It's still welcome everybody. Welcome to this week's edition. It's the Real Do
0:20
Show episod number seven and twenty nine for February first, twenty twenty four.
0:26
Welcome to your WAE Royal Robo Recap and Review and NXT Vengeance, a preview
0:31
and predictions edition of ass r T You. I am one aff the show.
0:37
I am Jabtack joined every single week my coast, the one only Doctor
0:41
Try Franklin, Doctor Trey. Welcome to the Road to WrestleMania forty my friend.
0:47
Yeah, and uh all, like we've already got a little couple of
0:50
bumps in the road, a couple of tours already. I'm not going back
0:53
into road analogies. That was last week's show, So uh yeah, apparently
0:58
it's all sailing from here on interrest. Oh yeah, say yes yes.
1:04
Lots of ups, lots of downs, lots of bummer things going on in
1:08
the world professional wrestling, lots of exciting things going on in the world professional
1:12
wrestling. It was a wild past week, especially for world wrestling entertainment,
1:18
and we're here to recap it all for all of you on this week's edition
1:22
of SRTU. And there's no better way to kick it off, Doctor Trey.
1:25
But looking back at the Royal Rumble, pl I almost call the pay
1:30
per view premium live event. This is uh, this is a show that
1:34
I think you can always go back to. I was thinking about this,
1:38
like, there's not many matches that you can go back to and rewatch and
1:42
like be into it and excited about it. I always have felt like I
1:47
could pop on the two thousand Royal Rumble tomorrow, I could pop on the
1:52
ninety seven Royal Rumble, ninety five Royal Rumble, twenty eighteen Royal Rumble.
1:57
I could put on this past weekend's edition Royal Rumble Match. I always can
2:01
watch Rumble matches and be highly entertained and attentive the entire time. Do you
2:08
feel the same way when it comes to the Royal Rumble. Yeah, I
2:12
would say the vast majority of them. Yeah. Plus you get to go
2:15
back and look and see like, oh my god, I've never realized these
2:19
two guys actually kind of squared off or had an interaction or a bubble bent.
2:23
You know. It's like you think of all the surprise entrance over years
2:28
past. You know, the mister perfect, so you know the times that
2:31
you know, Bully Ray or Devon's been in or some the other guys that
2:35
popped in. You're like, oh my god, I forgot these guys actually
2:38
touched in a WW ring. So you know, obviously, much like watching
2:44
you know, your favorite scary movie or your favorite drama, you kind of
2:46
know the ending. But sometimes it's kind of good to go back and reflect
2:50
and still, you know, have those moments where you're like, oh my
2:53
god, this was really really good. I really enjoyed this. Yeah,
2:55
a good rumble typically represents a really good time parent professional wrestling, and I
3:00
feel like that's what we got this past week with the Royal Rumble pay per
3:05
view. Let's get into it, Doctor Drury. This came to us this
3:07
past Saturday from Tropiccana Field, the former one of the iterations of the Thunderdome
3:12
back in the COVID nineteen era of WI which I hope we never go back
3:15
to again, in Saint Petersburg's, Florida, a place where Doctor Trena actually
3:21
watch to baseball at the game together at one time. Bailey wins the Women's
3:27
Royal Rumble match. I had Bailey, Doctor Trey, you had Becky Lynch.
3:31
Fun Royal Rumble match. I really enjoyed seeing Jordan Grace TNA Knockouts Champion
3:37
Grace getting a chance performed as that was a cool surprise. Not only did
3:40
she get an opportunity perform, but she lasted twenty minutes and had a really
3:45
good showing in that match. Naomi returned to w W WI in this match.
3:49
That was awesome. She was extremely emotional. Jade card Gil made her
3:53
WI debut and her face off with Bianca bell Air was a great moment too.
3:57
That makes me want a wrestling media match between the two. And then
4:00
lastly, it was nice to see Bailey win the Royal Rumble Match and get
4:03
the opportunity and the headline wrestling at forty, she has just about done everything
4:08
in her WE career now incredibly well deserved for Bailey to get this moment,
4:12
Doctor Trey Bailey is your Royal Rumble winner. Yeah, it was nice because
4:17
you know, you and I went through the pandemic era and talked about how
4:20
Bailey and Sasha Banks kind of carried not just the women's division, but he
4:26
carried a lot of you know, w programming at times. Though. For
4:29
her to come back to this venue and win the Royal Rumble. It was
4:34
great for her. It's good television because it's like, okay, where do
4:40
we go? We saw the Kubuki Warriors women Tag Belts the Friday night before
4:45
the Rumble, so damage control kind of has control over the SmackDown at least,
4:51
you know, women's division. So it makes for good storytelling, It
4:56
makes for good TV to see how this all plays out. I will say,
4:59
I don't know if you saw this, but after Bailey won, she
5:00
did kind of tighten up the ponytail for a little bit, So I didn't
5:06
if that was a little foreshadowy for worthing for to go. But overall,
5:11
just really happy for Bailey because I think she's maybe, you know, out
5:14
of all the main stays of the women's division the last few years, she's
5:18
kind of almost the forgotten soldier in all that we talk about Charlotte, we
5:23
talk about beck and we talk about Sasha, we talk about Rod three you
5:28
kind of forget how good Bailey really is, Yeah, you do. And
5:30
she is a solid worker. She is a very deserving wrestler to get this
5:36
opportunity. She will at times take a back seat. Sometimes she'll be a
5:41
vocal sometimes she'll just be mid level, help get people over. She is
5:46
a workhorse and she's, like I said in my recap of the match,
5:50
has just about done everything now in her WWE career. Very very happy for
5:57
her. The last couple of things that she has not had an opportunity need
6:00
to do is headline WrestleMania and win the Royal Rumbel Match. And now she's
6:04
accomplished at least half of that, and hopefully we'll get an opportunity to accomplish
6:10
the other half of that come. She's like eight to twelve weeks from now
6:15
with Resumania forty, which is got to be here quicker than we can imagine.
6:19
What was your favorite non Bailey winning moment from this match or what was
6:25
your favorite moment from the match? Doctor for because for me, I felt
6:28
like it was too really a nice surprise to see Jordan Grace get that opportunity
6:32
and then the Jade card gild debut her face to face with Bianca Bellair.
6:35
The fans really ate that up. Yeah, so Jordan Grace because the TNA
6:41
tie in, you know, longtime TENA fan, and the fact that she
6:45
looked phenomenal, Like I know I as people are like, well, I
6:48
didn't know who Jordan Grace was, but damn she came out and she was
6:51
just a house of fire and she looks fantastic and didn't realize how Jack she
6:55
was like. He's like, yeah, she looked like she belonged in WW.
7:00
So if they ever if here it makes that move, we all can
7:03
understand why My thing was. I love the double press slam spot where Bianga
7:09
and Jade both had people up over their heads and they were kind of showcasing
7:12
that, like just like the Jade Cargio spot once again, Merchi, like
7:17
Jordan Grace, you see here and you're like, yeah, this is where
7:20
she belongs. She fits in with this crowd. And then also like when
7:26
when Night got a Limit, Becky's sitting on the ropes just kind of waving
7:29
at her with Jade looking over her shoulder. I thought that was pretty cool.
