- 0:02Speaker 1: Apostle Fermi Lazarus is a man raised by God to
- 0:06Speaker 1: demonstrate his wisdom and authority to the last day church.
- 0:10Speaker 1: He is the lead pastor of Sphere of Light Church
- 0:13Speaker 1: and God told him years ago that a time will
- 0:16Speaker 1: come where my wisdom will be needed to navigate tough
- 0:19Speaker 1: times in the body of Christ.
- 0:22Speaker 2: Then I will cause your voice to be heard.
- 0:25Speaker 1: And all who pay attention to my word on your
- 0:29Speaker 1: lips will not lack light and direction. He's a man
- 0:33Speaker 1: sent from God, sent to raise God's end time armies.
- 0:38Speaker 1: With Apostle Fermi Lazarus, every minute counts as you listen attentively.
- 0:45Speaker 2: All right, start a new series on the subject titled, What? Trauma. Alright,
- 0:54Speaker 2: and I'm going to show you scripture. Let me show
- 1:00Speaker 2: you a scripture. Mark chapter number 8, verse 24. The
- 1:10Speaker 2: book of Mark, chapter number 8, verse what? 24. Are
- 1:20Speaker 2: you there? If you're there, say Amen. Be quiet. Mark 8.
- 1:36Speaker 2: Now let me start the reading from verse 22 so
- 1:42Speaker 2: we can have contextual background to understanding this. And he
- 1:50Speaker 2: cometh to Bethesda. And they bring a blind man unto him,
- 1:57Speaker 2: and besought him to touch him. And he took the
- 2:01Speaker 2: blind man, and led him out of the town. And
- 2:08Speaker 2: when he had spit on his eyes, and put his
- 2:14Speaker 2: hand upon him, he haxed him, if he saw, that is,
- 2:20Speaker 2: if he could now see. Then the man looked up
- 2:25Speaker 2: and he looked up and said, I see men as
- 2:30Speaker 2: trees walking. After he put his hands again upon his
- 2:37Speaker 2: eyes and made him look up and he was restored.
- 2:42Speaker 2: And he saw every man clearly. And he sent him
- 2:47Speaker 2: away to his house saying, neither go into the town
- 2:50Speaker 2: nor tell it to anyone in the town. We know
- 2:53Speaker 2: the drama that followed. But there's something really. We miss something.
- 2:57Speaker 2: Whenever we look at this scripture. The man had never seen.
- 3:03Speaker 2: In his life. Never for once. And the person praying
- 3:08Speaker 2: for him. Jesus himself. He did not delegate. He prayed
- 3:15Speaker 2: for him. Himself. As a matter of fact. He took
- 3:19Speaker 2: it extra. Okay. Okay. When the blind man came, the
- 3:23Speaker 2: Bible said he held him by the hand and led
- 3:26Speaker 2: him away from the people. Then Jesus spat on his face.
- 3:36Speaker 2: The first thing the man saw was men like trees. Listen.
- 3:47Speaker 2: When you begin to do the kind of things you
- 3:50Speaker 2: have never done before, you perceive everyone else as superior
- 3:54Speaker 2: and yourself as inferior. Listen, listen. Where was he talking from?
- 4:00Speaker 2: It was the blue that blindness had dealt to him.
- 4:05Speaker 2: A man who had never seen. How did he notice?
- 4:12Speaker 2: What he was simply saying is that the kind of
- 4:15Speaker 2: people I'm seeing don't look like me. They are taller.
- 4:18Speaker 2: They are higher and they are bigger. The reason why
- 4:23Speaker 2: I'm taking this subject is a prophetic subject for this year.
- 4:27Speaker 2: You are about to step into the kind of field
- 4:29Speaker 2: you have never stepped in. And you must not perceive
- 4:33Speaker 2: men as trees. Are you following what I'm saying here?
- 4:39Speaker 2: I know you have seen life to an extent. But
- 4:43Speaker 2: you are about to see something entirely new that will
- 4:46Speaker 2: blow your mind. You are about to enter into rooms
- 4:51Speaker 2: that and corridors, where you must not perceive men as priests.
- 5:02Speaker 2: While I was praying, preparing for this meeting, one of
- 5:07Speaker 2: my daughters just sent me a video that I posted.
- 5:10Speaker 2: I'm inside a private jet, flying with our woman. I
- 5:16Speaker 2: said to her, never show it to people that you
- 5:19Speaker 2: are too privileged to be with them. Own that place.
- 5:25Speaker 2: When God lifts you, if he has not dealt with
- 5:28Speaker 2: the scales in your mind, you will see men like
- 5:32Speaker 2: trees and they will know you don't belong there. Okay?
- 5:38Speaker 2: He said, I've seen men like trees. These guys are
- 5:41Speaker 2: too tall. They are higher. Where was he talking from?
- 5:45Speaker 2: He had never seen. He had never seen. I'm going somewhere.
- 5:55Speaker 2: The known can traumatize the new. What you have always
- 6:04Speaker 2: known can restrict everything else God wants to do. And
- 6:10Speaker 2: that's why you need to wake up. Alright? And you
- 6:13Speaker 2: look at this, I mean, search across scriptures, you will
- 6:19Speaker 2: see several episodes of people who kept seeing men Like trees.
- 6:28Speaker 2: And the reality of that. Was that they never stepped
- 6:30Speaker 2: into God's best for them. Because they were traumatized. Exodus
- 6:36Speaker 2: chapter number 1. Are you with me? Exodus 1. Now
- 6:43Speaker 2: let's look at a conversation here. Alright. Let's start reading
- 6:49Speaker 2: from verse 6. And Joseph died. And all his brethren.
- 6:54Speaker 2: And all that generation died. And the children of Israel
- 6:57Speaker 2: were fruitful and increased abundantly and multiplied and waxed exceeding mighty,
- 7:04Speaker 2: and the land was full of them, was filled with them.
- 7:09Speaker 2: And there arose a new king over Egypt, which knew
- 7:13Speaker 2: not Joseph. Let me say this to you as a
- 7:16Speaker 2: word of encouragement. As God lives you in life, you
- 7:22Speaker 2: will meet people who pretend like they don't know about
- 7:24Speaker 2: your exploits. It is not because your expert is small.
- 7:28Speaker 2: It's because their mind is small. When you meet such people,
- 7:33Speaker 2: embrace them and help their esteem. Is that okay now?
- 7:37Speaker 2: The mark of Joseph was so loud, it would take
- 7:40Speaker 2: three times to ignore it. But this guy deliberately said,
- 7:44Speaker 2: who is Joseph? Is he an Egyptian? No, forget about him. Alright?
- 7:49Speaker 2: And the reason why he did that is clear. There
- 7:52Speaker 2: arose up a new king. He didn't know Joseph. We too,
- 7:55Speaker 2: we don't know him. Aha. Alright, which knew not Joseph.
- 7:58Speaker 2: And he said unto his people, Behold, the people of
- 8:02Speaker 2: the children of Israel are more. Somehow they say more.
- 8:06Speaker 2: That's the first population. And mightier. Might now talks about
- 8:13Speaker 2: their capability. Their strength as a people. Look at it.
- 8:18Speaker 2: They are more and mightier than we. Come on. Let
- 8:23Speaker 2: us deal wisely with them. Lest they multiply themselves. And
- 8:27Speaker 2: it comes to pass that when they forlet out any war,
- 8:32Speaker 2: they join also unto our enemies and fight against us.
- 8:37Speaker 2: And so get them out of the land. And they
- 8:43Speaker 2: did say, I don't have time. Go and listen to
- 8:45Speaker 2: my message, reversing the mistakes of Joseph, to show you
- 8:48Speaker 2: that they actually built two estates for them. Okay? Let's continue. Therefore,
- 8:58Speaker 2: they did set over them taxmasters to afflict them with
- 9:02Speaker 2: their burdens. And they built for Pharaoh treasure cities, Phaethon, Ramses.
- 9:10Speaker 2: But the more they afflicted them, the more they multiplied
- 9:13Speaker 2: and grew. And they were grieved because of the children
- 9:19Speaker 2: of Israel. And the Egyptians made the children of Israel
- 9:22Speaker 2: to serve with rigor and made their lives bitter. With
- 9:27Speaker 2: hard bondage. In mortar and in bricks. And in all
- 9:31Speaker 2: manner of service in the field. And all their service.
- 9:34Speaker 2: Wherein they made themselves. Was with rigor. That was what
- 9:40Speaker 2: they did. Okay. I showed you this. When Pharaoh observed them.
- 9:48Speaker 2: They had two dimensions of growth. The first is numbers.
- 9:51Speaker 2: The second is strength. When they dealt with them. There
- 9:56Speaker 2: was no more conversation about strength. What was left was what? Numbers.
- 10:00Speaker 2: So you can see that with African nations. They have
- 10:03Speaker 2: the power. They used to have what it takes to
- 10:05Speaker 2: be world power. And then they dealt with them. Now
- 10:08Speaker 2: you hear the most populous this and the most populous that.
- 10:11Speaker 2: Because affliction takes away might and leaves you with numbers.
- 10:15Speaker 2: You must understand that. Affliction takes away might and leaves
- 10:19Speaker 2: you with what? Numbers. Never trivialize sufferings. Even when the
- 10:25Speaker 2: suffering is gone, the man may still be suffering from
- 10:29Speaker 2: the effect. And I'll share some of my funny stories
- 10:32Speaker 2: that I suffered. But there's no trophy for suffering. Because
- 10:39Speaker 2: if all of us start arguing now, say, I suffered
- 10:41Speaker 2: more than you. They are not necessary. But you will
- 10:48Speaker 2: discover that even when that season is over, you still
- 10:53Speaker 2: have the tendency or the ability to do to yourself
- 10:55Speaker 2: what your affliction did to you. Let's assume. Let's use
- 11:00Speaker 2: the Nigerian one. Simple one. Okay? When you go to
- 11:06Speaker 2: the market and buy meat, the sizes you cut them to,
- 11:10Speaker 2: is it your affliction to your oppressors that are doing that? No.
- 11:13Speaker 2: You have continued from where they stopped. That's the orientation.
- 11:20Speaker 2: Affliction does it to a level. You do it better.
- 11:25Speaker 2: They afflicted them. Okay? And they never recovered. They never did.
- 11:35Speaker 2: And that's why we must not trivialize this teaching. Because
- 11:40Speaker 2: I'm just getting started. They never recovered. They never recovered.
