- 4:23Speaker 2: the scriptures O God, that we're gonna go over. Repray
- 4:26Speaker 2: over Father God, the revelation of your word. Help us
- 4:29Speaker 2: to be good stewards and rightly divide the word of truth. Father, God,
- 4:35Speaker 2: help us to live, not just speak it over the podcast,
- 4:38Speaker 2: but to truly live it out Lord in our lives.
- 4:41Speaker 2: Old God, give us hearts, So God that Old God
- 4:44Speaker 2: wholeheartedly trust you. Lord. We have been bought with the price. Lord.
- 4:48Speaker 2: We are not our own Lord. So help us so God,
- 4:51Speaker 2: to do the things that are pleasing unto the Father.
- 4:53Speaker 2: Each and every day we ask for your grace to
- 4:56Speaker 2: do so. God. We ask Lord that every ear will hear.
- 5:00Speaker 2: Year Old God, this podcast. Who this podcast is intended
- 5:03Speaker 2: to God? Yeah, I said in Jesus' name, Hey man
- 5:09Speaker 2: and amen. All right now, as I said a minute ago,
- 5:13Speaker 2: we are in the Book of Jeremiah, and I really
- 5:20Speaker 2: have to say that today's passage is one of the
- 5:27Speaker 2: most sobering in the Book of Jeremiah. From one God
- 5:33Speaker 2: exposes the danger of false prophets, warns against believing conforming
- 5:42Speaker 2: to lies instead of His truth. You know, God holds
- 5:47Speaker 2: us accountable. But we're gonna get into that. We're going
- 5:51Speaker 2: to get into that. Andy reminds us that true hope
- 5:55Speaker 2: is found only in him. He is the only one
- 5:59Speaker 2: back save us that can help us. He has saved
- 6:02Speaker 2: me and delivered me time and time again. I can't
- 6:05Speaker 2: tell you how thankful I am so This passion right
- 6:09Speaker 2: here also reveals something about God's character. He is patient,
- 6:13Speaker 2: but he is also holy. He will offer us mercy,
- 6:22Speaker 2: but he will not ignore persistent rebellion, even when it's
- 6:29Speaker 2: covered up right, even the small compromises. See, we like
- 6:35Speaker 2: to take God's grace for granted. We like to say, well,
- 6:37Speaker 2: I'm a sin today because God will forgive me. I've
- 6:41Speaker 2: been there, beloved, I've done it. I'll be transparent. First. First,
- 6:48Speaker 2: when I said that I need to repent, I went
- 6:50Speaker 2: out there and I straight up sin, and I just
- 6:55Speaker 2: knew assume that God would. God is a forgiving God.
- 6:58Speaker 2: So I can sin and I can do what I
- 7:01Speaker 2: want to do. And that is abusing the grace of God.
- 7:05Speaker 2: That is the wrong, That is deception, because if I
- 7:08Speaker 2: would have died, I would have went straight to hell.
- 7:14Speaker 2: I was in sexual morality, especially my younger years. Of
- 7:17Speaker 2: my salvation, there were so many things that I was
- 7:20Speaker 2: involved in. I am so thankful that God's grace is
- 7:26Speaker 2: still in my life. And man, God could have taken
- 7:31Speaker 2: me out time and time again. But yet I'm still here,
- 7:35Speaker 2: and it's only because of God. Hallelujah. I am not
- 7:42Speaker 2: where I should be. I should be out pastoring somewhere,
- 7:46Speaker 2: but I have compromised over the years and abused the
- 7:50Speaker 2: grace of God. And I'm thankful that I'm still here
- 7:56Speaker 2: so I can relate. I see myself when I read
- 8:01Speaker 2: this book of Jeremiah. Amen. All right, Time to get
- 8:09Speaker 2: into the scripture. Verse eleven. Then the Lord said to me,
- 8:15Speaker 2: do not pray for this people, and do not pray
- 8:20Speaker 2: for their good. Now there's something I do want to correct.
- 8:25Speaker 2: In the last episode. I was reading it as if
- 8:31Speaker 2: the people were speaking unto the Lord. Where there is
- 8:36Speaker 2: an element of that, there is a place where we're
- 8:40Speaker 2: gonna see. But actually it was Jeremiah was interceding for
- 8:45Speaker 2: the people. He was looking at the consequences of their sin,
- 8:50Speaker 2: and he was looking at the drought in the land
- 8:52Speaker 2: and how bad the conditions were. And so Jeremiah was like,
- 8:55Speaker 2: can you bring some relief, can you allow some rain?
- 9:00Speaker 2: Could you just do a little something for the people.
- 9:04Speaker 2: And so this was God's answer to his prayer. He's like,
- 9:09Speaker 2: do not, I mean, excuse me, it's not funny at all.
