04
  get
• 15:05
  some
• 15:05
  samples
• 15:05
  of
• 15:05
  what
• 15:06
  you
• 15:06
  got,
• 15:06
  and
• 15:06
  this
• 15:06
  could
• 15:07
  be
• 15:07
  nearly
• 15:07
  impossible
• 15:08
  at
• 15:08
  this
• 15:08
  part
• 15:08
  of
• 15:08
  the
• 15:08
  game.
• 15:09
  But
• 15:09
  if
• 15:09
  it's
• 15:10
  a
• 15:10
  luxury,
• 15:10
  if
• 15:10
  you
• 15:10
  can
• 15:11
  do
• 15:11
  it,
• 15:11
  if
• 15:11
  you
• 15:11
  can
• 15:12
  get
• 15:12
  some
• 15:12
  sample
• 15:12
  sent
• 15:13
  off
• 15:13
  to
• 15:13
  find
• 15:13
  out
• 15:14
  what's
• 15:14
  in
• 15:14
  that
• 15:15
  or
• 15:16
  pay
• 15:16
  attention
• 15:16
  to
• 15:16
  your
• 15:17
  news
• 15:17
  in
• 15:17
  your
• 15:17
  local
• 15:17
  area,
• 15:18
  what's
• 15:19
  on
• 15:19
  the
• 15:19
  aim
• 15:19
  radio?
• 15:19
  What's
• 15:19
  your
• 15:20
  local
• 15:20
  station
• 15:20
  talking
• 15:21
  about?
• 15:21
  If
• 15:22
  they're
• 15:22
  saying,
• 15:22
  hey,
• 15:23
  upstream
• 15:23
  of
• 15:23
  the
• 15:23
  river,
• 15:24
  you
• 15:24
  know,
• 15:25
  the,
• 15:25
  the,
• 15:26
  uh,
• 15:26
  a
• 15:26
  bunch
• 15:26
  of
• 15:27
  sewage
• 15:27
  got
• 15:27
  in
• 15:27
  the
• 15:27
  water.
• 15:28
  Now,
• 15:28
  you
• 15:28
  need
• 15:28
  to
• 15:28
  really
• 15:28
  make
• 15:29
  sure
• 15:29
  what
• 15:30
  youre
• 15:30
  probably
• 15:30
  going
• 15:30
  to
• 15:30
  have
• 15:31
  to
• 15:31
  assume
• 15:32
  in
• 15:32
  many
• 15:32
  cases
• 15:33
  that
• 15:33
  that
• 15:33
  mud
• 15:34
  is
• 15:35
  pretty
• 15:35
  contaminated.
• 15:36
  So
• 15:36
  youre
• 15:36
  going
• 15:36
  to
• 15:36
  need
• 15:37
  to
• 15:37
  get
• 15:37
  in
• 15:37
  there
• 15:38
  and
• 15:38
  get
• 15:38
  that
• 15:39
  cleaned
• 15:39
  up.
• 15:40
  Now,
• 15:40
  if
• 15:41
  youve
• 15:41
  got
• 15:41
  a
• 15:41
  particle
• 15:41
  board
• 15:42
  subfloor
• 15:42
  in
• 15:42
  a
• 15:42
  1980s
• 15:43
  house,
• 15:44
  as
• 15:45
  we
• 15:45
  know,
• 15:45
  thats
• 15:45
  all
• 15:45
  going
• 15:46
  to
• 15:46
  have
• 15:46
  to
• 15:46
  come
• 15:46
  out
• 15:47
  down
• 15:47
  to
• 15:47
  the
• 15:47
  studs
• 15:48
  there
• 15:48
  to
• 15:48
  get
• 15:48
  that
• 15:48
  taken
• 15:49
  care
• 15:49
  of.
• 15:49
  But
• 15:50
  thats
• 15:50
  a
• 15:50
  bigger
• 15:50
  thing.
• 15:51
  So
• 15:51
  what
• 15:52
  I
• 15:52
  would
• 15:52
  be
• 15:52
  doing
• 15:52
  right
• 15:53
  now
• 15:53
  is,
• 15:54
  and
• 15:54
  if
• 15:54
  you've
• 15:54
  got
• 15:55
  water,
• 15:55
  great.
• 15:55
  Some
• 15:56
  of
• 15:56
  this
• 15:56
  you
• 15:56
  can't
• 15:56
  do
• 15:57
  until
• 15:57
  you
• 15:57
  have
• 15:58
  some
• 15:58
  utilities
• 15:59
  to
• 15:59
  be
• 15:59
  able
• 15:59
  to
• 15:59
  get
• 15:59
  in
• 15:59
  there
• 15:59
  and
• 15:59
  clean
• 16:00
  up,
• 16:00
  like
• 16:00
  running
• 16:00
  water
• 16:01
  and
• 16:01
  things
• 16:01
  like
• 16:01
  that.
• 16:02
  Cause
• 16:02
  sometimes
• 16:03
  things
• 16:04
  inside
• 16:04
  that
• 16:04
  can
• 16:05
  survive,
• 16:05
  things
• 16:06
  that
• 16:06
  are
• 16:06
  plastic
• 16:06
  and
• 16:07
  stuff,
• 16:07
  you
• 16:07
  can
• 16:07
  get
• 16:08
  cleaned
• 16:08
  up,
• 16:09
  disinfectant,
• 16:10
  spray
• 16:11
  it
• 16:11
  down
• 16:11
  to
• 16:11
  the
• 16:11
  hose,
• 16:11
  and
• 16:12
  you've
• 16:12
  got
• 16:12
  stuff
• 16:12
  cleaned
• 16:12
  up.
• 16:13
  So
• 16:13
  think
• 16:14
  about
• 16:14
  how
• 16:14
  you
• 16:15
  want
• 16:15
  to
• 16:15
  do
• 16:15
  that.
• 16:16
  Now,
• 16:16
  I've
• 16:16
  also
• 16:16
  seen
• 16:17
  people,
• 16:17
  you
• 16:18
  know,
• 16:18
  go
• 16:18
  rent
• 16:18
  a
• 16:18
  trailer
• 16:19
  or
• 16:19
  go
• 16:20
  get
• 16:20
  one
• 16:20
  of
• 16:20
  those
• 16:20
  pods
• 16:21
  and
• 16:22
  put
• 16:22
  it
• 16:22
  out
• 16:22
  there
• 16:23
  so
• 16:23
  you
• 16:23
  can
• 16:23
  start
• 16:24
  putting
• 16:24
  someplace,
• 16:25
  putting
• 16:25
  stuff
• 16:25
  away
• 16:26
  that
• 16:26
  you've
• 16:26
  cleaned
• 16:26
  and
• 16:26
  get
• 16:27
  it
• 16:27
  out
• 16:27
  of
• 16:27
  there.
• 16:28
  Now,
• 16:28
  at
• 16:28
  this
• 16:28
  point,
• 16:29
  if
• 16:29
  you
• 16:29
  have
• 16:30
  insurance,
• 16:30
  really,
• 16:31
  this
• 16:31
  is
• 16:31
  where
• 16:31
  I
• 16:32
  would
• 16:32
  let
• 16:32
  them
• 16:33
  take
• 16:33
  the
• 16:33
  ball
• 16:34
  and
• 16:34
  run
• 16:34
  with
• 16:34
  it
• 16:35
  because
• 16:35
  you
• 16:36
  really
• 16:36
  need
• 16:36
  them
• 16:36
  to
• 16:37
  come
• 16:37
  in
• 16:37
  and
• 16:38
  start
• 16:38
  putting
• 16:38
  in
• 16:38
  the
• 16:38
  dryers.
• 16:39
  They
• 16:39
  need
• 16:40
  to
• 16:40
  get
• 16:40
  this.
• 16:40
  But
• 16:41
  here's
• 16:41
  the
• 16:41
  thing.
• 16:41
  It's
• 16:41
  probably
• 16:42
  going
• 16:42
  to
• 16:42
  be
• 16:43
  months
• 16:43
  before
• 16:44
  that
• 16:44
  happens.
• 16:45
  So
• 16:45
  your
• 16:45
  insurance
• 16:45
  company
• 16:46
  is
• 16:46
  probably
• 16:46
  going
• 16:46
  to
• 16:46
  put
• 16:46
  you
• 16:47
  up
• 16:47
  someplace.
• 16:48
  It's
• 16:48
  either
• 16:48
  going
• 16:48
  to
• 16:48
  be
• 16:49
  a
• 16:49
  temporary
• 16:49
  trailer,
• 16:50
  some
• 16:50
  of
• 16:50
  those
• 16:50
  FEMA
• 16:51
  type
• 16:51
  trailers.
• 16:52
  It's
• 16:52
  going
• 16:52
  to
• 16:52
  be
• 16:53
  an
• 16:53
  apartment,
• 16:54
  a
• 16:54
  hotel.
• 16:55
  It's
• 16:55
  going
• 16:55
  to
• 16:55
  be
• 16:56
  something
• 16:56
  in
• 16:57
  the,
• 16:57
  in
• 16:57
  the
• 16:57
  interim,
• 16:58
  and
• 16:59
  it's
• 16:59
  going
• 16:59
  to
• 16:59
  be
• 16:59
  tough.
• 17:00
  So
• 17:00
  make
• 17:01
  sure
• 17:01
  that
• 17:01
  you've
• 17:01
  rescued
• 17:02
  your
• 17:02
  clothes,
• 17:03
  any
• 17:03
  toiletries
• 17:04
  that
• 17:04
  you've
• 17:04
  got.
• 17:05
  You
• 17:05
  have
• 17:05
  to
• 17:05
  probably
• 17:05
  go
• 17:05
  out
• 17:06
  and
• 17:06
  buy
• 17:06
  new
• 17:06
  stuff.
• 17:06
  But
• 17:07
  you
• 17:07
  see
• 17:07
  where
• 17:07
  I'm
• 17:07
  getting
• 17:07
  at.
• 17:08
  And
• 17:08
  then
• 17:08
  you're
• 17:08
  going
• 17:08
  to
• 17:09
  need
• 17:09
  to
• 17:09
  let
• 17:09
  them
• 17:09
  come
• 17:09
  in
• 17:10
  with
• 17:10
  their
• 17:10
  people
• 17:11
  and
• 17:11
  do
• 17:11
  it,
• 17:11
  and
• 17:11
  then
• 17:12
  you
• 17:12
  can
• 17:12
  get
• 17:12
  back
• 17:12
  to
• 17:13
  living.
• 17:13
  Life
• 17:14
  is
• 17:14
  awkward
• 17:14
  and
• 17:15
  as
• 17:15
  hard
• 17:15
  as
• 17:15
  that's
• 17:15
  going
• 17:15
  to
• 17:15
  be,
• 17:16
  but
• 17:16
  really
• 17:17
  that's
• 17:17
  going
• 17:17
  to
• 17:17
  be
• 17:18
  that
• 17:18
  next
• 17:19
  step
• 17:19
  to
• 17:19
  get
• 17:20
  that
• 17:20
  going.
• 17:20
  Now,
• 17:21
  as
• 17:21
  we
• 17:21
  talked
• 17:21
  about,
• 17:22
  a
• 17:22
  lot
• 17:22
  of
• 17:22
  people
• 17:22
  don't
• 17:22
  have
• 17:22
  insurance
• 17:23
  as
• 17:23
  well.
• 17:23
  So
• 17:24
  this
• 17:24
  is
• 17:24
  where
• 17:24
  that
• 17:24
  lack
• 17:25
  of
• 17:25
  coverage
• 17:25
  is
• 17:25
  going
• 17:25
  to
• 17:25
  be
• 17:26
  expensive.
• 17:26
  Now
• 17:26
  you're
• 17:27
  going
• 17:27
  to
• 17:27
  have
• 17:27
  to
• 17:27
  get
• 17:27
  in
• 17:27
  there
• 17:28
  and
• 17:28
  figure
• 17:28
  out
• 17:28
  how
• 17:29
  this
• 17:29
  is
• 17:29
  going
• 17:29
  to
• 17:29
  be
• 17:30
  probably
• 17:30
  your
• 17:31
  largest
• 17:31
  DIY
• 17:32
  project
• 17:32
  you've
• 17:32
  ever
• 17:32
  taken
• 17:33
  care
• 17:33
  of.
• 17:33
  So
• 17:33
  like
• 17:34
  we
• 17:34
  talked
• 17:34
  about
• 17:34
  last
• 17:35
  hour,
• 17:35
  you're
• 17:35
  going
• 17:35
  to
• 17:35
  go
• 17:35
  through
• 17:36
  and
• 17:36
  take
• 17:36
  out
• 17:37
  all
• 17:38
  of
• 17:38
  the
• 17:38
  stuff
• 17:38
  that
• 17:39
  is
• 17:39
  soaking
• 17:39
  wet.
• 17:40
  And
• 17:40
  your
• 17:40
  job
• 17:40
  is
• 17:40
  to
• 17:41
  get
• 17:41
  that
• 17:41
  really
• 17:42
  dry
• 17:43
  in
• 17:43
  that
• 17:43
  house.
• 17:44
  So
• 17:44
  once
• 17:45
  you
• 17:45
  get
• 17:45
  it
• 17:45
  cleaned
• 17:46
  out,
• 17:46
  once
• 17:46
  you
• 17:46
  get
• 17:47
  the
• 17:48
  bad
• 17:48
  drywall
• 17:49
  out,
• 17:49
  the
• 17:49
  rotten,
• 17:50
  nasty,
• 17:51
  wet
• 17:51
  subfloors,
• 17:52
  if
• 17:52
  it's
• 17:52
  plywood,
• 17:53
  sometimes
• 17:53
  that
• 17:53
  can
• 17:54
  dry
• 17:54
  out.
• 17:54
  But
• 17:54
  the
• 17:54
  next
• 17:55
  phase
• 17:55
  is,
• 17:55
  is
• 17:56
  how
• 17:56
  are
• 17:56
  you
• 17:56
  going
• 17:56
  to
• 17:57
  disinfect
• 17:58
  something
• 17:58
  that
• 17:59
  is
• 18:00
  porous
• 18:00
  like
• 18:00
  plywood?
• 18:01
  You're
• 18:01
  probably
• 18:02
  better
• 18:02
  off
• 18:02
  to
• 18:03
  take
• 18:03
  that
• 18:03
  down
• 18:03
  if
• 18:03
  you
• 18:03
  can
• 18:04
  and
• 18:04
  just
• 18:05
  put
• 18:05
  new
• 18:05
  in.
• 18:06
  So
• 18:07
  that's
• 18:07
  going
• 18:07
  to
• 18:07
  be
• 18:07
  the
• 18:07
  next
• 18:08
  step
• 18:08
  depending
• 18:09
  on
• 18:09
  what
• 18:09
  your,
• 18:09
  if
• 18:10
  you've
• 18:10
  got
• 18:10
  a
• 18:10
  basement
• 18:10
  now,
• 18:11
  you've
• 18:11
  got
• 18:11
  to
• 18:11
  work
• 18:11
  on
• 18:11
  that.
• 18:12
  And
• 18:13
  the
• 18:13
  next
• 18:13
  things
• 18:13
  might
• 18:13
  be
• 18:14
  just
• 18:14
  getting
• 18:14
  utilities
• 18:15
  in
• 18:15
  there
• 18:15
  where
• 18:16
  you
• 18:16
  have
• 18:16
  an
• 18:16
  h
• 18:16
  vac
• 18:17
  system
• 18:17
  that's
• 18:17
  working.
