- 0:03Speaker 1: Thank ye shooters, No, no, and no and never know.
- 0:14Speaker 2: Welcome to the Naughty but NICEA.
- 0:16Speaker 3: I'm your host from Shooter this Tuesday, which means our
- 0:18Speaker 3: dear friend Delana and Dixon joins us. Hey, mister are
- 0:21Speaker 3: you there. I am.
- 0:22Speaker 4: I missed you guys last Tuesday, but I'm back and
- 0:26Speaker 4: I love seeing you this past week.
- 0:28Speaker 3: Mister Shooter, you were so sweet. So it was my
- 0:30Speaker 3: birthday last week. Thank you so much for all the
- 0:32Speaker 3: kind messages, the notes, the dms, the emails, the text.
- 0:35Speaker 2: Thank you, thank you, thank you. Delana took me out
- 0:37Speaker 2: you know where.
- 0:38Speaker 3: We went to Botino's on Friday with our friends Alex
- 0:41Speaker 3: and Sarah and we sat there and we drank way
- 0:43Speaker 3: too much champagne and had a lovely evening. So thank you,
- 0:46Speaker 3: thank you, thank you. Let's jump into the show. What
- 0:49Speaker 3: time is it, my friends?
- 0:50Speaker 2: It is tee type big story at the top of
- 0:53Speaker 2: the show.
- 0:54Speaker 3: So Blake Lively was spotted facetiming Ryan Reynolds at the
- 0:58Speaker 3: World Cup after the Taylor Swift wedding snub. So Blake
- 1:02Speaker 3: was there. She was with her new girl squad.
- 1:05Speaker 2: The fact I.
- 1:06Speaker 3: Do not recognize any of the other ladies in this
- 1:09Speaker 3: photograph tells you it's a very different squad than the
- 1:12Speaker 3: Taylor Swift squad. Now we're not judging here people on fame.
- 1:16Speaker 2: You can have the best squad in the world.
- 1:18Speaker 3: I do, none of whom are famous. Hanging out with
- 1:21Speaker 3: famous people just for the sake of it is dumb.
- 1:24Speaker 3: But we do know that Blake very much enjoys the
- 1:27Speaker 3: attention she posted this picture. This picture wasn't taken by accident.
- 1:32Speaker 3: It didn't pop up on Getty Images or the Associated press.
- 1:35Speaker 3: She posted this picture. She was in the stands. What
- 1:38Speaker 3: is noticeable is Ryan was not with her, and also too,
- 1:42Speaker 3: which is probably even more upsetting to Blake. Her seats
- 1:46Speaker 3: aren't quite as good now she's not sitting with Taylor Swifts.
- 1:51Speaker 3: And when you have a friend like Taylor, I'm lucky
- 1:54Speaker 3: enough to know they're not necessarily by friends. But we
- 1:57Speaker 3: know some famous people. When I rock out with my
- 1:59Speaker 3: face as friends or so, I mean you, mister, we
- 2:02Speaker 3: get a better table, We get a better seat. We do.
- 2:04Speaker 3: Like I know, if I rock up at a restaurant
- 2:07Speaker 3: with someone that sold eighty million records, you know who
- 2:10Speaker 3: I'm talking about, we will get a really good seat.
- 2:14Speaker 5: Now, if he's not with us. We could get to
- 2:16Speaker 5: the same place and we're gonna be suited in the back,
- 2:19Speaker 5: and that's just how life works. What do you think
- 2:21Speaker 5: about the adjustment. Blake is clearly, clearly sending us a
- 2:24Speaker 5: message that she's happy, she's out there, she's got her friends,
- 2:27Speaker 5: she's got girlfriends, she's not frying. What do you think
- 2:30Speaker 5: about all this.
- 2:31Speaker 4: Well, I think it's kind of her Blake Lively redemption tour.
