- 0:32Remember, this is all about having fun and enjoying the
- 0:34ride. Welcome to Gunslinger's Tavern.
- 0:40I'm Audrey McHugh. I'm a bisexual open woman that
- 0:44served in the military brown water Navy.
- 0:47Shout out to my Airedales One and three veterans experience
- 0:52military sexual trauma here. We use whiskey for good and talk
- 0:56about all different events that affect veterans and how we can
- 0:59do better to make sure that no one has to release their burden
- 1:03of rape at these gates anymore and ensure that veterans lives
- 1:07are advocated and lived for. Hey guys, it's another wonderful
- 1:15episode of Gunslinger's Tavern. Glad you guys are here.
- 1:20There has been a lot going on in the world today for current
- 1:25events. And so I'm kind of just going to
- 1:27break some things down. I'm sure a lot of you understood
- 1:31that it was Martin Luther King's day to celebrate.
- 1:35A lot of active services happened.
- 1:37People were posted quotes all over the place.
- 1:40And so I actually went to the March of Washington on
- 1:48Washington to celebrate the 60th anniversary of truly something
- 1:55that is awe inspiring for many today.
- 1:58That's why so many people quote from Doctor King.
- 2:01But a lot of people don't understand that his last action
- 2:06was really to try to attack poverty itself.
- 2:10And you're like, well, how can you speak on such a thing?
- 2:13I myself, I lived in poverty before I went to college and
- 2:19worked for the federal government.
- 2:20My mother was wrongfully evicted from her house, and it caused us
- 2:24to be homeless at 10 years old. And I had to live in a homeless
- 2:30shelter at 10 in Elmsford, NY, and then we were transferred to
- 2:34another shelter in Mount Vernon. And this was incredibly damaging
- 2:41and, you know, horrendous for a child to experience.
- 2:44But I I got through it and I made sure that I was the first
- 2:47person directly in my, you know, immediate family to graduate
- 2:53from college, which, you know, that's Penn State.
- 2:56So I'm very, very proud of, of graduating from that.
- 3:00But a lot of people don't understand that poverty is a
- 3:03choice in this country. And what Doctor King was really
- 3:07trying to explain, and I will show you, is that the Poor
- 3:13People's Campaign of 1968, and this is incredibly important
- 3:20work that he was doing. In the last few months, him and
- 3:26Bobby Kennedy got together and they wanted to eliminate poverty
- 3:30in this country. They realized that the
- 3:33Constitution itself was not meant to ever have a class
- 3:38system, that the poor were not supposed to be oppressed, and
- 3:43that since the start of that and not actually understanding that
- 3:49slavery, which was supposed to be abolished, absolutely
- 3:53abolished when the Constitution was ratified.
- 3:56And they chose not to do that because they put property of
- 4:01people and profits over the actual words of the
- 4:06Constitution, which is incredibly, you know,
- 4:10hypocritical when you think about that, what we're trying to
- 4:14say we want to be as a country. So Fast forward.
- 4:18You know, we've the the Civil War was in fact fought over
- 4:24slavery. Nikki Haley apparently doesn't
- 4:27know how to say that word out loud.
- 4:30I actually used to live in the South for over 10 years, and I
- 4:33can tell you that the indoctrination of some of these
- 4:36books was incredible when you were going to school there,
- 4:40because the focus was not on really what was happening, how
- 4:44the Union was attempted to be destroyed.
- 4:47It was gratifying. And trying to say that white
- 4:50supremacy was really an OK thing and justifying it as heritage
- 4:55instead of truly understanding that this was an attempt to
- 4:58destroy democracy as we'd seen it.
- 5:01And if we had actually did the things that we were supposed to
- 5:04do when we ratified the Constitution itself, this avoid,
- 5:08this would have been avoided. These needless deaths would have
- 5:12been prevented and people would have been able to actually enjoy
- 5:18democracy in the Constitution as the true intent of this country
- 5:23over 248 years ago. So why is this so critical
- 5:28today? Because you can see that the
- 5:31rates of poverty in this country continue, that there isn't the
- 5:37biggest economic disparity you have ever experienced in this
- 5:41country at all. So you're like, what do you
- 5:44mean? Well, here you go.
