- 0:00Speaker 1: In the last six years, I've learned everything there is
- 0:02Speaker 1: to know about social media, and I've become one of
- 0:05Speaker 1: the top business influencers in the world. And today, I'm
- 0:08Speaker 1: gonna step you through everything I've learned in the last
- 0:11Speaker 1: six years, going from zero followers to 17 million followers,
- 0:15Speaker 1: and so much money I can afford to make this
- 0:17Speaker 1: video for you free. And all you need to do
- 0:19Speaker 1: is sit down with a notepad and make notes, and
- 0:22Speaker 1: you can change your life. So let's get into it.
- 0:24Speaker 1: So principally, there are eight things that you need to
- 0:26Speaker 1: know about social media. The number one thing you need
- 0:28Speaker 1: to understand You'll probably be starting from zero. It's a
- 0:32Speaker 1: good thing. The vital key to this is it doesn't
- 0:34Speaker 1: matter you've got no followers. I see a lot of
- 0:36Speaker 1: people saying, well, how can I make money from social
- 0:39Speaker 1: media if I've only got 100 followers? It's possible. If
- 0:42Speaker 1: you can connect to 100 people and understand why they
- 0:44Speaker 1: followed you, I promise you can make money from it.
- 0:46Speaker 1: Follow account does matter. It has a role to play
- 0:49Speaker 1: in your social media strategy. And we definitely want people
- 0:52Speaker 1: to follow you. But I want you to start off
- 0:53Speaker 1: with the mindset that this is an experiment, have some
- 0:56Speaker 1: fun with it. And I want you to start from zero.
- 0:58Speaker 1: When I first went live, and live is something you
- 1:01Speaker 1: really have to get into. And you don't necessarily have
- 1:04Speaker 1: to be on camera. There's quite a few people that
- 1:06Speaker 1: are doing pretty well doing POV content, point of view content.
- 1:09Speaker 1: Now you on camera will actually help you build your
- 1:11Speaker 1: personal brand. So if you're not minding being on camera,
- 1:14Speaker 1: then absolutely do it. But if you are awkward on camera,
- 1:17Speaker 1: then you can do this POV style and it can
- 1:19Speaker 1: be just as powerful as you on camera. But you
- 1:22Speaker 1: have to have the mentality that it doesn't matter how
- 1:25Speaker 1: many views you have. It doesn't matter how many followers
- 1:28Speaker 1: you have. You just got to have fun and do
- 1:30Speaker 1: something that becomes natural to you every single day. If
- 1:33Speaker 1: any of you go to the gym, for example, you
- 1:35Speaker 1: know that once you go once and then you go
- 1:37Speaker 1: twice and then the third time you go, it becomes
- 1:39Speaker 1: a beginning of a habit. Social media needs to become
- 1:41Speaker 1: part of your life. You literally need to go live
- 1:44Speaker 1: having breakfast. It might only be you eating breakfast, but
- 1:47Speaker 1: you're live. You're learning to be comfortable in front of
- 1:49Speaker 1: the camera. You're getting used to that idea of the
- 1:51Speaker 1: camera in front of you. Get used to it because
- 1:53Speaker 1: it's not going anywhere. And if you use it right now,
- 1:56Speaker 1: I predict within three years, they'll shut what I'm about
- 1:59Speaker 1: to teach you down. They won't let you take advantage
- 2:01Speaker 1: of what I'm about to teach you. So you have
- 2:03Speaker 1: to right now get comfortable with the uncomfortable. The second
- 2:06Speaker 1: thing I'm going to teach you about this starting from
- 2:07Speaker 1: zero point is you're going to have to think a
- 2:10Speaker 1: what you enjoy doing. Make it something that you would
- 2:13Speaker 1: do naturally. So if you love running, go live when
- 2:16Speaker 1: you're running. Experiment and ingrain it in what you love doing.
- 2:20Speaker 1: If you love doing sales calls, then literally turn on
- 2:23Speaker 1: your live doing those sales calls. Teach people not by
- 2:26Speaker 1: telling them what to do, but by showing them what
- 2:29Speaker 1: to do. And you'll be surprised how quickly that can
- 2:31Speaker 1: generate you a customer, how that can generate you a follower.
- 2:34Speaker 1: And eventually, I'm going to teach you how to do
- 2:35Speaker 1: this in a minute, how it's going to generate you revenue.
- 2:37Speaker 1: Get the right mindset and and start from zero and
- 2:40Speaker 1: get excited about having zero followers. I want to give
- 2:43Speaker 1: you something I've never shared before. My team and I
- 2:45Speaker 1: have put together all of our internal documents, how we edit,
- 2:48Speaker 1: how we create content, and exactly how to start working
- 2:51Speaker 1: with brands. School doesn't teach this, so I want you
- 2:54Speaker 1: to have it for free from us. Just drop me
- 2:57Speaker 1: your email below and tell me where to send it.