- 11:46Speaker 2: At some point, they were saying that we miss the garlics,
- 11:52Speaker 2: the cucumbers, the melon, and the leeks in Egypt, plus
- 11:57Speaker 2: the chains. Because when a man goes through the furnace
- 12:03Speaker 2: of affliction, he loses his self-perception. And that's why I've
- 12:09Speaker 2: come to announce again, you are not your problems. Every
- 12:15Speaker 2: challenge you are facing or that you have faced only
- 12:19Speaker 2: came to pass. And be careful of your bargains while
- 12:23Speaker 2: you are in it. Because you may bargain your word
- 12:26Speaker 2: out of it. Is that clear now? Very important. Okay?
- 12:34Speaker 2: I teach people some business principles. Don't make bargains when
- 12:37Speaker 2: you are too excited. You may sell yourself. You are
- 12:42Speaker 2: going to discuss business with somebody talking fast. Giving you
- 12:45Speaker 2: things that will make you excited. You will sign contract.
- 12:48Speaker 2: You will discover, I did not read it. Because you
- 12:53Speaker 2: are not calming down. And don't make bargains when you
- 12:56Speaker 2: are down. Okay? Because little things will communicate your essence.
- 13:03Speaker 2: You must understand that. So, this is a real thing.
- 13:06Speaker 2: The devil has tried it again and again. And guess what?
- 13:09Speaker 2: It is working. The devil has done that across scriptures
- 13:13Speaker 2: again and again. And it is working. So, let me
- 13:21Speaker 2: begin to introduce you to our conversation tonight. What is trauma?
- 13:36Speaker 2: What is trauma? I'm going to give you different definitions.
- 13:39Speaker 2: But understand that I'm focusing particularly on the mind. Because
- 13:45Speaker 2: as a man thinks in his heart, so is he.
- 13:49Speaker 2: A trauma is an injury to the mind or emotions.
- 13:54Speaker 2: An injury to the mind or emotions. Take that as
- 14:01Speaker 2: first definition. Number two, an unforgettable experience that scars the
- 14:09Speaker 2: soul An unforgettable experience that scars the soul. Number three.
- 14:22Speaker 2: Number one, I said an injury to the mind or emotions.
- 14:26Speaker 2: Number two, an unforgettable experience that scars the soul. Number three,
- 14:36Speaker 2: a disturbing or distressing experience. A disturbing or distressing experience.
- 14:46Speaker 2: Number four. An emotional wound leading to psychological injury. Alright?
- 14:56Speaker 2: An emotional wound leading to psychological injury. So, what do
- 15:01Speaker 2: we want to ask? Why is he teaching on the
- 15:03Speaker 2: subject of trauma? In the body of Christ. There are
- 15:07Speaker 2: many things that need to be taught. Salvation is there.
- 15:09Speaker 2: Let me show you. Are you with your Bibles? Luke
- 15:15Speaker 2: chapter number 4 please. So let me start reading from
- 15:18Speaker 2: verse 16 so we can have background to this conversation.
- 15:22Speaker 2: Luke 4 from verse 16. And he came to Nazareth
- 15:26Speaker 2: where he had been brought up as his custom was.
- 15:30Speaker 2: And he went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day
- 15:33Speaker 2: and stood up for to read. And there was delivered
- 15:38Speaker 2: unto him the book of the prophet Isaiah's. The word
- 15:43Speaker 2: there is actually another spelling for Isaiah. And when he
- 15:49Speaker 2: had opened the book, he found the place where it
- 15:53Speaker 2: was written. The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,
- 15:58Speaker 2: for he has anointed me, because he has anointed me
- 16:00Speaker 2: to preach the gospel to the poor. He has sent
- 16:04Speaker 2: me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives,
- 16:11Speaker 2: and the rediscovering of sight to the blind, to set
- 16:15Speaker 2: at liberty them that are bruised, to preach the acceptable
- 16:19Speaker 2: ear of the Lord. And he closed the book. So
- 16:24Speaker 2: when he said, he has anointed me to do what
- 16:28Speaker 2: to the brokenhearted? To heal. Somebody said to heal. Said
- 16:34Speaker 2: again to heal. Let me show you what that means
- 16:39Speaker 2: in the simplest way you should never forget. Okay? Please come.
- 16:46Speaker 2: One of the personalities I love so much, I read
- 16:49Speaker 2: his books and I saw a movie that was acted
- 16:54Speaker 2: out just for him. It's the man Nelson Mandela. If
- 17:00Speaker 2: you want to, probably people have been asking me, what
- 17:02Speaker 2: kind of books do you read? I recommend Long Walk
- 17:04Speaker 2: to Freedom. But listen, when they arrested him And his friends.
- 17:14Speaker 2: And they took them to. I think Pretoria first. And
- 17:18Speaker 2: they were in prison. The first thing they did. And
- 17:23Speaker 2: check any prison. Somebody gets to the prison. One of
- 17:26Speaker 2: the first thing they do in the prison. Is to
- 17:29Speaker 2: take the clothes off the person. And most times shave
- 17:32Speaker 2: the hair. It is a way of announcing. We own you. Okay. Okay.
- 17:41Speaker 2: And the idea of those systems is to get a
- 17:45Speaker 2: man there and pass him through scripted curriculums to the
- 17:50Speaker 2: end that you break him. So how do you break
- 17:57Speaker 2: a man? Pass him through dehumanizing situations. His will will bend.
- 18:07Speaker 2: The sense of might in him will bow. You know
- 18:11Speaker 2: the man is broken when he switches from asking for
- 18:14Speaker 2: freedom to asking for food. What that means is he
- 18:21Speaker 2: can no longer perceive life outside. He is now institutionalized.
- 18:30Speaker 2: Are you with me? Let me explain. This is the
- 18:34Speaker 2: reason why you see that if a man stays long
- 18:39Speaker 2: in prison, Chances are very high that he's coming back.
- 18:45Speaker 2: Because the curriculum of the prison is to make sure
- 18:48Speaker 2: that he cannot find identity in the real world. When
- 18:53Speaker 2: he gets outside the real world, he's a nobody. But
- 18:55Speaker 2: in the prison, he's a class captain. When he gets
- 19:00Speaker 2: outside in the real world, he doesn't have anything. In
- 19:02Speaker 2: the prison, somebody is fanning him. So, when you break
- 19:05Speaker 2: a man, he becomes a king in a cubicle. And
- 19:10Speaker 2: he can no longer see himself where it really matters.
- 19:13Speaker 2: So what does he mean to be broken at it?
- 19:19Speaker 2: Because sometimes when you read that scripture, you feel his
- 19:22Speaker 2: heart break. No. Let me read this scripture in another translation.
- 19:27Speaker 2: We need to understand. And this is the gospel. Is
- 19:33Speaker 2: that okay? I'm going to show you another part. This
- 19:35Speaker 2: is the scripture. Still that same Luke chapter number 4
- 19:42Speaker 2: Luke 4, 18. He said, God's Spirit is upon me
- 19:48Speaker 2: because He has chosen me to preach the message. of
- 19:50Speaker 2: good news to the poor, sent me to announce pardon
- 19:53Speaker 2: to prisoners, recovery of sight to the blind, to set
- 19:57Speaker 2: the burdened, the burdened and the battered, the burdened and
- 20:02Speaker 2: the what? The battered, those that life has shattered them,
- 20:08Speaker 2: to announce God's year Alright? Let me read Amplified. Look
- 20:13Speaker 2: at it. It said, The Spirit of the Lord is
- 20:15Speaker 2: upon me because He has anointed me, the anointed one,
- 20:18Speaker 2: the Messiah, to preach good news, the gospel, to the poor.
- 20:21Speaker 2: He has sent me to announce the release of captives
- 20:23Speaker 2: and recovery of sight to the blind, to send forth
- 20:28Speaker 2: as delivered those who are oppressed, downtrodden, bruised, crushed, and
- 20:35Speaker 2: broken down by calamity. There is a dimension of healing
- 20:43Speaker 2: we are used to. Broken bones straightened out. Tumors disappearing.
- 20:50Speaker 2: However powerful those ones are, when a person who is
- 20:54Speaker 2: broken on the inside is healed, he will still be small.
- 21:01Speaker 2: What I'm trying to tell you is that a person
- 21:04Speaker 2: can be on a wheelchair for 20 years and everybody
- 21:09Speaker 2: sees the person and concludes that this person is broke
- 21:11Speaker 2: because he's on a wheelchair And 10 years after raising
- 21:14Speaker 2: from wheelchair, he's still small. Because now the wheelchair is
- 21:18Speaker 2: in the mind. So I saw a story a while back. Well,
- 21:28Speaker 2: I don't know if it's fiction, but I read the
- 21:31Speaker 2: story somewhere. There's this guy that they were using to
- 21:36Speaker 2: test the integrity of prisons. So when they create or
- 21:43Speaker 2: develop a new prison or build a new prison they
- 21:46Speaker 2: will bring him there to test the integrity so he
- 21:49Speaker 2: used to break the jail and escape and he had
- 21:53Speaker 2: escaped from every prison they have ever put him and
- 21:57Speaker 2: finally there was this time they invited him to break
- 22:01Speaker 2: this particular one and the guy did everything he tried
- 22:05Speaker 2: checking the routine of the warders check when they do
- 22:09Speaker 2: this when they go on shift try to observe everything
- 22:12Speaker 2: And he was not getting any clue. And he was
- 22:15Speaker 2: there longer than he had stayed in any prison. And
- 22:19Speaker 2: one time he was broken. Okay? Don't forget what I said.
- 22:24Speaker 2: Being broken means he gave up. He could no longer
- 22:27Speaker 2: see himself outside that thing. And he was crying. And
- 22:31Speaker 2: he fell against the door of the prison. And when
- 22:35Speaker 2: he fell against that door, the door opened. And it
- 22:38Speaker 2: occurred to him, the real key that kept him was
- 22:41Speaker 2: not bars of iron. It was in his mind. And
- 22:47Speaker 2: when the devil gets people there, the Bible said what
- 22:50Speaker 2: they need is what? Healing. Because affliction of the past
- 22:57Speaker 2: can traumatize a man and take away the possibility of
- 23:01Speaker 2: thinking anything better can come out. And you know that
- 23:04Speaker 2: you will have to be healed to enter into your
- 23:06Speaker 2: promised land. You have to. Because there are things you
- 23:09Speaker 2: can't conceive, not because anybody is holding whip, but because
- 23:12Speaker 2: life has shown you before. It's not yours. It's time
- 23:15Speaker 2: to rethink. It's time to rediscover. I might have suffered,
- 23:20Speaker 2: but that's not who I am. I said suffering tries
- 23:23Speaker 2: to give you a new identity. It tries to change
- 23:27Speaker 2: your perspective. Just like Nigerians. We are used to it.
