- 0:07Speaker 1: And this is the big boss dog, Snoopy Deagle Double Jizzle. Damn.
- 0:10Speaker 3: Boom.
- 0:11Speaker 1: What you gonna do?
- 0:11Speaker 2: John Jay and Rich.
- 0:13Speaker 4: We not talkin' about Ren 10-10.
- 0:14Speaker 2: We not talkin' about Lassie.
- 0:16Speaker 1: It's the one and only dog, y'all.
- 0:17Speaker 4: The classiest Lassie.
- 0:18Speaker 2: Big Snoopy Double Jizzle.
- 0:20Speaker 1: In your face to be and in the place to be.
- 0:22Speaker 2: And you're listenin' to John Jay and Rich.
- 0:24Speaker 1: Wake your ass up.
- 0:26Speaker 4: Rich, today is National Treat Yourself Day. That comes from
- 0:30Speaker 4: Parks and Rec, but, you know, treat yourself. It is also,
- 0:33Speaker 4: and I love this, National Kick Butt Day. Whatever you do,
- 0:37Speaker 4: kick butt. And on a more, you know, breast cancer
- 0:40Speaker 4: awareness level, it is National No Bra Day. So that
- 0:45Speaker 4: is tied to breast cancer awareness, so. I did not
- 0:48Speaker 4: wear a bra in today for that reason.
- 0:49Speaker 1: I actually saw that on the news over the weekend.
- 0:51Speaker 1: They were promoting it. I saw it on Saturday Night Live.
- 0:53Speaker 1: They were talking about it during their weekend update about
- 0:55Speaker 1: no bra day.
- 0:56Speaker 4: That's funny.
- 0:56Speaker 2: I think that's great.
- 0:58Speaker 4: Let him hang.
- 1:00Speaker 1: I've been saving something since March 31st, 2026. Wow. It
- 1:05Speaker 1: was an article that I read, and I had never
- 1:07Speaker 1: heard of this before. And I asked Rich about it,
- 1:09Speaker 1: and he knew about it. So I saved it. I said,
- 1:11Speaker 1: someday this will come up on the show. And then
- 1:13Speaker 1: Kyle brings it up. It's called meet-cutes. Like, I said
- 1:18Speaker 1: to Rich, what's a meet-cute? What is a meet-cute?
- 1:21Speaker 5: A meet-cute is like, it's like a cute story.
- 1:24Speaker 2: About how you meet someone actually in public.
- 1:27Speaker 5: It's like the age-old rom-com of meeting this hot guy
- 1:31Speaker 5: in the produce department of.
- 1:32Speaker 1: A grocery store.
- 1:34Speaker 5: That's a meet cute, because that's the story, like a
- 1:36Speaker 5: cute story about how you met your significant other or
- 1:38Speaker 5: friend or coworker in public.
- 1:40Speaker 1: Do you have an article on that? Do you have
- 1:41Speaker 1: some information on it?
- 1:42Speaker 5: Yeah, so in Psychology Today, they did a piece saying
- 1:45Speaker 5: these were coming back because... A lot of people are
- 1:47Speaker 5: sick of the dating apps. They don't want to meet.
- 1:48Speaker 5: They actually want to have a meet cute. Like they
- 1:50Speaker 5: want to like, okay, I ran into this guy in
- 1:53Speaker 5: the coffee shop and we, we felt the chemistry. We said, hello, we,
- 1:56Speaker 5: the sparks flew and.
- 1:57Speaker 2: Now we're dating.
- 1:58Speaker 1: Did you know what a meet queue was before that?
- 2:00Speaker 5: Not really.
- 2:00Speaker 1: Okay, yeah. So I didn't know what that was.
- 2:02Speaker 3: No.
- 2:02Speaker 1: Because I have celebrity meet queues.
- 2:04Speaker 3: Oh, okay.
- 2:04Speaker 1: I love it. Okay, tell us more.
- 2:06Speaker 5: No, it was just like ideas that in the psychology
- 2:09Speaker 5: piece today, it was like ideas of like where you
- 2:11Speaker 5: could have potentially a meet queue, like the grocery store,
- 2:14Speaker 5: the gym, a coffee shop, airport. These are places that
- 2:17Speaker 5: people actually want to meet someone in real life rather
- 2:20Speaker 5: than just having your head down in an app and then,
- 2:22Speaker 5: you know, whatever. Because that way you feel the real
- 2:25Speaker 5: chemistry before. So it kind of, It kind.
- 2:28Speaker 1: Of skips a step.
- 2:29Speaker 5: On the dating app, you can see a person and
- 2:31Speaker 5: be somewhat attracted to them, but chemistry in person is
- 2:34Speaker 5: very different.