- 2:37Speaker 4: You know, the case has finally come to kind of
- 2:40Speaker 4: a close and she has to kind of it didn't
- 2:45Speaker 4: go the way she wanted it to, so now she
- 2:47Speaker 4: has to rebuild this life. I'm happy, I have a
- 2:50Speaker 4: beautiful husband. We know that Ryan was in Canada at
- 2:53Speaker 4: a watching party and he was commentating the entire time. He's,
- 2:58Speaker 4: you know, very into the football sock. He owns a
- 3:00Speaker 4: small team, so it made sense that he went to
- 3:03Speaker 4: his hometown and was participating there. But she's got to
- 3:07Speaker 4: rebuild who people thought she was before this whole thing
- 3:10Speaker 4: went down with Justin Baldoni. So she is doing that
- 3:13Speaker 4: and you're gonna see pictures. I think leaning into the
- 3:16Speaker 4: family and friends is the best thing for her to
- 3:19Speaker 4: do right now. Instead of pushing projects, which just kind
- 3:22Speaker 4: of feels, you know, maybe a little desperate, like, look,
- 3:25Speaker 4: I'm living a happy life. I'm still in the room.
- 3:28Speaker 4: Maybe not the bust seats, but I'm still in the room.
- 3:30Speaker 4: And we know getting in the room is the first
- 3:32Speaker 4: step to get into the buss seat.
- 3:34Speaker 3: That's true, Miesty, that's true. Turn up, get into the room.
- 3:37Speaker 3: A really good point there. If I was her publicist,
- 3:40Speaker 3: die i am not. If I was working with her,
- 3:42Speaker 3: I'd say you need to lean into being a good
- 3:44Speaker 3: friend because that's where you were hurt the most. Nobody
- 3:47Speaker 3: ever claimed she was a bad mom. That just did
- 3:49Speaker 3: not happen.
- 3:50Speaker 2: She's a great mom.
- 3:51Speaker 3: Nobody claimed she was a bad wife. Her and Ryan
- 3:54Speaker 3: are clearly a couple where she has a problem. Her
- 3:57Speaker 3: achilles heel is being a badame friend and we know
- 4:01Speaker 3: that because of what's happened with Taylor. So I think,
- 4:04Speaker 3: actually it is so much smarter to show us photographs.
- 4:08Speaker 3: Have you been a good girlfriend than you've been a
- 4:10Speaker 3: good mommy or a good wife, because I think we
- 4:12Speaker 3: know that you are, and so find out what your
- 4:15Speaker 3: weakness is and then attack that. What is the weakness
- 4:19Speaker 3: that people say about you? What is the one thing
- 4:22Speaker 3: that people say about you. It is so interesting. I
- 4:26Speaker 3: heard criticism from Corey that when I first met Corey,
- 4:30Speaker 3: he said he was like very excited to be my friend,
- 4:33Speaker 3: and he asked a few people about me, and they said,
- 4:35Speaker 3: Rob Shooter is a very nice guy. However, he gets
- 4:38Speaker 3: bored very quickly and will find a new best friend
- 4:41Speaker 3: by the end of the week. Corey and I have
- 4:43Speaker 3: now been friends for five years. So the way to
- 4:46Speaker 3: prove that rumor wrong. The rumor does not have to
- 4:49Speaker 3: be true, by the way, but the way to prove
- 4:52Speaker 3: something wrong is by doing the opposite. And actually, I
- 4:56Speaker 3: would argue I'm a really good friends. There's people in
- 4:59Speaker 3: my life who I've known thirty forty fifty. Yes, I
- 5:03Speaker 3: hold onto paper very good. What would be thank you, mister?
- 5:06Speaker 3: What would be your a killer's here? What would be
- 5:08Speaker 3: the criticism? What do you have to push back on?
- 5:10Speaker 4: I have to push back on people thinking that I
- 5:13Speaker 4: am afraid to take bold chances. As we know, I
- 5:17Speaker 4: did a TV show once and that was probably a
- 5:19Speaker 4: very big ball chance. So I don't take them often.
- 5:23Speaker 4: But when I do their big swings, it's paid off
- 5:27Speaker 4: because I've had you as a friend for almost twenty years,
- 5:31Speaker 4: and that's the best part of doing the show.
