- 0:00Denise Killian: Welcome to The GrowthPro Edge.
- 0:03We're here to help scale your business, build stronger teams,
- 0:06Claudine Ogilvie : and sharpen your leadership skills
- 0:11Denise Killian: Hello, and welcome to The GrowthPro Edge.
- 0:13I'm Denise Killian with The GrowthPro Group.
- 0:17Today, we're going to be talking about the supply chain and how it is impacting
- 0:23your business and your day-to-day operations, and certainly causing some
- 0:27problems for some future planning as well.
- 0:30So we're gonna be joined by Claudine Ogilvie with HivePix to talk
- 0:36about some solutions of what you can control with the supply chain
- 0:41and how it impacts your business.
- 0:44So let's get started
- 0:47Claudine, hello and welcome to the GrowthPro Edge.
- 0:50We're thrilled to have you
- 0:53Claudine Ogilvie : Thanks, Denise.
- 0:53Uh, thank you very much for having me
- 0:56Denise Killian: Uh, so listen, we're gonna have a lot of conversation
- 0:59about this existential threat I think that so many companies and
- 1:03businesses are facing right now.
- 1:05But before we dig into that, first introduce yourself and explain
- 1:09to people why you're the person I wanted to talk to about this issue
- 1:13Claudine Ogilvie : Yeah, sure.
- 1:13Uh, so I'm, uh, Claudine Ogilvie.
- 1:15I'm co-founder and CEO of Hivepix.
- 1:18Um, uh, we, we, uh, are a, data, uh, exchange platform.
- 1:24Uh, we, uh, exchange product data and supply chain data across supply chain
- 1:27partners, so suppliers, distributors, companies, customers on the other end.
- 1:32Um, we're a little bit like the best bits of a master data management supply chain
- 1:37portal and PIM all wrapped into one.
- 1:39Uh, thanks to AI, all these things are so much better and more efficient
- 1:42now, so that's super exciting.
- 1:45Um, my background is, um, mostly tech.
- 1:48I was CIO for large listed organizations here in Australia.
- 1:51I now split my time between Australia and the US.
- 1:54Um, I've lived and breathed this problem, uh, on a few different levels.
- 1:58I also have a co-founder called Melissa Hayes, and she have l- has
- 2:02lived and breathed, uh, the, these problem statements, um, as a, a, a
- 2:06chief marketing officer for, also for consumer industrial markets, um,
- 2:10uh, uh, uh, listed organizations.
- 2:13Um, so she's lived and breathed it from the people who are trying,
- 2:16trying to do something valuable, um, with this data, uh, on the inside.
- 2:20So between the two of us, um, we have an, an enormous passion for, uh,
- 2:25data, supply chain, AI and, um, and, uh, yeah, really looking forward to
- 2:30helping some companies unlock their data
- 2:32Denise Killian: There we go.
- 2:33So, um, my first question is, there are so many issues that businesses
- 2:39across the globe are facing.
- 2:42Part of it is because we're so interconnected, uh, in our business
- 2:45world, but another part of it is a lot of issues that no business has control over.
- 2:51So what would you say are the top threats for the supply
- 2:56chain that impact businesses?
- 2:59Claudine Ogilvie : Oh my goodness.
- 3:00Um, there are so many, and I- but I think the ones that we are seeing are companies,
- 3:05uh, grapple with, um, the most right now.
- 3:07And, and n- number one is the one everyone's talking about.
- 3:11It is no surprise it's AI and how fast that is moving.
- 3:15Uh, it is, um, many different types of AI.
- 3:18Uh, you know, we've gone from, uh, traditional AI to generative AI.
- 3:22Now it's, um, uh, you know, agentic AI and, and who knows what'll happen, uh, you
- 3:28know, over the next few months/next year.
- 3:30And I think a lot of companies are just trying to keep up.
- 3:32Um, it is not just another tool.
- 3:35It is transforming businesses and their supply chains.
- 3:38It is completely, um, uh, you know… It's a massive upheaval, right?
- 3:43Uh, and we can come back to this one and what it means and, uh, for,
- 3:46uh, small and large organizations alike who also have to rely on
- 3:50their data to make AI work for them.