• 18:18
  The
• 18:18
  first
• 18:19
  thing
• 18:19
  we
• 18:19
  got
• 18:19
  to
• 18:19
  do
• 18:19
  is
• 18:19
  get
• 18:19
  this
• 18:19
  thing
• 18:20
  dried
• 18:20
  out.
• 18:20
  And
• 18:21
  that's
• 18:21
  where
• 18:21
  you're
• 18:22
  going
• 18:22
  to
• 18:22
  really
• 18:22
  have
• 18:22
  to
• 18:22
  figure
• 18:23
  out.
• 18:23
  Maybe
• 18:23
  you're
• 18:23
  going
• 18:23
  to
• 18:23
  have
• 18:23
  to
• 18:24
  jump
• 18:24
  on
• 18:24
  Amazon
• 18:25
  and
• 18:25
  order
• 18:25
  some
• 18:26
  dehumidifiers
• 18:26
  to
• 18:27
  try
• 18:27
  to
• 18:27
  help
• 18:27
  get
• 18:27
  that
• 18:28
  down.
• 18:28
  But
• 18:28
  this
• 18:29
  is
• 18:29
  where
• 18:29
  getting
• 18:29
  that
• 18:29
  dry
• 18:30
  is
• 18:30
  really,
• 18:31
  really
• 18:31
  important.
• 18:32
  So
• 18:33
  once
• 18:33
  you
• 18:33
  get
• 18:33
  that
• 18:33
  down
• 18:34
  and
• 18:34
  once
• 18:34
  you
• 18:34
  get
• 18:34
  it
• 18:34
  cleaned
• 18:35
  up
• 18:35
  and
• 18:35
  you've
• 18:35
  got
• 18:35
  some
• 18:36
  water
• 18:36
  now
• 18:37
  you're
• 18:37
  going
• 18:37
  to
• 18:37
  start
• 18:37
  working
• 18:37
  on
• 18:37
  putting
• 18:38
  things
• 18:38
  back
• 18:38
  into
• 18:39
  this.
• 18:39
  But
• 18:40
  again,
• 18:40
  we
• 18:40
  want
• 18:40
  to
• 18:41
  make
• 18:41
  sure
• 18:41
  that
• 18:42
  we
• 18:42
  understand
• 18:42
  what
• 18:43
  happens.
• 18:43
  So
• 18:43
  let's
• 18:43
  do
• 18:44
  a
• 18:44
  little
• 18:44
  bit
• 18:44
  of,
• 18:44
  a
• 18:45
  little
• 18:45
  bit
• 18:45
  of
• 18:46
  a,
• 18:46
  now
• 18:46
  let's
• 18:46
  break
• 18:47
  this
• 18:47
  down,
• 18:47
  I
• 18:47
  guess
• 18:47
  is
• 18:48
  probably
• 18:48
  the
• 18:48
  best
• 18:48
  way
• 18:48
  to
• 18:48
  put
• 18:48
  it.
• 18:48
  Let's
• 18:49
  break
• 18:49
  this
• 18:49
  down
• 18:49
  and
• 18:49
  see
• 18:50
  what
• 18:50
  happened.
• 18:51
  So
• 18:51
  did
• 18:51
  you
• 18:51
  have
• 18:52
  a
• 18:52
  dam
• 18:53
  break?
• 18:53
  Did
• 18:53
  you
• 18:53
  have
• 18:54
  20
• 18:55
  inches
• 18:55
  of
• 18:55
  rain?
• 18:55
  What
• 18:56
  happened
• 18:56
  here
• 18:56
  that
• 18:57
  caused
• 18:57
  this
• 18:57
  flood?
• 18:58
  Is
• 18:58
  there
• 18:58
  anything
• 18:59
  you
• 18:59
  can
• 18:59
  do
• 19:00
  during
• 19:00
  the
• 19:00
  construction
• 19:01
  phase
• 19:01
  of
• 19:01
  this?
• 19:02
  As
• 19:02
  you're
• 19:03
  working
• 19:03
  outside?
• 19:04
  Can
• 19:04
  you
• 19:04
  landscape
• 19:05
  maybe
• 19:06
  to
• 19:06
  help
• 19:06
  create
• 19:07
  a
• 19:07
  berm
• 19:07
  from
• 19:07
  water
• 19:08
  coming
• 19:08
  up
• 19:08
  this
• 19:08
  way?
• 19:09
  Now
• 19:10
  this
• 19:10
  is
• 19:10
  where
• 19:10
  it
• 19:10
  can
• 19:10
  get
• 19:10
  a
• 19:11
  little
• 19:11
  sketchy.
• 19:12
  This
• 19:12
  is
• 19:12
  where
• 19:12
  this,
• 19:13
  the,
• 19:13
  the
• 19:13
  government
• 19:14
  mightn't
• 19:14
  get
• 19:14
  involved
• 19:15
  because
• 19:15
  I
• 19:15
  tell
• 19:15
  you
• 19:15
  what,
• 19:16
  many
• 19:17
  times
• 19:17
  if
• 19:17
  you're
• 19:17
  along
• 19:18
  a
• 19:18
  creek
• 19:18
  or
• 19:18
  a
• 19:18
  river,
• 19:19
  they
• 19:19
  do
• 19:20
  not
• 19:20
  like
• 19:20
  you
• 19:21
  raising
• 19:21
  up
• 19:21
  a
• 19:22
  bank
• 19:22
  to
• 19:22
  try
• 19:22
  to
• 19:22
  protect
• 19:23
  your
• 19:23
  house
• 19:23
  because
• 19:24
  that's
• 19:24
  going
• 19:24
  to
• 19:24
  displace
• 19:25
  water
• 19:25
  to
• 19:25
  your
• 19:25
  neighbors
• 19:26
  or
• 19:26
  someplace
• 19:26
  else.
• 19:27
  So
• 19:27
  that
• 19:27
  could
• 19:27
  be
• 19:27
  an
• 19:27
  issue
• 19:28
  for
• 19:28
  that.
• 19:29
  But
• 19:29
  make
• 19:29
  sure
• 19:29
  if
• 19:30
  you're
• 19:30
  in
• 19:30
  a
• 19:30
  floodplain
• 19:30
  or
• 19:31
  if
• 19:31
  it's
• 19:31
  just
• 19:31
  rainwater
• 19:32
  and
• 19:32
  you
• 19:32
  just
• 19:33
  have
• 19:33
  damage,
• 19:34
  then
• 19:34
  maybe
• 19:34
  there's
• 19:35
  not
• 19:35
  much
• 19:35
  you
• 19:35
  can
• 19:35
  do
• 19:35
  about
• 19:36
  it.
• 19:36
  But
• 19:37
  there
• 19:37
  are
• 19:37
  some
• 19:37
  great
• 19:38
  products
• 19:38
  out
• 19:38
  there
• 19:39
  that
• 19:39
  are
• 19:40
  really
• 19:40
  good
• 19:40
  for
• 19:41
  those
• 19:41
  temporary
• 19:42
  rare
• 19:43
  floods
• 19:43
  that
• 19:43
  you
• 19:43
  can
• 19:43
  put
• 19:44
  around
• 19:44
  your
• 19:44
  house
• 19:44
  that'll
• 19:44
  stop
• 19:45
  three,
• 19:45
  four,
• 19:45
  five
• 19:46
  inches
• 19:46
  of
• 19:46
  water.
• 19:47
  And
• 19:47
  that
• 19:47
  can
• 19:47
  be
• 19:48
  the
• 19:48
  difference
• 19:48
  between
• 19:48
  a
• 19:48
  flooded
• 19:49
  basement
• 19:49
  and
• 19:49
  not.
• 19:50
  So
• 19:50
  something
• 19:50
  to
• 19:50
  consider
• 19:51
  and
• 19:51
  something
• 19:52
  maybe
• 19:52
  to
• 19:52
  be
• 19:53
  planned
• 19:53
  for
• 19:53
  ahead.
• 19:54
  Now,
• 19:54
  the
• 19:55
  thing
• 19:55
  I
• 19:55
  want
• 19:55
  you
• 19:55
  to
• 19:55
  do
• 19:55
  is
• 19:56
  you're
• 19:56
  going
• 19:56
  to
• 19:56
  have
• 19:56
  some,
• 19:57
  some
• 19:57
  mold
• 19:58
  and
• 19:58
  stuff
• 19:58
  in
• 19:58
  here.
• 19:58
  So
• 19:59
  wherever
• 19:59
  you
• 19:59
  get
• 19:59
  this
• 20:00
  cleaned
• 20:00
  out
• 20:01
  because
• 20:01
  you
• 20:01
  probably
• 20:02
  didn't
• 20:02
  get
• 20:02
  it
• 20:02
  dry
• 20:02
  in
• 20:03
  time.
• 20:03
  Once
• 20:04
  you
• 20:04
  get
• 20:04
  that
• 20:04
  down,
• 20:05
  you're
• 20:05
  going
• 20:05
  to
• 20:05
  want
• 20:05
  to
• 20:05
  go
• 20:06
  in.
• 20:06
  And
• 20:06
  here's
• 20:06
  what
• 20:07
  I
• 20:07
  would
• 20:07
  recommend.
• 20:07
  And
• 20:08
  there's
• 20:08
  a
• 20:08
  great
• 20:08
  product.
• 20:09
  We
• 20:09
  talked
• 20:09
  about
• 20:09
  it
• 20:10
  last
• 20:10
  week,
• 20:11
  actually
• 20:11
  two
• 20:11
  weeks
• 20:11
  ago,
• 20:12
  and
• 20:12
  we
• 20:12
  talked
• 20:12
  with
• 20:12
  Andy
• 20:13
  Pace.
• 20:13
  And
• 20:14
  take
• 20:14
  a
• 20:14
  look
• 20:14
  at
• 20:15
  Callowell
• 20:15
  paint.
• 20:16
  This
• 20:16
  is
• 20:16
  a
• 20:16
  great
• 20:16
  paint
• 20:17
  that
• 20:17
  you
• 20:17
  can
• 20:17
  paint
• 20:17
  on
• 20:18
  the
• 20:18
  studs,
• 20:19
  the
• 20:19
  framing,
• 20:20
  anything
• 20:21
  that
• 20:21
  had
• 20:21
  gotten
• 20:22
  wetland.
• 20:22
  And
• 20:23
  if
• 20:23
  you're
• 20:23
  trying
• 20:23
  to
• 20:23
  keep
• 20:24
  mold
• 20:24
  from
• 20:24
  growing
• 20:24
  on
• 20:25
  it,
• 20:25
  this
• 20:25
  stuff
• 20:26
  when
• 20:26
  you
• 20:26
  paint
• 20:26
  it
• 20:26
  on,
• 20:27
  actually
• 20:28
  is
• 20:28
  basically
• 20:29
  made,
• 20:29
  it's
• 20:29
  made
• 20:29
  out
• 20:29
  of
• 20:30
  lime.
• 20:30
  So
• 20:31
  what
• 20:31
  happens
• 20:31
  is,
• 20:31
  is
• 20:31
  when
• 20:32
  you
• 20:32
  paint
• 20:32
  that
• 20:32
  paint
• 20:32
  on
• 20:33
  there,
• 20:33
  mold
• 20:33
  can't
• 20:34
  grow
• 20:34
  on
• 20:34
  it
• 20:34
  for
• 20:34
  five
• 20:34
  years
• 20:35
  because
• 20:35
  the
• 20:35
  alkalinity
• 20:36
  of
• 20:36
  the
• 20:36
  product.
• 20:37
  So
• 20:37
  it's
• 20:37
  something
• 20:37
  that's
• 20:38
  good
• 20:38
  preventative
• 20:38
  and
• 20:39
  it
• 20:39
  will
• 20:39
  also
• 20:39
  kill
• 20:40
  anything
• 20:40
  that's
• 20:40
  on
• 20:40
  it
• 20:40
  because
• 20:41
  mold's
• 20:42
  not
• 20:42
  going
• 20:42
  to
• 20:42
  grow
• 20:42
  on
• 20:42
  it.
• 20:42
  It's
• 20:42
  too
• 20:43
  harsh
• 20:43
  of
• 20:43
  an
• 20:43
  environment.
• 20:44
  The
• 20:44
  last
• 20:44
  thing
• 20:45
  I
• 20:45
  want
• 20:45
  to
• 20:45
  see
• 20:45
  you
• 20:45
  do
• 20:45
  is
• 20:45
  go
• 20:46
  around
• 20:46
  and
• 20:46
  don't
• 20:46
  do
• 20:46
  what
• 20:47
  people
• 20:47
  have
• 20:47
  done
• 20:47
  out
• 20:47
  there.
• 20:48
  And
• 20:48
  we'll
• 20:48
  talk
• 20:49
  about
• 20:49
  the
• 20:49

  We'll

  do
• 20:54
  that
• 20:54
  just
• 20:54
  as
• 20:54
  soon
• 20:54
  as

  out
• 21:39
  how

  do
• 21:40
  I
• 21:40
  get
• 21:40
  through
• 21:40
  this
• 21:41
  now,
• 21:41
  the
• 21:42
  biggest
• 21:42
  mistake
• 21:42
  that
• 21:42
  I
• 21:43
  see
• 21:43
  people
• 21:43
  make
• 21:43
  when
• 21:44
  they're
• 21:44
  trying
• 21:44
  to
• 21:44
  clean
• 21:45
  up
• 21:45
  mold
• 21:45
  from
• 21:46
  water
• 21:46
  damage
• 21:46
  or
• 21:47
  just
• 21:47
  stop
• 21:47
  it
• 21:48
  from
• 21:48
  coming
• 21:48
  in
• 21:49
  is
• 21:49
  grabbing
• 21:50
  that
• 21:50
  bottle
• 21:50
  of
• 21:50
  bleach.
• 21:51
  Theres
• 21:52
  no
• 21:52
  reason
• 21:52
  to
• 21:53
  do
• 21:53
  that.
• 21:53
  And
• 21:54
  heres
• 21:54
  why.
• 21:54
  Bleach
• 21:55
  causes
• 21:55
  some
• 21:55
  significant
• 21:56
  problems.
• 21:56
  Now
• 21:56
  if
• 21:57
  you
• 21:57
  had
• 21:57
  a
• 21:58
  white
• 21:58
  piece
• 21:58
  of
• 21:59
  the
• 21:59
  side
• 21:59
  of
• 22:00
  your
• 22:00
  refrigerator
• 22:00
  and
• 22:00
  theres
• 22:01
  mold
• 22:01
  growing
• 22:01
  on
• 22:01
  it,
• 22:01
  yeah,
• 22:02
  technically,
• 22:02
  you
• 22:02
  could
• 22:03
  take
• 22:03
  bleach
• 22:03
  and
• 22:03
  wipe
• 22:03
  it
• 22:04
  down,
• 22:04
  but
• 22:05
  you
• 22:05
  dont
• 22:05
  need
• 22:05
  all
• 22:05
  those
• 22:06
  chemicals
• 22:06
  in
• 22:06
  your
• 22:06
  house.
