  I've been very, very busy trying to prepare for lot of trips

  coming up, right. You guys know, I go try to get

  to the parks about every six weeks or so.

  Plus on top of that we have our crews coming up in August.

  So very, very busy. So I've been working, working a
• 1:21
  lot. I don't.

  I'm surprised my family even remembers what I look like.

  Wow, so in the parks, I've gone solo for four streams now and
• 1:33
  you know I'm a big boy, I can put my big boy pants on and do
• 1:36
  it. But definitely feels different
• 1:38
  without you there. But I know that every moment you
• 1:41
  had free, you were able to chime in and still help at times.
• 1:45
  Tried to, it looked like. Looked like I may have needed
• 1:48
  assistance. So very good there.
• 1:51
  It's what else is happening. So I'll just say time flies by
• 1:56
  fast. You know, a week ago we could
• 1:59
  go. Yeah, a week ago, Jacob couldn't
• 2:01
  drive. I mean, he could, but not
• 2:03
  legally. All of a sudden, all of a sudden
• 2:06
  the kid gets his gets his license.
• 2:09
  I was happy that the the tester with him, she she actually said
• 2:16
  that it told Tammy he was an excellent young man and an
• 2:20
  excellent driver. So that made me feel a little
• 2:22
  bit more at ease when he leaves the driveway for the first time.
• 2:26
  So two days later, he drives himself to the prom.
• 2:29
  Be at midnight. Wow.
• 2:32
  You know, And it's not close either.
• 2:33
  It was it, It's it's halfway to Disney.

  Yeah. So off you go.

  Take the training wheels off and off he goes.

  That's right, right? Cherish every moment, everyone.

  and, you know, using the parking space that I, I paid for in

  September of last year. So we'll get a few good weeks

  out of that parking space. I said to Tammy did what do we

  pay for that thing? 140 bucks.

  She's like $40. Oh, OK all.

  Right. I'm like, OK, that's a little
• 3:01
  bit better. So how's things on your end?

  Good, good. We are staying busy.

  Tomorrow's picture day, spring picture day at school.

  So and I'm, I'm sure she's probably upstairs making her a

  dress or something. And yeah, for me, like I said,

  like I mentioned, just been staying busy with work and last
• 3:24
  week we didn't have a podcast because I was traveling for
• 3:27

  know it's it's a weird offbeat kind of attraction to have that

  as my favorite, but it's just the connections that I have as
• 5:34
  as a child going on there with my folks and my, you know, my
• 5:37
  parents as a kid and you know, I remember just countless times
• 5:41
  just sitting there, my dad watching it go by just there it
• 5:44
  goes and then lady years sitting there with my fiance Michelle
• 5:47
  Saturday parts live. We just we said sometimes we go
• 5:50
  to the park, go right to that back of the corner back by his
• 5:52
  big Thunder and end up sitting there for like an hour.
• 5:54
  I was like, we we've been at the park.
• 5:55
  I was like, we haven't done anything yet.
• 5:57
  We've been sitting here for over an hour.
• 5:59
  We have we just watched the Liberty Bell go by, you know, 20
• 6:02
  times. But you know, so it was just
• 6:04
  it's just one of those things. It was beautiful.
• 6:05
  It was just a little buy back there.
• 6:06
  It set, it was a little mood and nice place to relax and chill.
• 6:10
  So yeah, but I miss it and I'm looking forward to what's
• 6:13
  coming, you know, and it should be good.

  What's going to replace it? But I do miss and hopefully
• 6:17
  it'll show up again somewhere in the parts.

  I I did just see was it it might have been this morning.

  I took a nap in the middle of the day.

  You take a nap and it and it just throws you off.

  It's our pleasure coming on. So take us back a little bit.