- 9:12Speaker 2: It isn't. I mean, we cannot imagine God telling someone
- 9:17Speaker 2: not to pray, right, not to intercede, knowing God's heart,
- 9:22Speaker 2: knowing that God doesn't want to judge, and he gives
- 9:26Speaker 2: us warning after warning, but he's telling his intercessery Jeremiah
- 9:32Speaker 2: not to pray for their good. He didn't want them
- 9:36Speaker 2: to have a relief or a reprieve from the judgment
- 9:40Speaker 2: that is coming. And this is sobering. My pastor told
- 9:48Speaker 2: me a story about a man at his uncle's church
- 9:53Speaker 2: who came up for prayer and God told his uncle
- 9:58Speaker 2: he couldn't pray to pray for this man. That would
- 10:02Speaker 2: be terrifying. That would be a terrifying place to be
- 10:07Speaker 2: where God is like, uh, don't even pray. And that's
- 10:12Speaker 2: where this nation found themselves. Could America find themselves in
- 10:17Speaker 2: the place where God will say, don't even pray for
- 10:20Speaker 2: this country, because I'm going to punish them for their sins.
- 10:25Speaker 2: I hope not. I hope that America will get it
- 10:29Speaker 2: right verse twelve. When they fast, I will not hear
- 10:34Speaker 2: their cry. And when they offer burnt offering in grain offering,
- 10:41Speaker 2: I will not accept them, but I will consume them
- 10:46Speaker 2: by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence.
- 10:52Speaker 2: Now that's judgment. It's threefold the sword. So if we
- 10:57Speaker 2: want to interpret it for today, they're gonna get shot up, right,
- 11:04Speaker 2: They're gonna just come do drive bys. They're just gonna come.
- 11:07Speaker 2: The bullets are gonna rain, their house is gonna get
- 11:10Speaker 2: shot up. Right. Famine, then we all know what. We
- 11:15Speaker 2: can all relate to family and in every generation where
- 11:18Speaker 2: there's no food, no supplies. And I do want to
- 11:22Speaker 2: say something about Las Vegas, Nevada, and here these western
- 11:28Speaker 2: states out here, the water is drying up. We've been
- 11:31Speaker 2: in a drought for years. And Lake Mead looks like
- 11:38Speaker 2: a bath you know, the ring and the bathtub. Right,
- 11:43Speaker 2: It's like there's a bathtub ring in the lake where
- 11:48Speaker 2: you can see where the water level used to be,
- 11:51Speaker 2: and it's getting lower and lower. And so could this
- 11:55Speaker 2: be a judgment of God? Right? Could this be a sage,
- 12:00Speaker 2: a warning that God is giving to us as a country.
- 12:05Speaker 2: And pestilence. We all can remember COVID and there's still
- 12:09Speaker 2: things out there. They just are not seeing it in
- 12:13Speaker 2: the news like they were before. And so he also
- 12:21Speaker 2: says when they fast, now I don't know about you,
- 12:27Speaker 2: but I like to eat. I really enjoy food. It's
- 12:31Speaker 2: one of the things that I enjoy. I enjoy they
- 12:35Speaker 2: take my wife out to find restaurants and grab something
- 12:40Speaker 2: to eat. But if you're going to fast, I have
- 12:46Speaker 2: fasted before. I've done a twenty one day fast. I
- 12:50Speaker 2: have fasted, and it's not easy. But if you're going
- 12:55Speaker 2: to fast, let it count. If you're going to deny
- 13:01Speaker 2: your flesh and go through all those hunger pains and
- 13:05Speaker 2: then God says he's not going to receive it, that
- 13:10Speaker 2: is crazy to me. Right, So they're sitting here fasting,
- 13:16Speaker 2: and he said he will not hear their cry. So
- 13:20Speaker 2: they're doing some type of religious activity. They're praying, they're fasting,
- 13:24Speaker 2: they're offering burnt offerings, which they were supposed to do
- 13:28Speaker 2: according to the Law of Moses. The burnt offering was
- 13:32Speaker 2: supposed to be the blood was supposed to cover their sins.
- 13:37Speaker 2: And so it showed you that even the burnt offering
- 13:42Speaker 2: and the sacrifice cannot save you if you don't have
- 13:48Speaker 2: a sincere heart of faith and obedience. They gave their
- 13:52Speaker 2: grain offerings, so they paid their ties. So religious activity
- 13:57Speaker 2: fasting and praying in religious activity, even crying out for
- 14:06Speaker 2: forgiveness and repentance, can be of no value if you
- 14:15Speaker 2: don't have a heart of faith and obedience. Because his
- 14:18Speaker 2: response is I'm sending the sword, the famine and the pestilence.
- 14:24Speaker 2: He did not accept their religious activities verse thirteen. Then
- 14:31Speaker 2: I said, Ah, Lord, God, behold the prophets. Say to them,
- 14:36Speaker 2: you shall not see the sword, nor shall you have famine,
- 14:41Speaker 2: But I will give you assured, assured peace in this place. Now,
- 14:49Speaker 2: Jeremiah is talking about the false prophets that were deceiving
- 14:53Speaker 2: the people. Even though judgment was coming. The false prophet
- 14:57Speaker 2: told him not to worry about it, and look at
- 15:01Speaker 2: the Lord's response in verse fourteen, And the Lord said
- 15:04Speaker 2: to me, thet's prophesie lies in my name. How dangerous
- 15:11Speaker 2: that is, and how many false prophets are out there today,
- 15:17Speaker 2: especially now since we have social media, we have the Internet.
