- 1:24Speaker 3: don't can't fully pronounce Hallmark? M mmm? You never have noticed?
- 1:30Speaker 3: It always comes out weird. I notice it, and I say,
- 1:32Speaker 3: I'll not listen back to It's okay, don't hate me, guys.
- 1:36Speaker 3: You know I think that's like have you ever taken
- 1:40Speaker 3: family photos and then you go to look at them
- 1:42Speaker 3: and every member of the family it's the photo in
- 1:44Speaker 3: which they look the best. And of course, as we're
- 1:46Speaker 3: listening back, I'm listening to what I sound like. I
- 1:49Speaker 3: wish you sound like. Quick little Hallmark housekeeping note from Wendy. Yes,
- 1:56Speaker 3: we got a DM from a listener in Germany. Let
- 2:01Speaker 3: me tell you what it says. It is a follow
- 2:03Speaker 3: up to a Heidelberg holiday. If you recall, remember I
- 2:06Speaker 3: was asking about the Heidelberg Market and how the overhead
- 2:09Speaker 3: shots made it look very small. Honestly, you're looking at
- 2:12Speaker 3: me like I'm speaking a foreign language right now. I
- 2:15Speaker 3: remember that moment. So one of our listeners DMD us
- 2:18Speaker 3: she lives in Eberbach, Germany. I'm sure I didn't say
- 2:24Speaker 3: that correctly. Anyway, she said the market isn't that big,
- 2:27Speaker 3: and she didn't even know it was a prestigious one.
- 2:30Speaker 3: And then she also included that Heidelberg isn't that big
- 2:34Speaker 3: of a city, but it's very touristy because of the
- 2:36Speaker 3: castle so cool. So it's one of the smaller markets
- 2:42Speaker 3: among the Christmas. Oh, it was just special to Heidi
- 2:46Speaker 3: Heidelberg herself. Okay, well, let's jump in with a synopsis.
- 2:52Speaker 3: Emily and Jared are excited to celebrate the holidays together
- 2:57Speaker 3: as a couple on Evergreen Lane. Along with the other residents,
- 3:02Speaker 3: is determined to make this year's Christmas celebrations the best yet. However,
- 3:06Speaker 3: the arrival of Holiday Royalty to the neighborhood creates competition.
- 3:10Speaker 3: Despite this, the residents are prepared to welcome their new
- 3:14Speaker 3: neighbors and celebrate Christmas in style. Haul the Holly Lit
- 3:18Speaker 3: up was directed by McLean Nelson, who has fourteen directing credits,
- 3:22Speaker 3: including Speak of the Devil Itself, a Heidelberg Holiday, and
- 3:26Speaker 3: of course the Og. Haul Out the Holly. Writer Chris
- 3:30Speaker 3: Say has only six writing credits. Christopher has only in
- 3:35Speaker 3: one previous homework movie, You're Bacon Me Crazy, which I
- 3:38Speaker 3: really think needs to be on a future episode. I agree, Okay,
- 3:43Speaker 3: he was not the writer of the first haul out
- 3:45Speaker 3: the Holly. Now here's what else I want to add?
- 3:49Speaker 2: What are you going to say?
- 3:50Speaker 3: Nothing? I'm just listening. I don't know why. I leaned
- 3:51Speaker 3: in closer to my MicroC and I was like, what
- 3:53Speaker 3: do you got, Wendy? So I was trying to find
- 3:56Speaker 3: some information about the writer with only six writing credits.
- 3:59Speaker 3: I was like, he has There's gotta be something else
- 4:01Speaker 3: more out here, right, especially with a big project like
- 4:03Speaker 3: this one, right, And couldn't even find like his Instagram.
- 4:07Speaker 3: And then finally found his Instagram, but I wasn't really
- 4:09Speaker 3: sure what was him because it was a lot of
- 4:11Speaker 3: like children, you know, of his children. As finally I
- 4:16Speaker 3: stumbled across several articles and I gotta say, this is
- 4:22Speaker 3: really cool. So Christopher say during the pandemic, his wife
- 4:28Speaker 3: is an er doctor at a Los Angeles City hospital,
- 4:34Speaker 3: and along with some friends, he founded a nonprofit called
- 4:37Speaker 3: Dine one One that not only provided meals for healthcare workers,
- 4:41Speaker 3: but also supported local restaurants. Nice, Like, how cool is that?