- 2:59Speaker 1: Use it alongside this video and it could genuinely change
- 3:01Speaker 1: the direction of your life. And by the way, I'm
- 3:03Speaker 1: picking one person who follows every step in these emails
- 3:06Speaker 1: to win 10,000 pounds plus a free consultation with my
- 3:09Speaker 1: expert team. You don't want to miss this. Sign up
- 3:12Speaker 1: to win through the link below. The second thing I
- 3:13Speaker 1: want to teach you is something that when I first
- 3:15Speaker 1: say it, it's obvious, but I'm going to give you
- 3:17Speaker 1: a framework to make it possible. You have to learn
- 3:20Speaker 1: to just post. Don't overthink. Don't over edit. You just
- 3:25Speaker 1: make it good and you post it and then you
- 3:27Speaker 1: get feedback and you repeat, learn and post again. You've
- 3:30Speaker 1: got to stop blaming lack of experience or lack of
- 3:34Speaker 1: equipment on not making it happen. You might have zero
- 3:37Speaker 1: followers and you may get one view and that one
- 3:40Speaker 1: view can be your mate who may be laughing at you.
- 3:43Speaker 1: But I promise you. This process of learning to accept
- 3:47Speaker 1: failure and people laughing at you will lead to freedom.
- 3:50Speaker 1: If you remember, every time you post, and if you
- 3:53Speaker 1: post every single day, from the day you've watched this
- 3:56Speaker 1: video to the one year from now, I 100% guarantee
- 3:59Speaker 1: in one year's time, The people that were laughing at
- 4:03Speaker 1: you won't be laughing anymore. Those people that were watching
- 4:05Speaker 1: the content will become your customers and you'll have the
- 4:08Speaker 1: life you want because you'll own your own time. You'll
- 4:10Speaker 1: be able to post and make content when it suits you. Mentality-wise, understand.
- 4:15Speaker 1: If you don't post, if you don't just do it,
- 4:17Speaker 1: you're going to get trapped in the life you've presently got.
- 4:21Speaker 1: This is also a social experiment to see whether or
- 4:23Speaker 1: not you can push yourself through the pre-programming that school
- 4:26Speaker 1: has given you. The education system has taught you to
- 4:28Speaker 1: sit down and shut up. to not get noticed, and
- 4:31Speaker 1: you have to push back against all that subconscious training.
- 4:35Speaker 1: Standing out is exactly what's going to guarantee success for you.
- 4:38Speaker 1: Being unique, being seen, being heard. Every single business on
- 4:42Speaker 1: this planet is only succeeding because someone heard about them
- 4:47Speaker 1: and bought their product or service. If you don't post,
- 4:50Speaker 1: your life will not be what it could be, and
- 4:53Speaker 1: you will not have financial freedom. You may be able
- 4:56Speaker 1: to do it without social media, but I'm telling you
- 4:58Speaker 1: it's a lot harder now earlier I said we talked
- 5:01Speaker 1: about monetization so let's talk about tools because here's the
- 5:04Speaker 1: secret most people won't tell you what you use matters
- 5:07Speaker 1: this is where Stan comes in Stan is one of
- 5:10Speaker 1: the top softwares for monetizing social media most tools need
- 5:14Speaker 1: you to have a huge following with Stan you can
- 5:16Speaker 1: get started by selling direct in your bio which is
- 5:18Speaker 1: the easiest way to get started plus they built all
- 5:21Speaker 1: the tools a creator needs to monetize if you want
- 5:23Speaker 1: to make money from social media use Stan to get
- 5:25Speaker 1: paid as mentioned earlier you can get our internal document
- 5:29Speaker 1: at the link below. My team will show you exactly
- 5:31Speaker 1: how to prep, launch and grow your content for free.
- 5:34Speaker 1: We'll show you how to set up your standstill too,
- 5:36Speaker 1: if that's something you're interested in. Thank you to Stan
- 5:38Speaker 1: for sponsoring this video. We use the money we get
- 5:40Speaker 1: from sponsorship to fund dreams and help you with content
- 5:43Speaker 1: like this to get where you want to be for free.
- 5:45Speaker 1: The next thing you need to learn is how to
- 5:47Speaker 1: take feedback and structure. Let's start with structure. When I
- 5:50Speaker 1: started this journey six years ago myself, I already had
- 5:53Speaker 1: a YouTube channel that I hardly used and I've been
- 5:56Speaker 1: playing around with making videos for my previous businesses with
- 5:59Speaker 1: frankly very low views. But what I should have done
- 6:02Speaker 1: in hindsight is be a bit more proactive and follow
- 6:05Speaker 1: my own guideline in this video. The number one thing
- 6:07Speaker 1: to do on structure is actually get yourself structured to
- 6:11Speaker 1: make content every week. The best way to do that,
- 6:14Speaker 1: I think, is batch recording. So find a slot, half
- 6:17Speaker 1: a day, ideally a whole day, where you come up
- 6:21Speaker 1: with ideas for content and then you shoot it. And initially,
- 6:24Speaker 1: keep your structure light. A good iPhone will do it.
- 6:27Speaker 1: Get a stand, a cheap one, and just talk into
- 6:30Speaker 1: the camera. It doesn't have to be good audio, it
- 6:32Speaker 1: doesn't have to be brilliant on the videoing, but just practice.