- 23:36Speaker 2: It's just four years. Let's let them. Four years like that.
- 23:43Speaker 2: much suffering. We have acclimatized. When an African Nigerian gets
- 23:53Speaker 2: to America, he sees men like trees. He's inferior. Meanwhile,
- 24:01Speaker 2: the only difference is melanin. Period. That's why I told
- 24:09Speaker 2: you it was the injured mind of Joseph that that
- 24:13Speaker 2: was making him beg that guy, when you come out,
- 24:15Speaker 2: bring me out. At least let me get a job
- 24:18Speaker 2: as a butler. Level one. But the original design is
- 24:23Speaker 2: that you are coming out to be the prime minister
- 24:25Speaker 2: that same day. It is not going to be by favor,
- 24:27Speaker 2: it will be by competence. Sometimes this aggression after favor
- 24:32Speaker 2: can be a product of a fractured mind. Just help me,
- 24:37Speaker 2: help me, just do anything for me, just bring me
- 24:39Speaker 2: out of this situation. About something like, just marry me
- 24:47Speaker 2: so I can live singleness. Do me a favor. Let
- 24:52Speaker 2: people even call me a missus. Ask your neighbor, do
- 24:57Speaker 2: you know who you are? Turn to another neighbor. Hold on.
- 25:05Speaker 2: Let me. Hold on. Let me say this. Amen. Even
- 25:12Speaker 2: if you are in the lowest point of your life
- 25:16Speaker 2: and God has raised people to do you a favor,
- 25:20Speaker 2: never feel worthless because they are doing you a favor. Listen,
- 25:23Speaker 2: the moment people know that you feel privileged to be
- 25:26Speaker 2: around them, they will manipulate you. They will. Never give
- 25:33Speaker 2: that privilege to anybody. When you meet the class of
- 25:37Speaker 2: people you have dreamt to meet all your life, always
- 25:39Speaker 2: greet them with your shoulders high. Pleased to meet you.
- 25:43Speaker 2: So good to see you. You are not pretending. You
- 25:47Speaker 2: are simply not seeing men as trees. Do you understand
- 25:50Speaker 2: what I'm saying? Are you sure? One of the signs
- 25:54Speaker 2: that you are seeing men as trees is over admiration. Ha!
- 26:01Speaker 2: You that have been seen inside tell me. Ha! Tell
- 26:08Speaker 2: your neighbor, wake up, wake up, wake up, wake up!
- 26:11Speaker 2: Wake up! When God lifts you and you feel too privileged,
- 26:17Speaker 2: people will call it luck. They will believe there is
- 26:20Speaker 2: no hard work that brought you there. And that level
- 26:23Speaker 2: will push you out. Is that okay now? Very important.
- 26:27Speaker 2: Tell your neighbor again, wake up. So I refuse to
- 26:35Speaker 2: see men as streets. How will Jesus open your eyes
- 26:40Speaker 2: and you are not seeing well? Are you saying Jesus
- 26:43Speaker 2: is not anointed? Somebody comes to propose to you, don't
- 26:52Speaker 2: see him as three. Look into his eyes. Sometimes, stare
- 26:59Speaker 2: at people in their eyes who separate fools from the wise.
- 27:03Speaker 2: I'm just shy. I don't know why I can't look
- 27:07Speaker 2: at you. I'm just shy. My body is giving me
- 27:11Speaker 2: one kind. Shoo. My hand do you. Look at him.
- 27:20Speaker 2: Shut up. Look at him. A boy was asking a girl.
- 27:25Speaker 2: You are the most beautiful girl I've seen. The girl
- 27:27Speaker 2: said my dad told me that this morning. How about that?
- 27:32Speaker 2: It was in my presence. Part one or part two.
- 27:35Speaker 2: I can't forget this one. We hanged around as the friend.
- 27:40Speaker 2: But when you describe that your friend is not behaving
- 27:41Speaker 2: like a fool, you leave him. He was talking to
- 27:45Speaker 2: that girl, Lucy. He was just giving his bars. He said,
- 27:50Speaker 2: you are this, I like you, I like you. I
- 27:52Speaker 2: told the girl, I like you. The girl, I've never
- 27:56Speaker 2: said it in my life. Some girls are wicked. She
- 27:58Speaker 2: placed her hands on his shoulder and said, Sam, go
- 28:01Speaker 2: and think about it again. You know what he said?
- 28:06Speaker 2: The reason why we left him was because he said, okay.
- 28:12Speaker 2: He said, okay. Hey, Jesus. Anyway, your delay. Okay. Never
- 28:23Speaker 2: admire people so much so that you abandon your uniqueness.
- 28:28Speaker 2: It is a sign that you have seen men like Jesus.
- 28:35Speaker 2: If God wanted only them, he would not have created you.
- 28:39Speaker 2: Say it again. I am important. You didn't say the word.
- 28:46Speaker 2: There's something I needed to feel. Say it again. I
- 28:50Speaker 2: am important. Say it loud and clear. I am important.
- 29:00Speaker 2: I am not ordinary. I am not to be pitied.
- 29:06Speaker 2: I'm not small. I'm not small. Are you small? Let
- 29:13Speaker 2: me say this to you. When the Israelites saw the Anakite,
- 29:17Speaker 2: look at their report. They said, we saw the Anakite there.
- 29:22Speaker 2: They said, we are like grasshoppers in our sight. And
- 29:25Speaker 2: so were we in their sight. Meaning that you perceive,
- 29:29Speaker 2: people see you the way you perceive yourself. If you
- 29:33Speaker 2: feel people are looking down on you, it's because it
- 29:35Speaker 2: is bearing witness with the way you see yourself. When
- 29:37Speaker 2: people call you names and you are hungry because it
- 29:40Speaker 2: is confirming your thoughts you know in Nigeria we ask
- 29:43Speaker 2: questions like are you a fool what is the response
- 29:47Speaker 2: no I'm not you call me fool there is agreement
- 29:54Speaker 2: and when there is no real power the response is
- 29:57Speaker 2: threatened Check any nation. The region where they fight the
- 30:02Speaker 2: most is the region where they are poorly educated. The
- 30:06Speaker 2: response of a poor man is to fight with Moses
- 30:09Speaker 2: when he should fight with wisdom. Say it again. I
- 30:13Speaker 2: am not small. I know who I am. This matter
- 30:18Speaker 2: is a serious matter. There are people who never dust
- 30:22Speaker 2: their certificate and knock at certain organizations because they feel
- 30:26Speaker 2: it's not for their kind. The church concluded that I
- 30:30Speaker 2: went to Southern South School. It's a polytechnic. It's not
- 30:35Speaker 2: my kind they are looking for. And they make up
- 30:37Speaker 2: their mind. They have not bounced them. They have bounced themselves.
- 30:42Speaker 2: What kind of life is that? I remember we were
- 30:47Speaker 2: posted to go serve. I got favor on camp. So
- 30:52Speaker 2: I chose where I would serve myself. And unfortunately I
- 30:57Speaker 2: went there with a girl. And she too was posted there.
- 31:00Speaker 2: And we sat down. It was the College of Health.
- 31:05Speaker 2: And they were asking, how many courses can you take?
- 31:09Speaker 2: Can you list the courses you can take? So I
- 31:12Speaker 2: listed the ones I could take. And the girl, the
- 31:15Speaker 2: Bible and the book they gave her, she was not right.
- 31:18Speaker 2: As the man came back, I saw the girl went
- 31:19Speaker 2: on her knees. Ah, what's going on? He said, please,
- 31:24Speaker 2: I don't mind being a cleaner. He said, I managed
- 31:29Speaker 2: to pass in school. So please, I don't mind. I
- 31:32Speaker 2: will wash the toilet. I will clean the floor. I
- 31:35Speaker 2: will clean everywhere. Please just accept me. So I called
- 31:39Speaker 2: the man. And I begged him. Please reject me. I
- 31:45Speaker 2: can't cope. I can't be coming here and seeing this
- 31:49Speaker 2: every day. So I begged for rejection and they rejected me.
- 31:54Speaker 2: What happened to that person? You disqualify yourself based on
- 31:57Speaker 2: your own perception of yourself. When you find yourself giving
- 32:01Speaker 2: people too much story about your past. Who asked you?
- 32:05Speaker 2: Because you feel it is bare before everyone. Based on self-perception. Trauma.
- 32:15Speaker 2: An injury. It's a fracture to the soul. And that's
- 32:26Speaker 2: what the devil wants to achieve. He wants to control you.
- 32:30Speaker 2: let me show you a scripture Psalms chapter number 11
- 32:35Speaker 2: Psalms chapter number 11 from verse 3 I'm going somewhere
- 32:43Speaker 2: tonight and by the time the meeting is over tonight
- 32:53Speaker 2: one thing will be our testimony Father thank you for
- 32:57Speaker 2: going back to my pastor and bringing me out Because
- 33:01Speaker 2: I'm just getting started. Psalms 11. Let's start from verse 2.
- 33:08Speaker 2: Let me read from Amplified. See. The wicked are bending
- 33:13Speaker 2: their bow. They make ready their harrow. Upon the string.
- 33:19Speaker 2: That they may. In darkness. May shoot. At the upright
- 33:26Speaker 2: in heart. Okay. What are they trying to attack? Verse 3.
- 33:31Speaker 2: If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do? So,
- 33:42Speaker 2: the devil wants to fight you before you know how
- 33:44Speaker 2: to fight. He wants to make sure that by the
- 33:49Speaker 2: time you are coming alive to consciousness, you are already disadvantaged. Alright?
- 33:54Speaker 2: But we are getting somewhere. What is the devil after?
- 33:58Speaker 2: Your foundations. It doesn't matter the intention and the amount
- 34:04Speaker 2: you have to build. Once the foundation is weak, it
- 34:07Speaker 2: will limit how far you can go. It will. It will.
- 34:18Speaker 2: Is there hope for anyone with bad or poor foundation?