- 4:47Speaker 3: I love it. He's like, I don't got time to
- 4:49Speaker 3: write people, I'm too busy save in the world. Yeah,
- 4:52Speaker 3: so I found that Instagram and then that like shuddered,
- 4:55Speaker 3: like because obviously there wasn't a need for it anymore.
- 4:58Speaker 3: But I was like, that's really freaking fool. He was
- 5:02Speaker 3: profiled and I can't remember what magazine it was, but
- 5:05Speaker 3: it was like a Los Angeles magazine and it was
- 5:07Speaker 3: like Heroes of the Pandemic or whatever. Anyway, I love it,
- 5:11Speaker 3: you know, doing good things and writing movies. We're back
- 5:15Speaker 3: with our second episode, starring one miss Lazy Shabert this
- 5:18Speaker 3: week as Emily. With one hundred and seventy five acting credits,
- 5:21Speaker 3: It's safe to say Lacey is more than just the
- 5:23Speaker 3: Queen of Christmas. She also appeared in a Mary Scottish
- 5:27Speaker 3: Christmas and The Dancing Detective this year, in addition to
- 5:30Speaker 3: reprising her role as Gretchen Wieners in a Walmart Black
- 5:34Speaker 3: Friday commercial. You remember when I talked about that, I do.
- 5:36Speaker 3: I thought it was going to be a Super Bowl commercial.
- 5:38Speaker 3: It ended up being a Walmart Black Friday commercial. I
- 5:41Speaker 3: never even saw it. Have you seen it? In bits
- 5:44Speaker 3: and pieces? Is Lindsay Lohan in it? She isn't it? Right?
- 5:48Speaker 3: I think? Who's not in it? Rachel McAdam, Yeah, Regina
- 5:53Speaker 3: George is not in it, okay, because she didn't want
- 5:56Speaker 3: to be like that was the big Hey, maybe she's
- 5:59Speaker 3: moved on. She's a love getting together. No, because the
- 6:03Speaker 3: girl who plays quote the dumb One, what's her name?
- 6:08Speaker 3: The blonde win Amanda Seayfreed. Do you don't see the
- 6:12Speaker 3: Karen Karen? She's like an Academy Award nominated, Emmy Award
- 6:19Speaker 3: nominated action and she was fan freaking tastic as Elizabeth Holmes.
- 6:24Speaker 3: So good as Elizabeth Holmes.
- 6:26Speaker 1: Why is good?
- 6:27Speaker 3: Gonna play mouth? Today? West Brown plays Jared. His forty
- 6:36Speaker 3: eight acting credits include a ton of Hallmark, But believe
- 6:38Speaker 3: it or not, we've only reviewed two of his movies
- 6:40Speaker 3: here on Girls Gone Hallmark. He dropped his Christmas jazz
- 6:44Speaker 3: album this year, titled My Kind of Christmas. I forgot
- 6:47Speaker 3: about that. I want to listen to it. It was
- 6:49Speaker 3: really good. Can you recall the two movies we've reviewed
- 6:53Speaker 3: of his, Well, it would be Haul Out the Holly One. Yeah,
- 6:57Speaker 3: a Nashville Christmas Carol starring one Candice Cameron. No Jesse
- 7:04Speaker 3: shram Oh, that was our early days. I remember we
- 7:07Speaker 3: did that with a guest. Okay, moving on Stephen Tobolowski
- 7:12Speaker 3: plays Ned and I think Stephen wins the prize for
- 7:17Speaker 3: the most acting credits of an actor appearing in a
- 7:20Speaker 3: Hallmark movie, if such a prize exists. With two hundred
- 7:24Speaker 3: and ninety credits, what hasn't he been in? He's a
- 7:29Speaker 3: series regular on The Goldbergs, One Day at a Time, Californication,
- 7:32Speaker 3: Silicon Valley, and Heroes, and we're glad to have him
- 7:35Speaker 3: on Hallmark. Speaking of who we're glad to see back
- 7:39Speaker 3: on Hallmark, Melissa Peterman plays Pamela. Melissa always lights up
- 7:42Speaker 3: the screen in any role. Among her thirty eight acting credits,
- 7:46Speaker 3: I'm tempted to fire up the series Baby Daddy on
- 7:48Speaker 3: Netflix wruse. She appeared in one hundred episodes. Of course,
- 7:52Speaker 3: her role as Barbara Jean on Riba is iconic. Two things.
