Speaker 1: What's up, everyone, and welcome to another episode of the
• 0:03
Speaker 1: Epstein Chronicles. Ever since the US Virgin Islands attempted to
• 0:09
Speaker 1: make themselves a victim of Jeffrey Epstein, I've been very
• 0:13
Speaker 1: skeptical of everything they've done. And now that election season
• 0:18
Speaker 1: has rolled around, the politicians down in the USVII are
• 0:22
Speaker 1: once again running from the Epstein story. And I think
• 0:25
Speaker 1: it's pretty interesting when you compare what they're doing in
• 0:28
Speaker 1: New Mexico to what's going on in the USVII. And
• 0:31
Speaker 1: I think the reason is that there was a lot
• 0:34
Speaker 1: of corruption in the USVII. I think a lot of
• 0:37
Speaker 1: people were getting money from Epstein. We're enjoying his large ass,
• 0:42
Speaker 1: and those people don't want themselves or their allies to
• 0:46
Speaker 1: be outed, so instead they'll just sweep it under the
• 0:49
Speaker 1: rug and they'll talk about other things. Well, unfortunately for them,
• 0:53
Speaker 1: me and my big Gap are still around. So today
• 0:57
Speaker 1: we have an article from the Virgin Islands Consortium. The
• 1:00
Speaker 1: headline Lieutenant Governor debate, presses Potter on lack of Epstein hearings,
• 1:04
Speaker 1: Francis on compensation report and morehead on school leadership. This
• 1:11
Speaker 1: article was authored by Janika Simon. Candidates vying for the
• 1:16
Speaker 1: Democratic nomination as Lieutenant governor face tough policy based questions
• 1:20
Speaker 1: during Sunday Nights debate hosted by Virgin Islands Consortium and
• 1:25
Speaker 1: w t JX. From the beginning, Rodney Moorhead and Senators
• 1:29
Speaker 1: Milton Potter and Novelle Francis were asked to put meat
• 1:33
Speaker 1: on the bones of their various pledges and promises to
• 1:36
Speaker 1: the people of the Virgin Islands. I wouldn't get my
• 1:39
Speaker 1: hopes up to the people down in the Virgin Islands.
• 1:42
Speaker 1: I mean, it's been a complete shit show forever and
• 1:47
Speaker 1: unfortunately there is a lot of corruption now. I know
• 1:51
Speaker 1: other people don't want to talk about it. Nobody wants
• 1:53
Speaker 1: to bring it up because it might shine a bad
• 1:55
Speaker 1: light on the Democrats. As you well know, I don't
• 1:58
  Speaker 1: give a fuck. I don't care about the Democrats. I
• 2:01
Speaker 1: don't care about the Republicans. I care about you, the
• 2:05
Speaker 1: people that are getting screwed. The hour long debate began
• 2:08
Speaker 1: with the topic banking. Here moderators Ernest Gilbert and Marcelina
• 2:13
Speaker 1: Ventura Douglas press participants to provide details on what they
• 2:16
Speaker 1: could do as Lieutenant governor to increase the provision of
• 2:19
Speaker 1: banking services in the territory. Boy, that's a big problem
• 2:22
Speaker 1: on its own. They couldn't even regulate Jeffrey Epstein. So
• 2:26
Speaker 1: what's going to stop the next person from going down
• 2:28
Speaker 1: there and doing the same thing or as the next
• 2:29
Speaker 1: person already there. That's a question that needs to be asked. Right,
• 2:33
Speaker 1: we know that Epstein's operation wasn't boarded up. That shit
• 2:37
Speaker 1: just moved to a different locale. Senator Francis cautioned against
• 2:43
Speaker 1: the perception of conflicts of interest within the Lieutenant Governor's Office,
• 2:46
Speaker 1: whose Division of Banking and Insurance holds a regulatory role
• 2:50
Speaker 1: over the industry. Both he and mister Morehead suggested that
• 2:54
Speaker 1: the Banking Board needs to be empowered with adequate staff
• 2:57
Speaker 1: and otherwise to perform the important role of attracting additional
• 3:01
Speaker 1: banking business to the territory. That sounds terrible, and if
• 3:05
Speaker 1: I was some kind of scummy billionaire, I'd be on
• 3:08
Speaker 1: my way to the USVII right now. Moderators also extracted
• 3:14
Speaker 1: a promise from all three candidates to strengthen the Community
• 3:17
Speaker 1: Reinvestment Act by requiring island by island lending scores to
• 3:21
Speaker 1: be made available to the public so that lending activity
• 3:24
Speaker 1: in San Cui, Saint Thomas and Saint John can be
• 3:27
Speaker 1: measured more actively. You know what, maybe it's time. Maybe
• 3:31
Speaker 1: I need to go down to the US Virgin Islands
• 3:34
Speaker 1: and see what the hell is going on, just like
• 3:36
Speaker 1: I had to go down to Zorro Ranch. Because we're
• 3:38
Speaker 1: not getting the full story. Have you seen an expose
• 3:42
Speaker 1: about Epstein and his role within the USVII amongst the
• 3:47
Speaker 1: most powerful down there? Of course not. I mean they'll
• 3:50
Speaker 1: hint at it, but they're never going to go deep.
