We're your hosts, Chelsea, Jacqueline and Rebecca, three estheticians in three different time zones obsessed with skin, business and the beauty of connection. No topic is off limits. This is the unfiltered side of skin. Let's get into it. welcome back to the SC Insider podcast. Today, our episode, we're going to do kind of like a mix of rapid fire, but we have a plan. We have a theme. And the theme is for once we have a theme. We have a plan, guys. So this is the theme. Chelsea: For once, the one time in our lives we have a plan. That we will not we will yeah, we will that's true. This is yeah. Rebekah: When Jacqueline when Jacqueline's in charge, we have a plan. Estie Insider Podcast: treatments we'd spend our money on versus treatments we wouldn't. And we're gonna go through a bunch of different treatments and then I have a little fun, where would you put your money, this or that type of thing. So the first one is Botox. Would we spend whatever we need to spend on Botox? Rebekah: Literally I would chop my leg off for Botox, yes. A hundred percent. Yeah. Chelsea: Yes. Yes. Yes. Now, okay, Estie Insider Podcast: Yes. Chelsea: I will say just for the sake of discussion, I freak I love neurotoxins. So yes, now when you say like would we spend whatever we need to spend on, like I I'm kind of more like a tr simple traditional like forehead around the eyes. When you start, you know, they'll do like those platismal bands and massaders and like the frown I yes I yes Rebekah: And your traps, the Barbie Botox they called it. Estie Insider Podcast: Mm. Rebekah: Yeah. Chelsea: I I haven't done that. So I'm not saying I wouldn't. I just haven't. To me, I'm like, that's a lot to maintain. And Estie Insider Podcast: Yeah. Rebekah: It is. It ends up it adds up. Chelsea: yes. Estie Insider Podcast: Yeah. Chelsea: And I especially with the platismal bands. so the the nurse that worked for me a few years ago, she had her friend do her put platismal bands. And I don't know if she just did too much. I don't know if this is normal. She, it was the freakiest thing. She came back, she went and did it in Arizona and she came back. And she's like, my gosh, you gotta see this. And she sat down on our couch, but feet up on the couch. And she leaned back and her head went like like a doll, like a rag doll. It was like she couldn't pull her head back up because it I was like, You Rebekah: The muscles were frozen. Chelsea: look like it just went clunk and she yes, it it freaked Rebekah: It's like a horror film. my. Estie Insider Podcast: my god. Chelsea: me out. And I was like, I will never do that. But I I think maybe it was too much. Like Estie Insider Podcast: Yeah. Chelsea: the the movement was gone. I don't know. I was Estie Insider Podcast: Well, I guess it would be more of would you, you know, like spend your money on this, like 'cause it is an extra expense. It is something that you could add into your life. You don't need it, but it is like an add on Rebekah: I need it. Estie Insider Podcast: to the data. Okay. Chelsea: yeah, I love I'm due for it. I'm trying to hold off just for Rebekah: I love it. Me too. Estie Insider Podcast: Yeah. Chelsea: a week or two to so it's good for my trip. But yeah, I love it. Estie Insider Podcast: I would Rebekah: Me too. Estie Insider Podcast: spend money on it. I just no I Rebekah: You don't need it. You're too young. Chelsea: I know. Estie Insider Podcast: have a deep wrinkle. No, I I would, but I'm also w like weary of it. I don't know if I'm like full on like I'm kind of scared of what it's gonna do in the future if you start in your twenties. Rebekah: Well, we'll find out with me. I'll let you know. I'll let you know. Maybe Yeah, we'll see. Estie Insider Podcast: Yeah. No, we're gonna find out later. Like this is like the first, you know, era of that. Okay. Chelsea: Well, it's been around. Botox has been around, I think, since the nineteen fifties. They used to use it. They used to Estie Insider Podcast: But did they start at twenty? Rebekah: What did they use it for? Because isn't it off label for wrinkles? Chelsea: probably not. Well, as far as y yes, it was it's off label or n I don't think it is now, because there's Botox cosmetic and then there's just Botox. It's this could be totally wrong. So do not I am not claiming the accuracy of this, but I thought I read that it was I know. Let's Rebekah: She's spreading misinformation. Chelsea: Let's confirm after