- 7:57Speaker 3: What is Baby Daddy? It's like a lighthearted Netflix sitcom.
- 8:02Speaker 3: Does Melissa Peterman play the mom, the grandmother of the baby?
- 8:06Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 8:07Speaker 3: I assume so, I've never actually seen it. And Mariba
- 8:10Speaker 3: is a show I've only seen like here and there.
- 8:12Speaker 3: Oh that was my I loved that show. That's my
- 8:15Speaker 3: Juanna Garcia Gateway Drug. You know, the whole thing is
- 8:19Speaker 3: like her husband has an affair with Barba Jean, and
- 8:22Speaker 3: then she and Barbara Jeane are Barbara Jean is the mistress. Yes,
- 8:26Speaker 3: oh interest. She has a light in that show. Ellen
- 8:29Speaker 3: Travolta plays Mary Louise. Yes, that Travolta. She has fifty
- 8:35Speaker 3: She the sister of John She's related. She's in the
- 8:39Speaker 3: No no, no, no, no, no, no, no sister. I think, I
- 8:42Speaker 3: mean there is a striking resemblance there, for sure. She
- 8:46Speaker 3: has fifty two acting credits and appeared in series like
- 8:48Speaker 3: Charles in Charge, I watched That Love that show, Jonie
- 8:52Speaker 3: Loves chaw Chi. She appeared in two shows with Scott
- 8:58Speaker 3: Bayle Weird right, totally weird, alright. In addition to reprising
- 9:03Speaker 3: her role as Mary Louise on hal At the Holly,
- 9:06Speaker 3: She's reprising a thirty year old role on General Hospital
- 9:10Speaker 3: as Gloria Curulo. Coming up soon, tell me about those
- 9:14Speaker 3: Johnson's all right, So, Jennifer Aspen plays Jane Johnson, the Mom.
- 9:22Speaker 3: She has eighty four acting credits, including forty four episodes
- 9:26Speaker 3: as Dapphine in the series Party of Five with Lacy Shabert.
- 9:30Speaker 3: What you didn't know that when I saw her on screen.
- 9:34Speaker 3: I was like, where is this space friend? Daphne was
- 9:38Speaker 3: Charlie's You said Dafine. I didn't know what that meant.
- 9:42Speaker 3: I didn't say Daphne. You didn't roll about the table. No,
- 9:46Speaker 3: I know. I'm not above it. Now you can in
- 9:49Speaker 3: my head again. Sorry, the word is Charlie's stripper girlfriend
- 9:53Speaker 3: that had a baby. Oh wow, that's a deep cut
- 9:55Speaker 3: that I do not recall. She was in forty four episodes.
- 9:59Speaker 3: Well wasn't he didn't he have another blonde long term
- 10:03Speaker 3: girlfriend who became kind of like a mom to the
- 10:06Speaker 3: kids to end up getting married. I don't know, I
- 10:08Speaker 3: can't remember exactly. Okay. Seth Morris plays dad Joe Johnson.