- 34:24Speaker 2: I will show you. Yes, there is. At some point,
- 34:31Speaker 2: The one that was born in Don Quijote and the
- 34:35Speaker 2: one that has been sitting with princes will meet you.
- 34:41Speaker 2: Whether or not hands will cross depends on what they
- 34:43Speaker 2: have been doing with themselves. But I heard David said
- 34:48Speaker 2: that you have lifted me from Don Quijote and set
- 34:51Speaker 2: me among princes. You know when I sometimes just see
- 34:54Speaker 2: things happening you see children begging on the streets or
- 34:58Speaker 2: rolling tires in the rain And doing all those things.
- 35:02Speaker 2: And you see some others in good schools and doing
- 35:05Speaker 2: all that. At some point, they will meet. Who told
- 35:10Speaker 2: you that when you see people like that, they are finished?
- 35:15Speaker 2: Who told you that a man's background is the sum
- 35:19Speaker 2: total of his life? Who told you? Sometimes it's people
- 35:24Speaker 2: who are born in that condition that have hunger to ascend.
- 35:30Speaker 2: And the process of growth forms character in them. There's
- 35:35Speaker 2: nothing wrong with being born privileged. Just make sure you
- 35:38Speaker 2: have sense. Because you can lose all the privilege. Very important. Okay?
- 35:47Speaker 2: So sometimes, if you have been crying, I wish I
- 35:50Speaker 2: was born from this kind of family. I would have
- 35:52Speaker 2: done this better. Stop that. Stop that. When you truly
- 35:57Speaker 2: look closely, you will discover that there is no disadvantage
- 35:59Speaker 2: in any setting. You will not be who you are
- 36:04Speaker 2: today except that you went through what you went through.
- 36:07Speaker 2: And that process birthed certain characters and anointing in you
- 36:11Speaker 2: that will make you see life differently and make you compassionate.
- 36:16Speaker 2: Never sit down and cry and start pitying yourself. Oh,
- 36:19Speaker 2: I wish, I wish. Don't wish for anything. Take responsibility
- 36:25Speaker 2: with what you have in your hands. Are you following
- 36:28Speaker 2: what I'm saying here? Very important. Oh, I wish my
- 36:31Speaker 2: parents were together. I wish they didn't divorce. Oh, I
- 36:34Speaker 2: wish I was not raised by a grandmother. Oh, I
- 36:36Speaker 2: wish this. I wish that. God will never allow any
- 36:40Speaker 2: man go beyond what he can bear. He will not.
- 36:47Speaker 2: Settle down. You will discover that even in the parables
- 36:51Speaker 2: of your life, a contact point of grace, things that
- 36:54Speaker 2: God made available that is the exclusive preserve of your kind.
- 37:01Speaker 2: To give you an edge. You are not your background.
- 37:07Speaker 2: You are not your mother. You are not your dad.
- 37:10Speaker 2: You will not repeat your mistakes. You must tell yourself that.
- 37:17Speaker 2: God has brought you out. Set you apart. Because he's intentional.
- 37:21Speaker 2: There's something he's doing. He's specific. He's deliberate. You may cry.
- 37:26Speaker 2: Or you are being formed. It is okay to cry sometimes.
- 37:32Speaker 2: Some people may look at you and take advantage of
- 37:34Speaker 2: you and use you and despise you. In fact, maybe
- 37:38Speaker 2: you have been going through settings where everywhere you get
- 37:41Speaker 2: to in life, people look down on you. Don't worry.
- 37:44Speaker 2: Life is not easy for the blind. There are people
- 37:47Speaker 2: that only sees when the light shines. But there are
- 37:50Speaker 2: those who can spot it miles ahead. You don't get
- 37:54Speaker 2: gold on the surface. You dig now to find it.
- 37:59Speaker 2: But you are not going to emerge until you stop crying.
- 38:04Speaker 2: Listen to what I'm saying. Nobody walks in pity and
- 38:08Speaker 2: change their life. People will match you where you are.
- 38:14Speaker 2: They will take advantage of you. You want to share
- 38:17Speaker 2: your story with everybody. Some will use it against you.
- 38:21Speaker 2: So you must learn to be strong. Tell your neighbor,
- 38:24Speaker 2: be strong. Look at another neighbor and say, be strong.
- 38:32Speaker 2: Sometimes some boys will come to your life And say,
- 38:34Speaker 2: I like you until he discovers the kind of family
- 38:37Speaker 2: you are coming from. Just when you tell him, this
- 38:43Speaker 2: is the condition in my family, he runs. That simply
- 38:49Speaker 2: means that that family condition has been a system that
- 38:53Speaker 2: is seeking fools from you. It may not be pleasant,
- 38:57Speaker 2: but it is doing a good job. Are you with me?
- 39:03Speaker 2: look to another neighbor again and say, be strong. So,
- 39:10Speaker 2: the devil likes to attack things from the root. Because
- 39:21Speaker 2: when you get anything from the root, you set a
- 39:25Speaker 2: tempo for it. Um, Are you with me? I want
- 39:32Speaker 2: to try to explain what I'm saying. It is difficult
- 39:37Speaker 2: to join a vehicle that is moving and drive it.
- 39:41Speaker 2: The driver has to join the vehicle before it moves.
- 39:45Speaker 2: When the vehicle is already moving, whoever is in charge
- 39:47Speaker 2: is in charge. So, The devil wants to join himself
- 39:52Speaker 2: so that he can be in charge and steer the
- 39:55Speaker 2: wheel of your life. That's what he wants to do. Okay?
- 39:59Speaker 2: He wants to get in and from and create chaos.
- 40:05Speaker 2: Let me tell you the way the devil operates. The
- 40:07Speaker 2: devil is not omnipresent. He is not a man or
- 40:14Speaker 2: an individual, not a man, who is causing chaos all
- 40:17Speaker 2: over the world. But he's not everywhere at every time.
- 40:20Speaker 2: The only way he can do so is to be strategic.
- 40:23Speaker 2: Do you understand what I'm saying? They said to somebody,
- 40:26Speaker 2: you have slept with a 10-year-old girl. Why did you
- 40:28Speaker 2: do it? It's not the devil. He only created the temple.
- 40:33Speaker 2: You will run with it. It is seed. It will germinate.
- 40:39Speaker 2: Because he may never have your time again. Just make
- 40:42Speaker 2: sure you plant it there at the time you plant it.
- 40:44Speaker 2: Don't worry. The harvest is sure. So it's not the devil.
- 40:48Speaker 2: Once you understand way this system works then you will
- 40:52Speaker 2: know that okay this is a seed system we can
- 40:56Speaker 2: kill it from the root so we can terminate the
- 40:58Speaker 2: harvest it's as simple as that okay so the devil
- 41:03Speaker 2: wants to get into homes is really all out against
- 41:08Speaker 2: families we need to understand this because this is the
- 41:12Speaker 2: smallest but the most functional unit of the society As
- 41:18Speaker 2: goes the families, so goes the society. Okay? So, he
- 41:24Speaker 2: wants to infiltrate the system with ideas, with dysfunctionalities, with pain,
- 41:32Speaker 2: so that the children that will be born from those
- 41:34Speaker 2: systems will be born defective. One of the things environment
- 41:42Speaker 2: does is that it also communicates possibilities. Your environment does
- 41:51Speaker 2: not just show you a reality, it shows you a possibility.
- 41:54Speaker 2: So let me explain. If a child grows up from
- 41:59Speaker 2: a family where the father slapping the mother, dragging on
- 42:05Speaker 2: the floor is a regular thing. Even when the child
- 42:10Speaker 2: hates the father with passion and swears that I will
- 42:17Speaker 2: never do this in my life. that child still has
- 42:21Speaker 2: the likelihood of doing it compared to the one who
- 42:23Speaker 2: didn't see it. Because it will get to where it
- 42:28Speaker 2: will get to. It will say, maybe this is why
- 42:30Speaker 2: they beat women. Why? Because seeing it has communicated that
- 42:35Speaker 2: it is what? Possible. Tell your neighbor, be careful of
- 42:39Speaker 2: what you see. Are you seeing that now? So, what
- 42:45Speaker 2: is the devil doing? making sure that seeds are planted
- 42:49Speaker 2: where there is dysfunctionalities, where there is issues, where there
- 42:52Speaker 2: is confusion, where there is chaos, so they can carry
- 42:55Speaker 2: that seed. Sometimes the attack is actually not all those things.
- 43:03Speaker 2: The attack is growing up in a setting where there
- 43:05Speaker 2: is so much depravity. And that's why our role in
- 43:10Speaker 2: the society is beyond just churchgoers. If we say we
- 43:14Speaker 2: have revival in Nigeria, we must enter the society now
- 43:17Speaker 2: for transformation. If not, we are all sitting on the
- 43:22Speaker 2: keg of a gunpowder. The people we ignore on the streets,
- 43:26Speaker 2: when it gets to where it will get to, they
- 43:27Speaker 2: will say the only way out is that I will
- 43:29Speaker 2: avenge all the suffering I've gone through. I will kill
- 43:32Speaker 2: these people and they will taste a bit of my pain.
- 43:35Speaker 2: That's how people become adined. Spread love. Spread healing. Spread
- 43:41Speaker 2: the wave. Okay? Spread the wave. Unfortunately now, everybody suspects everybody.
- 43:52Speaker 2: Everybody suspects everybody. Let's see somebody and just hug the person.
- 43:59Speaker 2: So good to see you. It's becoming increasingly difficult to
- 44:05Speaker 2: give love. Because of the defect in our society. Particularly
- 44:11Speaker 2: in Nigeria. Nigeria. Everything is hard. Including pastors. I've become hard.
- 44:22Speaker 2: And the anointing can take the posture of your dysfunctionality.
- 44:28Speaker 2: And I've seen it. I've seen it. It's a journey
- 44:30Speaker 2: I had to go through. That your kind of background
- 44:33Speaker 2: can affect the way the church looks. Yes. Your background
- 44:37Speaker 2: does not just affect your family. It can affect the church. Yes.
- 44:41Speaker 2: That because you are not healed, you will bleed on
- 44:42Speaker 2: all the members. And you can call it faith. Faith talking.
- 44:48Speaker 2: If you think you can come to the church late,
- 44:50Speaker 2: you get out. This is not your father's house. Where
- 44:54Speaker 2: is he talking from? What he has seen. That's not
- 44:58Speaker 2: the Holy Ghost. That's not Jesus. And that's not faith.