  How do you decide to start your channel and, and, and decide to
• 7:22
  make the focus of scooter adventures, mobility and being
• 7:28
  on a scooter and that kind of thing?
• 7:29
  Take us, take us through that. OK, it, it goes way back.
• 7:34
  I mean, almost all the way back to I almost looked like, like
• 7:37
  when I was in school, high school even.
• 7:40
  That is all ties into where I'm at now.
• 7:42
  Because when I was in school, I was, I was that guy.
• 7:44
  I was that AV guy. I was in the AV department and
• 7:47
  then we had a local news program and I, I did camera work and
• 7:51
  editing back then started my love of photography and video
• 7:54
  and all that. Fast forward through my 20s and
• 7:58
  I was working on airport but other love was flying believe it
• 8:00
  or not and working on airport and gave up my whole idea of
• 8:05
  being in video and doing anything like that.
• 8:07
  One of our guys that had a plane out there owned a video company,
• 8:10
  video production company and I got to talking to him.
• 8:12
  We said bring in one of your, bring in a demo tape, show them.
• 8:16
  Next thing I know I'm working for this guy.
• 8:17
  Quit the job at the airport, became a video edit.
• 8:19
  So the only shift I have is overnight.
• 8:21
  I can work overnight, but I was like, I'm pursuing my dream.
• 8:24
  I'll take whatever you can give me.
• 8:26
  Started working overnights. Did that for about 10 years and
• 8:30
  then somewhere in the middle of that started to develop a little
• 8:32
  love for NASCAR of all things. Living in New York.
• 8:35
  NASCAR is not the most popular sport up there.
• 8:37
  You know, we have Yankees and everything else ranges, Giants,
• 8:41
  Jets. I'm sorry, did you mention the
• 8:42
  Yankees? Oh, of course I did.
• 8:45
  Of course it is a matter of fact and.
• 8:46
  Well, he had to leave. Sorry, scooters.
• 8:48
  Well. Hey, you know it was there.
• 8:50
  You know, I thought there was only.
• 8:51
  One New York team, although, you know.
• 8:55
  Yeah. And my Yanks, you know, So in
• 8:57
  fact, you see that that picture back there on the wall is I was
• 9:00
  at the final game of the old Yankee Stadium.

  That's a photo item back there on the wall.

  Oh wow, that's a cool that was. A That was an awesome thing.

  I think I was one of the last people, you know, me at the
• 9:09
  parks. I was like that that night at
• 9:11
  Yankee Stadium. This is security.
• 9:12
  They had one. They came all the way down to
• 9:13
  gate 21, last gate open and I was trying to reload security
• 9:18
  everywhere and went. I was like, all right, they're
• 9:19
  closing this one. Let me came down the ramp.
• 9:22
  They have ranch there Yankee Stadium and there was like 18
• 9:24
  security guards and they were like yo-yo over here, let's go,
• 9:28
  let's go. And I was the last guy to walk
• 9:31
  out and I think I I think I was close to the last fan in the
• 9:33
  league, the old Yankee Stadium. So, you know, I mean, probably.
• 9:36
  Wasn't. Yeah, it was late after the
• 9:39
  game. But you're bringing back a
• 9:41
  memory for me because we, it was a what a bucket list thing of
• 9:44
  mine to bring my kids to Fenway Park.
• 9:47
  Now we, I grew up there. I went there as a kid.
• 9:49
  I went a million times to Fenway Park, but never got to take the
• 9:52
  kids because when they were born, basically they lived in
• 9:55
  Maine. So they were 5 1/2 hours away.
• 9:57
  It's just never really, I never really put the effort forth
• 9:59
  then. But going up to visit a few
• 10:01
  years ago, we did it. And you just brought back a
• 10:03
  memory because Lawrence, I think we closed out Fenway Park.
• 10:07
  Like that's what that's what we do to close out the parks.
• 10:09
  Yeah, I think. We closed out, yeah, that's it.
• 10:11
  Trying to show the guys pushed us.
• 10:12
  Out, too. They're like, OK, let's go.
• 10:14
  The exit's over here. We're like one more photo.
• 10:17
  Come on. Yeah, I.

