- 2:02I know you were texting me last night. You're like, ooh,
- 2:05this one was Julie, it was Jessey. I was watching it late last
- 2:07night eating mus snacks. I'm like, oh, we got allowed to talk
- 2:10about from this episode. Well, let's talk about major takeaways after you watched
- 2:15the episode, I'm sure two or three times like I did. Like,
- 2:19what are some of your lingering thoughts about the Plaths and Olivia? A lot
- 2:23of drama, there's drama with Olivia, there's drama with Mariah, Yes,
- 2:27drama with Kim and her hoe phase. I'm just like, Wow, there's
- 2:30some things going on, and Micah is based. Yes, he is with
- 2:36it. He is analyzing everybody in this family, especially his mom. I'm
- 2:39like, I'm loving it. Yeah, he's so mellow and neutral, Like
- 2:45he clearly has an opinion about Olivia. Yeah, but he's not pushy with
- 2:49it. He's not punitive with it. He just kind of hangs back and
- 2:52lets Ethan do the talking, yeah, and then just makes little comments.
- 2:55I really really liked Mica in this episode too. My major take way is
- 3:00that I think what we are observing as Raccoons is a narcissistic injury in progress.
- 3:07So like a narcissistic injury is when a narcissist is offended, their self
- 3:13worth is challenged, they feel abandoned and or rejected. And I think Olivia
- 3:19reaching out to Micah to try and have that one on one meeting was like
- 3:23a really important overture for her in terms of like how she felt about her
- 3:29power within the relationship and within the family. And I think it was like
- 3:34she was hoping that he would say yes and accept her. Yeah, And
- 3:38so then when he doesn't, he's like, nah, I just want to
- 3:40keep it light. I just want to go to the bar. I don't
- 3:43want to have like an argument on my only day in Minnesota. Thanks,
- 3:47but no, thanks. Ooh, I think it really good. Really hurt
- 3:52her. Oh totally. She is triggered. She's really triggered. Yeah,
- 3:57and she's trying to use all of her therapy speak to pretend that it's not
- 4:00an injury, but it is. And I really think that this is the
- 4:04catalyst to everything finally falling all apart. I felt the same way. Yep,
- 4:10yep, especially at the end when she's talking to Lydia Grayce. I'm
- 4:13like, Oh, she's ready to go. But I think Ethan's ready to
- 4:16go too. He's over it. When we see the previews for next week
- 4:19and they're having the conversation at the island, I'm just like, he already
- 4:24knows it's done. Zo. Yes, I can't wait to get to that.
- 4:28Yes, me too. Okay, let's start. Welcome to Platville season
- 4:31five, episode eleven, entitled The Wheel is Come Full Circle has come full
- 4:39Circle? The Wheel is come. I don't know Howney Shakespeare's twenty three.
- 4:45We don't know how to speak Old English. We start with Ethan and Micah.
- 4:50They have arrived in Nashville, They've spent the night, they're gonna get
- 4:54back on the road again, and they have a conversation about the divorce.
- 5:00Yeah, so, what are some of your thoughts here? I thought it
- 5:02was interesting how they both don't agree with their mom dating while she is still
- 5:10technically married. They're not legally divorced, they are just separated, and so
- 5:14they both have very strong convictions with that. And this is where Micah starts
- 5:19talking about Kim's daddy issues. Yeah, and I thought this was so awesome
- 5:24that he just like pegged his mom, like, she didn't grow up with
- 5:28a father figure. She grew up in a very broken home. And he's
- 5:30like, even though it's kind of normal nowadays for people to have broken homes
- 5:33and single parrots and stuff, he doesn't think it's a good thing because of
- 5:39how his mother is acting right now and how she has daddy issues. And
- 5:43she probably feels abandoned so she searches for it with other men. But why
- 5:47wasn't she searching for the attention from other men for the first twenty five years
- 5:51of her marriage. She seemed content to have the attention from Barry and have
- 5:56the structure of her family, but something must have shifted and changed for her
- 6:00to all of a sudden need the attention of another man. Yeah, I
- 6:02don't understand. I don't understand it either. It's like something happened. Yeah.
- 6:06I think Olivia says in this episode, like a flip has been switched
- 6:11in her relationship, but it's almost like a flip has been switched with Kim.
- 6:15Yes, and she's chucked it all. And I think Ethan is really
- 6:18judgmental of his mother. I think in this moment he's trying to say,
- 6:21well, I don't approve, but I'm not going to get into it because
- 6:25there's nothing that I can say that'll change anything, and also nothing's going to
- 6:30change the course of action. However, he's really resentful that his mom is
- 6:35making all of these kinds of choices and decisions that will have lifelong impacts on
- 6:42his little sisters. Yes, and she doesn't even seem to really be thinking
- 6:45about it. Yes, I'm so glad they brought this up, because this
- 6:47is what we've been saying for the last several weeks, that Kim is just
- 6:51acting very immature, and she doesn't give a shit about how any of her
- 6:55kids feel, especially the littles. And I think it was Mica that was
- 6:59like saying that this is the kid, the little kids's most formative years and
- 7:03that this is really damaging to them. And so they're just trying their best
- 7:06as older siblings to be there for them as much as possible. And I'm
- 7:11like, that's awesome, It is awesome. I'm glad they're growing up a
- 7:14little bit in this way, yes, and they're looking for ways that they
- 7:16can kind of fill in or stand in the gap and be there for their
- 7:19younger siblings. They also bring up Barry and they talk about Barry has essentially
- 7:25been doing everything right compared to Kim at the very least, like he's not
- 7:30drinking alcohol, which I thought was interesting. And I'm wondering has the duy
- 7:33taken place? It has right, because the DUI took place like she was
- 7:38pulled over summer of twenty twenty two, and I'm talking about Kim Plath,
- 7:42Yeah, and then I think they finally arrested her fall of twenty twenty two.
- 7:47So I think the footage we're watching when they're driving up to Minnesota and
- 7:50it's obviously winter. This is well past Kim having been arrested. Yeah,
- 7:56so TLC is intentionally keeping the information off, which is kind of lame because
- 8:01we all know what happened, or I would love to know more context about
- 8:05it, but oh well, we're not going to find out. But I
- 8:07think Ethan is kind of passively aggressively calling his mom out for the drinking.
- 8:13I love to see it well, because for twenty five years you said drinking
- 8:16is bad, sugar is bad, television is bad, yeavies are bad,
- 8:20born is bad, women are bad, Olivia is bad, and now all
- 8:22of a sudden, you're out here just slang in the poon girl crazy your
- 8:28box. Eight. Yes. Micah asks at the end of this particular segment
- 8:33whether Olivia knows that he's coming, and Ethan kind of equivocates. He says
- 8:39yes, and he thinks she's cool with it. But in reality, Ethan
- 8:43hasn't told Olivia that Mike's coming. He doesn't even know if he's going to
- 8:48take Migah to the apartment. He hasn't told Mike God that Olivia's pissed it
- 8:52him. He hasn't told anybody anything he's just hoping to show up in Minnesota
- 8:56and have everything be okay. This is so bad Ethan, classic Ethan,
- 9:01so freaking bad, just because you're so conflict averse and you can't just be
- 9:05honest with your brother. I mean, your brother will probably take it well,
- 9:07but I'm like, Jesus, this is so bad. You can't just
- 9:11like pretend like everything's fine and then hope that it'll work out for the best.
- 9:15Like you know, this is gonna cause issues. You're literally setting up
- 9:18your brother for like a bad situation, and not for nothing. You're also
- 9:22setting up Olivia yep, who sounds like she'd like to be talking to you
- 9:26throughout this particular trip, but you're not making contact with her. So she
- 9:31wants to know what Mike is gonna do. Is you're gonna come to the
- 9:33apartment where you guys gonna be and you're not communicating with her. So he's
- 9:37just once again an emotional and communicative gripple, yep, And he's doing nothing
- 9:43to better himself in a situation where he could probably do a lot to smooth
- 9:48it over. Oh yeah, for sure. And I have been kind of
- 9:50pro Ethan for a lot of this podcast because I feel for him, But
- 9:54this episode was an episode where I'm like, Okay, Ethan, I can't
- 9:58stand that this is how you live your life and how you conduct your relationships
- 10:01with people like you are so emotionless and avoidant and you don't deal well with
- 10:09conflict, And I'm like, this is really bad, a recipe for a
- 10:11disaster with all of your relationships. And your family understands you and understands this
- 10:16aspect of you, so they just deal with it. But other people like
- 10:20Olivia, they're they're never going to be okay with it. And He's just
- 10:24going along with it because it works for him. Because it works for him,
- 10:28that's end. It keeps him as comfortable as possible as he can be
- 10:33in any given situation. But like, this is really not going to work
- 10:37long term, not with employers, not with future friendships, not with future
- 10:41relationships. You're going to have to learn how to open your gadga Google mouth
- 10:46and say your big boy words in order to solve conflict. Right, the
- 10:50rest of us are out here doing it. We can It's possible, eat
- 10:52that. Jesus, Mary and Joseph all right after this, we bop on
- 10:56over to Tampa, Florida, We're back in Mariah's loft. Barry is in
- 11:00town one day before her ballroom dancing exhibition, and they're having kind of a
- 11:05nice daddy daughter moment. Yeah, she's making him hot chocolate, but you
- 11:09know she's forgetting the chocolate. It's Mariah. And the subject of Ethan comes
- 11:16up. Yeah, so Barry mentions that Ethan was in town, what a
- 11:20few days ago prior to this or something, So I don't know when this
- 11:24was filmed, but he mentions that Ethan was up in town and it was
- 11:26nice to see him, but that Mariah was not there. And then Mariah
- 11:30kind of talks about how she wishes things could be different because she doesn't want
- 11:33to regret anything, doesn't want to regret not being in his life and not
- 11:37being close, but doesn't really know how to bridge this gap between them.
- 11:41Right. I thought this was a great conversation. I thought Barry could have
- 11:46inserted a lot of opinions about what happened to him personally with Olivia and with
- 11:54Ethan and with what he called like a season of conflict that he had with
- 11:58them. Yeah, but he didn't. He really just kind of held space
- 12:00from Mariah to wine and be depressed and to wonder what her Christian duty is
- 12:05in terms of her brother, because it's something God forbid happened to Ethan or
- 12:09what if he needed me and I just wasn't there. So she's moved by
- 12:13what she possibly wouldn't be able to give Ethan, but she's not really moved
- 12:18by her bad behavior that contributed right to the breakdown of the relationship. Yes,
- 12:24and I think this was when she also mentions her text message to him,
- 12:28and she says that I probably shouldn't have just opened up with oh,
- 12:33I forgive you and not give him any context, because that just opened up
- 12:35a can of worms, like I should have maybe said something different, I
- 12:39should have just said hi, Yeah, exactly. So I was glad to
- 12:43at least see some acknowledgment there from her and some self awareness, like she's
- 12:48becoming sentient. She is a twenty year old dumb dumb, you know,
- 12:52and she comes from an emotionally crippled family that doesn't know how to communicate at
- 12:56all. So I'm glad to see that. I'm like, oh, you're
- 13:00so dramatic. She's really dramatic, And Ethan a couple of times in this
- 13:03episode calls her over dramatic and also dishonest with the way that she is handling
- 13:09the situation with she Ethan and Olivia. But nonetheless, Mariah also says that,
- 13:15you know, she thinks that her relationship with Ethan is fixable again.
- 13:18She would want to be there for him. God forbid if something happened to
- 13:22Ethan like what happened with Joshua, she would hate herself. Yeah, if
- 13:26she hadn't done something to mend this relationship. And then she segues over into
- 13:31discussion about Olivia and she's like, it's different with Olivia though, Yeah,
- 13:33there's way more damage there. Hey, fuck that bitch, right, And
- 13:37she's not willing. It doesn't seem she's willing at all. And Mike's not
- 13:39willing either. I wouldn't to try to mend these fences. Yeah, there
- 13:43would be over it well, because it doesn't seem like there is any room
- 13:46to mend anything with Olivia. It seems like Olivia just wants them to say
- 13:50sorry and for her to just be like, okay, cool, then we're
- 13:54good now, Like, just apologize to me. I've done nothing wrong to
- 13:56you too, I've been nothing but gracious to both of you. Does that
- 14:01remind you of anybody, crybrows Robin Brown. Yes, yeah, all you
- 14:03have to do is pledge your fealty and kiss my ring and you can come
- 14:09back into the mcmachin and into the orderhouse and you could see my Dickenzie and
- 14:11Valade. I've been building it up for years, for real. But yeah,
- 14:16that's what Olivia wants. She says that she wants to have an adult
- 14:20conversation, but what she really wants is to be absolutely seen and heard while
- 14:24not seeing and hearing anybody else's side of the argument. I could be biased.