- 3:53And, and it's the same thing when you're dealing with supply chain partners, right?
- 3:57Uh, number two, I, I have to say, uh, it wasn't the case a few months ago,
- 4:02but it is very much, uh, the fuel price hikes, um, that has caused a little
- 4:08bit of turmoil, to say the least.
- 4:11Uh, and, and that can be felt across, um, supply chains.
- 4:15Um, uh, you know, you, you can really feel it in the pricing in, um, but also
- 4:20sort of product availability, uh- So this is really driving when we've got
- 4:25clients who have picked up the phone to me and gone, "I know we were going
- 4:28to sort of onboard in a few weeks time, but can we do it on Monday?"
- 4:32And I'll be like, "Okay." You know, um, we, we can absolutely do that.
- 4:37Uh, and, um, and the reason for this is, you know, the, the, the impact is now.
- 4:41It's not being felt, you know, over the next few weeks or months, it's, it's
- 4:45now, and it's… Actually, I'm, I wa- it surprised me how quickly it was… it's
- 4:50been translating through supply chains, through availability, through pricing.
- 4:54Um, uh, there's that piece.
- 4:56And I think the third big piece is, um, I'm gonna say sort of geopolitical shifts.
- 5:02Um, and, you know, there's sort of like a, um, a, a great sort of call it the
- 5:07great divide, um, globally whereby, um, for, uh, for, for many reasons you have,
- 5:15uh, organizations who, um, uh, don't want to source from certain countries.
- 5:20Uh, y- you know, and that's also being reinforced by, uh, measures t- like
- 5:25tariff measures, so that's also being reinforced by, by pricing measures.
- 5:28Whether or not you buy into those geopolitical pressures,
- 5:31economically you're starting to see, um, these mechanisms sort
- 5:35of flow through supply chains.
- 5:37And so it's k- There, there are these shifts that are difficult
- 5:40to ignore commercially now.
- 5:42Um, and, uh, and that is impacting things like, um, dual sourcing strategies
- 5:47that supply, uh, chains and, and companies have to sort of mitigate
- 5:51disruption, you know, where, you know, I might have a preferred supplier or
- 5:55two maybe, and hence dual sourcing.
- 5:58But, but actually you need, um, more visibility of your supply chain,
- 6:02um, to give you more optionality to understand what's out there.
- 6:05Because I think the disruptions are coming in fast and, and sometimes
- 6:09they're not always predictable.
- 6:10Um, so having that visibility can really have, give you a
- 6:14bit of a competitive edge.
- 6:15So those are, um, I think the three areas, um, that I'm seeing being
- 6:20the most disruptive, at least with the companies that I'm talking to.
- 6:24Denise Killian: Yeah, absolutely.
- 6:25And, you know, the unfortunate thing is that two of those three, there's not
- 6:31a thing that any company can do about to change it- Well … to stop it, to
- 6:38lower prices, to end tariffs, right?
- 6:41That there's not anything- Yeah … that one company can really do to impact that.
- 6:45But there are some tools that you can employ and some strategies
- 6:50that you can employ to help mitigate some of those impacts.
- 6:53So I wanna come back to AEI, or AEI, AI, uh, in just a minute because I think
- 6:59that's a huge discussion that is, can be overwhelming for so many companies.
- 7:04That I'm sure we know it's out there, but how do we really use it the best,
- 7:08and what's right for us, and how do you, how do you make it worth your while?
- 7:13Um, but all of it kind of comes down to data.
- 7:17And no AI program, no strategy is gonna work unless you have the right data
- 7:22and know how to read it So my first question really under that umbrella
- 7:28is what are the, the data points that people should be paying attention to when
- 7:33they're looking at their supply chain?
- 7:36Claudine Ogilvie : Yeah.
- 7:36Yeah.
- 7:37I- I also just wanted to touch on the fact that you- you're absolutely right.
- 7:40You can't, uh, control what happens to you as an organization and these
- 7:45big, uh, macro trends, um, yeah, you can't do much about them, but you
- 7:49can control what you do about them.