- 5:33Speaker 2: Thank you. Thanks.
- 5:34Speaker 3: Let's point out another big swing. You started to make
- 5:36Speaker 3: some videos. On Friday, we were talking about how you
- 5:39Speaker 3: love bringing you gossip and celebrity news. I'm brilliant at it.
- 5:42Speaker 3: But at background, we are journalists, we are writers. Sit
- 5:46Speaker 3: mist behind a keyboard and ten minutes later you'll have
- 5:49Speaker 3: the best story of the night. However, if I told
- 5:52Speaker 3: you to tell it a video, it might be a
- 5:56Speaker 3: little bit more difficult for you to do. So you've
- 5:59Speaker 3: start doing these videos. So let's all support Misty on
- 6:03Speaker 3: her videos, which brings us to our pole question. After
- 6:05Speaker 3: the day, Blake Lively is trying to prove to the
- 6:08Speaker 3: world that she still has good friends, that she's out there,
- 6:11Speaker 3: She's got girlfriends were seen photographs of her smiling, having
- 6:14Speaker 3: a wonderful time.
- 6:16Speaker 2: Does it feel desperate? Do you read through it? Is
- 6:18Speaker 2: this desperate?
- 6:19Speaker 3: Is it better to just take a few months off
- 6:22Speaker 3: disappear You're so overexposed. Everybody is sick of talking about
- 6:25Speaker 3: just In Baldoni and Blake Lively and Taylor'swood. Maybe it's
- 6:28Speaker 3: time to take a minute off. What do you think
- 6:30Speaker 3: does it feel desperate, take a vote on our x page,
- 6:34Speaker 3: at Twitter page at Naughty Nice rob at Facebook page
- 6:38Speaker 3: is Naughty Gossip, and be sure to check back tomorrow
- 6:43Speaker 3: to hear your results. Hey missy, what are you working
- 6:46Speaker 3: on there?
- 6:48Speaker 4: Well, you know a lot of people when they hear
- 6:50Speaker 4: the name Jerry O'Connell, they just think he's the nicest
- 6:52Speaker 4: guy in the world. Yes, but he is admitting that
- 6:55Speaker 4: he did make one major mistake. So he's owning up
- 6:59Speaker 4: to having one of the messiest breakups in Hollywood. So
- 7:03Speaker 4: he had been teating Juliana Ransick. In her memoir, she
- 7:07Speaker 4: wrote about being dumped over his condo intercom, and he's
- 7:11Speaker 4: now saying that it very well could be true. I
- 7:14Speaker 4: want to say the cold word. I just want to
- 7:16Speaker 4: emphasize that even if you can't remember the exact words.
- 7:20Speaker 4: So he confessed he's terrible boyfriend, and he revealed that
- 7:24Speaker 4: another woman was inside the condo. So it's not very
- 7:26Speaker 4: well could be true. It was true when Juliana arrived,
- 7:30Speaker 4: and so instead of like dealing with this confrontation, which.
- 7:33Speaker 3: Would have been a little messy, he.
- 7:35Speaker 4: Just turned Juliana away at the girl at the gate.
- 7:38Speaker 4: And he's now praising her shop writing and turning his
- 7:42Speaker 4: bad behavior into a very memorable story. So sometimes you
- 7:46Speaker 4: got to fess up. I know it took twenty years,
- 7:48Speaker 4: but at least he's fessing up. I mean, Rob, have
- 7:51Speaker 4: you ever had to like I don't know, You've been
- 7:53Speaker 4: so happily married for a long time, never been in
- 7:56Speaker 4: this situation?
- 7:57Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean I've.