- 6:36Speaker 1: Maybe that's too basic for you. I can explain why
- 6:39Speaker 1: I am six years later, but I worry that you
- 6:41Speaker 1: won't really fully believe it's possible for you to build
- 6:44Speaker 1: the structure I now presently have. In the end, you
- 6:46Speaker 1: are going to need someone that helps you come up
- 6:49Speaker 1: with ideas because even I'm brilliant at coming up with content,
- 6:52Speaker 1: I still need help to fine tune that content. It's
- 6:54Speaker 1: like anything in this world, you need a muse, you
- 6:57Speaker 1: need someone to go back and forth with. Now, right now,
- 6:59Speaker 1: you can build that structure by having a friend you
- 7:01Speaker 1: trust or the expertise or the thing you're gonna talk about,
- 7:04Speaker 1: perhaps get other people in the room with you making
- 7:06Speaker 1: that content. Or literally, you can just put the content
- 7:08Speaker 1: out And this is why I'm talking about feedback and
- 7:10Speaker 1: see what people say. At the end of the videos,
- 7:12Speaker 1: you can ask them, what else do you want to know?
- 7:14Speaker 1: What are we not teaching you that you need to know?
- 7:17Speaker 1: I know for a fact, for example, that this video
- 7:19Speaker 1: I'm about to give you now will give you everything
- 7:21Speaker 1: you need to make your social media life work. But
- 7:24Speaker 1: there will be things like, for example, how to create
- 7:27Speaker 1: a perfect hook. how to create a perfect story. Some
- 7:30Speaker 1: of these things are gonna be very technically difficult for
- 7:32Speaker 1: me to explain to you in this video. I'm going
- 7:34Speaker 1: to try to give you the basics, but I'm gonna
- 7:36Speaker 1: give you all of this deep content. All you need
- 7:38Speaker 1: to do is go subscribe to my main list. There'll
- 7:39Speaker 1: be a link somewhere around here and I'll send you
- 7:42Speaker 1: in my next post out on my email list, a
- 7:44Speaker 1: detailed video on exactly what you need to do to
- 7:47Speaker 1: make a video work. I've been doing this so long now,
- 7:51Speaker 1: I know what you're going to tell me you need
- 7:53Speaker 1: at the end of this video. But equally, you need
- 7:55Speaker 1: to understand When people give you feedback, what to listen
- 7:58Speaker 1: to and what not listen to. And here's the framework.
- 8:00Speaker 1: Read the comments of every single video that you put out.
- 8:03Speaker 1: Send the video to people you have targeted in the video.
- 8:06Speaker 1: So I'm targeting people who are starting a business. I'm
- 8:08Speaker 1: targeting people that want to grow their business through social media.
- 8:11Speaker 1: So I can literally send this video to those people
- 8:13Speaker 1: and say, I know you have this problem with social media.
- 8:16Speaker 1: Does this video give you what you need to be
- 8:19Speaker 1: better at social media? And if it doesn't do that
- 8:22Speaker 1: and someone tells me that, then I don't Make the
- 8:24Speaker 1: same mistake twice. I make another video and I fill
- 8:26Speaker 1: the gaps. You have to go after your target audience
- 8:29Speaker 1: and ask them exactly whether or not what you've made
- 8:32Speaker 1: gives them what they want. And that will, I promise you,
- 8:35Speaker 1: ensure a successful social media strategy going forward. Now, just
- 8:37Speaker 1: finishing up on the structure. When you first start out,
- 8:40Speaker 1: do not overthink this. You can literally use the in-app
- 8:43Speaker 1: edit tools to edit any video. And it doesn't have
- 8:45Speaker 1: to be perfect. It just has to be live. Do
- 8:48Speaker 1: not try to make it perfect. As you develop your
- 8:50Speaker 1: craft and you get better at, say, talking on camera
- 8:52Speaker 1: or making content behind the camera, you can start to
- 8:55Speaker 1: see where your gaps are. And someone will see your
- 8:57Speaker 1: content and pop out an offer to help you with editing.
- 9:00Speaker 1: But all you need to remember is that content is
- 9:03Speaker 1: just like TV. You have to entertain people. You have
- 9:05Speaker 1: to teach them something and you have to hook them in.
- 9:08Speaker 1: I know people don't like hooks. When I first started
- 9:10Speaker 1: doing content, my first big hook was, I'm a multimillionaire
- 9:14Speaker 1: and I can teach you business. I cringed. I didn't
- 9:17Speaker 1: want to do it, but I did it. And that's
- 9:19Speaker 1: why I have huge audience and huge amount of success
- 9:23Speaker 1: on social media because I accepted it. that although a
- 9:26Speaker 1: hook wasn't me, it was how the game is played.
- 9:29Speaker 1: Once you're hooked in, I then try to bring value
- 9:31Speaker 1: and differentiate myself within the value that I bring. Let's
- 9:34Speaker 1: move on to staying motivated because I know now at
- 9:36Speaker 1: this point, I've given you what you actually need to start,
- 9:39Speaker 1: but what's gonna keep you going? This is the key
- 9:42Speaker 1: that a lot of people don't teach within their business
- 9:44Speaker 1: content because it's gonna sound woo-woo, but I promise you,
- 9:47Speaker 1: if you move past the subconscious thinking it's just woo-woo
- 9:50Speaker 1: and understand what I'm about to teach you, you will
- 9:53Speaker 1: change your life. I first want to say, that burnout
- 9:56Speaker 1: is normal. After six months of doing content on a
- 10:00Speaker 1: this whole process six years ago, it was within six
- 10:03Speaker 1: months that my enthusiasm died. I felt I'd said everything
- 10:06Speaker 1: I already knew. And there was a point where I thought, well,
- 10:09Speaker 1: there's no point anymore in doing this. I told everybody
- 10:12Speaker 1: everything I know. Those videos are there forever. That's it.