• 22:07
  Youre
• 22:07
  trying
• 22:07
  to
• 22:08
  get
• 22:08
  cleaned
• 22:08
  up.
• 22:09
  And
• 22:10
  two,
• 22:10
  on
• 22:10
  a
• 22:10
  porous
• 22:11
  surface
• 22:12
  like
• 22:12
  wood,
• 22:13
  drywall,
• 22:13
  things
• 22:14
  like
• 22:14
  that.
• 22:14
  Bleach
• 22:15
  doesnt
• 22:15
  work.
• 22:15
  And
• 22:16
  actually
• 22:16
  what
• 22:16
  happens
• 22:16
  is
• 22:17
  it
• 22:17
  might
• 22:17
  kill
• 22:17
  a
• 22:17
  little
• 22:17
  bit
• 22:18
  on
• 22:18
  the
• 22:18
  top,
• 22:18
  but
• 22:19
  what
• 22:19
  its
• 22:19
  doing
• 22:19
  is
• 22:19
  its
• 22:20
  bleaching
• 22:20
  out
• 22:21
  all
• 22:21
  that
• 22:21
  mold
• 22:21
  thats
• 22:22
  dark
• 22:22
  green,
• 22:23
  black,
• 22:23
  brown,
• 22:23
  whatever.
• 22:24
  And
• 22:24
  what
• 22:25
  its
• 22:25
  doing
• 22:25
  is
• 22:25
  its
• 22:26
  making
• 22:26
  it
• 22:26
  harder
• 22:26
  to
• 22:27
  find
• 22:27
  in
• 22:27
  three
• 22:28
  the
• 22:28
  water
• 22:28
  thats
• 22:28
  in
• 22:29
  bleach.
• 22:29
  Because
• 22:29
  bleach
• 22:29
  is
• 22:30
  mostly
• 22:30
  water.
• 22:31
  Its
• 22:31
  actually
• 22:31
  feeding
• 22:32
  the
• 22:32
  stuff
• 22:32
  it
• 22:32
  didnt
• 22:33
  kill.
• 22:33
  So
• 22:34
  youre
• 22:34
  not
• 22:34
  doing
• 22:34
  yourself
• 22:35
  any
• 22:35
  good.
• 22:35
  So
• 22:36
  when
• 22:36
  it
• 22:36
  comes
• 22:37
  to
• 22:37
  dealing
• 22:37
  with
• 22:37
  mold,
• 22:38
  take
• 22:39
  the
• 22:39
  bleach,
• 22:40
  put
• 22:40
  it
• 22:40
  away.
• 22:41
  It's
• 22:41
  not
• 22:42
  the
• 22:42
  right
• 22:42
  product
• 22:43
  for
• 22:43
  it.
• 22:44
  Now
• 22:44
  there
• 22:44
  are
• 22:44
  a
• 22:45
  ton
• 22:45
  of
• 22:45
  mold
• 22:45
  cleaners
• 22:46
  from
• 22:47
  concrobium
• 22:48
  to
• 22:48
  a
• 22:48
  lot
• 22:48
  of
• 22:48
  different
• 22:49
  products
• 22:49
  out
• 22:50
  there
• 22:50
  that
• 22:50
  you
• 22:51
  can
• 22:51
  get
• 22:51
  at
• 22:51
  your
• 22:51
  home
• 22:52
  improvement
• 22:52
  retailer
• 22:53
  that
• 22:53
  will
• 22:53
  work
• 22:54
  a
• 22:54
  lot
• 22:54
  better
• 22:55
  and
• 22:55
  they're
• 22:55
  going
• 22:55
  to
• 22:56
  be
• 22:56
  better
• 22:56
  off
• 22:56
  for
• 22:56
  you.
• 22:57
  And
• 22:57
  then
• 22:57
  the
• 22:57
  other
• 22:58
  thing
• 22:58
  that
• 22:58
  I
• 22:58
  don't
• 22:59
  really
• 22:59
  want
• 22:59
  you
• 22:59
  to
• 22:59
  do
• 23:00
  is
• 23:00
  just
• 23:00
  go
• 23:01
  in
• 23:01
  there
• 23:01
  with
• 23:01
  Primer
• 23:02
  and
• 23:02
  try
• 23:02
  to
• 23:02
  encapsulate
• 23:03
  that.
• 23:03
  I
• 23:03
  want
• 23:03
  to
• 23:03
  see,
• 23:04
  like
• 23:04
  we
• 23:04
  talked
• 23:04
  about
• 23:04
  earlier,
• 23:05
  I
• 23:05
  want
• 23:05
  to
• 23:05
  see
• 23:06
  everything
• 23:06
  get
• 23:06
  cleaned
• 23:07
  up,
• 23:07
  disinfected,
• 23:09
  killed,
• 23:10
  and
• 23:11
  then
• 23:12
  after
• 23:12
  it's
• 23:12
  dry,
• 23:13
  this
• 23:13
  is
• 23:14
  one
• 23:14
  of
• 23:14
  those
• 23:14
  things.
• 23:14
  And
• 23:14
  if
• 23:14
  you
• 23:14
  need
• 23:15
  to
• 23:15
  jump
• 23:16
  on
• 23:17
  Amazon
• 23:17
  or
• 23:17
  wherever
• 23:18
  and
• 23:18
  have
• 23:18
  a
• 23:19
  moisture
• 23:20
  meter
• 23:20
  for
• 23:20
  wood
• 23:21
  sent
• 23:21
  over
• 23:21
  to
• 23:21
  you,
• 23:22
  you
• 23:22
  just
• 23:23
  want
• 23:23
  to
• 23:23
  get
• 23:23
  everything
• 23:24
  really,
• 23:24
  really
• 23:25
  dry.
• 23:26
  And
• 23:26
  you
• 23:26
  want
• 23:26
  to
• 23:26
  get
• 23:27
  that
• 23:27
  as
• 23:27
  dry
• 23:27
  as
• 23:28
  you
• 23:28
  can
• 23:28
  because
• 23:28
  that
• 23:29
  way
• 23:29
  you've
• 23:29
  got
• 23:29
  that
• 23:29
  house
• 23:30
  dialed
• 23:30
  in.
• 23:31
  Now,
• 23:32
  when
• 23:32
  we
• 23:32
  dealt
• 23:32
  with
• 23:32
  the
• 23:32
  house
• 23:33
  that
• 23:33
  we
• 23:33
  had
• 23:33
  out
• 23:33
  at
• 23:33
  the
• 23:33
  coast
• 23:34
  with
• 23:35
  the
• 23:35
  water
• 23:35
  damage
• 23:35
  out
• 23:36
  there,
• 23:36
  we
• 23:36
  ran
• 23:37
  a
• 23:37
  dehumidifier
• 23:38
  after
• 23:38
  we
• 23:38
  got,
• 23:39
  and
• 23:39
  this
• 23:39
  thing
• 23:39
  had
• 23:39
  a,
• 23:40
  a
• 23:40
  leaky
• 23:40
  roof
• 23:40
  for
• 23:41
  20
• 23:41
  years.
• 23:41
  And
• 23:41
  so
• 23:41
  it
• 23:41
  literally
• 23:42
  had
• 23:42
  water
• 23:42
  running
• 23:43
  inside
• 23:43
  of
• 23:43
  it,
• 23:43
  much
• 23:43
  like
• 23:43
  a
• 23:44
  flood
• 23:44
  house
• 23:44
  would
• 23:44
  be.
• 23:45
  And
• 23:46
  it
• 23:46
  took
• 23:46
  that
• 23:46
  thing
• 23:47
  with
• 23:47
  a
• 23:47
  dehumidifier
• 23:48
  running
• 23:48
  in
• 23:48
  that
• 23:48
  house.
• 23:49
  It
• 23:49
  took
• 23:49
  us
• 23:49
  a
• 23:49
  couple
• 23:50
  months
• 23:51
  to
• 23:51
  get
• 23:51
  everything
• 23:52
  really
• 23:53
  dried
• 23:53
  out.
• 23:53
  And
• 23:53
  for
• 23:54
  us,
• 23:54
  we
• 23:54
  weren't
• 23:54
  living
• 23:54
  in
• 23:54
  it.
• 23:54
  So
• 23:54
  it
• 23:54
  wasn't
• 23:55
  that
• 23:55
  big
• 23:55
  a
• 23:55
  deal.
• 23:56
  But
• 23:56
  it
• 23:56
  really
• 23:57
  took
• 23:57
  that
• 23:57
  long
• 23:57
  to
• 23:58
  get
• 23:58
  that
• 23:58
  dried
• 23:59
  out.
• 23:59
  It
• 23:59
  takes
• 23:59
  a
• 24:00
  while.
• 24:00
  And
• 24:01
  we
• 24:01
  didn't
• 24:01
  have
• 24:01
  a
• 24:01
  lot
• 24:01
  of
• 24:01
  good
• 24:01
  electrical
• 24:02
  in
• 24:02
  there,
• 24:02
  so
• 24:03
  we
• 24:03
  had
• 24:03
  a
• 24:03
  lot
• 24:03
  of
• 24:04
  work
• 24:04
  to
• 24:04
  do
• 24:04
  in
• 24:04
  that
• 24:04
  place.
• 24:05
  But
• 24:05
  it
• 24:05
  is
• 24:06
  not
• 24:06
  a
• 24:06
  really
• 24:07
  quick
• 24:07
  process
• 24:08
  to
• 24:08
  get
• 24:08
  that
• 24:08
  dried
• 24:09
  out.
• 24:09
  Now
• 24:09
  what
• 24:10
  you'll
• 24:10
  see
• 24:10
  is,
• 24:10
  is
• 24:11
  when
• 24:11
  a
• 24:11
  flood
• 24:11
  restoration
• 24:12
  company
• 24:12
  comes
• 24:13
  in,
• 24:13
  they
• 24:14
  come
• 24:14
  in
• 24:14
  with
• 24:14
  those
• 24:15
  big
• 24:15
  fans,
• 24:16
  they
• 24:16
  will
• 24:17
  move
• 24:17
  the
• 24:17
  air
• 24:17
  around,
• 24:18
  they
• 24:18
  will
• 24:19
  bring
• 24:19
  in
• 24:19
  big
• 24:20
  dehumidifiers
• 24:21
  that
• 24:21
  will
• 24:21
  put,
• 24:22
  take
• 24:22
  out
• 24:23
  all
• 24:23
  of
• 24:23
  that
• 24:24
  moisture
• 24:24
  and
• 24:25
  get
• 24:25
  it
• 24:25
  out
• 24:25
  of
• 24:25
  there.
• 24:26
  But
• 24:26
  it
• 24:26
  still
• 24:26
  takes
• 24:27
  weeks
• 24:27
  for
• 24:28
  that
• 24:28
  to
• 24:28
  happen.
• 24:29
  Now
• 24:29
  here's
• 24:29
  one
• 24:29
  thing
• 24:30
  I
• 24:30
  want
• 24:30
  you
• 24:30
  to
• 24:30
  be
• 24:30
  really
• 24:31
  careful
• 24:31
  of,
• 24:32
  and
• 24:32
  this
• 24:32
  is
• 24:32
  where
• 24:33
  I
• 24:33
  want
• 24:33
  you
• 24:33
  as
• 24:33
  a
• 24:34
  homeowner
• 24:34
  to
• 24:34
  be
• 24:35
  asking
• 24:35
  questions
• 24:36
  if
• 24:36
  your
• 24:37
  insurance
• 24:37
  company's
• 24:37
  coming
• 24:38
  in,
• 24:38
  because
• 24:38
  you
• 24:38
  probably
• 24:39
  have
• 24:39
  an
• 24:39
  insurance
• 24:40
  policy
• 24:40
  that
• 24:40
  says,
• 24:40
  hey,
• 24:41
  we're
• 24:41
  going
• 24:41
  to
• 24:41
  spend
• 24:42
  up
• 24:42
  to
• 24:42
  x,
• 24:42
  y
• 24:43
  or
• 24:43
  z
• 24:43
  to
• 24:44
  cover
• 24:44
  this.
• 24:45
  And
• 24:45
  this
• 24:45
  happened
• 24:45
  to
• 24:46
  my
• 24:46
  buddy
• 24:46
  with
• 24:47
  his
• 24:47
  house
• 24:47
  that
• 24:48
  had
• 24:48
  a
• 24:48
  water
• 24:48
  pipe
• 24:48
  break.
• 24:49
  This
• 24:49
  is
• 24:50
  something
• 24:50
  that
• 24:50
  you
• 24:50
  need
• 24:50
  to
• 24:51
  watch
• 24:51
  for
• 24:51
  the.
• 24:51
  Gotcha.
• 24:52
  So
• 24:52
  he
• 24:52
  was
• 24:52
  about,
• 24:53
  that
• 24:53
  place
• 24:53
  was
• 24:53
  about
• 24:54
  an
• 24:54
  hour,
• 24:54
  hour
• 24:54
  and
• 24:54
  a
• 24:54
  half
• 24:54
  out
• 24:54
  of
• 24:55
  town
• 24:55
  here
• 24:55
  up
• 24:56
  in
• 24:56
  the
• 24:56
  mountains.
• 24:56
  Beautiful
• 24:57
  place.
• 24:57
  They
• 24:58
  had
• 24:58
  a
• 24:58
  winter
• 24:59
  freeze
• 24:59
  where
• 24:59
  the
• 24:59
  pipe
• 25:00
  broke.
• 25:00
  And
• 25:00
  upstairs,
• 25:01
  water
• 25:01
  ran
• 25:02
  for
• 25:02
  a
• 25:02
  number
• 25:02
  of
• 25:02
  hours
• 25:03
  because
• 25:03
  they
• 25:03
  were
• 25:04
  hours
• 25:04
  away
• 25:04
  when
• 25:05
  they
• 25:05
  realized
• 25:05
  that
• 25:05
  there
• 25:05
  was
• 25:06
  water
• 25:06
  in
• 25:06
  their
• 25:06
  video
• 25:06
  camera
• 25:07
  that
• 25:07
  was
• 25:08
  coming
• 25:08
  down.
• 25:08
  So
• 25:08
  the
• 25:08
  water
• 25:08
  had
• 25:09
  been
• 25:09
  running
• 25:09
  for
• 25:09
  a
• 25:09
  while,
• 25:09
  probably
• 25:10
  overnight.
• 25:11
  So
• 25:11
  they
• 25:11
  came
• 25:11
  out
• 25:12
  there,
• 25:12
  got
• 25:12
  the
• 25:13
  water
• 25:13
  shut
• 25:13
  off,
• 25:13
  called
• 25:13
  the
• 25:14
  insurance
• 25:14
  company,
• 25:14
  did
• 25:15
  everything
• 25:15
  right.
• 25:16
  But
• 25:16
  the
• 25:16
  problem
• 25:16
  was
• 25:16
  the
• 25:17
  insurance
• 25:17
  company,
• 25:17
  since
• 25:18
  it
• 25:18
  was
• 25:18
  out
• 25:18
  there
• 25:18
  a
• 25:18
  little
• 25:18
  bit,
• 25:19
  sent
• 25:19
  out
• 25:19
  their
• 25:20
  team
• 25:21
  to
• 25:21
  do
• 25:22
  basically
• 25:23
  in
• 25:23
  this
• 25:23
  cabin
• 25:24
  to
• 25:24
  get
• 25:24
  this
• 25:24
  thing
• 25:25
  cleaned
• 25:25
  up.