- 7:51Um, and, uh, and that's certainly where, where I'm coming from.
- 7:55Um, so a- AI, I mean, it… yeah, it's huge, it's massive.
- 7:59Um, the-- it can be a massive unlock even if you don't have a lot of resources,
- 8:05but it can be massively overwhelming.
- 8:07It is.
- 8:08So, um, sometimes it's a case of, um, uh, small steps.
- 8:11Um, we're finding, uh, even for enterprise, so it's not just say the,
- 8:16the mid-market or the small companies, it's also really large enterprise
- 8:20who have massive legacy systems.
- 8:23Um, you know, it could be systems fragmentation, you know, over the years.
- 8:27Um, you know, that one critical system that you haven't been able to upgrade, um,
- 8:31because it is so critical and it's just so hard to, to sort of get round to that.
- 8:35Um, so I, uh, there are very few organizations that, that I know that
- 8:39don't have any of that, um, big and small.
- 8:43Uh, and, uh, and sort of getting-- wrapping your arms around that
- 8:46data can be, can be, can be huge.
- 8:48Um, so really, I, I think for a start it's about how do you unify your data,
- 8:54how you get it all together and, um, I think traditionally you've had,
- 8:59uh, tools like EDIs or APIs that help integrate your systems, and they sound
- 9:05great, um, but they're one-to-one.
- 9:07They can be really expensive.
- 9:09Um, if you're a large organization, you probably need a small team to help manage,
- 9:13you know, uh, get that data in and out.
- 9:16Every time there's an update you need to, you know, check your EDI and, you know,
- 9:20I… So it can be really burdensome.
- 9:22Uh, the, uh… Which is why I think a lot of organizations, big and small,
- 9:27we're talking the big multinationals, but as well as, you know, your, your, your
- 9:31tiny organization, they still send Excel spreadsheets and emails and attachments to
- 9:35each other, uh, to exchange information.
- 9:38So, um, certainly at Hypix we were like, there has to be a
- 9:41better way, this is insane.
- 9:43And there are these big sophisticated, uh, systems inside your organization,
- 9:49um, but no one's really tried to connect to them inside and out.
- 9:53But also, you know, you can use that to connect your systems
- 9:56within your organization.
- 9:57So, you know, we, we put a lot of thought into this, uh,
- 10:00because it's the massive unlock.
- 10:02You… It has to be easy.
- 10:04It can't be expensive.
- 10:05And at Hypix basically, so you join Hypix you, um, you can, uh, EDI or it's,
- 10:11uh, API or integrate, um, that's fine.
- 10:14But also you can simply unify your data by bringing it in like from
- 10:18all your suppliers, like if- Or your suppliers are not in Hypix, that's fine.
- 10:22You take what they give you in the format that they give it to you in,
- 10:26and then you can ingest it into Hypix, and Hypix does all the hard work in
- 10:30terms of, okay, how you want your data.
- 10:33You know, you would've set it up to sort of say, this is how I want my data, these
- 10:36are the formats, these are my systems.
- 10:38Um, and, um, so when you ingest that data, Hypix can also then push it back out to
- 10:44whatever system y- or systems you have in the format that makes sense to you.
- 10:50Um, it, it might sound really basic, but at the moment, um, I think that
- 10:55ingestion piece is really hard, and I think, um, a lot of that, you know,
- 10:59AI has made that, and a lot of our backend system has made that easy.
- 11:02You know, we've definitely taken the approach that keep the complexity
- 11:06in the backend so on the front end it's deceivingly simple, and that's
- 11:10absolutely, um, how AI should be.
- 11:12Um, and, you know, uh, traditionally when you looked at, say, um, a master data
- 11:18management system, you've sort of had to define, this is my data, this is my data
- 11:23model, here's what I want and how I want.
- 11:26A lot of thinking would have to go into that.
- 11:28And I have to say, i- if you're a, um, a, a, a, you know, a business with not
- 11:33enormous resources to spare, which is probably most of us, and, you know, uh,
- 11:38you got no time, you got no time, uh, you don't really wanna have to sit there
- 11:42and map out all your systems and your models and how does it all come together.