- 10:15Speaker 1: It's over. And I had a week off. And then
- 10:18Speaker 1: I realized something. And I don't know whether this is
- 10:20Speaker 1: just business instinct because I've been doing business so long,
- 10:22Speaker 1: but this isn't how it works. You can't work hard
- 10:25Speaker 1: for six months building a business and then stop and
- 10:27Speaker 1: expect it to work. Those early videos that I made,
- 10:30Speaker 1: I had to remake them because I'm a different person
- 10:32Speaker 1: six months later. I had to redo that content and
- 10:35Speaker 1: be sharper, make the hook better, make the story better,
- 10:37Speaker 1: and make the payoff better. I had to entertain people more.
- 10:41Speaker 1: I had to teach people something deeper. And so I
- 10:43Speaker 1: went and did the whole thing again. And I did
- 10:46Speaker 1: it by realising that I wasn't that great and that
- 10:49Speaker 1: I could be better. The best people and the people
- 10:51Speaker 1: I invest in, I invest in a lot of companies,
- 10:53Speaker 1: I invest in people that accept they're not the best
- 10:55Speaker 1: and they're going to get better. And this is what
- 10:57Speaker 1: you need to do. You need to realise that you
- 10:59Speaker 1: can improve and you want to because the more you improve,
- 11:02Speaker 1: the more chances later of you never being poor again.
- 11:05Speaker 1: I don't want you to win the lottery because if
- 11:07Speaker 1: you do, you won't be able to make the money
- 11:09Speaker 1: again unless you're extremely lucky. The best way to ensure
- 11:14Speaker 1: long-term financial success is know how to make money and
- 11:17Speaker 1: build it step by step by improving yourself. You have
- 11:21Speaker 1: to learn that burnout is normal, but you also have
- 11:24Speaker 1: to understand how you come back from burnout. And that's
- 11:26Speaker 1: first of all, realising what you've just done, you can
- 11:28Speaker 1: do better and you should for your own sake. And second,
- 11:31Speaker 1: and probably just as important, remember when you've made a
- 11:34Speaker 1: bit of content and people have seen it, you'll be
- 11:37Speaker 1: shocked how many people haven't seen it. I have told
- 11:39Speaker 1: people a million times that I bought a staircase in
- 11:42Speaker 1: Twickenham where you can go and pitch your doorbell of dreams,
- 11:44Speaker 1: that I won a million dollars in Dubai. But I
- 11:46Speaker 1: bet there's still someone here right now who's never heard
- 11:48Speaker 1: any of those things before. And I've made videos on
- 11:50Speaker 1: those things a hundred times. You have to remember what
- 11:53Speaker 1: you think people have heard, they haven't heard. You have
- 11:55Speaker 1: to say it again and again and again. You need
- 11:57Speaker 1: people around you that are going to support you. You
- 12:00Speaker 1: have to get rid of people that are not encouraging
- 12:01Speaker 1: you to follow your dreams. If you've got friends telling
- 12:03Speaker 1: you to come out on a Friday night or come
- 12:05Speaker 1: out at the weekend, when really you should have your
- 12:07Speaker 1: head down building your dream and making content instead, then
- 12:10Speaker 1: you kind of need to cut those people out of
- 12:11Speaker 1: your life. Now, I'm not saying don't go out and
- 12:13Speaker 1: have fun. Please do, especially if it's your content strategy.
- 12:15Speaker 1: But if it's going to stop you following your dreams
- 12:17Speaker 1: by having the wrong people around you, you've got to
- 12:18Speaker 1: get rid of them. You've got to make sure you're
- 12:20Speaker 1: motivated by the people around you. The next thing we're
- 12:22Speaker 1: going to talk about is monetization. Yes, how to make money.
- 12:25Speaker 1: I'm going to try and give you two frameworks. Now, ironically,
- 12:28Speaker 1: if you can make money, I know this is going
- 12:30Speaker 1: to help you stay motivated. So we want to get
- 12:32Speaker 1: you to monetization as quickly as possible. But remember what
- 12:35Speaker 1: I said just a moment ago. Motivation's got to come
- 12:38Speaker 1: from the inner you, the purpose of which you're doing
- 12:40Speaker 1: this for. Because what's going to happen? And I have
- 12:42Speaker 1: it too. You go look at my videos. I've got
- 12:44Speaker 1: a video that's got 141 million views. The next video
- 12:47Speaker 1: has 1,000 views. It's going to happen. Don't look at
- 12:50Speaker 1: the views and let that determine whether or not you
- 12:53Speaker 1: are successful. Don't let it demotivate you. What matters... is consistency.