- 10:14Speaker 3: He doesn't have as many acting credits as Stephen Tobolawski,
- 10:17Speaker 3: but with one hundred and thirty eight. The dude has
- 10:20Speaker 3: been in some stuff, including The Big Leap, a Fox
- 10:25Speaker 3: one season series which I enjoyed, HBO's Veep, Netflix's Love
- 10:30Speaker 3: The Good Place, Parks and rec The League. I could
- 10:32Speaker 3: go on and on and on and on. The guy
- 10:34Speaker 3: has been in a lot of stuff. He's busy, busy,
- 10:38Speaker 3: and also, finally we got a quick cameo from Eric
- 10:41Speaker 3: Maybe is who plays Alan, Pamela's husband. However, when I
- 10:44Speaker 3: looked him up, his IMDb shows that he was in
- 10:47Speaker 3: the first Haul out the Holly, and I don't remember
- 10:49Speaker 3: him because he was only at the very end. He's
- 10:51Speaker 3: gone the whole time, and she's like waiting, waiting, waiting,
- 10:53Speaker 3: same thing in this movie though, Yeah, and she didn't
- 10:56Speaker 3: think he was gonna make it home. It was a
- 10:57Speaker 3: bigger plot point in the first one. Finally, how about
- 11:01Speaker 3: the Hollywood two lit Up was filmed in Utah in
- 11:05Speaker 3: September twenty twenty three. I have a reason for adding
- 11:08Speaker 3: that note. Okay, let's talk first impressions. This might be
- 11:13Speaker 3: the first movie of the season that has it all
- 11:15Speaker 3: for me. Ooh, I wrote this sequel Slade. I didn't
- 11:21Speaker 3: even use AI to write that. I came up with
- 11:24Speaker 3: on my own, on my own, and I put slade
- 11:27Speaker 3: sl A y ed, and then in parentheses put slade
- 11:31Speaker 3: like SLPG. Let's talk about what you liked if this
- 11:36Speaker 3: was your let me clarify movie season. So I, prior
- 11:41Speaker 3: to this movie had like a top three, and I
- 11:44Speaker 3: wasn't ranking them within that top three because there were
- 11:47Speaker 3: different things I liked about them, and so my top
- 11:49Speaker 3: three prior to going into this were missed it Christmas,
- 11:53Speaker 3: a Heidelberg Holiday, and Santa Summit, and they were different.
- 11:57Speaker 3: I felt like Mystic Christmas was like the right and
- 12:00Speaker 3: the delivery was top notch. And I liked the different
- 12:06Speaker 3: storytelling that we saw in Santa Seme. That was a
- 12:10Speaker 3: totally different idea that was really well executed. Love the
- 12:13Speaker 3: ensemble cast. Heidelberg Holliday was a really like warm, sweet movie.
- 12:17Speaker 3: To me, this movie was everything. It was funny, the
- 12:23Speaker 3: writing and the delivery was top notch. It had some
- 12:26Speaker 3: really sweet, warm moments. It was a little bit of
- 12:30Speaker 3: a different take on a Hallmark movie. It just did
- 12:34Speaker 3: it all for me. I love hearing that, and I
- 12:38Speaker 3: think a sequel is hard to execute well without remaking
- 12:45Speaker 3: the movie, and this was a home run for me.
- 12:50Speaker 3: It had the elements I loved in the first movie,
- 12:52Speaker 3: a lot of delightful callbacks. It didn't just feel like
- 12:56Speaker 3: the next year, we're doing it all again. Think there'll
- 13:00Speaker 3: be a third. I would love a third. I think
- 13:04Speaker 3: they could do it. I don't know how other than
- 13:08Speaker 3: getting married, but like, yeah, but what they've done well
- 13:12Speaker 3: is they've really utilized this ensemble cast nicely. I agree,
- 13:17Speaker 3: Like they did introduce the new characters of the Johnson's,
- 13:21Speaker 3: but then they elevated the ensemble cast. The supporting actors
- 13:25Speaker 3: Steven Tobolowski Melissa Peterman had big roles last the first movie,
- 13:30Speaker 3: but they utilized them so well having established those roles
- 13:34Speaker 3: that I just think there's a lot more they can do.
- 13:36Speaker 3: I'm not a writer. I don't know what they could do. Yeah,
- 13:38Speaker 3: but I do think there's room. They showed us that
- 13:41Speaker 3: these characters can do more while still being true to
- 13:45Speaker 3: the Evergreen Lane spirit. Yeah, tell me some things you
- 13:49Speaker 3: liked well. Like my first impression said, I thought the
- 13:53Speaker 3: sequel was better than the original. For me, I remember
- 13:56Speaker 3: liking the original. I only watched it once last I
- 14:00Speaker 3: haven't revisited. I remember thinking that that was like your
- 14:04Speaker 3: favorite movie last year, right, it was one of us favorites. Yeah,
- 14:07Speaker 3: top three. This to me was very similar to last
- 14:11Speaker 3: year's movie, except with the addition of the Johnson family,
- 14:18Speaker 3: who I found so super unlikable but thought was really clever.
