Transcript
- 0:00The price of gold and silver will absolutely skyrocket even
- 0:05further than they did just Friday of last week when the
- 0:08Federal Reserve officially pivots on their monetary policy.
- 0:13What could be the spark to make that happen?
- 0:17This huge rally that we're going to see in the silver price and
- 0:21gold price? We're going to talk to the ex
- 0:24CEO of Walmart and hear from him some incredibly scary news that
- 0:31specifically relates to the health of the US economy.
- 0:35Real news, guys, Not stuff from the Bureau of Labor in
- 0:39Statistics. This is the real news from the
- 0:42Street that tells us what is going on.
- 0:45And it's critical we understand that as we develop our thesis
- 0:49behind the fact that the Fed will indeed pivot and that we
- 0:51will indeed see silver and gold prices like many of us cannot
- 0:57imagine. But we're also going to listen
- 0:59to the other end of the spectrum, a small entrepreneur
- 1:04who shares a story of heartache, more startling news about what's
- 1:09going on right now on the street in the US economy, from the
- 1:14biggest retailer in the world to the smallest of small small
- 1:19business owner, a guy who's probably more like you and me,
- 1:23What is he telling us that's going on?
- 1:25And how does this all fit together within the big broad
- 1:29context that we have? Massive, massive geopolitical
- 1:34turmoil in the world right now. What's that all gonna mean for
- 1:39the silver price and gold price? Also, what about the general
- 1:42markets? You may have some money invested
- 1:45in the stock market. Hold on, Excuse me, I have my
- 1:51mute button. Now that I'm back in the
- 1:52basement, you may, you may have some money invested in the stock
- 1:57market. Are we going to see a crash in
- 1:59the stock market? I'm going to tell you about one
- 2:02big reason why I think that is a possibility.
- 2:06However, we'll also look at the other side of the coin and
- 2:09what's going on with the Fed and how the Fed will likely react.
- 2:12This is fascinating stuff, guys. We are living in a period of
- 2:16change right now like no other, that we've been alive and I
- 2:21don't. We don't want to be, we don't
- 2:22want to be doom and gloomers, but we do want to be realist.
- 2:27And that's what we're here to do.
- 2:28Be real in the basement right now, please.
- 2:31Give this a thumbs up. That would be really nice of
- 2:34you. That'd be a nice thing, the way,
- 2:35good way to start your Sunday morning.
- 2:37Give this video a thumbs up. That helps you make a
- 2:41difference, and it helps get the word out to more and more
- 2:45people. OK.
- 2:46It really works. And I appreciate you.
- 2:48I appreciate you being here. Do you shop at Walmart?
- 2:52I do from time to time. I'm not a big fan of Walmart.
- 2:55Those big giant stores are a little, I don't know, maybe I'm
- 2:58just a sensitive Sally, but they got them a little bit
- 3:00overwhelmed when I go into like a giant Home Depot or a Lowe's
- 3:05or a Walmart, per SE. But we have to recognize Walmart
- 3:09is the largest retailer in the world.
- 3:12We got some crazy news we're going to dig into and we're
- 3:15going to talk about what it means from their ex CEO.
- 3:18Let me read this to you. The almighty American consumer
- 3:23who's spending drives the economy, is reaching a breaking
- 3:27point and is on the verge of folding, according to former
- 3:32Walmart CEO Bill Simon. He says the consumer in the
- 3:37United States is on the verge of folding.
- 3:39Collapsing however you want to say it, right, that's going to
- 3:42make make the economy suffer horribly.
- 3:46That's going to make our friend Jerome Power.
- 3:48To the United States Federal Reserve pivot, right when the
- 3:52economy really starts to crash, and are we in that phase right
- 3:56now? Are we in the beginning?
- 3:58Of the crash phase, we're going to find out, Let's read a little
- 4:01more, Mr. Simon told CNBC in a recent interview.
- 4:06That a series of factors political polarization, Would
- 4:11you say that's the fact? Our politicians not only do not
- 4:17only do we have a bunch of cruddy politicians, but on top
- 4:20of it the double wing dinger zinger is they don't get along.
- 4:25It's bad enough they're crooks. And incompetent.
- 4:29Not all of them, but most of them.
- 4:31It's bad enough, but the incompetent crooked politicians
- 4:36can't even get along with each other.
- 4:38They could probably fleece the American public even more if
- 4:41they did get along with each other.
- 4:42Anyway, I digress. There's a series of factors.
- 4:46Political polarization. We discovered that inflation.
- 4:50Oh, do you think? And high interest rates.
- 4:53So those three things. Political polarization,
- 4:57inflation and high interest rates.
- 4:59Not important enough that you need to write that down.
- 5:01But those three big factors were all working together to
- 5:05undermine consumers and their propensity to spend.
- 5:11I think another propensity is a pretty big word, their
- 5:14likelihood to spend. Here's a quote that sort of pile
- 5:20up wears on the consumer and makes them wary, Mr. Simon told
- 5:25the outlet. For the first time in a long
- 5:28time, there's a reason for the consumer to pause.
- 5:33So the consumers are pausing consumer spending.
- 5:36This is, this is the critical key for you to understand
- 5:40consumer spending is a major driver of the US economy.
- 5:45Accounting for roughly 2/3 of gross domestic product, consumer
- 5:51spending accounts for 2 thirds, 66.6% of the US economy.
- 6:00The consumer and what is he telling us?
- 6:03What are the what? What's Target telling us?
- 6:05What's Lowe's telling us? What are the casual dining
- 6:08restaurants telling us? That things are slowing down,
- 6:11guys. That's 2/3 of the US economy.
- 6:15That's a majority. That's a big chunk.
- 6:17That's that's a big deal. No matter how you want to slice
- 6:21it or dice it, that is not a good sign for what's going on
- 6:25right now in the US economy. Mr. Simon, who now serves on the
- 6:29board of directors for Darden Restaurants, they own every one
- 6:32of those casual dining, Olive Garden type places you see and
- 6:35hands brains said that after a long period of cheap money cut
- 6:40short by the Federal Reserve's rapid rate hikes in response to
- 6:45soaring inflation, consumers are now beginning to buckle.
- 6:49Are you buckling? Let me ask you, I'm buckling.
- 6:53I'll be the first to admit I'm buckling.
- 6:55You know, Susie and I, we used to go out for lunch once a week.