7:32
Also, yeah, very very fun match there. The Women's Royal matches.
7:35
Bailey is your winner. Next match, Roman Reigns defeats Randy Orton,
7:40
AJ Styles and La and I in a fatal four way match to retain the
7:43
undisputed w Universal Championship. Dutch stray But and I both had Roman Reigns I
7:48
liked this match. I just didn't love this match completely. I felt like
7:53
the purpose of this match was to get a Roman Reigns title defense on one
7:55
of the biggest shows of the year while kicking off feuds between Randy Orton and
7:59
Solos and La Knight and AJ Styles. I would have liked to see some
8:03
more offense from Rains in this match, as it followed the blueprint I've been
8:07
complaining about the last several months, the last several Roman Rains matches. Rains
8:11
is really good, and not every one of his matches has to go like
8:16
this where not a lot of offense, some chicken shit stuff, Solo comes
8:20
out, interferes and Roman Roman gets the victory. Like it's I like the
8:26
blueprint when it makes sense, but it's like overkilling this blueprint. Rains is
8:31
a hell of a worker. Make them a little bit more dominant again.
8:35
I like this match, Doctor Trey, I just didn't love it because the
8:37
whole blueprint being followed time and time again with Roman Reigns. So I'm with
8:43
you, it says, I like the match. I didn't love the match.
8:46
I thought it was I thought it was good. I thought it did
8:48
enough for everybody involved, like, like you said, set up future rivalries.
8:52
Everybody still looks like they could be a made event star. And I
8:56
think sometimes when you matches like this, it's okay to have the chicken shit
9:01
wins so speak, because it still makes all the challengers still looks strong,
9:05
like it was kind of a flukish thing for you know, La Knights to
9:09
hit the rope and aj falls down and boom, there's a spear. It
9:13
fits because it saves everybody and you can still kind of build off that post
9:18
WrestleMania, you know. And I'm old school like the NWA. I grew
9:22
up on Rick Flair with the horsemen around him. This is basically the m
9:24
over every Rick Flair match during the eighties and into the nineties, and then
9:30
Hogan in the nWo for the most part. So when you get those moments
9:33
where the challenger is or the challenger actually wins, it's much more meaningful.
9:37
I mean, hell, like Hogan losing the Lex Luger made Luger a star.
9:41
Hogan losing to Goldberg made Goldberg a star. Hogan losing the Sting at
9:45
Star Kate basically elevated Sting to that you know, upper icon echelon here and
9:50
the same thing with Flair. I mean, who would have ever heard of
9:52
Rugged Ronnick Garvin had it not been for Rick Flair losing to him. So
9:58
I don't hate it. The difference is when you're at three years, you
10:01
haven't really built anybody up off of this, so much like the Undertaker's streak
10:07
at WrestleMania, whoever they decide to get the nods to should be positioned to
10:13
have a huge future of the company, just unfortunately for Taker, and they
10:16
did with Lesner. So yeah, I think the stuff that's been lost is
10:20
like Rains was getting people over and elevating them to his level when they weren't
10:26
doing the same blueprint. Right now, it just feels like they're coasting and
10:31
they're just trying to get to WrestleMania, and I don't know, maybe he
10:33
drops the title at that show, depending on the creative direction that does the
10:37
same. I mean, do you think it's because they didn't know which direction
10:41
they were going to WrestleMania. No, I just I just feel like it's
10:48
they don't I don't know if they know what to do with him because he's
10:52
not there as often as he used to be. Because when they the Bloodline
10:56
storyline has always had purpose, and the purpose was is the building of the
11:01
bloodline when he was on his ascension upwards, adding Jay and Jimmy and Solo
11:07
and then adding Sammy, and then it was the defection of Sammy that carried
11:11
them for a period of time. Then it was the defection of Jay and
11:13
Jimmy that carried them for a period of time. Ever since Summer Slam with
11:18
the match with jay Usso where Jimmy turned on him and then like realigned with
11:22
the Bloodline for no reason after starting the whole split and friction and all that
11:26
stuff. It's just and he hasn't been around on television. It's been just
11:33
different. It's just it's not serving a purpose right now. And I think
11:39
they've like we can compliment w creative a lot, but I feel like they
11:46
have been kind of lost since the SummerSlam match with jay Uso because they went
11:50
and stuff with La Night, similar blueprint. He went away for a while.
11:54
Now he's come back and then had this feud and then it was the
11:58
same blueprint basically as the La Night match. Yeah, I don't know.
12:03
I feel like they're just trying to coast a little bit with this title Reign.
12:07
Yeah, I think you know, the stuff we mentioned some of the
12:09
great stables of all time, whether it's the nWo, whether it's the Horsemen.
12:13
When you've got those those moments, usually there's also a defection, but
12:18
there's also an addition. You know, you could have the Big Show,
12:20
you could have Paul White, the Big Show, the Giant drop out and
12:24
slide somebody else int in turn. So you can always do one for one
12:26
swamps and I think that the issue sometimes with a group like the Bloodline,
12:31
where it's family, you can't you can't do that. It's hard to There's
12:33
only so many people you can add into the Bloodline. And they did build
12:37
main event stars off of it because they you know, not to mention that
12:41
his Challengers, but the same He's Aids and the Jay Hussos. So they
12:43
have built some main event level characters out of it. But right now,
12:48
to me, I think part of it is I feel like they didn't know
12:52
and I don't know. I say the Rock helped them up, but you
12:54
know, for the last few months, we didn't know if they're going to
12:56
Cody en Rollman or Rock and Rollman, So it kind of kind of maybe
13:00
holds up their storyline progression really since Crowdjewel at least, Yeah, I have
13:05
the vibe just the way you're starting to see the seeds being planted, with
13:09
the tribal air of Solo so CoA, all that stuff, his getting involved
13:15
in Romans matches, which is maybe this is all purposes. At some point
13:18
Solo is going to turn on Roman, and probably Roman's going to be away
13:20
for a while and return as a babyface, and then Solo's going to go
13:24
on this like rocket ship run in the period of time is a top heel,
13:28
probably unless he gets a baby face reaction for doing it. So like
13:33
you could see those seeds being planted. But yeah, maybe there's something to
13:37
it where they wanted to do Rock and Roman at thirty nine and then probably
13:41
carry this over to forty with Cody and Ben drop the title to him rather
13:46
than potentially repeat performance of Cody and Roman. Again, it's just it's felt
13:52
off this year. It started red hot with the Sammy Roman stuff started and
13:58
continued with a great co Roman feud match it and maybe whether you like the
14:03
result or not, and then that carried on with the friction of Jay and
14:07
Jimmy starting to split from the bloodline, and then we've reached SummerSlam and it's
14:11
just been like they don't know what to do from here for some reason,
14:15
and it's because lack of TV time with him, and there's like no purpose
14:20
with the bloodline. And I also feel like something they can't be lost here
14:24
about the bloodline. And I don't know how how you perceive this, but
14:26
this is how I perceive it, Doctor Tray. Every time Roman goes away
14:30
and Solo and Jimmy are left to fend for themselves on SmackDown, I feel
14:33
like they're lesser than They're not as a focal point as they should be on
14:39
the show, and I don't take them as seriously as I should when they're
14:43
next to Roman Reigns carrying on the bloodline Torch. Yeah, I think part
14:48
of it is that you know it, we'll kind of go into a living
14:52
where you get the rubble a little bit my stuff. But Jimmy doesn't seem
14:56
like the kind of like he doesn't have He's not his brother, and I
15:01
hate saying that because they're twins. But Jay has a little more pizzazz,
15:05
a little more charisma, a little more thing, and I think Solo suffers
15:09
from a little bit from like Umagasvivia where the audience really hasn't heard him talk,
15:15
and those post where when he does speak, we all go, oh
15:16
wow, okay, you can talk. We Sunday they see they do can
15:20
cut a promo. But it's just the way they booked him. On the
15:22
main level, It's like, Okay, he's just kind of a henchmit,
15:26
he's kind of a monster, and you know, most the crowds typically doesn't
15:31
respond to monsters who don't speak, so maybe that's why they're just kind of
15:35
looked at as you know, B and C guys instead of you know,
15:39
equal footing as to Row but or at least on that you know, in
15:43
that rage at least right now. Yeah, it's it's interesting, and I
15:48
think we're going to be talking a lot about room in here in the month
15:50
of February, especially hiding in a WrestleMania and his creative direction maybe becomes a
15:54
little bit clearer on Friday. But that's that's a really interesting twist as well,
16:00
which we'll obviously get to to here in a little bit. Next match
16:04
is Logan Paul defeating Kevin Owens by disqualification and retain the w United States Championship.