- 14:28I we don't like her. I could be biased. At the end
- 14:31of this segment, we have Mariah wondering if she should suggest that she and
- 14:37Ethan just spend some time together doing something fun, Like, we don't have
- 14:41to process the entire thing all at once. Maybe we can just handle it
- 14:46step by step, a little by little, until ultimately we get over it.
- 14:50Yeah. Although this doesn't necessarily happen in this episode, No, not
- 14:54at all. No, and Barry encourages her, Yeah, to do something
- 14:58like that. But a decent dad Kirie to me, how none of them
- 15:01just want to tackle issues. I know, they just want to avoid it.
- 15:03They have rugsweep for real. They just want to like have a good
- 15:07time. Can't we just be a family? And then underneath all of that
- 15:11is just this toxic sludge of dysfunction that they don't want to acknowledge. It's
- 15:15so bad. That's how my family operates. Oh, we do not handle
- 15:18conflict or deal with anything. Like everybody in the family will have problems with
- 15:22each other and we'll talk shit about each other, similar to how the plaths
- 15:26handle things, but they don't actually confront each other. We don't actually deal
- 15:31with anything. He don't really. Yeah, I was really the only one
- 15:35of my family that would actually bring up feelings that I felt because I'm the
- 15:37only fire sign in the family and I can't just hold it all in.
- 15:43But everybody else was like totally conflict averse. That's very interesting. So when
- 15:48you first started asserting yourself and opening your throat shock with babes, So what
- 15:52did your family do, Like, how did they even handle that? Well,
- 15:54that depends on what family member I was bringing that up to, because
- 15:58some were not very happy with that, and I would get yelled at or
- 16:04really cooled or whatever. But you know, that's just how it is.
- 16:07Some people can't deal with hard emotions, especially when it means that they are
- 16:12at fault for something right that they may not think that they're at fault for.
- 16:15So it damages their ego and it becomes this whole big old thing.
- 16:18And it just seems like with the Plaths, they want to focus on their
- 16:22family and their love and everything instead of all of the drama. Which I
- 16:26can understand that to an extent, but when you have these bigger issues like
- 16:29with Kim and with Olivia and with between Ethan and Mariah, like you can't
- 16:33just sweep that shit under the rug. That's going to cause bitterness and resentment,
- 16:37which is just going to make everything way worse. Well, let me
- 16:41first share something and then ask you a question. I remember listening to this
- 16:45podcast once and they were talking about empaths, and of course Robin Brown is
- 16:48an EmPATH. Did you know that she's an empathy? But like, it's
- 16:52the empaths in the family who feel things really, really deeply, And when
- 16:56you have dysfunctional toxic facts, there's usually like one empathic person in that family
- 17:03who's just all day twenty four to seven processing the dysfunction of the family,
- 17:07and they're probably doing it without resources. They don't even know that they are
- 17:11an EmPATH, and so they're overwhelmed, they're depressed, they're totally anxious,
- 17:15and they are ultimately regarded in the family as a kind of a black sheep
- 17:19or somebody who just doesn't fit in with the rest because they're busy over there
- 17:22processing all of your weird fucking energy in this family. And so I was
- 17:26wondering, in the context of the Plaths, whether you think we have like
- 17:32a little mpath there that's processing the energy. I mean, by definition,
- 17:37it probably would be Mariah, because she has been kind of the black sheep,
- 17:41and she's regarded as over dramatic for having feelings, and well, she
- 17:45is dramatic in some instances, in some scenarios, yes, but I do
- 17:49think some of her emotions are warranted, and she just doesn't really know how
- 17:53to communicate them properly or express them in a healthy way, so she just
- 18:00blows up or says stupid shit and acts like a dummy. But we've also
- 18:03talked about Ethan being a shadow impass where he feels everything but doesn't know how
- 18:08to even process that at all, so it's just bottled up inside him and
- 18:12he just works on cars all day, right, So that's kind of my
- 18:15thing. Maybe it's between Ethan and Olivia maybe Mariah. And that's interesting too
- 18:19when you think about Mariah because her biggest instinct growing up was to get the
- 18:25fuck out of here, right, Like, I don't want to have to
- 18:26sit with all of this energy and all of our problems and all of our
- 18:30patterns in this family. I just want to leave and move in with my
- 18:33grandma and my grandpa. Yeah. I just want to be a rebel,
- 18:34forgiven rebel, and I want to be in my own loft with my dog.
- 18:40What was his name, Jack's where's your dog something? I don't know.
- 18:45Where is the dog? She says he's in training, But he's in
- 18:47training for months. Some people do that. I know people in the way
- 18:49for months. I feel like she rehomed the dog. That's mean. Well,
- 18:55I mean yeah, that's sad. Okay, back to the show.
- 19:00The next scene, we are in Jacksonville, Florida, reminding me of Limp
- 19:03Biscuit. I'm a rednick fuck from Jacksonville. Yeses, And we have Mariah
- 19:10with her ballroom dancing. She's in a bright yellow dress and I cannot stand
- 19:15the color of her hair. Doesn't she see that it washes out her complexion.
- 19:19I mean it's like this ashy white, bright, silvery color. And
- 19:25then she's got that dark, dark lipstick. They were showing some pictures from
- 19:29the past in this episode when she's with her brothers and she's got like natural
- 19:33hair or darker blonde hair, and she's stunning beautiful. I know, I
- 19:37really do not like the color of her hair. I didn't like that dress
- 19:40that she was in, ey neither. What is that? I mean ballroom
- 19:44dancing, you have skimpy, flashy, sparkly dresses. But it was but
- 19:49she's having fun. She's a fash niece though, and her whole family showed
- 19:53up for her, which I thought was awesome. Of yes, of course,
- 19:56sans Micah and Ethan. But you've got Kim there. It's so pretty
- 20:00and sexy on he she's got a newly live somebody's etting the back, so
- 20:06she's happy in her mini skirt. You've got Barry who actually looks a little
- 20:10studley. He does with his shirt that's fitting just so around all his checks,
- 20:15his gossips and stuff, showing off to Cam being like, this is
- 20:18what you missing, baby, That's right? With his like chain that he's
- 20:21what do those kids call it, the drip the riz. He's got some
- 20:23ricks sitting there stewing because he can't stand his stank ass hoe ass wife who's
- 20:32sitting right next to him. And then we've got Isaac, and then we've
- 20:34got the girls. And Mariah is so happy, and she does make a
- 20:38point to say, like, I'm really grateful that my parents haven't dragged all
- 20:44of the kids into their personal nonsense, not yet, and that it's coming.
- 20:48Yeah, and that they have the ability to kind of just be in
- 20:51the same room and support their kids. That's awesome. Yeah, it's really
- 20:53great. I was looking at this, I'm like, well, this seems
- 20:56sweet on the outside, right, I feel like there's go and to have
- 21:00the bitterness is going to seep through Barry and Kim, whether they like it
- 21:03or not, and it all start affecting their kids. Because I feel like
- 21:07that happens in almost every divorce scenario between parents with kids. I feel like
- 21:11the parents always try at the beginning to kill parent and to be healthy,
- 21:17roban to be They don't always try from me, but yeah, well your
- 21:22ex husband did not want to do shit. He didn't even be around you.
- 21:26Noing that even resembled me, which my daughter, your wife totally resembles
- 21:33me. Yes, So he had a hard time being around her. He
- 21:37literally like fell off the face of the earth. He did. It was
- 21:40wild, Like my whole family, like my brother who really liked him,
- 21:44yeah, and felt pretty close to him, like all of a sudden,
- 21:45never heard from him again, and he's like, I can't believe he's just
- 21:49gone. So I just say all of that to say that not every parent
- 21:52is willing to co parent. No. I mean my parents tried for like
- 21:56the first year or something to be really good and to spend time with us
- 22:02kids, and then it just totally changed because bitterness comes up and then you
- 22:07do something to piss off the other spouse and everything, and then it trickles
- 22:11down to the kids and it's just like always going to be a mess.
- 22:12So I'm waiting when we see that preview with kim Il pissed me off so
- 22:18bad, we are going to get her. Why have some things to say
- 22:21when I played Devil's Advocate, They're just why does the devil need to know?
- 22:25I know, I get you to pop up. We have a couple
- 22:27of interesting statements Barry says that he is happy that he's able to kind of
- 22:33put aside his issues so that he can be there with Kim and his kids
- 22:37for Mariah, But at the same time, he certainly doesn't condone what she's
- 22:44doing, and in specific, he doesn't condone that she's dating Ken Palmer again
- 22:48while they are still married. And then I think the producers ask him,
- 22:52like what does he think about that? And he's like, well, that's
- 22:56her personal personal life and I'm not a part of that. So next question,
- 22:59I'm like, Oh, I wish he would spill the tea. But
- 23:02he's being mature right now and trying not to talk shit about her because that's
- 23:07still the mother of his children and he knows that this is national TV mm
- 23:10hmm, and he doesn't want to say anything damaging, but you know,
- 23:14he wants to. Yeah, I think he's really angry, and I'm wondering
- 23:17what the end result of this anger is, Like does he become a serial
- 23:19killer, does he become a peeping tom? Is he going to counseling or
- 23:22is he just going to like Christian counseling or just working out open the Bible
- 23:26bingo and see if there's a scripture that can help you to appeal from your
- 23:30wife of twenty five years leaving you to fuck another man, right, Like,
- 23:33is he getting any analysis in therapeutics or is he just sitting there stewing
- 23:37as he's working out building his testosterone getting angrier and angrier. I'm worried about
- 23:42it a little bit. No, it's a little concerning, but he's keeping
- 23:45it together. And then you have Kim. All she can talk about all
- 23:48season long is I'm dating somebody. Do you know that they've been dating somebody?
- 23:55Did you hear from your scisters? You've already heard of, haven't you
- 23:56that I'm dating somebody? And it's not too soon? And I don't think
- 24:00I think it's fine, which is what she kind of says in this section.
- 24:03She's like, Yeah, well, we've been separated for one year and
- 24:07it's never too early to be happy behind me and I'm happy I'm dating,
- 24:11and I'm just like, I know he's upset about it, but he can
- 24:15eat me, eat this box, eat the bos. I don't care.
- 24:18I'm gonna do what I want to do. And even Ethan and Micah say
- 24:21she's gonna do what she wants to do. Yep, Because even though all
- 24:26of the kids, it seems like, disagree with her decision to date another
- 24:30man, She's still doing it. She don't give no fucks at all about
- 24:33what any of the other kids say. And Lydia in this scene is like,
- 24:36I don't condone it at all because my mother taught me different. But
- 24:41I love her and I'm being a good Christian girl, and I will still
- 24:44be around my mom. I'm gonna disagree even though I don't support her choices.
- 24:48She's a ticking time. She is well, I well, I'm like
- 24:53again. Lydia has two roads before her. She has the continuation of her
- 24:57Christian journey Jesus is lo. She finds herself a Christian boy, she gets
- 25:02married like Hozanna did, They have a bunch of babies, and she tours
- 25:04the world or the nation or Georgia singing in churches. Or she becomes a
- 25:11straight up promiscuous girl. Yeah, who is out here living her life,
- 25:17having worldly experiences, secular experiences, and who chucks her face entirely because she
- 25:22saw her mother do it first. Oh God, I'm worried about that.
- 25:26If she marries a Christian guy, though, that's another path that she can
- 25:29go down where she could end up like her mom in right twenty years and
- 25:33eating a lot of sugar. Yeah, leaving her husband's drinking the booze in
- 25:37the barn. Yikes. This particular segment ends with a picture for Mariah.