this, Rebekah: Yeah. Chelsea: but I thought I read that it was initially they were using it in heart surgeries, like to open up valves. They would like use it Rebekah: Interesting. Chelsea: to relax. So I don't know how I don't know Rebekah: Huh. Chelsea: if it was like they were doing the heart surgery and then they would inject Botox to then relax it while it was healing afterwards. I don't know. I don't know anything that, but I heard it was something there was something about using it in a heart surgery. Rebekah: Are you cross checking? Estie Insider Podcast: I'm looking it up. Botox in human Chelsea: Please confirm. I don't know if that's when it was first used, but I thought I read that. Estie Insider Podcast: medicine in the nineteen seventies by ophthalmologist Dr. Alan B. Scott to treat strabismus cross eyed cross eye crossed eyes and ple Chelsea: to relax that makes sense. Rebekah: interesting. Estie Insider Podcast: blephar spasm Rebekah: Ew, do they just put it in the eye? Estie Insider Podcast: with the eye twitches as a non-surgical alternative. So Chelsea: Yeah. blepherospl ble blepharospasm. I t blepherospasm. That is Estie Insider Podcast: Bletheral spasm. So and then Rebekah: That that's really interesting. Estie Insider Podcast: I mm it's it's just Chelsea: Please. Estie Insider Podcast: a lot of like the eyes and then yeah. Okay. Rebekah: That's really interesting. Chelsea: Nothing about nothing about heart surgeries. Estie Insider Podcast: Nothing about heart surgery, so Rebekah: Completely false. Chelsea: I'm like back in my day, we used to stick it in our heart valves. Estie Insider Podcast: My God, okay, well, again, Chelsea spreads misinformation, so I'm just getting no. Where? Chelsea: No, I'm I'm it said one yeah interesting one interesting use is during cardiac surgery for patients with atrial fibrill fibrillation researcher so they it has been used but it it was not originally developed Estie Insider Podcast: Okay. Well that's cool that it could Yeah. Chelsea: for that let's be clear on that there's a small piece used Rebekah: Yeah. Estie Insider Podcast: No, that that is actually really cool that it was used for other things. It it happened to be used for that. Okay. Chelsea: s it was probably it was probably one heart surgery and it didn't work and then they never did it again. But I'm basing Estie Insider Podcast: Yeah, they never did it again. Rebekah: Right. Chelsea: it off of the Estie Insider Podcast: okay guys, filler. Chelsea: I have been thinking Estie Insider Podcast: Nope. For me. Chelsea: about getting my lips done because as I'm getting old, I think with weight loss and getting older, I've never had like a great shape to my lips, but my top lips like curling in and I'm considering it, but I would never get it in my cheeks. I've done lip flip Rebekah: Get a lip flip. Estie Insider Podcast: Face. Yeah. Chelsea: before. it it doesn't last very long. Rebekah: No, it doesn't. It fa it for me it fades within three weeks. I Chelsea: Yes. Rebekah: get it done when I know I'm getting like photos taken and Chelsea: Yeah. And I don't necessarily want Estie Insider Podcast: Interesting. Chelsea: more volume. obviously there would be more volume, but I just w I want it like in the border to give more shape. I want them to Estie Insider Podcast: Mm-hmm. Yeah. Chelsea: be more defined and so Rebekah: Do it. I wanna see you. I wanna see you. Estie Insider Podcast: I don't think I would do it. I like personally I wouldn't Chelsea: I'm gonna come. Estie Insider Podcast: I'm I've heard too many horror stories about filler, so I'm like personally speaking I wouldn't. Rebekah: I got I got like the time the smallest amount you can get, I think, is half a syringe. This was Chelsea: Yes. Rebekah: like five or six years ago. It was right around COVID. I got it done in my lips, half a syringe. And then I woke up in the middle of the night and my lips were so swollen and I was like, ooh, yeah, I kind of like it. And then the Chelsea: Yes. Rebekah: swelling wore off and it I didn't see a difference at all. Like it my lips looked exactly the same. And Chelsea: Yes, I know. Yes. Estie Insider Podcast: Damn. Rebekah: I just stopped there because I'm like, I could totally see how I could be the type of person and be like, Just a little bit more 'cause I don't see a difference. Just a little bit more 'cause I don't see difference. And then by the time I'm done I'm like So Chelsea: More, more, more. Yeah. I know. Well, and I Estie Insider Podcast: Mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm. Chelsea: think what's interesting Estie Insider Podcast: Blown up. Chelsea: is is I've heard it, the med spa I used to work at Forever Go, they did filler and people would be so scared 'cause they're like, I just want a half syringe, but they're like a half syringe doesn't actually go very far on most people. Yeah. And Rebekah: That's what my injector said. She's like, You're not even gonna notice a difference. Chelsea: yeah, and then hearing and so then once they show you like what a full syringe can actually do, it's like, and I'm sure everybody's different, but I know. Rebekah: Yeah. Chelsea: I know, you just don't wanna I I go back and forth. Part of me is like, who freaking cares? show women what normal forty one year old lips look like. Estie Insider Podcast: Yes. Yeah. Rebekah: No, I know. I'm always stuck in that juxtaposition of I'm Chelsea: I know. Rebekah: gonna age gracefully and I'm gonna let my hair go gray. And then I'm like, my god, every four weeks I'm like, I need my roots done. So Chelsea: I know, I know. Rebekah: I'm always like back and forth with that. Ugh. Chelsea: I know. I'm like, I'll let everybody else do that and I'll go be high maintenance to I Rebekah: Yeah. Chelsea: don't know. I don't know. We'll see. We'll see. Rebekah: Next. Estie Insider Podcast: Okay, microneedling, yes. Yes. what about RF microneedling? Would you guys spend? I wouldn't would not. Very a lot of horror things. Chemical peels? Yes, Chelsea: Hundred percent. yeah. I love microneedaline. Rebekah: Yes. Yes. Yes, yes, yes. I do too. Never. No, I've seen horror. My own clients have my own clients yes. Chelsea: No, no. Yep. Estie Insider Podcast: a thousand times. Chelsea: absolutely. Rebekah: The best. Estie Insider Podcast: Absolutely. Chelsea: Does anybody have a fa does Rebekah: And there's so many different Chelsea: that yeah, does anyone have a favorite right right now today? What is your fav I know. I Rebekah: There's so many different types that there's gonna be a chemical peel for every person. Chelsea: know. Rebekah: Favorite? Estie Insider Podcast: I know. Chelsea: What's your favorite? Rebekah: I am obsessed with the clear skin synergy. It's so good. Chelsea: It's good. It's Estie Insider Podcast: I would say clear skin Chelsea: so good. Estie Insider Podcast: synergy and clear skin peels from face reality are my go-to, my bread and butter. Like I know how this is going to react with your skin, for Chelsea: Totally. Yes. Yeah. Rebekah: Me too. Estie Insider Podcast: anybody to start off with a peel. but yeah, I would say, I would say we're all face reality. I mean, perfect derma peel I do love, but like I think that not everybody is fit for it and you know, would enjoy it and enjoy Chelsea: Right. Yeah. Estie Insider Podcast: the process. And so with clear skin peels, it's like superficial, it's not you're not gonna peel tons, very low key, all that. Yeah. Chelsea: Yeah, but your skin's gonna feel good, it's gonna look good. I know. They're so Rebekah: And I I have Chelsea: good. I love Gly I like Glime ed peels. I need to venture more into Lyra peels. I really want to do that. You know what? And the like Estie Insider Podcast: Yeah. Me too. I want to. So I'm thinking that this book will help me get there next. Chelsea: KRX and fr like peels from Kin, they're good. I got the Yes, and the laser peel is good. Rebekah: Yeah, I use them all the time. The cold I use the cold peel, the melacold peel. The laser Estie Insider Podcast: I want to Rebekah: peel. I've used that. I have the aluminum A peel, which is kind of like an I don't want to say knockoff, but it's kind of like a bio repeel. it's like a biofastic, whatever they call it, peel. I haven't even opened it yet. I Chelsea: that's right. Yes. Yeah. Do you like that one? Okay. Estie Insider Podcast: Okay. Rebekah: have so many I just I need to stop with like peels on my skin. I don't know. Chelsea: I know. Estie Insider Podcast: That's the thing, it's like there's so many and we have to try them first and then it's like we have to go on our Chelsea: I know. Estie Insider Podcast: routine and then we gotta stop. It's just it's a lot. So Rebekah: Yeah. Estie Insider Podcast: but I'm I'm curious about the Korean the different peels. Right now I'm just dabbling in the skincare. So one thing at a time. Rebekah: Yeah, and I've been utilizing the clear skin peels off off record. I've been using the clear skin peels in conjunction with microneedling. like applying it after I microneedle Chelsea: Yes. Yep. Yep. Rebekah: someone. And I love it. Yes. Chelsea: I know, it's good. Yeah. Estie Insider Podcast: After Procell? my god, send me your protocol. Chelsea: I did I did clear clear skin peel one on myself the last time that I microdedles and it was good. Rebekah: Yesh. Love it. Estie Insider Podcast: So I think I've been doing it backwards 'cause I when I do the R D S peel I did it first before the pro cell 'cause that's what they told me to do. Rebekah: Well, that's fine 'cause it's not a self neutralizing peel. I'll tell I'll talk to you. Estie Insider Podcast: wait, wait, we'll talk about later. Okay. All right, guys. This one, think about how much it is. Probably around $300, maybe $250. Hydrofacial. Would you spend your money on it? Rebekah: No. Estie Insider Podcast: I would not. I think that it's good treatment. Yes. I just wouldn't spend the what the money on it. Chelsea: No hate it's no hate I just I know, I know. Rebekah: And and and on my skin. And on my Estie Insider Podcast: I do like the treatment, but I wouldn't spend the money on it. Yeah. Chelsea: Yes, Rebekah: skin, I would say no. Someone else's? Maybe. Yeah. No. Chelsea: yes, yeah. This is this is about what we would do to ourselves. Yeah. No. Estie Insider Podcast: Yeah. I have actually not r like yes, I had a little glowy skin, but at the time I think I had dermatitis, like right, perioral dermatitis right here. And I feel like it just irritated the crap out of it. And so I just didn't look and feel the best. But I think that yeah, on other people's skin, yeah, if you want to. And I mean it's a very short treatment too. okay, where would you draw the line at a facial? A customized, well let's just say a traditional facial. Not customized 'cause so many people have different modalities and things like that. But where would you draw the line on how much a facial should be? Basic. Rebekah: how much I would spend getting a facial myself. Estie Insider Podcast: A basic facial, like a traditional European facial. Rebekah: I'd spend two hundred and fifty dollars. Yeah. Chelsea: You would? You would spend that much? Estie Insider Podcast: Does that include facial massage? Rebekah: facial massage, derma planing. And yeah, but some people's Estie Insider Podcast: No basic facial. No basic facial. Rebekah: basic facial includes derma planing. Chelsea: Yeah, mine includes dermaplini. Rebekah: Yeah. We're talking no Estie Insider Podcast: well Rebekah: no chemical peel, no laser, no microneedling. But like yeah, I would spend two hundred and fifty bucks.Feels good. Looks good. Chelsea: Do you wanna book my two hundred and fifty dollar facial that I just started offering? That I just it includes Derby. Rebekah: Liar that that I just now came up with. But like so just a basic Estie Insider Podcast: Okay. Rebekah: facial as a treat, like just to lay there for like 90 minutes. Like w Estie Insider Podcast: Yeah. Rebekah: the girl that also has a suite right here, she has a 90 minute facial. I don't know how much, it's definitely not 250, but I've booked a 90 minute facial with her and my God, she is very like massage heavy, like focuses on touch and God, that feels good. Chelsea: Sure. And ninety minutes the yeah. Estie Insider Podcast: Yeah. Rebekah: it's like my face feels good. And then Estie Insider Podcast: Yeah. That I paid two fifty. Rebekah: she also does an arm and hand massage. She does a scalp massage. She can do a foot massage. And I listen, I fucking loved it. Estie Insider Podcast: Well, I'm talking the facials that we learned in the in school where or if you're thinking about going into a chain, the basic cleanse, exfoliate mask. Chelsea: I I think I would I think I would s to me I'd be like I'll spend a hundred and fifty before tip. Rebekah: Yeah. Jacqueline, I don't know what you aren't understanding. I would pay two hundred and fifty dollars. I don't care. For me to Estie Insider Podcast: Bitch, it doesn't come with dermaplane. Okay? It's just the basic. You'd pay two fifty for a basic facial is crazy. Chelsea: This is Rebekah: lay down for 90 minutes and have someone rub me down, yeah. Estie Insider Podcast: No, no, fifty fifty minutes. Chelsea: She's a bougie bitch. She's a bougie bitch. Rebekah: Fifty for fifty? I'd