  A long time ago, the NASCAR teams were trying to get

  everything cheaper, so Race Team Alliance was started.

  Remember this RTA. Hey, Herman, what does RTA stand

  for? It stands for race team

  alliance. Race team Alliance is made-up of

  some people, and they represent all the NASCAR Cup car owners.

  Now, that's important to understand Who signed this, who

  signed RTA, who is part of it? All the Cup car owners, all of

  them, They're like, yeah, we want to be part of the Race Team

  Alliance. So Race Team Alliance started

  simple, doing some things like it was rumoured that they were

  buying diesel fuel in bulk to buy diesel fuel cheaper.

  You know, they leave Charlotte, NC and all the way out to

  Phoenix. You know that that's a long

  trip. They burn a lot of diesel fuel.

  Well, as time went on, Race Team Alliance morphed into a lot of

  different things. And one thing it morphed into

  was meeting with NASCAR. So RTA represents all the NASCAR

  teams. So it morphed into let's have a

  meeting with NASCAR. Let's get a charter system.

  Now, this is where it gets sticky.

  And this is where you're smarter than me.

  So to me, the charter system was created by RTA and NASCAR to

  make the race teams happy. Then inside the RTA was drivers

  to tell NASCAR what's wrong. Now, I do know all these people

  that represent RTA, but I'm just not going to say their names.

  That way you don't go attacking them.

  But they're real drivers and the people that run the RTA are real

  business people. Let's just say they're not dumb.

  So they started negotiating with NASCAR and in the end they

  created the charter system. Let let's have a little comedy

  with it. NASCAR said, all right, we're

  going to shut your ass up. We're going to throw you a bone.

  We like this. We're going to give you the

  charter system. Charter system is supposed to be

  something like you. You're guaranteed a spot in

  every race and we'll give you $141,000 per race.

  Sounds like a pretty good deal to me because Mark Martin says

  a sudden when you get going, it has unintended consequences.

  So everything NASCAR has done, it sounds good, it goes good,

  but then it has unintended consequences.

  Now here's my opinion. NASCAR really messed up when

  they started the charter system. They should have never, never

  done it because when you start things like this now people are

  going to go, we don't like this. So NASCAR and RTA, they, they

  started working together and NASCAR got tired of the charter

  system contract. So NASCAR said, all right, this

  is our last offer, take it or leave it.

  So all the big dogs like Penske and Hendrick, all the Super, you

  know, billionaires, not millionaires, but billionaires.

  Rodger Penske worth a couple billion or so or more.

  We're tired of, we're tired of messing with NASCAR.

  Most, most of the teams, they don't like it.

  So don't let anybody fool you. Most likely this is going to be