- 6:59Now it would drive her crazy 'cause I do work in the
- 7:02evenings. It would drive her crazy that we
- 7:04would go out to lunch. Even during the best of economic
- 7:06times, I would always get irritated when she would order a
- 7:09Diet Coke because I was like why spend $3 on a Diet Coke when you
- 7:13could go buy 3 two liter bottles at the grocery store.
- 7:17But she always wanted that Diet Coke.
- 7:19You know, now instead of going out once a week and and she she
- 7:23would get mad about that and I would too.
- 7:25But finally, I just gave in and said get your damn darn diet
- 7:27Cokes. Thank you, Daniel.
- 7:29You're welcome, my friend. Now.
- 7:31We don't go out. Do you go out to eat?
- 7:33We don't go out to eat as much. I think about going out to
- 7:35lunch, like the last time we went to lunch, I'll be honest
- 7:38with you, I need to take Susie out to lunch.
- 7:39But anyway, we went out to lunch.
- 7:41Like, I remember this new Mexican restaurant by our house,
- 7:44by the mall. And it was not a fancy place.
- 7:48And it was the food was decent, Good.
- 7:50You know it's one of those Mexican places, right?
- 7:52I like, I do like Mexican food. I eat a lot.
- 7:54Of chips and salsa. Nonetheless, the bill.
- 7:57The total bill when we were done was like $32.
- 8:00By the time I paid a tip, I'm like, this isn't worth $32, you
- 8:04know, is the consumer buckling? Are people trading down with
- 8:10food with goods? Are are people for going buying
- 8:14a new set of underwear every year Because they're like, well,
- 8:16my old underwear will last another, I don't know, all kinds
- 8:19of stuff, yes. They are.
- 8:21Is there a reason why we're seeing a big drop in shipper
- 8:25shipping containers coming into the United States?
- 8:28You know, later today? I'm going to a big family
- 8:30reunion. I have a cousin, I got a cousin.
- 8:33I'm in Missouri, we got, I got all kinds of cousins.
- 8:36I got like 18,000 cousins and I'm going to see one of my
- 8:40cousins and most of them are very successful.
- 8:43One of them is an executive with a big worldwide shipping
- 8:45company, I mean a high level executive.
- 8:47I'm going to grab him. I'm going to say you tell me
- 8:50what you're seeing out there, OK, and I'll report that back to
- 8:54you tomorrow because we know shipping volumes and now we know
- 8:56the truckers. My heart goes out to the
- 8:59truckers. They're entrepreneurs.
- 9:00A lot of them, they're hurting. Their volumes are down.
- 9:04The rates they're getting paid, right are they're getting,
- 9:06they're getting the screws put to them.
- 9:08I mean, all the real data says everything's slowing down.
- 9:11Now we got the CEO of Walmart saying there's Walmart.
- 9:15I know Coin Shop Chris loves going to Walmart, all right,
- 9:19because they got the best prices on Ding Dongs.
- 9:22Even the price of Ding Dongs are up anyway.
- 9:25OK, here's another quote and we're almost done with this.
- 9:29Then we're going to move on. Consumers had an incredible 10
- 9:33or 12 year run, he told CNB CS Fast Money program.
- 9:38Markets were buoyant, interest rates were low and money was
- 9:43available. And guys, all of that is
- 9:46changing right now. Thank you Mike, for the Super
- 9:49chat, my friend. Super appreciated.
- 9:52Always. Always.
- 9:53Never. Expected, but a super nice treat
- 9:56and I got to ring the. We got to 100 thumbs up.
- 10:02Those are the church bells. I was going to say Ron's
- 10:05basement Sunday morning church, but I'm not purporting that I'm
- 10:08any type of church. Whatever religion you like to
- 10:11practice is up to you. This is not a political or
- 10:13religious show. But on Sunday morning, what the
- 10:16heck, I'll call them the church. Anyway, when we get to 200
- 10:19thumbs up, and I know you can do it, we're going to ring.
- 10:22We're going to ring. We're going to ring.
- 10:24We're going to ring. What are we going to ring at
- 10:25200? I keep.
- 10:26I'm having a mental block. What do I do at 200 thumbs up?
- 10:32Oh God. Yeah, I was forgetting that when
- 10:35I was in Toronto as well. I'm going to ring the cowbell
- 10:3953, man, I got a couple wires loose.
- 10:43You ever get that feeling? A lot of you are around my age
- 10:45anyway. But now here's the last
- 10:48sentence. And I'm done with Walmart.
- 10:50We're done talking about Walmart.
- 10:52If you go to Walmart today, it might be because you were
- 10:54subliminally programmed by watching Ron's basement this
- 10:58morning. If you do go to Walmart, you're
- 11:00likely going to spend less because now the music has
- 11:03stopped and the party is grinding to a halt.
- 11:08OK, this is from CNBC. The party is over, guys.
- 11:13The easy money party. The Petro dollar, right?
- 11:17The ability of the United States of America to borrow as much
- 11:21money as they wanted from the rest of the world because they
- 11:25were forced to use dollars for trade.
- 11:27So everybody. Had a lot of dollars.
- 11:30The party's. Over the party's over.
- 11:34They printed. They printed into Infinity.
- 11:38The hen has come home to roost. What does that mean for silver
- 11:42and gold? We are sitting pretty, in my
- 11:45opinion. Do not make any financial
- 11:47decisions based upon anything that I say today.
- 11:50But I believe that we are sitting pretty.
- 11:54If you hold silver. If you hold gold.
- 11:56If you hold precious metals mining stocks, they're a little
- 11:59different, right, because they can be impacted by the general
- 12:02markets. But none the less, in the long
- 12:05run, I believe precious metal mining stock holders are sitting
- 12:08pretty as well. Absolutely, absolutely.
- 12:13No doubt about it, OK? Because the economy is grinding
- 12:19to a halt. We don't like it.
- 12:21We didn't 'cause it. We did nothing else.
- 12:23It's just the reality of what's going on.
- 12:26The system will not survive without the Federal Reserve and
- 12:30Jerome. Powell, our old friend Jerome,
- 12:33who is one day he's going to be a guest here in the basement.
- 12:36Don't you worry. And you can say Ryan always said
- 12:38we were going to get Jerome Powell in the basement.
- 12:40He'll be here and he'll have a good time.