- 14:24Speaker 3: The way that they added you know, Internet famous people
- 14:29Speaker 3: without to the neighborhood. It just worked. It was so
- 14:34Speaker 3: funny to me. I liked it so much better than
- 14:37Speaker 3: just adding like a new neighbor wasn't like because then
- 14:41Speaker 3: we're getting the same sort of like repeat of what
- 14:44Speaker 3: we got last year. Right. I hated the Johnson's like
- 14:49Speaker 3: so much. And do you ever have that like where
- 14:53Speaker 3: you're watching something you hate a character so much you
- 14:55Speaker 3: like want to throw something at the TV? Yes, I
- 14:58Speaker 3: said Jennifer Asman as Jane john And is truly great
- 15:01Speaker 3: at playing a character you love to hate.
- 15:03Speaker 1: Yes.
- 15:03Speaker 3: And some of the reviews, especially some of the conversation
- 15:06Speaker 3: in our Facebook group said it was almost uncomfortable to
- 15:08Speaker 3: watch because it was so antagonistic, and I can absolutely
- 15:12Speaker 3: see that. I thought it was so funny the way
- 15:15Speaker 3: they did it need too. I don't love that, It's
- 15:18Speaker 3: just like, isn't funny for me? Yeah? Yeah, I don't
- 15:22Speaker 3: know necessarily love mean and they were like snide and
- 15:27Speaker 3: sarcastic and sneaky. I just thought it was the perfect
- 15:32Speaker 3: foil to this like happy Christmasy town. I love that
- 15:37Speaker 3: Ned was a defector and went to their side because
- 15:40Speaker 3: he could kind of be the jingle Jared of their team.
- 15:44Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 15:45Speaker 3: I thought it was really well executed too. And what
- 15:49Speaker 3: I also loved is that their son Jimmy is the
- 15:55Speaker 3: first to break away when Emily gives Jimmy the gingerbread half. Yes,
- 16:03Speaker 3: I really didn't think that scene was going to go
- 16:05Speaker 3: that way, Like I thought he was still one of
- 16:07Speaker 3: the bad guys. Yeah, and he takes it home and
- 16:09Speaker 3: he's just so genuinely earnest about it. He's like, look,
- 16:13Speaker 3: I have a ginger can we eat it? Yeah? And
- 16:15Speaker 3: his gingerbread house, by the way, I don't do you know,
- 16:18Speaker 3: but maybe you're making it with from scratch as opposed
- 16:21Speaker 3: to from a box that's been sitting in a grocery store.
- 16:24Speaker 3: Maybe it's good. I liked that progression where he was like,
- 16:29Speaker 3: you guys got to knock it off, like this isn't
- 16:31Speaker 3: fun anymore. Yeah, And there's been a lot It's funny
- 16:34Speaker 3: that you talk about like the Internet famous, because there's
- 16:36Speaker 3: been a lot of talk, especially on TikTok, about the
- 16:39Speaker 3: damage that these like family bloggers are talking to their
- 16:43Speaker 3: children something last night about it. It's very vocal right now.
- 16:47Speaker 3: And it's also I think because a lot of these
- 16:49Speaker 3: children are starting to grow up and hit their teens
- 16:52Speaker 3: and have their opinions about it. And I thought that
- 16:57Speaker 3: was interesting, like a kind of way to address a
- 16:59Speaker 3: little bit of that. Yeah, I liked it. I agree.
- 17:05Speaker 3: I gotta say this movie for me was full of
- 17:09Speaker 3: like spot on one liners and raiser sharp dialogue and
- 17:18Speaker 3: perfectly executed like you can't do like Melissa Peterman and
- 17:23Speaker 3: Stephen Tobolowski like I got. It has to be from
- 17:28Speaker 3: near years of being like on comedy shows, comedy show sitcoms,
- 17:34Speaker 3: you know where it's like fast replies. Do you know
- 17:38Speaker 3: what I'm talking to? Uleblowski might be one of the
- 17:41Speaker 3: greatest comedic actors ever, a great they're timing. Was so
- 17:45Speaker 3: good who probably doesn't get enough credit because he's never
- 17:48Speaker 3: the lead. Yeah, but he is so essential, you know.
- 17:52Speaker 3: I love One Day at a Time. M hm. He's
- 17:54Speaker 3: so good in that. Oh who does he play? And
- 17:57Speaker 3: he plays like a doctor who the mom works for.