- 7:58Speaker 3: Been cool, like naughty, let's just say lies, Like I've
- 8:03Speaker 3: be called out when I'm meant to be somewhere and
- 8:04Speaker 3: I'm not. It's often with friends. With me, with Bruce,
- 8:07Speaker 3: I'm a solid as a rock, but with friends, I
- 8:09Speaker 3: take on too much. So one night I might be
- 8:11Speaker 3: out with one friend and I might get a text
- 8:13Speaker 3: from another saying where are you? And I pretend that
- 8:15Speaker 3: I'm home with a cold or I'm not really like
- 8:18Speaker 3: I have. I mean, I've done that. I tried not
- 8:19Speaker 3: to do it. I try to live the life that
- 8:21Speaker 3: I would be proud of as a young boy. I
- 8:23Speaker 3: always think, with ten year old Rob Shooter like this
- 8:27Speaker 3: version of you now and if the answer is yes,
- 8:29Speaker 3: then I'm normally doing something good. But I know Jerry
- 8:32Speaker 3: a little bit. He is the nicest guy, which is
- 8:34Speaker 3: why he is admitting to this. A lot of celebrities
- 8:37Speaker 3: would never ever be able to tell this story because
- 8:40Speaker 3: they'd be too embarrassed. He's a flawed guy. We all
- 8:42Speaker 3: are all flawed human beings. Because you mess up once
- 8:45Speaker 3: does not make you a bad person. It makes you
- 8:47Speaker 3: somebody that made a bad decision, and so this is
- 8:49Speaker 3: a bad decision. I love that he's talking about it.
- 8:52Speaker 3: Juliana Ransick was like my straight crush. She was my
- 8:55Speaker 3: friend when she was on E with Ryan Seacrest. I
- 8:58Speaker 3: used to see her all the time, would email text,
- 9:00Speaker 3: She was so kind to my career. She's the one
- 9:02Speaker 3: that really encouraged me to start doing TV. I knew
- 9:05Speaker 3: her when I was a publicist, and then she was like,
- 9:08Speaker 3: you should be on TV and she even arranged an
- 9:10Speaker 3: interview with me and E News. I didn't get it
- 9:13Speaker 3: because I wasn't going to move to LA. It was
- 9:14Speaker 3: when E News was based out of LA and I'm
- 9:16Speaker 3: not leaving my wonderful life here. But Juliana Ransack set
- 9:19Speaker 3: me up. She's one of those people who isn't just
- 9:21Speaker 3: our friends because we can be helpful to her and
- 9:23Speaker 3: we have a lot of those mystery You're an Ebaney
- 9:25Speaker 3: You're a major magazine. Everybody wants to be in that magazine.
- 9:29Speaker 3: And I do my thing too, so lots of people
- 9:32Speaker 3: will want to be my friend for for reasons that
- 9:34Speaker 3: are not necessarily me. But what I could do for
- 9:37Speaker 3: Julianna was not that she helped me more than I
- 9:40Speaker 3: ever helped her. She's really smart. I hope her book
- 9:43Speaker 3: goes back up the charts. That was years ago this
- 9:45Speaker 3: book came out, but it's a delicious read, all about Hollywood,
- 9:48Speaker 3: all about dating, really really fun and Jerry, I really
- 9:51Speaker 3: like that you are omitting this in your cheeky way. Okay,
- 9:54Speaker 3: moving along, where's Craig Melvin? So if you turned on
- 9:57Speaker 3: the Today Show? Where is he? He's missing? Well he's
- 9:59Speaker 3: on VOCA this week. It does look a little suspicious,
- 10:03Speaker 3: doesn't it, because last week there was an intruder at
- 10:05Speaker 3: the Today Show. Now he has disappeared. This was a
- 10:08Speaker 3: family vacation that was planned, So I do get you
- 10:12Speaker 3: don't want to let one crazy person, one intruder, one troublemaker,
- 10:17Speaker 3: ruin your family holiday. The kids were looking forward to it,
- 10:19Speaker 3: his wife was looking forward to it. Should Craig have
- 10:22Speaker 3: been at the show this week? Just approved to America
- 10:24Speaker 3: that he didn't run away maybe or maybe he should
- 10:28Speaker 3: just go on vacation with his kids. What would have
- 10:31Speaker 3: you done, mistyve would have you stayed at the show
- 10:33Speaker 3: this week saying I'm not leaving.
- 10:35Speaker 2: I'm going to prove them wrong? Or is a vacation
- 10:37Speaker 2: a vacation with your kids?