• 3:54
Speaker 1: And Stacy Plaskett she still needs to answer for her
• 3:56
Speaker 1: role within Jeffrey Epstein's empire. Individual questions came next. Senator
• 4:03
Speaker 1: Milton Potter, who sharing an electoral ticket with current Delegate
• 4:07
Speaker 1: to Congress Stacy Plaskett, told moderators that his colleagues in
• 4:10
Speaker 1: the legislature decided not to hold any local hearings on
• 4:14
Speaker 1: the activities of Jeffrey Epstein. I wonder why after all
• 4:19
Speaker 1: these years. Guess what I told you? So these people
• 4:24
Speaker 1: never cared about justice, They never cared about holding people accountable.
• 4:28
Speaker 1: They cared about getting some money. And they sure got that,
• 4:31
Speaker 1: didn't they. The USVII, to be clear, made more money
• 4:36
Speaker 1: than all of the survivors put together, and if you
• 4:40
Speaker 1: don't see the travesty with that, then I can't help you.
• 4:43
Speaker 1: In a collaborative spirit, we decided that there was nothing
• 4:46
Speaker 1: constructive to be gained in going down that road of
• 4:49
Speaker 1: opening big Jeffrey Epstein hearings in the territory, said the
• 4:52
Speaker 1: sitting President of the Senate. In speaking with individual members,
• 4:56
Speaker 1: it was clear that this was not something that we
• 4:59
Speaker 1: were prepared to do at this time. Oh, I bet
• 5:01
Speaker 1: it wasn't election season. Ain't the right time, is it?
• 5:06
Speaker 1: So what that means is time to dig deeper, time
• 5:09
Speaker 1: to talk about the USVII a whole lot more. And
• 5:13
Speaker 1: what exactly are they trying to hide? What is Milton
• 5:17
Speaker 1: Potter trying to hide? And why would the rest of
• 5:20
Speaker 1: the delegates and everybody else involved get on board? Makes
• 5:24
Speaker 1: one wonder, doesn't it. Senator Francis seems surprised at this take,
• 5:30
Speaker 1: saying that he certainly was not one of the legislators
• 5:32
Speaker 1: who was queried by Senator Potter. I know several of
• 5:35
Speaker 1: the majority members that were interested in having a hearing
• 5:39
Speaker 1: and vetting this very Sam Epstein issue in broad daylight.
• 5:43
Speaker 1: There was even a draft bill to that effect that
• 5:45
Speaker 1: was circulating and should have come to the floor, said
• 5:47
Speaker 1: Senator Francis. The problem is, and I hate to say it,
• 5:53
Speaker 1: the Virgin Islands is corrupt as fuck. They don't want
• 5:56
Speaker 1: to give the game away. Up until the Epstein fiasco,
• 6:00
Speaker 1: they were able to fly under the radar, right, collect
• 6:02
Speaker 1: a bunch of money, you know, pay for play type shit.
• 6:06
Speaker 1: Not anymore. Now people are paying attention. And look, this
• 6:09
Speaker 1: is just speculation. I have no evidence to back it up.
• 6:12
Speaker 1: But my guess is mister Potter has some skeletons in
• 6:15
Speaker 1: his closet. Moderators pointed out that inquiries and hearings have
• 6:19
Speaker 1: been convened in the United States, UK, France, and several
• 6:24
Speaker 1: other European countries, as well as an EU wide anti
• 6:27
Speaker 1: fraud investigation and probe. Senator Potter further about why legislators
• 6:32
Speaker 1: in the Virgin Islands did not seem to think that
• 6:35
Speaker 1: local inquiry in the very place much of Epstein's crimes
• 6:38
Speaker 1: were said to occur was a priority. He doesn't want
• 6:41
Speaker 1: it to be exposed. They wanted the money. They wanted
• 6:45
Speaker 1: to eat at both ends of the table, and they did.
