- 1:08Speaker 1: Let's jump right into Flipping for Christmas with a synopsis.
- 1:12Speaker 2: All right, it's almost Christmas. When busy realtor Abigail agrees
- 1:16Speaker 2: to help her sister with the simple flip of a
- 1:19Speaker 2: recently inherited home. Unfortunately, co owner Bo has other plans
- 1:26Speaker 2: in mind.
- 1:27Speaker 1: This does start Ashley Newbrow as Abigail. She has twenty
- 1:31Speaker 1: eight acting credits. I was surprised by that number. I
- 1:33Speaker 1: would have guessed it was higher. It includes this year's
- 1:36Speaker 1: Love and Glacier National. She's also in a new installment.
- 1:39Speaker 1: She's actually in four new installments of The Love Club
- 1:43Speaker 1: coming next year.
- 1:44Speaker 2: Look, that's blowing my mind reading this note, because this
- 1:49Speaker 2: year's The Love Club.
- 1:51Speaker 1: Movies didn't do that well, not great. Why most of
- 1:54Speaker 1: them were direct to Hallmark Movies Now. Why would they
- 1:58Speaker 1: make four more? In fact, they were on Hallmark Movies Now,
- 2:01Speaker 1: and then they pulled one after it had already been
- 2:03Speaker 1: on that app to air on the network.
- 2:05Speaker 2: Yeah, they dumped them on like a Tuesday night here,
- 2:08Speaker 2: and a super random schedule for them. I don't understand
- 2:12Speaker 2: why they're making four more unless they're better.
- 2:15Speaker 1: We'll see, I guess one can only hope. Yeah.
- 2:17Speaker 2: Marcus Rosner plays Bo. He has fifty acting credits. He
- 2:21Speaker 2: will also appear with Ashley in another Love Club installment,
- 2:25Speaker 2: So is he going to be in just one of
- 2:27Speaker 2: those movies.
- 2:27Speaker 1: You said, yeah, and he was in one of the originals. Again,
- 2:31Speaker 1: they're calling it the first season and now we have
- 2:33Speaker 1: season two.
- 2:34Speaker 2: Gotcha. He's also in another holiday movie this year. It's
- 2:37Speaker 2: called Coupled Up for Christmas, streaming on an app called Plex.
- 2:41Speaker 1: I don't know if there's another network that originally aired
- 2:43Speaker 1: that now it's streaming. But honestly, the poster looks kind of.
- 2:47Speaker 2: Cute you and your posters this year.
- 2:49Speaker 1: How I mean, it's advertising, it's marketing is working.
- 2:52Speaker 2: Btw One of our awesome Facebook members photoshopped Megan into
- 2:59Speaker 2: the Mystic Christmas poster and we get a real good
- 3:02Speaker 2: laugh about it in our group. I'm gonna put it
- 3:04Speaker 2: on our Instagram because I think it.
- 3:06Speaker 1: Is so dang funny.
- 3:07Speaker 2: I think it's real funny.
- 3:08Speaker 1: Natalie Lasinka plays Claire sister Claire. She has sixty six
- 3:12Speaker 1: acting credits, including a role in the Prime TV series
- 3:15Speaker 1: The Lake. She has previously appeared in Hallmark movies Christmas
- 3:19Speaker 1: in Angel Falls and Under the Autumn Moon On as
- 3:22Speaker 1: plays assistant in Jessica. She has eight acting credits, including
- 3:25Speaker 1: a Christmas thriller called The Christmas Spirit Man Has the
- 3:29Speaker 1: Christmas Spirit Stuck in his head. By the way, what
- 3:31Speaker 1: channel is that on?
- 3:33Speaker 2: All right? Ray Galletti plays Antonio. He has sixty four
- 3:38Speaker 2: acting credits, including Working Moms, and he last appeared on
- 3:41Speaker 2: Hallmarks in Season for Love. I don't even remember that movie.
- 3:46Speaker 1: No, it's been a minute, okay. This movie was written
- 3:48Speaker 1: by Brett Hurd. This is Brett Hallmark's debut. He has
- 3:51Speaker 1: written a series of short films as well as early
- 3:55Speaker 1: in his career he wrote on television shows Originals and
- 3:59Speaker 1: Life Unjarred.