• 25:25
  So
• 25:25
  they
• 25:25
  came
• 25:26
  out
• 25:26
  to
• 25:26
  do
• 25:26
  the
• 25:26
  water
• 25:26
  restoration
• 25:27
  part
• 25:27
  and
• 25:28
  get
• 25:28
  it
• 25:28
  dried
• 25:28
  out.
• 25:29
  And
• 25:29
  they
• 25:29
  took
• 25:29
  out
• 25:30
  all
• 25:30
  the
• 25:30
  stuff
• 25:30
  so
• 25:31
  they
• 25:31
  could
• 25:31
  dry
• 25:31
  it
• 25:31
  out.
• 25:32
  But
• 25:32
  the
• 25:32
  problem
• 25:32
  was,
• 25:33
  is
• 25:33
  that
• 25:33
  they
• 25:33
  had
• 25:33
  a
• 25:33
  $250,000
• 25:35
  policy,
• 25:35
  but
• 25:36
  these
• 25:36
  guys
• 25:36
  build
• 25:36
  them
• 25:37
  for
• 25:37
  $150,000.
• 25:38
  So
• 25:38
  they
• 25:38
  had
• 25:38
  $100,000
• 25:39
  to
• 25:40
  do
• 25:40
  on
• 25:41
  this
• 25:41
  place.
• 25:42
  Really,
• 25:43
  you
• 25:43
  couldn't
• 25:43
  put
• 25:43
  it
• 25:44
  back
• 25:44
  for
• 25:44
  $100,000
• 25:45
  if
• 25:45
  you're
• 25:45
  paying
• 25:45
  someone
• 25:45
  to
• 25:46
  do
• 25:46
  it
• 25:46
  because
• 25:46
  you
• 25:46
  needed
• 25:46
  a
• 25:46
  kitchen,
• 25:47
  you
• 25:47
  needed
• 25:47
  two
• 25:47
  bathrooms.
• 25:48
  It
• 25:49
  was
• 25:49
  all
• 25:49
  wood
• 25:49
  paneling
• 25:50
  on
• 25:50
  the
• 25:50
  inside.
• 25:50
  That
• 25:50
  was
• 25:51
  real
• 25:51
  wood
• 25:51
  that
• 25:51
  you
• 25:51
  had
• 25:51
  to
• 25:52
  go
• 25:52
  in
• 25:52
  and
• 25:52
  try
• 25:52
  to
• 25:53
  source
• 25:53
  with
• 25:54
  that
• 25:54
  real
• 25:54
  wood
• 25:54
  shiplap
• 25:55
  to
• 25:55
  get
• 25:55
  it
• 25:55
  back
• 25:55
  to
• 25:55
  that
• 25:55
  cabin
• 25:56
  state,
• 25:56
  which
• 25:57
  isnt
• 25:57
  as
• 25:57
  easy
• 25:57
  as
• 25:58
  it
• 25:58
  used
• 25:58
  to
• 25:58
  be
• 25:58
  to
• 25:58
  find,
• 25:59
  especially
• 26:00
  at
• 26:00
  a
• 26:00
  reasonable
• 26:00
  price.
• 26:01
  So
• 26:02
  what
• 26:02
  we
• 26:02
  saw
• 26:02
  is
• 26:03
  that
• 26:03
  they
• 26:03
  came
• 26:03
  in
• 26:04
  with
• 26:04
  their
• 26:05
  restoration
• 26:05
  company
• 26:06
  and
• 26:07
  blew
• 26:07
  out
• 26:08
  the
• 26:08
  budget,
• 26:08
  and
• 26:09
  that
• 26:09
  money
• 26:10
  was
• 26:10
  spent.
• 26:11
  So
• 26:11
  I
• 26:11
  want
• 26:12
  you
• 26:12
  to
• 26:12
  start
• 26:12
  asking
• 26:13
  questions
• 26:14
  with
• 26:14
  your
• 26:14
  insurance
• 26:15
  company,
• 26:15
  and
• 26:16
  that
• 26:16
  there
• 26:16
  are
• 26:16
  numbers
• 26:17
  that
• 26:17
  are,
• 26:17
  do
• 26:17
  not
• 26:17
  exceed.
• 26:18
  So
• 26:18
  you
• 26:18
  have
• 26:18
  the
• 26:19
  money
• 26:19
  to
• 26:19
  get
• 26:19
  in
• 26:19
  there,
• 26:20
  because
• 26:20
  I
• 26:20
  think
• 26:20
  some
• 26:21
  of
• 26:21
  these
• 26:21
  water
• 26:21
  restoration
• 26:22
  companies
• 26:23
  really
• 26:23
  prey
• 26:24
  on
• 26:24
  the
• 26:24
  consumer,
• 26:25
  and
• 26:25
  they
• 26:25
  just
• 26:25
  want
• 26:25
  to
• 26:26
  get
• 26:26
  the
• 26:26
  check
• 26:26
  from
• 26:27
  the
• 26:27
  place.
• 26:27
  They
• 26:28
  just
• 26:28
  want
• 26:28
  the
• 26:28
  insurance
• 26:29
  company
• 26:29
  check.
• 26:29
  They're
• 26:30
  going
• 26:30
  to
• 26:30
  come
• 26:30
  in.
• 26:30
  They
• 26:31
  don't
• 26:31
  have
• 26:31
  to
• 26:31
  worry
• 26:31
  about
• 26:31
  putting
• 26:31
  it
• 26:31
  back
• 26:32
  together.
• 26:33
  They're
• 26:33
  just
• 26:33
  going
• 26:33
  to
• 26:33
  go
• 26:33
  in
• 26:33
  there
• 26:34
  and
• 26:34
  build
• 26:34
  a
• 26:34
  snot
• 26:35
  out
• 26:35
  of
• 26:35
  that.
• 26:35
  So
• 26:35
  just
• 26:35
  be
• 26:36
  very
• 26:36
  careful
• 26:37
  that
• 26:37
  you
• 26:37
  know
• 26:38
  who
• 26:38
  you're
• 26:38
  dealing
• 26:38
  with,
• 26:39
  that
• 26:40
  you
• 26:40
  have
• 26:40
  a,
• 26:40
  an
• 26:41
  idea
• 26:41
  of
• 26:41
  what
• 26:41
  the
• 26:42
  dollar
• 26:42
  spend
• 26:42
  is
• 26:43
  and
• 26:44
  that
• 26:44
  you
• 26:44
  keep
• 26:44
  track
• 26:44
  of
• 26:45
  that
• 26:45
  because
• 26:46
  you
• 26:46
  dont
• 26:47
  want
• 26:47
  to
• 26:47
  and
• 26:47
  have
• 26:48
  this
• 26:48
  conversation
• 26:48
  with
• 26:48
  your
• 26:49
  agent,
• 26:49
  what
• 26:50
  happens
• 26:50
  if
• 26:50
  that
• 26:50
  happens?
• 26:51
  Are
• 26:51
  they
• 26:51
  going
• 26:51
  to
• 26:51
  cover
• 26:51
  that
• 26:51
  extra
• 26:52
  loss
• 26:52
  because
• 26:53
  you
• 26:53
  dont
• 26:53
  want
• 26:53
  to
• 26:53
  be
• 26:53
  stuck
• 26:53
  with,
• 26:54
  wow,
• 26:54
  I
• 26:54
  cant
• 26:54
  even
• 26:54
  put
• 26:54
  drywall
• 26:55
  in
• 26:55
  my
• 26:55
  place
• 26:55
  because
• 26:56
  the
• 26:56
  water
• 26:56
  restoration
• 26:57
  company
• 26:58
  overbilled
• 26:58
  me.
• 26:59
  So
• 26:59
  be
• 26:59
  very
• 27:00
  careful.
• 27:00
  I
• 27:01
  put
• 27:01
  these
• 27:01
  water
• 27:01
  restoration
• 27:02
  companies,
• 27:02
  there
• 27:03
  are
• 27:03
  some
• 27:03
  great
• 27:04
  ones
• 27:04
  out
• 27:04
  there.
• 27:05
  There
• 27:05
  are
• 27:05
  also
• 27:05
  some
• 27:06
  ones
• 27:06
  out
• 27:06
  there
• 27:07
  that
• 27:07
  are
• 27:07
  a
• 27:07
  lot
• 27:07
  like
• 27:08
  the
• 27:08
  duct
• 27:08
  cleaning
• 27:09
  companies
• 27:09
  that
• 27:09
  you
• 27:10
  see
• 27:10
  on
• 27:10
  Facebook,
• 27:11
  a
• 27:11
  lot
• 27:12
  less
• 27:12
  reputable,
• 27:13
  put
• 27:13
  it
• 27:13
  at
• 27:13
  that.
• 27:13
  So
• 27:13
  just
• 27:14
  be
• 27:14
  very
• 27:14
  careful.
• 27:15
  And
• 27:15
  I
• 27:16
  would
• 27:16
  not
• 27:16
  be
• 27:16
  hiring
• 27:17
  anyone
• 27:18
  off
• 27:18
  of
• 27:18
  Facebook,
• 27:19
  marketplace
• 27:19
  and
• 27:20
  nextdoor
• 27:20
  because
• 27:21
  you
• 27:21
  are
• 27:21
  going
• 27:21
  to
• 27:22
  be
• 27:22
  the
• 27:23
  prey.
• 27:24
  You're
• 27:24
  going
• 27:24
  to
• 27:24
  be
• 27:24
  the
• 27:25
  meat
• 27:25
  for
• 27:25
  the
• 27:25
  lion
• 27:26
  pride
• 27:26
  coming
• 27:26
  in
• 27:27
  because
• 27:27
  you
• 27:27
  are
• 27:28
  going
• 27:28
  to
• 27:28
  see
• 27:29
  contractors
• 27:29
  come
• 27:30
  in
• 27:30
  from
• 27:31
  across
• 27:31
  the
• 27:31
  country
• 27:32
  because
• 27:32
  of
• 27:32
  the
• 27:32
  recession
• 27:33
  we're
• 27:33
  in.
• 27:34
  You're
• 27:34
  going
• 27:34
  to
• 27:34
  see
• 27:34
  people
• 27:35
  showing
• 27:35
  up
• 27:35
  and
• 27:35
  so
• 27:35
  be
• 27:36
  very
• 27:36
  careful
• 27:37
  when
• 27:37
  they
• 27:37
  come
• 27:38
  out
• 27:38
  there.
• 27:38
  I
• 27:38
  want
• 27:38
  to
• 27:38
  make
• 27:38
  sure
• 27:39
  that
• 27:39
  they're
• 27:39
  licensed,
• 27:40
  bonded
• 27:40
  and
• 27:40
  insured.
• 27:41
  I
• 27:41
  want
• 27:41
  to
• 27:41
  make
• 27:42
  sure
• 27:42
  that
• 27:42
  they're
• 27:42
  licensed
• 27:43
  for
• 27:43
  your
• 27:43
  state.
• 27:44
  Now,
• 27:44
  if
• 27:44
  they're
• 27:44
  not,
• 27:45
  maybe
• 27:46
  your
• 27:46
  governor
• 27:47
  and
• 27:47
  legislature
• 27:48
  or
• 27:48
  however
• 27:49
  everything
• 27:49
  is
• 27:49
  run
• 27:49
  in
• 27:49
  your
• 27:50
  area,
• 27:50
  maybe
• 27:51
  they
• 27:51
  have
• 27:51
  sat
• 27:51
  there
• 27:52
  and
• 27:52
  said,
• 27:52
  hey,
• 27:52
  we
• 27:52
  are
• 27:53
  going
• 27:53
  to
• 27:53
  let
• 27:53
  other
• 27:53
  people
• 27:54
  come
• 27:54
  in
• 27:54
  because
• 27:54
  we
• 27:54
  don't
• 27:54
  have
• 27:55
  the
• 27:55
  help.
• 27:55
  That's
• 27:56
  awesome.
• 27:56
  Just
• 27:57
  make
• 27:57
  sure
• 27:57
  you're
• 27:57
  covered
• 27:58
  and
• 27:58
  that
• 27:58
  they're
• 27:58
  doing
• 27:59
  all
• 27:59
  the
• 27:59
  stuff
• 27:59
  they
• 28:00
  need
• 28:00
  to
• 28:00
  do.
• 28:01
  Are
• 28:01
  they
• 28:01
  pulling
• 28:01
  the
• 28:02
  right
• 28:02
  permits?
• 28:02
  What
• 28:03
  are
• 28:03
  they
• 28:03
  doing
• 28:03
  to
• 28:03
  make
• 28:04
  sure
• 28:04
  this
• 28:05
  project
• 28:05
  is
• 28:05
  getting
• 28:06
  done
• 28:06
  correctly
• 28:07
  and
• 28:07
  you're
• 28:07
  going
• 28:08
  to
• 28:08
  be
• 28:08
  made
• 28:08
  whole
• 28:09
  at
• 28:09
  the
• 28:09
  end
• 28:09
  of
• 28:09
  it
• 28:10
  because
• 28:10
  that's
• 28:10
  really
• 28:11
  what
• 28:11
  you
• 28:11
  pay
• 28:11
  for
• 28:12
  insurance
• 28:12
  for,
• 28:12
  is
• 28:12
  to
• 28:13
  get
• 28:14
  you
• 28:14
  back
• 28:14
  to
• 28:14
  where
• 28:14
  you
• 28:15
  were
• 28:15
  before
• 28:16
  the
• 28:16
  disaster
• 28:17
  happened.
• 28:17
  So
• 28:18
  make
• 28:18
  sure
• 28:18
  that
• 28:18
  you're
• 28:19
  navigating
• 28:19
  this.
• 28:20
  Ask
• 28:20
  the
• 28:20
  questions.
• 28:21
  And
• 28:21
  if
• 28:21
  you
• 28:21
  have
• 28:21
  a
• 28:21
  contractor
• 28:22
  that
• 28:22
  you
• 28:23
  trust
• 28:23
  in
• 28:24
  most
• 28:24
  states,
• 28:24
  you
• 28:25
  have
• 28:25
  that
• 28:25
  option.
• 28:25
  You
• 28:26
  can
• 28:26
  hire
• 28:26
  them
• 28:27
  and
• 28:27
  they
• 28:27
  can
• 28:27
  work
• 28:27
  with
• 28:28
  the
• 28:28
  insurance
• 28:28
  company.
• 28:29
  But
• 28:29
  just
• 28:29
  keep
• 28:29
  in
• 28:30
  mind
• 28:30
  that
• 28:30
  a
• 28:30
  lot
• 28:30
  of
• 28:31
  contractors
• 28:31
  don't
• 28:32
  work
• 28:32
  with
• 28:32
  insurance
• 28:33
  companies
• 28:33
  because
• 28:34
  it's
• 28:34
  inherently
• 28:35
  expensive
• 28:36
  for
• 28:36
  them
• 28:36
  to
• 28:36
  do
• 28:36
  it
• 28:37
  because
• 28:37
  they've
• 28:37
  got
• 28:37
  all
• 28:38
  these
• 28:38
  hoops,
• 28:38
  they
• 28:38
  get
• 28:38
  paid
• 28:39
  late.