- 12:42We'll be nice to him, but we're going to ask him some tough.
- 12:45Questions, but he's going to be forced.
- 12:50Excuse me? He's going to be forced to take
- 12:54big action, right? Because he doesn't work for you.
- 12:57Do you think he works for you? He doesn't work for me.
- 13:01Sure. When he's testifying in front of
- 13:03Congress, he's going to say we're looking out for the good
- 13:06of the American people. And we are, you know, we want to
- 13:09control prices and whoever, whether it's Jerome or any other
- 13:13mouthpiece from the Federal Reserve.
- 13:15They're full of it. He's not working for you.
- 13:18He's not working for me. He's working for the big banks,
- 13:21the BBS. That's who he works for.
- 13:24The BMS. The BMS.
- 13:26You know what ABM is. Do you Then don't have a dirty
- 13:30mind? Now I'm going to get in trouble
- 13:32because people are going to write comments and coin chop.
- 13:34Chris and the moderators are going to have to have to monitor
- 13:38the quotes. ABM is big money, dirty mind.
- 13:42See, this is a clean show. I've told you that many times.
- 13:45That's who Jerome works for. He works for the BMS.
- 13:49Maybe there's a relationship there in those initials, but
- 13:51anyway, and the BBS the big. Banks, right.
- 13:56I repeat myself so much. Maybe it's better off that I use
- 13:59initials. Susie always call me repeat.
- 14:01Or Ron, you repeat. You repeat me anyway.
- 14:05Oh, and I got a bone to pick with you too, because she said
- 14:08something to me about what was going on in the comments about
- 14:11my. Shirt anyway the BBS when the
- 14:14when the BBS get in trouble, Jerome's going to pivot.
- 14:17Gold and silver are going to skyrocket.
- 14:19Are the BBS in trouble right now?
- 14:22Yes they are. They hold bond portfolios that
- 14:25are been a decimated in value. They hold commercial real estate
- 14:29portfolios that have been decimated, decimated in value.
- 14:34Obliterated. Declined down, however you want
- 14:38to say it. Are the stocks of the BBS doing
- 14:42well? No.
- 14:43In the stock market's pretty smart.
- 14:46OK, generally speaking, it's convoluted and perverted from
- 14:50the last number of years. But nonetheless, the stocks of
- 14:52the big banks are down. This, I'm going to let you know
- 14:55a little secret, OK? And I think it's Michael Oliver
- 14:57pointed this out. Here's a little secret for you.
- 15:00Sunday morning Secrets with Ron. OK?
- 15:04During the great financial crisis when the BBS got in
- 15:07trouble. Guess who knows about it way
- 15:09ahead of time. Yeah, the Federal Reserve.
- 15:12And Janet Yellen, probably at the Treasury, has a pretty good
- 15:14inclination as well, because coincidentally, purely
- 15:17coincidence, Janet Yellen, who's the head of the Treasury
- 15:20Reserve. She used to be the head of the
- 15:23Federal Reserve. Isn't that interesting?
- 15:25Did I say Treasury Reserve? Well, you know what I meant.
- 15:27Treasury Department. Anyway, they will act OK,
- 15:32proactively, preemptively, to save the BBS.
- 15:37All right? And that could be happening very
- 15:39soon. And that will be a very good day
- 15:42for the price of gold and silver.
- 15:45You watch it. You watch it unfold.
- 15:47OK, you watch it unfold. Anything broken at your house
- 15:51you want to talk about? Got any problems owning a house?
- 15:54I know Coin Shop Chris is dealing with a bad dishwasher,
- 15:57right? Anybody wants to donate a new
- 15:58dishwasher to Coin Shop Chris? His information's in the
- 16:03description of the video. Maybe a little plastic toy, one
- 16:08from a dollhouse. Anyway, is anything broke at
- 16:10your house right? Because I'm going to tell you a
- 16:13story, a big story. And this has everything to do
- 16:16with what we're talking about today.
- 16:18The P vault. We're going to call it the P
- 16:20vault from now on. The pivot by the Fed, right?
- 16:24The fact that the system is falling apart right in front of
- 16:27our very eyes because there's a guy I listened to yesterday.
- 16:30I was in Toronto, I was out of town visiting gold mines,
- 16:33meeting with high level analysts from the big Canadian banks that
- 16:37follow gold and silver. Man, everybody sees ever.
- 16:41I'm telling you now, maybe it was an echo chamber because
- 16:43these guys work in the gold and silver and air arena, but they
- 16:47see everything just like we do. So trust me, even these smart
- 16:52guys that wear suits to work every day, not red shirts in
- 16:55their basement, they see everything like we do.
- 16:59Anyway, I had some time. There's a guy, he's on YouTube.
- 17:05He's called the YouTube handyman, spelled the letter
- 17:09YouTube. You can check this out for
- 17:12yourself. Not now, because you're at
- 17:14Sunday morning with Ron. OK.
- 17:17And maybe we'll have a little inspirational period at the end
- 17:19of this video. Nonetheless, the YouTube
- 17:22handyman, now that's he's the working for himself.
- 17:26He's the, he's the backbone of the US economy.
- 17:29He's the smallest of the small businesses.
- 17:32This guy started this business six years ago doing handyman
- 17:37work, right? Put an ad on Craigslist and got
- 17:39super busy. And that's what he's doing.
- 17:41All right, I'll tell you a story.
- 17:43I'm. You know what?
- 17:44I don't. Look, I graduated from a top
- 17:46university. I worked for Deloitte and touché
- 17:48briefly. All right.
- 17:50I've worked at Fortune 500 companies.
- 17:52I've placed executives at some of the biggest companies in the
- 17:55world. OK.
- 17:56But I retired very young and and let me tell you this, OK, when
- 18:02my daughters went to kindergarten, I was bored.
- 18:04So one day I I put like 50 little Flyers on my neighbor's
- 18:09yard because I wanted to get out and get some exercise saying if
- 18:11you need anything done at your house, you want some bushes,
- 18:13trimmed, whatever. Over three years, it turned into
- 18:17like a bustling business. I was the best Bush trimmer in
- 18:20Chesterfield. Also all the time investing in
- 18:24gold and silver and precious metal, mining stocks and making
- 18:27videos from time to time. This is before I got serious
- 18:30about connecting with you. Yes.
- 18:31You. OK?
- 18:33And it grew. And that's exactly what this.
