The End of the Matter | Ecclesiastes 12
Ecclesiastes 12 reminds us to remember God while we are young and able, before old age and death come. It describes the physical decline that happens with aging and emphasizes that life is temporary.
The chapter ends with the main message of the entire book:
“Fear God and keep His commandments, for this is the duty of all mankind.” — Ecclesiastes 12:13
Key takeaway: Don’t wait until later in life to take God seriously. Live with reverence for Him now, because our relationship with God is what gives life lasting meaning.