- 25:42Yeah, so Mariah wants a picture after she dances with her whole family,
- 25:47and you hear the photographers say to Mariah, get in the center of the
- 25:52photo, and then you see Kim angle her body to the center of the
- 25:56photo, and ultimately the photo that we see is Kim smack dab in the
- 26:00center of the photo with the Mariah shit due to the side. I'm like,
- 26:06absolute narc stuff my text. I'm like, come on, lady,
- 26:08I know this isn't about you. This is about Mariah. It's not about
- 26:12your mini skirt, honey. And she looks so hot. She's like,
- 26:17I'm living vicariously through Mariah right now. It's so great because she's a ballet
- 26:21dancer. Remember do you know that Mariah's my daughter? I mean, you
- 26:23probably thought she was my sister. But we're both in this picture and I'm
- 26:27in the center. Yi big yikes. After this, we get back into
- 26:33that U haul truck with Micah and Ethan, and Micah asks whether Ethan has
- 26:41told Olivia that they're coming in and what's going to happen, and he says
- 26:45no. He equivocates again on the couch. Ethan says that he doesn't know
- 26:49how to tell Micah that Olivia doesn't want him there. He then asks Micah
- 26:53if he told him already. This was so weird to me, He asks
- 26:56Micah, did I tell you yet that Olivia isn't thrilled you're coming? I
- 27:02mean you're in Minnesota by this time, we're seeing snow on the ground.
- 27:06Yeah, it's been I don't know two three days that you've been traveling with
- 27:07your brother, and so right before you get to the apartment complex, you're
- 27:11like, oh, by the way, did I tell you that Olivia doesn't
- 27:14want to see you and you're not allowed in my house at all? No?
- 27:18Did I forget though, I have missed that, Ethan. You're so
- 27:22freaking stupid dude, Like he literally waited to the last minute to do that
- 27:26because he was so nervous and didn't want to have to deal with this at
- 27:30all. He would rather not deal with any human emotion from anybody ever in
- 27:34his life, because it just makes him uncomfortable. Yeah, and Mike has
- 27:40just like taken aback. He's like, uh, no, you didn't tell
- 27:42me that. And I wish I might not have come with you if I
- 27:47knew that your wife at the end of this trip he had a real big
- 27:49problem with me. It might not have been the time for me to travel
- 27:52here, right, Sure, But he doesn't say that. He's just like
- 27:55no. But then he's like, yeah, but it's cool. I don't
- 27:56need to see her. Actually I don't care. And he's like, but
- 28:00will it make it harder for you, Ethan if I'm here? That was
- 28:03big. There's a couple of times he asked. He checked in with Ethan
- 28:06and he's like, is my inability to go and see your wife in a
- 28:08one on one because I hate her guts going to cause problems in your marriage?
- 28:12Because I don't want that. I want to preserve whatever it is that
- 28:15I can preserve so that we can have a relationship. Yes, And this
- 28:19is why we don't like Olivia and why she's toxic af because if Micah is
- 28:25picking up on the fact that his dislike of her or her issues with Micah
- 28:30and Mariah is going to affect Ethan and hers relationship that's toxic and for her
- 28:36to like always dictate whether Ethan can actually have a relationship with his family or
- 28:41not his toxic as fuck. And Olivia says, we'll get to it.
- 28:45Okay, we'll get to it. I sure don't forget to get to it.
- 28:48I won't. I won't. Okay, we'll get to it. Micah
- 28:52tells Ethan that he respects Olivia as his wife, but he just has a
- 28:56fundamental issue with her trashing the and it's something that's bothering him and it's going
- 29:03to continue to bother him. But again, he wants to preserve the relationship
- 29:07with Ethan, And this is where we have Ethan saying that before he left
- 29:11on the road trip, he actually told Olivia that he's done a lot to
- 29:17support her, to the detriment and to the neglect of his family, like
- 29:21I have gone above and beyond to take care of you, make you feel
- 29:25heard, make you feel safe, make you feel protected, to the detriment
- 29:30of like my little siblings, the family that I love, the people that
- 29:33I grew up with and want to be around. Ye. So before this
- 29:37trip, they're already having Olivia and Ethan some in depth conversations about how he
- 29:42ain't happy with the way she's conducting herself. And I assume she's not happy
- 29:47with the way he's conducting himself. Of course not, but she's never happy
- 29:51with anything Ethan does because anything he does is wrong and bad for her.
- 29:55And they're marriage, right, But I thought that was huge. Yes,
- 29:59he came to that realism, and this is probably why he they end up
- 30:03breaking up because he's realizing, Wow, like, my relationships with my family
- 30:07have suffered because I've been just accommodating you. And Yoho asked this whole entire
- 30:12time, which is it's never enough, like enough, There's not enough that
- 30:15I can do to make you feel okay with me having a family. I
- 30:19can't change that, and I want to have a family. And she even
- 30:22says in this episode like, look, Ethan is entitled to be around the
- 30:26kind of people that he wants to be around and to love his family,
- 30:29but if it hurts me, you know, like, but when it hurts
- 30:33me, I expect him to be there for me, essentially, And this
- 30:34is what I was gonna say earlier. This like her saying that is such
- 30:38bullshit because by your actions of this whole entire fucking show, and probably before
- 30:44this, before we even got on TLC. You've been fucking with his relationships
- 30:48with the family. So don't sit there and say you don't care about his
- 30:52relation hit whoever he has relationships with, You care very much. You care,
- 30:56very very much. And you have a problem. You had a problem
- 30:57with him going to Kroo itself and seeing Micah. You didn't want him to
- 31:03see Mica and hang out with somebody who's disrespecting your marriage and talking about your
- 31:07marriage. And I dare say she probably made it really hard for him to
- 31:11go on this trip to Caro, made him feel really bad for leaving her
- 31:14there, even though she had just been on a trip to Saint Lucia.
- 31:17Yeah, and it has not been established whetherr that was for work or for
- 31:19pleasure. And if she was there for pleasure, who was she there with
- 31:22girls? Exactly? That's what I want to know. This is when Micah
- 31:26gets a call and it is Mariah. She is calling because she knows that
- 31:32Micah and Ethan are traveling on the road together and it feels like she wants
- 31:36to take this time to address the elephant in the room. Seems a little
- 31:41weird and talk about the problems. So what did you think about the conversation
- 31:45that Mariah ends up having with Ethan. This whole conversation was frustrating for me
- 31:51as a sibling and as an older sibling, because Mariah is like trying to
- 31:56talk to Ethan, but she's also interrupting him. She's letting him off,
- 32:00She's getting kind of reactive and not necessarily saying sorry. She's saying sorry,
- 32:06but then trying to justify her actions. She'll acknowledge that she was over dramatic
- 32:09about the whole music thing and that she apologizes for that, but then still
- 32:15comes at Ethan. Ethan is so inept and so doesn't want to deal with
- 32:22her emotions at all. When she starts crying, he gets pissed off and
- 32:27doesn't want to deal with that at all. And I think that's a huge
- 32:29problem. Like Ethan, you have to be able to deal with people's emotions,
- 32:32Like, whether you like it or not, people are emotional and you're
- 32:36gonna have to be able to grow the fuck up and deal with that and
- 32:38be in tune with your own emotions. But he's so disconnected from how he
- 32:43actually feels that he cannot relate to other people's emotions and Micah brings us up.
- 32:50He's like, this is frustrating to hear their conversation between the two of
- 32:53them, because Ethan is so emotionless and Mariah is the complete, utter opposite,
- 33:00and Ethan doesn't necessarily understand emotions at all, so it's super frustrating.
- 33:06Yeah, And I was wondering whether Ethan is so turned off by emotionality because
- 33:13Olivia has just been dumping emotions on him for eight years straight during their entire
- 33:17relationship, and he's so burnt out by it, or whether it just triggers
- 33:23in him his inability to connect emotionally and so he just shuts down. I
- 33:28don't really know. I think maybe it's the blending of the two. I
- 33:30agree. I could see though Ethan getting upset here. I could see him
- 33:34kind of sinking back into that fucking toxic, masculine kind of leg will but
- 33:37let me finish, let me finish. Yeah, And I just felt like
- 33:42he wasn't soft with his sister. He wasn't ready to be soft with his
- 33:46sister. And I actually appreciated that. Mariah was like, yeah, I'm
- 33:50not apologizing for something I'm not sorry for. She is not sorry for how
- 33:53she feels about Olivia. She is not sorry for I think how she has
- 33:58treated Olivia. She's sorry about the accusing her of stealing thing because of the
- 34:04way it impacts Ethan. Right, I don't think she gives a shit about
- 34:07Olivia, so I think she's trying. But at the same time, Ethan
- 34:10has really good points, like you were spending the entire summer giving me shit.
- 34:15You make the social media post, you don't pay your bills, you
- 34:19move out in the middle of the night, you block me right right,
- 34:22and you're not taking any responsibility, Like when I'm trying to sit down and
- 34:25have a conversation with you so we can fix it, you're just running away,
- 34:30right, And I'm like, Ethan, you're kind of talking to yourself.
- 34:34Isn't that what you do? Yep? In conflicts, though, yeah,
- 34:36it bugs you because you do it too exactly, And that's why it
- 34:39was so frustrating, because it's like she's literally doing the same things that you
- 34:43do, just opposite. And also I didn't like how he kept calling her
- 34:47over dramatic, like just for the way that she reacts and for her saying
- 34:52that he was yelling at her and being upset with her. I don't know
- 34:55if I believe him when he says, oh, I think that was just
- 34:59her being we're dramatic and dishonest. Yes, so he's implying she's lying about
- 35:02that. Yeah, I'm like, I think you are an emotional cripple and
- 35:06you don't understand how you come off to other people because of that, right,
- 35:08And you are not compassionate to other people's emotions because of you, And
- 35:15you cannot deal with emotion. Right. You just don't have the tools to
- 35:17communicate, and it's incumbent upon you to get those tools. You can learn
- 35:22to communicate with the people that are important to you. But at the same
- 35:24time, Mariah, you did a lot of shitty things, right, And
- 35:28then when he was trying to deal with it with you, instead of just
- 35:30saying, please stop yelling at me, we are having an adult conversation.
- 35:34I am not fifteen year old Mariah anymore. You cannot push me around.
- 35:36I want to work through this with you, but stop yelling. Instead of
- 35:38doing that, you avoid, you block, You talk shit to everybody else
- 35:44about Ethan, but you don't talk to him, which is what Mica says,
- 35:46that's what we do in this family. When we have a problem,
- 35:50we talk to everybody else, but we don't talk to one another. At
- 35:53the end of this conversation, Mariah says, well, well, because Ethan
- 35:58says, I don't really know what good this conversation, like we really didn't
- 36:00get anywhere. And Mariah says, well, I just want you to know
- 36:04that I love you, yeah, and I want you to remember that,
- 36:07like, no matter what happens, how long it takes for us to get
- 36:10back on the same page, I love you yeah. And he doesn't say
- 36:15it back. No, He's like, okay, good talking and leaves the
- 36:17car and gets out of the truck and gets and he's pissed off. And
- 36:22Mike is like he's out of the truck and he's very very pissed. That
- 36:25was really lame, immature, Grow the fuck up, Ethan. I know,
- 36:29I'm like, get some fucking therapy. And I do think part of
- 36:32this is because he just deals like this with Olivia's stuff, like with her
- 36:37emotions. He just is not capable of handling it because of Olivia. Partly
- 36:42because of Olivia. But they also brought up the credit card right right,
- 36:45So Mariah talks about how that was all a lie that Olivia said, and
- 36:50Ethan stands up and he's like, no, there's not gonna lie. Actually,
- 36:53go ask Olivia how mom reacted to when I when she told her to
- 36:58stop using my fucking credit card, Like she can't do that, that's not
- 37:00okay. And then Mariah just kind of shoves it off and is like,
- 37:04well, we're just a family, a family. No, you can't say
- 37:08that this is a lie, and then put out a social media post calling
- 37:14my wife a liar. And then when I tell you that objectively it's not
- 37:16a lie. It's exactly what happened, right, you can't then just default
- 37:21too well, But I mean, I don't know the way it happened.
- 37:22It was just fucked up and little and gloss over it. That's not how
- 37:25that works. I just wish somebody in the family would say, okay,
- 37:30even though it wasn't a lie, why did Olivia take it upon herself to
- 37:35say this on national TV preach without any of our consent? And she did
- 37:39it purely for the shock factor and to make everybody look to be punitive.