- 10:38Speaker 4: I mean, if he did out the rest of last week,
- 10:40Speaker 4: that's proof enough. He doesn't have to prove to anyone.
- 10:43Speaker 4: I mean if a you know, especially in our community,
- 10:46Speaker 4: family is everything. So I'm always say a family before anything.
- 10:51Speaker 4: So I'm not canceling the family plans. I'm going. I'm
- 10:54Speaker 4: gonna be there, And you know, it's a nice break
- 10:58Speaker 4: just from everything that happened. You know, the universe works
- 11:01Speaker 4: in such strange ways that they would have this trip
- 11:03Speaker 4: planned right after this happened. So it's like I'm already
- 11:06Speaker 4: taking it. I get to get away, I get a
- 11:09Speaker 4: moment to breathe.
- 11:10Speaker 2: It's all good, it's all good, It's all good. Okay.
- 11:13Speaker 3: What isn't so good here is that we all saw
- 11:15Speaker 3: Madonna performing get the halftime show she expected, and I
- 11:18Speaker 3: think a lot of us expected. The reason she did this,
- 11:21Speaker 3: she wasn't paid to do it. The reason she did
- 11:22Speaker 3: it is to sell albums. After you perform on a
- 11:26Speaker 3: big show. Normally, most often hopefully your albums go through
- 11:31Speaker 3: the roof. What is the actual numbers? What's going on
- 11:35Speaker 3: with the albums of Shakira, Biba, BTS and Madonna.
- 11:38Speaker 2: What's happening?
- 11:39Speaker 4: Yeah, so they all saw their albums surge in the
- 11:43Speaker 4: iTunes charts. You know, so the top ten after the broadcast,
- 11:46Speaker 4: Manada's new single and her classic hits failed to crack
- 11:50Speaker 4: the charts. So you know, she did that pre taped performance.
- 11:54Speaker 4: It kind of drew mixed reactions. We know she walked
- 11:57Speaker 4: out with two famous Brazilian soccer stars, but many of
- 12:02Speaker 4: viewers are questioning the creative direction and the song choices.
- 12:06Speaker 4: And you know, when we think of Madonna, I mean,
- 12:09Speaker 4: Madonna could go to an opening of an envelope and
- 12:13Speaker 4: it would have sold records. She's in a different phase
- 12:15Speaker 4: of her life. I hear confessions too is amazing, It's great,
- 12:19Speaker 4: and maybe it'll take a little bit longer. You know, well,
- 12:23Speaker 4: let's say she grew up with gen X. Maybe we
- 12:25Speaker 4: take a minute longer to go and buy something where
- 12:28Speaker 4: you know, gen Z is like right there on the
- 12:30Speaker 4: TikTok and the toych doing it. Yeah, I think we
- 12:33Speaker 4: might see the numbers go up. It might just be
- 12:35Speaker 4: more of a steady climb than like a huge jump.
- 12:38Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 12:38Speaker 3: The tough part of that argument is they did go
- 12:41Speaker 3: up for Shakira and Justin Bieber and BTS, so people
- 12:44Speaker 3: were buying records, they just chose not to buy Madonna's.
- 12:46Speaker 3: And I think we've got to be honestly. I love Madonna.
- 12:48Speaker 3: I think it was the song. I don't think it
- 12:51Speaker 3: was the smartest Madonna knows. I've been there, I've been
- 12:53Speaker 3: in stadiums and Madonna has set the place on fire.
- 12:56Speaker 3: Madonna knows how to get eighty thousand people dancing, I've
- 12:59Speaker 3: seen it.
- 12:59Speaker 2: But she vogue. She does like a prayer. She does like.
- 13:03Speaker 3: A virgin, like she does one of her Monster Monster hits.
- 13:07Speaker 3: And had she come out and done material girl or
- 13:09Speaker 3: like a prayer, that whole stadium would have gone nuts.