- 45:02Speaker 2: Because faith functions through love. That's upbringing. And you can
- 45:12Speaker 2: get a calling around it. And get scriptures around it.
- 45:16Speaker 2: I'm saying these things are so deep, they can affect
- 45:18Speaker 2: your entire life. And where is the devil? Just from
- 45:21Speaker 2: the beginning, just planted the seed. And he will leave.
- 45:24Speaker 2: He will leave, sorry. The good man planted his seed
- 45:27Speaker 2: and went his way. The devil will plant his own
- 45:29Speaker 2: seed and leave too. This is the result. It will
- 45:33Speaker 2: come to this, it will come to that. okay I
- 45:46Speaker 2: want to say something but I'm going to say it
- 45:54Speaker 2: sir what I want to say fact check okay and
- 46:01Speaker 2: those of you who have traveled different countries that you
- 46:03Speaker 2: can bear witness with this go and check When you
- 46:10Speaker 2: travel to some countries, you'll be shocked. Is it the
- 46:13Speaker 2: same way it goes in Nigeria? Nigeria. Because of the
- 46:22Speaker 2: hardness of both your heart and the pastor. In order
- 46:25Speaker 2: to receive, you will collect. Come here. You know, a
- 46:30Speaker 2: pastor was going to impart me. And then I was stubborn.
- 46:37Speaker 2: So as he was coming to lay hands. I stood
- 46:40Speaker 2: like this. This impartation. I pushed my head. I was
- 46:47Speaker 2: pushing my head to his hand. If I fall here.
- 46:51Speaker 2: My siblings will laugh. And they will say. The man
- 46:56Speaker 2: lay hands. Put me. I stood. Later he started turning me.
- 47:00Speaker 2: When my eye turned. I said now I shall lie down.
- 47:08Speaker 2: So I lay down. And the man said something like,
- 47:11Speaker 2: it's a stubborn spirit. It's not a stubborn spirit. If
- 47:14Speaker 2: the spirit is stubborn, both of us are stubborn. But
- 47:19Speaker 2: you'll be amazed that just step to other places. Just worship.
- 47:27Speaker 2: People are already crying. Nigeria, you are still two hours
- 47:34Speaker 2: away from the Holy Ghost. Why is he doing this?
- 47:39Speaker 2: These people are faking it. One of my friends was
- 47:42Speaker 2: explaining when he traveled to Texas. And he saw people worshiping.
- 47:46Speaker 2: In the worship, they were carrying balloons. And they were singing. Balloon. Hey. Yeah.
- 48:01Speaker 2: And they were under the anointing. He said that was
- 48:04Speaker 2: when it occurred to him that his heart was hard. Ah,
- 48:09Speaker 2: you have faced problems and those things have formed sediments
- 48:15Speaker 2: on the layers of your heart that now become stuff
- 48:17Speaker 2: to see God and to perceive the reality. You have
- 48:22Speaker 2: seen life. Look at the things you have survived. Only you.
- 48:26Speaker 2: When you share your story, they can make 20 days
- 48:28Speaker 2: of newspaper. You have seen life. That's why we don't
- 48:33Speaker 2: perceive God on time. Because sometimes, that's why I say
- 48:37Speaker 2: I've said this. Whether in the church or in the society.
- 48:40Speaker 2: We will come back to this truth. The generation that
- 48:42Speaker 2: will question things. Will be the ones that will break through.
- 48:44Speaker 2: I had to start asking. Why is it that for
- 48:47Speaker 2: Holy Ghost to move in meetings. We will have to
- 48:49Speaker 2: gather like seven. Holy Ghost fire. Holy Ghost fire. Holy
- 48:54Speaker 2: Ghost fire. It's a dimension. But later I found out.
- 49:04Speaker 2: That prophecy is not epilepsy. You don't have to roll
- 49:07Speaker 2: on the floor to speak. When will you stand before
- 49:09Speaker 2: kings to prophesy? Apologies. If that's the one you know,
- 49:15Speaker 2: I'm saying it's not about God. It's the layer of
- 49:18Speaker 2: your heart. So when we get to places where we
- 49:22Speaker 2: see people are not doing all those struggles, we are
- 49:24Speaker 2: surprised that all these American preachers, they are not as
- 49:27Speaker 2: anointed as we are. I'm saying, I think it will
- 49:34Speaker 2: take Nigerians longer to adjust to heaven. Laughter Long. Do
- 49:41Speaker 2: you know what you have survived? Since 1960. We are
- 49:47Speaker 2: building it. In this country, you survive one. They say
- 49:52Speaker 2: this is the worst there can ever be. Another one
- 49:54Speaker 2: will come. We keep building survival methods. Nigerians should be studied.
- 50:05Speaker 2: Like we should be isolated, studied as specimens. But I'm
- 50:09Speaker 2: saying that these things are forming layers. You will have
- 50:13Speaker 2: to clear those things and choose, I will love. That
- 50:21Speaker 2: we can hold hands truly and there's connection. Check now,
- 50:25Speaker 2: even in church, when we say join us to a neighbor,
- 50:27Speaker 2: the neighbor is squeezing your hand. There's no feelings. It's forgotten.
- 50:32Speaker 2: I'm not even know what I'm talking about. Have you
- 50:37Speaker 2: heard that with the neighbor you are praying? Pastor, please
- 50:39Speaker 2: wrap up the prayer. Because the neighbor can be touched.
- 50:48Speaker 2: It's trauma. And it's happening to all of us. Gradually, gradually.
- 50:53Speaker 2: We are not normal again. You don't believe that now
- 51:00Speaker 2: we are used to driving and seeing dead bodies on
- 51:02Speaker 2: the road. And say, who is that? Oh, they will
- 51:06Speaker 2: carry day one, day two. How have you gotten used
- 51:10Speaker 2: to that? And the more we experience these things, the
- 51:15Speaker 2: less we perceive God. Betrayals, heartbreaks, different things. We've survived
- 51:24Speaker 2: so much. Touch your heart. Place your hands on your chest. Say,
- 51:33Speaker 2: I have plenty love to give. Say it again. I
- 51:42Speaker 2: have plenty love. Say it one more time. I have
- 51:47Speaker 2: plenty love to give. I'm a love bean. I'm a
- 51:50Speaker 2: love bean. Amen. Sometimes I see videos online where a
- 51:58Speaker 2: woman has gone to heat with her own children and
- 52:01Speaker 2: the house health And the children will be eating meat pie,
- 52:05Speaker 2: drinking things, and they give the outside a bottle of water.
- 52:09Speaker 2: And I used to ask myself, you can own today,
- 52:13Speaker 2: but who told you that you own tomorrow? Things change.
- 52:17Speaker 2: The beggar will be lifted from donkey hill and set
- 52:20Speaker 2: among princes. Some of us used to be driven from
- 52:23Speaker 2: seat where they put dignitaries. But who is he that
- 52:27Speaker 2: has spoken when God has not said it? Hands do cross.
- 52:32Speaker 2: It won't go forever. Let me tell you something. You
- 52:37Speaker 2: might be going through a situation where there is no
- 52:39Speaker 2: word with which you can get hope and encouragement. Hold
- 52:42Speaker 2: on to God. Okay. Hold on to God. Hallelujah. Amen. Say,
- 52:53Speaker 2: my emotions are healed. At some point as a pastor,
- 53:03Speaker 2: I did not know that my heart has been battered.
- 53:08Speaker 2: You know, in ministry you can have PTSD. That people
- 53:12Speaker 2: can betray you and from that moment you can no
- 53:16Speaker 2: longer perceive people right. You can get to a point
- 53:20Speaker 2: where you are greeting everybody but you are not letting
- 53:22Speaker 2: them into your heart. Just so you don't betray me.
- 53:27Speaker 2: I don't want to give you too much because I
- 53:29Speaker 2: don't want to go through what I went through. Let
- 53:31Speaker 2: me explain a concept. I love boxing. I trained in
- 53:36Speaker 2: boxing until somebody beat me.
- 53:40Speaker 1: Up.
- 53:40Speaker 2: So, somebody was explaining. Please, don't forget what I want
- 53:45Speaker 2: to tell you, okay? It's a very powerful concept. Two boxers. So,
- 53:49Speaker 2: let me, Pastor Toby, please come. So, let's assume that. So,
- 53:55Speaker 2: the guy, okay, let's say I'm the guy. And then
- 53:58Speaker 2: he's about to fight another guy, Anthony Joshua. In a
- 54:01Speaker 2: real sense, he was talking about him. So they asked him,
- 54:04Speaker 2: what's your game plan? He said, I'm going to beat him.
- 54:07Speaker 2: He said, because I discovered that the last time he
- 54:10Speaker 2: gave his best was when he fought Vladimir Klitschko. He said,
- 54:14Speaker 2: after that fight, he said, he has become something else.
- 54:18Speaker 2: Though he won the fight. Listen to what I want
- 54:20Speaker 2: to show you. This guy won the fight. But the
- 54:24Speaker 2: guy he fought took him to a realm in that
- 54:28Speaker 2: fight that both of them digged it. That From that
- 54:32Speaker 2: day going forward, this guy is afraid of ever touching
- 54:35Speaker 2: that rim again. You can win and still not want
- 54:41Speaker 2: repetition because of the pain. So, and they now analyze
- 54:47Speaker 2: and say, when boxers get there, they're already rounding up. Okay?
- 54:53Speaker 2: So he said that's his game plan. I've seen it.
- 54:55Speaker 2: After that, this person beat him, beat him, beat him.
- 54:57Speaker 2: But so when these two now fought, eventually this guy
- 55:01Speaker 2: won again. So when he was talking, he said, it's
- 55:04Speaker 2: about the mind. It's about the mind. We can pick
- 55:10Speaker 2: many lessons from these things. People can take you in
- 55:13Speaker 2: a realm to a level in that you discover a
- 55:16Speaker 2: kind of heart and you will not know you have
- 55:20Speaker 2: made a decision. I will not let anybody into this
- 55:24Speaker 2: place again. If care is not taken, including your spouse, yes,
- 55:32Speaker 2: Do you know you can give your body and yet
- 55:34Speaker 2: not your all? Yes. Where your heart is, is far.
- 55:42Speaker 2: You can get to a point where you are anticipating
- 55:45Speaker 2: disappointment from people. I know it's just a matter of time.
- 55:49Speaker 2: They are all the same. So, let me protect myself.