- 37:44Yes to drag Kim. I wish they would fucking say that and call that
- 37:47out, because that's the real issue. Here is the issue of Olivia stirring
- 37:52the fucking pot and making this family look way worse than what they really are.
- 37:57Like, I know Kim is terrible, okay, like, and Kim's
- 38:00done some shitty things. Yes, she's a nark for sure, but Olivia
- 38:02doesn't need to take it upon herself to shed the light on that. We
- 38:06can see that for ourselves, and she doesn't need to be stirring drama on
- 38:09the show and causing a rift in the family, right And you have to
- 38:13remember she did this after an entire season of shitty behavior, shitty behavior in
- 38:19Jamaica with Micah and Mariah, shitty behavior at Joshua's gravesite, and then shitty
- 38:24behavior at the reunion at the River exactly at the end of the season.
- 38:29Like she was totally out of pocket, out of line. Yeah, and
- 38:31then she makes this wild claim about Kim. Maybe it's true, maybe it's
- 38:35not. Kim has never defended herself, so we kind of have to believe
- 38:37what Olivia and Ethan are saying. But nonetheless, you did it publicly after
- 38:43you guys had made amends, exactly after you guys agreed to put it behind
- 38:46you. Ethan even talks in this episode about how he just wants to get
- 38:51his whole fucking crazy family to sit down at a table. Everybody air your
- 38:57grievances, tell the next person what is that you heard about or upset about,
- 39:01Then deal with it and let it go forever, not to be brought
- 39:06up at another time, dragged out in order to punish somebody else, and
- 39:09let's just move on with our lives. And see, that's precisely I think
- 39:14what Olivia did because Barry, Kim, Ethan and Olivia had a conversation after
- 39:20the credit card thing and they put it behind them, but she drug it
- 39:22back into the light and then she put it on the national stage and yeah,
- 39:29Kim and her family are pissed about it. You didn't need to do
- 39:30that. Kim was doing a great job showing us who she is without you
- 39:35piping in there, Olivia, right, And I understand Olivia that you have
- 39:37bitterness towards the family, but it's not appropriate to cause drama on national TV
- 39:44and then play the victim about it and be like, I don't know why
- 39:46nobody wants to have a relationship with me. I didn't do anything wrong.
- 39:51Mm hmm, okay, Robin Brown, I know exactly so many parallels.
- 39:54Yes, So Micah and Ethan get back on the road, and this is
- 40:00when Micah receives the text from Olivia. And Olivia, who again knows Mike's
- 40:06coming into town. She has told Ethan she doesn't want him to come over
- 40:09to the apartment. Olivia is sending a text to Micah asking if he wants
- 40:15to meet with her somewhere, just Micah and Olivia so they can kind of
- 40:19just talk hash out their issues. And I'm sure in her mind she's thinking,
- 40:22and then you can come back to the apartment. We'll be cool,
- 40:25we can move on from there. So Micah tells Ethan, Hey, I
- 40:30got this text from your wiggity whack wife who just wants to stay forever in
- 40:35all the drama, my guy, and so what do you want me to
- 40:37do? And Ethan's just like, I don't know, whatever you think is
- 40:40appropriate, and Mike's like, cool, I'm gonna tell her I don't want
- 40:44to hang out with her one on one at all. I just want to
- 40:46keep things light and happy. I don't want to hashit out. I don't
- 40:49want to clear the air because I don't want to have a relationship with her.
- 40:52Is that cool? And Ethan's like, yeah, sure what EV's even
- 40:55though he's like panicking and he's panicking and on the couch, He's like,
- 40:59it would be really awesome if Micah could actually meet up with her and maybe
- 41:02they could talk it out. But at the same time, I do not
- 41:05blame him, yep for not wanting to be in the horseshit. Dento's down
- 41:09in horseshit all the fucking time. It's over it, and I get it.
- 41:13Yeah, but I think he really wants Micah to make the effort because
- 41:16I think it would go a long way with Olivia, would it. I
- 41:20think it would go a long way with Olivia. And I think that actually
- 41:22would have good ramifications on Ethan's marriage because I think Olivia is always up his
- 41:28motherfucking ass. I don't know. But then there's the conflict with Mariah,
- 41:31and Mariah won't reconcile with Olivia, so there's always gonna be something that's gonna
- 41:36piss Olivia off. Like it's never gonna be good. The Plaths are never
- 41:39gonna give her what she needs. No, they are not. They did
- 41:44not want to. They're over Olivia. And so she gets this text and
- 41:46here again we have the infliction of the narcissistic injury. She has been rejected,
- 41:52access denied. You cannot come into my sphere of influence. You cannot
- 41:58affect my good vibes with your bad vibes. Fib check, fib jack.
- 42:02I want to keep my good vibes, Olivia. So no, Like,
- 42:05why don't you come over to Pops when we drop off the cars, Why
- 42:07don't you come over to the bar. I'd love to see. That's super
- 42:09cool. I just want to make it, make sure it's light and it's
- 42:12good. That is what I want. And I love a king who asserts
- 42:15a boundary. I love it so much and super cool about it. He's
- 42:19like, yeah, I would rather do X, Y and Z, but
- 42:21you're totally invited come on over. Yeah, why not boundary yep. And
- 42:25she feels it. Oh, and she's pissed about it. Yeah, she
- 42:28is so mad. I can't be fake. I can't act happy. There's
- 42:31shit that I got to talk about. Oh God, there's always shit that
- 42:36you have to talk about. So Olivia's very upset. And in the last
- 42:39segment of this episode, we have Olivia calling her sister Lydia Grace, who's
- 42:45the only person left who's willing to talk to Olivia and put up with her
- 42:50bullshit, And she tells Lydia Grace that Micah has refused her offer to meet
- 42:57in person, and just like you said, Olivia's like, I'm just not
- 43:00a fake person. I'm not just gonna go out drinking at some kind of
- 43:05bar with somebody who talks shit about me for an entire year. And I'm
- 43:08like, what are you talking about? What are you talking about? She
- 43:09said that a few times they have been talking shit about me. They she
- 43:13didn't say that exactly. They've been talking about me and really crap eats me
- 43:16for a full year. And we're not supposed to talk What are you fucking
- 43:21talking about? Before I see you? We're just supposed to pretend none of
- 43:23this is happening this entire season. You're talking about that, that's all you
- 43:27do. In fact, every time Barry doesn't do it and he has an
- 43:30opportunity to talk about you, he's actually really gracious. Micah is super chilling
- 43:34cool. He's just saying, hey, I don't like what she did,
- 43:37but you know, I'm okay to sit down with her. Even Mariah doesn't
- 43:39really trash her it is Olivia, yep, constantly trashing the fam exactly.
- 43:45Hi, I'm the problem. It's me, my god, for real.
- 43:49So she said a couple of interesting things here. She said that while Micah
- 43:57and her were texting and he was turning her down for her offer, that
- 44:00Ethan was there at the same time. He's driving with Micah, so he
- 44:05knows how this is going to affect Olivia when she is rejected. He knows
- 44:09she's a n arc he knows she's going to be upset. And yet no
- 44:13call, no text, no commiseration, no compassion from Ethan, which says
- 44:19a lot to her, and I thought, fair enough, Oh yeually for
- 44:22sure. I mean, Ethan really doesn't want to put any more effort into
- 44:29this relationship. I feel like he may have maybe sent her a text a
- 44:32couple of years ago, maybe if this scenario happened back then, But I
- 44:36feel like now he's just really over it and he just doesn't want to have
- 44:39to accommodate for her and hear her nagging mouth, honestly, and I don't
- 44:45blame him, I really don't know. Lydia Grace asks Olivia if Olivia's standing
- 44:50her ground with regard to Micah coming over to the apartment will affect her relationship
- 44:54with Ethan, and Lydia ultimately says yes, Olivia says sorry, says yes,
- 45:00and then Olivia tells us that before Ethan left for the trip to kro
- 45:06he told her that if he would have known that being with her would have
- 45:10caused all this drama and chaos in his family, he would not have done
- 45:15it. He would not have seen her. Do you would believe that he
- 45:19actually said that. I do believe. Oh, I do. I believe.
- 45:21I believe it. I think so too. I believe it. I
- 45:22mean it's true though, like everything fell apart when you came into the family.
- 45:29I'm sorry. I know you may have tried to come in with okay
- 45:32intentions, like try to set boundaries. I don't know. I guess I
- 45:37can't really see it. But everything fell apart when Olivia came in. Yes.
- 45:43Really, and Olivia, when she's sitting on the bed, says that
- 45:45him telling her that actually puts a lot of pressure on her because now she
- 45:50knows that this is how he feels, so she wants to make things work
- 45:52out, but at the same time, he's not doing what he needs to
- 45:54do by opening his mouth and talking to her as her husband, and I
- 45:59was just trying to put myself in her situation. Like if I was fighting
- 46:04with my husband's sibling and he knew my side of it and he knew their
- 46:08side of it, and he was hanging out with that sibling first fault,
- 46:12I would probably have an issue with that. I probably feel that, but
- 46:15I would not stop him, not unlike Olivia. But then if my husband
- 46:19knew I was actually talking to his sibling and it wasn't going the way I
- 46:23wanted, I would be butt hurt if he didn't call in and check on
- 46:27me and say, hey, yeah, you know, I know you wanted
- 46:30to meet with Micah and he doesn't want to. I get that. That
- 46:34hurts. Just want you to know I love you. It's gonna be okay
- 46:36something like that, right. I agree, No, I feel for her
- 46:39in that regard. But at the same time, it's like you made your
- 46:44bed, girls, right, Like you have caused a lot of these issues,
- 46:47and you've caused Ethan to kind of resent you because you have destroyed a
- 46:52lot of his relationships with the family, And so I mean it's like I
- 46:58can't fall Ethan, but I can also fault him because he's dumb, right,
- 47:01and he's immature, and he needs to be single for a while before
- 47:05he gets into another relationship. I don't know, Beatrice. When he's on
- 47:07the couch and he's pontificating about his relationship and his family, he actually sounds
- 47:13well thought out, like he's actually considered what's happening, why it's happening,
- 47:17what the best thing to do is. I feel like he is probably shut
- 47:22down a lot when he's trying to communicate what he wants. I think Olivia
- 47:27weaponizes his inherent love of family and uses his love for his family and his
- 47:31desire to be with his family as a weapon against her. Oh you want
- 47:37to be with them, that means you don't love me, or you don't
- 47:40support me enough, or this is in a safe space. This is my
- 47:44home, and I get to say no to who I want to have in
- 47:46my home, even though all he wants to do is see his brother,
- 47:50hang out with his brother, and show him his apartment. Now, w
- 47:52we track with her being a narc for sure, And that's what narcs do.
- 47:57They isolate and then they make you feel guilty for having normal human emotions.
- 48:00But then I'm just like, Ethan, stand up for yourself a bit
- 48:04then with your relationship with her, or like just be honest. Like he
- 48:07just can't. He can't be the Ethan on the couch that he is with
- 48:12Olivia. You know what I'm saying, Like he can't yes, put two
- 48:15and two, So it's really annoying. I think when he tries to do
- 48:19that, I bet she's pretty reactive because he seems really reticent to open up
- 48:22and say how he feels. But when he does, when he's alone on
- 48:25a couch with just a producer, he has the ability to explain and articulate
- 48:29himself. Right, He's probably just been batted away so many times. We
- 48:32also hear Olivia say that anytime Ethan does go and spend time with his family,
- 48:38he hunkers down with him and there's all these secrets and this dishonesty and
- 48:44there's no compassion. And she's like, if my family were to do that
- 48:50to Ethan, Like, if my family treated Ethan the way Ethan's family treated
- 48:53me, I would go above and beyond to make sure I protected him.
- 48:58And you know what, I don't believe. I don't believe it. I
- 49:00don't believe it, and I feel by the way Ethan has gone above and
- 49:04beyond. Yes, he took you to Europe, girl, he moved away
- 49:07to Minnesota. He's gone and lived in a new place every single year he
- 49:10has ridden for you. He almost got in a fight with his dad,
- 49:15right, this has altercation with you, so like, I mean, he
- 49:17has been trying his hardest. It's just never ever enough. And I don't
- 49:22think you would defend him against your family because if he had problems with Lydia
- 49:27Grays, you'd be like, well, that's my sister, right, So
- 49:30it's double standards. Yes, she's only double standards. Unfortunately. Uh.