- 12:58Speaker 1: And the only way you're going to get that is
- 13:00Speaker 1: by not looking at views, but impact. If you'd help
- 13:03Speaker 1: one person or you get one customer or you get
- 13:07Speaker 1: one new person joining your organization for whatever reason as
- 13:09Speaker 1: a fan, that's the win. That's the win we want
- 13:12Speaker 1: each week. And that is what you need to focus on. Now, ironically,
- 13:16Speaker 1: if you post consistently and you bring value, money's going
- 13:20Speaker 1: to flow in. Okay, and now let's talk about the
- 13:23Speaker 1: structures of how money is going to flow in. We'll
- 13:25Speaker 1: quickly have to break down each of the different platforms.
- 13:27Speaker 1: So let's just be clear. YouTube will give you the
- 13:30Speaker 1: most amount of money per views. Probably second, depending on
- 13:34Speaker 1: algorithms and any given month is TikTok. Instagram doesn't really
- 13:37Speaker 1: pay you for views, but Instagram will give you money
- 13:41Speaker 1: from brand deals quicker than say YouTube or TikTok in
- 13:44Speaker 1: the early days will. You can get money from brand
- 13:46Speaker 1: deals quite quickly on Instagram. But the most important thing is,
- 13:50Speaker 1: You post on all channels. Going back to YouTube for
- 13:52Speaker 1: a minute. When you're posting on YouTube, you've actually got
- 13:54Speaker 1: three sections you need to learn to use properly. First
- 13:57Speaker 1: is the shorts. So you need to put up short
- 13:59Speaker 1: form content and that can drive subscribers and build your
- 14:02Speaker 1: channel up quite nicely. Now, of course, long form videos
- 14:06Speaker 1: like this video, definitely you want to get into as
- 14:09Speaker 1: well when you can. And then the final thing is
- 14:10Speaker 1: the community tab, the area that a lot of people overlook.
- 14:13Speaker 1: You want to post in the community tab as often
- 14:15Speaker 1: as you can. This community tab is what creates stickiness
- 14:19Speaker 1: between you and the followers and the subscribers and the viewers.
- 14:22Speaker 1: To build a business, all you actually need is 1,000
- 14:24Speaker 1: true fans, 1,000 people that love you, that every month
- 14:27Speaker 1: will be willing to tell 10 people about you. So
- 14:29Speaker 1: focus on building the community because community, by the way,
- 14:33Speaker 1: is another way to monetize. If you right now were,
- 14:35Speaker 1: for example, doing plumbing and you had 500 plumbers in
- 14:40Speaker 1: a WhatsApp group, or in your community tab on Instagram
- 14:44Speaker 1: or on YouTube, and you said to a plumbing company
- 14:46Speaker 1: who's launching a new product, you can reach 500 plumbers
- 14:50Speaker 1: with one post, they'll pay you a lot of money. Now,
- 14:52Speaker 1: I mentioned WhatsApp there. Frankly, that's another social media channel
- 14:55Speaker 1: that you can use. If you see on your YouTube
- 14:58Speaker 1: channel and your Instagram channel and your TikTok channel, you're
- 15:00Speaker 1: getting 100 views. If you could get those 100 views
- 15:03Speaker 1: into a WhatsApp group, now you're starting to build another
- 15:05Speaker 1: level of independence from those platforms. So if TikTok shuts
- 15:08Speaker 1: down or Instagram blocks you, you've still got this WhatsApp group.
- 15:11Speaker 1: So you do wanna figure out, for monetization, how to
- 15:15Speaker 1: build email addresses, build community, and make sure, ultimately, that
- 15:19Speaker 1: you've got a group of your community. Those are assets
- 15:22Speaker 1: that none of these social media chat platforms will be
- 15:24Speaker 1: able to take away from you later, so you wanna
- 15:25Speaker 1: try and always build out those things. That's why I
- 15:28Speaker 1: mentioned earlier, for example, Join my main list and I'll
- 15:30Speaker 1: give you deep dive videos from my technical team on
- 15:33Speaker 1: how to make these videos that we're talking about, right?
- 15:35Speaker 1: It's also a way for me to build up my
- 15:36Speaker 1: main list because I don't know if YouTube one day
- 15:38Speaker 1: is going to block me and I want to make
- 15:39Speaker 1: sure I don't lose connection with you, my audience, right?
- 15:42Speaker 1: You need to do the same because it's another way
- 15:44Speaker 1: to monetize. So in the end, you want to try
- 15:46Speaker 1: and build one funnel that does lead to getting an
- 15:50Speaker 1: email address. You can make money from affiliate links. So
- 15:53Speaker 1: you can put links to products that you believe in
- 15:55Speaker 1: and with people click those links, you make money. So
- 15:57Speaker 1: you can put affiliate links in your bio. I work
- 16:00Speaker 1: with StanStore. This is the partner I have for this
- 16:03Speaker 1: because I don't need to build a website with all
- 16:05Speaker 1: this stuff in it. I just use StanStore. And within StanStore,
- 16:07Speaker 1: I can put all the things that people can buy
- 16:09Speaker 1: from me. So branded product, for example, or affiliate links.