- 55:56Speaker 2: And when we get there, we don't really go through
- 55:59Speaker 2: life enjoying all that God has for us. Because you
- 56:04Speaker 2: are busy defending and defecting. And what is going to
- 56:09Speaker 2: happen is that in the course of doing that, you
- 56:12Speaker 2: will not know you are betting pain. You are hurting people.
- 56:16Speaker 2: They want to love you. But you are not allowing them.
- 56:20Speaker 2: They want to show you they care. But there is
- 56:22Speaker 2: no road to your heart. And I discovered that as
- 56:26Speaker 2: we climb the ladder in life, that's the more this happens.
- 56:31Speaker 2: We become less persons and more of personalities. That we
- 56:35Speaker 2: have found professional ways to address everybody. Hello, too good
- 56:38Speaker 2: to see you. Pleased to meet you. That person is
- 56:41Speaker 2: far from you as the heaven is to the earth.
- 56:46Speaker 2: That you talk to people. There is a conversation. But
- 56:50Speaker 2: there is no heart connection. How did we get there? Why?
- 56:57Speaker 2: It's fear. Fear of disappointment. Fear of pain. Let me
- 57:05Speaker 2: tell you this. Thank you. Love, in its essence, is vulnerability.
- 57:16Speaker 2: Any love that is not vulnerable is not love. It
- 57:24Speaker 2: is vulnerability, not stupidity. If I say I love you,
- 57:27Speaker 2: I'm saying I'm giving you the privilege to hurt me
- 57:30Speaker 2: if you want to. I am. Oh God, help us.
- 57:40Speaker 2: I ask that there be a wave of healing. There
- 57:49Speaker 2: must be. Even in Nigerian church, people are hurt. I
- 57:55Speaker 2: saw the news. saw the trend. And I said to myself,
- 58:05Speaker 2: we are starting a new cycle. A generation that have
- 58:09Speaker 2: been struggling to believe that the church can be trusted.
- 58:13Speaker 2: There we go again. I have studied it. Nobody hates church.
- 58:31Speaker 2: Call me anywhere. Nobody hates church. And that's why when
- 58:37Speaker 2: I talk to atheists, I don't talk to them about
- 58:39Speaker 2: Jesus first. I talk to them about healing. How did
- 58:44Speaker 2: you get here? What happened? You lost something that made
- 58:48Speaker 2: you believe God can be alive and this is happening.
- 58:50Speaker 2: Let's talk about it. And every time we touch there,
- 58:54Speaker 2: we always come back with healing. And you discover that
- 58:58Speaker 2: the person who never laughs is now laughing and smiling
- 59:02Speaker 2: and crying. You see their vulnerability. It's hidden there, covered
- 59:08Speaker 2: with layers of muzzles. and six packs, but they are there.
- 59:18Speaker 2: And sometimes when we talk about church hurt, it is
- 59:21Speaker 2: a pastor who is hurt that is also hurting the
- 59:23Speaker 2: person who is hurt. It is a cycle. I feel
- 59:30Speaker 2: there has to be a platform where preachers can be
- 59:33Speaker 2: vulnerable and get healing. Because this anointing makes people feel
- 59:39Speaker 2: we don't need healing. But I don't think there's anyone
- 59:42Speaker 2: who needs help like a pastor. And every person you
- 59:49Speaker 2: see around, you don't know what will happen tomorrow. And
- 59:51Speaker 2: you are just hoping. I hope you'll still be there.
- 59:55Speaker 2: Things can happen. and every opportunity I have to sit
- 1:00:06Speaker 2: with fathers in the body of Christ beyond their smiles
- 1:00:11Speaker 2: I look at them and I see their scars sometimes
- 1:00:15Speaker 2: I ask myself how are you still able to love
- 1:00:19Speaker 2: with all these scars can you be touched with what
- 1:00:25Speaker 2: touches others do you still have What's your conclusion about relationships?
- 1:00:35Speaker 2: You no longer believe in having best friends. Why? You've
- 1:00:40Speaker 2: been betrayed. You met a wrong person. Not a wrong institution.
- 1:00:47Speaker 2: Just a wrong person. Dust yourself. Get back again. And
- 1:00:56Speaker 2: love again. One way you can silence those who have
- 1:01:00Speaker 2: hurt you in the past is to love again. Never
- 1:01:03Speaker 2: give anybody the impression that they are so important you
- 1:01:07Speaker 2: can't find a replacement. You hurt me. People say, this
- 1:01:15Speaker 2: space in your life is vacant. I'm never going to
- 1:01:17Speaker 2: put anybody there because you are simply saying that person
- 1:01:21Speaker 2: is too important. Nobody deserves this space. They are leaving
- 1:01:24Speaker 2: a rent free in your head. Including your ex. From
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: that moment When anybody asks you for your phone number
- 1:01:36Speaker 2: You block it Men has come Don't forget that men
- 1:01:48Speaker 2: are plenty Okay Amen Are you with me? I see
- 1:02:04Speaker 2: God doing surgeries and healing hearts, mending wounds again. You know,
- 1:02:16Speaker 2: I think about life and at some point I said,
- 1:02:21Speaker 2: when I was planning to get married, I said, my
- 1:02:23Speaker 2: wife was recommending, let's read these books about relationships. I
- 1:02:27Speaker 2: read all those books and I felt there's no book
- 1:02:29Speaker 2: that is addressing me Because everybody writes from the perspective
- 1:02:34Speaker 2: of the fact that we're all starting from a good point.
- 1:02:37Speaker 2: There's no book for my kind who did not even
- 1:02:40Speaker 2: know how to love. And I've said some things that
- 1:02:51Speaker 2: sometimes when you find people who are saying we can't
- 1:02:56Speaker 2: get our hands off each other, we're in a relationship
- 1:02:58Speaker 2: but this Somebody simply doesn't know how to love. You
- 1:03:05Speaker 2: are too broken. The only way you can express love
- 1:03:07Speaker 2: is to touch. Because you've not seen a real definition.
- 1:03:18Speaker 2: That's what is happening. Chances are very high that you
- 1:03:25Speaker 2: are a Christian today, except for a few. Because you
- 1:03:28Speaker 2: were born in the Christian home. So you had more,
- 1:03:32Speaker 2: better chances. Right? For accepting Jesus from children's church. Because
- 1:03:37Speaker 2: you've always been around the church. There might be people
- 1:03:39Speaker 2: who were born in Muslim families. And then God brought
- 1:03:41Speaker 2: them up somewhere else. You can't look at your advantages
- 1:03:47Speaker 2: and talk down others. You can't. You can't do that.
- 1:03:54Speaker 2: Four days ago makes it 15 years of preaching. Because
- 1:04:00Speaker 2: I sat down and I was counting losses. I remembered
- 1:04:06Speaker 2: this person. We didn't win. We didn't win. We met.
- 1:04:14Speaker 2: We said we were going in a direction that you
- 1:04:15Speaker 2: will not repeat the pattern of your parents. But I
- 1:04:18Speaker 2: couldn't carry the person out. We don't always win sometimes.
- 1:04:22Speaker 2: We have casualties. Just like the hospital. We have issues.
- 1:04:27Speaker 2: We have cases. We have cases. When you go for
- 1:04:30Speaker 2: healing meetings and see people coming out with wheelchair, carrying wheelchair,
- 1:04:33Speaker 2: there are people who still go back with their wheelchairs
- 1:04:35Speaker 2: after the meeting. Any genuine preacher will go back to
- 1:04:39Speaker 2: God and cry his eyes out. How about these ones?
- 1:04:45Speaker 2: Sometimes I sit with people and I hear their stories.
- 1:04:49Speaker 2: Would I have done better? Do you know what it
- 1:04:55Speaker 2: means to be born in a home where your father
- 1:04:57Speaker 2: hates you? Like you will remind him of his sins.
- 1:05:02Speaker 2: Because you were born out of wedlock. And he used
- 1:05:06Speaker 2: every opportunity to show you how worthless you are. The
- 1:05:13Speaker 2: image of love and protection is compromised. And you see
- 1:05:20Speaker 2: this girl in marriage and you are expecting... Because the
- 1:05:26Speaker 2: devil fought her before she could learn how to fight.
- 1:05:32Speaker 2: And we have to talk about that. And that's why
- 1:05:38Speaker 2: God needs to give us more kind men. That you
- 1:05:43Speaker 2: can know a girl's woes and cover her. I will
- 1:05:48Speaker 2: be the father you never had. Serious. Bless God for testimonies.
- 1:05:59Speaker 2: Sometimes I can't but remember Sometimes I stay awake till 2am,
- 1:06:05Speaker 2: 3am with names of people who had left the ministry
- 1:06:11Speaker 2: at some point who got offended. Are you still there?
- 1:06:16Speaker 2: Are you fine? Are you doing well? I prefer to
- 1:06:21Speaker 2: look like a fake pastor because you are doing better
- 1:06:24Speaker 2: without me than to look original because you are grounded.
- 1:06:26Speaker 2: I prefer that. Do you really listen to people's stories?
- 1:06:35Speaker 2: Do you take your time to connect to people's realities?
- 1:06:43Speaker 2: Have you any idea that your home is not all
- 1:06:46Speaker 2: that exists? And what we are talking about is real.
- 1:06:54Speaker 2: Some people don't know what a home looks like. They
- 1:07:00Speaker 2: grew up in a house Not a womb. How about
- 1:07:08Speaker 2: the one that was raped for years by her father?
- 1:07:13Speaker 2: Watching the story of a girl 17 years old. The
- 1:07:20Speaker 2: elder brother has been sleeping with her I think for
- 1:07:24Speaker 2: 7 years and the father for 5 years. And the
- 1:07:31Speaker 2: both of them knew that they were sleeping with her.
- 1:07:33Speaker 2: the mother had left. And now she had given birth
- 1:07:37Speaker 2: to a girl for the elder brother. Now that's dysfunctionality.
- 1:07:45Speaker 2: Is there a gospel for this kind? Is there a peer? Yes,
- 1:07:49Speaker 2: there is. Because there's a generation that must rise and say,
- 1:07:54Speaker 2: we are not leaving anyone behind. Doesn't matter how bad
- 1:07:57Speaker 2: it gets. When we do our church thing, some people
- 1:08:01Speaker 2: don't feel among We don't connect. Don't you get it?
