  Speaker 1: your final place. The pit is not your final place.

  Speaker 1: Genesis thirty seven twenty three three twenty four says, So

  Speaker 1: it came to pass when Joseph had come to his brothers,
• 0:20
  Speaker 1: they took him and cast him into a pit. And
• 0:24
  Speaker 1: the pit was empty. There was no water in it.

  Speaker 1: You know, there are seasons in life that feel like
• 0:34
  Speaker 1: a pit. Unexpected disappointment, painful betrayals, unanswered prayers, and circumstances
• 0:40
  Speaker 1: that seem unfair. It's the place where you ask questions,

  Speaker 1: like God, why did this happen? I tried to do
• 0:50
  Speaker 1: what was right. Why am I here? Perhaps that's what
• 0:53
  Speaker 1: Joseph wondered. Joseph wasn't in the pit because he was
• 0:57
  Speaker 1: rebellious or disobedient. He was in the pit because of jealousy,
• 1:01
  Speaker 1: because of rejection, because of the choices of others. His
• 1:04
  Speaker 1: own brothers turned against him. One day he carried dreams
• 1:08
  Speaker 1: from God. The next day he abandoned. He was abandoned
• 1:12
  Speaker 1: in darkness. The pig was lonely. It was unfair, and
• 1:17
  Speaker 1: it likely made no sense. Have you ever been there,
• 1:20
  Speaker 1: emotionally or even spiritually, a place where life doesn't look
• 1:24
  Speaker 1: anything like what you believed. God promised a place where
• 1:28
  Speaker 1: you expected progress but instead found pain. In those moments, discouragement, whispers,
• 1:34
  Speaker 1: give up, become bitter, stop believing. But Joseph's story doesn't
• 1:40
  Speaker 1: teach us to give up. It teaches us something powerful.

  Speaker 1: The pit is not the end of the story. See
• 1:48
  Speaker 1: what looked like a setback became a part of God's
• 1:52
  Speaker 1: set up. The difficult truth is that we will not
• 1:56
  Speaker 1: always understand God's timing or his methods. Sometimes the very

  Speaker 1: place we want to escape becomes a place where God
• 2:05
  Speaker 1: prepares us. The pit developed strength, The waiting bills endurance.

  Speaker 1: The disappointment deepens trust. Joseph's destiny was never about the pit.

  Speaker 1: His destiny was influenced. His destiny was leadership, His destiny

  Speaker 1: was purpose. But before the palace came preparation, before promotion

  Speaker 1: came process, And often God's process doesn't feel comfortable. Can

  Speaker 1: we be honest? See, there may be seasons where you're
• 2:38
  Speaker 1: doing the right thing and you're still facing hardship. You're praying,
• 2:41
  Speaker 1: you're remaining faithful, and you're honoring God, and yet things
• 2:44
  Speaker 1: seem delayed. Well in those moments, Faith says, even here,
• 2:49
  Speaker 1: God is working. Faith believes that God sees beyond what
• 2:53
  Speaker 1: we can see. While we focus on present paying, God
• 2:56
  Speaker 1: sees future purpose. While we focus on the pit, God
• 2:59
  Speaker 1: sees problem. Notice this, The pit did not stop Joseph.

  Speaker 1: Betrayal did not stop him. False accusations did not stop him.

  Speaker 1: Prison did not stop him. Why because God's purpose over
• 3:14
  Speaker 1: his life was greater than the obstacles against him. Well,
• 3:18
  Speaker 1: the same is true for you and me. Your current
• 3:20
  Speaker 1: struggle does not cancel God's calling. Your delay does not
• 3:24
  Speaker 1: mean denial. What pilsbury may simply be planted for a
• 3:29
  Speaker 1: future season. So if you find yourself in a pit today,
• 3:33
  Speaker 1: resist the temptation to become bitter. Choose trust over resentment,
• 3:37
  Speaker 1: Choose praise over despair. Keep believing even when life doesn't
• 3:41
  Speaker 1: make sense. Because a pit is temporary, God is still
• 3:45
  Speaker 1: writing your story, and he knows exactly how to get
• 3:48
  Speaker 1: you where you're meant to be. Oh Father, God, thank you,
• 3:52
  Speaker 1: Thank you. The difficult seasons are not the end of
• 3:54
  Speaker 1: our story. Thank you that even when life doesn't make sense,
• 3:57
  Speaker 1: you remain faithfully. You're in control. God help us to

  Speaker 1: trust you in the pits and believe that you are
• 4:03
  Speaker 1: using every challenge of our lives, God to prepare us
• 4:07
  Speaker 1: for purpose that you've planned. God, we declare that disappointments
• 4:11
  Speaker 1: will not defeat us, and delay will not discourage us. God,

  Speaker 1: we trusted you are leading us toward victory in Jesus' name. Hey,
