- 0:01Now we play a little game, a little hypothetical game where we pass back
- 0:04and forth some brutal scenarios. We asked, what do you do? All
- 0:10right, Pike, buckle up, She's okay. Warning has been noted.
- 0:16All right. So you're the town mayor, Pike Taylor, mayor of Fargo.
- 0:21Dream I know, Amanda. You get a memo that a huge production
- 0:26company is coming to town. Okay, And a huge production company is coming
- 0:32to town and they want to spotlight what Fargo is known for. So you
- 0:36get tasked deciding what exactly that is, and you get to decide how to
- 0:40showcase it. So, Pike, I got what the town's known for.
- 0:51You get to decide what do you do? I mean, it could be
- 0:54anything. It doesn't have to be like, for instance, wood chipper,
- 0:57like something. It doesn't have to be that you get to create, like
- 1:00on the map. Now what it would be. We're gonna go about it.
- 1:03I know, stupid thing, I know. I was just giving you
- 1:04an idea of like that's a low hanging fruit. You can create it.
- 1:08It could be. I know what it could be. Okay, it's renowned
- 1:14local music scene. Oh, I think a whole documentary in that would be
- 1:18really really interesting. And I'm not just saying yeah, you are. I'm
- 1:23not just saying that because I'm in one of the local band have something fun
- 1:26that would be fun. I have some respect. It's not just me,
- 1:30Like I said, there's a ton of really great local I am aware very
- 1:34I don't see you ever at the Aquarium. I never saw you at the
- 1:38New Direction when that was open downtown. Huh yeah, exactly not yet.
- 1:42Okay, drunkenly stumbling into the windbreak when Tripwires playing does not count as supporting
- 1:48the local music. Okay, all right. I was hoping you were gonna
- 1:52do like loads of chocolate milk or something. Oh that was the obvious second
- 1:59choice was loads of chocolate milk. I just I was excited for you to
- 2:02come up with something ridiculous. But I'm what you did is you'll let me
- 2:07down. It's my duty as mayor to take things like that seriously. All
- 2:10right. By the way, good morning live on Facebook to Corey and Candae.
- 2:14We appreciate you putting up with us this morning. You don't just get
- 2:16to be mayor of this great city by goofing around. Alright, alright,
- 2:21you think mahoney, goofed around? Is that our mayor? Yes? Have
- 2:24you ever known him to goof around? I don't think so, it's right,
- 2:29I don't know. I don't know wall Looker before him ever goof he
- 2:31was a fun guy. Yeah, but there's a distinct line between fun and
- 2:37goof. All right, hit me, hit me with one. Oh,
- 2:40it's my turn, Amanda. You find yourself working at a bank. Radio
- 2:46didn't work out. So now you're at the front desk of a bank,
- 2:49okay, when a masked man comes in and he's got a finger gun pointed
- 2:54right at you. You finger gun, singy index, middle finger and a
- 3:00thumb and he points at you. He says, give me all the money
- 3:05in the back, put it in this burlap sack I brought with the one
- 3:09with the dollar sign on it. So, Amanda, really, I've been
- 3:16writing this since Tuesday. I hope you take it seriously. What do you
- 3:22do? You goof troop? I look out of it. Well, and
- 3:25I don't know if they really have these, but of course instantly I'm hitting
- 3:30the button under the counter. Nobody, no button, nobody, not the
- 3:34bank. You got a job at Okay. Then I'm gonna look him and
- 3:39go sir, take your little pu pew gun and get out of here.
- 3:44You're not taking the money. It's a hit finger gun. You have a
- 3:46family at home. Yeah, a finger gun. He's presenting the finger gun.
- 3:52But you don't know. As soon as you say now he reached it,
- 3:55he would have pulled out the real thing. Ain't nobody gonna pretend with
- 3:58a pew pew gun. I'm risking it. Why, it's not your money.
- 4:02You're just taking the job that seriously, Yes, don't ever, don't
- 4:05ever. I'm going I'm saying for you, for your family, all right,
- 4:11just get home safe. And that goes for anybody working at any of
- 4:14these jobs. No, you are supposed I think you are. Isn't that
- 4:16a rule? Money? Yeah, you do whatever they say? Or if
- 4:20people like people work at a Walgreens, if somebody comes in and steal stuff,
- 4:26you're just supposed to let them go. You don't don't do it.