• 28:40
  Then
• 28:40
  you
• 28:40
  have
• 28:40
  these
• 28:40
  companies
• 28:41
  out
• 28:41
  there
• 28:41
  that
• 28:42
  all
• 28:42
  they
• 28:42
  do
• 28:42
  is
• 28:42
  insurance
• 28:43
  work
• 28:43
  and
• 28:43
  that's
• 28:43
  their
• 28:43
  specialty.
• 28:44
  And
• 28:44
  so
• 28:45
  they
• 28:45
  have
• 28:45
  a
• 28:46
  business
• 28:46
  plan
• 28:46
  that
• 28:46
  works
• 28:47
  better
• 28:47
  for
• 28:47
  that.
• 28:48
  And
• 28:48
  so
• 28:48
  just
• 28:49
  be
• 28:49
  very
• 28:49
  careful
• 28:49
  with
• 28:50
  who
• 28:50
  you
• 28:50
  hire,
• 28:50
  who
• 28:51
  they
• 28:51
  bring
• 28:51
  in
• 28:52
  and
• 28:52
  understand
• 28:52
  what's
• 28:53
  going
• 28:53
  on
• 28:53
  because
• 28:54
  it's,
• 28:54
  in
• 28:54
  the
• 28:54
  end,
• 28:55
  it's
• 28:55
  your
• 28:55
  house.
• 28:56
  In
• 28:56
  the
• 28:56
  end
• 28:57
  theyre
• 28:57
  paying
• 28:57
  for
• 28:57
  it.
• 28:58
  But
• 28:58
  you
• 28:59
  need
• 28:59
  to
• 28:59
  make
• 28:59
  sure
• 28:59
  that
• 29:00
  someones
• 29:00
  looking
• 29:00
  over
• 29:01
  the
• 29:01
  shoulder
• 29:01
  and
• 29:02
  getting
• 29:02
  that
• 29:02
  dialed
• 29:02
  in
• 29:03
  for
• 29:03
  you.
• 29:03
  Now,
• 29:04
  the
• 29:04
  other
• 29:04
  thing
• 29:04
  is,
• 29:04
  is
• 29:05
  there
• 29:05
  are
• 29:05
  public
• 29:06
  adjusters
• 29:07
  out
• 29:07
  there.
• 29:08
  And
• 29:08
  what
• 29:08
  their
• 29:08
  job
• 29:09
  is
• 29:09
  is
• 29:09
  that
• 29:10
  you
• 29:10
  hire
• 29:10
  them
• 29:11
  to
• 29:11
  come
• 29:12
  deal
• 29:12
  with
• 29:12
  your
• 29:13
  insurance
• 29:13
  company.
• 29:14
  And
• 29:14
  thats
• 29:14
  a
• 29:14
  really
• 29:15
  big
• 29:15
  one
• 29:16
  to
• 29:16
  think
• 29:17
  about.
• 29:17
  Because
• 29:18
  what
• 29:18
  happens
• 29:19
  is
• 29:19
  when
• 29:19
  you
• 29:19
  have
• 29:20
  that
• 29:20
  public
• 29:20
  adjuster,
• 29:21
  they
• 29:22
  are
• 29:22
  you,
• 29:22
  they
• 29:23
  are
• 29:23
  working
• 29:23
  for
• 29:23
  use,
• 29:24
  you're
• 29:24
  paying
• 29:24
  for
• 29:24
  them.
• 29:25
  And
• 29:25
  so
• 29:26
  they're
• 29:26
  taking
• 29:26
  their
• 29:27
  decades
• 29:27
  of
• 29:27
  experience.
• 29:28
  They're
• 29:29
  working
• 29:29
  with
• 29:29
  the
• 29:29
  people
• 29:30
  they
• 29:30
  know
• 29:30
  at
• 29:30
  the
• 29:30
  insurance
• 29:31
  company,
• 29:32
  and
• 29:32
  they're
• 29:32
  turning
• 29:32
  around
• 29:33
  saying,
• 29:33
  no,
• 29:33
  no,
• 29:33
  no,
• 29:34
  you
• 29:34
  can't
• 29:34
  do
• 29:35
  that.
• 29:35
  That's
• 29:36
  not
• 29:36
  legit
• 29:37
  or
• 29:37
  that's
• 29:37
  not
• 29:37
  in
• 29:37
  the
• 29:38
  best
• 29:38
  interest
• 29:39
  of
• 29:39
  the
• 29:39
  home
• 29:40
  and
• 29:40
  the
• 29:40
  homeowners.
• 29:41
  And
• 29:41
  they
• 29:41
  are
• 29:42
  like
• 29:42
  your,
• 29:43
  I
• 29:43
  don't
• 29:43
  say
• 29:43
  attorney,
• 29:44
  but
• 29:44
  they're,
• 29:44
  you're
• 29:44
  basically
• 29:45
  your
• 29:45
  adjuster
• 29:46
  because
• 29:47
  they're
• 29:47
  there
• 29:47
  to
• 29:47
  defend
• 29:48
  you.
• 29:48
  Now,
• 29:49
  your
• 29:49
  insurance
• 29:50
  agent,
• 29:51
  your
• 29:51
  adjuster,
• 29:52
  they
• 29:53
  are
• 29:53
  not
• 29:53
  your
• 29:53
  friends.
• 29:54
  This
• 29:54
  is
• 29:55
  a
• 29:55
  business
• 29:56
  transaction.
• 29:57
  And
• 29:57
  their
• 29:57
  job
• 29:58
  is
• 29:58
  to,
• 29:58
  one,
• 29:58
  make
• 29:59
  you
• 29:59
  whole,
• 29:59
  to
• 30:00
  do
• 30:00
  it
• 30:00
  at
• 30:00
  the
• 30:01
  least
• 30:01
  cost.
• 30:02
  They
• 30:02
  can
• 30:02
  get
• 30:02
  away
• 30:02
  with
• 30:02
  it.
• 30:03
  And
• 30:03
  that's
• 30:04
  just
• 30:04
  unfortunately
• 30:05
  how
• 30:05
  that
• 30:05
  works.
• 30:06
  And
• 30:07
  they're
• 30:07
  a
• 30:07
  company,
• 30:07
  they're
• 30:08
  a
• 30:08
  for
• 30:08
  profit
• 30:09
  organization.
• 30:09
  So
• 30:09
  they
• 30:10
  need
• 30:10
  to
• 30:10
  do
• 30:10
  that.
• 30:11
  So
• 30:11
  really
• 30:11
  think
• 30:12
  about
• 30:12
  that.
• 30:13
  They
• 30:13
  might
• 30:14
  not
• 30:14
  be
• 30:14
  in
• 30:14
  your
• 30:14
  best
• 30:15
  interest
• 30:15
  on
• 30:16
  getting
• 30:16
  this
• 30:16
  job
• 30:16
  done
• 30:17
  completely
• 30:17
  and
• 30:17
  correctly.
• 30:18
  So
• 30:18
  you
• 30:19
  need
• 30:19
  to
• 30:19
  have
• 30:19
  somebody,
• 30:20
  if
• 30:20
  it's
• 30:20
  a
• 30:20
  big,
• 30:21
  damaged
• 30:22
  house,
• 30:23
  I
• 30:23
  would
• 30:23
  sure
• 30:23
  look
• 30:23
  at
• 30:24
  having
• 30:24
  a
• 30:24
  public
• 30:24
  adjuster
• 30:25
  come
• 30:25
  in
• 30:25
  and
• 30:26
  help
• 30:26
  defend
• 30:26
  you
• 30:26
  and
• 30:27
  to
• 30:27
  make
• 30:27
  sure
• 30:27
  that
• 30:27
  things
• 30:27
  get
• 30:28
  done
• 30:28
  correctly
• 30:29
  and
• 30:29
  that
• 30:30
  money
• 30:30
  spent
• 30:30
  will
• 30:31
  probably
• 30:31
  be
• 30:31
  some
• 30:31
  of
• 30:32
  the
• 30:32
  best
• 30:32
  stuff
• 30:32
  because
• 30:33
  that
• 30:33
  way
• 30:34
  you're
• 30:34
  covered
• 30:34
  and
• 30:35
  you've
• 30:35
  got
• 30:35
  a
• 30:35
  much
• 30:36
  better
• 30:36
  situation
• 30:37
  because
• 30:37
  I
• 30:37
  tell
• 30:37
  you
• 30:37
  what,
• 30:38
  I
• 30:38
  have
• 30:38
  seen
• 30:39
  people
• 30:39
  go
• 30:39
  through
• 30:39
  this.
• 30:40
  They
• 30:40
  are
• 30:41
  super
• 30:41
  stressed.
• 30:42
  They're
• 30:42
  upset.
• 30:43
  You've
• 30:44
  lost
• 30:44
  a
• 30:44
  lot
• 30:44
  of
• 30:45
  things.
• 30:45
  Your
• 30:46
  world
• 30:46
  is
• 30:46
  upside
• 30:47
  down,
• 30:47
  and
• 30:47
  that's
• 30:47
  okay.
• 30:48
  To
• 30:48
  have
• 30:49
  somebody
• 30:49
  else
• 30:50
  on
• 30:50
  the
• 30:50
  team
• 30:50
  with
• 30:50
  you
• 30:50
  battling
• 30:51
  might
• 30:52
  be
• 30:52
  a
• 30:52
  great
• 30:52
  thing
• 30:53
  for
• 30:53
  you.
• 30:53
  Let's
• 30:54
  talk
• 30:54
  a
• 30:54
  little
• 30:54
  bit
• 30:54
  about
• 30:55
  some
• 30:55
  stuff
• 30:55
  here
• 30:55
  that
• 30:55
  we
• 30:56
  can
• 30:56
  do
• 30:56
  to
• 30:56
  make
• 30:56
  sure
• 30:57
  that
• 30:57
  we've
• 30:57
  got
• 30:58
  things
• 30:58
  prevented
• 30:59
  and
• 30:59
  working
• 30:59
  better
• 31:00
  for
• 31:00
  you.
• 31:00
  We'll
• 31:00
  do
• 31:01
  that
• 31:01
  just
• 31:01
  as
• 31:01
  soon
• 31:01
  as
• 31:01
  around
• 31:01
  the
• 31:02
  house
• 31:02
  returns.
• 32:42
  Welcome
• 32:43
  back
• 32:43
  to
• 32:43
  the
• 32:43
  around
• 32:43
  the
• 32:43
  house
• 32:43
  show,
• 32:44
  the
• 32:44
  next
• 32:44
  generation
• 32:45
  of
• 32:45
  home
• 32:45
  improvement.
• 32:45
  Thanks
• 32:46
  for
• 32:46
  joining
• 32:46
  me
• 32:46
  today.
• 32:47
  We've
• 32:47
  been
• 32:47
  talking
• 32:48
  about
• 32:48
  what
• 32:48
  to
• 32:48
  do
• 32:48
  to
• 32:48
  do
• 32:49
  with
• 32:49
  storm
• 32:50
  damage
• 32:50
  like
• 32:51
  floods.
• 32:51
  The
• 32:51
  last
• 32:51
  three
• 32:52
  segments
• 32:52
  we've
• 32:52
  been
• 32:52
  talking
• 32:52
  about
• 32:53
  what
• 32:53
  happens
• 32:53
  if
• 32:53
  your
• 32:53
  basement
• 32:54
  or
• 32:54
  your
• 32:54
  house
• 32:55
  got
• 32:55
  flooded.
• 32:55
  How
• 32:55
  do
• 32:55
  you
• 32:56
  work
• 32:56
  with
• 32:56
  that?
• 32:56
  How
• 32:57
  do
• 32:57
  you
• 32:57
  get
• 32:57
  yourself
• 32:57
  back
• 32:58
  to
• 32:58
  normal
• 32:58
  and
• 32:59
  how
• 32:59
  do
• 32:59
  you
• 32:59
  get
• 32:59
  prepared
• 33:00
  for
• 33:00
  that?
• 33:00
  And
• 33:00
  this
• 33:00
  one
• 33:00
  here,
• 33:01
  I
• 33:01
  wanted
• 33:01
  to
• 33:01
  take
• 33:01
  it
• 33:01
  outside
• 33:02
  for
• 33:02
  a
• 33:02
  minute
• 33:03
  and
• 33:03
  talk
• 33:03
  about
• 33:04
  in
• 33:04
  this
• 33:04
  segment
• 33:04
  what
• 33:05
  to
• 33:05
  do
• 33:05
  on
• 33:05
  the
• 33:05
  exterior
• 33:06
  of
• 33:06
  the
• 33:06
  building.
• 33:07
  Maybe
• 33:08
  you've
• 33:08
  had
• 33:08
  a
• 33:08
  roof
• 33:09
  blown
• 33:09
  off.
• 33:10
  Maybe
• 33:10
  you've
• 33:10
  had
• 33:11
  siding
• 33:11
  taken
• 33:11
  off.
• 33:12
  Maybe
• 33:12
  you've
• 33:12
  had
• 33:12
  something.
• 33:13
  Maybe
• 33:13
  it
• 33:14
  was
• 33:14
  your
• 33:14
  neighbor's
• 33:15
  trampoline
• 33:15
  that
• 33:16
  blasted
• 33:16
  the
• 33:16
  side
• 33:16
  of
• 33:16
  your
• 33:17
  house
• 33:17
  when
• 33:17
  it
• 33:17
  took
• 33:17
  off
• 33:17
  out
• 33:18
  of
• 33:18
  there
• 33:18
  and
• 33:18
  hit
• 33:18
  the
• 33:18
  side
• 33:19
  of
• 33:19
  yours.
• 33:19
  Or
• 33:20
  maybe
• 33:20
  it's
• 33:20
  even
• 33:20
  a
• 33:21
  tacoed
• 33:21
  front
• 33:22
  garage
• 33:22
  door
• 33:23
  because
• 33:23
  the
• 33:23
  winds
• 33:23
  blew
• 33:24
  it
• 33:24
  in,
• 33:24
  whatever
• 33:24
  it
• 33:25
  is.
• 33:25
  Thought
• 33:26
  we'd
• 33:26
  talk
• 33:26
  about
• 33:26
  that
• 33:26
  a
• 33:26
  little
• 33:27
  bit
• 33:27
  here
• 33:27
  today.
• 33:28
  Now,
• 33:28
  one
• 33:28
  of
• 33:29
  the
• 33:29
  things
• 33:29
  that
• 33:29
  I
• 33:29
  would
• 33:29
  sure
• 33:30
  take
• 33:30
  a
• 33:30
  look
• 33:30
  at,
• 33:31
  especially
• 33:31
  like
• 33:31
  I
• 33:31
  just
• 33:31
  talked
• 33:32
  about
• 33:32
  with
• 33:32
  a
• 33:32
  garage
• 33:33
  door.
• 33:33
  Garage
• 33:34
  doors
• 33:34
  take
• 33:34
  a
• 33:35
  lot
• 33:35
  of
• 33:35
  load,
• 33:36
  and
• 33:36
  they
• 33:36
  do
• 33:37
  make
• 33:37
  garage
• 33:37
  doors
• 33:38
  now
• 33:39
  that
• 33:39
  are
• 33:39
  hurricane
• 33:40
  resistant.