- 49:35The episode ends with Lydia asking well, what happens if Micah comes over to
- 49:39the apartment anyway? And she's like, you know what, him saying no
- 49:45to meeting me one on one that's one thing. You know, wanting to
- 49:49hang out and keep it light, that's one thing. But if you're going
- 49:52to walk up in my house after you know I don't want you to be
- 49:54here, all bets are off. That's fair. I mean it's also her
- 49:58house, that's fine. So does this feel like that's exactly what they're setting
- 50:04them up to do? Well, Ethan in the U haul was like,
- 50:07well, I kind of feel like I should just drop by with Micah,
- 50:09but I know that that's gonna piss Olivia off because it's her space and she
- 50:13set that boundary and I'm like, ooh, you're testing the water. So
- 50:16if Micah does come into the apartment with Ethan, do you think that Olivia
- 50:22has the bollies to actually say something? I don't think so. I actually
- 50:27really don't think. I think she'll be passive aggressive, She'll be distant,
- 50:30but I don't think she's gonna actually say what she wants to say. She's
- 50:32all talk. Yeah, I don't think so either, And so that is
- 50:36how the episode ends. We have the preview, of course, for next
- 50:38week, wherein we see our girl Cam complaining that Barry is getting all the
- 50:45praise because he's stepping up a little bit, but here she is, having
- 50:50done all the work for twenty five years and she gets no recognition. Bitch.
- 50:54This pissed me off so much? Why so much? We are out
- 50:59here and around after your divorce with no regards, no divorce, married,
- 51:04no divorce, actually your separation, and you want recognition for what for educating
- 51:10them poorly? When they were homeschooled for eating all the sugar and depriving them
- 51:16of that. Like, what are you talking about? What she's talking about
- 51:21is not that she's not getting recognition. It's that Barry is God forbid.
- 51:24So she's jealous that the kids are gravitating to Barry, who again going to
- 51:30the gym, showing up, cooking for his kids, taking time out,
- 51:34trying to stand in the gap that was left behind when Kim left the family.
- 51:37And she wants to be celebrated and praised for everything she did for twenty
- 51:42five years, but she's not getting any of it. Barry is getting all
- 51:45of it. And I understand that she was no. I understand that she's
- 51:49bitter because Barry was an absent kind of father, Like he was working all
- 51:52the time, he wasn't really present for twenty five years. And she's raising
- 51:57a gaggle of kids by herself. She's having Lydio raise them. Well,
- 51:59yes, she's having the kids raise each other, and so I understand where
- 52:04the bitterness would come from. But like, get a fucking grip, lady.
- 52:07He is stepping up because that's what you're supposed to do when you separate.
- 52:10You're supposed to fill both shoes of the mom and the dad. Right,
- 52:14he's trying to be more present in his kids' lives because he knows he
- 52:16has to be. He's a single parrot. Now, So what you're gonna
- 52:21fucking fault him for that? Yes, because she's not getting the adoration or
- 52:24the praise. This is not That's what a narcissist would feel in that situation.
- 52:29She wants to get it all and none for him. That was wild,
- 52:31But I mean, at the same time, she kind of has a
- 52:35little bit of a point because no matter how much better of a job she
- 52:39could have done, and she could have right, she could have equipped her
- 52:42children to at least get a fucking ged, which she did not do.
- 52:45But she did homeschool those kids. Those kids have skills, talents, and
- 52:50abilities that most children do not have. They have good heads on their shoulders.
- 52:53Kim had a lot to do with that. It is a better pill
- 52:57to swallow to see all of that recognition now going to Barry, who's like
- 53:00showing up for like two seconds. And also I want to stand up for
- 53:05Barry too, Like a man having to go to work from sun up to
- 53:09sundown isn't an absentee father. Necessarily, he's working for his kids so those
- 53:15kids can have food on their table and get an education, whatever education they
- 53:19can cobble together for those kids, so he can buy them cattle so that
- 53:22they can teach them these life skills. Barry facilitated that by the work that
- 53:24he did, which is just as valuable. Just because he wasn't there in
- 53:28terms of FaceTime doesn't mean his contribution was less than hers. Agreed, Yes,
- 53:32okay, we are on the same page with that. We also see
- 53:36Isaac and Barry arrive in la and Barry has like some fancy shoes, He's
- 53:40got the drip and the rizz, so cute. We see that Ethan is
- 53:46telling Olivia that she has completely changed since they've been married, and he's frustrated,
- 53:52and Olivia, in a moment of what looks like vulnerability, says that
- 53:58she was young when they got married, and she didn't know who she was,
- 54:01and so of course a lot has changed. And this is when Ethan
- 54:04asks if there's any world in which they can make this work. And we
- 54:08look at Olivia, she's got tears in her eyes. And if you look
- 54:12at Ethan as we're like kingd Olivia. You can see him shaking his head.
- 54:15No, I believe it, because he can't relate to her anymore.
- 54:19She's changed so drastically that they can't even mesh well together. It's like the
- 54:24whole opposite attract thing doesn't right now, doesn't have this anymore. And my
- 54:29feeling is they're not banging, because if she was banging him, it would
- 54:32cover a multitude of sins. There's a lot of things he wouldn't be paying
- 54:37attention to if he was getting that cookie on the rag. But I think
- 54:42they're probably not fugging. And so everything is breaking down and everything is bad
- 54:46and they're gonna break up. It's kind of interesting to see, Yeah,
- 54:51it is. It's so dry, it's so quick, like it's happening very
- 54:54quickly, kind of like the way Kim left Barry. That's the way Ethan
- 54:58and Olivia are exploding their marriage as well. The parallels are so fascinating.
- 55:02Yes, good episode, you were right. I told you. Yeah,
- 55:06lots and lots of layers in this one. All right, let's take a
- 55:08little bit of a break. We have to pay these bills, keep these
- 55:12lights on the honey, we will be back on the other side. To
- 55:15have a rousing conversation about ninety day fiance and all those fools. Yes,
- 55:21so stay tuned, we'll be right back. We are back to talk ninety
- 55:28day fiance. I am excited to get into this one. There were so
- 55:31many interesting things that happen. Yes, but before we do, I understand
- 55:36that somebody called our speak by baby. They did. They were anonymous,
- 55:39so we don't know who you are. Anonymous raccoon, Yes, secret raccoon
- 55:44it anyways, we'll play its real short and sweet. Who is my thoughts?
- 55:51Who talks about family? Shun taal? Please, I've been searching.
- 55:54I can't find it. That sounds like my kind of person? Who her?
- 56:00That is? Is my kind of raccoon? Yes, thank you.
- 56:02My thoughts is a sweet little potato on YouTube. It's m y spacehots.
- 56:09Is it a space between the mine and the thought? Yes, okay,
- 56:13my thoughts. What we'll do? I will include a link in the comment
- 56:19section of this YouTube. Yeah, so then you can go and check her
- 56:22out. But she's so funny, awesome. She's just a cute little potato
- 56:27in the bottom of the dumpster widows. But she's a little savage. She
- 56:30gets to her points and I do love them, yes, so yeah,
- 56:34definitely check out my thoughts. She's very popular on YouTube. But we love
- 56:37her. We both watch her, and we just we're very entertained. Yeah,
- 56:40to say the least, she's great. You'll love her. Okay,
- 56:43let's get into this episode of ninety fiance. Yes, take it baby.
- 56:47Well, we start with Rob the Knob and Sophie. Yeah, it's the
- 56:52morning after Sophie left his ass and downgraded to a nice hotel downgraded right,
- 57:00studio apartment. Yeah, and he's but hurt. Of course, he feels
- 57:05very betrayed. He's like, I just wish we could work this out.
- 57:07He feels betrayed, even though he's the one who's exchanging gross videos and pictures
- 57:12online with Rando's. He feels betrayed. Well, he says those conversations were
- 57:15old though, so she's freaking out of her nothing. Fourteen weeks ago.
- 57:20Fourteen weeks ago? Yeah, how many How many months is that? That's
- 57:23like three months, right, that's three months, four months, that's not
- 57:28that long ago. Let me catch my husband talking to some tramp on the
- 57:34internet four months ago. He would be devoid of one hundred percent. And
- 57:40she also told you not to do it, and then you're doing it still.
- 57:45She told you, if you do do it, we're done. I
- 57:47am not coming back to you. It is Ova, So what do you
- 57:51expect my guy? So he's texting her, she's ghosting him. She don't
- 57:54want to deal with it. Yep. Meanwhile, she's in the hotel room
- 57:58and she's sad, and she calls up her mom, who is so based.
- 58:02I loved her hair, lovelus, she shot it straight, honey,
- 58:07yes she Sophie opens up and is like, yeah, I found him soliciting
- 58:13porn from some hoe online and he was sending videos back, just nasty shit.
- 58:19And her mom is like, what the hell? He is a jobless
- 58:22loser. She's like, why are you even with this? Dufe is fly
- 58:28back to UK right now, your richest book. I'll buyo a plane ticket
- 58:31first class. Baby. This is come back home. Absolutely, this is
- 58:35all I'm saying, Like, why are you in this weird apartment or hotel
- 58:37room and Englewood, California, in LA or Inglewood, California. Just go
- 58:42back to London, honey. Please find yourself a hotter man that's gonna treat
- 58:45you right, duh. But she doesn't Sophie's hesitant. She's like, well,
- 58:51I want to hear his side because I love it. Why you can't
- 58:53turn that off? The love? He's a cheater and he doesn't value you.
- 59:00Girls do this all the time. You gave a woman to it too,
- 59:01but you gave him a boundary, you were super clear about it,
- 59:04and he stomped all over it. And now you're like, well, but
- 59:06he still want to sock to him? Why? Well, she flew all
- 59:09this way to what is that? A song? Cost fallacy? Give him
- 59:14a chance? Okay, I'm sorry, but if you have enough, if
- 59:16you have a lot of money, it doesn't matter that you took a plane
- 59:19ride from London to la It does doesn't cost you that much. You can
- 59:22just go home. Why do you want to be with this dead beat?
- 59:24Broke down two dollars Drake dollars door, Drake for dogs, door Drake wanna
- 59:31be baby profile, dollar tree, Drake, douchebagscom bag. Yes, well,
- 59:37maybe the dick game's good. Maybe she's stigmatized, so maybe that's what
- 59:40it is. I think she's enamored with his good looks. Yea, his
- 59:45pretty boy good looks, his arresting eyes. But I'm like, oh,
- 59:49dump him. Well, last La you were saying he looks like that one
- 59:52guy. I mean, I can see it when I blur my eyes.
- 59:54Yeah, and if I'm feeling a little frisky, I'm like, Okay,
- 59:59but am I I'm gonna settle down with a guy who has to use an
- 1:00:01outhouse in the courtyard of his busted ass apartment complex. No, man,
- 1:00:07absolutely not. So Sophi needs to leave his ass, but she won't.
- 1:00:10Next episode, I'm sure they're gonna work better. Her mother better come and
- 1:00:14get her. Her mom wants to sew bad meat his ass, but she's
- 1:00:16like, I'm just gonna let you make your own decisions because you're a grown
- 1:00:20ass woman. You can't tell him what to do at that age. You
- 1:00:22just can't. No, you can't. Next, we move on to Gino
- 1:00:25and Jasmine. Listen, where they are getting ready to meet Gina's lovely family
- 1:00:30at some weird mess hall like the very essence of what people shit on about
- 1:00:37Americans in the form of this Italian American family, know, like the toxic
- 1:00:45patriotism, the judgmental bullshit, the xenophobia and racism. And listen, Jasmine's
- 1:00:53crazy, insane, She's insane, and she's done a lot of questionable things
- 1:00:58and that goes without saying, but the way that family treated her was garbage.
- 1:01:04It was absolutely terrible. They get there, she had to dress appropriately
- 1:01:07because they think she looks like a skank otherwise, and she's tooper mescuitous.
