- 0:09Speaker 1: Advice. Now, welcome to the naught a bit nicer. I'm
- 0:15Speaker 1: your host, strum Shooter and East Tuesday, which means our
- 0:18Speaker 1: dear friend, Miss d joins us. It was touch and go, Misty,
- 0:22Speaker 1: but here you are.
- 0:23Speaker 2: I was touch and go. So I have to tell
- 0:25Speaker 2: you where I am. I'm in Chicago. So I was
- 0:30Speaker 2: on a flight to Kentucky for my lovely job at Ebony,
- 0:34Speaker 2: but our flight was canceled at midnight, so I had
- 0:39Speaker 2: to find a hotel. And now I'm in lovely Chicago.
- 0:44Speaker 2: So if there's any listeners in Chicago, thank you for
- 0:47Speaker 2: allowing me to spend the day in your lovely city.
- 0:51Speaker 1: It's a great place. I love Chicago. I love Chicago.
- 0:54Speaker 1: It's so beautiful there.
- 0:56Speaker 2: Miss.
- 0:56Speaker 1: We always try to find the bright side here on life,
- 1:00Speaker 1: on this stuff that happens. I mean, Chicago, the city
- 1:04Speaker 1: of Oprah pretty not so bad.
- 1:07Speaker 2: Yeah, the last time I think I was here, No,
- 1:10Speaker 2: it's I've been to Chicago since then. But I do
- 1:12Speaker 2: remember bringing in my dear Nana here to go to
- 1:16Speaker 2: the Oprah show.
- 1:17Speaker 3: It was a birthday Wow, so so much fun.
- 1:20Speaker 2: I remember we were like, oh, you know, get your
- 1:23Speaker 2: fanciest coat because we're going to see miss Oprah and
- 1:27Speaker 2: we sat in like the third row and it was
- 1:31Speaker 2: just so exciting. She's a magnificent oh yeah, yeah, a
- 1:34Speaker 2: magnificent mile and my sorority Alpha Kappa Alpha's already incorporated,
- 1:40Speaker 2: is located headquartered in Chicago.
- 1:44Speaker 1: Look at that. Look at that. You might never leave.
- 1:46Speaker 1: Have so much to say. Okay, let's jump into the show.
- 1:48Speaker 1: What time is it, my friends? It is tea time.
- 1:51Speaker 1: So the ongoing Jennifer Lopez Ben Affleck drama has taken
- 1:54Speaker 1: a twist as his daughter Violet has been spotted with
- 1:58Speaker 1: Jen so Ghen was spotted She's adding the Hampton's. Ben
- 2:02Speaker 1: is in La Jenny's on the East Coast and she
- 2:04Speaker 1: was bonding with her stepdaughter Violet. She's eighteen years old.
- 2:09Speaker 1: She's the eldest daughter of Ben and Jennifer Gardener and
- 2:13Speaker 1: they were spotted in Southampton, strolling through the village and
- 2:17Speaker 1: even having a warm embrace. Jayla looked fabulous, let me
- 2:21Speaker 1: tell you, in a black jumpsuits, but also too. Violet
- 2:25Speaker 1: looked fantastic too, and she looks happy. She was wearing
- 2:28Speaker 1: a T shirt and jeans adorned with spaghetti and tomato print.
- 2:33Speaker 1: So really really cute. They went to a restaurant together.
- 2:36Speaker 1: I hit the phones, what is going on here? And
- 2:39Speaker 1: my sources tell me that even though things are difficult
- 2:42Speaker 1: between Jen and Ben, Jennifer is working really hard to
- 2:45Speaker 1: maintain a relationship with her stepchildren. She knows these kids,
- 2:49Speaker 1: She really likes these kids. Her kids like these kids.
- 2:53Speaker 1: This has become part of her family, and even if
- 2:56Speaker 1: things don't work out with Ben, they might not. She
- 2:58Speaker 1: wants to make sure that Violet and Ben's other children
- 3:02Speaker 1: are still involved in her life in some capacity. She
- 3:06Speaker 1: married Ben, she will always be part of that family.
- 3:10Speaker 1: She will always be their stepmother or their former stepmother.