- 4:01Speaker 2: The director of this movie is Catherine Beryl and this
- 4:04Speaker 2: is her first movie directing credit. She has three credits
- 4:08Speaker 2: for short films. She's also appeared as an actress in
- 4:13Speaker 2: The Good Witch, Winona Irp and Working Moms.
- 4:17Speaker 1: Peter McNeil play's grandfather Edward. He has a whopping two
- 4:20Speaker 1: hundred and six acting credits. Hallmark fans will know him
- 4:24Speaker 1: from his recurring role on The Good Witch.
- 4:27Speaker 2: Finally, this was filmed in Ontario, Canada, during March and
- 4:32Speaker 2: April of twenty twenty three.
- 4:34Speaker 1: I cannot wait to hear your first impression of this movie.
- 4:37Speaker 1: And before we give it, let me say I had
- 4:39Speaker 1: a very strong reaction to this movie. And then the
- 4:42Speaker 1: community had a very strong reaction to our movie coming
- 4:46Speaker 1: later this week, and I was all fired up in
- 4:49Speaker 1: the background, just wondering what you were going to think.
- 4:52Speaker 1: So let's hear your first impression.
- 4:53Speaker 2: It's a hallmark of your and yours.
- 4:58Speaker 1: Who leaves a house to two unrelated people. Look, this is.
- 5:02Speaker 2: Not an unfamiliar storyline for homework, though, So I don't
- 5:06Speaker 2: understand why you're so upset. It's a dumb one. I'll
- 5:10Speaker 2: give you that.
- 5:11Speaker 1: I know that we've seen this. We saw it in
- 5:13Speaker 1: that Vineyard movie and then we saw it again with
- 5:18Speaker 1: the candy shop gets left to two people. Yes. See,
- 5:20Speaker 1: to me, there's a difference between leaving a business to
- 5:22Speaker 1: two people and leaving a home to two unrelated people.
- 5:26Speaker 1: And here's why two unrelated people are not likely, unless
- 5:30Speaker 1: you're in the Hallmark world, to live in this home together. Sure,
- 5:35Speaker 1: now you've got a conflict of interests. The only logical
- 5:39Speaker 1: solution here is to sell this home. I agree, So
- 5:42Speaker 1: it should be the house is to be sold, with
- 5:44Speaker 1: the proceeds to be split between these two individuals. I've
- 5:47Speaker 1: got so many thoughts. Let's move on.
- 5:49Speaker 2: If I may, I do think like the person who
- 5:52Speaker 2: passes and leaves said home in a will is doing
- 5:56Speaker 2: a real injustice to these two people, said it should be.
- 6:01Speaker 2: I want to leave this home to these two people,
- 6:04Speaker 2: but it must be sold in the proceeds then split. Yes,
- 6:08Speaker 2: it doesn't make any sense.
- 6:10Speaker 1: It doesn't. It makes zerus put yourselves into thunderdome and
- 6:13Speaker 1: fight to the desk to see who gets to do
- 6:15Speaker 1: what they want to do with the home.
- 6:17Speaker 2: And that is people wanted to live there, what.
- 6:22Speaker 1: I wanted to throw things that said I didn't hate
- 6:25Speaker 1: this movie. Let's talk about what we liked about it.
- 6:28Speaker 1: I gotta say I didn't hate it either. Good.
- 6:30Speaker 2: I actually thought it was very middle of the road, enjoyable,
- 6:34Speaker 2: and I think it has a lot to do with
- 6:37Speaker 2: the actors in it. Yes, not necessarily the story or
- 6:42Speaker 2: the characters.
- 6:43Speaker 1: Yes, because Bose were real pieces.
- 6:46Speaker 2: Totally. But with all that said, I do think the
- 6:49Speaker 2: plot was full of Hallmark cliches, like from top to bottom,
- 6:54Speaker 2: and it left me feeling much like my first impression,
- 6:58Speaker 2: that this was a movie we would have seen during
- 7:01Speaker 2: the previous era of Hallmark.
- 7:04Speaker 1: Yes, and mine smarter than ours tell us this was
- 7:07Speaker 1: a Hallmark acquisition and it's written by a new writer.
- 7:11Speaker 1: Who's writing that classic mad Libs Hallmark script?