- 4:29Yeah, you're not supposed to citizen's arrest or chase anybody down. That is
- 4:31true. Okay. I apologize, as difficult as that might be, because
- 4:34you do take it personally. I haven't been in a a career that that's
- 4:40happened to me or I know of it. Somebody, somebody came in here
- 4:44and said, give me all the microphones we would have to yet. Okay,
- 4:49all right, bike, you wake up one morning to a sound of
- 4:53a cat. You rollover and that cat is in your bed. But it's
- 4:58not just an organ cat. It's a sweet orange tabby cat. Oddly enough,
- 5:02it doesn't just mew, It can talk. The cat looks right at
- 5:08you, right right by your head, tail wrapped around your neck, looks
- 5:13right at you. Does I know everyverything about you, and I'm going to
- 5:18tell every dirty little secret about you if you don't take care of me.
- 5:24And I know you're a big cat guy, so this shouldn't be hard,
- 5:30allergic. That's the reason. Remember you degrading the cat Pumpkin actually similar to
- 5:34the one you're describing, who passed away sadly and having nothing but disrespect for
- 5:41it. I was sad for you when Pumpkin passed. Stop your barn cat
- 5:46right was an outside cat? Yeah no, that's fine. In the shop
- 5:51it was heated. Well, let me make this a little bit more personal.
- 5:55Then this cat's name happens to be shocking Pumpkin rounded And this cat's only
- 6:01requests is that you take care of it the rest of its life. And
- 6:04just so you know, this cat is like death becomes her living forever,
- 6:11death becomes her. You've never seen that movie? Why was that Goldie on?
- 6:15Where you get the shot and then you live forever. Death becomes her
- 6:18household film. I just told you I hadn't seen how to Lose a guy
- 6:23in ten days? You think guys saw death to her? You're killing me.
- 6:25We need to have a movie night anyway. So the cat wants to
- 6:28make sure that you what does it want? You have to carry this cat
- 6:35around for the rest of your life in like a man purse. Oh,
- 6:40now you're changing the situation for the rest of your life. Otherwise, it's
- 6:45gonna tell you the world all your journey little secrets. Okay, I told
- 6:50you to buckle up, Pike. Can I hit the thing you please?
- 6:55With all do respect, all due respect? What does that even mean?
- 7:03What do you do? What do you Okay? First of all, what
- 7:05do you think I've got buried away here? That it's everything? I mean,
- 7:12any little detail, all the things your Google search history. Oh,
- 7:17that's just published everything. Pumpkin is gonna puts it out. I am gonna
- 7:25go with the cat. I have to have it in a sling like all
- 7:29the time. Yeah, I think of like The Hangover. I don't know.
- 7:30Have you seen that movie? Yeah, I've seen all three? Okay,
- 7:33got it like that Zach fell gallifan Aka style. Okay, but the
- 7:39way it's the worst punishment. I really appreciate Corey Schneider over here, one
- 7:43of our top fans saying, good movie. He is well aware of what
- 7:46a good movie is. He must be talking about The Hangover. Yeay,
- 7:48man of final What do you do here on this lovely day? You're at
- 7:53your husband's work, all staff labor day barbecue, your husband Nick. Of
- 7:58course, you know, moving up in the company, you gotta attend these
- 8:01kind of functions. Well, you're standing over by the hot dogs, when
- 8:05suddenly a woman comes up to Nick, your husband, and says, there
- 8:11he is. There's my work husband, and gives him a big hug.
- 8:16You've never seen this lady before. She appears to be twenty somethings, absolutely
- 8:22gorgeous tattoos on her arms. She looks at you and says, Hi,
- 8:28I don't think i've heard about you. Are you Nick's sister? I'm Tina
- 8:35and sticks her hand out to shake yours Tina, Tina, Oh just a
- 8:46smoke show? What do you do? There's only one line in here that
- 8:52you messed up because Mama might. I wouldn't throw down. I would be
- 8:54very passive aggressive about it either way. But would you let Tina know?
- 9:01Let Tina know where Mama's at? But it was the he's not a tattoo
- 9:07person. So I would have been like, okay, Oh, so you
- 9:11think you're safe because she's got tattoos on her arms? Totally like, oh,
- 9:18get another sleeve? Did maybe Nicol help her pick out her next tattoo?
- 9:20Oh? Are you just conceding that they're together now? Not a chance.