• 33:40
  They've
• 33:41
  got
• 33:41
  steel
• 33:42
  or
• 33:42
  aluminum
• 33:43
  bracing
• 33:43
  down
• 33:43
  the
• 33:43
  backside
• 33:45
  so
• 33:45
  they
• 33:45
  can
• 33:46
  take
• 33:46
  100
• 33:46
  miles
• 33:47
  an
• 33:47
  hour
• 33:47
  winds.
• 33:48
  So
• 33:48
  that
• 33:48
  would
• 33:48
  be
• 33:49
  something
• 33:49
  that
• 33:49
  I
• 33:49
  would
• 33:49
  sure
• 33:50
  take
• 33:50
  a
• 33:50
  look
• 33:50
  at.
• 33:50
  If
• 33:51
  you've
• 33:51
  got
• 33:51
  a
• 33:51
  damaged
• 33:51
  garage
• 33:52
  door
• 33:52
  like
• 33:52
  that,
• 33:53
  take
• 33:53
  a
• 33:53
  look.
• 33:54
  Florida,
• 33:54
  Dade
• 33:54
  county,
• 33:55
  those
• 33:55
  guys
• 33:55
  have
• 33:55
  come
• 33:56
  up
• 33:56
  with
• 33:56
  their
• 33:56
  own
• 33:56
  certifications.
• 33:57
  Florida
• 33:58
  has
• 33:58
  a
• 33:58
  lot
• 33:58
  of,
• 33:58
  a
• 33:59
  lot
• 33:59
  of
• 33:59
  the
• 33:59
  Gulf
• 33:59
  states
• 33:59
  have
• 34:00
  certifications
• 34:01
  on
• 34:01
  those
• 34:01
  things.
• 34:01
  You
• 34:02
  can
• 34:02
  take
• 34:02
  a
• 34:02
  look.
• 34:03
  I
• 34:03
  would
• 34:03
  sure
• 34:03
  take
• 34:04
  a
• 34:04
  look
• 34:04
  at
• 34:04
  garage
• 34:04
  doors
• 34:05
  that
• 34:05
  are
• 34:05
  rated
• 34:05
  for
• 34:06
  high
• 34:06
  wind
• 34:06
  loads,
• 34:07
  because
• 34:07
  if
• 34:07
  it's
• 34:07
  happened
• 34:07
  once,
• 34:08
  odds
• 34:08
  are
• 34:09
  it'll
• 34:09
  happen
• 34:09
  again.
• 34:10
  And
• 34:10
  if
• 34:10
  you
• 34:10
  can
• 34:11
  keep
• 34:11
  that
• 34:11
  air
• 34:12
  from
• 34:12
  a
• 34:12
  hurricane
• 34:12
  or
• 34:13
  a
• 34:13
  windstorm
• 34:13
  from
• 34:13
  coming
• 34:14
  in
• 34:14
  through
• 34:14
  that
• 34:14
  garage
• 34:14
  door,
• 34:15
  having
• 34:15
  something
• 34:16
  that's
• 34:16
  going
• 34:16
  to
• 34:16
  be
• 34:16
  a
• 34:16
  little
• 34:17
  bit
• 34:17
  tougher
• 34:18
  is
• 34:18
  going
• 34:18
  to
• 34:18
  be
• 34:18
  very
• 34:19
  good
• 34:20
  for
• 34:20
  you.
• 34:20
  So
• 34:21
  take
• 34:21
  a
• 34:21
  look.
• 34:22
  There's
• 34:22
  so
• 34:22
  many
• 34:22
  great
• 34:23
  brands
• 34:23
  out
• 34:23
  there.
• 34:24
  Copay
• 34:24
  is
• 34:24
  a
• 34:24
  great
• 34:25
  company.
• 34:25
  I've
• 34:26
  worked
• 34:26
  with
• 34:26
  them
• 34:26
  a
• 34:26
  lot.
• 34:27
  There's
• 34:27
  a
• 34:27
  lot
• 34:27
  of
• 34:27
  different
• 34:27
  companies
• 34:28
  out
• 34:28
  there.
• 34:28
  But
• 34:28
  take
• 34:28
  a
• 34:29
  look
• 34:29
  at
• 34:30
  those
• 34:30
  doors
• 34:31
  that
• 34:31
  are
• 34:31
  rated
• 34:31
  for
• 34:32
  that.
• 34:32
  And
• 34:32
  the
• 34:32
  same
• 34:32
  thing
• 34:32
  comes
• 34:33
  with
• 34:33
  windows.
• 34:33
  If
• 34:33
  you've
• 34:34
  had
• 34:34
  windows
• 34:35
  on
• 34:35
  a
• 34:35
  side
• 34:35
  that
• 34:35
  typically
• 34:36
  come
• 34:36
  from
• 34:37
  wind
• 34:37
  that's
• 34:38
  coming
• 34:38
  up
• 34:38
  from
• 34:38
  the
• 34:38
  gulf
• 34:39
  or
• 34:39
  coming
• 34:39
  up
• 34:39
  from
• 34:40
  where
• 34:40
  hurricanes
• 34:40
  are
• 34:41
  coming
• 34:41
  from,
• 34:42
  you
• 34:42
  might
• 34:42
  take
• 34:42
  a
• 34:42
  look
• 34:43
  on
• 34:43
  those
• 34:43
  windows
• 34:44
  and
• 34:44
  put
• 34:44
  in
• 34:44
  some
• 34:45
  storm
• 34:45
  resistant
• 34:45
  ones
• 34:46
  that
• 34:46
  will
• 34:46
  take
• 34:47
  debris
• 34:47
  bouncing
• 34:48
  off
• 34:48
  them.
• 34:48
  There
• 34:48
  are
• 34:48
  great
• 34:49
  windows
• 34:49
  out
• 34:49
  there
• 34:49
  that
• 34:50
  are
• 34:50
  basically
• 34:50
  brake
• 34:51
  proofed.
• 34:51
  If
• 34:52
  you
• 34:52
  take
• 34:52
  a
• 34:52
  look,
• 34:52
  they
• 34:53
  actually
• 34:53
  launch
• 34:53
  two
• 34:54
  by
• 34:54
  forge
• 34:54
  at
• 34:54
  them
• 34:54
  at
• 34:54
  100
• 34:55
  miles
• 34:55
  an
• 34:55
  hour
• 34:55
  to
• 34:55
  see
• 34:55
  if
• 34:56
  they'll
• 34:56
  take
• 34:56
  it.
• 34:57
  So
• 34:57
  that's
• 34:57
  an
• 34:57
  interesting
• 34:58
  one.
• 34:58
  I
• 34:58
  would
• 34:58
  sure
• 34:58
  take
• 34:59
  a
• 34:59
  look
• 34:59
  at
• 34:59
  that.
• 34:59
  Now,
• 35:00
  if
• 35:00
  you're
• 35:00
  having
• 35:00
  to
• 35:00
  do
• 35:01
  roof
• 35:01
  repairs
• 35:01
  or
• 35:01
  put
• 35:01
  a
• 35:02
  new
• 35:02
  roof
• 35:02
  on,
• 35:03
  here
• 35:03
  is
• 35:03
  one
• 35:03
  thing
• 35:04
  that
• 35:04
  I
• 35:04
  would
• 35:04
  take
• 35:04
  a
• 35:04
  look
• 35:04
  at
• 35:05
  doing,
• 35:05
  and
• 35:06
  I
• 35:07
  would
• 35:07
  look
• 35:07
  at
• 35:07
  the
• 35:07
  fortified
• 35:08
  home
• 35:08
  program
• 35:09
  that
• 35:09
  we
• 35:09
  have
• 35:09
  out
• 35:09
  there
• 35:10
  now.
• 35:11
  Fortified
• 35:11
  home
• 35:11
  is
• 35:11
  an
• 35:12
  interesting
• 35:12
  concept,
• 35:13
  and
• 35:13
  what
• 35:13
  they
• 35:13
  have
• 35:14
  done
• 35:14
  is
• 35:14
  they
• 35:14
  have
• 35:15
  created
• 35:15
  a
• 35:16
  rating
• 35:17
  that
• 35:17
  might
• 35:17
  help
• 35:17
  you
• 35:17
  in
• 35:18
  insurance
• 35:18
  later
• 35:19
  to
• 35:19
  lower
• 35:19
  those
• 35:20
  rates.
• 35:20
  But
• 35:21
  basically
• 35:21
  what
• 35:21
  they
• 35:22
  do
• 35:22
  is
• 35:22
  you
• 35:22
  go
• 35:22
  up
• 35:22
  on
• 35:23
  that
• 35:23
  roof,
• 35:23
  youre
• 35:24
  going
• 35:24
  to
• 35:24
  resheve
• 35:24
  it.
• 35:25
  You
• 35:26
  have
• 35:26
  to
• 35:26
  nail
• 35:26
  it
• 35:26
  down
• 35:27
  per
• 35:27
  their
• 35:27
  specifications.
• 35:28
  You've
• 35:29
  got
• 35:29
  to
• 35:29
  have
• 35:29
  a
• 35:29
  waterproof
• 35:30
  correctly.
• 35:30
  What
• 35:30
  I
• 35:31
  would
• 35:31
  do
• 35:31
  on
• 35:31
  something
• 35:31
  like
• 35:32
  that
• 35:32
  is
• 35:32
  if
• 35:32
  I
• 35:32
  was
• 35:32
  up
• 35:33
  there
• 35:33
  doing
• 35:33
  that
• 35:34
  roof,
• 35:34
  I
• 35:34
  would
• 35:34
  put
• 35:34
  down
• 35:35
  something
• 35:35
  like
• 35:35
  zip
• 35:36
  system
• 35:36
  by
• 35:37
  Hubert
• 35:37
  engineered
• 35:37
  where
• 35:38
  Hubert
• 35:39
  engineered
• 35:39
  woods.
• 35:40
  I
• 35:40
  can
• 35:40
  say
• 35:40
  that
• 35:41
  and
• 35:41
  go
• 35:41
  in
• 35:42
  and
• 35:42
  go
• 35:42
  that
• 35:42
  route
• 35:43
  with
• 35:43
  it
• 35:43
  because
• 35:44
  that
• 35:44
  way
• 35:44
  what
• 35:44
  happens
• 35:45
  is
• 35:45
  if
• 35:45
  you
• 35:45
  go
• 35:45
  up
• 35:45
  there,
• 35:46
  resheath
• 35:47
  that
• 35:47
  with
• 35:47
  that
• 35:48
  waterproof
• 35:48
  material,
• 35:49
  I
• 35:50
  mean,
• 35:50
  I'm
• 35:50
  not
• 35:50
  going
• 35:50
  to
• 35:50
  build
• 35:50
  a
• 35:50
  boat
• 35:50
  out
• 35:51
  of
• 35:51
  it.
• 35:51
  But
• 35:51
  what
• 35:51
  it's
• 35:51
  going
• 35:52
  to
• 35:52
  do
• 35:52
  is
• 35:52
  it
• 35:52
  leaves
• 35:52
  you
• 35:53
  a
• 35:53
  membrane
• 35:53
  beneath
• 35:54
  it
• 35:54
  thats
• 35:54
  built
• 35:55
  into
• 35:55
  the
• 35:55
  surface.
• 35:56
  Then
• 35:56
  if
• 35:56
  you
• 35:57
  have
• 35:57
  shingles
• 35:57
  blow
• 35:58
  off,
• 35:58
  you
• 35:58
  still
• 35:58
  have
• 35:59
  a
• 35:59
  waterproof
• 35:59
  surface
• 36:00
  up
• 36:00
  there.
• 36:00
  So
• 36:00
  what
• 36:01
  happens
• 36:01
  is,
• 36:01
  as
• 36:01
  you
• 36:02
  put
• 36:02
  this
• 36:02
  down,
• 36:02
  youll
• 36:03
  tape
• 36:03
  the
• 36:03
  seams,
• 36:04
  roll
• 36:04
  them
• 36:04
  out
• 36:04
  correctly
• 36:05
  so
• 36:05
  that
• 36:05
  theyre
• 36:05
  sealed
• 36:06
  up.
• 36:06
  And
• 36:07
  then
• 36:07
  what
• 36:07
  happens
• 36:07
  is
• 36:07
  if
• 36:08
  you
• 36:08
  need
• 36:08
  to
• 36:08
  go
• 36:08
  up
• 36:08
  there
• 36:09
  and
• 36:09
  lets
• 36:09
  say
• 36:10
  you
• 36:10
  lose
• 36:10
  shingles
• 36:10
  in
• 36:11
  a
• 36:11
  big
• 36:11
  storm,
• 36:12
  its
• 36:12
  still
• 36:12
  waterproofed
• 36:13
  beneath
• 36:13
  its
• 36:13
  you
• 36:14
  dont
• 36:14
  have
• 36:14
  that
• 36:14
  water
• 36:15
  damage.
• 36:15
  And
• 36:16
  if
• 36:16
  you
• 36:16
  nail
• 36:16
  it
• 36:16
  off
• 36:16
  correctly,
• 36:17
  thats
• 36:17
  not
• 36:17
  going
• 36:18
  to
• 36:18
  leave
• 36:18
  the
• 36:18
  trusses
• 36:19
  and
• 36:19
  its
• 36:20
  going
• 36:20
  to
• 36:20
  stay
• 36:20
  there
• 36:20
  pretty
• 36:20
  good.
• 36:21
  So
• 36:21
  take
• 36:21
  a
• 36:21
  look
• 36:21
  at
• 36:22
  fortified
• 36:22
  home.
• 36:23
  That's
• 36:23
  a
• 36:23
  great
• 36:23
  program
• 36:24
  out
• 36:24
  there
• 36:24
  for
• 36:24
  new
• 36:25
  construction
• 36:25
  and
• 36:26
  for
• 36:26
  remodeling
• 36:26
  when
• 36:26
  you're
• 36:26
  doing
• 36:27
  roof
• 36:27
  and
• 36:28
  things
• 36:28
  like
• 36:28
  that.
• 36:28
  And
• 36:28
  I
• 36:28
  would
• 36:29
  do
• 36:29
  the
• 36:29
  same
• 36:29
  thing.
• 36:29
  If
• 36:30
  you're
• 36:30
  looking
• 36:30
  at
• 36:30
  the
• 36:31
  siding
• 36:31
  of
• 36:31
  the
• 36:31
  house,
• 36:31
  you've
• 36:32
  got
• 36:32
  damaged
• 36:32
  siding,
• 36:32
  you've
• 36:33
  got
• 36:33
  to
• 36:33
  tear
• 36:33
  it
• 36:33
  down.
• 36:34
  I
• 36:34
  would
• 36:34
  sure
• 36:34
  take
• 36:35
  a
• 36:35
  look
• 36:35
  if
• 36:35
  it
• 36:35
  already
• 36:35
  got
• 36:36
  hit
• 36:36
  once,
• 36:37
  I
• 36:37
  would
• 36:37
  sure
• 36:37
  take
• 36:37
  a
• 36:38
  look
• 36:38
  at
• 36:38
  going
• 36:38
  in
• 36:38
  there
• 36:39
  and
• 36:39
  doing
• 36:39
  that
• 36:40
  same
• 36:40
  kind
• 36:40
  of
• 36:40
  thing
• 36:40
  with
• 36:41
  either
• 36:41
  a
• 36:41
  zip
• 36:41
  system.