- 16:13Speaker 1: So basically you can make money from affiliates. You can
- 16:15Speaker 1: make money also from brand deals. Now you might think,
- 16:19Speaker 1: oh Simon, I don't have any followers. How am I
- 16:21Speaker 1: gonna get brand deals? Why don't you think about it
- 16:23Speaker 1: this way? When we launched my doorbell of dreams at
- 16:26Speaker 1: the staircase in Twickenham, we used Ring doorbell. Now Ring
- 16:30Speaker 1: is owned by Amazon and we couldn't get hold of them.
- 16:32Speaker 1: We thought it'd be nice if they were a sponsor,
- 16:34Speaker 1: but we put the doorbell up anyway, and we got
- 16:36Speaker 1: millions of views on these videos just because we use
- 16:39Speaker 1: their product because we needed it. We like it. We
- 16:41Speaker 1: believe in it. And guess what? We then meet them.
- 16:43Speaker 1: We get a brand deal with them. So sometimes just
- 16:46Speaker 1: lean into what you really like product wise, you know,
- 16:48Speaker 1: what you're wearing. And if you get the success that
- 16:51Speaker 1: I hope you get following the formula I'm giving you here,
- 16:54Speaker 1: you will get those brands reaching out to you. Now,
- 16:56Speaker 1: you can also go and join affiliate programs. So you
- 17:00Speaker 1: can go and be within things like TikTok. I'm launching
- 17:02Speaker 1: a drinks brand soon. You could sell my drinks brand.
- 17:05Speaker 1: And if you sell that drinks brand, I make profit,
- 17:07Speaker 1: which I can give to Dreamers, and you get money
- 17:09Speaker 1: for helping sell that product. So you don't even need
- 17:11Speaker 1: to have a product to make lots of money in
- 17:13Speaker 1: the future. The next thing I'm going to talk about
- 17:15Speaker 1: is building a team. Now, when I say this, you're
- 17:16Speaker 1: instantly going to think cost. Your fight or flight panic
- 17:19Speaker 1: mode is like, oh my God, I haven't got any
- 17:21Speaker 1: money to build a team. You don't need money in
- 17:22Speaker 1: the short term to build a team. I'm gonna give
- 17:24Speaker 1: you a framework how to build a team with no money, okay?
- 17:26Speaker 1: So how do you build a team of the calibre
- 17:28Speaker 1: that I've got? Again, a lot of this will interlink
- 17:31Speaker 1: what I've talked to you about today. If you have
- 17:33Speaker 1: a mission that matters, so my mission is to fix
- 17:35Speaker 1: the education system and frankly, I'm building an alternative to it.
- 17:37Speaker 1: You can learn from this YouTube channel. You don't need
- 17:40Speaker 1: to learn from a teacher that doesn't know. I have
- 17:42Speaker 1: asked people in my team, the present people in my
- 17:44Speaker 1: team initially to help me And I wasn't even talking
- 17:47Speaker 1: about money. I just said, I'm trying to do this.
- 17:49Speaker 1: You have a skill on content or copywriting. Can you
- 17:53Speaker 1: help me? They said, yes. So Callum, Jack, even Joe
- 17:56Speaker 1: is with me today in the room. All kind of helped.
- 17:59Speaker 1: They weren't thinking about money. They were thinking about the mission.
- 18:02Speaker 1: Now they're making money now and they should. You need
- 18:05Speaker 1: to pay your people long term. But at the beginning,
- 18:09Speaker 1: people will help you if you have a mission. And
- 18:11Speaker 1: one of the things I've done in my previous business
- 18:13Speaker 1: that I think is really interesting is I wanted to
- 18:16Speaker 1: hire someone who was really, really good. So I was
- 18:19Speaker 1: running an agency called Fluid out of Hong Kong, one
- 18:22Speaker 1: of the biggest agencies in the region, really successful. But
- 18:25Speaker 1: the person I wanted to hire, we couldn't afford them.
- 18:28Speaker 1: So how did I get them on board? I basically
- 18:31Speaker 1: gave them ownership. I said, in time, you can own
- 18:35Speaker 1: equity in the business if you come and join us. Now,
- 18:38Speaker 1: if this person, and they were very senior, very good,
- 18:41Speaker 1: they're working in a company that would never give them that.
- 18:43Speaker 1: So I have an advantage that other companies don't. I'm
- 18:46Speaker 1: willing to give up equity, which by the way, is
- 18:48Speaker 1: the most valuable thing you can ever give someone. And
- 18:50Speaker 1: so I brought him on board. He actually bought the shares.
- 18:54Speaker 1: So he invested and then worked in the business under KPIs,
- 18:58Speaker 1: measurements of success. And as he reached those milestones, he
- 19:00Speaker 1: got equity. And he is now a multi-millionaire today. A
- 19:04Speaker 1: guy called Guy Parsonage. I think you should do that
- 19:06Speaker 1: for everybody in your company. Everybody. What I'm getting to
- 19:09Speaker 1: here is, is that building a team isn't about spending
- 19:12Speaker 1: lots of money. It's about applying the frameworks I've just
- 19:15Speaker 1: given you to get the very best people in. And frankly,
- 19:18Speaker 1: if you don't get the best people in, then you
- 19:19Speaker 1: won't be able to be the best. Just before we
- 19:22Speaker 1: move on to the next two things, which are really
- 19:24Speaker 1: vital to make this all work, there are some key
- 19:26Speaker 1: roles that you're going to need within a content strategy, right?