- 15:24Speaker 2: You don't even have to go through the ranks of
- 15:28Speaker 2: a church to try to get some type of following
- 15:33Speaker 2: as a false prophet. You can just push a button
- 15:36Speaker 2: and go live in a mass a great following as
- 15:42Speaker 2: a false prophet. Now, what qualifies them to be a
- 15:45Speaker 2: false prophet? God says, I have not sent them, So
- 15:50Speaker 2: they were not sent, so that means that they went.
- 15:55Speaker 2: So we got to be careful even in our ministries
- 15:58Speaker 2: that we are not just those who just went on
- 16:02Speaker 2: our own. We have to pray and ask God to
- 16:06Speaker 2: lead us in our ministry, to lead us in our activity.
- 16:12Speaker 2: My wife and I we talk about doing good things
- 16:14Speaker 2: versus godly things. Just because it's a good thing doesn't
- 16:18Speaker 2: mean it's God. But it doesn't mean we have to
- 16:21Speaker 2: be at every outreach, every ministry out there doing whatever.
- 16:29Speaker 2: We need to pray and ask God, is this the
- 16:32Speaker 2: ministry that you want me to invest in, to build
- 16:35Speaker 2: and to be a part of. But these false prophets
- 16:40Speaker 2: just went on their own. She did not command them
- 16:46Speaker 2: to do what they're doing, nor spoken to them so
- 16:50Speaker 2: the Lord. So there was no relationship here. They didn't
- 16:54Speaker 2: spend time at Jesus' feet, They didn't spend time in prayer,
- 16:59Speaker 2: in their prayer closet, asking the Lord, what do you
- 17:03Speaker 2: want me to do? I want to do something. We
- 17:06Speaker 2: all have a part to do in this generation. We
- 17:10Speaker 2: all have people to reach, we all have souls to say.
- 17:13Speaker 2: Have you ever thought that there are some people in
- 17:18Speaker 2: eternity that will not make it into the kingdom because
- 17:23Speaker 2: you did not do what God designed you to do.
- 17:29Speaker 2: You were not in position, you were not there to
- 17:32Speaker 2: reach them, because you were not where God wanted you
- 17:35Speaker 2: to be. Or I can even apply this to myself
- 17:39Speaker 2: where I'm supposed to be. He man, I'm always praying
- 17:43Speaker 2: over his hot nation. I'm praying over this podcast, and
- 17:47Speaker 2: I'm praying, you know, the day if the Lord wanted
- 17:50Speaker 2: me to shut it all down, I have to be obedient,
- 17:55Speaker 2: and I have to be willing to shut it all
- 17:57Speaker 2: down if that is a lord's will. So he did
- 18:05Speaker 2: not command them, He did not speak to them. They
- 18:07Speaker 2: prophesied to you a false vision, divination. Now it turns
- 18:14Speaker 2: to the point where it gets demonic. Have you noticed
- 18:17Speaker 2: that there are so many people, especially this generation, who
- 18:21Speaker 2: have a spiritual hunger because they have a spiritual hunger,
- 18:29Speaker 2: and if they don't turn that hunger towards God, people
- 18:35Speaker 2: will get caught up in a lot of things like witchcraft,
- 18:40Speaker 2: people worship Satan. There's a lot of things you can
- 18:45Speaker 2: get involved in spiritually that is not of God. And
- 18:50Speaker 2: right here it says it turned into a false vision,
- 18:54Speaker 2: even divination, it turned demonic, and he said, it's a
- 19:00Speaker 2: worthless thing. It is worthless to be a false prophet.
- 19:06Speaker 2: If there are any false prophets or false teachers, false
- 19:10Speaker 2: brethren or sisters who are listening to this podcast, I
- 19:14Speaker 2: pray that you will repent because it's worthless, Like who
- 19:19Speaker 2: are you fooling? Like you're only deceiving yourself because the
- 19:24Speaker 2: enemy is going to betray you. At the end of
- 19:28Speaker 2: this road, you will have to punish. You will be punishing.
- 19:32Speaker 2: You will be punished for every person that you deceived
- 19:36Speaker 2: and led us stray from God. So God said, it's
- 19:40Speaker 2: a worthless thing. And the deceit of their hearts. Here
- 19:46Speaker 2: we go again, right, The Book of Jeremiah warns us
- 19:51Speaker 2: not to follow the dictates of our own heart. So
- 19:54Speaker 2: maybe there was a jealousy or an envy or desire
- 19:59Speaker 2: for them to be a prophet. Instead of going through
- 20:03Speaker 2: the ranks, right, instead of being disciples, and instead of
- 20:06Speaker 2: being trained, and instead of allowing God to show them
- 20:09Speaker 2: how to tap into their gifts, they followed the desire
- 20:14Speaker 2: and the deceit of their own heart. And they decided
- 20:16Speaker 2: to do it their own way. And that is deadly.
- 20:21Speaker 2: The Bible says our heart is evil and desperately wicked.
- 20:24Speaker 2: Who can know it? We cannot trust our own hearts.