spend okay, two hundred bucks. Two hundred bucks. Estie Insider Podcast: Okay, a European facial is fift Chelsea: Hey, Estie Insider Podcast: fifty minutes, is it not? Chelsea: it's okay. If she if she wants to spend two fifty, she can spend two fifty. Rebekah: Yeah. Estie Insider Podcast: Okay, that's fine. It's really not that deep. Rebekah: But the Chelsea: No, it's not. No, Jacqueline's got some internal sh Rebekah: But like for a Estie Insider Podcast: Rebecca goes Rebekah: Here's the thing. I think you're down I think you're downplaying how good just a quote unquote basic facial could be. And I think Chelsea: Totally. Rebekah: it could be if you have a good esthetician, I think it could be fabulous. And I've had great basic facials that I spend a shit ton of money on. Love it. Estie Insider Podcast: I think I would go one fifty and I'm talking b like no derma plane, no modalities, none of that. I would do one fifty for a European facial what we learned in school. Rebekah: What you learned in school. Chelsea: Ha Damn. I thought this was gonna be light and easy and we're just gonna blast we're gonna blast through these this list and we'd be like, Well what else are we gonna talk about? And now we're like this is getting very controversial. Estie Insider Podcast: It is really not that deep. I don't know why. I don't know why I'm like trying to fight Rebecca right now on this shit, but Rebekah: Why are you just let me spend my money. Let me spend my money. No. Estie Insider Podcast: Over here, let me save your money. No, no. I do think that if it's the right person, absolutely. I keep hearing myself. absolutely, I'm just thinking like the most basic facial, but 250 is great, Rebecca. I think that's great. I'm gonna go with 150 and Chelsea's gonna go 150, maybe. I don't know. Chelsea: Yeah, I said one fifty. I would spend one fifty. Estie Insider Podcast: if there's massage, like a full-on facial massage in there. Rebekah: good. Mm mm mm Estie Insider Podcast: and scalp and arm, yes, two fifty I would, but the basic visual Anyway Anyway Chelsea: I'm dying. I'm dying. Rebekah: You guys just don't appreciate facials as much as I do, okay? Chelsea: love you know what I love what I love most Estie Insider Podcast: Okay, no. Chelsea: about this whatever argument debate that we're having is we've gone through a list of Botox and fillers and microneeling Estie Insider Podcast: Mm. Chelsea: and peels and and our biggest debate is on a basic facial Rebekah: Isn't worth the money. And that's what we've offer. Estie Insider Podcast: No, I'm I just don't want someone to just barely touch my face and I spend two fifty on it. I need like I need a really, really relaxing but that's not basic. that's that's relaxing, that's elevated. Rebekah: Next next my Estie Insider Podcast: The one thing we disagree on. Chelsea: My face hurts. I know. A basic face. Estie Insider Podcast: okay, laser hair removal. Rebekah: Mm. Estie Insider Podcast: I'm too pussy to get laser hair removal. Rebekah: I don't even know the going Chelsea: You know what I Rebekah: rate for that. Chelsea: I know, I I did it, so I've I'm certified. Well, I sh I don't know if I should say I'm certified. I got certified twenty years Estie Insider Podcast: Same. Chelsea: ago and used to do it. And I would in between clients, if I was slow, I'd laser myself. And at Rebekah: Nice. Chelsea: that point it was worth it. I loved it. But I Estie Insider Podcast: Yeah, but no. Chelsea: I have not like spent the money to go and get touch-ups. It's more the time just going to do it. I I Estie Insider Podcast: Okay. Chelsea: think it's great. If it's a great laser, I think it's worth it. Especially underarms Rebekah: Yeah. Chelsea: and chin hairs and Estie Insider Podcast: guess the I guess the idea is is will it get rid of my hair? is that an investment I wanna I wanna make. So I mean Chelsea: Right. Yes, yeah. Estie Insider Podcast: yes but I am afraid that of like the pain when people but everyone says waxing is worse than laser hair removal. So Rebekah: Mm-hmm. Estie Insider Podcast: I think I would want to dabble in it. Yeah, just gotta get into it. Chelsea: I think it depends on the person, yeah. But I think I think it's worth it. I do. I think it's worth Estie Insider Podcast: okay, IPL and BBL, but not BBL. Not BBL laser. Chelsea: Not not the booty BBL. Yeah. Rebekah: The laser BDL. Estie Insider Podcast: and for those of you who don't know