- 1:08:06Speaker 2: When we have our meetings where we jest, we look
- 1:08:09Speaker 2: like one of the kind, the privileged ones. The son
- 1:08:15Speaker 2: of so-and-so general vassal, the daughter of so-and-so general vassal
- 1:08:18Speaker 2: coming together to get married. The privileged ones. And they
- 1:08:27Speaker 2: look in the shadows and look at us. And you
- 1:08:31Speaker 2: talk to them like they are so far away. Just feel.
- 1:08:37Speaker 2: I'm not like you. Maybe God hated me. That's why
- 1:08:40Speaker 2: I was born where I was born. Even pastors now
- 1:08:48Speaker 2: will check. Are you married from a good home? If
- 1:08:53Speaker 2: you pastored well, their home should have changed. A pastor
- 1:08:59Speaker 2: will say you can't marry so and so that you
- 1:09:01Speaker 2: have pastored for 30 years because it is not prestigious. Oh, sorry.
- 1:09:08Speaker 2: You know we don't say these things in the body
- 1:09:12Speaker 2: of Christ. Sorry. I've sat down to observe many Christian programs.
- 1:09:27Speaker 2: It's just us for ourselves. We use our language. Bro,
- 1:09:33Speaker 2: not Kali. In this church, if you hear anybody call bro,
- 1:09:37Speaker 2: the person is new. We've broken those protocols. Because bro
- 1:09:41Speaker 2: takes you far away. Some boys, they don't use that
- 1:09:47Speaker 2: language here. Then they stepped it up. Mama, that me.
- 1:09:53Speaker 2: Religion Shah wants to speak. We can't help it. Please
- 1:09:58Speaker 2: be seated. Are you with me? Are you sure? Sorry.
- 1:10:19Speaker 2: Studied it. It's like there are people we don't have
- 1:10:22Speaker 2: in our plan. They are not captured in our curriculum
- 1:10:26Speaker 2: for the year. It's for everyone but them. Even our
- 1:10:38Speaker 2: marriage counselling. Have you any idea that life doesn't revolve
- 1:10:46Speaker 2: around you? People have their own realities. Deep ones. And
- 1:10:57Speaker 2: when we come down to this point and raise people up,
- 1:11:01Speaker 2: you know what people say? They say they are building
- 1:11:03Speaker 2: user-friendly church. Should the church be user's enemy? Amen. Amen.
- 1:11:26Speaker 2: Help us. That we will be able to love again.
- 1:11:32Speaker 2: That's the prayer. Say it loud and clear. I am
- 1:11:38Speaker 2: a love being. Hope you know. That the same way
- 1:11:45Speaker 2: you are growing up. Doesn't matter the complaints. And the
- 1:11:49Speaker 2: schools you went to. Somebody went to a great issue.
- 1:11:54Speaker 2: I am complaining. I am going to a great issue.
- 1:12:03Speaker 2: There are people who Pay with half of their life
- 1:12:07Speaker 2: If they have the opportunity To have that name On
- 1:12:11Speaker 2: their certificate Okay, so I wanted to Actually I was
- 1:12:18Speaker 2: going to narrow from the foundation To talking about childhood
- 1:12:21Speaker 2: traumas And how that is one of the most potent
- 1:12:24Speaker 2: things The devil used to fight people So let me
- 1:12:27Speaker 2: just Can I jump a bit? So I can begin
- 1:12:30Speaker 2: to tie this up now. Okay? Are you being blessed?
- 1:12:36Speaker 2: Are you sure? So I wrote here, the devil finds
- 1:12:40Speaker 2: ways to fight, to begin healthy with people, trying to
- 1:12:44Speaker 2: make sure that regardless of their fighting spirit, they are
- 1:12:47Speaker 2: starting off on a disadvantaged ground. That's what the devil
- 1:12:51Speaker 2: tries to make them to do. Regardless of how you
- 1:12:54Speaker 2: try to fight later, you start from a disadvantaged ground.
- 1:13:04Speaker 2: through unhealthy or dysfunctional backgrounds. Simply put, the people you
- 1:13:15Speaker 2: call criminals, if they were born by your parents, they
- 1:13:18Speaker 2: would not be. Most of them would not have been.
- 1:13:21Speaker 2: They are victims of their environment. If they are better,
- 1:13:26Speaker 2: they will do better. Are you with me? Children are
- 1:13:33Speaker 2: born blank. Whatever the background is becomes the filter through
- 1:13:40Speaker 2: which they perceive life and approach life. The background becomes
- 1:13:46Speaker 2: the filter through which they perceive life and approach life.
- 1:13:53Speaker 2: And one way the devil successfully plot attack, are you
- 1:13:56Speaker 2: with me? One way devils hopefully plot and launch attack
- 1:14:00Speaker 2: against lives of people is by fighting them from their roots.
- 1:14:05Speaker 2: Fight parents but you are actually fighting their seeds. Growing
- 1:14:19Speaker 2: in a dysfunctional background is so bad because dysfunctionality becomes
- 1:14:24Speaker 2: the first exposure of the child. So I wrote five
- 1:14:32Speaker 2: things here. I'm just going to go through them. Traits
- 1:14:38Speaker 2: of children who are traumatized or people who are still
- 1:14:42Speaker 2: struggling with childhood trauma. And don't trivialize what I'm saying.
- 1:14:51Speaker 2: That there is somebody somewhere who is there only with
- 1:14:53Speaker 2: a perception because of something somebody said when the person
- 1:14:55Speaker 2: was five years old. We've been exposed to different kinds
- 1:15:01Speaker 2: of people. Most amongst them are those that the devil
- 1:15:04Speaker 2: used to launch a direct attack at certain aspects of
- 1:15:08Speaker 2: our futures. Releasing words that may not go away in
- 1:15:10Speaker 2: the hurry. Okay? Are you with me? I'm obviously remembering
- 1:15:16Speaker 2: things people said to you while you were young and
- 1:15:18Speaker 2: you have not forgotten. Is there anyone here? Let me
- 1:15:20Speaker 2: see your answer. Ah. It's happening. It's happening. It's happening.
- 1:15:31Speaker 2: Number one, individuals who are struggling with childhood trauma find
- 1:15:36Speaker 2: it difficult to stand up for themselves. They are scared.
- 1:15:47Speaker 2: They avoid conflict, not because they are peaceful, but because
- 1:15:52Speaker 2: they are scared. And that fear Leads them to isolation.
- 1:16:06Speaker 2: Contact with people can be hurting. So they are isolated.
- 1:16:11Speaker 2: When they are isolated. They get to their caves. And
- 1:16:15Speaker 2: the devil gives them toys. Addictions. Substance use. Something that
- 1:16:23Speaker 2: makes them feel among again. That's what happens. Number two.
- 1:16:32Speaker 2: People struggling with childhood trauma grow up to become people pleasers.
- 1:16:37Speaker 2: They want to please everybody. They want to manage people's
- 1:16:42Speaker 2: ego for them. They want to manage everybody's esteem at
- 1:16:46Speaker 2: the expense of yourself. Some people are dating narcissists. They
- 1:16:55Speaker 2: are self-absorbed individuals and they will make you feel bad
- 1:16:59Speaker 2: and you say it's true and bad. It takes a
- 1:17:04Speaker 2: level of being battered to hang around your abusers consistently.
- 1:17:08Speaker 2: That's not patience. That's bad esteem. Don't give people the
- 1:17:15Speaker 2: impression that you are a rag. I've related with people
- 1:17:22Speaker 2: that nobody has ever walked out of their lives and
- 1:17:24Speaker 2: I did. You can't put me down at the expense
- 1:17:29Speaker 2: of because of your ego. I will not be abused.
- 1:17:35Speaker 2: You cannot walk out of abusive relationships. You have friends
- 1:17:43Speaker 2: who will always talk about themselves and shut down your dreams.
- 1:17:46Speaker 2: When you say anything, they shut it down and they
- 1:17:48Speaker 2: talk about their own. And every time you leave them,
- 1:17:53Speaker 2: you go back doubting your very essence. Or you keep
- 1:17:57Speaker 2: going back. The love of a slave and the trade
- 1:18:00Speaker 2: of a slave master. This world is a wicked place.
- 1:18:09Speaker 2: The moment people see that they can control you, they will.
- 1:18:15Speaker 2: Don't be that nice. Be kind. That's the fruit of
- 1:18:20Speaker 2: the Spirit. But I didn't see niceness there. Okay? You
- 1:18:29Speaker 2: are a guy who is just starting life. And you
- 1:18:31Speaker 2: are dating this girl that every time you want to
- 1:18:33Speaker 2: go out, she brings all her friends. Yes. And right there,
- 1:18:37Speaker 2: you're already bringing money from UBA. So you can pay
- 1:18:40Speaker 2: all the bills. Stand up for yourself and tell her,
- 1:18:44Speaker 2: this is my budget. You are man enough. Speak up.
- 1:18:49Speaker 2: If she wants to leave you, let her go. Anybody
- 1:18:51Speaker 2: who doesn't understand your season can't be worthy of your future.
- 1:18:54Speaker 2: Let her go. I just have to manage. Let me
- 1:18:57Speaker 2: prove that. What are you proving? Stop trying to use
- 1:19:01Speaker 2: the money you don't have to appease people. Are you
- 1:19:03Speaker 2: following what I'm saying here? It is not everywhere you
- 1:19:08Speaker 2: can give tip. Sometimes the tip is your transport, Oga.
- 1:19:12Speaker 2: Collect it. There are places you go to eat, there
- 1:19:15Speaker 2: are green impressions, you collect change. Ah, Oga, yes. I will.
- 1:19:19Speaker 2: You know, I went to preach somewhere. I've never seen
- 1:19:25Speaker 2: this one. But because, you know, my nature. I'm a
- 1:19:28Speaker 2: real person though. Don't go and think you come around me,
- 1:19:31Speaker 2: I'm telling you, thou art. Thou art God. I went
- 1:19:36Speaker 2: to preach. And I noticed that these people were giving
- 1:19:38Speaker 2: me the impression that you have come here, you will
- 1:19:41Speaker 2: not take honorarium. I said, we'll see. I don't need
- 1:19:45Speaker 2: the money. But because of this thing, I'm passing it.
