  SPEAKER_00: It is something that we have been in the works for a while now, and it just finally all fell together.

  SPEAKER_00: And it has been absolutely wonderful in the short time that we have been in this space getting everything ready.

  SPEAKER_01: So now uh Brookville Chamber Office is right on Main Street in the old Randy's uh Radio Shack.

  SPEAKER_00: First place was also here, uh the Marlin Opera House.

  SPEAKER_00: This this space has a lot of history.

  SPEAKER_01: So that's gonna get a lot of tourism in there.

  SPEAKER_01: Perfect for the new souvenir shop in your newsletter.

  SPEAKER_00: Yes, so for the chamber, this is the first time that we are taking on a retail space before.

  SPEAKER_00: It's been uh brochures, literature, information events, um, but now we are taking on that Brookville souvenir.

  SPEAKER_00: So local and visitors, everyone, we're hitting a sense of Brookville candle line.

  SPEAKER_00: Uh that is something that I'm extremely passionate and excited about.

  SPEAKER_00: The signature candle is going to be called the heart of Brookville, and then each season we're gonna launch two to kind of coincide with that season.

  SPEAKER_00: Um, for example, the the fall one is going to be called the Shanghai pumpkin roll, and that is one that I'm super excited about, and I know that the locals will as well.

  SPEAKER_01: You know, I gotta tell you, Jamie, you have done such an excellent job at the Brookville Chamber.

  SPEAKER_01: Uh how long have you been there now?

  SPEAKER_01: It's been what, a few years now?

  SPEAKER_00: Um because I've involved with the chamber for several years, even before being the director, I was on the board or just things within the community uh through my previous job and stuff too.

  SPEAKER_00: So I've been involved with the chamber for a very long time.

  SPEAKER_01: Oh my goodness.

  SPEAKER_01: Okay, because I have noticed some big differences, and I know the Brookville community has noticed the difference too that you've made.

  SPEAKER_01: So this new location and these great ideas that you keep coming up with.

  SPEAKER_00: Um no, the new location, it just allows us to better serve the community.

  SPEAKER_00: Um, people are shopping in already, they're asking for uh literature, we're gonna eat things to do, and we have that, and it's just we're right in the center of Main Street and it's a a great spot.

  SPEAKER_01: And you know, it's not just for visitors.

  SPEAKER_01: If you got some hometown pride, stop into the chamber office and grab some Brookville merch.

  SPEAKER_00: We have lots and lots of giveaways, uh giving away free merchandise, giving away discounts, um, we're working with Dan Smith's candies where we have a chocolate box that you can only buy at the chamber.

  SPEAKER_00: We have t-shirts, tote bags, stickers, postcards, so many things.

  SPEAKER_00: Working with local artists to kind of highlight the local talent here.

  SPEAKER_00: We have pottery and phot uh photography, so many things.

  SPEAKER_01: So, how late is the chamber office open today then for the grand opening?

  SPEAKER_00: Today today we are open till three and we are going to be extending our hours on Saturday as well.

  SPEAKER_00: Um, we're here every all week.