- 1:01:10Okay, so she wears some weird sweater dress and Michigan winter. I'm like,
- 1:01:15why you got your legs out of whatever? Right? They get over
- 1:01:17to the mess hall. Then they start playing bachi ball, and she's a
- 1:01:21pro, and Gino is just like hard as a rock watching her. He
- 1:01:27needs a pill. He's like, wow, she's a pro. He needs
- 1:01:30a little pill. He's got the ead that's not for anybody. He needs
- 1:01:34her to pee on him. That's how he gets off. Anyway, they're
- 1:01:37playing bochie ball and then they go down to have some dinner or something as
- 1:01:43a family, and this is where Gino's family immediately starts interrogating Jasmine. Yo,
- 1:01:47Beatrice, what did you see that chick in the background in the denim
- 1:01:52jacket with the Bucky beaver teeth? No? I did. It was really
- 1:01:55crazy to me. If you guys have seen it, Like, if you
- 1:01:58guys want to go back and watch it, but the entire every time they
- 1:02:00panned to her, it was the same stuff face. She was like,
- 1:02:05I'm gonna have to go back. It was crazy. I had to actually
- 1:02:07pause it and call my husband into the room. I'm like, do you
- 1:02:09see this at the end of the table stickliety become aware of your facial expressions.
- 1:02:16It's terrified. It's amazing. Well, maybe she does, maybe she
- 1:02:20thinks she looks pretty listen. I was just I thought it was very strange.
- 1:02:23The whole cavalcade, the pantheon of Gino's family was just overwhelming in their
- 1:02:30dumbness. They heard they were their unattractive dumbness judgments. Although Gino's brother made
- 1:02:37me laugh so fucking hard because in his talking head he immediately starts roasting Gino
- 1:02:40and is like, Gino's ugliest fuck. He's broke as fuck, and he's
- 1:02:45like, why is true? And with him? Yes? Why is anybody
- 1:02:51with that? Dummy? But we love Gino. He's a good guy,
- 1:02:53don't get us wrong, He's just not at all. I think he's terrible.
- 1:02:58If you're leaving a shit in your toilet and the love of your life
- 1:03:00is coming here to move in with you and wants to bring her children,
- 1:03:04and this is the first thing she sees is shit in the toilet. Then
- 1:03:07you're fucking shit in the toilet, you piece of shit in the toilet.
- 1:03:10I hate him. I know. He's absolutely and they're sitting there roasting her,
- 1:03:15and he's just quiet. He's like, mm hmm, yeah, let
- 1:03:19me see my six three husbands sit at a table with the rest of his
- 1:03:22family roasting mate. Dude, he'd been doing nothing. Oh my gosh,
- 1:03:25Well, you would never do that, and he's already proven that time and
- 1:03:29time again. He would never let anybody step to his honey. No,
- 1:03:31but if he did, oh, I would get up. I will walk
- 1:03:35out on that man, the entire family. You would never see me again.
- 1:03:37And my red lipstick and bangs. Baby, I know, and she
- 1:03:40knows. Family Immediate is like, how are you going to be a productive
- 1:03:44American? Can you define productive American? Americans? Here? That are not
- 1:03:50productive in the slightest many go watch my six hundred pund life. I don't
- 1:03:52know that we're productive Americans. I'm I have a suspicion that we're not productive
- 1:03:59America is like, what the fuck do you think you are talking to?
- 1:04:02Jasmine? Who's bilingual, actually educated in a smart lady, and she says
- 1:04:06this, She's like, I've had jobs, like I've been working since I
- 1:04:10was sixteen, right, bitch, I know how to get a job.
- 1:04:12Once I can get a job, I can't work on this visa Gina's brother,
- 1:04:16so chill the fuck out. I mean, I thought she was really
- 1:04:19respectful and great responses. She could have popped off, because we know Jasmine
- 1:04:25can pop off. She does later, but she didn't. If I was
- 1:04:28just thinking, if I were there in that family, and even if I
- 1:04:31didn't know anybody or what was going on, I would totally be there for
- 1:04:35her. I get like, girl, you're awesome. Like here, I'll
- 1:04:38play botchy ball with you, like a fuck you Joe. I would totally
- 1:04:41be like out there with her, like weoll as somebody who's from another country
- 1:04:45just sit at a table and get roasted by all these lame white people I
- 1:04:47know. Well, one of the family members actually does tell her that,
- 1:04:50she's like, if you need to talk to anybody, yeah, but then
- 1:04:54she criticizes herctly, like what the fuck Gino's Family's crazy, like hateful.
- 1:04:58Before this, I was thinking Jasmine was being dramatic at first, because I
- 1:05:01haven't seen the season, all of the seasons with Gino and Jasmine where she
- 1:05:05has talked to his family before and they were very rude to her. But
- 1:05:10now after this, I'm like, they suck. Yeah, they're the worst.
- 1:05:13Yeah, judge as fuck. And I know Jasmine's crazy, and I
- 1:05:15know it's weird that she's with Gino. We get it, and she probably
- 1:05:17is a gold digger, but like, what are you gonna do? Gino
- 1:05:21is a grown man, He's making these choices himself. Well, he's such
- 1:05:26a spineless coward. Yeah, and she's not a gold digger because he has
- 1:05:29no gold to dig. Well, she's got an OnlyFans and she's probably got
- 1:05:31other sugar down or are they to be judging anybody with their dumb patriotic shirts
- 1:05:36on mark fucking extra sixty pounds standard American dinner? Yikes? Oh my god.
- 1:05:44And then after that whole awkward meet and great at the mess hall,
- 1:05:47they leave and then they get in the car and Jasmine's already on one,
- 1:05:51Like before going to the family meet up, she was already in a bad
- 1:05:56mood. She didn't want to be there. She knew it was going to
- 1:05:58be a trash fireact. And so in the car, she's just waiting for
- 1:06:02something. And so I don't know if the TLC producers put a fucking lip
- 1:06:06gloss in that car or what. Probably, but she finds a lip gloss
- 1:06:11and she immediately is triggered, and she's like, are you a jitter?
- 1:06:16You're a fucking jitter, Gina, I'm not a chair crazy. This is
- 1:06:23sick, sick, my god, She's screaming, she's crying, crying,
- 1:06:29She's pressed up against the window. This reminded me of so many arguments I
- 1:06:33had in my twenties with my first husband, just flipping the fuck out for
- 1:06:38no reason, just making a spectacle out of myself. She's going crazy,
- 1:06:44absolutely insane. Do you think this was all fake? Though? Like she
- 1:06:46is so dramatic, her crying is ridiculous. I don't think it's fake.
- 1:06:50I mean, I'm pretty credulous as the person They're like, I'm just gonna
- 1:06:54believe you unless it's super overt that you're lying to me. I feel like
- 1:06:57her emotions seem legitimate. I feel like Gino is always going to fail her.
- 1:07:02Oh, it's just an ever failure, failure for the rest of his
- 1:07:05life with your dumb hat hate you, Gina. But because he's an ever
- 1:07:11failure, I can't imagine a woman who wears a lip gloss would be in
- 1:07:15his car, I know. And he's even like it was probably a coworker
- 1:07:18that left it there, and she's like, so you fucking your coworker in
- 1:07:21the car? Amazing, exactly what I'm saying. And then they pull into
- 1:07:27some parking lot. She stomps away in like forty below zero weather in Michigan.
- 1:07:32It was just this weird sweater dress on and her legs are exposed.
- 1:07:35I'm like, honey, you can't do that in the North. You can't.
- 1:07:39She drops her phone and she's like, I want go, and Gina's
- 1:07:43like, peace out, bitch, I'll call you an uber beck to panty.
- 1:07:45Yeah, he said, go home. It's perfectly fine. I can
- 1:07:47shit in my toilet about flush and I can't wait. Please go home,
- 1:07:51crazy bit amazing. Gino and Jasmine are fucking insane, dude. Let's get
- 1:07:57him to the last resort marriage tree. They need to be on its to
- 1:08:02God's years. I think she'd be a good time. Oh, I think
- 1:08:05she's fun. I don't hang out with Jasmine. Oh, Yeah, they
- 1:08:09could go to the strip club so much fun. Gino can kick rock fifty
- 1:08:15year old, can't get it up, don't have a job, can't fucking
- 1:08:17flush your shit, you piece of shit. Can't flush your shit, Mike,
- 1:08:21I'm crazy. I'll stop. He deserves it's the worst. I hate
- 1:08:26him. So that's where we end off with them. Next we get to
- 1:08:29Honnilly and Clayton. Clayton's going to pick up Honiy from the airport, big
- 1:08:33yikes, and he's getting his room together, his twelve year old bedroom together
- 1:08:39with those stuffed animals which are soiled, soil yellow with time and dirty come.
- 1:08:46He's like the fucking panta on his bed. He's like, you need
- 1:08:50a wash, and like, why didn't you do that before? Had?
- 1:08:54That's nasty, super super nasty. He's got a T shirt that he made
- 1:08:58for her. Oh god, that's got the pictures of them together. And
- 1:09:01then he's got a mug that he'll show her at the airport. Okay,
- 1:09:05I don't need a mug at the airport. I mean make me tea tomorrow
- 1:09:10morning in a mug. That's fine. I don't need a mug at the
- 1:09:13airport. Language She knows he's such a dweeb. But before he leaves,
- 1:09:18Before he leaves, he's got to give his mom a talking to and asks
- 1:09:24her if she knows any Spanish, and she goes, yeah, como esta,
- 1:09:27Yeah, I mean okay, it's the bare minimum. Yeah yeah,
- 1:09:34olattle white, terribly white. And then Clayton has to tell her sternly,
- 1:09:42don't talk to Honorly like she's an idiot. Even though she doesn't speak good
- 1:09:45English. She's not stupid and I can translate, so just be chill.
- 1:09:49And the mom's like, okay, I mean, all right, whatever.
- 1:09:53So he goes to the airport. Honally arrives. They hug and kiss.
- 1:09:58It's turbo awkward, and then he are the mug that says has a picture
- 1:10:01of his guinea pig and it says don't eat guinea pigs are not food.
- 1:10:08My husband promptly said, they eat guinea pigs America. And I'm like why,
- 1:10:13and he's like, I don't know. It's a food source. It's
- 1:10:15a delicacy apparently, okay, but it seems like this is like a bit
- 1:10:17between Annaly and Clayton, so I don't know. She comes down the escalator
- 1:10:24and I'm like, this girl's going to be a problem, you think.
- 1:10:26So. First of all, it's the rise of her genes. It's the
- 1:10:31way that she's dressed. It's the glasses on her face, it's the expression
- 1:10:35on her jees. She seems she's judgy. Honey, she's the one that's
- 1:10:40judging. She calls him little one. She calls him a little one.
- 1:10:45No, man, I don't care if you're five to two or you're a
- 1:10:46legitimate little person wants to be called little one. She's a mean person.
- 1:10:51She has a mean streak. Okay, fake psych, a cat coming in
- 1:10:55in coming download. She's a mean person and she's there to use him.
- 1:11:00And we see it later. He wants to have a little sexy time and
- 1:11:03she's just like, here's your come encrusted panda right in the middle of the
- 1:11:08bed. Don't touch me, don't even look at me, pretend I'm not
- 1:11:12here. That was amazing. Yeah, and you could see the sadness on
- 1:11:15his fucking face. The disappointed just wants to stick his three inch or inney
- 1:11:23around. That's right, But also like, don't expect sex the minute that
- 1:11:28they arrive in America. Absolutely not. I mean, with your mom in
- 1:11:31the closet behind you, and your hoarder house with all your hamsters, no
- 1:11:35cow, fat dogs, no table, she say, all those cages everywhere
- 1:11:40else, and she could never These animals live better than the people too.
- 1:11:45They've got furnishings and things to do. But like, there's no place to
- 1:11:47fucking sit in this apartment. You crazy white people, I know, But
- 1:11:51she does say in her talking head, She's like, we're in the beginning
- 1:11:55stages of our relationship, so I can't expect the world from him yet,
- 1:11:59but eventually it'll need to change. I'm sorry. There is something called a
- 1:12:03bare minimum that you should be able to expect from your partner. Don't live
- 1:12:09with your mom? Yeah, don't you know how crazy and even terrifying it
- 1:12:13is that your mother is living in your walking closet. Do you not understand
- 1:12:16the optics in terms of like what other people might think that your mom is
- 1:12:19living in your walking closet? Come on, guy, touch grass, that's
- 1:12:25what they say, Get out, live life. This is inappropriate. She's
- 1:12:29going to hate you and kill you, just like love without borders. Yes,
- 1:12:32that chick down in was it Cartagena? Where were they Panama? She
- 1:12:36was the spicy latina And yeah it was the big guy just like her.