- 7:16Speaker 2: Yes, didn't we just talk about that?
- 7:18Speaker 1: Yes?
- 7:18Speaker 2: And I personally think I think Megan disagrees with me,
- 7:22Speaker 2: but I think that Hallmark was like, yeah, give me
- 7:25Speaker 2: any script you've got because we're stocking up because we
- 7:29Speaker 2: know impending strikes are happening.
- 7:30Speaker 1: I'd love to see a breakdown of the numbers in
- 7:32Speaker 1: terms of how many acquisitions they have this year as
- 7:34Speaker 1: opposed to years past. We were just discussing this in
- 7:37Speaker 1: our Facebook group, and if you'd like to see that discussion,
- 7:39Speaker 1: join us at Girls Got Hallmark. And the answer for
- 7:43Speaker 1: how to determine if something is an acquisition is make
- 7:47Speaker 1: an educated guess would say unclear, yes, but this does
- 7:52Speaker 1: appear to be an acquisition. And I think that movies
- 7:57Speaker 1: like tend to be a little bit more formulaic yeah
- 8:00Speaker 1: than some that are directly produced by Hallmark.
- 8:03Speaker 2: Right, And I especially think some of our favorite writers
- 8:09Speaker 2: who write for Hallmark specifically are moving beyond those formulas. Anyway,
- 8:18Speaker 2: go on with what you liked.
- 8:19Speaker 1: Well, As you mentioned, the actors made this movie for me,
- 8:24Speaker 1: specifically Ashley and Marcus. I think their energy is well
- 8:27Speaker 1: matched in this movie. Again, I didn't love Marcus's character.
- 8:33Speaker 1: I thought Bo was a jerk. I thought he was
- 8:36Speaker 1: rigid and unwilling to compromise and not seeing the reality
- 8:40Speaker 1: of the situation. But I thought Marcus was quite pleasant
- 8:45Speaker 1: to watch on screen. I thought they had some nice interactions.
- 8:49Speaker 1: I think they're a good on screen pairing. I really
- 8:52Speaker 1: love Ashley Nurow.
- 8:54Speaker 2: I really like her too. I think she reminds me
- 8:57Speaker 2: of a cross between young Brookshields and young Denise Richards.
- 9:02Speaker 1: Oh a nd percent.
- 9:04Speaker 2: Her eyes are stunning. I really like her as an actor.
- 9:08Speaker 2: I liked her in that National Glacier movie we watched.
- 9:12Speaker 1: Sure me too.
- 9:13Speaker 2: I would like to see her more. I don't necessarily
- 9:16Speaker 2: want to watch a love Club.
- 9:18Speaker 1: Movie, though we might have to if there's gonna be
- 9:20Speaker 1: four of them. Oh so. I also, in terms of actors,
- 9:24Speaker 1: really enjoyed Peter McNeil, who plays grandfather Edward. There's a
- 9:28Speaker 1: lot of warmth in his character. I liked the teachable
- 9:32Speaker 1: moment he has with Abigail and kind of untangling the
- 9:36Speaker 1: light and she's carried forward this lesson like you're not
- 9:41Speaker 1: done when you're tired, you're done when you're done. Yeah,
- 9:44Speaker 1: And he's like, yeah, that was a mistake.
- 9:46Speaker 2: So this is so interesting to me, this secondary storyline
- 9:50Speaker 2: between their dad and the loss of their mom, and
- 9:55Speaker 2: the dad kind of like living with regret basically of
- 9:59Speaker 2: like work was more important than family and the things
- 10:02Speaker 2: that he's missed out on, and now that the mom
- 10:04Speaker 2: is gone, like him really realizing like how much the mom,
- 10:09Speaker 2: you know, the magic she created at the holiday time.
- 10:12Speaker 2: I thought was very good. I thought was a very
- 10:15Speaker 2: good storyline, and I kind of wish we got more
- 10:19Speaker 2: of that. Yeah, but I really liked that whole scene.
- 10:24Speaker 2: It just made me as an adult with aging parents,
- 10:29Speaker 2: you know, I found it very relatable.
- 10:33Speaker 1: Yes. The last thing I liked is Regletti is Antonio.
