- 0:55Speaker 5: Let me ask you a question, Judy, what has been
- 1:00Speaker 5: one of the most valuable lessons you've learned as an adult?
- 1:05Speaker 2: Just one?
- 1:06Speaker 3: Oh? Not not to quit? Not to quit.
- 1:10Speaker 4: The most important thing I've learned is not to quit.
- 1:13Speaker 4: You know, considering everything that I've been through and I'm
- 1:16Speaker 4: still here. I just learned not to quit.
- 1:18Speaker 5: Okay, okay, what's the most important thing you've learned about
- 1:24Speaker 5: women since you've been married?
- 1:27Speaker 4: M hm oh just give her what she wants so
- 1:30Speaker 4: she be quiet it is. Yeah, yeah, Remember I tried
- 1:39Speaker 4: to fight it and you told me you're doing it
- 1:41Speaker 4: the wrong way.
- 1:43Speaker 2: You're gonna lose that.
- 1:44Speaker 5: It's not a have you have you figured out, uh
- 1:50Speaker 5: the percentage that you that your wife and your relationship
- 1:54Speaker 5: is operating under.
- 1:55Speaker 3: Yeah, five to five.
- 2:00Speaker 2: I'm assuming you got to five. Yeah, I got I
- 2:02Speaker 2: got fight some day.
- 2:05Speaker 5: Yeah, okay, go ahead, man, you can ask me a
- 2:09Speaker 5: question now.
- 2:11Speaker 1: Yeah, he did ask you a question.
- 2:15Speaker 2: Well, I forgot what it was, sir, I was saying.
- 2:19Speaker 3: Answer. Let me just ask you again.
- 2:22Speaker 4: You got the phone call this morning from somebody who
- 2:24Speaker 4: says they want your forgiveness, and you just said you
- 2:27Speaker 4: forgave them, we can start.
- 2:28Speaker 3: Fresh, and you had no bitiness about it.
- 2:31Speaker 4: But what was the important of forgiving him after of
- 2:34Speaker 4: things he did to you, after everything he's done.
- 2:36Speaker 5: Well, but you know what I discovered though, If you
- 2:40Speaker 5: don't forgive, if you hang on to it, show me
- 2:43Speaker 5: the benefit for you to hang on to something. Show
- 2:49Speaker 5: me how if you continue to hold that against this person,
- 2:55Speaker 5: if you don't forgive them, if you keep belaboring the point,
- 3:00Speaker 5: if you keep allowing what he did to be a
- 3:04Speaker 5: part of your day whenever his name is brought up.
- 3:08Speaker 5: Just tell me the one benefit it is to you?
- 3:13Speaker 5: Just show me just any benefit. Does it make you
- 3:16Speaker 5: feel better? Do you have a sense of power? Is
- 3:20Speaker 5: it is?
- 3:21Speaker 1: It?
- 3:22Speaker 5: Is it? Is it enlightening? Do you feel a sense
- 3:26Speaker 5: of control?
- 3:27Speaker 2: What is it?
- 3:29Speaker 5: Because when I don't forgive a person all I feel
- 3:34Speaker 5: every time their name comes up, every time this subject
- 3:37Speaker 5: comes up, it just conjures a sickening feeling in me.
- 3:44Speaker 5: It brings back all the reasons I don't like them.
- 3:48Speaker 5: But when it does that, I had to finally ask
- 3:52Speaker 5: myself what is the benefit?
- 3:55Speaker 2: See?
- 3:55Speaker 5: I stopped holding grudges a long time ago because I found, man,
- 4:00Speaker 5: there's just no benefit in it to me.
- 4:03Speaker 2: Can I tell you something.
- 4:06Speaker 5: The person that you hate that you don't forgive that
- 4:11Speaker 5: doundone you wrong?
- 4:13Speaker 2: They don't hardly think about it.
- 4:15Speaker 5: Man, They just in their life, living their life however
- 4:18Speaker 5: they gonna live it. You over here with all these
- 4:20Speaker 5: deep concerns and all this here getting mad every time
- 4:24Speaker 5: they name, come over, rehashing it, retelling it, reliving it. Man,
- 4:30Speaker 5: and them people sometimes have moved up, don't even remember
- 4:33Speaker 5: what they did to you. They probably the moved on
- 4:36Speaker 5: doing something to somebody else. And at the end of
- 4:40Speaker 5: the day, man, it's just you as the non forgiver.
- 4:44Speaker 5: It has no benefit to you. Now, I'll tell you what.
- 4:48Speaker 5: When you do forgive them, guess what it does. It
- 4:52Speaker 5: frees you. It allows you no longer when they name
- 4:57Speaker 5: is brought up, that you have to conjure up the
- 4:59Speaker 5: incident again, that you have to relive the moment, that
- 5:02Speaker 5: you have to rehash the feeling.
- 5:05Speaker 2: You actually free yourself. So for me, man, I don't
- 5:10Speaker 2: even care.
- 5:11Speaker 5: I'm gonna tell you somebody else recently called me and
- 5:15Speaker 5: asked me for something. And the thing of it is
- 5:18Speaker 5: is this guy has gotten into several situations and called
- 5:23Speaker 5: me and I've always assisted him. But this time I
- 5:28Speaker 5: just said, hey, man, I'm gonna play this fool right now. Man,
- 5:31Speaker 5: I'm going through a lot of stuff. And he went
- 5:33Speaker 5: into the Oh, so you don't remember what I did
- 5:35Speaker 5: for you? Oh? Never no money, just a favor he
- 5:39Speaker 5: did for me. When I was forty. This guy did
- 5:43Speaker 5: a favor for me when I was forty. Do you
- 5:47Speaker 5: know he still brings that favor up every time he
- 5:50Speaker 5: wants something, He brings that favor up. He did for
- 5:54Speaker 5: me twenty nine years ago. And I used to feel
- 6:01Speaker 5: guilty in sending him a little something. And the other
- 6:04Speaker 5: day I just didn't want to. I say, hey, man,
- 6:06Speaker 5: I'm full. I'm going through some things right now. Also,
- 6:09Speaker 5: when I was there for you, brother Ayman doman favorite,
- 6:11Speaker 5: stop reminding me of that. You know, it's just people.
- 6:16Speaker 5: And but but you know what, I even let him go.
- 6:18Speaker 5: I just said, okay, he said, so I'm gonna delete
- 6:21Speaker 5: your number. Man, do you promt?
- 6:25Speaker 3: Bye?
- 6:26Speaker 5: Bye?
- 6:30Speaker 2: Hey, y'all have my very things today. I'm sorry from
- 6:34Speaker 2: what I said. Y'all talk to God. He loved me.