- 20:29Speaker 2: We always have to bring it before the word. Amen fatig. Therefore,
- 20:36Speaker 2: thus says the Lord concerning the prophets who prophesy in
- 20:40Speaker 2: my name, whom I did not send, and who say
- 20:46Speaker 2: sword and famine shall not be in this land. Now,
- 20:51Speaker 2: I want you to pay attention to this. By the
- 20:55Speaker 2: sword and famine, those prophets shall be consumed. Okay. So
- 21:01Speaker 2: it's one thing to deceive the people, and you're speaking
- 21:05Speaker 2: against the judgment of God. And now the judgment of
- 21:09Speaker 2: God has turned against them. The very thing they were
- 21:12Speaker 2: prophesying against is going to happen to them. But I
- 21:15Speaker 2: want you to keep paying attention verse sixteen. And the
- 21:19Speaker 2: people to whom they prophesy shall be cast out in
- 21:23Speaker 2: the streets of Jerusalem because of the famine and the sword.
- 21:29Speaker 2: They will have no one to bury them them, nor
- 21:34Speaker 2: their wives, their sons, nor their daughters, for I will
- 21:39Speaker 2: pour their wickedness on them. Now, what I wanted you
- 21:44Speaker 2: to see is this. I can understand the false prophets
- 21:51Speaker 2: being judged. But he said the people whom they prophesied
- 21:57Speaker 2: to now wouldn't you think. I think that they would
- 22:01Speaker 2: be like victims. Like if I came up to somebody
- 22:07Speaker 2: and I just totally tricked them and took their money,
- 22:12Speaker 2: I scammed them, or I told them, you know, to
- 22:15Speaker 2: buy this product, you know, give me your life savings,
- 22:18Speaker 2: and I ended up selling them snake oil. Right, you
- 22:24Speaker 2: would think that those people got ripped off, like you
- 22:30Speaker 2: know what I mean, like the people were innocent, or
- 22:33Speaker 2: you know, the people need to be restored or rescued
- 22:37Speaker 2: or you know. And there is a lot of places
- 22:41Speaker 2: in the scripture where the Bible says the Lord will
- 22:43Speaker 2: take up the cause of the widows, the fatherless, and
- 22:47Speaker 2: those who cannot defend themselves. But notice that he doesn't
- 22:53Speaker 2: defend the people. So what does this tells us? This
- 22:58Speaker 2: tells us that if you are deceived by a false prophet,
- 23:04Speaker 2: you are held as accountable as the false prophet is.
- 23:09Speaker 2: They're getting the same exact judgment as a false prophet.
- 23:16Speaker 2: And it's even worse than that because their bodies are
- 23:19Speaker 2: going to be left in the streets and they're not
- 23:23Speaker 2: going to be buried. There's gonna be no one to
- 23:25Speaker 2: bury them, so they're going to be left to wolves
- 23:28Speaker 2: and wild animals to eat their carcasses, So why would
- 23:36Speaker 2: the people get judged that were deceived by the false prophets.
- 23:40Speaker 2: This shows us, beloved, that we are accountable to everything
- 23:47Speaker 2: we listen to, every podcast, every preacher, every sermon. We
- 23:53Speaker 2: are accountable to test the spirits. We have the word
- 23:59Speaker 2: of God. We are accountable everything that we hear. And
- 24:04Speaker 2: I say, I hope that. That's why I hope the
- 24:07Speaker 2: people who listen to this podcast read it scriptures for
- 24:10Speaker 2: themselves so that they could know if I take a
- 24:14Speaker 2: left turn and I start singing something false. That's why
- 24:17Speaker 2: I took the time out to even correct myself at
- 24:20Speaker 2: the beginning of this podcast, because it was in our
- 24:24Speaker 2: last episode it was Jeremiah interceding for the people, and
- 24:30Speaker 2: I failed to bring that out. I mean, there's one
- 24:33Speaker 2: thing when you make a mistake and you correct it,
- 24:35Speaker 2: you try to stay faithful and true, which I don't
- 24:38Speaker 2: want any smoke with God. So I fear God, so
- 24:42Speaker 2: I'm going to do everything in my power to stay
- 24:45Speaker 2: in his good graces. Right, But you are accountable as
- 24:52Speaker 2: a listener or a follower, or those who have submitted
- 24:58Speaker 2: themselves to this ministry. You're accountable before God. To make
- 25:04Speaker 2: sure I'm accurate, to make sure you're not following something
- 25:09Speaker 2: that is false, make sure that you're not following false doctrine,
- 25:13Speaker 2: false teaching. Think about the false religious systems in this world.
- 25:20Speaker 2: The Mormon Church. I'm sorry, but it is false teaching.
- 25:26Speaker 2: And just the other day, I came out of my
- 25:27Speaker 2: house and some Mormon guy across the street yells at me,
- 25:31Speaker 2: you know, he's at somebody else's house, and I'm like,
- 25:35Speaker 2: you know, I'm already late. You know, sometimes I like
- 25:37Speaker 2: to debate with him and try to talk to him.
- 25:39Speaker 2: I used to do that a lot my younger years,
- 25:42Speaker 2: but I'm in a place now where I don't even
- 25:45Speaker 2: want to tolerate false teaching. And he tried to come,
- 25:49Speaker 2: and you know, and he wanted to talk, and I'm like, uh,
- 25:52Speaker 2: you know, I gotta go or whatever. But we are
- 25:55Speaker 2: accountable to test every spirit, to test every teaching against
- 26:02Speaker 2: the Word of God. And see the reason why the
- 26:05Speaker 2: false prophets prospers because they touch on things that will
- 26:11Speaker 2: minister to the evil dictates of our own hearts, things
- 26:14Speaker 2: that we want to hear, things that we want to follow,
- 26:17Speaker 2: is already in our hearts. Right to follow these things
- 26:22Speaker 2: because we've given into the evil dictates of our heart.