- 5:47So I want you to see that this came from the Patriotic
- 5:51Millionaires. So the world's five richest men
- 5:55have more than doubled their fortunes to 869 billion since
- 6:012020 at a rate of 14,000,000 per hour, while nearly 5 billion
- 6:10people have become poorer. These are the same people that
- 6:16have donated money, have created illegal activities, who have
- 6:21bought out the Supreme Court, who have bought out politicians,
- 6:26who have ensured that instead of the IRS who are supposed to be
- 6:31legislated and getting money from Congress instead of
- 6:36actually being taxed. And them actually paying their
- 6:39fair share in this country and actually giving the money back
- 6:43to the American people as required in the Constitution
- 6:47itself and in law itself. They have decided that they
- 6:52could be corrupt and allow for corruption to spread even into
- 6:57the Supreme Court and buy off our Justices.
- 7:00While they make $14 million per hour and claim that greed
- 7:06inflation, that in the inflation that they have passed down onto
- 7:10people, onto the American people and blame it on President Biden
- 7:15rather than them actually coming forward and saying that they're
- 7:19involved in it. So that way the food that you
- 7:22eat are is actually more expensive for you, but they get
- 7:26richer. They absolutely can pay their
- 7:30fair share to every single American as we do, as we pay for
- 7:35taxes they have refused. The world could have its first
- 7:40trillionaire, but poverty won't be eradicated for another 229
- 7:46years now. Why do you think that poverty is
- 7:51a choice? Because it's profitable to the
- 7:54people at the top 1%. We shown that in Congress, the
- 7:59child tax credit had the lowest rate ever of poverty.
- 8:05We showed that when we actually put money there, we could
- 8:08eradicate poverty if we chose to.
- 8:12Doctor King had the same exact methodology and ideas.
- 8:18He wanted that poverty, the poor, the class that was
- 8:24supposed to never happen in this way for over 248 years.
- 8:29He wanted this eradicated. And you see it time and time
- 8:33again that when people come forward that when they say we
- 8:37can do this, they say no, you can't.
- 8:41And they give you all sorts of reasons why.
- 8:43And they say it's the system, it's not the system.
- 8:46They want you to believe that the system is at fault.
- 8:51They want you to stop believing that you can eradicate poverty.
- 8:55Because if they allow you to think that you can't change
- 8:59anything, then you give up. You accept their system and
- 9:03poverty continues. But we know that this kind of
- 9:06disparity kills people and the people that are making these
- 9:11kind of choices have literally corrupted the Supreme Court
- 9:14itself. They have bought out our
- 9:17justices. And you say what do you mean?
- 9:20And I point to the record. The record is, is that Clarence
- 9:24Thomas, Neil Gorbach that just argued this case have all had
- 9:29these people that are involved in the Chevron case that is
- 9:35before the Supreme Court today gave them money and gifts
- 9:39illegally. They have been trying since they
- 9:43assassinated Doctor King. They assassinated him not
- 9:48because of civil rights, not because of race.
- 9:52They assassinated him because he discovered that poverty was a
- 9:56choice and it was run by them. Why don't you just let that sit
- 10:01in for a moment? They killed Doctor King.
- 10:06Not because of civil rights, not because of race.
- 10:10Yes, he spoke vehemently out against about white supremacy,
- 10:14of course, because these are the same people that are now making
- 10:20poverty a choice and killing millions of Americans while they
- 10:24get richer. And I mean, not only they're
- 10:27getting richer, they're getting richer, $14 million richer per
- 10:36hour. That's inconceivable.
- 10:39What could you do with $14 million?
- 10:43What? What could a state do with $14
- 10:46million? They could help to eradicate a
- 10:49lot of things, social change, arts.
- 10:53We could make sure that the disabled or taken care of.
- 10:56We can ensure that veterans truly get the proper healthcare
- 11:00that they need. However, these men that are
- 11:04involved with this have decided that it is OK for Americans to
- 11:09die and they have infiltrated in every single system.