- 18:35And then I got to a point like, I don't want to do this anymore.
- 18:37I I think I can do. I want to do more.
- 18:40I want to start, you know, something really big.
- 18:42That's why I started Ron's basement in these the people
- 18:45that I did work for, I'm still friends with them.
- 18:47They're all old. They're wonderful, nice people.
- 18:49Nonetheless, that's back on track.
- 18:52Back on track. And I'll tell you something, OK,
- 18:55Doing that type of work, like I I was the best Bush tremor
- 18:58around. I had good gas boot tremors.
- 19:00Is very rewarding and it is good exercise.
- 19:03No doubt about it. Now.
- 19:05Nonetheless, this guy, the YouTube handyman, started his
- 19:10business six years ago. This is scary, guys, OK?
- 19:14He just put out a video and he said people are broke, OK?
- 19:19He said six years ago, put an ad on Craigslist, do handyman work
- 19:24and that was all he did. And it grew and grew and grew,
- 19:27grew to a point where like two or three years ago he said he
- 19:29had so many phone calls that he couldn't return them.
- 19:33There was no way that he could return all the phone calls, all
- 19:36the business he was getting, doing small handyman jobs, He
- 19:40says. About three or four months ago
- 19:43he started to notice a slowdown. And he basically said that right
- 19:47now things have fallen off a Cliff.
- 19:51People don't have money now, now, now.
- 19:54And I feel for this guy, right, because he's working for
- 19:56himself, He's self-employed, right?
- 19:58Putting in kitchen faucets, probably fixing fences, putting
- 20:02in new dishwashers for people like our friend Coin Shop Chris.
- 20:05Who needs a new dishy washy, washy, dishy, dishy washer
- 20:08anyway? Anyway, what does that mean?
- 20:12Now it's just, it's a sad story, right?
- 20:14But but what is that? Let's think about this.
- 20:18OK? There's a kicker.
- 20:19There's a double wing zinger. Dinger.
- 20:21As always. Number one, he's telling us he's
- 20:24observing people are out of money.
- 20:26Now I'm going to take a sip of coffee and then I'm going to
- 20:28deliver the Double winger. Zinger, dinger.
- 20:35I forgot to remind you, you're a basement dweller.
- 20:38Welcome. Basement dweller.
- 20:39Sunday morning in the basement. I am overwhelmed.
- 20:43I would have never thought 389 people would be here with me in
- 20:48the morning. You're here.
- 20:49Yes. You.
- 20:50You do. You realize that it's a bunch of
- 20:54us. It's a bunch of you.
- 20:55That's why they called it YouTube.
- 20:56And it's awesome. And I appreciate you being here.
- 20:59Subscribe if you're not. I put out new content every day.
- 21:02Now double. Winger, zinger, dinger.
- 21:06Nobody has any money. But think about this.
- 21:09Most of the business that he's doing are critical things,
- 21:13things that people need to have done like, oh, my toilet's not
- 21:17working. Would you think it's?
- 21:18Do you think it's critical that your toilet works?
- 21:20That you have at least one functioning toilet in your
- 21:23house? Huh.
- 21:26Yeah. You can talk to Susie.
- 21:28I'll let her tell the story. But when I first met her, she
- 21:32lived in a small little house in Kirkwood, MO.
- 21:35Nice town and she had one bathroom and I can do believe it
- 21:39or not, I I rehabbed several houses in my 20s and there I was
- 21:43re redoing our bathroom for and we didn't have a toilet for
- 21:48about 6 hours one Sunday morning if I remember correctly.
- 21:52And let's just say, let's just say there's a funny story
- 21:56surrounding that that I, I'm, I'm going to think about before
- 21:59I tell publicly on YouTube. Nonetheless, people need their
- 22:03toilets fixed. That's critical.
- 22:05OK. That's what the handyman does.
- 22:08People need water their faucets fixed.
- 22:10That's what the handyman does. People might say oh I want some
- 22:14new you know how the wives were usually wives.
- 22:17I want new blinds, I want new something.
- 22:21OK. That's that's kind of like like
- 22:23luxury ish type stuff that's fall that's gone.
- 22:27Toilets, Right. People are only only fixing what
- 22:30they absolutely need to fix. I'm telling you, this economy
- 22:34and what's it going to do for gold and silver, huh?
- 22:37What's it going to do? What's it going to do for gold
- 22:40and silver? This is the economy goes.
- 22:42Thank you man. Wrath of Khan.
- 22:44Good to see you buddy. Thank.
- 22:46You thank you. We're getting real.
- 22:50This is real, right? I'm not.
- 22:51We're not down here saying no. The Bureau of Labor and
- 22:54Statistics, thank you. Wrath of Khan is saying that
- 22:57that employment's up .6% in April, that we know.
- 23:01That's all about the Bureau of Lies and Statistics.
- 23:05OK, what's the ex CEO of Walmart saying who's on the board of
- 23:10director at major companies? OK, he can say whatever he wants
- 23:14now. Right when he's the CEO of
- 23:16Walmart, he has to be Mr. Optimism, Mr. Whatever.
- 23:19Now he can say whatever he wants.
- 23:21He's saying the economy's crashing, The consumer is
- 23:24crashing, It's pulling back. The consumer is 2/3 of the US
- 23:30economy, right? We are a consumer driven
- 23:34economy, Borrowed money from the rest of the world and that's
- 23:37about to change. So.
- 23:39So we got two big things going on, right?
- 23:42Right. We know what the guy, the man on
- 23:44the street making a YouTube video, the handyman, the other
- 23:48end of the spectrum tells us. Things are slow.
- 23:51And this is a guy that provides critical repair services.
- 23:55People don't have any money, OK? People don't have any money,
- 24:00right? Because their credit cards are
- 24:01maxed out, their savings accounts are drained.
- 24:06Did you hear that? You know, right.
- 24:09It's like when my when Abby and Lily were little and I drained
- 24:11the bathtub and down the drain, it goes slow and then it ends.
- 24:15Whoosh, right? People are paying more and more
- 24:20on these massive credit card account balances that they've
- 24:24racked up. Yeah, OK, People don't have
- 24:27money. Economy is.
- 24:31Essentially on the precipice possibly.
- 24:34I don't have a complete crystal ball, only 1/2.