- 9:26No, I would have some words. I would say, hi Tina,
- 9:30and then you know what to do. I'd probably take out my phone
- 9:33and show her all of our beautiful children, invite her over crazy like a
- 9:39minute in the morning. Big nty eight point seven, Amanda stills. Let's
- 9:43see, I have never been sick from Chinese food. In fact, the
- 9:46amount I eat at a buffet and you've seen it, I am you would
- 9:50think it would make any normal person. See, it makes people sick watching
- 9:54you eat that much food. Yes, that's a nice it's a lot of
- 9:58like, yeah, it's a buffet, it's a point you get my money's
- 10:01worth. Actually sounds really good right now. I would love if anybody were
- 10:05to ask me, Hey, do you want to go have Chinese food for
- 10:05lunch? I would say yes, anybody okay seven oh one two eight ol
- 10:11one ninety eight seven up for grabs? Lunch with Pike? Are you paying?
- 10:15No? Oh gotcha, No, you just get to be within company
- 10:18of course. Yeah. And it'd have to be after one because I gotta
- 10:22work till one, so it'd be a late lunch, but still little mid
- 10:26days buffet. You know, it's tricky when you start, when you start
- 10:28going to a Chinese buffet in like the mid afternoon, you're really running the
- 10:33risk of what oh just fresh. Yeah, they've they're passed the lunch cook
- 10:37and they're not yet to the day. Like my brother and I we went
- 10:39to the one in Morehead, one of the ones I won't name the one.
- 10:43We'll get there. It was probably two pm. Literally, they said,
- 10:46hey, you might want to go look at the fe like before you
- 10:48pay, And I was so desperate and hungry. I saw it and the
- 10:52rice was like rock hard. You know, everything was just cold, but
- 10:56you were just you. We still tried and and then it was so bad.
- 11:00I just finally said, Okay, I know you guys already made us
- 11:03the offer to leave. We're like, we're ready to leave now. So
- 11:05we got a refund. Him left. Really there's a little lesson, don't
- 11:09go to Chinese? Do you want that tea? Or should we just talk
- 11:11about Chinese? Oh? Yeah, because I know what what do you have?
- 11:13What do you have for stories? Actually? Really heartbreaking news. Did
- 11:16you see this? Yesterday? Comedian Bob Newhart passed away ninety six? Just
- 11:20sad though, just in general, what really heartbreaking? You torn up about
- 11:26it? It was just one of those He's an icon absolutely, seventies eighties
- 11:31shows a lot of different things. I know, and the newer generation will
- 11:35remember him as Will Ferrell's dad the Empire State Building. Last night they what
- 11:39it's not Will Ferrell's dad off of Elf? Did I forget that? Yeah?
- 11:43You left that out. He was his character's dad in the movie Elf.
- 11:50You'll probably know him as Will Ferrell's dad in Elf. It's amazing when
- 11:54like two words can doe to a sentence. Quite the claim, Quite the
- 11:58claim, that's a yeah, really good run. Obviously a legend. They
- 12:01put him on the Empire State Building and they put on there we will miss
- 12:05you Papa, of course in the elf costume. So that was that was
- 12:09a sweet little thing. Just shut her down. They put shut her down.
- 12:15Before the funeral, they put his body up yeas Kate Hudson and Matthew
- 12:18McConaughey, both of them don't wear deodorant. They both were in a lot
- 12:22of rom coms together, and they sat down for an interview and somebody was
- 12:26like, gosh, does he stang? Because of course you're thinking, if
- 12:31you're gonna be kissing somebody or you know, doing that, you're gonna want
- 12:35him smell good. She goes, yeah, I could smell him. But
- 12:37she also says I go all naturelle as well, and the movie had to
- 12:41lose a guy in ten days. She dished that if somebody put together a
- 12:43good script, they would both be down to do a sequel on that,
- 12:48which would be great. You know, when I die, would you mind
- 12:52putting me up on the isn't the Block nine building the big one downtown?
- 12:56Propped me up there for a few days? Would you what would be your
- 13:00He was Bob Newton was elf Bob newtonart guy. Do you really were torn
- 13:05up about it? Weren't you? Bob Newhart absolutely heartbroken? What about him?