16:08
We both had Logan Paul getting the victory. Solid wrestling match and something
16:12
that really tested the innring ability of Logan Paul, which held up against one
16:15
of the best, and Kevin Owens. Kevin Owens throwing Logan Paul's plans to
16:19
use the brass knuckles only get caught before the three count was really well booked,
16:23
and I did love Pat mcafe's line about the referee of quote, now
16:27
you have twenty twenty vision end quote. I thought that was hilarious creative booking
16:33
and ending for this match, and Doctor Trey and I talked about it on
16:34
last week's show. We both predicted this match to be a WrestleMania match and
16:38
figured, well, that was not gonna happen. Now after this match with
16:41
the rumble, I feel like this may now be back on for WrestleMania.
16:45
Doctor Trey. Yeah, and you were right. You said Waller in Theory
16:48
would get involved and they did so. Yeah. Like, I'm on board
16:52
with this running out because I think this is Look, we all know Triple
16:56
Ah loves Kevin Owens and he typically does get big wrestle media moments, and
17:00
he's gotten in the last couple of years under the triplay to watch. I
17:03
mean, if you get a logan Paul Kevin Owen's WrestleMania match, who better
17:07
to represent the blue collar, you know, workingman America than Kevin Owens cutting
17:12
promos on social media and you know all the TV stuff they're going to do
17:17
leading up to wrestle media. Because if that's the route they go, he's
17:21
the right guy to have in that spot. So I love to finish because
17:25
there's something we don't see very often anymore. This was something that happened quite
17:29
a bit during the nineties and early two thousands when you and I were coming
17:32
up watching blutching the business the good guy. Typically when he cheats, he
17:36
gets away with it. This time he got caught. So it's a good
17:38
blueprint to kind of run this angle out longer if this is the wrestle media
17:42
path they go down, and where I'm on board for it. Next match
17:45
is Cody Rhodes winning the Men's Royal Rumble Match. I had the Rock Doctor
17:49
Trade CM Punk another great Royal Rumble match. I really enjoyed how long the
17:55
final four into the final two win. I don't recall them ever doing the
18:00
part of the rumbles for that long, it did feel like it could go
18:03
either way between Punk and Roads, but ultimately Cody Rhods wins and becomes the
18:07
first back to back winner since nineteen ninety eight when Stone Cold Steve Austin did
18:11
it. Now this begs the question will Cody Roads finished the store at restamenty
18:15
forty against the Manny point at the end of the rumble, pl Roman reigns.
18:18
We'll talk about that in a little bit, but Doctor Troy lots to
18:22
come out of this one. Nonetheless, Cody Rhoades wins it for back to
18:26
back years. Yeah, I thought it was a solid rumble. Maybe not
18:32
you know, upper echelon level rumbles we had to pass, but I thought
18:34
it was very solid and arguably kind of the safe rumble to have, you
18:41
know, some of the interactions and this rumble were great, and Cody getting
18:45
the way for people that kind of I don't know if you've heard this,
18:48
but I've heard who say like maybe that Cody isn't the future of WWE,
18:52
or maybe he's maybe since Vince left and Hunters took over, that he's not
18:56
being the same to do something to do win the rumble back to back for
19:00
the first time in twenty five years. Just shows you that they love this
19:03
guy, they have faith in this guy and this and somebody they're building the
19:04
future of this company around. So overall, for what it did, and
19:10
you know, I thought it was good. I will say I thought when
19:11
it came down to Punk and Cody, it maybe went a little long.
19:15
But I don't think that was Bookie's fault. I think Punk's kind of out
19:18
of shape and then apparently also injured, so it just kind of felt a
19:22
little long. But outside of that, overall just a very very solid rubble.
19:26
Yeah, the Punk stuff I think may be more to injury than being
19:30
out of shape, and maybe, you know, a little bit rusty because
19:33
I was like, man, he looks like when did hear he's out of
19:37
shape? And then you come to find out what happened to him, which
19:38
we'll cover here. Momentarily I was like, oh, that makes sense.
19:42
He looked a little chubby, Jericho, he did. He did look a
19:45
little heavy, but I think he's been putting on some size. I mean,
19:48
his shoulders have gotten really big since his aw run. Well, everybody
19:52
in WW seems to be getting bigger the last fourth, last few much look
19:56
at Randy and AJ and like, okay, all the other guys are seem
20:02
to be getting put on a little bit of muscle. I never thought i'd
20:03
hear Randy Orton laying at two seventy five by the land. I forgot to
20:07
mention that earlier. But that's that's the biggest wait I think I've ever heard
20:11
r Randy Orton technically weighs in more on the announcements than Kevin OHA's doing.
20:15
Interesting. Yeah, I know you're seeing a lot of guys put on a
20:18
lot of muscle lately. All right, pay per view prediction record. I
20:21
went three and one, Doctor Trey went two and two. It is the
20:22
first one of the year, Match of the night and event rating. I
20:29
gave the show a four point two. I really enjoyed the show. Is
20:32
a lot of fun, good evening of wrestling on a Saturday night. And
20:34
my match of the night was the Women's Royal Rumble. Doctor try really okay,
20:38
I went three point eight and my match of the night was the Men's
20:44
Rumble. So a little bit of different opinion there, ok And I wouldn't
20:48
have guessed that because you made it sound like it you didn't enjoy the match
20:51
all that much. Well, the women's match, I would say about the
20:56
middle of it, and I guess it is kind of what Ivy Nile,
21:00
Vaccine Duprix and those ones kind of got in the middle there. It was
21:03
not good. Like I'm literally watching like Bailey try to carry Vaccine Duprix around
21:07
the ring for the head scissors and the like this is. Yeah, some
21:11
of the girls you can kind of tell still aren't ready for prime time,
21:15
So that kind of I thought the I thought the last you know, ten
21:18
minutes OTHERWIS match was really good, but there was a middle section there that
21:22
was kind of bad. Yeah, I know what you're talking about, because
21:25
I felt that way too. And then it did pick itself up. I
21:27
felt like so and with the men's rumble, outside of Jimmy and Jay squaring
21:33
off, I just didn't feel like there were any like just great. I
21:38
mean, the broad Breaker appears. I thought broad Breaker looked fantastic. I
21:41
was going to bring that up. I felt like he was the breakout so
21:44
far of that match, and that was a short notice reportedly. Yeah,
21:48
but for for the most part, I thought the men's rumble was you know,
21:51
like I said, it was a solid Rumble. I just don't think
21:52
it's a great rumble, I guess so. To me, it was like
21:56
above average everywhere, like the Tires show. To me, it felt like
21:59
it was a of average, but just not as good as maybe some rumbles
22:03
of the past. All right, Interesting, Usually we're not that far apart
22:06
on ratings. I really thought the show was fantastic, So it's interesting.