- 11:14They have made doctors choose between their Hippocratic Oath
- 11:19of do no harm and bowing down to them with healthcare policies
- 11:26for drug regulations and healthcare choices for the poor
- 11:32because so long as there's enough poor people, they can
- 11:35keep feeding off of them. Furthermore, you'll see that a
- 11:41billionaire is running or the principal share of seven out of
- 11:4510 of the world's biggest corporations. 148 top
- 11:50corporations made $1.8 trillion in profits in the year through
- 11:56June 2023, a 52% increase over their average net profits
- 12:02between 2018 and 2021 and gave huge payouts to rich
- 12:09shareholders while hundreds of millions face cuts in real term
- 12:13pay. When Doctor King was murdered
- 12:18shortly after these people that are doing this right now enacted
- 12:24a plan to destroy unions. That was their first step
- 12:28because if they can weaken and crush the unions then they can
- 12:32start attacking rights and putting in these illegal
- 12:36regulations that would cut down your rights as Americans and
- 12:41that is what they have done and they have continued this.
- 12:45This is not 60 years. The the time is now.
- 12:50They are intentionally killing you and making record profits
- 12:55off of it. And when they say those payouts,
- 12:59do you know who those payouts are going to?
- 13:02Justice Clarence Thomas is one of them.
- 13:05They actually paid for his trips.
- 13:08And when they couldn't give the money directly to him because he
- 13:11complained as a Supreme Court Justice that he wasn't making
- 13:15enough money, they made sure they give it to his wife, Ginny,
- 13:18who is an insurrectionist. And yet somehow we came
- 13:25celebrating a great man like Doctor King and understanding
- 13:31that he was killed because poverty is a choice and these
- 13:35people have continued to put profits over people.
- 13:40You're like, well, what else? What else can we talk about?
- 13:44The politics of poverty Well, when we talk about race and
- 13:49gender, all women compared to men, Full time men are making
- 13:55$0.84 on the dollar. All earners 78 Black women
- 14:00compared to non Hispanic white men.
- 14:04Full time $0.69. All earners 66 cents, Latino
- 14:09women compared to non Hispanic men, $0.57, All earners $0.52.
- 14:18So we are simply getting poorer while they are getting richer.
- 14:23They just brought a case before the Supreme Court that literally
- 14:29has 40 years of precedence because they decided after they
- 14:34assassinated Doctor King, assassinated Bobby Kennedy,
- 14:38assassinated Jack Kennedy, that they would do these things to
- 14:43enrich themselves. And they did not care about the
- 14:47American people whatsoever. They met in secret meetings at
- 14:52the Alec meetings where they plotted, plotted how they would
- 14:58destroy democracy and how they would enslave their words, not
- 15:03mine, enslave the poor and working class while they got
- 15:08richer. This has clearly happened.
- 15:12Our Supreme Court has been taken over by these individuals.
- 15:17They were appointed there intentionally and they have been
- 15:20working towards destroying democracy since they
- 15:24assassinated people that were sent here to restore order and
- 15:29democracy. I have to ask you people, as you
- 15:33realize that someone has purposely done this to you,
- 15:38robbed you of your rights, assassinated this man who just
- 15:43wanted to ensure that people who were enslaved already literally
- 15:53got their fair share. And by fair share I mean that
- 15:58these people, the five richest men, actually paid their fair
- 16:04share in taxes and that we, the poor people, got actual
- 16:11healthcare, fair wages, equality under the law, the poor people,
- 16:19there is no race between us. They have allowed economic
- 16:24disparity, then created race wars into our own in being to
- 16:31make sure that we wouldn't rise together and point out their
- 16:36disparity done to us. It is clear, clear that these
- 16:44men can pay their fair share. We have billionaires that are
- 16:51patriotic that are saying this must end.
- 16:55We see what we're what is being done to the American people.
- 16:58We can afford a fair wage. We can afford fair health care,
- 17:04and we have seen that the child Tax credit created the lowest
- 17:09rate of poverty ever. And instead, instead, MAGA
- 17:15Republicans decided that that wasn't good, that they shouldn't
- 17:19fund that even though that they saw legislation that worked that
- 17:25ended poverty. They decided to continue the
- 17:28suffering of Americans because so long as they can create
- 17:32infighting among Americans and not allow people to be truly
- 17:37informed, they can create their version of tyranny.
- 17:40And their version of tyranny is total oppression.
- 17:44And when they don't allow that, I want you guys to remember that
- 17:47the poor people were it's us. These people are making $14
- 17:53million per hour and they are literally now controlling,
- 18:02trying to control Congress because they've bought them out.
- 18:07They've bought them out. I also want you to realize that
- 18:11while you think your congressman is working, when these people
- 18:18were ordered to vote for the 9/11 Act, where these people are
- 18:25valiant, they defended our country in a zero second
- 18:30response time to the towers falling.