- 10:36Speaker 1: He is such a quiet villain in this movie. From
- 10:40Speaker 1: the way he speaks, it's almost like a joke. I
- 10:45Speaker 1: liked his villain acting in this moment got it and
- 10:49Speaker 1: the moment where they get out of the car and
- 10:52Speaker 1: he goes already walking or driving, Yeah, that holds the
- 10:54Speaker 1: block away and he hops back in the car. I
- 10:56Speaker 1: laughed out loud.
- 10:57Speaker 2: That was funny. This is what I was a little
- 11:00Speaker 2: unsure about. She was a realtor.
- 11:04Speaker 1: Who also flips home unclear. Yes, yeah, it's muddy.
- 11:08Speaker 2: It is right, because I was like, she just lands
- 11:11Speaker 2: this big job. She's going to do what for them? Exactly?
- 11:14Speaker 2: Sell those units?
- 11:15Speaker 1: Yeah? Is she an interior designer who's going to make
- 11:19Speaker 1: them look nice? Or is she going to handle the
- 11:21Speaker 1: actual sale?
- 11:22Speaker 2: Right?
- 11:22Speaker 1: Correct?
- 11:23Speaker 2: It was a little like what's happening here?
- 11:26Speaker 1: And I did like that.
- 11:27Speaker 2: At the end, she's like, look, are we're ending this
- 11:31Speaker 2: like contract between us? How we get there? I didn't
- 11:35Speaker 2: really love, but let's let's talk about it.
- 11:37Speaker 1: It's two separate skills, though you need to be one
- 11:39Speaker 1: or the other, both are for jobs.
- 11:41Speaker 2: I agree.
- 11:42Speaker 1: Okay, my wish list is so long. Okay, starting with
- 11:48Speaker 1: Abby is not the one who needs to be responsible
- 11:52Speaker 1: for solving this problem for her sister. It is her
- 11:54Speaker 1: brother in law's great grandfather who has left them the home.
- 11:59Speaker 1: Her sister on her as if she owes it to her,
- 12:02Speaker 1: as if it's her responsibility, And is it simply because
- 12:06Speaker 1: she's childless that it becomes her responsibility?
- 12:09Speaker 2: Now? I think it's because she's got dad living with them,
- 12:11Speaker 2: so she's like, you need to help me out here. Okay,
- 12:14Speaker 2: fair enough, two sisters both equally responsible for the care
- 12:18Speaker 2: of their aging parent. Fine, the better alternative is Dad
- 12:22Speaker 2: lives with me. We don't actually have the space. I
- 12:25Speaker 2: understand that you can't help care for him.
- 12:27Speaker 1: Can you help me out financially?
- 12:30Speaker 2: Can you help me sell this home and find us
- 12:32Speaker 2: another home since you're a realtor.
- 12:34Speaker 1: But it's not just sell this home. It's no, no,
- 12:37Speaker 1: this house, no.
- 12:38Speaker 2: At home, the home that they currently live in. That's
- 12:40Speaker 2: just small.
- 12:41Speaker 1: Yes, that's a good point, but saying come here, take
- 12:45Speaker 1: on this job, flip this house while you also have
- 12:48Speaker 1: a full time job. Yeah, that you're doing on the side.
- 12:51Speaker 1: And then BO has the audacity to be annoyed with
- 12:54Speaker 1: her every time she takes a phone call while she's
- 12:56Speaker 1: doing this pro bono will work for her sister?
- 13:00Speaker 3: No?
- 13:00Speaker 1: Yeah, what else I've said it in my first impression.
- 13:03Speaker 1: If BO cannot afford to buy them out, the only
- 13:06Speaker 1: logical solution is to sell. What the hell is wrong
- 13:09Speaker 1: with these people?
- 13:10Speaker 2: He came in so hard that he was entitled to
- 13:12Speaker 2: this property, that they were going to make it a
- 13:15Speaker 2: bed and breakfast, and leaned hard into it.
- 13:18Speaker 1: And I hate that the resolution is that it becomes
- 13:20Speaker 1: a bend. I know he wins, And part of the
- 13:23Speaker 1: reason I hate is, oh, in two to three months.
- 13:26Speaker 1: She says, you could be turning a profit. They could
- 13:29Speaker 1: be what's the drawt of this small town just because
- 13:32Speaker 1: you like living here? Who wants to come visit?