- 13:13Was in the elf costume? What would you want to be? We've
- 13:15had a lot of versions of you, Pike. Would you be Speedo Pike,
- 13:18sax Man Pike, completely completely gol Pip. It'd be sort of a
- 13:24public viewing what is wrong with you? You're weird? I'm dead still even
- 13:30worse, you think it's weird that I'm requesting you put my naked dead body
- 13:35up on the Block nine building downtown after I pass next, Well, then
- 13:39that's you. What is next? Ingrid Andress? Oh yeah, this guy,
- 13:45this girl you might know where from such hits as favorite. There are
- 13:56some people who like yourself. Was the first time you had really heard from
- 14:01her at all, and Monday that was just it was not good. We
- 14:05did find out she said she was going to rehab. Still no word on
- 14:09whether she entered a rehab facility or not. But the reason I'm talking about
- 14:13it is her knew. Her music has spiked like fifty percent since Monday,
- 14:16more hearts than mine. Great song. Oh yeah, I was not aware,
- 14:20but I did check out some of her stuff, much like it sounds
- 14:24like a lot of people had to. But yeah, yeah, I don't
- 14:26know if she'll actually go to rehab or not. I don't think people care
- 14:28enough about this. Sounds callous. I'm sure, of course people care about
- 14:31her, her family and friends, but I don't think we care enough to
- 14:35be like checking in going you better have gone. You you better not lie
- 14:39about going to rehab. And she just steps away for a little bit.
- 14:41Just like anything, people make mistakes. You just got to move on from
- 14:45them. Yeah, I mean, there's at least she wasn't driving. She
- 14:48was just singing while drunk. Just happen to be the national anthem. Yeah,
- 14:52it's a big sum big hit, one of a Francis Scott Key's finest
- 14:58You know that is I do? Yeah? You do? I bet you
- 15:01do? Are you? Bob Newton's dad new Heart in the morning. I'm
- 15:09trying to enjoy the summer as much as you can, because you know,
- 15:11we're still in the middle of it. Despite what you know. The Home
- 15:15Depots of the world wants you to think, because did you see this,
- 15:18They've already got their twelve foot skeleton in stock wow, pretty much declaring.
- 15:24I mean, I mean, just get out the freaking Christmas trees. Well,
- 15:28and a lot of people do because we're coming up on is it Christmas
- 15:31in July? For some of these people, like they do those promos,
- 15:33so they start doing Yeah, I'm like, I'm good here. Well that's
- 15:39like a funny, like, oh, we're halfway there, we'll pretend it's
- 15:41Christmas. But people buying actual Halloween decoration decorations and going through that process right
- 15:46now, that's insane. Well it is. Have you seen any of your
- 15:50neighbors with it. It's a twelve foot decorative skeleton called Skelley. Is it
- 15:54purple? No, it's classic skeleton color. Okay, because we have one
- 15:58in our neighborhood and it's really really tough, and it's purple, and it's
- 16:00really kind of creepy. I mean, I guess I'm not saying that they
- 16:03don't have purple. And I feel like it's actually bigger than twelve feet really,
- 16:08yes, well twelve feet is pretty sizable, I know. Would you
- 16:12now, are you a fan of people going all out like that in your
- 16:15neighborhood or do you kind of just seek really think like just stop I'm kind
- 16:18of more of the classic, you know, white lights, that kind of
- 16:22thing. More power to you if you want to decorate. To me,
- 16:26it looks the little colluttery and some of them are nicely put together, like
- 16:32I don't mind, you know, the big candy canes that people were putting
- 16:34out, and if it's decorated, nice and you have like a Santa,
- 16:37But I don't think you need You don't need every character, all of the
- 16:42things, activity set, frosty, we don't need all of that, correct
- 16:47And like the blow up, Yeah, that's the we had on the big
- 16:49blow up things. They really got popular quick they did. And I get
- 16:53that they're easy and whatever, but then when they're I'm terrible. But then
- 16:59when they're down, you know what I mean, it's like when they don't
- 17:00have them up and I'll lit up during the day. It's like you just
- 17:03have like this deflated yeah, like this deflated Santa sack just sitting there on
- 17:08the ground, big flimsy sack. Not okay for me, not I'm not.
- 17:12I'm not a fan of that. But maybe you should to each their
- 17:17own. Maybe you should start campaigning for an h OA in your neighborhood and
- 17:19you can lead the charge. I don't. I don't think I'm up for
- 17:22that. No, Ata, aren't you? Aren't you working on that?