- 1:12:42She's giving me the same vibes. She's going to hate him, physically assault
- 1:12:46him. Yeah, this couple reminds me the most of them Coltia and Larissa.
- 1:12:50Okay, I see that too. It's kind of the same trope.
- 1:12:54Yeah, Virgin lives with his mom, but this Clayton guy's way more passive
- 1:13:00than Culty. I mean, we'll see, Okay, we'll see. Next
- 1:13:04we get to Ashley and Menuel, which we didn't see last episode. I
- 1:13:09hated him, Yeah, I'm sorry. I hate everybody. I don't like
- 1:13:12a very loving person with a big heart et phone home. Yeah, I
- 1:13:15did not like this guy. The way he smarked, the way he walked,
- 1:13:18the way he looked around, the way he was in that therapy session.
- 1:13:21I was like, why are you with this guy, lady? Because
- 1:13:25the sex is good? How can it be good? It's not good?
- 1:13:30Is there such a dearth of men in Rochester, New York that you'd end
- 1:13:32up with this dude? Well, Ashley is insufferable in her own way though,
- 1:13:35Okay, I didn't see a lot of that. She's kind of annoying,
- 1:13:39Okay, she's kind of demanding too, Like they both pick at each
- 1:13:42other in the ways that piss each other off the most. Like he will
- 1:13:46be quiet and not reactive to when she is trying to express her feelings,
- 1:13:50and that pisses her off. But then she is so overbearing and assertive when
- 1:13:57she is expressing her feelings that he's like, fuck this, why don't even
- 1:14:00talk to you. I'm just gonna bang your back out later and it'll be
- 1:14:02fine for another hour. Right, So they open up with this scene freshly
- 1:14:09fucked right. Morning Morning Mood plays. I had to write down this song
- 1:14:13because I always forget the name of it. Okay, I played it in
- 1:14:15band. Oh you did? I did? Oh my god, you're so
- 1:14:18adorable. What was your instrument? It was a flu? You played the
- 1:14:21flu? Yeah, my mom played the flu. My god. It's like
- 1:14:26I was meant to be in this fan I know it go on. My
- 1:14:29god. The Morning Mood is playing, it's beautiful, and the producers are
- 1:14:32like, what the fuck just happened? Like an hour ago, you guys
- 1:14:35were yelling at each other and now you're fine, And she's like, we
- 1:14:39fucked it. Oh god, nasty. I have more of the standard for
- 1:14:43yourself. Yes, anybody will take you to bed honey, you're a beautiful
- 1:14:46woman. You don't need this literal pimple of a man in order to feel
- 1:14:51like you're worthwhile on this planet. This person is terrible, and I worry
- 1:14:56about your life. I feel like this could be a daylight NBC situation.
- 1:14:59Well, is he gonna kill you? I don't know. I think no.
- 1:15:02I think he'll leave her because he just wants the green card. But
- 1:15:05they have a long history. They've known each other for ten years. Has
- 1:15:09she been spending him, sending him a bunch of money? I don't think
- 1:15:12so. I can't remember. At the beginning of the season, I think
- 1:15:15she's probably sent him some money, but like not not as much as gino
- 1:15:18four thousand dollars for a wedding or wedding dress. But they've known each other
- 1:15:23for a while. So they're getting ready to go meet Ashley's friends because her
- 1:15:29friends are very skeptical of Manuel, as they should be because of his ego
- 1:15:32and his temper. He's such an idiot. In this dinner party, he's
- 1:15:35very rude. I mean they're just asking him questions like are you ready to
- 1:15:40get married? And he's like, well, eighty percent. But I mean,
- 1:15:45in all fairness. They've been fighting every minute since he landed, so
- 1:15:49it's like, yeah, he's not entirely sure. He wants to be stuck
- 1:15:53with this his whole life, and so the friends are like, well,
- 1:15:57you guys need to learn to communicate better, and man Will gets all triggered
- 1:16:00and shuts down and he's like yeah, whatever, Yeah, but there's obviously
- 1:16:04like a language barrier. He doesn't feel like he's being heard. He can't
- 1:16:09really communicate properly to everybody because Ashley's friends don't speak full Spanish. Do you
- 1:16:15speak a little bit but not a lot? And I don't know. This
- 1:16:17whole friend's dinner thing kind of gave me Danielle and Johann vibes a little bit
- 1:16:21where Ashley's like talking bad about him in English, so he can't understand she's
- 1:16:28talking about him to her friends in front of him, and I'm just like,
- 1:16:31that's shitty. Yes, Because her friends open up with asking him like,
- 1:16:35how's your time been here? Since you've gotten here, He's like,
- 1:16:38well, it's like a dream come true. And then Ashley's like, well
- 1:16:41it sucks. We've been fighting a lot, but the sex is good,
- 1:16:44I guess, so it's just like they have a weird it's just dynamic.
- 1:16:47Well, after they meet up with her friends and he's very rude. Then
- 1:16:53the next day they go to couple's therapy, and I think I thought it
- 1:16:57was cool that the couple's therapist was bilingual and so she could communicate with them
- 1:17:00both, and that was cool. Ashley was kind of based with this.
- 1:17:04She's like, I think couple's therapy is more preventive, like we need to
- 1:17:08be able to work on things before we get married and are like tied down
- 1:17:11to all of this and have this huge commitment, especially with the Kwan visa,
- 1:17:15And so I thought that was good. But in therapy, it doesn't
- 1:17:18seem like they're going to go anywhere because Manuel doesn't even want to be there.
- 1:17:23He's like, I don't even want to say anything. Yes, this
- 1:17:25is all stupid. Well, there's a lot of cultures that do not respond
- 1:17:29well at all to the idea of therapy. Yes, And at some point
- 1:17:32in therapy it gets brought up, like about communication, and Ashley's like,
- 1:17:39I want you to be transparent, and he's like, what can't a man
- 1:17:42just have secrets? Though the answer is privacy Though, I mean, like,
- 1:17:48dude, privacy in the sense of, like, you know, you
- 1:17:53don't tell her that you got a pimple on your butt or that you're going
- 1:17:56to the bathroom to jack ass. You can have privacy, of course,
- 1:17:59but not like total privacy and secrets where you're texting other people. It's inappropriate.
- 1:18:03Got jobs lined up in New York and you've got all this family in
- 1:18:06New York that you didn't tell her about before coming over here. Like he's
- 1:18:11shady as the Yes, he's just using her for the green card. I'm
- 1:18:15calling it. Next, we have Nicki and Justin Igor Igor. Yes,
- 1:18:20I refuse to call him Justin. Wow, it's terrible. A lot of
- 1:18:24people in the show probably know him as Justin Justin Igor. That's the morning
- 1:18:29after and they finally had sex. But you know Whatikes, it's not good
- 1:18:32enough for Nicky. She needs more Okay, she needs more horse riding.
- 1:18:36Yep, she needs more cunn lingis yikes. She needs him to give more
- 1:18:42as opposed to take big Yikes. I don't need to know any of this.
- 1:18:45This whole thing is just grust Listen. It's not about being trans or
- 1:18:48heteronormative, or about a pepe or a vagina it's like, I don't need
- 1:18:53to know about this, and I'm just like tired of Nicky's obsession with sex.
- 1:18:57Why are you crazy about it? You can't shut up about it?
- 1:19:01It's great, Like she I think she really holds a lot of value with
- 1:19:05for herself if she's getting sucked all the time, Like it's tied to herself,
- 1:19:10to her personal identity and currency. Yes, and I hate it.
- 1:19:13So if she's not doing it, then she doesn't have value in currency.
- 1:19:16But it is so immature, it is really toxic. It is really tier
- 1:19:20one, as we say, in terms of consciousness. It's bottom of the
- 1:19:24barrel. Honey, come out of the basement with your horse. Yet,
- 1:19:27well, she says, she's a leopard in heat. Okay, very very
- 1:19:30horny. It's not appropriate, she says, she's he's depriving her. I
- 1:19:34thought that was so fucked up. Yeah, I'm like, that is so
- 1:19:38many, that is so manipulative and got to feed the k It's like she
- 1:19:42assumes, because he's a macho man, that he'll he'll want to fuck her
- 1:19:45all the time, every minute of the day. And it's like, well,
- 1:19:47but igor's literally telling you that there's more to a relationship than sex.
- 1:19:51He was like that when you guys first started dating, he didn't even try
- 1:19:55to fuck you on the first few dates. He seems pretty sensitive and like
- 1:19:58emotionally connected and entire yes, and like he needs the emotional connection in order
- 1:20:02to get it on. Well, my thing is, and we've talked about
- 1:20:05this on the pod before, like with other people that we've covered in different
- 1:20:09shows, but like she brings a lot of hard energy. Men typically don't
- 1:20:13like that. And when you're talking and I'm sorry, I know that might
- 1:20:15be a boomer take, okay, but I actually think it's very true.
- 1:20:17Yes, like men typically not always, but men typically like to pursue that
- 1:20:23is what they do. And so if this is being turned on its head
- 1:20:26and it's being reversed, he's probably going to struggle and have a hard time
- 1:20:30knowing how to court you and want to bed you. Like just relax,
- 1:20:33chill back a little bit, soften, let him lead and dictate like the
- 1:20:39pace of how it's going to go. If you could just do that,
- 1:20:43I think you'd be having way more sex, oh for sure. But you
- 1:20:45just can't shut up about it, no, And it's all about like how
- 1:20:47she feels about it and I'm just like, shut the fuck up. It's
- 1:20:50crazy. So then they get ready to go meet Eager's friends, and honey,
- 1:20:56this was pretty interesting, wild wild times in multi this was crazy.
- 1:21:00I couldn't believe it. I was a little nervous. I'm like, oh
- 1:21:03my god, she's going to meet his friends, Like what are they gonna
- 1:21:06think? Are they going to be super bigoted? But they were actually pretty
- 1:21:10cool. A couple of those guys were hanging back and just staring at her.
- 1:21:13They were yeah, they were I mean, but can you blame them
- 1:21:15though, Like if they're in a small country, they're very traditional, very
- 1:21:19conservative. They're like, this is not the norm for them. And also
- 1:21:25she's so overt with her declarations about prostitution and her sexuality. The way she's
- 1:21:30just putting it in their face is culturally, I think, insensitive and disrespectful.
- 1:21:34So she doesn't give a shit. She's just showing up to be the
- 1:21:36main character and everybody else just has to be in the audience. Yes,
- 1:21:41and it's very weird, like she's doing a lot of sexual things too,
- 1:21:45Like Igor has a drink straw and he takes it out and she immediately goes
- 1:21:48to suck it and then she like puts her boobs in his face, and
- 1:21:51I'm just like, okay, stop, we do that just to scandalize you
- 1:21:56in your wife. Well yeah, but not in public. Never in Also,
- 1:22:00one time I did go out to dinner with my husband and my brother
- 1:22:03and his kids, and we went to this cool restaurant and askedpin and whatever
- 1:22:08my husband was eating smelled so good and sounded so good, so I asked
- 1:22:12for a little bit, and he gave me just the food out of his
- 1:22:14mouth into my own mouth like a baby bird. And everybody just screamed up
- 1:22:17the table. So I ate the food, food out of his mouth.
- 1:22:20It was baby that did happen once. Yes, I'm serious, that is
- 1:22:27it's highly disgusting. I can't believe we did it, but it was so
- 1:22:30fucking funny because everybody just couldn't believe it. Like that's the same energy that
- 1:22:33I'm talking about. Yes, so overt and so out of bounds in terms
- 1:22:38of what people think is normal, what they're used to. Well, and
- 1:22:41she's doing this shit in front of strangers she's never even met. She's got
- 1:22:43a fetish, honey, It totally, this is a fetish for her.