- 13:35Speaker 2: Well, her whole pitch on that property was that they
- 13:39Speaker 2: were going to build this community center and have fairs
- 13:44Speaker 2: and all kinds of stuff that would bring tourists to
- 13:47Speaker 2: their small town. But when just during Christmas time, like
- 13:51Speaker 2: all year long, how's that working out?
- 13:52Speaker 1: It just feels very unfair to her sister, who says
- 13:55Speaker 1: to her, we're living paycheck to paycheck. Yeah, we need
- 13:58Speaker 1: the money from this sale. And I know they solve
- 14:01Speaker 1: the problem of Bo's gonna donate his time and labor
- 14:05Speaker 1: to the addition. Fine, that's one problem. Who's running the
- 14:10Speaker 1: You're hoping who's gonna run the B and B? Nobody
- 14:13Speaker 1: says that. Nobody answers that question. Yeah, she's gonna quit
- 14:17Speaker 1: her job as a realtor and now run a BMB
- 14:19Speaker 1: full time. I guess so they're gonna hire staff with
- 14:22Speaker 1: money that they do not have to invest in it.
- 14:24Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 14:26Speaker 1: The painting scene where they each bring their own paint
- 14:28Speaker 1: colors and then paint them in stripes on the wall.
- 14:31Speaker 1: What the hell is wrong with these people?
- 14:33Speaker 2: Listen? Okay, he really wanted red walls, right because it's
- 14:38Speaker 2: festive two months out of the freaking year.
- 14:41Speaker 1: Yeah, I wrote what about it in March.
- 14:43Speaker 2: Yes, let me tell you a quick story. In our
- 14:46Speaker 2: old home, my husband and I had pre kids. We
- 14:48Speaker 2: had a small little condo. Red was very on trend.
- 14:52Speaker 2: We oh, we had a red bathroom. We tried. We
- 14:55Speaker 2: tried to paint our bathroom read ourselves, working with red
- 14:59Speaker 2: paint color, very difficult. We did the walls, it looked awful.
- 15:04Speaker 1: I said, let's do the ceiling too.
- 15:06Speaker 2: We had a little red cave. I would have to
- 15:09Speaker 2: shut the door because every time I walked by it,
- 15:12Speaker 2: I felt like the devil lives in there. It was
- 15:15Speaker 2: just awful. Then I had to hire a painter to
- 15:18Speaker 2: come fix it. I did not like how they ended
- 15:22Speaker 2: up painting those walls half and half with a chairry out.
- 15:26Speaker 1: Nope, I hated it dated, so dated and red. No,
- 15:30Speaker 1: just she was right, you want a neutral color, neutral wall. Yes.
- 15:35Speaker 2: Can I tell you I absolutely hated that scene when
- 15:39Speaker 2: they're trying to make it playful that they're getting paint
- 15:41Speaker 2: on each other. If some dude came at me with
- 15:45Speaker 2: a paint roller, and I don't know if you noticed,
- 15:47Speaker 2: got her boob.
- 15:48Speaker 1: He got her boob.
- 15:50Speaker 2: That was the first thing. And I was like, are
- 15:53Speaker 2: you kidding?
- 15:54Speaker 1: My clothes are ruined?
- 15:55Speaker 2: Yeah, I was like, what a jerk. He's such a jerk.
- 15:59Speaker 1: They get paint all over this house that they're supposed
- 16:02Speaker 1: to be renovating. That's not cute. Neither a smashing cake
- 16:04Speaker 1: in my face at our wedding. I think I've complained
- 16:06Speaker 1: enough to have anything else.
- 16:07Speaker 2: Yeah, I sure do. This title of this movie has
- 16:10Speaker 2: nothing to do with it. They did not flip shit.
- 16:12Speaker 2: And was this even a Christmas movie?
- 16:15Speaker 1: Have we seen a Christmas movie?
- 16:17Speaker 2: I don't know. And again I'm going to talk about
- 16:19Speaker 2: this later in our next review, but I feel like
- 16:25Speaker 2: Homemark just got these movies and they're like, let's set
- 16:28Speaker 2: it at Christmas time, and that's gonna give us our
- 16:30Speaker 2: forty movies this year.