- 17:26Well? I put it in my paperwork. It's funny. I wonder if
- 17:30I got approved or how that works. I don't know if there's a process
- 17:33for that or not. Maybe there's a they've probably been vetting me all some
- 17:37I'm just waiting to see. But after hearing your thoughts on you know,
- 17:40neighborhood clutter, they probably think you're perfect for the job. Wait a minute,
- 17:44this woman sounds exactly like who we want in the morning on seven?
- 17:51Could it be? Could it? Could it finally be the death of dating
- 17:55apps? Generation Z is leading the charge to kill them off because it turns
- 18:00out I had no idea that they prefer to meet their partners in actual,
- 18:06real life situations rather than just on a dating app. Well, I think
- 18:08that would be the ideal situation. But is that ideal anymore? You know
- 18:14what I mean? People I feel like are when you're out and about,
- 18:18you see people like locked in their phones. I don't think people are as
- 18:21I'm not gonna say aggressive, but you know what I mean, like in
- 18:23situations? Why would you you know, Why would you need to approach somebody
- 18:27at a bar or something when you when you know you have ten times as
- 18:32many people available right there on your phone. Yeah. I actually have a
- 18:34girlfriend who is maybe thinking about going into the dating app world, and so
- 18:40she was talking to me about this and I don't even know where to start,
- 18:44and so she was going through because I'm like, what are the ones
- 18:47anymore, especially the ones that aren't just hookup apps? Or are they all?
- 18:51No? There were? What you make them? Like Tinder? That's
- 18:53true. I mean you just make it clear what you're there for. That
- 18:56is a part of your bio. Trust me. I'm djaying weddings now and
- 19:00I've talked to a lot of couples. I always ask how they met,
- 19:02and a shocking amount of them met on Tinders. So because it doesn't that
- 19:06feel like that's this we were in this generation, whether it be COVID or
- 19:08whatever it is. I mean, if you met somebody in the last five
- 19:11years, that's probably the way it went down. Probably well, gen Z
- 19:15they preferred the other way though, according to this a new survey they just
- 19:18commissioned asking a bunch of young daters how they prefer to meet their partner and
- 19:22dating apps were not on top of the list. Actually it was real life
- 19:26unconventional settings such as virtual reality. You see, and that almost feels kind
- 19:33of the same like the gaming situation, right and very bizarre, but okay,
- 19:37don't even know how that would work. Protests and uh oh this last
- 19:41one interested funerals was on the list funerals falling in love at a funeral?
- 19:48Have you ever? I know, and I feel like most of the funerals
- 19:51should go to It's a relative yeah, right, I can't say that I've
- 19:55ever even felt the least been aroused at a funeral. No, definitely,
- 19:59not not a sentence I thought i'd say today, But if I got to
- 20:03say it, I'll do it. Yeah, there's no moment. I mean,
- 20:04I guess there's some consoling, maybe that is going on, but I
- 20:07think you're just so usually distraught. You know, sometimes if you do go
- 20:12to a funeral and you're sort of like a fringe person, like you kind
- 20:15of knew them, or you're there to support their niece or something. Usually
- 20:19there's like and I'm not saying like an after party after a funeral, but
- 20:22there's you know, the people who are mourning the last will hit up a
- 20:26bar or do something. So maybe there, I don't know. I do
- 20:29like where they're headed though, I think that it sounds very refreshing to get
- 20:33back to the basics of what would be dating. It just sounds so exhausting.
- 20:37Yeah, well yeah, the funeral thing. I mean, I'm trying
- 20:40to think of the pros here and it's a moment where people are vulnerable or
- 20:44like emotions are you know what I mean. True, there's kind of like
- 20:47this overlying theme of geez, you just never know. You gotta you gotta
- 20:51live life while you while we're here. It's short. Yeah, Now I'm
- 20:53you know, if you're like if it was your brother who passed that you
- 20:57probably aren't seeking out intimate relationships. Probably not. Yeah, so interesting.
- 21:03So yeah, maybe if you're looking to date and dating apps aren't working for
- 21:07you, bumble has just been a bumble. The thing I was I totally
- 21:11was going to text you yesterday when I was talking to this girlfriend because I
- 21:15remember hearing about hinge You're going to text me. Yeah, I feel like
- 21:18you're in the know, you know, like what literally never been on a
- 21:22dating app? No, but you have friends that are like still barely one
- 21:26single friend. Really, I'm an old, old man. I forget it's
- 21:32all that's said. Yeah, I mean, I hear of hinge, I
- 21:34hear of bumble tinder. But turns out funerals are the better options. So
- 21:38why don't you just start. I'll just tell her attending random tell your friend.