- 19:30Speaker 1: Social media in particular. I think it is crucial to
- 19:32Speaker 1: have a good editing team or a good editor in
- 19:35Speaker 1: the long run. You can use in-app editing initially. And
- 19:37Speaker 1: by the way, the apps love it when you do that.
- 19:39Speaker 1: but in the long run you are going to need
- 19:40Speaker 1: an editor. You're also going to need probably a camera person.
- 19:43Speaker 1: Now you can get camera people that are also editors.
- 19:45Speaker 1: I found that often one's a really good editor, but
- 19:48Speaker 1: not necessarily good on camera. Or they're really good on camera,
- 19:51Speaker 1: they're not very good editing. Like Dudley is my cameraman, right?
- 19:54Speaker 1: And Joe is my editor. Joe could hold a camera.
- 19:57Speaker 1: And Dudley, by the way, Dudley's got quite good editing now.
- 19:59Speaker 1: But in his early days, he was really crap. I
- 20:01Speaker 1: think scripting is quite important. Now, I don't script these
- 20:04Speaker 1: videos because I know all of this stuff. So I
- 20:06Speaker 1: don't need scripting. But what I do have is someone,
- 20:10Speaker 1: Jack in my team, who writes out the basic points
- 20:13Speaker 1: so I don't forget. You might need to get someone
- 20:15Speaker 1: to help you with scripting. Now, OpenAI, ChatGPT, these tools
- 20:18Speaker 1: are all right. You can use them. But of course,
- 20:20Speaker 1: they need to be in your own words and be authentic.
- 20:22Speaker 1: I think thumbnail designers, like even now at the scale
- 20:25Speaker 1: we're at, we're one of the most popular business YouTube
- 20:27Speaker 1: channels in the world. We don't have a full-time thumbnail designer.
- 20:30Speaker 1: We literally have a couple of people part-time who are good.
- 20:32Speaker 1: And internally, we do have a couple of people that
- 20:34Speaker 1: can do thumbnails. I think you need a designer to
- 20:36Speaker 1: frame up your social posts. Again, Canva is pretty good.
- 20:41Speaker 1: And with AI and things like Canva, they're not my sponsor.
- 20:43Speaker 1: But I just like products like that. They're really useful.
- 20:46Speaker 1: And then the final thing you should think about, operations.
- 20:49Speaker 1: Someone that's going to keep you a bit accountable. Now,
- 20:51Speaker 1: you can do a remote EA. I have a full-time EA,
- 20:55Speaker 1: someone that's permanently remote. organising my life but I do
- 20:58Speaker 1: think you need someone that's going to keep your account
- 21:00Speaker 1: on Monday you're going to meet them at nine o'clock
- 21:02Speaker 1: and you're gonna talk through what you're gonna get done
- 21:04Speaker 1: that week. You need a bit of accountability. This might
- 21:06Speaker 1: also help you stay motivated, by the way, having someone
- 21:08Speaker 1: to help you with the operations. The next thing we're
- 21:10Speaker 1: gonna talk about is innovation and growth. This bit might
- 21:13Speaker 1: sound obvious, but again, I'm gonna try and give you
- 21:15Speaker 1: a framework to stay innovative, okay? Now, one of my
- 21:18Speaker 1: favourite thinkers is Clayton Christensen. He's now left us. I
- 21:22Speaker 1: was lucky enough to be on stage with him years ago.
- 21:24Speaker 1: He wrote a book called Innovator's Dilemma. And the basic
- 21:26Speaker 1: premise was that a lot of successful companies get stuck
- 21:31Speaker 1: with what they have and they can't innovate. Now, the
- 21:33Speaker 1: exciting thing about this insight is that there were a
- 21:35Speaker 1: lot of companies today that aren't innovating. And if you
- 21:38Speaker 1: learn to embrace innovation, embrace disrupting yourself, you can win.
- 21:44Speaker 1: An example, of course, the obvious example is Netflix versus blockbusters.
- 21:48Speaker 1: Blockbusters didn't innovate, they died and Netflix won. Now, I
- 21:51Speaker 1: think there's a big opportunity For every business today to
- 21:55Speaker 1: beat the incumbent, you can be bigger than Amazon. If
- 21:58Speaker 1: you built a business where every time you sold a
- 22:00Speaker 1: product like Amazon does, you gave a percentage of your
- 22:03Speaker 1: profit to fund someone's dream. The point I'm getting to
- 22:06Speaker 1: here is that if you learn to innovate, you can
- 22:09Speaker 1: learn to win. Innovation isn't just a way of surviving.
- 22:12Speaker 1: It's a way of thriving. Equally, if you learn to innovate,
- 22:16Speaker 1: you can grow. What actually guarantees 100% success is taking risk.
- 22:21Speaker 1: And risk basically is innovating. We helped two twins, the
- 22:25Speaker 1: Mako group twins, build their social media. And basically what
- 22:28Speaker 1: they did is they went and cleaned places that no
- 22:31Speaker 1: one else will clean. They innovated in content. No one
- 22:33Speaker 1: else was cleaning places no one else wants to clean.