22:10
Four point two for me, three point eight by Doctor Trey. I would
22:12
say that's probably one of the wider gaps we've seen in recent memory. Yeah,
22:17
I was usually we're with it. A point one or a point two
22:19
point four is kind of far off for us. All right, So coming
22:23
out of Royal Rumble, there is a lot of flux. And I don't
22:27
mean any offices of Stanford Cannetic here, which we will unfortunately have to cover
22:32
here. I'm going to talk about something that's a little bit more inclined to
22:36
what we typically talk about here on this week each week's edition of SRTU,
22:40
and that is the WRESTLEMANI forty cards. So it's in a bit of flux
22:44
right now, and I want to figure out a way for Doctor Trey and
22:48
I to fix this. So as CM Punk announce on Monday's Raw he suffered
22:56
a torn triceps during the Rumble match. Hears it happened during him receiving the
23:02
Future Shock DDT from Drew McIntyre. He is headed towards surgery. The belief
23:07
is that he will be out for four to six months. I also saw
23:11
September as a timeframe, which would put it at nine months as a potential
23:15
return for him. So on top of that, right now, you've got
23:22
Cody Rhodes at the end of the Rumble. He points to Roman Reins and
23:26
it seems like slam dunk. That's what they're gonna do. It's gonna be
23:30
Cody and Roman. Then obviously on Monday we get word like leading into Raw
23:36
that Punk was injured. I think that was like Monday afternoon. Then Punk
23:38
confirms it on Monday, as I just discussed. So punkin and Seth Rons
23:44
is not going to happen now at the Royal Rumble. Seth Ronds, who
23:48
was injured a couple of weeks ago, We've talked about his injury. His
23:52
status for the for Wrestmania is a little murky, but the expectation is he
23:57
will be there. He cuts a promo which makes a ton of sense from
24:00
a storyline standpoint where it's like, hey, don't forget about me. Also,
24:06
you know, consider me for your championship match Cody face me at WrestleMania,
24:11
which, if you take another step back, you're like, Okay,
24:12
this is interesting because if Cody is like, you know what, You're right,
24:17
I'm going to go after the Workhorse title. I'm going to take on
24:18
seth Rons at WrestleMania, there might be a slight bit of disappointment, but
24:22
then that slides in the rock to take on Roman Reigns at WrestleMania. Then
24:26
you have filled out both roles. But according to wrestle Votes, and we'll
24:33
get to this, we're kind of talking about this particular wrestler out of order
24:37
wrestle Votes tweeted on Monday or excuse me, Tuesday, between the Unfortunate Injury
24:45
to see Him Punk, No, this was Wednesday or Tuesday morning. Excuse
24:49
me. Wow, I can't get my days right, because it's like,
24:52
what the hell? Between the unfortunate Injury to see mpunk, the questionable status
24:56
of seth Rons, and the pulling of brock Less, which he has been
25:00
pulled due to the allegations set Forth about him and vinsick Man, which we
25:06
will talk about. The WRESTLEMANI card has took a sharp turn, so I
25:10
said, there are a number of brand new card variations on the table,
25:12
including some superstars who were not pegged towards the top just days ago. I'm
25:17
being told they will take their time to figure things out and just consider quote
25:21
just about everything, end quote. So the reports out there in regards to
25:26
Brock, who reportedly is now out of the rumble excuse me, out of
25:32
Wrestlemanian and was not in the rumble and bron Breaker took his spot, was
25:34
that he was going to take on Dominic Mystereo at Elimination Chamber and then take
25:40
on Gunther at WrestleMania, which is something Doctor Trey and I predicted. So
25:45
they're been saying, people saying, well, Punk's out, Brock's out,
25:49
do Gunther and Seth. You know, pitch that in an angle on the
25:53
last week's edition of Raw, previously heading into the Royal Rumbles. So a
25:59
couple of innerations here, Doctor Trey, you could go Cody Roman, you
26:02
could go Cody Seth, you could go Rock Roman, you could go Gunther
26:06
Seph because Punk Seth and gunther Brock is not happening now for Wrestmania forty.
26:11
It's in flux. There's a lot of balls in play. We're gonna be
26:15
out there on Friday. Cody's going to address who his selection is going to
26:19
be. Maybe he makes the announcement, maybe he carries it over again to
26:22
the next edition of Raw. What's the direction that you would take right now
26:26
if you're heading up w creative? How do you move forward with some of
26:29
the top matches at Wrestmania forty. Well, to me, it comes down
26:33
to whether or not you have the Rock and Play or not. Like to
26:37
me, that's and I don't know, we haven't really got a definitive answer
26:40
on this, because if the rocks on the table, you do Rock and
26:44
Roman. That's that's your super Bowl, that's your money match, that's your
26:48
Rock Sena for the previous generations. You have those two guys square off and
26:52
you're gonna get a ton of Poe buys and subscription buys for Peacock wherever long
26:57
you have it or whatever you want to do, and then you slide Cody
27:00
over to Seth. If you don't have Rock, then you do Cody and
27:06
Roman. And to me, you it would make sense to slide Gunther into
27:10
that spot and do you know workhorse champion versus workhorse air con mail champion basically
27:17
kind of almost like a winner takes all, like you know, kind of
27:18
like Hogan Warrior from Wrestlemedia five six, which I can't remember that for Hogan
27:26
and Warrior was six six. Yeah, so, but yeah, I would
27:30
do Rollins and Gunther because then if you have Gunther go over, now you
27:34
have a built and dominant champion on the raw brand to offset your dominant champion
27:41
on SmackDown. That that to me is the most logical thing because the one
27:45
thing I love I don't know about you. I loved Seth's promo with Cody
27:48
from Monday Night the one the one thing he left out is he should have
27:55
also sounded desperate to beat Cody. He could have. He could have also
27:56
played there and you're the only guy I haven't beat. I am ozer and
28:00
three against you, I need to beat you. You know, if he
28:04
had thrown that in there, alluding back to a Cody first debut and the
28:08
torn pectorial muscle, telling a sell match we all love, then that would
28:14
have added a little more gravitas to it. If that's the direction to go.
