In 1993, Rusty Wallace won 10 Cup races and lost the
• 0:08
  championship to Dale Earnhardt senior.
• 0:15
So it is very easy to have the most wins and not win the
• 0:22
  championship. On Saturday, somebody said
• 0:26
wouldn't it be a shame if Corey Heim were to go to Phoenix and
• 0:31
lose the championship with the most wins?
• 0:36
I said, what's that got to do with NASCAR?
• 0:40
That sounds to me like the New England Patriots when they won
• 0:45
the most games and then lost the Super Bowl.
• 0:49
They won all the games and lost Super Bowl.
• 0:52
And I got another one for you. What about Connor Zilich right
• 0:56
now? Connor Zilich, he's won 10 races
• 1:01
and he could lose the championship.
• 1:04
So you can go back into any type of sports you want. 1993 Rusty
• 1:10
Wallace by far won the most Cup races at 10 and finished second.
• 1:17
So when people jump on me and they go Wallace, you're insane,
• 1:24
you're crazy because you ain't thinking right.
• 1:26
If you win the most races and you don't win Phoenix, you don't
• 1:31
win the championship. That's all NASCAR's fault.
• 1:34
The championship, the playoffs is tainted.
• 1:38
It's a gimmick. I'm like, well, then it must be
• 1:40
a gimmick back in 1993. So we can dig as deep as we want
• 1:46
to dig. But we're going to race on and
• 1:48
we're going to determine the champion this year at Phoenix.