- 2:35Speaker 3: Totally.
- 2:35Speaker 1: Isn't it funny that that's a thing now? Because it
- 2:37Speaker 1: used to be, that's how you met.
- 2:38Speaker 5: Everything becomes full circle, right?
- 2:40Speaker 1: But because of technology, now the way we used to
- 2:44Speaker 1: be is a big deal.
- 2:45Speaker 5: But like, so then the article went on and said,
- 2:47Speaker 5: those are, you know, the coffee shop and stuff like that.
- 2:49Speaker 2: Those are great ideas.
- 2:50Speaker 5: But is it still okay to approach a stranger in public?
- 2:55Speaker 5: Because now people are so used to meeting people on
- 2:57Speaker 5: the apps and stuff like that.
- 2:58Speaker 2: They may be thrown off. Yeah. I wouldn't hit the
- 3:00Speaker 2: gym anymore. They may not be ready for that. That
- 3:02Speaker 2: used to be cool, but I think it would be
- 3:03Speaker 2: weird now.
- 3:04Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 3:05Speaker 2: You met somebody at the gym and you like, because
- 3:06Speaker 2: you would seem like a creep.
- 3:08Speaker 1: You seem like a creep. Unless the only time it's
- 3:10Speaker 1: not creepy is if you're extremely handsome.
- 3:13Speaker 2: Then they're okay with it.
- 3:14Speaker 5: No, you're totally right.
- 3:14Speaker 1: They're really handsome. They're okay with the meet-cute, but if
- 3:17Speaker 1: you're not, right?
- 3:18Speaker 2: Yeah, just shut up and let me talk to you.
- 3:19Speaker 5: Yeah, and then it was like, you have to know
- 3:20Speaker 5: what places are off-limits.
- 3:22Speaker 1: Here are some celebrity meet-cutes. Lana Del Rey. Do you
- 3:24Speaker 1: guys know how she met her husband?
- 3:25Speaker 3: No. Well, he's an alligator tour guide in Louisiana.
- 3:29Speaker 1: That's how they met.
- 3:30Speaker 3: Okay. Yeah.
- 3:30Speaker 1: Glanadori met her husband, Jeremy Dufresne, on a swamp tour
- 3:34Speaker 1: in Louisiana. He was the boat's captain and tour guide.
- 3:36Speaker 2: Oh, that's the best. And he still does it.
- 3:39Speaker 3: Like, when I went to Mardi Gras back in February,
- 3:41Speaker 3: we had him as our guy, but it was raining,
- 3:43Speaker 3: so we couldn't go.
- 3:44Speaker 1: Stanley Tucci. You know who Stanley Tucci is?
- 3:46Speaker 3: Yeah. Oh, yeah.
- 3:47Speaker 1: He's in everything. Devil Wears Prada, Hunger Games. He met
- 3:51Speaker 1: his now wife, Felicity Blunt. at the wedding of her sister,
- 3:55Speaker 1: Emily Blunt, to John Krasinski. That is a meet-cute. It's
- 3:58Speaker 1: a meet-cute.
- 3:59Speaker 3: In a lot of weddings.
- 4:01Speaker 1: Sarah Hyland. You know Sarah Hyland?
- 4:03Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 4:04Speaker 1: She's the daughter on Modern Family. Yeah. She met her husband,
- 4:08Speaker 1: Bachelor in Paradise, Wells Adams, on Twitter, where she often
- 4:12Speaker 1: posted about him.
- 4:14Speaker 2: She did.
- 4:15Speaker 1: And they got married in 2022.
- 4:18Speaker 2: Wells, he's a good one. He's still a good one.
- 4:19Speaker 5: I wonder if that's a meet-cute, though, because that's kind
- 4:21Speaker 5: of online.
- 4:22Speaker 1: It is. Well, it's on this article. I mean, it
- 4:24Speaker 1: is a cute way to meet.
- 4:25Speaker 2: She's a celebrity, so.
- 4:27Speaker 1: Well, here's another one then. Vanessa Hudgens, she met her
- 4:31Speaker 1: Major League Baseball star, Cole Tucker. They met in a
- 4:33Speaker 1: Zoom meditation group during the pandemic. Now they're married and
- 4:36Speaker 1: have two kids.
- 4:37Speaker 2: Oh, that's sweet.
- 4:38Speaker 3: They're super cute.
- 4:38Speaker 2: I think they got married here.
- 4:40Speaker 1: Melissa Etheridge's wife, Linda Wellum, was a showrunner for the
- 4:44Speaker 1: TV show, that 80s show. When they met, Linda wanted
- 4:46Speaker 1: to cast Melissa on the show. It didn't work out,
- 4:48Speaker 1: but something else did. Matt Damon- Met his wife, Luciana.