28:17
They go Okay, the crowd goes, oh, yeah, that makes
28:18
sense. Seth needs to be Cody because Cody Basy beat him with one arm
28:22
and hell of a cell. Yeah. It's It's interesting because I felt like
28:26
when Rumble went off the air, I was like, all right, well,
28:29
I guess we're not getting Rock Roman at Russell Manning, which I'm fine
28:32
with. I mean, this makes this makes sense to do the Cody because
28:36
if I'm Cody Rhodes, I want revenge. I want to finish my story
28:38
at Roman Reigns and then the punk stuff comes out and then they cut that
28:42
promo on Raw, which I agree with you. I thought the segment was
28:47
really well done and made a ton of sense. Seth coming out there and
28:51
saying like, hey, don't forget about me makes a ton of sense.
28:56
And I liked that they did that. I like they opened that door up,
28:57
They opened that door up for this opportunity. However, this reminds me
29:03
of the Ronda Rousey rumble win a couple of years ago that I was like
29:08
completely against because storyline said Ronda and at the time Becky Lynch was champion like
29:15
Ronda's been chasing Becky Lynch. That was the match we wanted to see time
29:19
and time again, and it was like this is this is it? Two
29:22
rivals and then she goes and they have her choose Charlotte Flair, which storyline
29:26
wise made zero sense to me unless w creative can really make this compelling and
29:33
interesting and give it a nice little plot twist. I still think as much
29:37
as that segment was really well done, and I like Seth's compassion plea to
29:42
be like, hey, choose me, it doesn't make sense for Cody Rhodes
29:47
to do that touch tray like he has to avenge that loss from thirty nine.
29:51
That's how you finish the story. And the lineage of the w Championship
29:55
which he is chasing is in that title. So maybe they're serving us a
30:00
little bit. Maybe they're, you know, trying to shift towards the direction
30:03
of Cody Seth. But ultimately, while Seth's point of view makes sense to
30:07
me, Cody going, you know what, you're right to Seth, I'm
30:11
gonna choose you and we're gonna go one on one at Wrestle many forty,
30:14
that doesn't make sense because then he would be dodging Roman reigns, which doesn't
30:17
make sense. And that's also why I think they missed out on the opportunity
30:22
to bring up their pass of Seth and Cody because Cody debuted at WrestleMania at
30:27
thirty eight against Seth and Seth lost. So as much as Cody wants to
30:33
finished his story, Seth could have been like, I need to finish mine.
30:37
You know, you ruined my WrestleMania at thirty eight. You beat me
30:41
two more times afterwards. I have to finish my story. If I want
30:45
to be the workhorse champion, I have to, you know, beat you
30:49
to show that I am the best. You know that I'm the best.
30:52
Norman, you know where you're chasing Roman, I'm chasing you. That to
30:56
me, I thought would have been just the extra layer on it. But
31:00
you know, if if Rock's not in the cars and Cody's you know,
31:03
and Cody chooses Roman, that sets up elimination Chamber to pick Seth's next challenger,
31:08
and then you could throw in McIntyre, Sammy Gunther, Uh, you
31:14
know, Jay and whoever else you want to throw into the mix, you
31:18
know, for that chamber match to get the chance to challenge Seth at wrestle
31:21
Media, and then you could have Gunther go over. Basically, if he
31:25
enters number one, beats everybody, much like Oscar did a few years ago.
31:27
And she got in there and I think she limited everybody in the chamber
31:30
match to get hersh out of the title. It makes a lot of sense
31:33
to go that round as well. So I just have this Kakamami idea hear,
31:38
And when it comes to the World have aweight Championship, are we in
31:41
agreement Cody needs to move forward with Roman or are you thinking Cody Seth?
31:45
I mean storyline wise, yeah, Cody needs to go off for Roman.
31:48
It makes the most sense to finish a story is to chase down the guy
31:52
that beat you last year. So we're making the idea that rightfully, so
31:59
that the gonna pick because they've done this last you know, God knows how
32:02
long. The eliminated chamber match is the way that you picked the next challenger
32:06
for the title that's not being challenged for or the Rumble winner hasn't selected for
32:09
WrestleMania forty. So will you presume that there's gonna be a World Away Championship
32:15
match? Why not? At this point Doctor Trey w w WEE does a
32:22
like to protect Seth with his injury, even a fatal four way match,
32:27
you do Seth, Gunther, Big Drew and Sammy Zain for the title at
32:32
WrestleMania forty. Yeah, you could. Or the other route is you have
32:39
the chamber or you have the chamber match. Because we still have mister Money
32:45
in the bank floating around too. You could do the four way. Damian
32:49
Priest comes in, cashes in in Australia and then wrestle Maya sets up whoever.
32:55
You think Seth should drop the title before Mania? Oh, I say,
33:00
and then you put him back into it, make it a three way.
33:02
Okay, So you're saying to say, face a little bit. Then
33:05
you do like Damien and Seth at WrestleMania. Yeah. Or and then if
33:10
you need a factor in somebody who wins the wins the chamber match. You
33:15
know you could. There's ways of time I'm trying to so, yeah,
33:19
they could do the chamber match and that person wins. Seth is defending the
33:22
title in Australia, Damien cashes in on Seth and then Seth demands to be
33:27
put in the match. Because let's just say Guntherer wins that match, so
33:30
then it's Damien versus Gunther. But then Seth's like, well, I want
33:35
to revoke my opportunity to get in there, then he gets in there.
33:38
I just feel like, unless WWE wants to move forward with putting the championship
33:43
on Gunther, he's not going to take the pin. So I'm with you
33:47
right now. I would take I would take Punk the Punk, Seth,
33:52
Gunther Brock. It's not happening, So take Seth, take Gunther. If
33:55
you did one on one, that would be an epic match. But unless
33:59
you're putting the title on Gunther for a period of time, then I would
34:02
look towards doing a triple threat or a Fatal four way, or maybe you
34:07
pull a WrestleMania thirty one on the Gunther Seth match and then you know,
34:14
towards the end Damien cash is in. You could It's interesting, you could
34:20
have the fatal four wheel, like you talked about Damien cashing in and doing
34:23
basically heisting sets title from him. Yeah, pulling the WrestleMania thirty one on
34:29
pulling the Heights of the Century on the guy who pulled the Heights on the
34:31
Century exactly it's interesting. I mean, it's it makes it fun as a
34:37
wrestling fan to figure this stuff out. I just wish it was a little
34:39
bit more cut and dry, Like I wish we were sitting here this week
34:43
going Cody Roman slam Dunk. I guess they're not going to do Rock Roman
34:46
and then obviously they're gonna do Punk Seth and I think that would have been
34:50
a lot of fun. Is Damien has to cash in before July? Yes,
34:53
the bank is is July, yep yep so, and by WrestleMania that's
34:58
April. So if he doesn't cash in, that only gives them a two
35:01
month window. And if you're gonna pull a title change, like if you
35:04
rot pull up Strift, let's say gun thor Win. Let's say they do
35:07
Gunther Staff gun their wins. Are you gonna have Damian Cashion on gun Thro
35:10
Between WrestleMania and money in the bank, it doesn't make sense that cash it
35:15
has to come either in Australia or in or at WrestleMania. Yeah, and
35:20
I think Bash at Berlin is in late August. I think like August thirty
35:23
first, and I just have the feeling that GUNTHERER is either going to be
35:25
walking into that show as the World of a Weight Champion or he's walking in
35:30
as the challenger for the World of a Weight Championship match, that would make
35:35
the most sense to me. Yeah, especially if they want to show something
35:37
European that can look. It's not gonna beat all In or Wembley. As
35:42
far as tenants record, I don't think that. No, no, no,
35:44
no no. They're in a much considerably less arena as well. But
35:47
if you can pull forty like look, Cardiff was not attendance wise what Wembley
35:53
Stadium was, but that was one of the most rocking venues that we have
35:58
seen on television. If you know, you pull the same thing off in
36:00
Berlin, that just shows Yeah, you guys can draw eighty thousand in London,
36:05
but you know, we actually still hold the europe mark. So we'll
36:08
see where things are going here with the top men's matches and on the women's
36:13
side. It still looks to me Doctor Trey to be going Eo Bailey,
36:17
Ria Becky and Bianca car Gil That's how I look at it right now.