- 21:41Yeah, let's just hit up the obituary section today. Now here's what
- 21:48you need to know. In his first public speech since Saturday's assassination attempt,
- 21:52Donald Trump delivered the longest convention speech in history during the final night of the
- 21:56Republican National Convention. He was speaking for just over an hour and a half,
- 22:00but he did start out by talking about how Saturday happened. The amazing
- 22:04thing is that, prior to the shot, if I had not moved my
- 22:08head at that very last instant, the assassin's bullet would have perfectly hit its
- 22:15mark, and I would not be here tonight. We would not be together.
- 22:22There were a lot of tears in the audience, and I think people
- 22:23watching at home. Trump did announce it over six point three million dollars had
- 22:27already been raised for the victims that work shot, including the one who was
- 22:30fatally shot. Of course, he did say that it cannot compensate. The
- 22:37great movement in public and behind the scenes to convince President Biden to drop out
- 22:40of the race may actually happen. According to Newsmax, this is one commentator
- 22:45last night, Cora al Courd to multiple Democratic sources, this is happening all
- 22:48of a sudden. Everyone said it would happen gradually and then all at once,
- 22:51and that's what's happening. According to my sources, President Biden has agreed
- 22:55to step down as a Democratic nominee. Ah may what happened as early as
- 22:57this weekend. The speech has been d for him. I love the guy.
- 23:00Oh man, ah man a man. Really that's the only that's the
- 23:06only source I'm seeing of that. I mean, that's just obviously his source
- 23:08is saying. So we'll see if it's credible. But yeah, we are
- 23:11finding out. Biden will continue on as president and he would not endorse Vice
- 23:15President Kamala Harris as his successor. Last night at the RNC, some people
- 23:19were saying that maybe Michelle Obama would be running. I mean, there's just
- 23:22there's a lot of speculation out there and we don't know until we actually get
- 23:26a speech. This was shocking. Did you see. Microsoft had a worldwide
- 23:30outage last night on their cloud services. A lot of people's flights. They're
- 23:33waking up this morning going well, why is it canceled? Why is it
- 23:34delayed? We ended up finding out American Airlines, Delta, United, Allegiance,
- 23:40they all had to be grounded by the FFA because of it. Geez,
- 23:41can you imagine that the reason the local four h club had the ground
- 23:48the fly We have some problems, but I mean it messed with Visa,
- 23:51ADT security, Amazon, I mean a lot of different things that were using
- 23:56Microsoft, like everyone, well not me. That's why I put my trust
- 24:00in Tim Apple, Old Tim Tim Apple. You're not You're not familiar with
- 24:08Tim Apple. I don't think I know Tim Apple. We always joke about
- 24:11it's speaking of Trump. It was one of his speeches where he was introducing
- 24:15Tim Tim Cook, the CEO of Apple. Yeah, he said, uh,
- 24:19thank you, Tim Apple, and he called it Tim Apple. Trust
- 24:23me. For a girl who gets her words mixed up quite often, I
- 24:26can understand when your mind's going a few different directions. Microsoft did say that
- 24:30everything is up and running, although some people are still reporting issues. Whether
- 24:34today we could see a little bit of ring kind of rolling through this morning.
- 24:37Nothing that's going to stick around. It is going to be a hot
- 24:38one today, Sonny, I have eighty six. I would like to play
- 24:42the actual clip. Do we have time yet? Okay? This is This
- 24:47is Donald Trump introducing the Apple CEO. Tim Cook is his name, Arement.
- 24:52We appreciate it very much, Tim Apple. But we're it's a little
- 24:57thing. It's so dumb, but it's just entertain Damn Apple Apple. Oh
- 25:02my gosh. We do have a lot of big stuff going on. Of
- 25:04course, the Pop two thousand steer is tonight. We're gonna give you a
- 25:07chance to win tickets to that. Still, we also have that big Girls
- 25:11weekend get away for you and nine friends. Thanks for our friends at Soda
- 25:15Lake Properties and Fargo Center for Dermatology. Your last chance to get in on
- 25:18that go to Big nine eighty seven dot com. Like a man in the
- 25:23morning on Big Nutty eight point seven. Now you know, this community is
- 25:27no stranger to a dog hunt, A citywide man hunt for a dog.