- 1:19:48Speaker 2: So when I entered the car, the person brought the
- 1:19:51Speaker 2: honorarium and gave me and he held it. So I
- 1:19:55Speaker 2: held it too. He was giving me and I was
- 1:20:01Speaker 2: trying to. I made it awkward. Then I collected and
- 1:20:09Speaker 2: say god bless you thank you so much bye-bye and
- 1:20:14Speaker 2: i wound up and i left why do you want
- 1:20:18Speaker 2: to target my heart like i must leave it i
- 1:20:21Speaker 2: collected it not because i needed the money don't give
- 1:20:24Speaker 2: people impression that you'll always bow to their will because
- 1:20:28Speaker 2: you want to prove a point don't do that stand
- 1:20:31Speaker 2: up for yourself Are you learning something? Number three. Individuals
- 1:20:44Speaker 2: suffering from childhood trauma are often shy. Sometimes. Shy. Because
- 1:20:56Speaker 2: they are used to disappearing in the midst of people.
- 1:20:59Speaker 2: But they are not used to exposure. They avoid light.
- 1:21:03Speaker 2: They don't want to take the center stage. They have
- 1:21:06Speaker 2: beautiful things on their inside they never do. They can sing,
- 1:21:10Speaker 2: they will never sing. They can dance, they will never dance.
- 1:21:14Speaker 2: But something tells them it's not for you. Or you
- 1:21:17Speaker 2: may never do it well. You may never do it
- 1:21:19Speaker 2: like the rest. Number four. Childhood trauma make people blame
- 1:21:27Speaker 2: themselves for the things they are not even wrong about.
- 1:21:31Speaker 2: You hear things like, it's my fault. There's a breakup.
- 1:21:34Speaker 2: The guy is clearly wrong. God did get it. He said, no,
- 1:21:36Speaker 2: it's my fault. It's my fault. I wish I had
- 1:21:38Speaker 2: done it this way. I wish I had been cooking
- 1:21:40Speaker 2: for him. Somebody you are not married to. I wish
- 1:21:42Speaker 2: I had gone to the market earlier. I wish I
- 1:21:44Speaker 2: did not talk like this. It can make you believe
- 1:21:50Speaker 2: that you are not lovable. You are worthless. You are
- 1:21:53Speaker 2: not even attractive. Hope you know when you look at
- 1:21:56Speaker 2: the mirror, you don't really see well. You see what
- 1:21:59Speaker 2: you have heard. Yes. If what you have in your
- 1:22:05Speaker 2: mind is that you are not beautiful, regardless of who
- 1:22:07Speaker 2: is staring at you in the mirror, you won't see
- 1:22:08Speaker 2: the person. You will see that word clearly. Are you
- 1:22:16Speaker 2: with me? When you have issues with trauma, you believe
- 1:22:22Speaker 2: people are doing you a favor for loving you. You
- 1:22:26Speaker 2: feel you are privileged to be loved. How? How are
- 1:22:32Speaker 2: you not important? Nobody is doing you a favor when
- 1:22:37Speaker 2: they love you. You are important. You are needed. Stop
- 1:22:43Speaker 2: blaming yourself for what others did to you. Okay? If
- 1:22:47Speaker 2: you have an abusive roommate, say, I think it's my fault.
- 1:22:50Speaker 2: I think it's my person. Learn to look at situations
- 1:22:55Speaker 2: well and call it what it is. Are you following
- 1:22:59Speaker 2: what I'm saying here? Then, number five. Trauma makes you
- 1:23:04Speaker 2: bully yourself. What you do Is that you use the
- 1:23:11Speaker 2: exact same words of your abusers on yourself. I know
- 1:23:14Speaker 2: I'm not smart. I know. I know I'm a stupid person.
- 1:23:18Speaker 2: I know. I know I'm. Because I'm not. I'm ugly.
- 1:23:22Speaker 2: I know. I know I'm not this. They have sown
- 1:23:25Speaker 2: the seed of that word. And then you continue from there.
- 1:23:29Speaker 2: Using every word on yourself. Look at what Job was saying.
- 1:23:34Speaker 2: Because this is the day I was born. This and
- 1:23:37Speaker 2: this and that. What am I teaching on this subject?
- 1:23:42Speaker 2: Number one, because the Lord wants to bring people, wants
- 1:23:45Speaker 2: to bring out people who are already making poor decisions
- 1:23:49Speaker 2: due to their background. God wants to rescue them and
- 1:23:52Speaker 2: bring them out. And unfortunately, some are living in the
- 1:23:58Speaker 2: consequences of those decisions already. Have made something a decision
- 1:24:02Speaker 2: that they are asking, will this ever go away? Yes.
- 1:24:08Speaker 2: And some you will live with it. And it's not
- 1:24:11Speaker 2: bad either. You have a child out of wedlock. Relax.
- 1:24:14Speaker 2: It's not a sickness. Even at no cancers. Okay? That
- 1:24:20Speaker 2: child becomes the testimony of what you have endured and survived.
- 1:24:25Speaker 2: You are not second hand because you have a child.
- 1:24:29Speaker 2: Before God, you are discharged. You are free. You are justified.
- 1:24:34Speaker 2: Is that clear? Don't look at your child like the
- 1:24:37Speaker 2: reward of iniquity. You will bear another pain. Another cycle
- 1:24:42Speaker 2: is starting from there. Love that child. The man that
- 1:24:45Speaker 2: will love you with that child will come. Very important.
- 1:24:51Speaker 2: Don't look down on yourself and feel when they talk
- 1:24:53Speaker 2: about people in church. I wish I am still young.
- 1:24:57Speaker 2: I wish I am like them. I wish they would
- 1:24:58Speaker 2: perceive me as a queen. You are. And your child
- 1:25:02Speaker 2: is not taking away the crown. You are. Take this
- 1:25:06Speaker 2: from me, pastor. You are. Because that's what Jesus calls you. Amen. Okay? So,
- 1:25:18Speaker 2: number two. Another reason why I'm teaching this subject is
- 1:25:23Speaker 2: because we're in a season that is changing. I need
- 1:25:28Speaker 2: to take people who have healthy minds and healthy emotions
- 1:25:31Speaker 2: to step into the fullness of what God wants to
- 1:25:33Speaker 2: give you. So it's time to rise. Refuse to allow
- 1:25:40Speaker 2: your minds and your emotions to be fractured. Christ. Dust
- 1:25:45Speaker 2: yourself from the ashes of the past and enter into
- 1:25:48Speaker 2: the fullness of what God has for you. Are you
- 1:25:51Speaker 2: following what I'm saying here? Let me wrap up with
- 1:25:54Speaker 2: this scripture. Romans chapter number 8 verse 1. Romans chapter
- 1:25:58Speaker 2: number 8 verse 1. Quite popular scripture and I want
- 1:26:01Speaker 2: us to pay attention to it. Romans chapter number 8
- 1:26:04Speaker 2: verse 1. There is now therefore no condemnation to them
- 1:26:08Speaker 2: who are in Christ Jesus who walk not after the
- 1:26:11Speaker 2: flesh but after the spirit. There is no condemnation. This
- 1:26:16Speaker 2: is the life we have. Now listen to what I'm saying.
- 1:26:20Speaker 2: You have to get yourself up on time. So you
- 1:26:23Speaker 2: will not become prey. There is no time for weeping.
- 1:26:27Speaker 2: Locking and saying help me. Get up. Is that okay now?
- 1:26:31Speaker 2: Get up. Pick yourself up. And get up. You don't
- 1:26:34Speaker 2: look like your problem. That's the good news. And you
- 1:26:37Speaker 2: don't have to look like it. So get up. And
- 1:26:40Speaker 2: stand in the liberty that God has given to you.
- 1:26:42Speaker 2: Praise God. Let's rise on our feet and give God praise.
- 1:26:48Speaker 2: Let's thank him for freedom. Let's thank him for a
- 1:26:50Speaker 2: new beginning. Oh, thank you, Father. Oh, thank you, Lord.
- 1:26:58Speaker 2: We bless your holy name. Thank you, Lord. If you
- 1:27:04Speaker 2: came here with a form of pain and something, just
- 1:27:06Speaker 2: yield it to God and just raise your hands and
- 1:27:09Speaker 2: yield it to him. Oh, I thank him for liberty,
- 1:27:13Speaker 2: for liberation, for deliverance, for help. Oh, let's thank him.
- 1:27:26Speaker 2: I'm no longer a slave to fear. I am the
- 1:27:33Speaker 2: child of God. I'm no longer Come on. Two more times.
- 1:27:49Speaker 2: One more time. to fear. I am a child of God.
- 1:28:22Speaker 2: Thank you, Jesus. We bless you, Father. And we give
- 1:28:28Speaker 2: you all the praise. Thank you for the wave of
- 1:28:32Speaker 2: healing across the body of Christ. Amen. Now listen to this.
- 1:28:36Speaker 2: Look up, everybody. In chemistry, there's something called physical change
- 1:28:41Speaker 2: and chemical change. Simple things they say. Physical change are
- 1:28:45Speaker 2: changes that can be reversed either forward or backward. Chemical
- 1:28:50Speaker 2: changes can be reversed. For instance, when you convert liquid
- 1:28:54Speaker 2: to solid through freezing, you can reverse it. Okay? But
- 1:28:58Speaker 2: when you burn a piece of paper, convert it to ash.
- 1:29:01Speaker 2: You can't reverse it. So, there are permanent changes. Okay?
- 1:29:06Speaker 2: Let me give you another one. When people eat, and
- 1:29:08Speaker 2: it is, alright, digested in their system, and they pass
- 1:29:12Speaker 2: some out as dungs, and then the rest absorbed by
- 1:29:14Speaker 2: the body, you can't reverse it and make it rise again.
- 1:29:18Speaker 2: But God said, Hi, we'll restore the years that the locusts,
- 1:29:24Speaker 2: the canker worms, listen, when locusts eat, they defecate as
- 1:29:28Speaker 2: they eat. He said, I will call it back. I
- 1:29:31Speaker 2: will restore it again... Brand new... That's what he says... Amen...
- 1:29:41Speaker 2: There is nothing you can do against us... But for us...
- 1:29:44Speaker 2: I am not disadvantaged... This is the life I have...
- 1:29:49Speaker 2: I am not disadvantaged... Glory... When they expect you to be...
- 1:30:00Speaker 2: Covering and crying... You are rejoicing and say, what's happening there?
- 1:30:04Speaker 2: Because there is nothing you can do against us. Thank you, Lord.
- 1:30:11Speaker 2: We give you all the praise. Because that army is rising.
- 1:30:16Speaker 2: Thank you, Father. Thank you, Lord. We bless your holy name. Amen.