- 13:12Speaker 3: We saw her at Cochella with Sabrina Carpenter doing like
- 13:16Speaker 3: a prayer. It was brilliant. I think the other problem, too,
- 13:19Speaker 3: is that filming her in the garage behind the stage
- 13:23Speaker 3: was a big mistake because eighty thousand people didn't know
- 13:27Speaker 3: where Madonna was. They were watching her on a monitor.
- 13:29Speaker 3: They were standing in the stadium. They heard the music,
- 13:32Speaker 3: but they couldn't see her because she's behind. If you're
- 13:35Speaker 3: going to turn up, if you ask me to perform
- 13:37Speaker 3: at a halftime show, I don't want to perform in
- 13:39Speaker 3: my bathroom and.
- 13:40Speaker 2: Zoom it in.
- 13:40Speaker 3: I'm going to come and perform. And so I think
- 13:43Speaker 3: the whole thing was misguided and unfortunately a big missed opportunity. Okay, quickly,
- 13:48Speaker 3: before we get a break, we have a Prince Harry,
- 13:50Speaker 3: a rebrand exclusive. The Cheeky Chappie is back. So sources
- 13:54Speaker 3: tell me that Harry is done with being moody and
- 13:57Speaker 3: grumpy and he wants the old re back. Was on
- 14:00Speaker 3: James Corden's show after the World Cup and he was
- 14:03Speaker 3: really adorable. They asked him to rank the best British Harris,
- 14:07Speaker 3: Harry Styles Potter, Harry Potter, Prince Harry. It was just hilarious.
- 14:15Speaker 3: He played along. He was the old Harry. Now we
- 14:18Speaker 3: have to remember that in his book Spare, which he wrote,
- 14:21Speaker 3: it's his book, it's his words. We know we had
- 14:23Speaker 3: a ghost writer, but he signed off on that. So
- 14:25Speaker 3: that's evidence. In court, if we were in a court
- 14:28Speaker 3: that he said that whole image of being cheeky and
- 14:31Speaker 3: naughty was imposed on him by the palace, and he
- 14:34Speaker 3: was always a very serious, deep thinker. Nonsense, you were
- 14:38Speaker 3: not a deep thinker. And that's why we love you, Harry.
- 14:41Speaker 3: Be you. Whenever you try to be fancy, or whenever
- 14:44Speaker 3: you try to be another version of yourself, you always fail.
- 14:49Speaker 3: And I think for the last five six years, Harry's
- 14:51Speaker 3: been trying to be this ambassador, this very smart deep thinker.
- 14:55Speaker 3: He's been taking self help classes and he wants to
- 14:58Speaker 3: give us advice. And what he thinks is the psychic
- 15:01Speaker 3: of American young No, go out.
- 15:04Speaker 2: Play football, go to the pub.
- 15:06Speaker 5: Be you.
- 15:08Speaker 3: I'm not telling you anybody here to be goofy if
- 15:11Speaker 3: you're not naturally goofy. But if you are naturally goofy,
- 15:15Speaker 3: be if you're naturally serious, be you. The only way
- 15:18Speaker 3: you have any chance of winning it life is by
- 15:21Speaker 3: being the real you. When I started this show Mystery,
- 15:24Speaker 3: I try to be Diane Sawyer.
- 15:26Speaker 2: I try to be very smart, very.
- 15:29Speaker 3: And it's just not me. The reason the show's are
- 15:32Speaker 3: head is because we are.
- 15:34Speaker 4: A serious one. Like I mean, I definitely have a
- 15:37Speaker 4: goofy side, but people, you know, I am kind of
- 15:40Speaker 4: pretty serious, so I have to lean into that sometimes
- 15:44Speaker 4: and sometimes it throws people up because I am out
- 15:46Speaker 4: and I'm having fun. But I put a lot of
- 15:49Speaker 4: thought into pretty much everything I do on Stay, and
- 15:51Speaker 4: so if I'm honest about that, I think it comes
- 15:54Speaker 4: across more authentically.
- 15:55Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 15:56Speaker 3: Absolutely, be you everybody. Okay, we're going to take a
- 15:58Speaker 3: quick break and we will be right back. Welcome back