  Was like, yeah, that many times I've been on Main Street and I'm
• 10:21
  like, wow, I'm the last guy here and it's so weird to get that,
• 10:23
  that photo of looking down. You know and.
• 10:27
  But yeah, so I think I was the last one.
• 10:28
  I knew once I was like trying to hold out.
• 10:30
  I knew once I went over that threshold out of the Yankee
• 10:32
  Stadium onto the regular sidewalk over there in the
• 10:34
  Bronx, I was never gonna walk back in that building.
• 10:36
  So it was kinda so either way, but so that's a side note.
• 10:40
  So and then I started I was became a NASCAR fan, started
• 10:42
  doing video and started going to NASCAR races.
• 10:45
  Now I became like ended up throwing myself into everything
• 10:47
  else like I do here with the parks, 100% into NASCAR, knew
• 10:51
  everything about NASCAR racing. Richard Petty, all that and was
• 10:55
  hating New York. I hated the winters.
• 10:56
  I always everybody knew I always wanted to get out of New York.
• 10:59
  So my brother was living in Florida at the time over in
• 11:01
  Daytona Beach and he he sent me a little clipping in in the
• 11:05
  mail. I opened it up a little
• 11:08
  envelope, but we used to have when he couldn't text people and
• 11:11
  it was a little envelope and it was a clipping from the new
• 11:13
  Daytona Beach News Journal and it said Richard Petty driving
• 11:16
  experience looking for help at Daytona Speedway.
• 11:19
  And they said they were looking for pit Rd. guys and send a
• 11:21
  resume for photographers. I was like, well, I'm not really
• 11:23
  a photographer. I'm a videographer, but I said,
• 11:25
  let me let me try that. It's my this might be my ticket
• 11:28
  to get out of New York and sent that down and sent the resume.
• 11:32
  You know, sent the actually the application that went online.
• 11:34
  Actually, you know, they called me.
• 11:35
  But at the time the the crew that actually ran Daytona was
• 11:39
  such a limited schedule. The crew was out of Walt Disney
• 11:42
  World Speedway, the hiring crew, the managers, so they called me
• 11:46
  from I looked at it's a four O 7 number 939 for WDW everything
• 11:50
  they call you W 939 and I was like, what is that like?
• 11:54
  And it was like, hey, well, rich, great giants fans over at
• 11:56
  Walt Disneyland, speed wants you to come down.
• 11:58
  Well, actually one interview we saw your and I was like in New
• 12:01
  York. So I said, when do you want me?
• 12:03
  They said Tuesday, I, I drove down, came down for an interview
• 12:06
  that went over to Disney Speedway there.
• 12:08
  I'm driving up to Disney property underneath the, the
• 12:10
  marquee and I'm like, wow, I'm going for a job.
• 12:12
  I might actually work in NASCAR at Disney, which I loved as a
• 12:16
  kid. That was my dream and possibly
• 12:18
  doing photo or video with NASCAR, Like what?
• 12:21
  Everything's combining itself, you know, and I went for the
• 12:24
  interview and ended up hiring me as a pit Rd. support guy.
• 12:27
  Now, on the way out, I said, hey, I have a resume, 'cause you
• 12:30
  didn't need a, a, a was just basically an application for
• 12:33
  that role. I said, hey, on the way out, I
• 12:35
  have my resume if you want to take a look at it.
• 12:36
  And the guy, you know, as I'm walking out, the guy that
• 12:38
  interviewed me looked at it, said, wait, wait, wait, wait,
• 12:40
  wait, hang on one minute. He goes, you might be better
• 12:42
  suited for the photography department.
• 12:44
  So he called the lady out and she's like, Oh my gosh.
• 12:46
  She goes, I love this. I love everything I see.
• 12:48
  We're gonna be doing a video, you know, type of set up on the
• 12:51
  car soon. And I want you to help launch
• 12:53
  that. Would you remind work?
• 12:55
  And I'm gonna steal you from John, who interviewed me.
• 12:58
  And I said, yeah, of course. When could you start?
• 13:00
  And I said, well, whenever you need me.
• 13:01
  And they were like, we're gonna start two weeks.
• 13:03
  I went back home, got enough stuff together, moved.
• 13:05
  They said no, I'm moving down to Florida to work at Daytona
• 13:08
  Speedway now. Daytona wasn't of I ended up
• 13:11
  becoming a manager. It wasn't enough to sustain a
• 13:14
  full time salaried manager. We only ran the summer months
• 13:17
  and Walt Disney wants to be where it was year round every
• 13:20
  single day, seven days a week. So they said to fill in, you
• 13:23
  know, the gaps, you're gonna have to work, even though you
• 13:25
  live over here in Daytona, you're gonna have to work over
• 13:27
  at the at Walt Disney World Speedway at least three days a
• 13:31
  week, 'cause over here it was 2 days at Daytona and I had to do
• 13:34
  at least three to equal the 40 hours.
• 13:36
  So I said, yeah, that's fine. They said the one perk is
• 13:38
  because you'll be doing at least three days a week, you could,
• 13:41
  you could go to traditions and get your cast member ID.