- 11:46You just wanna know, you just know that for my ERP or my, my mid-size ERP,
- 11:50this is, this is how I need my data.
- 11:52For this system, my maybe it's my warehouse management system, this is
- 11:55how I need my data, uh, et cetera.
- 11:57That's all you gotta know.
- 11:59And, uh, and you sort of upload that into Hypix and the Hypix
- 12:03does all that translation for you.
- 12:04So there's a real sort of, um, unlock, I think, that you can
- 12:09do to unify your data within the organization to keep it clean without-
- 12:15Overly, over-engineering it, right?
- 12:18Um, you, you know, your finance di- director or manager can continues
- 12:23to have full ownership over the ERP system, for example, and it might
- 12:26be that your marketing guys have full ownership over your product
- 12:30information management system.
- 12:31Same thing for warehousing, et cetera.
- 12:33None of that changes, and they can continue doing it in the
- 12:36formats that they've always done it in, um, because Hypix does all
- 12:39the hard work in the back end.
- 12:41So that's just one example of, um, uh, of a… And, uh, clearly we believe in
- 12:46Hypix as, as being, um, you know, a real, um, revolutionary unlock here because AI
- 12:53should unlock simplicity and should unlock time for businesses, uh, big and small.
- 12:59So, you know, this sort of, "I can't use AI because I don't have good data, or
- 13:04I don't know how to unify my data," um, should no longer be a problem anymore.
- 13:10Um, it's something that you, you can actually, uh, bring all together, uh,
- 13:16easier than you've ever done it before.
- 13:18Like, I think, um, it's really been a, um, uh, certainly a real barrier in the
- 13:22past, but I think maybe it's, it's almost a mental barrier now because people have
- 13:27the scars of giving it a go in the past.
- 13:30Uh, yeah.
- 13:31They're like, "Oh my God, I don't wanna touch my data.
- 13:33It's been a nightmare." Yeah.
- 13:35Um, whereas all of that, you know, is, is being made really easy.
- 13:39So, um, honestly, it's, it's almost a commercial imperative these days, um, that
- 13:44if you're a small business, you probably should be using AI because that's how
- 13:48you're gonna leapfrog the competition.
- 13:50That's how you're gonna catch up to, if you're a small organization,
- 13:53to the big organizations.
- 13:55If you're a big organization, that's how you're gonna, you know, leapfrog
- 13:59all that l- all those legacy systems.
- 14:01This is how you're gonna unlock the- The, the terabytes of data that
- 14:06you have sitting there but has been in the too hard bucket, obviously.
- 14:09Um, I don't have the time or the resources to unlock that data,
- 14:14and so you narrow everything.
- 14:16But honestly, you're missing out if, if you can't, um, uh, you know, address,
- 14:21uh, and unify some of that data, so.
- 14:23Denise Killian: Mm-hmm.
- 14:24So… And that's something that, you know, for a lot of folks, it's, okay, my
- 14:29sales platform is this, and this is the information that it's in, and this is the
- 14:33way that I can pull reports from there.
- 14:36But then I need to compare it to this that's in my inventory
- 14:39system, and then my distribution system is a whole another thing.
- 14:42So you're spending half a day- Mm-hmm … pulling basic information that
- 14:48you need to make important decisions.
- 14:51Claudine Ogilvie : Yes.
- 14:52Denise Killian: So having some way to unify it- But
- 14:53Claudine Ogilvie : it's really hard, right?
- 14:55Denise Killian: Yeah.
- 14:55Having some way to unify it to where it's just right there for you, um,
- 15:00Claudine Ogilvie : that's a great thing.
- 15:00You wanna spend your time copy-pasting out of this system, this systems
- 15:05in, in the right format so you can, you can then do analyses.
- 15:10Um, s- no.
- 15:11No.
- 15:12Just, you know, funnel it through, through, um, a tool like Hypix,
- 15:16because that'll do it for you.
- 15:17And then you've got real data that you can get real insights out of easily.
- 15:23Um, I mean, how much time would you save if you didn't have to worry about,
- 15:27you know, uh, getting your data all together in the right format and the
- 15:30right way so that, you know, I don't have… 'Cause crap, crap in is crap
- 15:34out when it comes to data, right?