36:23
Yeah, those would be by if I was picking. Well, I still
36:27
think that I still think Naya gets factored in somewhere. Well, I think
36:30
they're doing the Ria Naya match for Perth Australia, so that Rhea goes into
36:35
that because she she was looking like a babyface on Monday's Raw. I mean,
36:38
she is a full blown heel, but she's getting beat down by another
36:42
heel and getting babyface sympathy reaction. They're getting her ready for Perth Australia for
36:47
homecoming there. I think they might do a triple threat with them with Ria,
36:52
Becky and Naya, since that makes sense because I mean, you got
36:58
Naya the Naya Beckay Robert because you saw that at the end of the rumble,
37:00
like but then but then you presumably got the elimination chamber as well.
37:05
Yeah, so, but I mean I still think that you can still Like
37:08
Becky gets her shot, but then Naya comes out and basically squashes both of
37:12
them. She demands it and both the women go, yeah, we want
37:15
you as match too. So there's also return and Live Morgan out there as
37:19
well. She's been rumored to potentially have an opportunity. But do you think
37:23
Eo Bailey is happening and do you think Bianca Cargill is happening? I think
37:28
Eo Bailey is definitely happening. I just don't know what they're gonna do with
37:32
Jade yet because she kind of worked as a babyface in that match in the
37:36
rumble, like she's the one whatever Naya eliminated Naya. You know, Becky
37:39
turned her back on her and she didn't eliminate Becky in that moment, So
37:44
that could have been a very healthy to do. And if Jane's a babyface
37:47
and they just turned the profits lastly group with a babyface. So I don't
37:52
know if you can do Bianca and Jake straight up one on one if you're
37:57
trying to establish I think I could. I think you could do babyface babyface
38:00
in this one. I think they might do Bianca and Jade against like in
38:05
the tag if they do the women's tag team gauntlet thing you might throw.
38:08
Do you think that would be the like the WrestleMania debut, it's pot I
38:13
think they're I don't think that's a good idea. Well, you need something
38:17
for you know, Osca and Kyrie to do, and like why like those
38:22
are two dominant women, Like do you want to see the Kabuki Warriors against
38:27
Piper and Chelsea again or against Kai Ni Kaitana or do you want to see
38:30
Osca and Kyrie against Bianca and Jake. I prefer to see Bianca versus Jade.
38:37
Well, yeah, I'm not. I'm not thinking that. I think
38:38
you need to go into like I think we're forgetting that while she was green,
38:44
obviously she's been training, she's been training at the PC, she's been
38:46
training with Natalia enticing kid. I would hope Jade is ready to go for
38:52
a singles match at WRESTLEMANI against Bianca. Yeah, I don't think you do
38:58
that spot at WrestleMania or because in the Royal Rumble match if there wasn't some
39:01
sort of plan between those two, but it wasn't really anything more than like
39:07
it was more like a mutual respect spot at the Rumble. It wasn't like
39:10
the crowd got loud they want to see it. I just I typically I
39:15
know how WD likes to do these things, and they might save it for
39:19
forty one. You know, God, that'd be nuts. Man, you
39:22
think so well, I'm not saying they go together the entire so well over
39:25
a year. Yeah, I just I don't know, because once again you
39:29
have to establish because of the law, you have to establish Jane as a
39:34
heel between now and WrestleMania. But I don't think you need to establish her
39:37
as a heel. That's what they don't. Why can't you do if we're
39:43
doing heel versus heel with Rihan and Naya, why can't they do a baby
39:46
face baby face at WrestleMania because you forget Riya is not a heel in Australia.
39:52
She's gonna get a baby face real. I mean, I know,
39:54
of course, I don't forget I said that, but that's what they're doing
39:57
on on television. Yeah, like she works as a as a heel in
40:01
the US. Yeah, I know, you're right. It's a tough call.
40:08
No, I see them, I can see them doing it, but
40:09
I also know, like, hey, we also have there's there is a
40:14
limited number of matches we can do, so we may have to you know,
40:16
that's when we get four ways in three ways and stuff that wrestling,
40:20
and sometimes they kind of get everybody on the card, so hey, maybe
40:22
you have them work together and then you know, I guess Kyrie and EO
40:27
and then they get a little run as tag team champions, they have a
40:30
breakup and then let's not forget they just brought back Naomi and Live Morgan as
40:36
well, so I would imagine that they're involved in the WrestleMania fold at some
40:39
level. Maybe they're this mixed mash tag team. I did feel like at
40:44
one time, when it was starting to look like maybe Sasha Banks was coming
40:47
back to w WE, that the direction would have been Bailey and Sasha reuniting
40:52
to take on the Kabuki Warriors at WrestleMania. But it would appear that she
40:55
is aw bound, and obviously they've they gone the direction of Bailey being out
41:00
on her own to take on EO in the Wrestlemanium main event. I think
41:05
I think we'll get some clarity up Friday, like, oh yeah, no,
41:07
it's it's gonna get clear here if we if we, if Jade shows
41:10
up on back Down, we get some clarity as to what her character is,
41:14
because we really haven't had other than her, you know, those pop
41:17
ups once she first signed. We really haven't had any clarity on what the
41:22
Jade Cargill character is going to be going forward. It sounds very similar to
41:25
the a W one. I mean that that theme song was like nearly identical.
41:30
Yeah, I mean did they did they just I don't know who many.