- 25:33Yeah. I feel like there's been a lot of them around the area lately.
- 25:36Got a missing dogs. Of course, the infamous one was a last
- 25:37fall, the UH service dog that was gone. What was the name again?
- 25:41Yes, Ruby, Ruby, Ruby, so so sad. No luck
- 25:45on Ruby, right, no luck on Ruby. But we did find uh
- 25:48did you see the one in the Lakes area, kind of by Ottertail,
- 25:51that golden retriever that went missing during the Fourth of July fireworks. A week
- 25:55later, that dog was found. No way, Yes, isn't that any
- 25:57The dog ran off during the Yes, it was on a leash and everything
- 26:00and it just kind of got away. But yes, that dog was found.
- 26:03Well here's another missing dog, now not in our community, thankfully,
- 26:07but this poor dog, this Lab retriever mix, went missing and somehow got
- 26:14its head stuck inside of a bowl, now a bull like, like a
- 26:19very deep bowl, deep enough to fit well, well, a doghead.
- 26:25I'm really just trying to see how that's possible. I'll take a look at
- 26:26the photo here. Probably thought the bull was its bull, it's dog bull
- 26:30yep. And it's covered the entire head. So picture like a you know,
- 26:36like an astronaut. Yep, this dog. That's kind of what this
- 26:37looks like. So the dog is running around the town. People keep spotting
- 26:41this what they call now jughead. They've nicknamed the dog. I know right,
- 26:45being I can't call the dog a jug head. Well, it got
- 26:49the nickname Jughead. So the city was just on a massive hunt for this
- 26:53dog. In fact, the police got involved. They started launching drones,
- 26:57so they called in all the stops, yeah, to find Jughead. Well,
- 27:03later that day, neighbors reported a woman crawling under a home to rescue
- 27:07the dog and they found it. Oh that's so good. Also very sad
- 27:11because it's like there's one hundred degrees here in Texas, which is where this
- 27:15dog was missing. That you know, with your imagine your head in a
- 27:18bowl. But let's get a bowl out of the break room and just put
- 27:22your head in it for a little bit. Yeah, because I'm assuming that
- 27:26it's covering this dog is not able to really drink anything then, right,
- 27:30absolutely, unless somehow the dog figured out how to get water in the bowl,
- 27:34Like have you stopped your hand pond? But then you're like drowning yourself.
- 27:38That's true. Imagine that. Oh gosh, I mean just it.
- 27:42I mean, at some point that might be the best option. So jug
- 27:48Head was found. Yea great news everything. Jug that's fine. Now I
- 27:51don't know what the actual name is. They'd have to ask but yeah,
- 27:55uh. There's so many scams though that people are falling for on social media
- 27:59right now, as far as missing dogs, about missing dogs and all of
- 28:03it. It's wild to me, and missing people that aren't like little kids,
- 28:07like what are we doing? Can we please just shut down? It's
- 28:10a Facebook group, I want to say. It's like Fargo, more Head,
- 28:14Sail like something or another. It's just one of these groups that you
- 28:17can sell stuff. Yeah, people are such and I don't want to be
- 28:21mean because I'm maybe more aware than they are, but just the sharing of
- 28:25you, right, like a dog that's been abused, like this dog was
- 28:27found in hashtag more head Yeah, and it's like the owner blah blah blah,
- 28:33or this kid was missing or this old person was missing. It is
- 28:36amazing to me how many of my friends share them, not realizing because you
- 28:41you instantly, because like all of us, you're just kinda scrolling through.
- 28:42You see you're like, oh my gosh, I want to share this,
- 28:45but you're not really reading, seeing or understanding that it's I get so,
- 28:51man, I shouldn't. But then every time you see somebody share it,
- 28:52you look at the comment. There's one comment and it's somebody saying this is
- 28:56a scam because we're starting to catch on. But obviously every day there's a
- 29:00new sucker fallen for it. And I don't even know what the end goal
- 29:03is, how that it is really weird and who are these dogs in pictures?
- 29:07Of right? They in the can? I think what happens is the
- 29:11post ends up getting you can't comment on the actual post, so then people
- 29:14share it like crazy, and then the original poster changes it to like something
- 29:18else where they're selling selling ray bands or something that makes sense. It's always
- 29:22just a scam. I know, you gotta be cared. Yesterday I met
- 29:25my mom for coffee, and she was pretty excited about this text she got.