- 24:37Because I dropped it, OK, but the half crystal ball tells me
- 24:43that we're heading towards some very difficult times. the Fed is
- 24:47not going to let everything crash. the Fed is not going to
- 24:50let the system go down the tubes.
- 24:54They're going to pivot, OK, they're going to, they're going
- 24:56to have to inject more, make believe money.
- 24:59But it gets even crazier when you think about what we're going
- 25:03to talk about next. After I ring the old cowbell,
- 25:06because we got you did it. It's Sunday morning. 400 people.
- 25:11I don't know, can we get to 500? I got more time.
- 25:14I'm going to be here and we got a lot more to talk about.
- 25:16But let me ring the cowbell for 200.
- 25:18Thumbs up. Now that's a church bell.
- 25:29That's a church. Bell and we also need to talk
- 25:31about the stock market crashing. OK, but first.
- 25:36As we talked about the silver and gold and platinum price
- 25:40within the context of what we just talked about, collapsing
- 25:43economy, the US needing to print more money.
- 25:46Think about this guys and more and more people are picking up
- 25:51on this and inflation, inflation is picking up at the same time
- 25:57and and we are seeing a confluence of very scary factors
- 26:03develop in the world. War, war, war.
- 26:08I'm getting yelled at again for saying it wrong.
- 26:10War. Why, you know, is it war or war?
- 26:13I'm going to tell you what, it's WAR to me.
- 26:16It is obviously pronounced war, but apparently it's pronounced
- 26:21war. Like WORE.
- 26:23So do you do you pronounce WORE war like?
- 26:27Oh, I wore my red shirt for my live stream where I talked about
- 26:31war. Oh my gosh.
- 26:36OK, within the context of everything going on.
- 26:40War in Israel, war in the Ukraine.
- 26:44Right. Right.
- 26:46OK, big deal. Yeah, big Frick.
- 26:48Big. I'm a said Fricking, which I
- 26:50don't say on this show. Big, big poopy, big, big deal.
- 26:55War in Ukraine, War in Israel. But and is the United States
- 27:01involved in both of those? Absolutely.
- 27:03Absolutely. But don't forget, at home we
- 27:06have a crashing economy, right? Skyrocketing interest rates.
- 27:12We have war in Israel, war in the Ukraine.
- 27:16That is a. Tragedy, absolute tragedy.
- 27:20But Austin, the the United States maybe not, doesn't have
- 27:24troops there fighting, but it's draining money out of our
- 27:29government. Do you know like in the last
- 27:30four weeks the the, the federal debt level?
- 27:34The last four weeks went up by over a half a trillion dollars.
- 27:39Yeah, not not billion trillion in four weeks.
- 27:43OK. It's draining.
- 27:45And nobody knows where the money was going.
- 27:47Well, I got an idea, right. It's either going to shore up
- 27:50the banks that are going to fail in this country, or maybe it's
- 27:53going to fund the war because the money's got to come from
- 27:57somewhere for the war, right. OK.
- 28:02That is all dilutive to the value of the US dollar while at
- 28:07the same. Time economy crashing.
- 28:09I know I'm talking about a lot. You may want to take out a pen
- 28:11and paper. Economy crashing.
- 28:13I got to do this all out of my head.
- 28:15Economy crashing. Walmart YouTube bandyman.
- 28:19OK, we're going to have. I'm going to have him on the
- 28:21show. That's a great idea.
- 28:24Yeah. Anyway.
- 28:27War Draining money out of the United States required requiring
- 28:31more money. OK, right.
- 28:33OK. On top of that, Bifurcation.
- 28:38That's our word. That's a word we all know.
- 28:40You're a basement dweller. Bifurcation.
- 28:42Bifurcation. The world's splitting.
- 28:45And the Double wing. Triple Zing, dinger, dinger.
- 28:49Ding Dong. The Ding Dong on this one is on
- 28:52top of all that, right? Half the world saying we're
- 28:55done. We're done with the dollar.
- 28:58You keep your dollar. We don't want your dollar.
- 29:00We don't want we. We oh boy.
- 29:02But we got war in Ukraine, war in Israel.
- 29:07Why are there so many darn wars all of a sudden?
- 29:09I'm scared. Let's make believe.
- 29:11I'm a an Indian man or a Chinese man or a Japanese man or a
- 29:17Russian man. I'm scared.
- 29:20I I don't. I need to.
- 29:22Put my money somewhere safe. What am I going to do with my
- 29:25money? Think about this.
- 29:27Put yourself in their shoes. What am I going to do with my
- 29:30money? You know 20 years ago, Five
- 29:33years ago, when when the when the old poop hit the fan, I used
- 29:38to buy dollars because they were they were safe.
- 29:41They were they were you know held their value kinda.
- 29:46Or I bought U.S. Treasuries.
- 29:48Now that man in China, or the man or the people, the
- 29:52government, whoever, we're talking about big picture stuff,
- 29:55right? The guy in Brazil, right, he's
- 29:58going to say, oh, I'm not, I don't want to go in the dollar.
- 30:02The dollar's losing value. The dollar can be confiscated.
- 30:05The whole world simultaneously is moving away from the dollar.
- 30:08Why would I want to go to the dollar?
- 30:10Where am I going to go? Now that I have all this turmoil
- 30:13in the world, all this war, Where am I going to go?
- 30:17Oh. Well, let's see.
- 30:18I don't want to put it in my native currency 'cause I don't
- 30:20believe in that either. And I don't believe in the
- 30:23Chinese, whatever they call it. I'm confused.
- 30:25Is it the yuan or the renimbi? Whatever, the yuan or the I
- 30:29don't know. The renimbi is India.
- 30:32I don't want to go there. There's no paper.
- 30:35Why do I want to go on paper anyway?
- 30:37Oh, what else can I go into? I could buy some land.
- 30:39Well, that's going to take a month.
- 30:41I could buy some. Oil and store it in my backyard?
- 30:43No, that's not really a viable option.
- 30:45I looked into storing, like, 600 barrels of oil here in the
- 30:50basement, and my local city just won't let me do it.
- 30:54OK, What can I do? What can Where can I go?
- 30:57I'm confused. I want to keep my money safe.
- 31:00Hey. Hey, guys.
- 31:02And that's why you're watching Ron's basement.
- 31:04I got the answer for you. Hold on here, here.
- 31:08Oh, look at this. It's called Silver, and it's got
- 31:14a Big Brother. What?