- 18:33And again, we had intelligence. We could have prevented that.
- 18:37We could have prevented that tragedy and it was ignored.
- 18:41And instead we had to beg here on Capitol Hill for healthcare
- 18:47for these heroes. Did you know that they only have
- 18:52to be present on the floor for one minute and then they get to
- 18:56leave and their vote as if they were still there for the whole
- 19:00hearing counts? One minute.
- 19:04That's all they have to do to work to earn money as your
- 19:09representative. One minute they left, they left.
- 19:15These Republicans left. Their name is on the record, but
- 19:19they left. They left instead of actually
- 19:22voting to take care of the people that they parade around
- 19:27and post on their social media for 911 and Veteran's Day as if
- 19:32they give a fuck. But they don't because they're
- 19:35part of this corruption ring. You will continue to see that
- 19:40these people are nothing more than corrupt criminals.
- 19:45And while we have elected them, it is time for us to rise
- 19:49against this. To rise against, and say that
- 19:53economic disparity in this country is a choice made by the
- 19:57very elite. And that we deserve better
- 20:00representation. That we demand more.
- 20:03That when our justices are supported and actually appointed
- 20:08to the Supreme Court. That they actually work for the
- 20:11American people and for equality under the law and not for
- 20:16corporations. That they work for us.
- 20:19That they remember their oath to the Constitution, And that the
- 20:23Constitution cannot be bought. I must tell you, it is greatly
- 20:30disturbing to me to know that Doctor King was assassinated for
- 20:35this, for his work, for trying to end the class system that was
- 20:41never supposed to exist in this country greatly.
- 20:46And he stood against this oppression.
- 20:50And I want you to understand that we have to do this now,
- 20:55That democracy truly is at stake, that insurrectionists are
- 21:01trying to take over our country. Truly, you're seeing World War 2
- 21:08play out before you all over again.
- 21:11All over again. My people on October 7th were
- 21:17violently raped, burned, murdered and attacked and
- 21:21captured and put in captivity by terrorists, and you have failed
- 21:26to see the UN and the whole world come out against it.
- 21:31We have allowed terrorist organizations to now be OK with
- 21:36using rape as a means of war. This is a direct war crime and I
- 21:42hear no one saying anything wrong about it except for Jews
- 21:46and others. And I have to say the person
- 21:49that was raped over 10 times in the military.
- 21:52I'm disgusted by the lack of action by the UN.
- 21:56Bring my people home. It has been over 100 days.
- 22:02They are being put in cages, raped and tortured, and there
- 22:10has been no justice. There's been no justice for my
- 22:13people. And as the Jews and Ukrainians
- 22:18are standing against the new evil empire, what are you doing?
- 22:24You are enjoying your everyday life.
- 22:27You must demand better and have accountability for these people.
- 22:34Otherwise you will see the continuation of this war in a
- 22:38way that you have never ever imagined.
- 22:41We must learn the lessons of our past.
- 22:45We must rise against this and end this now.
- 22:48We should never have Supreme Court justices that are corrupt,
- 22:52that do not honor the the Constitution herself.
- 22:56We cannot allow this. But as what Doctor King said,
- 23:04there's always great hope. We all have the ability to unite
- 23:09with each other. We all have the ability within
- 23:13us to vote. To truly vote in this election
- 23:16and save democracy and prevent insurrectionists and tyrants
- 23:21from becoming dictatorships in our country, we must support
- 23:26term limits. In Congress, we must support
- 23:29term limits for Supreme Court justices so that we will not
- 23:33allow corruption like this to ever crawl into our pillars
- 23:38again. But we can do this together.
- 23:42It requires for you to vote. It requires for you to be
- 23:45educated. It requires for you to
- 23:47understand that education, freedom of the press, is the
- 23:50first step in ending tyranny itself, and that the
- 23:54Constitution itself is incredibly important to defend.
- 23:58And that the military has always done that, and we've been doing
- 24:01it for over 248 years. But understand this.
- 24:06They've been killing us relentlessly.
- 24:10I find it a mockery that the Supreme Court that brought it
- 24:14had to use the word relentless in their in their brief, they
- 24:20actually found a corporation with this name.
