Rochester's Wild Ride to NBC
Aired: Nov 14th, 1948. Jack Benny's chauffeur-driven commute to the studio turns into a minor traffic disaster when Rochester clips a vintage electric car at a stoplight. Once inside NBC, Jack trades barbed compliments with the ever-vain announcer Don Wilson over a mixed-up sandwich order, before a phone call reveals Mary Livingstone still hasn't shown up for rehearsal. A classic slice of Benny's ensemble bickering, packed with running gags about his ancient Maxwell and Don's waistline.