• 36:42
  LP
• 36:42
  has
• 36:43
  one,
• 36:43
  I
• 36:43
  think.
• 36:44
  Actually
• 36:44
  no
• 36:45
  GP
• 36:45
  has
• 36:45
  a
• 36:45
  Georgia
• 36:46
  Pacific
• 36:46
  has
• 36:46
  a
• 36:47
  system
• 36:47
  out
• 36:47
  there
• 36:48
  that
• 36:48
  is
• 36:48
  very
• 36:49
  similar
• 36:49
  to
• 36:49
  Huber
• 36:50
  engineered
• 36:50
  woods
• 36:51
  and
• 36:51
  their
• 36:51
  zip
• 36:51
  system.
• 36:52
  And
• 36:52
  it
• 36:53
  is
• 36:53
  a
• 36:54
  baked
• 36:54
  in,
• 36:54
  it's
• 36:55
  like
• 36:55
  OSB,
• 36:55
  but
• 36:55
  it
• 36:56
  has
• 36:56
  a
• 36:56
  baked
• 36:56
  in
• 36:57
  surface
• 36:58
  on
• 36:58
  it
• 36:58
  that
• 36:59
  is
• 36:59
  waterproof.
• 37:00
  So
• 37:00
  you
• 37:00
  can
• 37:01
  actually
• 37:01
  tape
• 37:01
  that
• 37:01
  up,
• 37:02
  put
• 37:02
  it
• 37:02
  up
• 37:02
  there.
• 37:02
  And
• 37:02
  if
• 37:03
  this,
• 37:03
  your
• 37:03
  vinyl
• 37:04
  siding
• 37:04
  blows
• 37:04
  off
• 37:05
  the
• 37:05
  side
• 37:05
  of
• 37:05
  the
• 37:05
  house,
• 37:05
  you
• 37:05
  still
• 37:05
  have
• 37:06
  something
• 37:06
  waterproof
• 37:06
  there
• 37:07
  that'll
• 37:07
  help
• 37:07
  protect
• 37:08
  the
• 37:08
  structure.
• 37:09
  And
• 37:09
  those
• 37:09
  are
• 37:09
  things
• 37:10
  that
• 37:10
  really
• 37:10
  make
• 37:10
  a
• 37:10
  difference
• 37:11
  when
• 37:11
  you're
• 37:11
  looking
• 37:11
  at
• 37:12
  this
• 37:12
  with
• 37:12
  a
• 37:12
  home,
• 37:13
  is
• 37:13
  that
• 37:13
  you
• 37:13
  can
• 37:13
  really
• 37:14
  get
• 37:14
  things
• 37:14
  dialed
• 37:14
  in.
• 37:15
  And
• 37:15
  thats
• 37:15
  the
• 37:16
  cool
• 37:16
  part
• 37:16
  about
• 37:16
  that,
• 37:17
  is
• 37:17
  that
• 37:17
  youve
• 37:17
  added
• 37:18
  a
• 37:18
  second
• 37:18
  layer
• 37:19
  of
• 37:19
  protection
• 37:19
  from
• 37:20
  the
• 37:20
  outside
• 37:20
  of
• 37:20
  that.
• 37:21
  I
• 37:21
  think
• 37:21
  its
• 37:21
  super
• 37:22
  important.
• 37:23
  Now,
• 37:23
  one
• 37:23
  thing
• 37:24
  I
• 37:24
  would
• 37:24
  do
• 37:24
  too,
• 37:25
  again,
• 37:25
  as
• 37:26
  youre
• 37:26
  working
• 37:26
  around
• 37:26
  the
• 37:26
  outside
• 37:27
  and
• 37:28
  you
• 37:28
  got
• 37:29
  a
• 37:29
  lot
• 37:29
  of
• 37:29
  rain
• 37:30
  as
• 37:30
  youre
• 37:31
  doing
• 37:31
  some
• 37:31
  of
• 37:31
  these
• 37:31
  projects.
• 37:32
  Plan
• 37:32
  ahead
• 37:32
  a
• 37:32
  little
• 37:33
  bit.
• 37:33
  If
• 37:33
  your
• 37:33
  gutters
• 37:34
  drain
• 37:34
  right
• 37:34
  next
• 37:34
  to
• 37:35
  the
• 37:35
  foundation,
• 37:36
  I
• 37:36
  would
• 37:36
  get
• 37:36
  those,
• 37:37
  dig
• 37:37
  it
• 37:37
  up,
• 37:38
  move
• 37:38
  it
• 37:38
  while
• 37:38
  youre
• 37:38
  at
• 37:38
  it,
• 37:39
  get
• 37:39
  this
• 37:39
  dialed
• 37:40
  in
• 37:40
  for
• 37:40
  the
• 37:40
  next
• 37:40
  storm
• 37:41
  that
• 37:41
  comes,
• 37:42
  and
• 37:42
  get
• 37:42
  those
• 37:42
  things
• 37:43
  at
• 37:43
  least
• 37:43
  ten
• 37:43
  or
• 37:43
  15ft
• 37:44
  away
• 37:44
  from
• 37:44
  the
• 37:44
  foundation,
• 37:45
  downhill
• 37:46
  if
• 37:46
  it's
• 37:46
  going
• 37:46
  towards
• 37:47
  the
• 37:47
  road,
• 37:47
  cool.
• 37:48
  Just
• 37:48
  make
• 37:48
  sure
• 37:48
  that
• 37:48
  your,
• 37:49
  your
• 37:49
  road
• 37:49
  department
• 37:50
  will
• 37:50
  let
• 37:50
  you
• 37:50
  do
• 37:50
  that.
• 37:51
  But
• 37:51
  get
• 37:51
  that
• 37:51
  water
• 37:52
  as
• 37:52
  far
• 37:52
  away
• 37:52
  from
• 37:52
  the
• 37:52
  house
• 37:53
  as
• 37:53
  you
• 37:53
  can.
• 37:53
  Now's
• 37:53
  the
• 37:54
  time
• 37:54
  to
• 37:54
  fix
• 37:54
  some
• 37:54
  of
• 37:54
  these
• 37:55
  things.
• 37:55
  And
• 37:55
  if
• 37:56
  you've
• 37:56
  got
• 37:56
  gutters
• 37:56
  that
• 37:56
  are
• 37:57
  broken,
• 37:57
  get
• 37:57
  up
• 37:57
  there
• 37:57
  with
• 37:57
  some
• 37:58
  clips,
• 37:58
  get
• 37:59
  them
• 37:59
  temporarily
• 38:00
  fixed,
• 38:00
  keep
• 38:01
  the
• 38:01
  water
• 38:01
  off
• 38:01
  the
• 38:01
  side
• 38:02
  of
• 38:02
  the
• 38:02
  building
• 38:02
  as
• 38:02
  best
• 38:03
  you
• 38:03
  can,
• 38:04
  and
• 38:04
  you'll
• 38:04
  be
• 38:04
  better
• 38:04
  off.
• 38:05
  Now,
• 38:05
  one
• 38:06
  thing
• 38:06
  is,
• 38:07
  if
• 38:07
  you're
• 38:07
  up
• 38:07
  there
• 38:07
  fixing
• 38:08
  that
• 38:08
  roof,
• 38:09
  another
• 38:09
  thing
• 38:09
  you
• 38:10
  can
• 38:10
  do
• 38:10
  is
• 38:10
  make
• 38:10
  sure
• 38:10
  you
• 38:10
  have
• 38:10
  enough
• 38:11
  ventilation
• 38:11
  up
• 38:12
  there
• 38:12
  and
• 38:13
  there.
• 38:13
  That's
• 38:13
  one
• 38:13
  thing
• 38:14
  that
• 38:14
  I
• 38:14
  think
• 38:14
  that
• 38:14
  we
• 38:14
  have
• 38:15
  failed
• 38:16
  in
• 38:16
  the
• 38:16
  US,
• 38:17
  is
• 38:17
  proper
• 38:17
  roof
• 38:18
  ventilation
• 38:18
  for
• 38:19
  many
• 38:19
  people
• 38:19
  out
• 38:19
  there.
• 38:20
  And
• 38:20
  the
• 38:20
  more
• 38:21
  ventilation
• 38:21
  you
• 38:21
  can
• 38:21
  get
• 38:22
  in
• 38:22
  that
• 38:22
  attic
• 38:22
  space,
• 38:23
  the
• 38:23
  better
• 38:23
  off
• 38:24
  you're
• 38:24
  going
• 38:24
  to
• 38:24
  be
• 38:24
  because
• 38:24
  you're
• 38:24
  going
• 38:24
  to
• 38:25
  have
• 38:25
  reduced
• 38:26
  temperatures
• 38:26
  in
• 38:26
  the
• 38:26
  summertime,
• 38:27
  less
• 38:27
  chance
• 38:28
  of
• 38:28
  mold,
• 38:28
  and
• 38:29
  of
• 38:29
  course,
• 38:29
  you're
• 38:29
  going
• 38:29
  to
• 38:29
  get
• 38:30
  all
• 38:30
  that
• 38:31
  hot
• 38:31
  air
• 38:31
  out
• 38:32
  of
• 38:32
  there
• 38:32
  during
• 38:33
  those
• 38:33
  times.
• 38:33
  And
• 38:33
  so
• 38:34
  the
• 38:34
  more
• 38:34
  you
• 38:34
  can
• 38:35
  do
• 38:35
  up
• 38:35
  there
• 38:36
  by
• 38:36
  putting
• 38:36
  in
• 38:36
  a
• 38:36
  good
• 38:37
  system,
• 38:38
  getting
• 38:38
  some
• 38:38
  good
• 38:39
  ventilation,
• 38:40
  and
• 38:40
  getting
• 38:40
  that
• 38:40
  roof
• 38:40
  repaired
• 38:41
  up
• 38:41
  there
• 38:41
  is
• 38:41
  a
• 38:42
  good
• 38:42
  time.
• 38:42
  So
• 38:42
  if
• 38:42
  you've
• 38:42
  got
• 38:43
  a
• 38:43
  bunch
• 38:43
  of
• 38:43
  roof
• 38:43
  work
• 38:43
  to
• 38:43
  do,
• 38:44
  maybe
• 38:44
  it's
• 38:44
  time
• 38:45
  to
• 38:45
  add
• 38:45
  in
• 38:45
  a
• 38:45
  few
• 38:45
  more
• 38:45
  vents.
• 38:46
  And
• 38:46
  just
• 38:46
  remember,
• 38:47
  when
• 38:47
  you're
• 38:47
  doing
• 38:47
  vents
• 38:48
  up
• 38:48
  there,
• 38:48
  this
• 38:48
  is
• 38:49
  a
• 38:49
  science,
• 38:49
  so
• 38:50
  you
• 38:50
  need
• 38:50
  to
• 38:50
  make
• 38:50
  sure
• 38:50
  that
• 38:50
  the
• 38:51
  air
• 38:51
  intake
• 38:52
  is
• 38:53
  coming
• 38:53
  in
• 38:53
  and
• 38:54
  the
• 38:54
  exhaust
• 38:54
  is
• 38:55
  coming
• 38:55
  out
• 38:55
  the
• 38:55
  top.
• 38:55
  So
• 38:55
  you
• 38:56
  need
• 38:56
  to
• 38:56
  have
• 38:56
  vents
• 38:56
  that
• 38:56
  are
• 38:56
  down
• 38:57
  low
• 38:57
  in
• 38:58
  the
• 38:58
  soffits
• 38:58
  if
• 38:58
  you
• 38:58
  have
• 38:59
  them,
• 38:59
  or
• 39:00
  really
• 39:00
  low
• 39:00
  and
• 39:00
  really
• 39:01
  high,
• 39:01
  so
• 39:01
  you
• 39:01
  can
• 39:02
  get
• 39:02
  as
• 39:02
  best
• 39:03
  to
• 39:03
  airflow
• 39:04
  through
• 39:04
  there.
• 39:04
  You
• 39:04
  need
• 39:05
  incoming
• 39:05
  air
• 39:05
  and
• 39:06
  you
• 39:06
  need
• 39:06
  exhaust
• 39:06
  air
• 39:07
  and
• 39:07
  need
• 39:07
  to
• 39:07
  have
• 39:07
  both
• 39:08
  of
• 39:08
  those,
• 39:08
  and
• 39:09
  that'll
• 39:09
  be
• 39:09
  really,
• 39:10
  really
• 39:10
  smart,
• 39:11
  that's
• 39:12
  going
• 39:12
  to
• 39:12
  help
• 39:12
  you
• 39:12
  out
• 39:13
  in
• 39:13
  the
• 39:13
  long
• 39:13
  term.
• 39:14
  Now,
• 39:14
  again,
• 39:15
  when
• 39:15
  you're
• 39:15
  out
• 39:15
  there
• 39:15
  working
• 39:15
  on
• 39:15
  it,
• 39:16
  make
• 39:16
  sure
• 39:16
  that
• 39:16
  you've
• 39:17
  got
• 39:17
  the
• 39:17
  right
• 39:17
  caulking.
• 39:18
  I
• 39:18
  like
• 39:18
  using
• 39:19
  big
• 39:19
  stretch
• 39:20
  for
• 39:20
  exterior
• 39:20
  stuff
• 39:21
  outside.
• 39:21
  It's
• 39:21
  a
• 39:21
  latex
• 39:22
  caulk,
• 39:22
  and
• 39:23
  I
• 39:23
  like
• 39:23
  how
• 39:23
  that
• 39:24
  stretches.
• 39:24
  And
• 39:24
  so
• 39:25
  if
• 39:25
  you're
• 39:25
  painting
• 39:25
  and
• 39:26
  doing
• 39:26
  some
• 39:26
  of
• 39:26
  that
• 39:26
  stuff,
• 39:27
  that
• 39:27
  is
• 39:27
  a
• 39:27
  great
• 39:28
  product
• 39:28
  outside,
• 39:28
  I
• 39:29
  really
• 39:29
  like
• 39:29
  it.
• 39:30
  There's
• 39:30
  a
• 39:30
  lot
• 39:30
  of
• 39:30
  other
• 39:31
  products
• 39:31
  out
• 39:32
  there,
• 39:32
  but
• 39:32
  to
• 39:32
  me,
• 39:32
  that
• 39:33
  one
• 39:33
  moves
• 39:33
  the
• 39:33
  most.
• 39:33
  So
• 39:34
  expansion
• 39:34
  and
• 39:34
  contraction
• 39:35
  makes
• 39:35
  a
• 39:36
  lot
• 39:36
  of
• 39:36
  sense
• 39:37
  when
• 39:37
  you're
• 39:37
  doing
• 39:37
  it.
• 39:38
  And
• 39:38
  then
• 39:39
  really
• 39:39
  just
• 39:40
  make
• 39:40
  sure
• 39:41
  you
• 39:41
  get
• 39:41
  on
• 39:41
  these
• 39:41
  exterior
• 39:42
  pairs
• 39:42
  as
• 39:43
  soon
• 39:43
  as
• 39:43
  you
• 39:43
  can.