- 4:53Speaker 1: This is a crazy story. Met his wife. She was
- 4:56Speaker 1: working at a club in Miami. He was running from
- 4:59Speaker 1: fans that recognized him on the streets, and he hid,
- 5:02Speaker 1: and she put him to work at the bar making drinks.
- 5:05Speaker 3: That's amazing.
- 5:06Speaker 2: Come on. That's great. That's a movie in itself, isn't it?
- 5:10Speaker 2: Make a Long Island tea.
- 5:11Speaker 1: Matt Damon. Here's a movie. Stephen Colbert. He flew back
- 5:14Speaker 1: to his hometown of Charleston, South Carolina, to decide whether
- 5:18Speaker 1: he wanted to marry his then-girlfriend. He went with his
- 5:21Speaker 1: mother to a musical, and at the after party, he
- 5:23Speaker 1: met Evelyn McVie, the woman he would eventually marry.
- 5:26Speaker 3: Aww.
- 5:26Speaker 2: With his mom, too. So she's probably like, that's a
- 5:29Speaker 2: good one. You need to lock that down. Yeah, totally.
- 5:31Speaker 2: Moms know stuff.
- 5:32Speaker 1: That's a good little meet-cute. Like, Peyton, you met your
- 5:35Speaker 1: husband at a basketball game.
- 5:36Speaker 3: Yep, in a basketball gym.
- 5:38Speaker 2: Kyle, you met.
- 5:39Speaker 1: Your husband here.
- 5:40Speaker 3: At work.
- 5:40Speaker 1: At work. Rich, how'd you meet your wife?
- 5:42Speaker 4: I know it doesn't look like it, but I met
- 5:44Speaker 4: her at the gym.
- 5:47Speaker 2: She said hello to me and I fell off the treadmill.
- 5:49Speaker 1: What about you, John Jay?
- 5:51Speaker 3: How did you and Blake meet?
- 5:53Speaker 1: I met her at a party. I had a broken leg.
- 5:57Speaker 1: I had a broken ankle and I had a cast
- 5:59Speaker 1: and my friend was driving. She goes, we're going to
- 6:01Speaker 1: a party because I got to stop at my friend's
- 6:02Speaker 1: house to pick up these jello shots. And it was
- 6:05Speaker 1: Blake's house. And she had all the jello shots.
- 6:07Speaker 3: She gives a jello shot girl vibe.
- 6:08Speaker 1: She had a tray of jello shots and I was
- 6:11Speaker 1: in the front seat and Blake just like threw them
- 6:12Speaker 1: in my lap. And then I went to the party
- 6:15Speaker 1: and Blake was there with a dude and they're like
- 6:16Speaker 1: making out. And I was like, what's up with that couple?
- 6:19Speaker 4: Aww.
- 6:19Speaker 1: Aww.
- 6:19Speaker 3: Wow.
- 6:25Speaker 1: And then we ended up working together and she would
- 6:27Speaker 1: come over to my cubicle and complain about the guy
- 6:29Speaker 1: she was dating. I'll never forget. Here's the exact quote
- 6:31Speaker 1: from her. She'd be in my cubicle crying. Why are
- 6:33Speaker 1: you crying? She'd be like, because Alex and I, we
- 6:37Speaker 1: love each other. We want to be together. We just
- 6:39Speaker 1: can't be together. I was like, go in another cubicle.
- 6:41Speaker 2: No, I feel like that.
- 6:42Speaker 3: Might actually be a thing where it's like, because I,
- 6:45Speaker 3: when I met Kareem, The first time he was ever
- 6:49Speaker 3: around me, I was crying about my ex and complaining
- 6:51Speaker 3: to him.
- 6:51Speaker 2: I had no idea who he was. I was like,
- 6:52Speaker 2: this sucks.
- 6:53Speaker 4: Who knew?
- 6:54Speaker 2: Who knew that was a way to get a guy?
- 6:56Speaker 4: I know, right?
- 6:56Speaker 2: So that's all it is.
- 6:57Speaker 3: Just if you're interested in someone, just talk about your ex.
- 7:00Speaker 2: Complain about your current dude. Complain about whoever it is.
- 7:02Speaker 5: You won't be friend-zoned for long.
- 7:04Speaker 2: Exactly. Would you see me?
- 7:06Speaker 3: It worked for John Jay.
- 7:06Speaker 1: It worked for me. If you got a cute meet
- 7:09Speaker 1: cute story or you met somebody in a very unique situation,
- 7:13Speaker 1: we'd like to hear about it.
- 7:14Speaker 3: 877-937-1047.