41:32
I don't know if if Mikey made that one or if that was something
41:37
they could license, because it was really really close. It was very very
41:40
close. So this is what the fun time of the year is is like
41:43
looking at the card, especially after the Rumble, and like figuring out what
41:45
they're going to do because you see a bunch of tea leaves. There's obviously
41:50
the unfortunate injury stuff. There's the allegations that with Vince mcman, John Laurnidis
41:54
and allegedly brock Lessener that we'll talk about here. So there's a lot of
41:59
things that have kind of turned the WRESTLEMANI card upside down. And as a
42:02
wrestling fan, that's what makes it fun to figure out, Okay, what
42:06
does WWE do next? Because this is this is one of the only shows
42:09
that you could really sit out like two months from now and look at it
42:14
and go, all right, how they got to build this out? Because
42:15
that's what makes it really intriguing in fun, because hell, it's it's fucking
42:20
WrestleMania. And I always knew with these conversations that we have coming out of
42:23
shows like the Rumble and this will be something that we talk about week to
42:27
week. I mean, it's only a matter of time before we start giving
42:30
our WrestleMania card update updates here on each week's edition to the show as matches
42:35
are announced, and becoming a little bit more official and fine tune as the
42:38
weeks go on towards WrestleMania forty, which I'm also digging that they're back giving
42:44
Roman numerals again, which reported the events, was against calling the WrestleMania like
42:49
thirty six, thirty seven, thirty eight, what have you, because I
42:52
think at one time the report was that he made it sound like it made
42:54
it sound like WRESTLEMANI was too old, and I was like, that's absolutely
42:58
absurd. But that's that is one finsic man speaking of one vincic man,
43:04
doctor Dray. By this point, everybody has heard, read, seen the
43:07
news about the sexual assault sex trafficking allegations that were levied by former w employee
43:15
named Janelle Grant towards vincick man John Larnidis. Several WA executives that were not
43:22
named were implicated in it. A former UFC champion, which we would all
43:28
believe is brock Lesner, was alleged into it. Very very serious allegations being
43:34
levied at vincick Mann. We're not going to like pick apart the lawsuit because
43:37
at this point it's nearly a week later, and I think everybody knows about
43:40
at this point, it is a massive black eye on WWE right now.
43:47
If these allegations are deemed to be true, it's extremely disgusting, it's deplorable.
43:54
We would ruin any type of legacy Vincent Man ever had because of the
44:00
type of allegations that are being in levied against him. If there's a remote
44:05
opportunity for any of this to be true. It did lead to him resigning
44:09
from W and TKO on Friday night, actually during SmackDown. This is the
44:15
first time since the nineteen fifties that a member of the McMahon family hasn't been
44:20
involved with the wrestling organization, going back to vincick Man's grandfather, doctor Trey.
44:25
I read the lawsuit, actually I read all like sixty pages and it's
44:30
insane to read. You know, there's a bunch of spark notes out there.
44:37
Your thoughts on these allegations and vincick Man resigning from W and TKO,
44:40
I mean, the allegations are absolutely horrible I don't know. I hate commenting
44:51
on this type of stuff because like, I don't like lawsuits like this because
44:55
a they're civil lawsuits and they're not criminal lawsuits. Because to me, it's
45:01
if it's when it's labeled sex trafficking, that's criminal, that's somebody who should
45:07
be arrested and thrown in jail. When it's a civil situation like this,
45:10
it's labeled sex trafficking, yet there were payments and gifts involved that it just
45:15
it makes it sound dirty and in scheming, but it's it almost gives sex
45:21
trafficking like it almost diminishes what actual sex trafficking is in a sense, I
45:28
guess. And then that's kind of my take on it. Like to me,
45:30
this is something between two adults that got passed around the office, and
45:37
that's in it self horrible and gross. But when it was coming out as
45:40
like sex, I don't know. If I saw a report like Bismic man
45:44
name in sex traffic lawsuit, I was like, dear God, is that
45:46
what the Saudi Arabian Talians are? And like is there something they find something
45:51
going on between WWE and the Saudi princess? And then I read this,
45:54
I'm like Oh, okay, it's a different thing. I just I didn't
46:00
like the way it was labeled. But as far as like as a publicly
46:05
trading company and having this going on behind the scenes is you know, atrocious
46:09
and deplorable. But I really hate it the way it was kind of put
46:14
out into the media before you actually read the actual litigation part of it.
46:19
Yeah, it's important to read the lawsuit obviously, for everybody to go out
46:22
there then make your own judgments. But this is obviously a very big black
46:28
eye, and I don't know, I don't enjoy talking about these things.
46:32
We don't want to turn a blind eye to them. But again, they
46:35
are allegations, and there is innocent improvement until proven guilty. If they are
46:39
deemed to be true. It's a deplorable situation and there's going to be a
46:45
huge rift in culture change in we and maybe they're already doing that right now.
46:50
But yeah, it's something we need to talk about here. You can't
46:53
turn a blind eye on it. And not a great situation obviously, and
46:58
we'll continue to all this as it moves forward. I'm sure, just like
47:01
any lawsuit, it'll take some time to bubble back up again. But it's
47:07
it's out in the face of the public eye right now and definitely cast it
47:09
a dark cloud, as Cody Rhoades said in the Post Royal Rumboldt press conference
47:15
over the entire weekend, and everything good W has been doing lately and hopefully
47:19
as a entertainment tament brand and as a company that can move forward a little
47:22
bit here and continue to just themselves from fitzsick Man, should this all be
47:29
deemed true, and like I said, we'll continue to keep an eye on
47:31
it as this story develops. With that said, let's give our preview predictions
47:37
for NXT Vengeance Day. It comes to us this Sunday from the F and
47:42
M Bank Arena in Clarksville, Tennessee. Doctor Trey, that that's kind of
47:46
in your neck of the woods, right, Yeah, Clarksville's is actually only
47:50
a couple hours away from me, So that was kind of like I didn't
47:52
know it was literally about like it was Saturday when I actually found out that
47:58
an excuse me, I mean Clarkswell, like man, I mean there's a
48:00
lot of people that run inby shows up in that area, so I'm not
48:04
sure how big the venue is, but uh, it's Tennessee. We they
48:08
love wrestling at Tennessee and they'll they'll pack it out, so uh looking forward
48:12
to to how it's presented, and hopefully they present clarks You know, we
48:16
get these really cool shots of like Saint Petersburg in in Los Angeles at Miami
48:22
with the droll coverage. I don't know what they're going to shoot in Clarksville
48:25
to make it look good interesting. Okay, that's good to know. Yeah,
48:30
here's here's the local Wendy's there. Yeah all right, here's here's the
48:35
Walmart. Yeah, yeah, it's uh, I'm gonna be keeping a close
48:38
eye on that. Now. Well, I'm just gonna this is all about
48:43
education. But you know, uh, you know I told you off air,
48:45
like I've actually headed to Memphis this week, you know, this week,
48:47
so that would be fun. So uh, we'll be able to like
48:51
maybe I can get some better shots, uh, and I can sell them
48:53
to WB and be like, hey, so this is not Clarksville, but
48:57
most people don't know where Clarksville is. So just use these, just just
49:00
do like random photos and post it on your Instagram or for Twitter and tag
49:06
w W and say hey, use this for your you know, package for
49:08
Clarksville, and it's like, I don't know a rest stop. What's those?
49:13
What's those big uh like rest stops down south? Puppies, BUCkies?
49:17
Yes? Have you not been to one? Debt? No? Haven't we
49:21
talked about this? I didn't. No, I didn't know you had not
49:23
been. No, they don't have them up my way. It's like the
49:25
closest is is well down in maybe like the New Jersey Delaware area. If
49:31
you go like when you go to Florida, there's one, Like when you
49:35
head down ninety five. There's actually one on ninety five when you cross from
49:37
North Carolina South Carolina, so there'll be one on your path if you drive
49:42
down, if you fly down, you're on your drive down, take the
49:45
scenic drive on I ninety five. You'll pass at least one, if not
49:50
two, on your way down the floor. I heard their life changing?