- 16:31Speaker 1: Yeah, but the movie was already made. It's made and
- 16:34Speaker 1: then sold.
- 16:34Speaker 2: Okay, you're right.
- 16:36Speaker 1: These producers are like, let's take this script, make it Christmas.
- 16:41Speaker 1: We're selling a Christma writers are like, hmm, gotta be Christmas.
- 16:45Speaker 1: Does the here's my script idea. Throw a Christmas tree
- 16:48Speaker 1: in the front yard, right, put a Christmas tree in
- 16:50Speaker 1: this house? Why? Why are you putting a Christmas tree
- 16:55Speaker 1: in a B and B that's not open or a
- 16:56Speaker 1: house that you're going to.
- 16:58Speaker 2: Show what Wally Hi, you fully decorated. He's like, I
- 17:01Speaker 2: worked all night. So you're telling me this dude worked
- 17:04Speaker 2: all night and painted the rest of the interior of
- 17:06Speaker 2: the house all by himself and then decorated it. Where
- 17:10Speaker 2: did you get those Christmas decorations? And why are you
- 17:12Speaker 2: decorating it? Nobody is staying there?
- 17:15Speaker 1: Who's going to go water that tree?
- 17:16Speaker 2: I don't understand. Okay, here's my last wish for and
- 17:20Speaker 2: it is a diversity check. Oh yeah, not a whole
- 17:25Speaker 2: lot of diversity in this movie except for the mayor, yes,
- 17:29Speaker 2: which don't even get me started. A developer is not
- 17:35Speaker 2: paying the mayor for a piece of property. That doesn't work.
- 17:38Speaker 1: Either, and Antonio's assistant. But yes, oh yeah, it's all
- 17:44Speaker 1: side characters. Yes, yes, yes, that's it. Did you see that?
- 17:48Speaker 2: Hold on?
- 17:49Speaker 1: Yeah, in the very beginning, she's on the phone call
- 17:53Speaker 1: on a walking desk. Oh, thank you for reminding me
- 17:58Speaker 1: the day is so low. Thank you.
- 18:00Speaker 2: Thank you for reminding me. It made me wonder have
- 18:03Speaker 2: you used your walking?
- 18:05Speaker 1: I blame the dog. I don't want to talk about it.
- 18:08Speaker 1: But the answer is I have to spend all of
- 18:10Speaker 1: my waking hours downstairs supervising a dog.
- 18:13Speaker 2: Yeah, so you don't get to walk on your but.
- 18:16Speaker 1: I do walk two miles a day every day.
- 18:17Speaker 3: Thank so.
- 18:18Speaker 1: Do I know you do?
- 18:19Speaker 2: Did you notice when they saw the empty property, there's
- 18:24Speaker 2: a sign that says ninety acres for sale. And she goes,
- 18:28Speaker 2: that's gotta be like seventy five acres and he goes,
- 18:31Speaker 2: actually ninety, and I was. It just was funny because
- 18:34Speaker 2: there was a huge sign that said ninety acres.
- 18:37Speaker 1: Speaking of huge signs, when they go chop down the tree,
- 18:39Speaker 1: she goes, I'm going to go return the saw and
- 18:41Speaker 1: she walks by a sign, giant sign that says saws
- 18:45Speaker 1: pointing the opposite direction.
- 18:47Speaker 2: Picture. I took a picture. Thank you so much for
- 18:50Speaker 2: reminding me, because I had forgotten all about it. I
- 18:53Speaker 2: had taken a picture when I was watching it.
- 18:54Speaker 1: That was funny. My last note.
- 18:58Speaker 2: Here is one we talked about in our Girls Gone
- 19:03Speaker 2: Homework Facebook group, and that is would you eat a
- 19:06Speaker 2: hot dog with cranberry sauce on it.
- 19:08Speaker 1: No, and I love cranberry sauce. We made last night
- 19:12Speaker 1: a full Thanksgiving meal in my house. I made cranberry
- 19:15Speaker 1: sauce from scratch. It's not hard, y'all. Anybody can do it.
- 19:18Speaker 1: But no, I would not, And I put cranberry sauce
- 19:20Speaker 1: on all of my Thanksgiving foods.