- 18:01Speaker 3: But then he has a romance with the grandma. But
- 18:04Speaker 3: for a long time they're just like friends and he's
- 18:05Speaker 3: in love with her and like it takes but he's
- 18:08Speaker 3: it's so funny. He's, like you said, his delivery just
- 18:12Speaker 3: from his years of experience. I'm so glad he was
- 18:16Speaker 3: in these movies. Yeah, I have a question. Okay, there's
- 18:20Speaker 3: a moment early in the movie where Emily and Jared
- 18:24Speaker 3: are together and they're a little frustrated over the way
- 18:27Speaker 3: things are going. And he's like, I could make you
- 18:29Speaker 3: a hot chocolate and she's like the hot chocolate window
- 18:32Speaker 3: has closed, yes, And he's like, are you sure. She's like,
- 18:36Speaker 3: we're done. And I felt like it was a little
- 18:38Speaker 3: bit of a hallmark save euphemism, yeah, when she was like,
- 18:41Speaker 3: it's not happening. Yeah, dude, you need to go home.
- 18:44Speaker 3: You need to go alone tonight. I loved it. There
- 18:48Speaker 3: was an interaction between Pamela and Ned they're like hiding
- 18:53Speaker 3: in the house. In it they say something like I
- 18:56Speaker 3: feel like I've been seen or something. This was so funny.
- 19:01Speaker 3: I just thought the dialogue was great. At one point,
- 19:07Speaker 3: I thought, Lacey, well we talked about Lacey. The squirrel
- 19:11Speaker 3: is just eating so many oranges. This is the fourth
- 19:13Speaker 3: time I can run by with that orange where if
- 19:16Speaker 3: they're an orange tree, I actually think it's that house
- 19:20Speaker 3: right there. They have like a fig tree and they
- 19:22Speaker 3: have grape vines. Maybe they have like a little kumquat tree.
- 19:25Speaker 3: Every time you're just running back and forth storing up
- 19:28Speaker 3: for the winter. When the Jolly Johnson's like come out
- 19:32Speaker 3: to that Christmas tree lighting, which I had a problem
- 19:35Speaker 3: with last year or too. I don't understand why you
- 19:37Speaker 3: have a Christmas tree in the center of your cul
- 19:39Speaker 3: de sac, But how does that word? Does that plug
- 19:42Speaker 3: into you? Guys? Like these are questions I think about.
- 19:44Speaker 3: But they did it again this year. And then the
- 19:47Speaker 3: jolly Johnsons come out and then like light those big
- 19:49Speaker 3: fireworks and all, you know whatever, and Lacey gives us
- 19:52Speaker 3: face like what is happening here? Like and I thought,
- 19:56Speaker 3: oh good, Like she's having the same reaction I'm having
- 19:59Speaker 3: to these people. So I was like felt very connected
- 20:02Speaker 3: and I thought she was great in this role. Wes Brown,
- 20:07Speaker 3: his being so enamored by the Johnson's was so funny
- 20:12Speaker 3: to me. Yeah, Like he loved them so much he
- 20:15Speaker 3: couldn't write get mad at them. Yes, because in contrast
- 20:18Speaker 3: last year, he's all over Lacey and giving her like
- 20:23Speaker 3: citations and this, and then he's so structured and rigid
- 20:25Speaker 3: about like the HOA rules and then he just folded
- 20:28Speaker 3: for these people. This year, it was I thought it
- 20:30Speaker 3: was very funny. I agree, very funny. And finally, the
- 20:35Speaker 3: one last scene that I really really loved is when
- 20:37Speaker 3: Lacey's parents arrive to kind of save the day, and
- 20:41Speaker 3: it's that slow mowalk that her dad's doing. I died.
- 20:45Speaker 3: He fully bypasses the hug from her and he's just like,
- 20:48Speaker 3: no nonsense, right down to business. Thought it was so funny.
- 20:52Speaker 3: I thought that was nice. I'm glad they brought them back.
- 20:54Speaker 3: I was wondering when they're like silver and Gold are
- 20:57Speaker 3: coming in, and I was when I thought it might
- 20:59Speaker 3: be a cameo. Oh yeah, yeah, but that was nice.
- 21:02Speaker 3: It was nice. Did you like anything else? I thought
- 21:05Speaker 3: the proposal was really sweet. It was sweet. It was sweet.