- 3:13Speaker 1: And Jennifer's taken this really seriously. One of her friends
- 3:16Speaker 1: told me, now, when she broke up with a rot,
- 3:19Speaker 1: the thing that she regrets the most is she'd got
- 3:22Speaker 1: really close to his kids. His kids and her kids
- 3:24Speaker 1: had practically moved in together, and so she felt as
- 3:27Speaker 1: if she she broke up this whole family. And so
- 3:30Speaker 1: Jennifer here is trying to figure out away to have
- 3:33Speaker 1: Ben's children but maybe not Ben.
- 3:36Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 3:37Speaker 2: I think this is the hardest part of a breakup,
- 3:40Speaker 2: and especially for Jennifer Lopez. She loves very deeply, and
- 3:45Speaker 2: she loves not only the man, but the family he
- 3:48Speaker 2: brings with him.
- 3:49Speaker 3: We've seen this happen.
- 3:50Speaker 2: We've seen the pictures where she does the blended family
- 3:53Speaker 2: thing in the matching pajamas, spending time with the family,
- 3:57Speaker 2: and it's very hard. Children are are young, they're emotional
- 4:02Speaker 2: to make that separation. So I think for her as
- 4:05Speaker 2: a mother, it's so important to keep that relationship alive.
- 4:10Speaker 2: So I can see why she's still close to the kids.
- 4:13Speaker 3: And it's you know, I'm.
- 4:15Speaker 2: Sure it's a very tricky situation, like how do you
- 4:20Speaker 2: handle this?
- 4:20Speaker 3: How do you do it?
- 4:21Speaker 2: Really really gingerly and really thoughtfully. But let's face it,
- 4:27Speaker 2: there's two people in this. If Violet is there and
- 4:30Speaker 2: loving spending time with Jennifer, then she wants to have
- 4:34Speaker 2: this woman in her life as well, you know, So
- 4:37Speaker 2: we'll see what happens.
- 4:40Speaker 1: Yeah, Violet's an eighteen year old person, so she can
- 4:42Speaker 1: make her own decisions. She likes Jennifer Lopez. Jennifer Lopez
- 4:45Speaker 1: has been really kind to her, and she likes hanging
- 4:48Speaker 1: out with Jenny. Doesn't take anything away from her mom
- 4:50Speaker 1: or a father, a biological mother, a biological father. It
- 4:54Speaker 1: can be complicated here, but it also too doesn't have
- 4:56Speaker 1: to be and we can make choices in life. I
- 4:59Speaker 1: try to find out each day how I can make
- 5:03Speaker 1: my life better. I write down at the top of
- 5:05Speaker 1: my journal each day, how do I make today easier.
- 5:08Speaker 1: I just want an easy day. I want a good day.
- 5:10Speaker 1: I want to work hard, I want to laugh with
- 5:12Speaker 1: my friends. But it doesn't need to be nasty. And
- 5:15Speaker 1: I've learned the hard way to put down the sword,
- 5:18Speaker 1: to stop carrying that sword around. It was always in
- 5:22Speaker 1: my hand. In fact, mystery. I'm frightened to admit it.
- 5:25Speaker 1: I'm not proud of this. I was the sword. Everything
- 5:28Speaker 1: about me was ready for a fight, everything about me
- 5:32Speaker 1: was ready to stand up for what I thought was right.
- 5:35Speaker 1: And then I realized, no, that's not true. You're cloaking
- 5:38Speaker 1: yourself in those emotions, because really what you are is scared.
- 5:43Speaker 1: Life can be scary. Enjoy all the emotions. They how
- 5:48Speaker 1: a rainbow of emotions. We all have different emotions that
- 5:52Speaker 1: we can tap into. And so I'm really proud here.