- 1:22:46It's crazy and so then at some point, Nicky breaks off with Roxy and
- 1:22:51Igor is left with the guys. She Nicky and Roxy go to talk and
- 1:22:57she immediately is like, so doven men eat the pussy? I can?
- 1:23:01I'm just like, what does somebody wake me up? Am I stuck in
- 1:23:06a nightmare? And then she immediately goes into how Egor's not fucking her enough,
- 1:23:11and she's like, well, he used to go down on me all
- 1:23:13the time before he knew I was trance. He used to pleasure all over
- 1:23:16moscit and now he won't. It all tastes the goodness of the biscuit.
- 1:23:24And this girl, this Moldovan girl, just like is traumatized, so steady
- 1:23:30and level, and I think she knows this is disrespectful and highly alarming,
- 1:23:34but she's keeping her cool. She's not going off yet because I feel like
- 1:23:39she knows that you're making a fool out of yourself. Uh huh, this
- 1:23:41has nothing to do with me. If this is the kind of shit you
- 1:23:44want to say to somebody who don't know and on camera, then go off,
- 1:23:46Queene. I mean, this is insane. It's been like what two
- 1:23:49days that she's been in a Moldova and she's like every fucking minute of the
- 1:23:55day, Like, we don't have sex enough, he doesn't need my pussy
- 1:23:57enough. Meanwhile, back at the table, the guys start to question Igor
- 1:24:03about immediately Nicki and whether Nicki has a penis or whether she has had bottom
- 1:24:12surgery. And this is a very inappropriate line of questioning in terms of out
- 1:24:15in the West, we would never do something like that. Again, you've
- 1:24:17got to take into consideration the context of the culture. And so they're asking
- 1:24:21him and he's answering, and he's like, no, she's had bottom surgery.
- 1:24:25She is just like any other women in that way. Yeah, And
- 1:24:28he says, you can't even tell. He's like, but when I get
- 1:24:30into it and I start thinking about it and thinking about what it is,
- 1:24:35then he gets turned off. And so he's having a hard time. Yes,
- 1:24:40excepting that she's transfer, he's really trying, I think to still love
- 1:24:44her, because I think he does have feelings for her. I mean,
- 1:24:45they had a whole ass relationship for two years before he knew she was tranced,
- 1:24:51so like, there's still those feelings there. But he's having a hard
- 1:24:55time. And this is apparently the first time that they've seen each other since
- 1:24:58two thousand and six. She looks different. That's what. She's a physical
- 1:25:01freak show. She's a physical freak show. Absolutely. So it's not just
- 1:25:08that it's the fact that they haven't been together in a really long time.
- 1:25:11It's the fact that she lied to him about something so important and in a
- 1:25:15throwaway like manner, just told him that she was born a man like.
- 1:25:21Just the way that she's conducted herself has traumatized him deeply, and so he's
- 1:25:27trying to get his footing here. Yeah, I really feel like he does
- 1:25:30have a connection with her, he is in love with her to some degree,
- 1:25:32but the way she's conducting herself is so poisonous that there's no way that
- 1:25:38this survives. And I just feel I'm like worried about this guy actually,
- 1:25:42because are these friends going to go back to their families and then to their
- 1:25:45communities and tell everybody what he Gore is up to with this trans woman and
- 1:25:49his ego going to have some problems in Moldova about it, which is something
- 1:25:53Nicki doesn't fucking care about at all. Nope, and is taking no pains
- 1:25:58to make sure he's okay. It's all about her what she wants. Well,
- 1:26:00she's okay, yep, but no consideration whatsoever for ecor none. And
- 1:26:04I feel bad for him because he's really trying to show her that he's like
- 1:26:08not ashamed of her, he's proud to be with. This is so brave,
- 1:26:11it's so so cannot be overstated, unbelievably brave. Like he is showing
- 1:26:17affection to her, and he's defending her a little bit to his friends.
- 1:26:20He's like, no, like she's full on woman, Like you know,
- 1:26:24you can't tell her a part or anything, like I struggle with the trend
- 1:26:27stuff. But like when I first met her, she was just like this
- 1:26:30beautiful exotic woman and I was immediately drawn to her and I still love her.
- 1:26:34And his friends are taking it pretty well. I don't know if it's
- 1:26:36for the camera where it's they're gunging, they're totally yeah, But I think
- 1:26:42they're still trying to be his bro though, and like trying to be there
- 1:26:45for him. What would they be saying though, if the cameras weren't there,
- 1:26:48That's the thing. Yeah, that is the question. That is the
- 1:26:50question. So we'll see how that plays out. Last but not least,
- 1:26:56we have Devin and Nick. Okay, they're going to meet Nick's parents the
- 1:27:01long awaited parent meetup, and Devin and Nick are both freaked out nervous about
- 1:27:08it. But Nick's parents are fucking lovely, right, producer driven set up,
- 1:27:15like anticipating that his parents are going to be hard nosed, strict and
- 1:27:20difficult on Devin. But they were lovely. They were lovely. They called
- 1:27:24her skinny, they called her pretty. So why is she end up crying?
- 1:27:28This is the thing. Defan's kind of annoying. She's young, She's
- 1:27:30twenty three, right, Nick is like thirty something, and she's just very
- 1:27:35immature, Like the family's trying to connect with her, even though she doesn't
- 1:27:40speak Korean. But they're like, do you know any Korean words? And
- 1:27:44she's like, no, I'm too embarrassed to say anything. I can't.
- 1:27:47I'm like, I'm going to be such a boomer right now, I'm going
- 1:27:49to be such a generational boomer. And they be like, no, I
- 1:27:53don't want to offend anybody because most of the people are probably not as old
- 1:27:56as me. Right, no absolute facts, hashtag facts. But I'm like
- 1:28:00toughened up a little bit. For real, You're going to a new country,
- 1:28:02You're meeting these people. The one thing Nick asked you to do is
- 1:28:05don't cry in front of them, because it's not going to be appreciating.
- 1:28:09This is the first thing that you do. Open your mouth, learn how
- 1:28:11to talk. It's like, what's gonna happen if there's a zombie apocalypse,
- 1:28:15Devin, are you gonna just cry in the center of the street or are
- 1:28:17you gonna fucking get a gun or a bayonet and you're gonna go and hide
- 1:28:20in a bunker and you're gonna do what you've gotta do, Like fucking you're
- 1:28:23having Korean barbecue. Well, the nicest people I've ever seen on this franchise,
- 1:28:28and you're crying. God, grow up. I know. It's like
- 1:28:31a whole generation of these babies. What are we doing? Learn how to
- 1:28:35talk and be the social situation. I'm sorry, social anxiety exists, though
- 1:28:40social awkwardness exists. It's a lot of pressure because she's bringing him. I
- 1:28:43get it. I get it, But I'm at the same time, I'm
- 1:28:45a cold hearted bitch. I'm like, I'm gonna smack you. Look why
- 1:28:48you crying? Baby? I have an actual diagnosis of anxiety. I'm like,
- 1:28:51I get it. I understand being nervous, but his parents are literally
- 1:28:56being so nice to you though, like the entire time, and she starts
- 1:28:59crying because his parents are like, are you going to come back to Korea?
- 1:29:02You know when you move to America, Like I'm kind of worried that
- 1:29:04you're just like never gonna come back and we're going to miss you. Normal
- 1:29:08question. And Devin's like, well the pressure, and I'm overwhelmed. I'm
- 1:29:11like, what are you fucking talking about? You are dating a guy from
- 1:29:14Korea, Like you have to know that you guys should make regular trips out
- 1:29:17to Korea and like or at least fly his fucking parents out every once in
- 1:29:21a while so that way he can still have a relationship with his family.
- 1:29:25Yes, and what you're talking about about the questions that they might ask you
- 1:29:27as well, and maybe practice in the mirror before you go there. I
- 1:29:30feel like I'm being really harsh and people are going to be mad at me
- 1:29:31because I'm coming down so hard. I don't care. I agree. If
- 1:29:34your personal internal world is so debilitating that you can't even have a conversation and
- 1:29:42if you're crying at the table, I'm like, you've got to go to
- 1:29:44therapy. You're an Ethan Plath. You need to open your mouth and learn
- 1:29:47how to talk to people. You gotta be able to stand in a centered
- 1:29:49way in your body and exist in the world with presents. Devin, I
- 1:29:54know you're twenty three, and I get it. I'm just grow up though,
- 1:29:58for real, Like, and his parents are so zombies are going to
- 1:30:00get you. I know you're the first ones the zombies are going to get
- 1:30:03well for sure. But his parents are so nice when she's crying there,
- 1:30:06like, don't worry about it, Like we support you guys, one hundred
- 1:30:10percent. We think you're beautiful, you're great, we support your marriage,
- 1:30:14like we love you, and just you know, come visit us every once
- 1:30:15in a while. Like they react very very very nice. Yep, very
- 1:30:18nice. And then it concludes. They say goodbye and they're like bye,
- 1:30:21we miss you and everything, and it's great, Like it couldn't have gone
- 1:30:26any better. Well it could if she didn't she didn't cry, and if
- 1:30:29she actually maybe with her practice Korean words and she tried to anticipate the conversation
- 1:30:33and made them feel just as comfortable as they were clearly trying to make her
- 1:30:38feel. But she didn't do any of that because she's American. Yeah,
- 1:30:42cater to me crying though I'm sad, distress alive. It is overwhelming to
- 1:30:49be alive. Get it, snap out of it. By the way,
- 1:30:56I'm not a boomer. No, she's not. I'm not a boomer,
- 1:30:58so don't come man, you bro okay boomer. I'm jen X. Of
- 1:31:02course I'm gen X. It's the coolest generation. And I won't hear a
- 1:31:06dissenting voice about whatever you say. Every generation the coolest generation. Anyway,
- 1:31:11Devin, you didn't impress me. Maybe you'll do better in Arkansas, but
- 1:31:15highly doubt it. We'll see. And then we get to the preview where
- 1:31:18Nick proposes to Devin and it's so great. Ashley Menell fight. Lets have
- 1:31:26depressed babies. We can cry in the wilderness. Me, dude, Nick's
- 1:31:33gonna have a dard time in Arkansas. He's not gonna like He's not gonna
- 1:31:36like that at all. Ashley and Manuel fight after couples therapy. Shocker.
- 1:31:43Nobody cares Nikky and Justin. Igor goes shopping for things for Nicky to wear
- 1:31:47to meet his parents. Oh, I can't imagine it's going to be such
- 1:31:51a train. Oh my god. Honiley and Clayton meet up with somebody,
- 1:31:58maybe Clayton's sister, I don't know who. Thinks it's fucked up. Honory
- 1:32:00won't post him on ig Okay, won't make their relationship official. But that's
- 1:32:04because Honorley won't tell her family that she's dating Clayton. And the real reason
- 1:32:09why she's in America, well because she's not actually dating Clayton. She's using
- 1:32:12Clayton. Yes for from me for sure. And then Jasmine is still crying
- 1:32:17in the empty parking lot in the rain, begging Gino to buy her a
- 1:32:21ticket home and calls him a liar. And then Rob and Sophie meet up
- 1:32:26to talk about his cheating and she's gonna be like, I forgive you,
- 1:32:29but don't do it again. And I don't know he's gonna do it again.
- 1:32:32I kind of got the vibe that she's on her way out with him.
- 1:32:34Maybe it's just wishful thinking because he's such a turbo loser. No,
- 1:32:39she's a cloud goblin. I think she just wants to be on TV.
- 1:32:42Yes, I think they're going to be together. Watch them beyond the Last
- 1:32:44Resort. I don't want them on the last result, I take it.
- 1:32:46I want Gino and Jazzman. If they're doing a Kamma Sutra exercise, I'll
- 1:32:49take anybody. I love it. Yes, I wonder if Justin an Igor
- 1:32:55or just An Igor and Niki will yes, so justice justice for Igor,
- 1:33:00Yes, just justice or her Igor. I wonder if they'll be on the
- 1:33:01last Resort. Oh, God, they should be. That would be so
- 1:33:06terrific. I would love that. I want to just I want to put
- 1:33:10in my vote for that right now. Thank you TLC. I know you're
- 1:33:13watching. Yes, well, I thought this was a great episode. I
- 1:33:15certainly entertained. My husband at the end of it said, you are not