- 26:25Speaker 2: Now we got someone that tells us we're okay to
- 26:28Speaker 2: live this wicked lifestyle. That's why you see so many
- 26:31Speaker 2: homosexual pastors out there, and so many false teachers out there.
- 26:37Speaker 2: It's a judgment against the people ultimately, so they're going
- 26:42Speaker 2: to receive the severe judgment just as well as a
- 26:47Speaker 2: false prophet. And God said he will pour out their
- 26:53Speaker 2: wickedness upon them Verse seventeen. Therefore you shall say to this,
- 27:00Speaker 2: say this word to them. Let my eyes flow with
- 27:03Speaker 2: tears night and day, and let them not cease. For
- 27:11Speaker 2: the virgin daughter of my people has been broken with
- 27:15Speaker 2: a mighty stroke, with a very severe blow. If I
- 27:21Speaker 2: go out to the field, then behold those slain with
- 27:25Speaker 2: the sword. And if I enter the city, then behold
- 27:30Speaker 2: those sick from famine. Yes, both prophet and priests go
- 27:36Speaker 2: about in the land. They do not know. Now this
- 27:42Speaker 2: right here is showing us how severe that this judgment
- 27:48Speaker 2: is coming upon this city. And let my eyes flow
- 27:58Speaker 2: with tears night and day, and let them not cease. Now.
- 28:03Speaker 2: Jeremiah is known as the weeping prophet Jeremiah. He says
- 28:10Speaker 2: repeatedly that his tears will flow down his face. Now,
- 28:19Speaker 2: that is a great picture of a man of God,
- 28:24Speaker 2: as a minister of God. When you see people reap
- 28:28Speaker 2: the consequences of their own uniquality and wickedness, we're not
- 28:32Speaker 2: supposed to gloat. We're not supposed to be prideful. We're
- 28:35Speaker 2: not supposed to rejoice. We are supposed to shed tears
- 28:40Speaker 2: over the devastation that has been caused by their sin. Now,
- 28:47Speaker 2: this is a picture of Jesus himself. Now, a lot
- 28:53Speaker 2: of people would think that according to God's representatives on
- 28:59Speaker 2: this earth, right, there's been a lot of people who
- 29:02Speaker 2: represented God in their ministry. I'm talking about pastors, prophets, teachers,
- 29:07Speaker 2: things like that. They are charged to represent God when
- 29:13Speaker 2: they speak for God, and some of them, you would
- 29:18Speaker 2: think that God is just extremely upset with the people
- 29:22Speaker 2: the way that some people preach like they're spitting fire.
- 29:27Speaker 2: You know, even Moses. Let's think about Moses in the Bible.
- 29:31Speaker 2: When Moses was disqualified to lead the people into the
- 29:35Speaker 2: Promised Land, he was disqualified because he misrepresented God when
- 29:42Speaker 2: they needed water. God knew that the people needed water.
- 29:45Speaker 2: God is compassionate. He knew that they needed water to
- 29:48Speaker 2: survive in the wilderness. But Moses was upset because if
- 29:52Speaker 2: people constantly got in his case, they're constantly murmuring and
- 29:58Speaker 2: in and they would express their dysfaction with Moses and
- 30:04Speaker 2: his leadership. And so Moses got frustrated. He had it
- 30:08Speaker 2: with the people, and the Lord told him to speak
- 30:12Speaker 2: to the rock so that they could get their water.
- 30:17Speaker 2: But Moses came out and he was like yelling at him,
- 30:20Speaker 2: must you rebels, Must we get you this water and
- 30:23Speaker 2: all that stuff. You know, I'm paraphrasing it. But he
- 30:25Speaker 2: had some words and then he went and he smoked
- 30:28Speaker 2: the rock. He hit the rock and water gushed out.
- 30:32Speaker 2: And then God says, Moses, pam here, kam Here's son,
- 30:35Speaker 2: and we need to talk. And he said, you misrepresented
- 30:39Speaker 2: me before the people. I didn't tell you to smite
- 30:43Speaker 2: the rock. I told you to speak to the rock.
- 30:48Speaker 2: And so the reason why I brought that out is
- 30:50Speaker 2: because Jeremiah represents true ministry. For the simple fact that
- 31:00Speaker 2: if you look at Jesus in the New Testament, and
- 31:04Speaker 2: Jesus looked at the Temple, and he looked at Jerusalem,
- 31:10Speaker 2: and this was more recent, this was like two thousand
- 31:13Speaker 2: years ago, right he looked at them and he mourned.
- 31:18Speaker 2: The Bible says that Jesus wept, and he wept because
- 31:22Speaker 2: of the judgment that was gonna come. Jesus said that
- 31:26Speaker 2: there would be no stone left on top of another.
