Transcript
- 0:02SPEAKER_00: Hello, everyone.
- 0:04SPEAKER_00: Welcome back to Crushing Strongholds.
- 0:06SPEAKER_00: This is a podcast where we turn pain into power, trauma into triumph, and a place where we can expose the lies of the enemy and break curses.
- 0:16SPEAKER_00: And how do we do this?
- 0:18SPEAKER_00: We do this through truth and equipping believers to walk in lasting freedom, okay?
- 0:25SPEAKER_00: Through the grace and the power of Jesus Christ.
- 0:27SPEAKER_00: You see, your voice and your testimony has an impact on dismantling strongholds.
- 0:33SPEAKER_00: And that is truly the heart of this podcast.
- 0:36SPEAKER_00: We want to dismantle and crush strongholds.
- 0:39SPEAKER_00: So thank you for joining me today.
- 0:41SPEAKER_00: My name is Mickey.
- 0:42SPEAKER_00: I'm a Christian life coach, as well as your host today.
- 0:45SPEAKER_00: And I'm super excited because we are on day three, day three of our seven-day overflow challenge workshop.
- 0:55SPEAKER_00: Now, that seems like a lot all in one mouthful, okay?
- 0:58SPEAKER_00: And um yes, it is.
- 1:01SPEAKER_00: But let me share.
- 1:03SPEAKER_00: Challenging yourself is super important, okay?
- 1:07SPEAKER_00: And for me, this has been a big challenge.
- 1:09SPEAKER_00: Um, normally I do a podcast once a week.
- 1:13SPEAKER_00: So for me to jump into this and take on a seven-day challenge has just it's it's been exciting but nerve-wracking because I want to make sure I have it and get in and do it on time and just do everything that I say I'm gonna do.
- 1:27SPEAKER_00: So not only is the pressure on a little bit each day, but I'm not used to doing podcasts seven days a week.
- 1:33SPEAKER_00: So it's a challenge for myself as well as a workshop, because when you do a workshop, you have to put the work into it.
- 1:39SPEAKER_00: So I'm challenging you, my friends, to get on this podcast and to jump in.
- 1:44SPEAKER_00: If you haven't done day one or two, go back and do them, grab the worksheets, they're in the description notes on each podcast that I'm given in the seven-day series.
- 1:54SPEAKER_00: So let's move on today.
- 1:56SPEAKER_00: Day three.
- 1:57SPEAKER_00: We are still talking about overflow, and the reason we're talking about overflow is because God has poured into me so much over the last couple of years, um, more than more than ever, um, through his word, through friendships, and through um just teaching me um how to work on myself.
- 2:24SPEAKER_00: And and that's been really huge.
- 2:26SPEAKER_00: So in day three overflow, I want to talk about what that looks like in the valley, okay, and how do we get a refill?
- 2:34SPEAKER_00: Because I don't know about you guys, there's times when I was stuck in the valley, sometimes even longer than I should have been, okay.
- 2:43SPEAKER_00: I've been I was sitting on needing a refill for a long time, okay.
- 2:47SPEAKER_00: So I'm gonna share a little bit of a testimony with you today, because there literally was a season that I found myself in a very deep valley, okay?
- 2:58SPEAKER_00: I was spiritually dry, emotionally worn, and um even though I had already once walked in overflow prior to the season that I was going into, which sometimes seasons will come and go, and there'll be a great season, there'll be a lot of flourishing, you'll produce fruit, there'll be blooming.
- 3:17SPEAKER_00: Um, you're thinking you're making headway, and then the next thing you know, you drop down into the valley and you just kind of get stuck there for a minute or for for a while.
- 3:26SPEAKER_00: For me, a minute was like almost six years.
- 3:29SPEAKER_00: Um, three years definitely, but it took me three years of being stuck there and three years of me getting out.
- 3:35SPEAKER_00: So uh, but I felt so empty.
- 3:38SPEAKER_00: I I felt empty despite um continuing to give and to serve.
- 3:43SPEAKER_00: I I kept still trying to pour out, but I didn't have anything.
- 3:46SPEAKER_00: I didn't have anything left in me.
- 3:48SPEAKER_00: Okay, all I had was a lot of grief and a lot of frustration, um, a lot of anger, and uh and a lot of stuff was built up that I had held on to for years and years and years and years.
- 4:01SPEAKER_00: And when I got down into this valley, um, as I started to make my way back out of it, a lot of stuff started to manifest.
- 4:09SPEAKER_00: So I was in a really low place.
- 4:11SPEAKER_00: God reminded me that He is not only the God of the mountaintop, He is also the God in the valley.