- 15:36Um, good AI needs good data.
- 15:38Um, and, uh, and AI should be for everyone, right?
- 15:42Big, small, legacy, new.
- 15:44Um, and, uh, and I think, I think that's the promise, and I think, uh, many
- 15:48organizations are finding it harder than they should because of their data.
- 15:53Denise Killian: Mm-hmm.
- 15:54Right.
- 15:55Mm. So when we talk about that data and some of the other strategies,
- 15:59first of all, you gotta get it unified.
- 16:00Yep.
- 16:00Uh, you've gotta be able to at a glance do it and not spend half a day- Yep … and
- 16:0515 people to make it happen, uh, right?
- 16:08Mm-hmm.
- 16:08That unify that data.
- 16:10Another thing that you brought up, uh, was about the dual sourcing strategies.
- 16:14Yep.
- 16:14So I wanna talk about that a little bit.
- 16:17And, and in terms of a recommendation when things are so shifting so
- 16:22quickly, like if you need the one widget for your product- Mm-hmm
- 16:25and, you know, there's probably 15 people or places around the
- 16:29world that make that widget.
- 16:30Claudine Ogilvie : Yep.
- 16:31Denise Killian: Mm-hmm.
- 16:32But who has what and when can sometimes be in so much flux.
- 16:36So what is the recommendation there?
- 16:40Claudine Ogilvie : I'm so glad you asked.
- 16:41So, um, so on- once you get all your suppliers into Hivepix, um, I think,
- 16:48uh, the really or a really impo- uh, powerful tool is that your suppliers,
- 16:52assuming they're in Hivepix, and if they're not, like I said, you can
- 16:55import their data on their behalf 'cause they've given it to you anyway.
- 16:58So that gives you a unique, um, visibility that was, um, difficult to obtain before.
- 17:02But, but if they are in Hivepix, they can actually make their entire product
- 17:06catalog public, and what that means is, as you might say your website,
- 17:10and you might say, "Hey, I'm happy for everyone to see what I have," right?
- 17:14Um, you can
- 17:15That means that your customers can then see all of the products that you
- 17:19have, whether or not you purchased that product, which would be what
- 17:22would be in your ERP system, right?
- 17:24Um, but maybe I need a slightly different product or maybe, um, an
- 17:28alternate or, um, you know, a product would, would, you know, would suffice.
- 17:33Uh, for example, except that because I didn't buy it, it's not in my systems.
- 17:36I can't search for it.
- 17:38But in Hivepix, um, you know, you can put everything in, uh, in
- 17:42Hivepix so that it's searchable.
- 17:44We have a client who, um- Who, uh, explicitly needs great visibility,
- 17:50not just of the product spec, but of their distributors', um, uh,
- 17:55inventory and pricing specific to them.
- 17:59Um, so that they can then bundle and package and reshape that, those
- 18:04products and then on-sell them.
- 18:06That's kind of their business model.
- 18:07And, uh, and so they've, uh, onboarded one of their major su-
- 18:12uh, suppliers and distributors to specifically provide, um, uh, in-
- 18:17inventory and pricing data to them.
- 18:19Because you don't have to…
- 18:20W- when you put, uh, information in Hypix, we have, like, these granular,
- 18:24uh, uh, uh, security and permissions so that you can decide that company
- 18:29A sees this kind of data, company B sees slightly different data.
- 18:34It gives you real power as to how you go to market and who, you know, what pricing
- 18:39do different, um, customers see because maybe they're in a different tier, maybe
- 18:43you've broken a different deal with them because of volume or whatever the,
- 18:46whatever your deal happens to be, right?
- 18:48Um, so Hypix gives them full control from a distributor and supplier perspective
- 18:53to put out to market what they want in the way that they want it, right?
- 18:56So from a supplier-distributor perspective, it's win-win.
- 18:59They, they get a new channel to market, a new ta- channel to sell more.
- 19:04From a customer perspective, they can see more of, um, different
- 19:08products from different suppliers and distributors, and they can make
- 19:11better, more informed decisions.