• 39:44
  Like
• 39:44
  we
• 39:44
  talked
• 39:44
  about
• 39:45
  in
• 39:45
  the
• 39:45
  first
• 39:45
  segment
• 39:46
  this
• 39:46
  hour,
• 39:47
  I
• 39:47
  want
• 39:47
  to
• 39:47
  see
• 39:47
  you
• 39:48
  at
• 39:48
  least
• 39:48
  get
• 39:48
  it
• 39:48
  waterproof
• 39:49
  as
• 39:49
  quickly
• 39:50
  as
• 39:50
  possible.
• 39:51
  And
• 39:51
  this
• 39:51
  is
• 39:51
  one
• 39:51
  of
• 39:51
  those
• 39:52
  prepared
• 39:52
  things.
• 39:52
  And
• 39:52
  we
• 39:53
  talked
• 39:53
  about
• 39:53
  a
• 39:53
  little
• 39:53
  bit
• 39:53
  this
• 39:54
  on,
• 39:54
  on
• 39:55
  Wednesday
• 39:55
  in
• 39:55
  our
• 39:55
  midweek
• 39:56
  special
• 39:56
  podcast.
• 39:57
  But
• 39:57
  having
• 39:58
  two
• 39:58
  or
• 39:58
  three,
• 39:59
  like,
• 39:59
  heavy
• 40:00
  duty
• 40:00
  tarps,
• 40:00
  really
• 40:01
  good
• 40:01
  tarps
• 40:02
  that
• 40:02
  you've
• 40:02
  got
• 40:02
  in
• 40:03
  an
• 40:03
  attic
• 40:03
  space
• 40:03
  you
• 40:03
  got
• 40:04
  put
• 40:04
  away
• 40:04
  in
• 40:05
  case
• 40:05
  you
• 40:05
  have
• 40:05
  that
• 40:06
  big
• 40:06
  storm,
• 40:07
  you
• 40:07
  can
• 40:07
  now
• 40:07
  create
• 40:08
  some
• 40:09
  space
• 40:09
  there
• 40:09
  to
• 40:10
  cover
• 40:10
  a
• 40:10
  damaged
• 40:10
  roof,
• 40:11
  recover
• 40:12
  where
• 40:12
  a
• 40:12
  blown
• 40:12
  out
• 40:12
  window
• 40:13
  was,
• 40:13
  have
• 40:13
  a
• 40:13
  piece
• 40:14
  of
• 40:14
  plywood,
• 40:14
  have
• 40:14
  some
• 40:15
  basic
• 40:15
  repairs
• 40:16
  ready
• 40:16
  to
• 40:17
  go.
• 40:17
  And
• 40:17
  that's
• 40:17
  part
• 40:17
  of
• 40:18
  being
• 40:18
  prepared.
• 40:18
  And
• 40:19
  that's
• 40:19
  one
• 40:19
  of
• 40:19
  the
• 40:19
  things
• 40:19
  that
• 40:19
  I
• 40:19
  think
• 40:20
  is
• 40:20
  really
• 40:20
  important.
• 40:21
  And
• 40:21
  take
• 40:21
  a
• 40:22
  look
• 40:22
  at
• 40:23
  the
• 40:23
  mill
• 40:23
  thickness
• 40:24
  of
• 40:25
  the
• 40:25
  tarp.
• 40:26
  The
• 40:26
  heavier
• 40:26
  duty,
• 40:27
  the
• 40:27
  better.
• 40:27
  And
• 40:28
  guys,
• 40:28
  you
• 40:28
  can
• 40:28
  save
• 40:29
  some
• 40:29
  big
• 40:29
  money.
• 40:29
  You
• 40:29
  can
• 40:30
  jump
• 40:30
  on
• 40:30
  Amazon,
• 40:31
  you
• 40:31
  can
• 40:31
  run
• 40:31
  down
• 40:31
  to
• 40:31
  harbor
• 40:32
  freight.
• 40:33
  Those
• 40:33
  guys
• 40:33
  have
• 40:33
  cheap
• 40:34
  tarps.
• 40:35
  And
• 40:35
  really,
• 40:36
  you
• 40:36
  don't
• 40:36
  need
• 40:36
  anything
• 40:37
  special
• 40:37
  here.
• 40:37
  This
• 40:37
  is
• 40:38
  not
• 40:38
  a,
• 40:38
  this
• 40:38
  is
• 40:39
  not
• 40:39
  a
• 40:39
  award
• 40:40
  for
• 40:40
  best
• 40:41
  looking
• 40:41
  house,
• 40:41
  but
• 40:41
  if
• 40:41
  you
• 40:41
  get
• 40:42
  some
• 40:42
  of
• 40:42
  those
• 40:42
  heavy
• 40:42
  duty
• 40:43
  gray
• 40:43
  ones,
• 40:44
  they
• 40:44
  work
• 40:44
  out
• 40:44
  really
• 40:44
  well
• 40:45
  and
• 40:45
  they're
• 40:45
  super
• 40:46
  durable.
• 40:46
  And
• 40:46
  we
• 40:46
  did
• 40:46
  a
• 40:47
  tarp
• 40:47
  test
• 40:48
  that
• 40:48
  you
• 40:48
  can
• 40:48
  find
• 40:49
  on
• 40:49
  my
• 40:49
  YouTube
• 40:50
  channel.
• 40:50
  I'll
• 40:51
  put
• 40:51
  that
• 40:51
  over
• 40:51
  there
• 40:52
  and
• 40:52
  put
• 40:52
  it
• 40:52
  up
• 40:53
  on
• 40:53
  aroundthehouseonline.com
• 40:54
  dot.
• 40:55
  And
• 40:55
  we
• 40:55
  did
• 40:55
  a
• 40:55
  cool
• 40:55
  little
• 40:56
  tarp
• 40:56
  test,
• 40:57
  and
• 40:57
  that
• 40:57
  turned
• 40:57
  out
• 40:58
  really
• 40:58
  well.
• 40:59
  We
• 40:59
  tested
• 40:59
  a
• 40:59
  bunch
• 40:59
  of
• 40:59
  tarps
• 41:00
  and
• 41:00
  we
• 41:00
  talked
• 41:00
  about
• 41:01
  what
• 41:01
  were
• 41:01
  the
• 41:02
  best,
• 41:02
  what
• 41:03
  were

• 41:05
  is
• 41:05
  a
• 41:05

• 41:06
  And
• 41:06
  we
• 41:07
  really
• 41:07
  talked
• 41:07
  about
• 41:07
  that.
• 41:08
  And
• 41:08
  that
• 41:08
  was
• 41:08
  a
• 41:08
  lot
• 41:09
  of
• 41:09
  fun
• 41:09
  going

  doing

• 41:19
  Or

  just
• 41:19

  to
• 41:20
  aroundthehouse

  And,
• 41:22
  uh,
• 41:23
  you
• 41:23
  can
• 41:23
  really
• 41:23
  see
• 41:23
  where
• 41:24
  that,
• 41:24
  what
• 41:24
  we
• 41:24
  did
• 41:24
  is
• 41:24
  I
• 41:25
  built
• 41:25
  a
• 41:25
  frame.
• 41:25
  I
• 41:25
  started
• 41:25
  dropping,
• 41:26
  uh,
• 41:26
  concrete
• 41:27
  blocks
• 41:27
  on
• 41:27
  it
• 41:27
  to
• 41:27
  see
• 41:27
  how
• 41:28
  well
• 41:28
  it
• 41:28
  held
• 41:28
  up
• 41:29
  on
• 41:29
  a
• 41:29
  tear
• 41:30
  test.
• 41:30
  And
• 41:31
  when
• 41:31
  you
• 41:31
  got
• 41:31
  up
• 41:31
  to
• 41:32
  the
• 41:32
  big
• 41:32
  ones,
• 41:32
  it
• 41:32
  was
• 41:32
  just
• 41:33
  the
• 41:33
  eyelets
• 41:33
  that
• 41:33
  were
• 41:33
  failing.
• 41:34
  We
• 41:35
  actually
• 41:35
  didn't
• 41:35
  really
• 41:36
  start
• 41:36
  ripping
• 41:36
  tarps
• 41:37
  as
• 41:37
  we
• 41:37
  got
• 41:38
  to
• 41:38
  the
• 41:38
  heavier
• 41:38
  duty
• 41:38
  ones.
• 41:39
  And
• 41:39
  then
• 41:39
  all
• 41:39
  of
• 41:39
  a
• 41:39
  sudden,
• 41:40
  you
• 41:40
  got
• 41:40
  to
• 41:40
  a
• 41:40
  point
• 41:40
  where
• 41:40
  it
• 41:40
  didn't
• 41:41
  matter.
• 41:41
  The
• 41:41
  eyelets
• 41:42
  were
• 41:42
  the
• 41:42
  weak
• 41:42
  point.
• 41:42
  No
• 41:43
  matter
• 41:43
  what,
• 41:43
  it
• 41:44
  didn't
• 41:44
  matter.
• 41:44
  So
• 41:44
  you
• 41:45
  get
• 41:45
  to
• 41:45
  a
• 41:45
  point
• 41:45
  on,
• 41:45
  those
• 41:45
  tarps
• 41:46
  were
• 41:46
  too
• 41:47
  thick,
• 41:47
  just
• 41:47
  as
• 41:47
  harder
• 41:47
  to
• 41:47
  work
• 41:48
  with
• 41:48
  and
• 41:48
  they
• 41:48
  don't
• 41:48
  flux
• 41:49
  around
• 41:49
  as
• 41:49
  much.
• 41:50
  But
• 41:50
  something
• 41:51
  to
• 41:51
  consider
• 41:52
  when
• 41:52
  you're
• 41:52
  doing
• 41:52
  this.
• 41:53
  And
• 41:53
  I
• 41:54
  think
• 41:54
  I
• 41:54
  told
• 41:54
  you
• 41:54
  guys
• 41:55
  that
• 41:55
  story
• 41:55
  that
• 41:55
  I
• 41:55
  had
• 41:56
  when
• 41:56
  we
• 41:56
  were
• 41:56
  working
• 41:56
  on
• 41:56
  our
• 41:56
  cannon
• 41:57
  beach
• 41:57
  house,
• 41:58
  trying
• 41:58
  to
• 41:58
  get
• 41:58
  that
• 41:59
  taken
• 41:59
  in.
• 41:59
  And,
• 42:00
  uh,
• 42:00
  that
• 42:00
  was,
• 42:00
  if
• 42:01
  you
• 42:01
  live
• 42:01
  in
• 42:01
  Cannon
• 42:01
  beach
• 42:02
  or
• 42:02
  if
• 42:02
  you
• 42:02
  live
• 42:03
  on
• 42:03
  the
• 42:03
  Oregon
• 42:03
  coast
• 42:04
  where
• 42:05
  this
• 42:05
  house
• 42:05
  is.
• 42:06
  Yes,
• 42:07
  we
• 42:07
  had
• 42:07
  the
• 42:07
  blue
• 42:07
  tarp
• 42:08
  house.
• 42:09
  We
• 42:09
  had
• 42:09
  about
• 42:09
  2000
• 42:10
  pounds
• 42:10
  of
• 42:10
  blue
• 42:10
  tarps
• 42:11
  on
• 42:11
  the
• 42:11
  roof.
• 42:11
  Because
• 42:11
  the,
• 42:12
  uh,
• 42:12
  old
• 42:12
  guy
• 42:12
  that
• 42:12
  had
• 42:13
  the
• 42:13
  house
• 42:13
  literally
• 42:14
  just
• 42:14
  sat
• 42:15
  there
• 42:15
  and
• 42:15
  kept
• 42:15
  putting
• 42:15
  blue
• 42:16
  tarps
• 42:16
  on
• 42:16
  top
• 42:16
  of
• 42:17
  it.
• 42:17
  That
• 42:17
  one
• 42:17
  would
• 42:18
  weather
• 42:18
  out
• 42:18
  and
• 42:19
  you
• 42:19
  could
• 42:19
  go
• 42:19
  back
• 42:19
  on
• 42:20
  Google
• 42:20
  images
• 42:21
  and
• 42:21
  go
• 42:21
  back
• 42:21
  decades
• 42:22
  and
• 42:22
  see
• 42:23
  there
• 42:23
  were
• 42:24
  two
• 42:24
  blue
• 42:24
  tarps
• 42:24
  on
• 42:25
  it.
• 42:25
  And
• 42:25
  I
• 42:25
  filled
• 42:25
  up
• 42:26
  the
• 42:26
  whole
• 42:26
  dump
• 42:26
  trailer
• 42:26
  with
• 42:26
  it.
• 42:27
  It
• 42:27
  was
• 42:27
  absolutely
• 42:27
  insane
• 42:28
  what
• 42:29
  happened.
• 42:30
  So,
• 42:30
  pretty
• 42:30
  crazy.
• 42:31
  Pretty
• 42:31
  crazy
• 42:31
  how
• 42:32
  that
• 42:32
  all
• 42:32
  goes
• 42:32
  together.
• 42:33
  But
• 42:34
  don't
• 42:34
  put
• 42:34
  too
• 42:34
  many
• 42:34
  blue
• 42:34
  tarps
• 42:35
  on
• 42:35
  there.
• 42:35
  When
• 42:35
  that
• 42:35
  one's
• 42:36
  gone,
• 42:36
  take
• 42:37
  it
• 42:37
  down,
• 42:37
  put
• 42:37
  another
• 42:38
  one
• 42:38
  up
• 42:38
  there.
• 42:38
  But
• 42:38
  really
• 42:39
  get
• 42:39
  on
• 42:39
  it
• 42:39
  as
• 42:39
  soon
• 42:39
  as
• 42:39
  you
• 42:40
  can
• 42:40
  to
• 42:40
  get
• 42:41
  that
• 42:41
  fixed
• 42:41
  up
• 42:42
  and
• 42:42
  protect
• 42:43
  your
• 42:43
  investment.
• 42:43
  That's
• 42:43
  the
• 42:44
  big
• 42:44
  thing
• 42:44
  here,
• 42:44
  guys.
• 42:45
  Speed
• 42:45
  is,
• 42:46
  is,
• 42:46
  is
• 42:46
  important,
• 42:47
  especially
• 42:47
  on
• 42:47
  the
• 42:47
  drying
• 42:48
  side
• 42:48
  of
• 42:48
  a
• 42:48
  flood.
• 42:49
  But
• 42:49
  really
• 42:50
  working
• 42:50
  through
• 42:50
  it,
• 42:51
  making
• 42:51
  sure
• 42:51
  it's
• 42:51
  done
• 42:52
  correctly,
• 42:53
  keeping
• 42:53
  an
• 42:53
  eye
• 42:53
  on
• 42:53
  the
• 42:53
  process,
• 42:54
  if
• 42:54
  you're
• 42:54
  working
• 42:54
  with
• 42:55
  an
• 42:55
  insurance
• 42:55
  company,
• 42:56
  is
• 42:56
  going
• 42:56
  to
• 42:56
  be
• 42:56
  the
• 42:56
  key.
• 42:57
  All
• 42:57
  right,
• 42:57
  everybody,
• 42:58
  that's
• 42:58
  the
• 42:58
  end
• 42:58
  of
• 42:58
  this
• 42:58
  show.
• 42:59
  If
• 42:59
  you've
• 42:59
  got
• 42:59
  any
• 42:59
  questions
• 42:59
  on
• 43:00
  your
• 43:00
  situation,
• 43:01
  reach
• 43:01