- 31:16How come you can't see that? There you go, Silver.
- 31:19You can see I bite my fingernails like I got attacked
- 31:22by weevils. Silver, right?
- 31:26That's a good. Hey, that's that's worked for
- 31:295000 years. And it has a Big Brother named
- 31:32Gold as well. And another cousin.
- 31:36Like, I'm going to see all my cousins today named Platinum.
- 31:39OK. Yeah, right.
- 31:41Yeah. Isn't that interesting?
- 31:43So as as the economy falls apart.
- 31:45As the world falls apart. As the world moves away.
- 31:49Bye, bye, dollar, Right. What are they looking for?
- 31:53A store of value? How about the one that's been
- 31:55around for 18,000 months? What about Bitcoin?
- 32:00Bitcoin. Bitcoin.
- 32:01Let me get my Bitcoin. Here's my Bitcoin.
- 32:04Oh, there it is. What?
- 32:05What? There it is.
- 32:07Where's my SLVETF silver? There it is.
- 32:10Up, up. Go ahead and grab some for
- 32:12yourself. It's all you can take.
- 32:13Have all the free Bitcoin you want.
- 32:16Compliments here. Special giveaway Ron's basement
- 32:19Sunday morning. What if the power goes out?
- 32:23What about those poor people in Israel and Palestine?
- 32:27But I'm going to talk about the Palestinians who don't have any.
- 32:30Power right now. Ask them how their bitcoins
- 32:33working for them. It didn't.
- 32:35Israel shut off the power and electricity, and I'm sure
- 32:38Internet access as well. Ask them how their cryptos are
- 32:43holding up. They don't know.
- 32:45They can't use. Them, right.
- 32:49Think about that. If you were in Palestine right
- 32:52now and and our heart goes out to all the people in the Middle
- 32:56East, OK, I'm not making light of it this.
- 32:58It's it's a tragedy what's going on on both sides in the Middle
- 33:03East. But if you're in Palestine right
- 33:04now, what do you think you would want as a store of value?
- 33:08Maybe a gold coin, maybe a silver coin?
- 33:12You know, I think you would. You know, I, I, I, I, I mean
- 33:16that that is probably the worst case scenario that a lot of us
- 33:20talk about, like needing the metal for barter purposes.
- 33:23Well, I just dawned on me, so I want to be careful how I talk
- 33:27about this. But isn't that happening right
- 33:29now, Isn't it? I would say, I would say that it
- 33:33is. You know, silver and gold have
- 33:36always been valuable. Always.
- 33:39I want to tell you a story. You want to hear a story about
- 33:41gold? I'll tell you.
- 33:43I don't think I've ever told this story.
- 33:46You know how important gold is to the world.
- 33:49Silver as well. I'll tell you a story.
- 33:51I'm sitting here, right? My two buns in the basement,
- 33:56right. Not, not that bun.
- 34:02Hey, look what's. My moderators got mad at me.
- 34:06Look what's back. Not those buns.
- 34:12These two buns are sitting here. Are sitting here because of
- 34:17gold. OK.
- 34:18I would not be here right now. I would be.
- 34:21We would not. We would not.
- 34:23We would not be together on a Sunday morning if it weren't for
- 34:26gold. I have gold to thank for my very
- 34:28life. That's a fact.
- 34:30Because you know why? Not my grampy, but my great
- 34:33grampy. OK, he, he was in South Africa.
- 34:40OK, he was a Dutch boar. They were called farmers.
- 34:44This is the way I understand it. This is a very interesting story
- 34:47that shows how important gold has been for hundreds and
- 34:51thousands of years. So the Dutch went to South.
- 34:54Africa, the way I understand it is.
- 34:57They were happy in South Africa, everything was great.
- 34:59And then the British showed up and the British were more
- 35:01powerful and they said, hey, you Dutch people, we want the land
- 35:04by the ocean, you move in. They pushed him into further
- 35:08into Africa. So the Dutch people were like,
- 35:10yeah, whatever, we'll go in. So they went in one day, some
- 35:13Dutch dude and I heard he was giving his cow some water, but I
- 35:17could have that wrong. Hold on a second.
- 35:22Some Dutch dude. I heard it was a farmer taking
- 35:24his cow to get some water to stream.
- 35:27And he looked in the stream and he saw gold.
- 35:30And a lot of gold. And that set off a massive gold
- 35:34rush in the interior part. From what I understand of South
- 35:38Africa, all this gold and these Dutch people were getting rich.
- 35:41Well then the British changed their mind.
- 35:46They said, you know Dutch people, we know, we told you to
- 35:49move to the interior and we know now you found gold.
- 35:53And you know what? We want that gold.
- 35:55So we're going to move into there.
- 35:57And then a big war broke out called the Boroir.
- 35:59From what I There are like two of them, Two boroirs from what I
- 36:02understand, the boars, the Dutch were outnumbered significantly,
- 36:06but they fought off the British. Blah blah blah.
- 36:08Who knows? I'm not a historian.
- 36:11Anyway, my great grandpa was a soldier in the Boroir.
- 36:15Cavalry man. Got pictures of him on his
- 36:17horse. He looks just like me.
- 36:20Lucky guy. Anyway, he wore a red shirt
- 36:23every day anyway. After the war there was this
- 36:26thing here in St. Louis, MO called the World's
- 36:29Fair of 19 O 4 Massive. It's not most everybody knows
- 36:33about it, but if you haven't, it was really crazy huge World's
- 36:36Fair. They had a Boroir exhibition
- 36:38where they re enacted parts of the Boroir.
- 36:41They had Grampy come over. Great Grampy to help out.
- 36:44He came. He worked at the World's Fair,
- 36:46doing his exhibition with his horses and his swords and
- 36:49whatever he did in his red shirt.
- 36:51And he fell in love and stayed. And the rest is history.
- 36:53That's how important gold is. Not not so much that I'm here,
- 36:57right? There'd be some other goofball
- 36:59in his basement talking to you on a Sunday morning.
- 37:01But more importantly, that wars. Wars.
- 37:06Sorry, wars were fought over gold.
- 37:10What's the first thing when a country gets invaded or a
- 37:13country gets conquered? What's the first thing?
- 37:16The United States of America did when they defeated Saddam
- 37:21Hussein, they took the gold, right.