- 5:55Speaker 1: I used to work for j Loo, so I know
- 5:56Speaker 1: her a little bit. I'm really proud that she's doing
- 5:59Speaker 1: this to make sure that those kids know that she's
- 6:02Speaker 1: there for them, that it might not work out with
- 6:04Speaker 1: her dad, which is a really tough thing to admit,
- 6:07Speaker 1: but it's the truth. It might not work out. But
- 6:10Speaker 1: if it doesn't work out, Jennifer would love to still
- 6:13Speaker 1: have a relationship with Ben's children, which brings us to
- 6:17Speaker 1: our pole question of the day. We Spotty j Lo
- 6:20Speaker 1: in the Hampton's with Violet sharing a real heart heartwarming
- 6:24Speaker 1: moment in the Hampton's. Can you remain friends with your
- 6:28Speaker 1: ex's kids? Is that possible? Has this happened to you?
- 6:31Speaker 1: Tell me your experience. Have you tried and it just
- 6:34Speaker 1: hasn't worked out? Let us know. Go to vote on
- 6:38Speaker 1: our Twitter page out Naughty Nice Rob or our Facebook
- 6:41Speaker 1: page which is a naughty gossip, and be sure to
- 6:43Speaker 1: check back to up brow Wolter hear your results. He
- 6:45Speaker 1: miss do Love, what are you working on?
- 6:48Speaker 2: What was really sad news this weekend? To hear about
- 6:51Speaker 2: Shannon Doherty's passing and her very good friend Sarah. Michelle
- 6:55Speaker 2: Geller is urging fans to honor Shannon's legacy following her death,
- 7:00Speaker 2: so the Buffy the Vampire stars chered a heartfelt tribute
- 7:04Speaker 2: on her Instagram after Shannon her friend of thirty years
- 7:08Speaker 2: succumb to breast cancer on Saturday.
- 7:11Speaker 3: She wrote, how do you.
- 7:12Speaker 2: Possibly find the right words to sum up thirty years
- 7:16Speaker 2: of friendship? I keep reminding myself it only hurts this
- 7:21Speaker 2: much because there was so much love now. Sarah emphasized
- 7:25Speaker 2: that the best way to honor Shannon his memory is
- 7:29Speaker 2: through Shannon's love for animals, and she wrote, more than anything,
- 7:34Speaker 2: Shan loved animals, especially dogs, and her memory, let's support
- 7:39Speaker 2: some of her favorite animal charities and even our own.
- 7:43Speaker 2: And so she encouraged fans to donate to the charities,
- 7:46Speaker 2: to visit local shelters and offer cuddles and walks to animals,
- 7:51Speaker 2: or simply to tag shelters and let them know how
- 7:54Speaker 2: much they care. I mean, I was in shock when
- 7:58Speaker 2: I saw the news. I know Shannon have been fighting
- 8:01Speaker 2: so hard, and I know it must be so challenging
- 8:05Speaker 2: when you lose a friend, but you just have to
- 8:08Speaker 2: keep the memory alive and through another living thing.
- 8:11Speaker 3: It's just a beautiful thought. What do you think, Rob, Yeah.
- 8:15Speaker 1: I think this is such a beautiful thing to say.
- 8:17Speaker 1: It hurts so much because there was so much love.
- 8:21Speaker 1: There was so much love there. That's why it hurts.
- 8:24Speaker 1: It's very complicated. What would you rather have in life?
- 8:28Speaker 1: Not the love and then you don't have the hurt. No,
- 8:31Speaker 1: we want that love. We want that love, but with
- 8:34Speaker 1: it comes hurt. It does hurt when your friends pass,
- 8:39Speaker 1: when your dogs pass. My goodness, when my last dog died,
- 8:43Speaker 1: it was the most heartbreaking day and I almost thought
- 8:46Speaker 1: this just isn't worth it. There is nothing that is
- 8:49Speaker 1: worth this amount of pain. But the answer is yes,
- 8:52Speaker 1: there is. It's ten, twelve, fifteen years. In my case,
- 8:55Speaker 1: I was lucky of having a beautiful companion by my
- 8:58Speaker 1: side again. And we're touching on this a lot today.