- 4:20SPEAKER_00: So I don't know where you're at, what climb you're on, or what you're going through, but remember that God is the God of the mountaintop and the valley, He's the God of all of it, okay, all over.
- 4:35SPEAKER_00: Um, He also wants your cup to overflow even in the valley, okay?
- 4:43SPEAKER_00: So you can't overflow if you don't refill.
- 4:45SPEAKER_00: You have to get a refill, even if you're down low and discouraged, okay?
- 4:50SPEAKER_00: So we're gonna look at some scripture about that because Psalms 23 actually, the whole book of Psalms actually declares this, okay?
- 4:56SPEAKER_00: So I realize overflow doesn't happen just automatically.
- 5:01SPEAKER_00: For me, um there are days when I try to try to put it on autopilot.
- 5:07SPEAKER_00: I don't know if you've ever done that.
- 5:08SPEAKER_00: Like, hey, I'm gonna put myself on autopilot and just see how that works out for me.
- 5:12SPEAKER_00: Not so well, by the way, it doesn't work out that great.
- 5:16SPEAKER_00: Um, trust me, you you want to not be running like that.
- 5:21SPEAKER_00: You want to be able to be mindful and thinking about what you're actually doing.
- 5:25SPEAKER_00: Okay, it literally requires intentional refueling.
- 5:31SPEAKER_00: Okay, you need to do it intentionally.
- 5:34SPEAKER_00: And um, before I begin, it took me a while to just return to the source, like like the first, like day one.
- 5:45SPEAKER_00: Where does the source come from?
- 5:47SPEAKER_00: It comes from God.
- 5:48SPEAKER_00: How many times have you walked through the valley alone by yourself, trying to handle it all?
- 5:55SPEAKER_00: And you're pulling all that baggage and it's weighing you down, and you just wish, and you're just thinking, I wish somebody was here to help me.
- 6:04SPEAKER_00: Well, God is always there.
- 6:06SPEAKER_00: God, the source is always there for you, okay?
- 6:09SPEAKER_00: It's never gonna go anywhere.
- 6:11SPEAKER_00: So um, I stopped striving in that and I started receiving, and that's when as low as I got, I was able to actually pick myself up and work going towards the top of the mountain, okay?
- 6:27SPEAKER_00: So, but here's the great thing: God met me there.
- 6:33SPEAKER_00: He didn't wait for me to get my act together and get over my boo-hoo moments and my self-pity and my unforgiveness and my bitterness and that my my greediness and whatever baggage I was carrying with all of these manifestations that were happening with me in my life, um, as I was realizing that I was that beaver in the dam, you know, God met me right where I was.
- 7:01SPEAKER_00: And that helped me tremendously to know that all along while I was trying to do it all on my own, he was still just waiting for me.
- 7:11SPEAKER_00: He met me there right where I was, okay.
- 7:13SPEAKER_00: So remember that God's gonna meet you right where you're where you're at.
- 7:16SPEAKER_00: And if that's today, I hope he meets you there today.
- 7:20SPEAKER_00: Because I don't want you to go a minute longer without it.
- 7:24SPEAKER_00: I don't want you to go any further without the word or God's promises or God.
- 7:30SPEAKER_00: Like you don't want to go without him, okay?
- 7:33SPEAKER_00: So after after I returned to God, guess what happened?
- 7:39SPEAKER_00: Guess what happened when I started leaning on the source?
- 7:42SPEAKER_00: The overflow started coming.
- 7:44SPEAKER_00: He started filling me up, and I wasn't so dry.
- 7:48SPEAKER_00: And I was able to start working on myself.
- 7:55SPEAKER_00: And not that the circumstances changed necessarily, but through the renewed connection that changed within me, I was able to process through the circumstance in a much better way than I had been processing in my past circumstances.
- 8:13SPEAKER_00: And I hope that makes some sense to you because it's important to know that we may think, oh, we're gonna call on God, and our circumstances are just gonna go on halt and they're gonna change just because we ask for God to change our circumstance.
- 8:26SPEAKER_00: And sometimes, yes, he can change your circumstance, but sometimes he wants you to go through your circumstance because he wants you to learn something, he wants you to gain something from it, okay?
- 8:35SPEAKER_00: So let's look at today's scripture.
- 8:36SPEAKER_00: I want to look at two real quick, and I don't want to keep you too long, so I want to get to moving here.
- 8:40SPEAKER_00: Okay, so we're gonna look at Psalms 23, verse 4.
- 8:44SPEAKER_00: If you have your Bibles, get it out, put it in your hand, and let's dive in and let's get fed today.