- 22:36Speaker 1: They went and cleaned them. And on the back of
- 22:37Speaker 1: those viral videos, they built one of the most successful
- 22:40Speaker 1: cleaning companies in the UK in a space of just
- 22:42Speaker 1: a couple of years. I met them a couple of
- 22:44Speaker 1: years ago. They were living with their mum and their
- 22:47Speaker 1: other siblings, five of them, in one room in a
- 22:50Speaker 1: house they were about to be evicted from. And now
- 22:52Speaker 1: they live in a five-bedroom house of their own because
- 22:54Speaker 1: they followed my advice. Innovating and pioneering and pushing will
- 22:59Speaker 1: give you personal growth. Now the final thing I need
- 23:02Speaker 1: to teach you is probably the most important. And if
- 23:05Speaker 1: you've got it this far in the video, I'm going
- 23:07Speaker 1: to say well done. There's a high chance you're going
- 23:09Speaker 1: to be successful. because you've managed to stay focused on
- 23:12Speaker 1: learning something that can change your life. Please do me
- 23:15Speaker 1: a favor, hit the subscribe button. And don't forget, if
- 23:18Speaker 1: you are finding any value from this content, you should
- 23:20Speaker 1: join my main list, the links in my bio. Short-term
- 23:23Speaker 1: wins and long-term vision. It's important, and I've touched on
- 23:27Speaker 1: it slightly in the previous parts of this video, that
- 23:30Speaker 1: you really set in stone why you were doing this.
- 23:33Speaker 1: If you set a short-term goal, a long-term goal, and
- 23:36Speaker 1: a reason to keep going forever, you will win. Collaboration
- 23:40Speaker 1: in the short term is probably gonna be your quickest
- 23:42Speaker 1: route to success. I always say one plus one equals 11.
- 23:46Speaker 1: You basically need to think carefully about how you can
- 23:49Speaker 1: work with others to build your profile up. You know,
- 23:52Speaker 1: I was saying earlier about building your team. One other
- 23:54Speaker 1: way to do it is build your community. Think about
- 23:56Speaker 1: who in your space would be good to team up with. Now,
- 23:59Speaker 1: don't think because they've got millions of followers that they
- 24:02Speaker 1: won't necessarily collab with you. There's been plenty of people
- 24:04Speaker 1: that have had near zero followers that I have done
- 24:07Speaker 1: a podcast with because not everybody's in it for the money,
- 24:09Speaker 1: despite what the media tells us. A lot of good
- 24:12Speaker 1: people out there will collaborate with you. It's not who
- 24:14Speaker 1: you know, it's who you ask. I think short term,
- 24:17Speaker 1: to get your views up, First of all, be persistent,
- 24:20Speaker 1: be frequent and look for collaboration. In the long term,
- 24:24Speaker 1: you have to make sure that your business is something
- 24:26Speaker 1: you love. You have to give yourself an ambitious target,
- 24:29Speaker 1: both revenue and execution of mission. So in my case,
- 24:32Speaker 1: I want to help 10 million people start a business.
- 24:34Speaker 1: I think we're well into the million plus now already.
- 24:36Speaker 1: Give yourself two frameworks. One is to move a mountain,
- 24:40Speaker 1: move one small rock at a time. That's your short
- 24:42Speaker 1: term plan. Move one small rock at a time. Your
- 24:45Speaker 1: long term plan is What is the mountain and why
- 24:48Speaker 1: does it need to be moved? This is a marathon,
- 24:50Speaker 1: not a sprint. You have to give yourself time. It's
- 24:53Speaker 1: taken me six years to become one of the most
- 24:55Speaker 1: successful business influencers in the world. And every single step
- 24:58Speaker 1: of the way, I have thought about giving up. Every
- 25:00Speaker 1: single step of the way, I'm thought, why am I
- 25:01Speaker 1: doing this? Every single step of the way, I've had
- 25:03Speaker 1: doubts whether I've got the ability to do it. I
- 25:05Speaker 1: push myself through all that. I'm a better person because
- 25:08Speaker 1: of it. And even if I get no views on
- 25:10Speaker 1: this video, at least I tried. At least I'm trying
- 25:14Speaker 1: to be better. And that's what will give you the
- 25:16Speaker 1: life you want, because you try to be better. In
- 25:19Speaker 1: this video, I've given you everything you need to make
- 25:21Speaker 1: your social media journey both enjoyable, successful, and scalable. Maybe
- 25:25Speaker 1: you need to go back and watch it again and
- 25:26Speaker 1: take notes. Save this video. I don't know what you
- 25:28Speaker 1: need to do. Do not stop until it works. Your
- 25:32Speaker 1: life can be better if you apply yourself using knowledge
- 25:36Speaker 1: like this. You don't need a mentor. You just need
- 25:38Speaker 1: to get the knowledge from the people that have it.
- 25:40Speaker 1: And I have it. I'm giving it to you for free.
- 25:42Speaker 1: Please share it with others. Let's make other people's lives better.
- 25:45Speaker 1: Thank you so much for listening today. If you enjoyed