- 37:24What do you. I mean, that's the first thing
- 37:27what's going on in the world. We just got news out.
- 37:30Central banks continue to buy gold.
- 37:33And when we talk about gold and we're talking about silver,
- 37:36silver is gold on steroids. Fact.
- 37:41Central banks continue to buy gold.
- 37:45Interesting, right? Do you want to buy some gold?
- 37:48Please check out Pinbex, our sponsor.

- 38:16research. OK, come to your own conclusion,
- 38:19but I do think Pinbex is best, and I think you will too.
- 38:22OK, so gold has played a critical role throughout the
- 38:26world. We don't talk about bricks
- 38:28anymore. That's all we used to talk
- 38:30about. Gosh, those are like the glory
- 38:32days of the summer. The sun was shining, the bricks
- 38:35meeting was coming up. Is bricks dead?
- 38:38No, don't forget. Boys and girls, basement
- 38:43dwellers, right? And I love you for being here.
- 38:46Thank you so much for being here.
- 38:48Bricks is not dead. On January 1st we will have
- 38:52Saudi Arabia. This is the timing of these
- 38:56wars. Make you a little suspicious
- 38:59from time to time, because on January 1st, less than three
- 39:02months from now, we'll have. Saudi Arabia, the United Arab
- 39:07Emirates, 2 powerhouse countries in the Middle East, Two of the
- 39:10world's biggest oil producers joining BRICS, along with Iran.
- 39:17Oh my gosh, think about what's going on with Iran now in
- 39:20Israel, Argentina, Ethiopia and Egypt as well.
- 39:26BRICS is not dead. The world is changing right
- 39:29underneath our feet. Iran.
- 39:33With what's going on with the war and it, I mean it is these
- 39:37are times like we've never seen before.
- 39:39Now we're going to talk about the stock market crashing.
- 39:42Don't you worry the potential that we could see a major crash
- 39:47in the stock market. Thank you for being here.
- 39:50OK. I also want to thank first.
- 39:54Mining Gold, their sponsor of Ron's Basement.
- 39:57I was just in Toronto meeting with the CEO and key members of
- 40:01the executive team of First Mining Gold.
- 40:04I spent two whole days with them.
- 40:06I came away feeling even better on my personal level.
- 40:10I'm not giving financial advice, but I felt even better about
- 40:14what to me is my significant investment in first mining gold
- 40:18stock. They've got you want gold in the
- 40:22ground. Right, in the best vault ever.
- 40:24It's they, they have two 5 million ounce gold deposits in
- 40:31Canada, one in Ontario, one in Quebec that I visited, OK.
- 40:35It's in the safest vault in the world.
- 40:38It's still in the ground. They're a development stage
- 40:41company. That means the gold has been,
- 40:43has been discovered. It's been determined through
- 40:47scientific methodology how much gold is there.
- 40:50And now they're in this phase where they're working through
- 40:53the development process, which means working towards getting
- 40:58mines built. Now this can take years, right?
- 41:00But it's a process that as if the companies get further along,
- 41:05they typically accrue much more value.
- 41:09Because once you got the gold and you know how much is there,
- 41:12then you need to go through this exciting process of getting it
- 41:16permitted and and and putting together what are called PE as
- 41:20preliminary economic assessments, which show how much
- 41:23money the mine could make and how much it would cost to build
- 41:27the mine. That's where they are.
- 41:28If you want more information, do me a favor.
- 41:31I want you to do me a favor. If you have interest in first
- 41:34mining gold, e-mail Paul Morris. He's a British man and one of
- 41:38the nicest, most knowledgeable, friendly people you'll ever
- 41:41meet. Here's the heat.
- 41:43I'm giving you direct access to the director of Investor
- 41:46Relations. His e-mail address will be in
- 41:48the description of this video. Now let's talk about the market
- 41:52crashing. OK, Let's talk about the market
- 41:55crashing. Oh, darn it.
- 41:57Oh, shoot. Hold on.
- 41:58I never do this. But I need to hop up and I got
- 42:02to grab something because I forgot.
- 42:05Well, I can do it by memory. This is by memory.
- 42:09But it's I'm I'm I'm. I'm sure this is very close.
- 42:13The seven biggest stocks in the S&P 500, the Fantastic seven, I
- 42:18think they call them now, right? It's like Google, Microsoft,
- 42:21Amazon, NVIDIA, I don't know, whoever else they are, seven of
- 42:26them. They're all tech companies.
- 42:27They now make up like 30% of the entire value of the S&P 500.
- 42:34OK, absolutely crazy. 7 out of 500 stocks make up 30%.
- 42:41Seven out of 500 is a little over 1%.
- 42:46So a little over 1% of the S&P 500 represents over 30% of the
- 42:52total value of the S&P 500. Does that make sense?
- 42:56Right, when it comes to returns? And then it gets interesting
- 42:59here because I got, I've got some insight that I can share
- 43:02with you because I do understand money and financial statements,
- 43:07OK, is critical that we understand what's going on with
- 43:10this that all basically all the returns this year in the S&P 500
- 43:17is are are attributable to those seven stocks.
- 43:21OK. Now what makes it crazy is that
- 43:27the valuation of these stocks, it becomes like a Ponzi scheme.
- 43:30I'm sorry, but it is right. Most people that are buying
- 43:34those stocks have no idea what they're buying.
- 43:36They go. I'm born an apple computer cuz I
- 43:39have an apple phone and I love apple and apples.
- 43:41Good. And it just goes up and up and
- 43:43up and up and up right, even where I work with a bunch of
- 43:46professional musicians and God bless them, they're wonderful
- 43:50people. But for some reason, three of
- 43:52these more senior women that worked there had Apple stock,
- 43:57and they like to brag about it. Like, I love Apple.
- 43:59I bought Apple 10 years ago. And you know what?
- 44:01They've done great. More power to them.
- 44:03But they're musicians, OK? They don't know what a financial
- 44:07statement is. They look at a balance sheet.
- 44:09I know what a balance sheet is. They look at an income statement
- 44:12or a cash flow statement. They're like, I don't understand
- 44:15what that means, right? It's like if they hand me a
- 44:18sheet of music. I'm not a musician.
- 44:21I know what it is. A sheet of music, a bunch of
- 44:23little weird symbols and I know up and down and different notes.
- 44:27Thank you Shadow work for that. Super chat.