- 19:13Not just for, say, um, sourcing in the moment, but also for strategic sourcing.
- 19:19As you sort of mentioned, Denise, it's also dual sourcing strategies.
- 19:23Look, if, you know, if I can't get it from supplier A, I can get it from
- 19:27supplier B. You know, um, what if the Baltimore Bridge goes down and, and
- 19:31suddenly there's just no availability?
- 19:33It's got nothing to do with pricing.
- 19:35Um, uh, you know, who else can I turn to for the volumes that I need?
- 19:38And it's often not just, like, the one supplier.
- 19:41Sometimes you have to turn to multiples.
- 19:43Now, how do you find that fast?
- 19:44And so in Hypix, we've, um, we've unlocked this ability to, to search across
- 19:50products, across, um, uh, your suppliers, across, um, like, you know, almost any
- 19:56angle that you'd like to see, uh, you know, who and what are out there, um, uh,
- 20:02in your, in your particular ecosystem.
- 20:04So you, you basically are empowered to build out your
- 20:07ecosystems that matter to you.
- 20:10Um, and in that way you get this sort of unparalleled visibility.
- 20:14Um, visibility is key here.
- 20:17You know, uh, I think a lot of the data exists- Um, but it's really hard to
- 20:21get, um, up-to-date information fast.
- 20:25Um, and I think today, uh, this particular company I was talking
- 20:29about before would have to ring up every distributor and supplier and
- 20:32be like, "So what have you got?
- 20:34At what price?
- 20:35You know, what's available?
- 20:36All right." And then only after, sometimes it can be a week or two,
- 20:40um, of ringing around, do they really understand what is available at what
- 20:44price, and then they can confidently bundle, repackage, and then sell, right?
- 20:47Um, that's insane.
- 20:49Whereas it should be just click button , search, select appropriate products,
- 20:55um, and then, then on you go, right?
- 20:58So they, they see this as a huge, um, competitive unlock for them.
- 21:04Uh, and their distributor suppliers see this as a whole new channel to market
- 21:10where they can sell more, more quickly.
- 21:12So this is, um… I love this use case 'cause it's such a
- 21:14win-win across the supply chain.
- 21:17Denise Killian: No, absolutely.
- 21:18And I would imagine having that information all in kind of one
- 21:21place can also kind of help you identify some of the predictors
- 21:26before a big disruption happens.
- 21:30Claudine Ogilvie : Uh, y- maybe, maybe.
- 21:33Um, before, uh, predict-- in what, what were you thinking, Denise?
- 21:37Denise Killian: Like if you're seeing- Yeah, interpret the question … um, that
- 21:39there are fewer of this widget, right?
- 21:41We're gonna go back to the widget.
- 21:42Oh.
- 21:42Claudine Ogilvie : Oh, I see.
- 21:43Denise Killian: There are fewer of this widget, and your main
- 21:45supplier has fewer of this widget.
- 21:46Yeah.
- 21:46But then I'm looking around- I'm with you.
- 21:48I'm with you … but I'm seeing, oh wait, there's fewer here and there's
- 21:50fewer here and there's fewer here.
- 21:53In terms of predicting there could be something going on, I need to act now and
- 21:58not wait and see if, if it turns around.
- 22:02Claudine Ogilvie : Yeah.
- 22:02Actually, that's a really good point.
- 22:04I mean, if you, if you can see before anybody else, uh, that there is a, uh,
- 22:09um, a supply challenge or availability challenge, it really gives you, um,
- 22:15the information and the tools to go forth and, and address that first.
- 22:19Maybe get the supplier that, uh, that, you know, get, get to that supplier first.
- 22:25That's, that's another option, but also sort of get on top of your strategies
- 22:28as to how are you gonna mitigate, um, uh, a potential, uh, looming issue.
- 22:33Yeah, no, 100%.
- 22:34And you know, speed and being first to market, uh, or certainly, uh, being first
- 22:39to, uh, supply if supply-demand is being challenged can mean, uh, having product
- 22:45to sell, having no product to sell.
- 22:46Absolutely.
- 22:47Yep.