- 31:30Speaker 2: Concerning the templemen the disciples, they admired the infrastructure and
- 31:36Speaker 2: the architectural wonders of the temple, and they admired how
- 31:40Speaker 2: beautiful it was built. And Jesus pointed out that no
- 31:44Speaker 2: stone would be left on top of another. The judgment
- 31:48Speaker 2: was coming, and Jesus himself wept over the calamity the
- 31:54Speaker 2: destruction that would come upon the land. Once again, this
- 32:01Speaker 2: has happened to Jerusalem time and time again. So at
- 32:06Speaker 2: this particular time, Jeremiah is weeping over the destruction of
- 32:13Speaker 2: the people. Now verse nineteen, have you utterly rejected Judah?
- 32:22Speaker 2: Now this point, right here, the people themselves are crying out. Now.
- 32:32Speaker 2: As I said before, people can repent, but it could
- 32:37Speaker 2: be a false repentance. People could try to ask for forgiveness,
- 32:42Speaker 2: and it could be a false motive behind their their
- 32:46Speaker 2: actions and activities because they just don't want the consequences
- 32:51Speaker 2: of their sin. They're not heartbroken over the sin they're
- 32:55Speaker 2: not touched by the simple fact that they broke God's heart,
- 33:00Speaker 2: broke fellowship with God and the price that God paid
- 33:05Speaker 2: just to be able to forgive us. We should be
- 33:08Speaker 2: weeping and broken over our sin. That should bring us
- 33:13Speaker 2: to repentance. But they just didn't want the consequences. They
- 33:18Speaker 2: were experiencing famine, they were experiencing lack. An army was
- 33:23Speaker 2: about to invade them, and so they just wanted to
- 33:27Speaker 2: escape that. And God did not receive it. And so
- 33:31Speaker 2: the people are pleaing once again for mercy, and NINETEENA says,
- 33:35Speaker 2: have you utterly rejected Judah? Has your soul lolled? Zion?
- 33:42Speaker 2: Why have you strucken us so that there is no
- 33:46Speaker 2: healing for us? We looked for peace, but there was
- 33:52Speaker 2: no good. And for the time of healing, and there
- 33:58Speaker 2: was trouble. We acknowledge, oh Lord, our wickedness. Now you
- 34:04Speaker 2: would think that this is what the Lord wanted to hear. Right,
- 34:08Speaker 2: they're acknowledging their wickedness and their iniquity and the iniquity
- 34:15Speaker 2: of our fathers. For we have sinned against you. Do
- 34:20Speaker 2: not abhor us for your namesake. Now they're pleading out.
- 34:27Speaker 2: If it's not for our sake, at least for your namesake, right,
- 34:31Speaker 2: because they figured that they were the inheritance of the Lord.
- 34:35Speaker 2: They were the nation that God has separated unto himself.
- 34:40Speaker 2: He put his name there upon the nation. And so
- 34:44Speaker 2: for your namesake, they're asking for mercy. And it says,
- 34:49Speaker 2: do not disgrace the throne of your glory. But see
- 34:55Speaker 2: here is the misunderstanding. It wasn't that God disgraced the throne.
- 35:03Speaker 2: They already disgraced it. It was by their actions and
- 35:07Speaker 2: their lifestyle that they've already done this. And they say, remember,
- 35:13Speaker 2: do not break your covenant with us. What how are
- 35:18Speaker 2: they going to put that on God when they've been
- 35:20Speaker 2: breaking their covenant from day one almost And so they're
- 35:27Speaker 2: pleading for God not to do these things. But it's
- 35:32Speaker 2: very hypocritical because they've been doing this to God the
- 35:35Speaker 2: whole time. In verse twenty two, are there any among
- 35:41Speaker 2: the idols of the nations that can cause rain? Now
- 35:45Speaker 2: they're finally realizing this, right, because they are accepting a
- 35:48Speaker 2: severe family and none of their idols were able to
- 35:52Speaker 2: relieve them. A lot of their idols that they would
- 35:55Speaker 2: worship back in the day, they would ask for a
- 35:58Speaker 2: certain certain things. They were ask for certain blessings. There
- 36:02Speaker 2: was an idol that they would worship so that they
- 36:06Speaker 2: would get a good crap. They wanted to get a
- 36:10Speaker 2: good harvest. There were some idols that they would worship,
- 36:13Speaker 2: and they were asked for rain, and they would ask
- 36:16Speaker 2: for provision. They wanted to be blessed of their business
- 36:19Speaker 2: and their endeavors. And I imagine that they cried out
- 36:23Speaker 2: to these certain idols. These idols did not answer them.
- 36:28Speaker 2: So they're coming to realize that these idols among the
- 36:33Speaker 2: nations cannot cause rams, they cannot do what they promised,
- 36:40Speaker 2: or can the heavens give showers. This was a hard
- 36:46Speaker 2: reality checkpoint. Are you not he, Oh Lord, our God?
- 36:53Speaker 2: Therefore we will wait for you, since you had made
- 36:58Speaker 2: all things. This is his progress, right. I think that Okay,
- 37:05Speaker 2: they finally get it. They finally repented. They're finally acknowledging
- 37:11Speaker 2: that God is the God of heaven and God is
- 37:14Speaker 2: the only one, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob
- 37:19Speaker 2: is the only one that can provide the provisions that
- 37:23Speaker 2: they need. But as good Bible students that we are,
- 37:29Speaker 2: we still know that God judged the nation. So what happened?