Rebekah: Yes, Jacqueline? Chelsea: Or just what Estie Insider Podcast: what it is. For those Chelsea: it is. Estie Insider Podcast: of you that don't know which what IPL and BBL are, IPL is Indian nope. Nope. Chelsea: Indian what? Rebekah: In the end. Chelsea: Intense pulse light. Estie Insider Podcast: In intense intense pulsed light and BBL Chelsea: Intense pulse like Estie Insider Podcast: is broadband light, not a BBL, so they're Chelsea: But I think they're all aren't they both the same thing, it's just different names. Estie Insider Podcast: They're non invasive, yeah. The they're technically you're they're technically not a laser, just so you guys know. Chelsea: Yes. So I loved again, I haven't gone back. I just don't do stuff for myself, apparently, but I loved doing IPL. At the time it was called IPL, but it was so good for reds and browns. but it is. The difference is that they I learned a laser beam is like the same amount of concentrated energy into a like a laser beam and a IPL is scattered light, like a flashlight. So it's Estie Insider Podcast: Yeah. Chelsea: as it spreads out, it diffuses. And so but it Estie Insider Podcast: BBL is more customizable Chelsea: Yeah. Estie Insider Podcast: in areas and then IPL is more, yeah, like like more surface. But Chelsea: I don't know. Yeah. BBL's new I never worked but I I feel like they're the same concept. I don't know. Again, this is my episode of misinformation, Estie Insider Podcast: I would I would try it. I mean the pain. Chelsea: so let's not listen to anything that I say. Rebekah: I tried a series of IPL treatments and I saw zero change in my skin. But that Chelsea: Really interesting. Rebekah: being said, I had I've had other laser treatments. I used to get a laser MD treatment once a year, and I the downtime is pretty it's Chelsea: Yeah. Rebekah: crazy, but I loved the way my skin looked after. So not to say that no laser is worth it. I think it depends on the laser and your skin type. Like Chelsea: Right. Rebekah: BB the IPL, I've no joke, I saw zero change in my skin. But that could also just be the practitioner I was working with and maybe Chelsea: Right. The settings Estie Insider Podcast: Yeah. Chelsea: of the the actual laser itself, the setting like the Estie Insider Podcast: Yeah. Rebekah: Yeah. Chelsea: the laser and IPL that I worked with at the plastic surgeon's office, I loved. I got great results with that. I went to the med spa and the mach the laser hair removal was awful. I would max out Rebekah: Yeah, so it all depends. Chelsea: the settings and nothing. And I hated trying to sell it or sell packages because I'm like, they're not getting any results. Our our IPL, Estie Insider Podcast: Yeah, you're not believing in it. Chelsea: I can't remember the brand of our. of our IPL, but it was pretty good. Rebekah: I want to try BBL. I've seen before and afters and it looks promising. It's wicked expensive. but I do want to try Chelsea: Is it? Estie Insider Podcast: Yeah. So you would probably try, spend your money on it. Rebekah: I would. I would. Chelsea: Yeah, I think I would. I would too. Estie Insider Podcast: okay. I I I would try it. depending on the Yeah, Rebekah: Have you done laser on your face? Estie Insider Podcast: when I was little, they my parents got me into the dermatologist and it hurts so bad and I don't ever want to go do it again. I felt like bacon spraying on your face constantly. So I Rebekah: PTSD. Estie Insider Podcast: don't know what kind I think I was thirteen or twelve, so it's like Chelsea: gosh, yeah. Estie Insider Podcast: Alright, CO two fractional resurfacing laser. Rebekah: Mm. Estie Insider Podcast: No. Rebekah: I want to try that. Chelsea: I it I've had cli Estie Insider Podcast: I'm too scared. Chelsea: I've had clients do it. It looks so good. I I'm chicken. Or Estie Insider Podcast: Too scared. Chelsea: it's like the de it's the downtime that I'm like. Yes. Yes. Yeah. Rebekah: I think I would do it if I was put to sleep. You know when people get facelifts and they they add laser on top after while they're still under anesthesia? Totally. If I ever get a facelift, doing it. Chelsea: Yeah. it looks amazing. Estie Insider Podcast: But I I'm just afraid of the pain like after too. And freaking out seeing yourself like that. B yeah, yep, yep. All right. How much would you Rebekah: Pain is beauty, babe. Chelsea: I know. But I get I get freaked out with so I'm super susceptible