- 24:24It's so insulting to us, especially the veterans in this
- 24:28country that have been killed by their choices as they continue
- 24:34to kill us each and every day with no care whatsoever.
- 24:39I bring to your attention a VASH voucher program.
- 24:45Last week, a veteran who was known to have mental health
- 24:49issues was granted A VASH voucher down in the South, and
- 24:57he's supposed to be part of this program where they check on him
- 25:01every couple of days. That's required and they didn't,
- 25:07and he killed himself. We have several veterans who are
- 25:12fleeing domestic violence who have been waiting, waiting for a
- 25:16VASH voucher for over six months.
- 25:19When you become homeless, you are 90% likely to kill
- 25:23yourselves, and this program is supposed to be designed to save
- 25:27the lives of veterans again. Our solemn oath and promise to
- 25:32care for veterans and their orphans and their widows
- 25:36continue to be broken each and every day.
- 25:41This is how veterans are being treated in this country.
- 25:44We are being treated like weapons of tools for war and
- 25:48then thrown away and discarded. And some of us are still here,
- 25:53fighting every single day, fighting the effects of PTSD so
- 25:57that we can bring our brothers and sisters back home with us
- 26:00and give them fulfilling lives. But understand this.
- 26:04We are the ones that defend you. We are the ones to ensure your
- 26:08freedom. We are the ones that have the
- 26:11nightmares so that you don't. We are the ones that have
- 26:15watched our friends die. We are those people.
- 26:20We are the true defenders of the Constitution.
- 26:24This country cannot function without us.
- 26:28So as we try to fight for our health care right now to ensure
- 26:34that we can the battle through PTSD and the effects of war, we
- 26:39are still rallying here to show you what is going on in the
- 26:43Supreme Court. We are still here to show you
- 26:48what that is going on in the corruption that has affected
- 26:52every pillar of our society. And we are shouting it from the
- 26:56rooftops because we want you to be motivated to vote.
- 27:00We want you to help us save your democracy.
- 27:02Together we can truly do this. Together we can eliminate
- 27:10poverty in this country. We can eliminate the class
- 27:14system in this country that was written out of the Constitution.
- 27:21We can rise together and truly have the vision of what America
- 27:25is supposed to be so that we can prosper and make sure that this
- 27:30goes all over the world. True democracy.
- 27:34It is a beautiful thing that we have.
- 27:36It is sacred. It's wonderful.
- 27:40However, the corrupt politicians and these billionaires that are
- 27:47trying to become trillionaires must be stopped.
- 27:51And I want you to know there's more of us than there are of
- 27:54them, and we can do this together.
- 27:58Truly, we can do this together. So become informed.
- 28:03Maybe. I don't know.
- 28:04Read pro republica Daily Coast, NPR.
- 28:09And you will start to see, start to truly see that poverty is a
- 28:15choice. Doctor King was assassinated
- 28:19because he wanted universal healthcare.
- 28:24He wanted a wage that was fair and equitable for all Americans.
- 28:30And we can do these things. We will have the continuation
- 28:34on. It is up to all of us now, as
- 28:37you become informed, to truly pick up the flag and keep
- 28:42marching forward. That is what Doctor King's
- 28:45vision must be, That we see what happened to him and make the
- 28:51choice to continue his name and legacy on.
- 28:56That is what I will do. And I ask that you join me and
- 29:01ensure that you vote today, vote every day, vote for America,
- 29:06vote for yourself, vote for the Constitution, vote for
- 29:09democracy, and understand that it is critical for you to get
- 29:14registered to vote. And I will be voting for Biden.
- 29:18Of course I will be voting to turn this blue.
- 29:21But if you don't agree with me and you want to agree with
- 29:23somebody that is a convicted rapist, that is a fraud, that is
- 29:29one of the biggest losers and frauds there's ever been, that
- 29:34believes that he will be a dictator on day one, That calls
- 29:39for the assassination of generals, that makes mockery of
- 29:45veterans who have been amputees and refuses to even want them to
- 29:51be around. I will respect your voice so
- 29:55long as you vote. But understand a vote for him is
- 29:59not a vote for democracy. A vote for him is a vote for
- 30:03tyranny. A vote for him is a vote for a
- 30:06person that would love to incorporate the words of Hitler.
- 30:11And that right there means never again.
- 30:15And we must be unified in order to actually see the work of