- 29:30Somebody just out of nowhere got her number and knews that she'd be a
- 29:32great option for a data entry position work from home for sixty bucks an hour.
- 29:37Oh woeah? Really really a good operation? Did she have to do?
- 29:38In order to land that gig? They wanted her to set up some
- 29:42app. You had to download this app called telegram, and and she was
- 29:48working on it. She she was working on it, and she's like,
- 29:49I just found I figured I would ask you, my mom without even hearing
- 29:53another detail about this, like, yes, it's a scam, Yeah it
- 29:57is. It happens thankfully old block was my mom couldn't download the app.
- 30:00She was having a heart she forgot her Apple ID. So that was a
- 30:04welcome road bock. Yeah, one time like it, Amanda in the morning
- 30:10on Big think about it, like the luckiest moment you've had in your life,
- 30:15like winning something, because everybody says, I mean when we give stuff
- 30:18away, it's it's a very common response for the caller to say, I
- 30:22never win anything. Yeah, the only thing I've ever won, and it
- 30:26is great. It's a bretty amazing meat I am a meat raffle quill.
- 30:32Amanda's really established herself as no let me let me talk. I know what
- 30:36you're about to do. I know you know what I mean, and you
- 30:37know what It's true. This is what happens. You all see on Amanda's
- 30:41social media or Facebook, her winning meat raffle after meat raffle, and you
- 30:45think, with this lady, what a meat raffle queen. That's what she
- 30:48wants you to think. Meanwhile, Pike here sees the backside of it,
- 30:52sees the other side. Not true. She's Amanda going to the ATM putting
- 30:57hundreds of dollars into the it's such a lot, all but ensuring that she'll
- 31:03win something at the meat raffle last week Local seven oh one. Well,
- 31:06let me guess, put in five bucks, because that's what it is to
- 31:08play one in the third round. So five bucks for that whole breakfast pack.
- 31:12Are you kidding me? That's what you say every time? Not true?
- 31:15Okay, sometimes, yeah, exactly, but that's very rare. My
- 31:19point is you go deep enough that you could just go to Costco and get
- 31:25twice the amount of meat. First of all, charity, second of all,
- 31:27not as fun. All right, okay, I guess well, nobody's
- 31:33as lucky as this lady woman in Virginia went to the gas station. She's
- 31:37a she's a lottery player, you know. So she got one ticket with
- 31:41her her blocky numbers, which were five five five five zero. You can
- 31:48pick the same number. She did the same number six times. Now,
- 31:52this isn't a powerball, different lottery, but it ended up being correct.
- 31:55So all six of the tickets she got, which were identical, of course,
- 31:57all winners to one hundred and eighty thousand dollars. Really, this lady
- 32:01luckiest lady in the world. Do you ever play the lottery scratch offs?
- 32:05Even when it's like, oh, it's a billion dollars. I stopped when
- 32:08we the pot used to come around the office, and I always felt like,
- 32:12if I don't put five bucks in, this is gonna be the one
- 32:15time of office pool is gonna win. I don't think I've ever done that.
- 32:17I've never purchased a lottery ticket. Never once I have either. I
- 32:22mean I was hooked on scratch offs. Like as a young man. We
- 32:25used to you know, now you got to be eighteen in Minnesota anyway to
- 32:29play scratch offs. Yeah, so we were, of course sixteen going into
- 32:31gas stations buying scratch offs, you know. I mean my mom used to
- 32:36buy from me when I was a kid, which probably not to throw my
- 32:38mom under the bus here, but that might have had something to do with
- 32:42it. You know. So my buddies and I we just sit outside this
- 32:45gas station. There was one in more Head there, I guess Dilworth.
- 32:49You could just go in there and they would never id you, never question
- 32:52it. We were obviously, trust me, I was not an old looking
- 32:54high school student, but weren't you? Was it really that fun? Though,
- 32:58I mean, I guess it kind of felt elias, but ultimately it
- 33:00probably weren't winning much, if anything. You kidding. I'll never forget the
- 33:05night that now was I probably one hundred and fifty dollars into buying strategy,
- 33:08saying and who has this kind of money? In high school? Hey,
- 33:12artbiast was paying seven twenty five an hour, and I got as many hours
- 33:15as I wanted. Fair enough, the expenses were minimal at the time. Okay,