- 37:38Speaker 2: You would think that this would be it. You would
- 37:40Speaker 2: think they said the right words. You would think that
- 37:44Speaker 2: this would turn things around for them. Well, you're gonna
- 37:49Speaker 2: have to find out on the next episode because it's
- 37:52Speaker 2: time for our break.
- 37:54Speaker 4: You are listening to the light of Las Vegas. This
- 37:58Speaker 4: is the hiss Hop radio show.

- 39:41Speaker 2: Dump.
- 39:58Speaker 4: You are listening to the light of Las Vegas. This
- 40:02Speaker 4: is the His Hop radio show.
- 40:21Speaker 2: All right, job, we are back once again.
- 40:24Speaker 3: We are back.
- 40:28Speaker 2: We want to thank you for kicking it with us
- 40:32Speaker 2: right here only His Hot radio podcast.
- 40:38Speaker 3: That was child like CC on our musical break with
- 40:44Speaker 3: duh Right, it's like duh.
- 40:49Speaker 2: We knew that guy was gonna do what he do.
- 40:51Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying, and so make sure you like, follow, subscribe.
- 40:55Speaker 2: We want to support those on the front line, those
- 40:58Speaker 2: who choose not to compromise and give into today's culture
- 41:06Speaker 2: of being a cultural Christian. But we have to be
- 41:09Speaker 2: sold out Christians and now so anyway, now it's time
- 41:15Speaker 2: for the Accountability Partners segment. But where we're going there,
- 41:19Speaker 2: I want to give a shout out to the Life
- 41:21Speaker 2: Chat shout out to a brother Zone three said my brother.
- 41:25Speaker 2: We appreciate you man. It's encouraging every time to log
- 41:28Speaker 2: in ping us on the podcast. I want to give
- 41:32Speaker 2: a shout out to missus His Hot because she's been
- 41:34Speaker 2: popping in now and again and she actually dethroned our
- 41:39Speaker 2: brother's Zone three for a couple of days on the
- 41:41Speaker 2: trivia and we actually upped our game, you know, she
- 41:44Speaker 2: requested some more some harder questions, and so now we're
- 41:49Speaker 2: calling it not only the trivia question, but now the
- 41:55Speaker 2: Bible scholarly questions because now we're throwing that we were
- 42:00Speaker 2: We've accepted the challenge, all right, But for the accountability
- 42:05Speaker 2: partner segment, this is where we encourage each other to
- 42:08Speaker 2: call our accountability partner, text or email them and just
- 42:12Speaker 2: check in with them and just do a self check.
- 42:17Speaker 2: Just you know, the Bible says confess our false to
- 42:19Speaker 2: one another and make to one another so that we
- 42:22Speaker 2: may be saved.
- 42:23Speaker 3: Right. And so.
- 42:27Speaker 2: The topic say is that your accountability partner, is there
- 42:33Speaker 2: an area in my life where I'm believing lies instead
- 42:43Speaker 2: of God's truth?
- 42:44Speaker 3: Right?
- 42:44Speaker 2: Because we talked about false profits, and we talked about
- 42:48Speaker 2: how the people are just as accountable as the false
- 42:52Speaker 2: prophets are. Is there any lies? Is there anything that
- 42:57Speaker 2: you're believing that it was not a revelation from God.
- 43:01Speaker 2: It could be your own imagination, or it could be
- 43:04Speaker 2: something that a pastor or somebody told you, but it
- 43:08Speaker 2: doesn't line up with scripture. That's the key point we
- 43:13Speaker 2: are accountable and to test every spirit and pray together
- 43:18Speaker 2: for wisdom, discernment and to obey God's word. It takes
- 43:27Speaker 2: courage to be obedient right, because there's a lot of
- 43:30Speaker 2: people that will try to intimidate you from your walk
- 43:34Speaker 2: with God. They will mock you and mock your faith
- 43:38Speaker 2: just because you wanted to be obedient. If you don't
- 43:40Speaker 2: want to argue with that person, or maybe you don't
- 43:42Speaker 2: want to sleep with that person, maybe you don't want
- 43:45Speaker 2: to do drugs with that person or something, they will
- 43:49Speaker 2: try to mock you. They will try to ridicule you.
- 43:53Speaker 2: They'll try to do all manner of things to meet
- 43:57Speaker 2: you off your game. But you have to have the
- 44:00Speaker 2: courage to stay obedient. Amen. We also want to let
- 44:10Speaker 2: you know that his Hot Radio is a monitored and
- 44:12Speaker 2: a reporting radio station report to three different charts. We
- 44:18Speaker 2: can get you that exposure you need. Go to our

- 44:34Speaker 2: it out to our networks and you submitted to us. Amen.
- 44:43Speaker 2: Now it's time for our Bibles Stardly Challenge we had
- 44:56Speaker 2: to go up a couple of levels from the Bible
- 45:01Speaker 2: trivia and now it's Bible and we're at the expert
- 45:05Speaker 2: level right now. So get your fingers ready, make sure
- 45:09Speaker 2: you log into the Life Chat. The first one to
- 45:13Speaker 2: get the answer correct wins the bragget rights for today
- 45:18Speaker 2: as the trivia champion. All right, well, here's the question now.