49:52
Would you agree? The It's it's kind of like it's like walmarts in the
49:58
Northeast are different than they are the South, Like they're a little smaller,
50:00
little more condensed. It's like the first time you walk into a superseder or
50:04
you walk into a super target, like it's like, WHOA, this is
50:09
really amazing, Like it's just there's just a lot of everything. I mean
50:14
there's literally like the one like there's two in Alabama now and there's literally like
50:17
forty eight to sixty gas pumps at one. Wow. It's just it's massive.
50:22
Yeah, I'm sure when people heard me say, like, let's get
50:24
to our NXC vengeance Previeus predictions, they did not think we were gonna get
50:28
do in this rabbit hole. But here we are. I'll try to steer
50:30
it back on the tracks. Here I will say, at least I didn't
50:32
start singing. Take the last train to Clarksville and I'll meet you at the
50:36
station. We'll say that. We'll say that for the end of the show.
50:38
Show first match here is die Jack taking on Joe Gasey in a no
50:43
disqualification match. This has been kind of a little fun minifew they've been doing
50:46
on NXC, and nonetheless, I'm gonna take Joe Gasey here. I've really
50:50
enjoyed his character development on NXC the last couple of weeks. Yeah, I've
50:52
been trying to figure out what they're doing with Joe Gazy, says the diead
50:55
less and then am I became GM like left him, but I did like
51:01
him coming out of the dumpster spot on NXT, so I'm taking Joe Gacy
51:06
as well. Next match here is the Family taken on OTM and a six
51:09
person mixed tag team match, Doctor Trey. Who do you like this one?
51:14
Uh? Since the titles aren't on the line, I'm gonna take OTM
51:16
to kind of establish them. And I'm still trying to figure out the mud
51:21
that they're getting out of the explained that yet they have not they I think
51:25
it's just like a social analogy that, like the Mud is trying to get
51:31
out of the like where they grew up. Okay, I'll go with that
51:36
one. I'll ask my friends, I'll ask please, please do Yeah,
51:39
We're down with it. Doctor Trey and I. I had a tough one
51:44
picking this one. I wanted to take OTM, but I'm gonna go with
51:45
the Family because OTM has kind of gotten the best of them as of late.
51:51
Next match is ob defend the NX North American Championship against Dragon Lee.
51:54
I'm gonna take obafeming Doctor Trey. Yeah, I'm a huge fan of Oba
51:59
faming this. He might be the most dominant like athlete we've seen in quite
52:02
some time, Like he's got you know, the bron Breaker brock Lesner type,
52:07
you know, attributes. We're like, yeah, this guy's gonna be
52:09
a huge star. And I like putting in the imagine the smaller guy because
52:14
it still makes him look larger than life. So I'll take Oba Femmy as
52:15
well. Yeah, Oba Femi looks like he's gonna be a good wrestler.
52:17
Man, He's he's got that in factor. Next match is Lyra Vikiia defend
52:23
the NAC Women's Championship against Roxanne Perez. I had a tough time picking this
52:28
one as well, Doctor Trey, who do you like in this one?
52:31
Yeah, I've kind of gone back and forth on this one because I mean,
52:34
I don't know about you. I kind of feel like Roxanne deserves the
52:37
belt back after the weird way she kind of lost it. But I mean
52:39
you also had Lyra beat Becky Lynch to win it, and her reign's only
52:44
been a couple of months, So I think I'm I think I'm gonna go
52:46
with Lyra to retain because Roxanne is getting kind of a little bit of you
52:51
know, we start at the row Bull. She's been on there a couple
52:52
of times. I think she might get moved up, so I'll take a
52:55
Lira to retain. I'm gonna go with Roxanne Perez winning the NXC Women's Championship
53:01
because I think Taam Pasley gets involved and accidentally costs Lyra Vakiri in the match.
53:07
This is a tough one to call. NXX shows are always very tough
53:09
to call, so and they take and press. You can also circle back
53:14
and bring into Blair devonport Angle as well, because I don't think Blair and
53:15
Lyra are done either, So there youre true. Next match is Baron Corbin
53:21
and Bron Breaker taking on Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams and the Men's Dusty Roads
53:23
Tag Team Classic Finals. I'm gonna take Baron, Corben and Bron Breaker in
53:28
this one. Doctor Trey, Yeah, I with it. Baron needs something,
53:31
hasn't won anything that's money in the bank, so and I love their
53:37
dynamic. I don't know if this this is a long term tag team,
53:39
but they love doing mixed match, you know tag team wins. I mean,
53:43
hell some Mo with Joe and Finn Balor won this thing one year,
53:45
So I'm taking Broad and Baron as well. And then finally, Elia Dragon
53:49
Off defends the NXC Championship against Trick Williams Doctor Trey. Who do you like
53:52
in this one? Uh, Trick may be the hottest wrestler in all of
53:59
w B right now. But with that being said, I think the money
54:01
is still gonna be in Carmelo and Trick going at it. I think all
54:06
Carmelo blames Trick for losing in the Dusty Roads Finals, he gets involved,
54:09
leaving Elia to retain it. So I'm taking Ilia Dragon Off to retain I
54:14
am with you, Doctor Trey. I'm gonna take Elia Dragon Off retaining the
54:16
NXC Championship, and I think they obviously we agree that they will lose the
54:21
Man's Dusty Road Tag Team Classic, which then leads to Carmelo Hayes getting involved
54:24
in this match one way or another, whether it's trying to help out Trick
54:30
and costing the match or he turns on Trick and costing the match. So
54:32
both of us taking Elia Dragon Off to retain the NXC Championship, and we
54:37
will recap and review this nx Vengees State pay per view on the next edition
54:42
of SRT on February eighth. With that said, let's close up shop on
54:45

54:49

55:09
being said, what is going on in the one for world of Doctor Trey
55:13

55:27
Wrestley, the two shows I work with in the state. You can also
55:30
check out pictures and videos for both those shows. By the way, we
55:34
didn't recap Samy's picks. By the way, Sammy Franklin picked two people to
55:38
win the Rubble who did not even get in the Rumble. So yeah,
55:43
Brock Lesner, Nicky Cross, Yeah continues Yep, no, yeah, I
55:50
can't believe Nikki Cross and make the rumbo man. I completely forgot that because
55:52
that would have been a slam dunk that you would have been in it.
55:54
Obviously, the stuff with Brock that took place last week clearly changed directions.
56:00
Back in the old Wheelhouse Bower Show days that tray, we would call this
56:04
the touch of duty, and that's what it sounds like young Sammy Franklin has
56:07
when it comes to picking the Royal Rumble winners each year, because they clearly
56:12
don't even make the match. Fun show, good way to start kicking off
56:15
the road to WrestleMania forty. We'll have a lot more on the WrestleMania forty
56:20
card as we move forward again, we will recap interview NXDVENG should say and
56:23
if anything else that goes on in the world professional wrestling, like because at
56:27
Jo Kata effective today is a free agent. We were recording this just before
56:32
his free agency runs out in New Japan and who knows by the time this
56:36
show drops, maybe he's already signed. Maybe a week from now we talk
56:38
about where he is signed. So a lot of fun times going on the
56:42
world Professional Wrestling until next week for Doctor Trey Franklin. I'm Jeff Pack.
56:46
This is this is still real. Those show