- 9:02Speaker 1: It's a bad experience in all the emotions as and
- 9:05Speaker 1: so if you want to love deeply, you're probably gonna
- 9:08Speaker 1: hurt deeply at some point two. But I promise you
- 9:11Speaker 1: it's really worth it. Okay, Moving along, Julia Roberts and
- 9:16Speaker 1: Danni moder enjoyed an incredible Wimbledon date after twenty two
- 9:20Speaker 1: years of marriage. So, because we were all talking about
- 9:23Speaker 1: Kate Middleton, if you've got to look over a shoulder,
- 9:26Speaker 1: if you looked, have a Kate shoulder, there was Julia Roberts.
- 9:29Speaker 1: How many times it's Julia Roberts in the audience, and
- 9:31Speaker 1: you don't look at her because somebody else is there
- 9:34Speaker 1: who's an even bigger start. It was Kate's day. We
- 9:37Speaker 1: celebrated that. Yesterday on the show, I did point out
- 9:39Speaker 1: that Julia Roberts was there, and now a friend of
- 9:42Speaker 1: mine pointed out that they have just celebrated their twenty
- 9:45Speaker 1: second anniversary. Julia is one of the most private celebrities.
- 9:48Speaker 1: I would argue Julia and Jennifer Amiston are probably the
- 9:53Speaker 1: two most private. But recently Julia is enjoying Instagram, and
- 9:58Speaker 1: so she put up a picture of the two of
- 10:00Speaker 1: them having this brilliant life together. Twenty two years of happiness.
- 10:05Speaker 1: These two. You never ever hear any drama about mister.
- 10:10Speaker 1: We cover celebrities for a living. We know this beat.
- 10:13Speaker 1: We know the ones that are naughty, we we know
- 10:15Speaker 1: the ones that are nice, and we know the ones
- 10:18Speaker 1: that are Julia Roberts, which means we basically don't know anything.
- 10:21Speaker 1: She keeps her cards close to her chest.
- 10:23Speaker 2: She does, but listen, I sat across from Julia Roberts.
- 10:28Speaker 3: She did a movie for Netflix.
- 10:30Speaker 2: It escapes me the name at the moment, but let
- 10:33Speaker 2: me tell you that woman is exquisite. She smiles, it
- 10:37Speaker 2: lights up the room. She's got legs for days. And
- 10:41Speaker 2: she was the nicest person I have spoken to in
- 10:45Speaker 2: a long time. So I am happy for her happiness.
- 10:49Speaker 2: I mean, hashtag relationship goals twenty two years. And you
- 10:55Speaker 2: know what, after twenty two years of love and happiness,
- 11:00Speaker 2: you might want to share a little, just a teeny bit.
- 11:02Speaker 2: She's not gonna give us a lot, but she might
- 11:05Speaker 2: give us a picture or two to say in her
- 11:07Speaker 2: own way, we are happy. And you know what, you
- 11:10Speaker 2: can have this too. So miss Julia, I am looking
- 11:16Speaker 2: and I am listen.
- 11:20Speaker 1: You are she is extraordinary. I sat behind her a
- 11:26Speaker 1: pretty woman on Broadway. They turned her movie into a
- 11:29Speaker 1: Broadway musical, and she went to see it, and the
- 11:31Speaker 1: pr people tipped us off and we sat behind her,
- 11:34Speaker 1: and during the intermission I came face to face with her.
- 11:37Speaker 1: My goodness, is a movie star. There's very few that
- 11:40Speaker 1: are absolute movie stars. Angelina Jolie is a movie star.
- 11:44Speaker 1: Brad Pitt is a movie star. Julia Roberts she's one
- 11:47Speaker 1: of the last remaining movie stars. Okay, moving along, we
- 11:52Speaker 1: now know Shannon's final wishes about where she wanted to
- 11:57Speaker 1: be buried, Misty, what what did she want?
- 12:00Speaker 2: Yeah, so months before her passings, she actually openly discussed
- 12:04Speaker 2: her final wishes regarding her remains. Now we knew her
- 12:08Speaker 2: from Charmed, I mean Beverly Hill's nine two one to oh,
- 12:11Speaker 2: the original I watched heronda. She revealed on her podcast
- 12:16Speaker 2: Let's Be Clear in January her desire to be cremated
- 12:20Speaker 2: and have her ashes combined with those of her beloved
- 12:23Speaker 2: dog Bowie and her late father. So she said back then,
- 12:28Speaker 2: I want my ashes to be mixed with my dad's
- 12:30Speaker 2: and my dogs, and she wished that the blend would
- 12:33Speaker 2: integrate all their ashes together.