- 45:23Speaker 2: According to the Book of Jeremiah, God gives four descriptions
- 45:30Speaker 2: of the false prophets messages. He gives four descriptions. Which
- 45:38Speaker 2: of the following is not one of them? So God
- 45:44Speaker 2: describes the false prophets in four different ways. So you
- 45:52Speaker 2: gotta find out which one did he not use as
- 45:59Speaker 2: a description? Was it a false witness. I'm gonna give
- 46:03Speaker 2: you the options right here, was it worthless divination? Was
- 46:09Speaker 2: it the deceit of their hearts? Or was it a
- 46:13Speaker 2: dream from the Lord? So you have to figure out
- 46:18Speaker 2: which one of these were not one other descriptions that
- 46:24Speaker 2: the Lord gave concerning these false prophets. And let's see
- 46:32Speaker 2: if and this is his How can get that right?
- 46:40Speaker 2: All right? And also we want to give a community
- 46:44Speaker 2: shout out. We want to invite everyone out. Today is
- 46:48Speaker 2: July the twenty eighth, twenty twenty six. So this weekend,
- 46:55Speaker 2: this Saturday, coming up at Freshman Community Church up a
- 46:59Speaker 2: gallon in Rancho is our back to school event where
- 47:05Speaker 2: we'll be handing out backpacks. We will be handing out
- 47:10Speaker 2: supplies for those in school. So if you need supplies,
- 47:16Speaker 2: if there's something that you would need to get your

- 47:38Speaker 2: over there. So if you want to get more info
- 47:41Speaker 2: about our events and the things that we will be
- 47:44Speaker 2: involved in, heading over to our website his hot nation

- 47:51Speaker 2: can get your info. Also, we want to let you

- 48:10Speaker 2: a new building location so we can do our concerts,
- 48:13Speaker 2: our classes, our Bible studies, everything that God has given
- 48:18Speaker 2: us a vision to do. And yes we are a
- 48:21Speaker 2: five oh one C three nonprofit organization, and we are
- 48:26Speaker 2: requesting help from our community, our family members. Two dollars
- 48:31Speaker 2: a month, three dollars a month. Anything can help. You

- 49:08Speaker 2: have a huge role to play once we get up
- 49:12Speaker 2: fully running and going. So pray about it. Visit our

- 49:39Speaker 2: Now we have a reflection question from today's episode. Are
- 49:46Speaker 2: you willing to receive God's truth even when it corrects
- 49:50Speaker 2: you or do you find yourself looking for voices that
- 49:56Speaker 2: simply tell you what you want to hear. That's the
- 50:01Speaker 2: danger of being deceived by a false prophet because they
- 50:05Speaker 2: tickle you your ears. They just agree with your nonsense
- 50:10Speaker 2: stuff that you wanna do anyway, Right, But we do
- 50:15Speaker 2: when it's through truly the word of God. God tells
- 50:18Speaker 2: us to crucify the flesh. God's word will always offend
- 50:22Speaker 2: our flesh, call our flesh to die.
- 50:27Speaker 3: Right. If anyone.
- 50:30Speaker 2: Is preaching to you and telling you it's okay, your
- 50:32Speaker 2: flesh is okay, let him live. That's a false prophet.
- 50:36Speaker 2: A true prophet of God will tell you to crucify
- 50:39Speaker 2: and kill your flesh. And do not trust the evil
- 50:43Speaker 2: dictates of your own heart, as we've see in the
- 50:46Speaker 2: book of Jeremiah. Now spend some time this week in
- 50:52Speaker 2: prayer and just pray about this question. Can the word
- 50:58Speaker 2: of God correct me? Or do I want teachers that'll
- 51:03Speaker 2: just tickle my ears? And as we close out, I
- 51:11Speaker 2: wanna say that Jeremiah fourteen reminds us that false hope
- 51:16Speaker 2: could be more dangerous than bad news. Right, even though
- 51:23Speaker 2: the false prophet deceived them, they received the same judgment
- 51:27Speaker 2: because they believe the lies. Just think about the one
- 51:32Speaker 2: third of the angels that followed Satan. They have to
- 51:35Speaker 2: go to hell, the same hell that Satan has to
- 51:38Speaker 2: go to when Satan was the one that did it.
- 51:43Speaker 2: You think that they would. They could cry victim, like
- 51:45Speaker 2: we didn't he lied to us, We didn't know. No,
- 51:49Speaker 2: they are just as accountable as Satan is. Now. The
- 51:54Speaker 2: people at Judah, they preferred comforting messages over God's truth,
- 52:02Speaker 2: and it led them further away from true repentance. Now,
- 52:08Speaker 2: as followers of Christ, we must be people who love
- 52:12Speaker 2: the truth. We need to test every message with scripture
- 52:17Speaker 2: and remain humble enough to receive God's correction. Now, his
- 52:26Speaker 2: truth may challenge us, but it also leads us to life.
- 52:32Speaker 2: So remember, don't choose comfortable messages, choose God's truth. Stay
- 52:39Speaker 2: in the word, send the truth, share the gospel. Share
- 52:45Speaker 2: this podcast like a subscribe. We appreciate y'all for joining us.
- 52:51Speaker 2: We'll see you on the next episode. And remember, it's
- 52:55Speaker 2: not about us, It's all about the Christ in us.
- 52:58Speaker 2: God bless you.