to cold sores and not just on my lip. Rebekah: Yeah. Chelsea: I've had them up like on my eyebrow. I've had it this was a long time ago, but when I think of like an intense laser treatment like that, I'm like I have no idea if I'm just gonna totally flare up with cold sores. So I get I get nervous about Rebekah: Mmm. Yeah, Chelsea: that. That kind of what holds me back. Rebekah: Valid. Estie Insider Podcast: okay, how mu how much would you guys spend on red light, LED light therapy? Rebekah: It a treatment? Zero. Zero. Estie Insider Podcast: Here we go. Chelsea: Yeah, right. Estie Insider Podcast: Zero. I would seriously Chelsea: I Estie Insider Podcast: spend zero. But I would do it. Rebekah: That's something that needs to be cumulative. So like I like it, especially if I know my clients use it at home and then I Estie Insider Podcast: Yeah. Rebekah: I add it Chelsea: Right. Rebekah: on to the end of their treatment. And I'm like, sweet, you don't have to use your LED mask tonight because like we did it here. But Estie Insider Podcast: Yeah, yeah. Rebekah: like just a one off in a room, it's not gonna do anything. Chelsea: Yeah, people coming in to just get red light once a week. It's like it's not doing anything. I know. Rebekah: Yeah, not gonna do it again. Well, maybe Estie Insider Podcast: Yeah. Don't yeah. Pain, yeah. Full body ones, yes. Rebekah: for pain. For pain. Yeah, for pain, but I'm I'm not currently in pain. So Chelsea: Yeah. Yeah. Estie Insider Podcast: Okay, so what about would you guys spend money on an at home LED light? Yes, I would. I think Chelsea: I did, yeah, yeah. Yeah, I have. Estie Insider Podcast: we we would all do that because we do believe in that it does work. Rebekah: Yeah, it does. Estie Insider Podcast: okay, and then derma planing, absolutely. 1000%. Chelsea: Hundred percent. Rebekah: Mm, mm-hmm. Estie Insider Podcast: Okay, microderm abrasion, no. Chelsea: I use it. I do treatments Estie Insider Podcast: Yeah. Chelsea: with microderm. I love it. Estie Insider Podcast: hate it. I'm sorry. I've hated it since school. But that's just Rebekah: We didn't learn how to do it in school, but I do have my hydroderm machine has a microderm abrasion attachment. And I've done it like on my husband and I loved it for his back, but I've never really dabbled into it with clients, but I could see where it could be useful. I think I think if I Chelsea: I my c Rebekah: dove into it, I would love it. Chelsea: my clients that don't want or like derma planing, like there because I feel like there are there are some who dermaplaning it's to them, it's like it's like overstimulating. Estie Insider Podcast: Hmm. Chelsea: I so I use it a lot. I use microderm a ton for and I just it's light, I keep the suction really light. I love like as an acne client gets clear. And I don't want to dermaplane them yet because I feel like it might be too much for them. I'll microderm and do a light peel. And I love it. I love it on the nose. I feel like you can get it a little bit you can get in the crevices and the texture Estie Insider Podcast: Yeah. Chelsea: on the nose. It's so old school. It's so old school, but I love it. Rebekah: Might I might have to dabble. I might have to dabble. Estie Insider Podcast: do a high I would do a hydrofacial knockoff where it's like it sucks Chelsea: Mm-hmm. Estie Insider Podcast: and also like infuses. I like that aspect of it. Rebekah: Well the diamond glow is both. The diam Diamond Glow is microderm Estie Insider Podcast: I would do the diamond glow. I wouldn't just do strictly microderm. Chelsea: Yeah. Rebekah: plus hydroderm. Estie Insider Podcast: I would do the hydroderm part. Chelsea: Yeah, I do I do a lot of microderm, I include it just you include derma planing in a facial, I'll I'll do microderm and the re I just feel like it preps the skin for as lock Rebekah: And you always do microderm first, right? Before any enzymatic or chemical peel. Okay. I need to dabble that one. Yeah. Chelsea: Yes. Yep. Yeah. Yep. I I love it. I'm just saying I I Estie Insider Podcast: Yeah. Chelsea: get it. I get that it's so old school and I I think it's just like when I went to school, that's really I learned derma planing in school too, but we learned microderm that. It was popular back then and I but Estie Insider Podcast: Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Chelsea: I just feel like it's something that has stuck around. But if you're not