• 13:44
  You'll be a cast member, a participating cast member who's
• 13:47
  going to say no to that? So there you go.
• 13:49
  So I was working, I was working Daytona Speedway, working Walt
• 13:52
  Disney World Speedway had a, an ID, Disney World cast member ID,
• 13:57
  which ended up getting the main gate ID as a manager.
• 14:00
  And I was able to bring friends in.
• 14:01
  I was able to bring four people in with me each time.
• 14:04
  I was able to use it like 12 * a year, discounts on everything.
• 14:08
  It's just like like the cast members gap.
• 14:10
  It was, it was amazing. Did that for 11 years ended up
• 14:14
  getting out of that in the and I stopped working at 2010 and got
• 14:18
  into other stuff. I ended up working in a
• 14:19
  motorcycle shop as a manager, retail as a manager, worked at
• 14:23
  Ross, Ross dress for less and did that and then that whole
• 14:30
  that ended up going Now I work at a car dealership.
• 14:32
  So but I still have the I had the video knowledge and
• 14:36
  throughout that course of time my knee started to go arthritis.
• 14:40
  Everything else can't walk. So I started using the mobility
• 14:42
  scooter. So now as time went on, we
• 14:46
  started to, I said I want to get back to the parks.
• 14:48
  The only way I could ever do the parks again is on a mobility
• 14:50
  scooter. I'm not just going to sit here
• 14:51
  on TV and watch everybody else having fun.
• 14:54
  Let's let me get a scooter and we can go out and have a good
• 14:56
  time. I, I was embarrassed at first
• 14:58
  didn't want to use a scooter. You know, you got your pride.
• 15:02
  But I ended up buying a scooter and another scooter.
• 15:04
  Now I own 5 scooter, I actually 6 scooters.
• 15:07
  So I have, we're going to the park, we're enjoying ourselves,
• 15:10
  going to see where I'm going to Universal, going to Disney and
• 15:12
  getting to go back to the stuff I love, back to the parks.
• 15:15
  And I was like, wait a minute, I still have my my knowledge of
• 15:18
  video, right? I have my knowledge of 11 years
• 15:21
  as a cast member and I have knowledge of having to use
• 15:25
  mobility scooters. I know the real life struggles
• 15:27
  that somebody in a wheelchair or ECV face every day.
• 15:31
  There's so many vloggers and video and streamers out there.
• 15:33
  Let's see if we can tie all this together and package it and come
• 15:37
  up with scooter ventures and maybe help some people.
• 15:39
  I remember my mom, there was times when my mom didn't want to
• 15:42
  come down. She used to use, she had bad
• 15:44
  knees as well. I guess that's where I got them
• 15:45
  from. She would go to, you know, in
• 15:47
  the supermarket. She would use her, her ECB to go
• 15:50
  shopping. And when the kids came down to
• 15:53
  Florida a few years back, she didn't want to.
• 15:55
  She's like, no, I can't use this scooter in the park.
• 15:56
  It's too busy. It's too busy.
• 15:58
  I'm like, Ma, it's no different than when you're in Publix.
• 16:00
  Just no, no, no, let the kids have fun, you know, and I was
• 16:03
  like, you know what, that I'm sure that happens more than we
• 16:06
  even know how many grandparents miss going to the parks with the
• 16:09
  kids because they're intimidated by getting on an ECB.
• 16:12
  And it is intimidating. You know, you pull out of there,
• 16:14
  you rent, you scooter, you pull out the Main Street and it's
• 16:16
  like, now what? You know, it's a little
• 16:18
  different than riding around Publix.
• 16:20
  So, so maybe we can make some vlogs and videos to make people
• 16:23
  a little more at ease. And we started to do that and I
• 16:25
  started to get emails and comments and feedback from
• 16:27
  people saying I for years I didn't want to go to the parks.
• 16:31
  Now you're watching your videos. I'm inspired to go again.
• 16:34
  I just booked the trip. I just did this, just did that
• 16:37
  and just got an e-mail from somebody last week saying every
• 16:40
  time I watch the videos, I feel more and more comfortable.
• 16:42
  I was at the concert yesterday, 38 Special lady sit next to me.
• 16:46
  She I could see her looking at me at the corner of my eye after
• 16:49
  the show was over. You could see it on stream.
• 16:50
  She's like, I know you. She's like, I just can't think
• 16:52
  of your name. I said, scooter ventures.
• 16:54
  She goes, she looked at 100. She goes, that's the guy I told
• 16:56
  you. That's the guy I watched that
• 16:58
  she was in a ECB, She said I was so afraid to get an ECB to come
• 17:01
  to the park, but I watched your videos and it made me
• 17:04
  comfortable enough to come out and enjoy myself.
• 17:06
  They were from Pennsylvania. And so she was there and after
• 17:09
  watching my videos inspired her to come out.
• 17:11
  So, so I guess hopefully that catches you up on everything and
• 17:13
  where we're at. And that's how school adventures
• 17:15
  came about. And thank you for thank you for