- 19:22Speaker 2: Yeah, but it just sounds.
- 19:23Speaker 1: Gross on a hot disgusting.
- 19:26Speaker 2: Somebody in our group did comment that they had sausage
- 19:30Speaker 2: with cranberry sauce, and I was like, I could get
- 19:32Speaker 2: down with that, but just like a freaking hot dog
- 19:36Speaker 2: and a bun with cranberry sauce on the top sounds
- 19:38Speaker 2: so gross to me.
- 19:39Speaker 1: No, not everything needs to be a Christmas food.
- 19:42Speaker 2: No.
- 19:42Speaker 1: Speaking of that same scene, there is a like did
- 19:45Speaker 1: you see that moment they're walking with their hot dog
- 19:47Speaker 1: and their hot chocolate again, terrible combination, like awful but
- 19:51Speaker 1: real hot chocolate in those cups. Okay, but she's holding
- 19:54Speaker 1: her cup and in one moment it's overflowing with harashmellow.
- 19:57Speaker 1: She shut hands it to him. There's the marshmallows have
- 19:59Speaker 1: flattened out as the back it's full again.
- 20:01Speaker 2: Yeah, no, I know, I just appreciated that there were
- 20:04Speaker 2: liquid inside the cups.
- 20:05Speaker 1: Yes, and my last to just see that is there
- 20:08Speaker 1: is a balsam hill ad during the commercials in a
- 20:11Speaker 1: movie that has fake tree slander.
- 20:14Speaker 2: Oh.
- 20:14Speaker 1: Also, people that have fake trees are not lacking Christmas spirit.
- 20:20Speaker 1: I'm the Christmas seast bitch. You know.
- 20:23Speaker 2: It's true, says the girl who has Christmas decorations up.
- 20:26Speaker 1: It is November six. None of my decorations are up.
- 20:30Speaker 1: We are prepped to put up our decorations outside fully decorated.
- 20:34Speaker 1: That's because we pay someone to decorate.
- 20:37Speaker 2: They don't put those deers out.
- 20:39Speaker 1: We had to test the connections and we are missing
- 20:42Speaker 1: a cord.
- 20:42Speaker 2: It's all right, You're the biggest Christmas bitch there is.
- 20:45Speaker 1: And we have a fake tree, and you know why
- 20:46Speaker 1: because I can have my tree up a lot longer
- 20:48Speaker 1: than I can have a real tree up.
- 20:50Speaker 2: We also have a fake tree. And I was always
- 20:54Speaker 2: team like real Christmas tree because I love the smell
- 20:57Speaker 2: of it. But Christmas trees, real Christmas trees are expensive, yeah,
- 21:02Speaker 2: and they die quickly, So we invested in a fake
- 21:06Speaker 2: tree buyer.
- 21:06Speaker 1: Hazard buyers have a good candle.
- 21:09Speaker 2: I did just buy me a nice smelling tree candle
- 21:12Speaker 2: so at Target. No, I bought it at the hairsel.
- 21:17Speaker 2: Oh look it's a folly spa candle.
- 21:19Speaker 1: Oh, I love that. I know what you're talking about.
- 21:21Speaker 1: I can't think of what it's called.
- 21:22Speaker 2: Though, but oh, Target has a great dupe for.
- 21:25Speaker 1: That Frasier for the Times candle. Yes they do. Yeah,
- 21:29Speaker 1: listen to a future episode approved for that.
- 21:31Speaker 3: Al Right.
- 21:32Speaker 1: What did you rate Flipping for Christmas?
- 21:33Speaker 2: I gave it two stars.
- 21:34Speaker 1: Oh, I gave it three. Three is a real middle
- 21:36Speaker 1: of the road rating for me. I honestly thought it.
- 21:39Speaker 2: Was gonna be so much worse for me the way
- 21:41Speaker 2: your reaction was to this movie.
- 21:43Speaker 1: I find it totally unpleasant to watch after the first
- 21:46Speaker 1: twenty minutes, once we got past the oh, it's a beat, Oh,
- 21:50Speaker 1: let's flip like once, they were just not really dealing
- 21:52Speaker 1: with that so much. I thought it was an Okay,
- 21:54Speaker 1: it's maybe two and a half three in that realm okay.