- 22:49Denise Killian: And, you know, uh, uh, as, as an example, years ago, uh, Southwest,
- 22:53an American airline, was really, really smart and had some foresight and say, "I
- 22:59think gas prices are going up," and they bought a ton of gas, and they were able…
- 23:04A, a ton of jet fuel that they had in stock, like ready to go, where every
- 23:09other airline had to start raising their prices and raising their prices
- 23:12and raising their prices, and they got to stay and increase their business
- 23:17because they didn't increase their price because the main indicator for your
- 23:22airline fare is the cost of jet fuel.
- 23:24Yeah.
- 23:25And they had a stockpile already at that previous price.
- 23:29So being able to see like, oh, if this is… If there's fewer of this widget,
- 23:34or I'm seeing the prices go up on this on multiple suppliers, I kinda need to
- 23:40act now before it gets worse, right?
- 23:43Claudine Ogilvie : Yeah.
- 23:44Yeah, no, a hun- 100%.
- 23:45Um, uh, I mean, that's, um, you know, uh, a hedging and, uh, call it
- 23:52strategic sourcing for resilience.
- 23:54Uh, they, they were really smart, and a lot of airlines try to, try to do that.
- 23:58Some do it better than others and, um, yeah, speed to market and having
- 24:01the insights before the others can, uh, make all the difference.
- 24:05Yeah, absolutely.
- 24:06Yeah.
- 24:07So-
- 24:08Denise Killian: So as we're winding down our time, unfortunately, 'cause we could
- 24:11talk for hours and hours, uh, my friend.
- 24:14You're so smart about so many things.
- 24:16I wanna ask you, if you could give a piece of advice to any business leader
- 24:23out there that about their supply chain going forward, what would it be?
- 24:31Claudine Ogilvie : It, it would simply be you've already got a lot of data.
- 24:35Uh, I haven't come across a business that doesn't have data.
- 24:38It's just how usable and accessible is it, you know, so that you can translate
- 24:43that into both better insights for decision-making and, and unlocking
- 24:48your time as a business person, right?
- 24:49Um, so, uh, I would say it's not as hard as it used to be.
- 24:53Um, you know, there are tools out there like Hivepix that help you
- 24:57automate, um, the exchange of product data across supply chain partners.
- 25:01So you get that automation, um, the, the cost out, um, benefits of course.
- 25:07But also there are much bigger, more strategic plays here.
- 25:10Like, once you get, um, access to this ecosystem of data, it unlocks,
- 25:16um, better sales, uh, um, for you.
- 25:18Not just for you, but your entire ecosystem, right?
- 25:21You kind of become the, the, the preferred, um, supplier
- 25:25or customer to work with.
- 25:26You know, being part of an ecosystem like this, that is win-win.
- 25:30Um, you know, it unlocks, uh, sales, it unlocks savings.
- 25:33Uh, it helps to protect your margins.
- 25:35I mean, all these things make, all these things make an enormous difference in
- 25:39a really competitive market where AI is becoming, uh, uh, increasingly… Uh,
- 25:45it's, it's embedded part of your business.
- 25:47It's often it's backend infrastructure, sure, and it's sort of becoming
- 25:50a part of the tools that you use.
- 25:52But also it's, um, you know, it's the front end stuff
- 25:56like the pilots that you use.
- 25:57And, and if you wanna start using AI to start unlocking even, even
- 26:02simple use cases, um, you know, don't, don't be afraid that you don't
- 26:06have the data to, to get it done.
- 26:08You know, I think, um, you know, you can unify it pretty easily.
- 26:13You can get it into one spot and, and spin up your, say, um, a product
- 26:17template within Hivepix really easily, like drag and drop kind of stuff.
- 26:21Um, and so yeah, don't be afraid.
- 26:23Give it a go.
- 26:24Lean into it.
- 26:25Um, AI and, um, and data is the unlock to competitiveness, to freeing up
- 26:32your time and improving your margins.
- 26:36Denise Killian: Excellent.
- 26:37Excellent.
- 26:38Claudine, how can people get ahold of you or learn more about Hivepix?
- 26:43Claudine Ogilvie : Yeah, glad you asked.