  this Grandma Grover, we meet her in Hollywood Studios.

  First time I ever met her in person.

  She was at Hollywood Studios and she said that watching us and,

  and, and Corey navigate the parks and he's not on an ECV,
• 17:56
  but just showing that you can do it and kept, you know, trying to
• 18:00
  motivate people to just get out here and enjoy the parks.
• 18:03
  And you don't have to, you know, just focus on the big rides and,
• 18:08
  and you can actually slow down and take in some of the shows
• 18:12
  and, and the entertainment. And that kind of thing inspired
• 18:15
  her to get out there and go to the parks.
• 18:18
  And I remember when I met her, I, I figured, oh, OK, she's
• 18:22
  probably here with a bunch of, no, she was there by herself.
• 18:25
  Like she was inspired just to get out there, rent an ECB and,
• 18:30
  and, and just enjoy the parks. And so I appreciate you know
• 18:34
  exactly what you're doing and what you're what you're trying
• 18:36
  to, to help folks understand that the park is for everybody
• 18:42
  and there's plenty. Enough and that's the thing and
• 18:44
  when we started getting those emails and the feedback like
• 18:47
  that like I said they're still coming and now even more than
• 18:48
  ever I see TPG theme park Giant is a good friend of all of ours
• 18:53
  he's in the chat and I saw where he said he was able to bring his
• 18:55
  friends and never brought me one as well It's yeah you know he's.
• 18:58
  Behaving in the chat. Of course.

  We can, but. But I, yeah, but I have people

  that come all the time. I, I, you know, I wish I could

  pull up some of my emails that, hey, I saw you on Theme Park

  Giant sent me away or I heard your name mentioned on Theme
• 19:17
  Park Giant. I have a question.

  I want to come down with an EC. I'm going to be using an ECV and
• 19:22
  can I do this or that? And I, you know, and then I, I
• 19:25
  started dialogue with them and then I ended up, you know, I
• 19:26
  ended up talking to them myself. We go back and forth for a few
• 19:29
  emails, you know, and then I usually hear from them saying,
• 19:31
  hey, we ended up coming down for a couple weeks and it was
• 19:33
  wonderful. I'm like, see, you know, you got
• 19:35
  over that initial fear and it is, it is very, very I even now
• 19:39
  with the experience that I have, I can't even tell you, you know,
• 19:41
  we don't know how it is on in the in the hub after happily
• 19:44
  ever after. And you know, you see, it's
• 19:47
  crazy enough for walking people. If you're on, if you're at this
• 19:50
  level and all you're seeing is backs around you, you're like in
• 19:54
  the bottom of a cave, like a hole.
• 19:56

  And that's fine. But they're bringing in

  It's an amazing show if you ever seen one in person.

  And, and sometimes I'll just get everything charged up ready to

  go and I'll just head to the park myself on a Sunday.

  yourself, you know, we love to have the family and everybody

  there with us. But you know, going by yourself

  me go. And I was young enough that I

  could be on my own, but too young to even be there.

  But we, I would go with them and they would go to their post to

  go to work and I would just go disappear into the stadium and

  wait for the gates to open. And once the gates open and I

  would kind of fill in and they had a couple ushers that they

  knew in the seats that would look out for me.

  And give me a seat. One guy named Leo.

  And so I basically spent a lot of my childhood walking around

  in an empty Yankee Stadium. I used to go down and meet some

  of the players as a little kid. Nobody ever questioned anything.

  But. I just got to spend a lot of

  time there. And when they tore it down, I