taught on it, then you don't really like look to Rebekah: Yeah, we never were. Chelsea: it. Yeah. Estie Insider Podcast: No, we used it in school, but I just felt like the tips were never sandy enough or like they were just very dull. And yeah, Chelsea: Sure. Yeah. Rebekah: You need a different grit. Estie Insider Podcast: and I was like, I don't know how to properly clean like this to me is gross. Like, you know, we can tr take take out the filters stuff. I just and then I don't know. But I would not be opposed to like the diamond glow or anything like that. Like I do think that there is space for it, but I personally if I was would you rather have a basic facial or microderm? I would get the basic facial. personally. But the Rebekah: now you want the basic facial. Chelsea: She would spend she would spend two hundred and seventy five on it. Rebekah: Ha ha ha Estie Insider Podcast: On that, over the microdur, no. okay. Wait, I was gonna ask one that's not on here, but I j okay. what was it? Rebekah: Are you okay? Estie Insider Podcast: my god. Well my phone just said 20% battery, so Rebekah: Jesus. Estie Insider Podcast: I know. So guys, what was okay Glacial? Chelsea: No. No. Rebekah: No. Chelsea: she's she's throwing in the controversy. No, I'm sorry. I wouldn't. Estie Insider Podcast: We would cold hammer or cold globes. We Chelsea: Yeah. Estie Insider Podcast: would prefer to do that, right? Okay, Rebekah: Yes. Estie Insider Podcast: these are the these are the fun ones that I wanted to to ask you guys. Where are we putting the money? All right. Three. I'm gonna give you the Rebekah: we each have an allotted budget. Estie Insider Podcast: number and it's like, are we gonna put it here or are we gonna put it here? Okay. So Chelsea: Okay. Estie Insider Podcast: this segment is called Where Are We Putting the Money? All right, three. Rebekah: Weird. Where are we putting the money? $500 skincare haul or $500 microneedling? Chelsea: Ooh. Estie Insider Podcast: Skincare. I want I want all new skincare for five hundred. Chelsea: I know. Estie Insider Podcast: Then one session for microhandling. Think about it. Rebekah: Skin care hall. I'm gonna say skincare hall. Chelsea: I know. I just know that it's in the long run, you know, having the skincare at home. I know. I do love I do love microneedling though. Yeah. Estie Insider Podcast: Yeah. And you being able to use it multiple times, yeah. okay, monthly hydrofacial or a quarterly corrective treatment. Rebekah: Quarterly corrective. Chelsea: Quarterly corrective. Estie Insider Podcast: Quarterly corrective. I would say that. I would say that. thousand dollars a year in facials or a thousand dollars towards laser resurfacing. Rebekah: Laser. Estie Insider Podcast: Facial. Chelsea: thousand worth of facials. It's a lot of facials. Rebekah: It's a lot of facials. In Jacqueline's world, that's a lot of facials. Estie Insider Podcast: In a year. Chelsea: It's not very many. It's only four. It's only four for Rebecca. Hers is quarterly facial. Estie Insider Podcast: That's a lot of basic facials over here. See? Rebecca, do you see how when you you know how much you would if you have to spend in the Rebekah: Get off my back. Get Chelsea: She sees it. She sees it. She doesn't care. She she's getting she's Rebekah: get off my back. Chelsea: booking herself a two hundred and fifty dollar basic facial. And Estie Insider Podcast: Ha ha ha. Chelsea: she's proud of it. Nobody can tell her otherwise. It's all right. I'm here for it. I'm here for it. Rebekah: Yeah. But I would rather spend Estie Insider Podcast: No, no. Rebekah: that money on laser. Here's the thing, I would divvy it up because the laser that I got, I think it was six fifty. Do one laser resurfacing in the fall after the summer and then Chelsea: Yes. Rebekah: spend the rest of the money on two facials throughout the year. Yeah. Chelsea: Yeah, I know. But I think we had to put towards one or the other and Ugh. I know. If I could use if I had if I Rebekah: Whatever. I like to break the rules. I like to break the rules. Estie Insider Podcast: Rebecca, I don't think you're understanding the question. It's one or the other. Chelsea: had my good skincare that I could also use throughout the year, I would do the laser and then keep up with my good skincare. Estie Insider Podcast: So we're about fifteen hundred dollars in, yeah. Yeah. Rebekah: Mm-hmm. Chelsea: I don't know. That's a hard one.