- 21:09Speaker 3: It was well executed. Everyone's there with their sparklers. It
- 21:13Speaker 3: fit into the theme of the movie and the theme
- 21:16Speaker 3: of the moment. I'm like, are they gonna get married
- 21:19Speaker 3: next year? Are we gonna see Lacy in another wedding
- 21:23Speaker 3: movie next year?
- 21:25Speaker 1: Well?
- 21:25Speaker 3: Okay, so my wish is at the hall at the
- 21:30Speaker 3: Holly franchise replaces the Time to Come Home franchise. Oh yeah,
- 21:35Speaker 3: bye bye, Yeah there is another one this year, right,
- 21:39Speaker 3: oh yeah, my wish for I thought it was a
- 21:43Speaker 3: fun and funny movie. There isn't much I wished for,
- 21:47Speaker 3: but this, like, literally when I turned it off. I
- 21:49Speaker 3: was like, that was so funny on Saturday night. That's amazing,
- 21:53Speaker 3: I know, But I wonder if there are wishes from others,
- 21:58Speaker 3: like those of a different Oh, yes, let's talk about that. Okay.
- 22:03Speaker 3: My last further thought goes along. It says, or those
- 22:07Speaker 3: who find more to de season other than decorations, cookies
- 22:10Speaker 3: and parties. So let's talk about the face part of it.
- 22:13Speaker 3: So there's a provision in their bylaws put there by
- 22:16Speaker 3: her father that says, like, you're exempt from the rules
- 22:19Speaker 3: if you don't have like the emotional or physical ability
- 22:24Speaker 3: to take it on. Do you remember this part? Yeah?
- 22:27Speaker 3: And I was wondering if that was going to be
- 22:29Speaker 3: where they covered this also, like or if Christmas simply
- 22:33Speaker 3: isn't your jam, Like they didn't even need to make
- 22:35Speaker 3: it that deep, like you just simply don't wish to participate.
- 22:39Speaker 3: I kind of wish that they had gone further with
- 22:41Speaker 3: that and like addressed it. You have driven up my
- 22:43Speaker 3: street today. I live on a bit of an evergreen lane. Yeah,
- 22:49Speaker 3: and my neighbor across the street rents this whole lift
- 22:52Speaker 3: and like, in addition to all the houses getting in
- 22:56Speaker 3: on it, the light poles are lit, and there's lights
- 22:58Speaker 3: going across the street, and there's a tunnel of light.
- 23:01Speaker 3: There's a whole thing. We have neighbors a couple houses away.
- 23:04Speaker 3: The house has been for sale, and obviously that house
- 23:07Speaker 3: is the only house on the street without lights on it.
- 23:10Speaker 3: They moved in yesterday. Oh boy. So everyone was like, Oh,
- 23:14Speaker 3: what do you think is going to happen? And one
- 23:15Speaker 3: of them neighbors was like, oh, we'll give them a
- 23:16Speaker 3: couple days. And I thought like it was kind of
- 23:19Speaker 3: a joke. And there's a whole light competition in our neighborhood.
- 23:22Speaker 3: And we were like, oh, we'll set up the hot
- 23:24Speaker 3: chocolate station in their front yard. This is before anybody
- 23:26Speaker 3: moved in. But then I thought leave them alone. Like
- 23:31Speaker 3: part of me is like, yeah, of course I want
- 23:33Speaker 3: everyone to participate in this thing that's fun for me,
- 23:36Speaker 3: But not in a thing that doesn't have any meaning
- 23:38Speaker 3: to them. Sure, not on a thing that maybe they
- 23:41Speaker 3: find super annoying that they don't celebrate this holiday. And
- 23:43Speaker 3: now they're on this street that is overrun with lights. Yeah,
- 23:49Speaker 3: I don't know, and I've never met this person. I
- 23:51Speaker 3: have no idea. Maybe they'll light that shit up tonight.
- 23:54Speaker 3: I don't know. Yeah, I just wonder, like, I mean,
- 23:59Speaker 3: it doesn't have to be that deep movie aside. I
- 24:01Speaker 3: thought it was a great movie, but then when like
- 24:03Speaker 3: really look into it, like, it's a great movie for
- 24:06Speaker 3: me because I celebrate Christmas. But if I didn't celebrate Christmas,
- 24:10Speaker 3: would I hate this movie? Would I hate the street
- 24:12Speaker 3: that I lived on? Because it's like that, you know,
- 24:18Speaker 3: full of lights and craziness. And yeah, I mean I
- 24:21Speaker 3: think you can excuse the movie for existing because you know,
- 24:24Speaker 3: if something isn't for you, just don't watch the movie.