- 44:29I hope you have a super day. Shadow work OK.
- 44:32They don't understand. It's a Ponzi.
- 44:35It's turned into a Ponzi partial Ponzi APP.
- 44:39Absolutely a partial. Ponzi because the guys, the
- 44:42money that you put into Apple stock or or NVIDIA.
- 44:48The assets for every $100 you put in, you might only be
- 44:51getting three or four or $5 worth of assets.
- 44:54So most of the value of the stock is based on blue sky
- 44:58expectations that Apple computers just going to keep
- 45:01making more and more and more and more money.
- 45:05Apple doesn't have that much more room to grow.
- 45:07I'm not saying they're going out of business.
- 45:09No, no. I mean, they've done better in
- 45:11the last five years than I anticipated they would.
- 45:14But I'm telling you, these stocks, they are overvalued.
- 45:19Overvalued. It's like, let's say your house.
- 45:22You probably live in a house. Let's say you own a house that
- 45:25you bought for 200 K three years ago, and now three years later,
- 45:31houses in your neighborhood are selling for 600K, right?
- 45:34I mean, doesn't it just seem a little funny to you, right?
- 45:37Like people are just buying and paying more and more and more
- 45:40because they think in the future people are going to pay more and
- 45:43more and more, but the music stops.
- 45:46Isn't that what the CEO of Walmart told us?
- 45:49The music does stop, and when it stops, you want to make sure
- 45:54that you got a seat. I want to make sure that I have
- 45:58a seat. Now, the seat that we're looking
- 46:00at, right, We maybe we sat down a little early, right?
- 46:04My seat is made of gold and silver.
- 46:08It's got a gold butt and silver legs.
- 46:10And maybe I sat down a little early.
- 46:13Absolutely. Did I buy mining stocks now?
- 46:17In hindsight, Of course. Early.
- 46:18Yeah, I did. Did anybody else?
- 46:21Right. Right.
- 46:22Did I buy gold or silver? Gold.
- 46:24The metals themselves. I'm a silver guy to me.
- 46:27That's different to me. I don't know.
- 46:28Do you have this experience every time you buy silver?
- 46:32I never sell it. Excuse me, I'm supposed to mute
- 46:37when I do that. I never sell it, right?
- 46:40And I never ever regret having bought the silver or the gold.
- 46:46Although I have very little gold, extremely small amount of
- 46:49gold. But I have a lot of gold mining
- 46:50stocks and I don't even regret buying those.
- 46:52I was, I was on this trip up in Toronto with these top level
- 46:57analysts, right, Some wealthy people.
- 46:59And I was talking to one of the guys and he's like, yeah, I've
- 47:01done a round trip. It's like my gold mining stocks
- 47:04went, you know, up 100% and now they're back down 100%.
- 47:09I'm back where I started and he said, but I never really look at
- 47:12My Portfolio because I know what I have right.
- 47:16And that's kind of like how we talk about how you value your
- 47:19silver. You value it by the number of Oz
- 47:22that you have. You value it by by its, I guess
- 47:27you would say intrinsic, if that's the right word.
- 47:29Value not based on Unicorn fart, dust dollars or anything else
- 47:34like that. You value it by what it actually
- 47:37is. Do we have 277 thumbs up?
- 47:40Can we get to 300? I'm going to talk about the
- 47:42giveaway. Yes, coin shop Chris.
- 47:45I saw your virtual Ding Dong. Coin shop Chris throws virtual
- 47:48Ding dongs at me through the phone.
- 47:50It pops up. He's got my personal number text
- 47:53messages. Hold on, I'm going.
- 47:54To have a sip of coffee, can we get to 300 thumbs up?
- 47:57I'll do the bell with my nose one last time.
- 48:00It's Sunday morning. I'll do it all for you.
- 48:02So stick around. Yes, I'll do.
- 48:05I'll even do a dramatic bell nose.
- 48:07Nose. Bell nose, bell bell nose.
- 48:09Hold on. All right, I'm back.
- 49:12Sorry. I don't know what happened
- 49:14there. I have an old phone.
- 49:17So they're going to be these 4-5.
- 49:21There's five of them. Beautiful silver buffaloes.
- 49:27OK, from our friend Jim M There's going to be this one
- 49:35ounce bar. There's going to be this
- 49:38Krugerrand. There's going to be this bag of
- 49:41very nice coins. There's a bunch in there.
- 49:45Silver coins from coin shop. Chris, you want some gold?
- 49:51You want some gold? We got some gold.
- 49:54There's going to be some gold backs.
- 49:56At least this many, at least this many gold backs.
- 50:00There's some fives in there. OK, look, they're beautiful,
- 50:05aren't they? Gold.
- 50:06Real gold. And there's going to be this,
- 50:12the hard to get Buffalo Trace Buffalo Trace seasoning from our
- 50:18friends at Weber. There's going to be more.
- 50:23Something's coming from Pembex. OK, Pi MB, EX Pembex.
- 50:27I talked about them earlier and I'm going to put some more in
- 50:30there as well. And I think there might even be
- 50:32more and more so. Oh, and a first mining gold hat.
- 50:37This nice hat. Brand new.
- 50:40I never put it on my head. OK, I have another one they gave
- 50:43me as well. Nice Adidas hat, OK?
- 50:49Yeah. Don't leave me.
- 50:51I promised one last time, baby, this is it.
- 50:55You're going to witness the last ringing of the bell with a man's
- 51:00nose, at least for today. OK, and three rings for 300
- 51:05thumbs up. If you haven't given this a
- 51:07thumbs up yet, please give it a thumbs up.
- 51:09All right, I will do this until I lose a sponsor over it.
- 51:15But even then, if it's still demanded by the audience.
- 51:18Yeah, look, I'm beholden to you. This is not possible without
- 51:23you. Remember the hot dog?
- 51:33Hey, I want a hot dog. Has anybody out there ever?
- 51:38I'm not a pinball freak, but I love pinball.
- 51:40Has anybody ever played the game Funhouse, Pinball, Funhouse.
- 51:43I used to love that game, and anyway, I found one down in Gulf
- 51:50Shores, AL. Hey, I want a hot dog.
- 51:53It's the best pinball game ever if you ever see at the funhouse.

- 56:12lot of wonderful people and helped a lot of people, right?
- 56:16And he'll always say, I'm not an expert and I'm not an expert,