- 12:36Speaker 3: The most important people and dog in her life.
- 12:42Speaker 2: So she passed away as we know, at fifty three,
- 12:45Speaker 2: battling cancer. And she also granted permission for her friend
- 12:49Speaker 2: Chris to wear a portion of her ashes around his neck.
- 12:54Speaker 2: A guest, you're reminiscent of how she had worn her
- 12:57Speaker 2: own father's ashes following his death in twenty ten. I mean,
- 13:03Speaker 2: that's crazy nine to two and oh twenty ten. So
- 13:07Speaker 2: you in the final day she was with her friend Chris,
- 13:10Speaker 2: and I mean this, it's just so sad. When you
- 13:14Speaker 2: she knew that her time was short, so she made
- 13:16Speaker 2: the most of it, and she told us what she wanted.
- 13:19Speaker 2: A lot of us, you know, we don't. We don't
- 13:21Speaker 2: get an opportunity to say this is what we want
- 13:24Speaker 2: because hopefully we have nice, long lives and we don't
- 13:27Speaker 2: have to think about it. But Rob, but what do
- 13:29Speaker 2: you think about that? I know your dog means your life.
- 13:33Speaker 1: I love my dog? Is I love my dog? Is?
- 13:35Speaker 1: I think you're right, mister. We don't have to think
- 13:38Speaker 1: about this, hopefully, but maybe we should. Maybe we should
- 13:41Speaker 1: all think about our final wishes. Where we want to go.
- 13:46Speaker 1: Do you want to be cremated? Do you want to
- 13:48Speaker 1: be buried? What do you want? You're finding resting place
- 13:52Speaker 1: to be and maybe that's a good and comfortable conversation
- 13:56Speaker 1: to have with yourself, with your friends, with your loved ones,
- 13:59Speaker 1: with your family. Make your decisions. Don't let somebody else
- 14:02Speaker 1: make them for you. Okay, quickly, before we get a break.
- 14:05Speaker 1: Richard Simmons expressed a gratitude of life for life in
- 14:09Speaker 1: his final interview just before his death, so People magazine
- 14:12Speaker 1: spoke to him just shortly before his death. They spoke
- 14:16Speaker 1: to him because he was celebrating his seventy sixth birthday
- 14:20Speaker 1: and he said, quitet, I feel good. I'm grateful to
- 14:23Speaker 1: be here. I am alive for another day.
- 14:25Speaker 3: Now.
- 14:26Speaker 1: There's new shocking news coming out of LA two that
- 14:29Speaker 1: when Richard had a fall in his house, he turned
- 14:33Speaker 1: down medical attention. The housekeeper found him, knew he had
- 14:39Speaker 1: had a fall, wanted to get medical intervention. Richard said no,
- 14:45Speaker 1: he went to bed and never woke up. Just heartbreaking.
- 14:49Speaker 1: I do like to know though, that just days before
- 14:53Speaker 1: he passed, he was doing interviews. He was talking about life.
- 14:57Speaker 1: This man was an extraordinary hum and being who really
- 15:00Speaker 1: changed the fitness business. Like we all smile and giggle
- 15:04Speaker 1: when we think of Richard, but he did wonderful work too.
- 15:07Speaker 1: He's the first one that put people of all shapes
- 15:09Speaker 1: and sizes in his fitness videos. That didn't exist until him.
- 15:13Speaker 1: He was the first one out there telling people not
- 15:15Speaker 1: to diet but instead to make sensible choices, moderation. A
- 15:19Speaker 1: wonderful man, and he did it all with a smile. Richard,
- 15:22Speaker 1: Rest in power. Okay, We're going to take a quick
- 15:24Speaker 1: break and we will be right back. Welcome back to
- 15:28Speaker 1: the nautyburn I show your husband Shooter with our dear friend,
- 15:31Speaker 1: Miss d from Chic Cargo, who was up until I
- 15:33Speaker 1: think three am finding a hotel. So thank you for
- 15:36Speaker 1: getting up so early and being with us today, Miss
- 15:39Speaker 1: d Okay, let's get to the polls. Thank you, Thank you.