• 6:47
Speaker 1: They got rich when Epstein was alive. They built on
• 6:50
Speaker 1: that wealth when Epstein died. That's the story. The question
• 6:54
Speaker 1: is whose pockets did that money find And I don't
• 6:58
Speaker 1: think we have those answers yet. Senator Potter pointed out
• 7:02
Speaker 1: that the lawsuit against the Epstein estate was brought by
• 7:04
Speaker 1: the Virgin Islands Department of Justice, but moderators reminded him
• 7:09
Speaker 1: that local officials who facilitated or were connected to mister
• 7:12
Speaker 1: Epstein in various ways have not yet faced any scrutiny. Yeah,
• 7:16
Speaker 1: like miss Plaskett. That might be somebody that we want
• 7:20
Speaker 1: to talk to, might be somebody that has some information,
• 7:23
Speaker 1: might be somebody that knows a little bit about Jeffrey Epstein.
• 7:26
Speaker 1: But sure, let's not have any kind of investigation. Let's
• 7:30
Speaker 1: just say to hell with it. While Senator Francis expressed
• 7:34
Speaker 1: hope that an investigative hearing will still be convened before
• 7:38
Speaker 1: the thirty six legislature comes to an end, mister Potter
• 7:42
Speaker 1: demurred on that issue, suggesting that VIDJ should spearhead any
• 7:47
Speaker 1: investigation of that nature because they did such a great
• 7:51
Speaker 1: job the first time around, because they found out so
• 7:54
Speaker 1: much information and held so many people accountable. Sure, let's
• 7:58
Speaker 1: just punt again. Let's have the US Virgin Islands Department
• 8:03
Speaker 1: of Justice look into this once again, have we not
• 8:06
Speaker 1: learned anything from the hold on? Let me investigate myself bullshit,
• 8:11
Speaker 1: because every time that occurs, we end up in a
• 8:14
Speaker 1: place that's further away from the truth than from where
• 8:17
Speaker 1: we started, and especially in a place like the USVII.
• 8:21
Speaker 1: Like I can't even begin to tell you the amount
• 8:23
Speaker 1: of corruption surrounding Epstein. This man bought computers, donated money,
• 8:29
Speaker 1: everything you can possibly imagine to ingratiate himself to the
• 8:33
Speaker 1: locals down in the USVII. And unfortunately a lot of
• 8:36
Speaker 1: the politicians they were willing to play ball, took his money,
• 8:41
Speaker 1: stayed at his houses, used his contacts, took money from
• 8:45
Speaker 1: him for donations for their political campaigns, and still show
• 8:49
Speaker 1: no remorse about it. I mean, Stacy Plaskett is something else.
• 8:54
Speaker 1: This woman has some nerve. And the people that want
• 8:58
Speaker 1: to hold other people accountable all the time I'm talking
• 9:00
Speaker 1: about this one and that one, I got news for you.
• 9:03
Speaker 1: Stacy Plaskett needs to be held accountable as well. And
• 9:06
Speaker 1: if you want to be taken seriously, then you have
• 9:08
Speaker 1: to hold everybody to account who was involved, no matter
• 9:11
Speaker 1: they're a political party, or what side of the aisle
• 9:15
Speaker 1: they might be on, Like, why does that even matter?
• 9:19
Speaker 1: I would think in a situation like this, everybody would
• 9:22
Speaker 1: be up in arms. I mean, we have politicians, elected
• 9:25
Speaker 1: politicians that were literally eating out of Epstein's trough. And
• 9:30
Speaker 1: then after Epstein gets arrested, after this whole entire thing
• 9:33
Speaker 1: gets its doors blown open, those same people that same
• 9:37
Speaker 1: territory claims to be a victim. And at the time
• 9:42
Speaker 1: I was like the only one yelling and screaming about it.
• 9:46
Speaker 1: You had all these people out here talking about, Oh,
• 9:48
Speaker 1: what a great job. There's a Seco case down in
• 9:50
Speaker 1: the USVII. As if that was ever going to go anywhere.
• 9:54
Speaker 1: The moment they called it a Sicco case instead of
• 9:56
Speaker 1: a Rico case, I knew the fix was in. If
• 10:00
Speaker 1: they were really serious, they would have charged them with Rico,
• 10:02
Speaker 1: not CICCO, because Cicco is the civil version of that,
• 10:07
Speaker 1: and of course civil version you're not going to prison.
• 10:10
Speaker 1: They're trying to get some bucks. But there was plenty
• 10:13
Speaker 1: of evidence that this is Rico, and if they were serious,
• 10:17
Speaker 1: that's the route they would have went. But of course
• 10:19
Speaker 1: they're not serious. They never have been, and it looks
• 10:22
Speaker 1: like they never will be. All of the information that