- 24:26Speaker 3: But living on a street like that is harder to escape,
- 24:30Speaker 3: particularly when you've got the h OA with very specific rules.
- 24:35Speaker 3: Every house must have a thirty six inch nutcracker, et cetera,
- 24:38Speaker 3: et cetera. You know, your lights must be led. All
- 24:42Speaker 3: of this. I think they had a real moment to
- 24:46Speaker 3: casually address it in a throwaway away that most people
- 24:49Speaker 3: wouldn't even have, but it would have been meaningful. Yeah,
- 24:53Speaker 3: So do you think they should if they make a third?
- 24:56Speaker 3: Should somehow well? Is that going to be the third
- 24:59Speaker 3: where they've I got someone who's like, y'all not everything,
- 25:03Speaker 3: it's for everyone. I would love that. Actually, Yeah, how
- 25:06Speaker 3: are they gonna handle it. I don't know. I would
- 25:08Speaker 3: love that, all right. Moving on to did you see that? Yeah?
- 25:14Speaker 3: I have two? Me too. When Lacey's parents return to
- 25:19Speaker 3: the home on Evergreen Lane to help, the mom says,
- 25:22Speaker 3: we watched Christmas at Graceland on the airplane, which is
- 25:25Speaker 3: a twenty eighteen movie starring Wes Brown and Kelly Pickler. Now,
- 25:30Speaker 3: of course I didn't know that, but I thought that's interesting,
- 25:33Speaker 3: so I googled it. I said, Wes Brown movie. I
- 25:36Speaker 3: just thought it was funny. Yeah, and they did. Lacey
- 25:38Speaker 3: did the same thing in last year's Haul at the
- 25:40Speaker 3: Holly where she's watching like, oh yes, it a Brendan
- 25:43Speaker 3: Penny movie. Brennan Elliott a movie she was in or no, no,
- 25:49Speaker 3: but she starred with him in a number of got it,
- 25:52Speaker 3: got it? You're right. I had forgotten about that. Also
- 25:55Speaker 3: on Twitter, someone had pointed out that there was snow
- 25:59Speaker 3: on the ground, but none of the trees bushes are roofs.
- 26:02Speaker 3: And usually this is a sticking point for me, like
- 26:05Speaker 3: when it doesn't look realistic. But it was also summer
- 26:08Speaker 3: in Utah. I'm like, you gotta do. I'd rather have
- 26:12Speaker 3: no snow on the trees or roofs than plastic geek
- 26:15Speaker 3: cartoony looking snow agree. Yeah, I agree. The realty company
- 26:21Speaker 3: that sells the Johnson's home is Home for the Holidays Realty.
- 26:25Speaker 3: That's a terrible name eleven months out of the year,
- 26:28Speaker 3: Like who wants to shop at home for the holidays
- 26:30Speaker 3: realty in March? Yeah, just a little note. When the
- 26:34Speaker 3: gnome speakers are put out, they wake up in the morning,
- 26:37Speaker 3: they discover it light outside. Jared walks over to the
- 26:41Speaker 3: Johnson's home and it is dark as night when he
- 26:43Speaker 3: arrives at their house.
- 26:44Speaker 1: Oh.
- 26:44Speaker 3: I didn't even realize, like either the clouds had rolled
- 26:47Speaker 3: in or they filmed this at dusk, but it was
- 26:52Speaker 3: shockingly darker in that funny, short, short span of time. Yeah,
- 26:55Speaker 3: because they show Net out there doing yoga, not really
- 26:58Speaker 3: doing yoga, but so after that scene when he finally
- 27:02Speaker 3: makes it over to the Johnson's it's dark.
- 27:04Speaker 1: Oh.
- 27:04Speaker 3: Interesting, I haven't seen all right? Is that it? Yeah?
- 27:09Speaker 3: What did you rate this movie? This is my first
- 27:12Speaker 3: five star of this season. Wow, four point seven five