- 15:46Speaker 1: That show we talked about Kate Middleton looking amazing, stunning
- 15:51Speaker 1: in a surprise appearance at Wimbledon. Our question was, were
- 15:54Speaker 1: you surprised to see her? Let's have a look. Oh,
- 15:57Speaker 1: sixty five percent said yes, you were surprised. It's been
- 16:01Speaker 1: so so careful to stay out of the public eye.
- 16:05Speaker 1: We saw her at Trooping the Color and now at Wimbledon.
- 16:09Speaker 1: But I'm told my sources are telling me she's carefully
- 16:11Speaker 1: selecting the events that she wants to go to while
- 16:15Speaker 1: she still goes through her treatment. Kate, it was wonderful
- 16:18Speaker 1: to see you. Okay, don't forget to vote on today's Paul.
- 16:21Speaker 1: We'll go to add to a debated a naughty nice
- 16:23Speaker 1: robo on Facebook page nobody else him and be sure
- 16:26Speaker 1: to check back tomorrow to hear your results. And now
- 16:30Speaker 1: it's time for our Nice of the Day.
- 16:34Speaker 2: We our nice of the day is the real couple
- 16:38Speaker 2: William and Kate, because they delighted us all by sharing
- 16:41Speaker 2: just a rare peek into their private lives of the
- 16:45Speaker 2: youngest children. So we're talking about Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. Oh,
- 16:50Speaker 2: that little little cutie troublemaker, So the royal couple.
- 16:53Speaker 3: They're both forty two.
- 16:55Speaker 2: They shared an intimate photo of Charlotte and Louis enjoying
- 16:58Speaker 2: a moment together while watching the u e FA European
- 17:02Speaker 2: Championship match between England and Spain. So now, in this
- 17:06Speaker 2: heartwarming picture, Charlotte and Louis were dressed in customized soccer
- 17:11Speaker 2: jerseys featuring their first name and their ages, which is
- 17:14Speaker 2: nine and six, and the photo posted on their Instagram
- 17:18Speaker 2: apparent the parents' Instagram account captured the siblings just watching
- 17:23Speaker 2: the game.
- 17:24Speaker 3: They were having a great time.
- 17:25Speaker 2: And it was just a little glimpse of their cozy
- 17:28Speaker 2: family life. Now, we don't know where Prince George was
- 17:31Speaker 2: at the time, so some fans were wondering about his whereabouts.
- 17:35Speaker 2: But you know, oldest brother might have been at who knows,
- 17:40Speaker 2: golf camp, or basketball camp, or or Bible camp.
- 17:44Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 17:45Speaker 2: That's what my nephews are doing all summer long. So
- 17:48Speaker 2: maybe my nephew Chase, who's nine is hanging out with
- 17:53Speaker 2: Prince George.
- 17:55Speaker 1: Lovely, lovely I do. I did find out where George was.
- 17:57Speaker 1: He was at a football game in Germany, so he
- 17:59Speaker 1: was football game, so while they were watching it on television,
- 18:03Speaker 1: George was actually there and nicest of the day. I
- 18:05Speaker 1: love that they're giving us an insight into their lives, mystery,
- 18:09Speaker 1: a peek behind the curtain. I think they've really figured
- 18:12Speaker 1: this out, that this is not something that the family
- 18:14Speaker 1: naturally does. But it's modern, it's new, and it's Kate
- 18:18Speaker 1: and it's William. We love it, okay, and now I
- 18:20Speaker 1: know it's the day noughty naughty. Kim's in a ton
- 18:23Speaker 1: of trouble for wearing red to an Indian wedding. So
- 18:26Speaker 1: she went to a billionaire wedding in India and wore red.
- 18:30Speaker 1: Not once, Misty, she wore it twice. Now some people
- 18:34Speaker 1: might not know this, but traditionally reddy is reserved in
- 18:37Speaker 1: an Indian wedding for the bride. So think about a