- 8:49SPEAKER_00: I really want people to get fed the word of God.
- 8:52SPEAKER_00: Psalms 23, 4 says, Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil.
- 9:01SPEAKER_00: For you are with me.
- 9:04SPEAKER_00: Your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
- 9:08SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 9:09SPEAKER_00: So let's break this down and start talking about it.
- 9:11SPEAKER_00: The verse expresses that um in God's presence and protection is always going to be there, even in our darkest times and even in dangerous moments.
- 9:23SPEAKER_00: He's still there.
- 9:24SPEAKER_00: Okay, sometimes we think he's not, but he's still he is still there, okay?
- 9:28SPEAKER_00: So don't fret, okay?
- 9:30SPEAKER_00: So in the valley of the shadow of death, it symbolizes deep trials, danger, and even facing death.
- 9:36SPEAKER_00: So I don't know if you face death, I've faced death many times in my lifetime.
- 9:41SPEAKER_00: Um not only with myself, but people that I've lost in my lifetime.
- 9:44SPEAKER_00: So I've had to um um encounter death in a few different ways, okay?
- 9:51SPEAKER_00: And so it can be really scary and it can be really frightening, but God was always there.
- 9:56SPEAKER_00: God always shows up, okay?
- 9:58SPEAKER_00: And sometimes even if he's there and he doesn't make himself known, it's because um you're not ready for it.
- 10:06SPEAKER_00: You're not ready, okay?
- 10:07SPEAKER_00: God wants you to call on him, okay?
- 10:10SPEAKER_00: He's gonna wait for you to seek him, he's not gonna chase you to a point where um he's forcing you, okay, if that makes any sense.
- 10:20SPEAKER_00: So I will I will fear no evil.
- 10:22SPEAKER_00: Okay, so this is the book of Psalms again.
- 10:25SPEAKER_00: David wrote the book of Psalms, and um, so we're David is the one actually speaking this, okay.
- 10:31SPEAKER_00: Think about it, he's in a in a really dark place and um facing death, but he's not even afraid.
- 10:39SPEAKER_00: He's not even afraid.
- 10:40SPEAKER_00: Well, why?
- 10:41SPEAKER_00: Well, the next part of that scripture, he says, For you are with me.
- 10:44SPEAKER_00: And he's talking to God.
- 10:46SPEAKER_00: God's presence gives him that courage, that armor that he needs to not even be afraid in the deepest dangers and the darkness and and the and the hardships and the death and the despair.
- 10:59SPEAKER_00: David is unafraid because God is with him.
- 11:03SPEAKER_00: Now, the rod and thy staff, these are tools.
- 11:06SPEAKER_00: These are tools that the shepherd um uses to guide and protect sheep.
- 11:12SPEAKER_00: So this is a representation of God's guidance and care.
- 11:16SPEAKER_00: So I just want to share that with you.
- 11:17SPEAKER_00: I think that's amazing.
- 11:18SPEAKER_00: Isn't that pretty awesome?
- 11:20SPEAKER_00: So let's look at another scripture real quick.
- 11:22SPEAKER_00: I want to keep it moving, keep it moving, because I know, I know y'all are busy.
- 11:28SPEAKER_00: And doing this seven days a week, we all are busy.
- 11:31SPEAKER_00: So I'm excited.
- 11:33SPEAKER_00: I thank you for being here.
- 11:35SPEAKER_00: Second Corinthians, uh, second Corinthians I don't know.
- 11:41SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah, 2 Corinthians 12, 9.
- 11:43SPEAKER_00: I seen a 7 and it threw me off for a minute.
- 11:45SPEAKER_00: Okay, 2 Corinthians 12 9.
- 11:48SPEAKER_00: Okay, bear with me.
- 11:49SPEAKER_00: And he said to me, My grace is sufficient for you.
- 11:54SPEAKER_00: My strength is made perfect in weakness.
- 11:59SPEAKER_00: In weakness.
- 12:01SPEAKER_00: Therefore, most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
- 12:11SPEAKER_00: Okay?
- 12:13SPEAKER_00: God's grace is sufficient.
- 12:16SPEAKER_00: It's not lacking anything.
- 12:20SPEAKER_00: We may be lacking.
- 12:22SPEAKER_00: Sometimes when we don't get the overflow of grace, it's because we have lack of faith in the grace that God's pouring onto us.
- 12:31SPEAKER_00: We don't believe that He can actually give us that much grace.
- 12:36SPEAKER_00: There is so much grace, and it's sufficient.
- 12:40SPEAKER_00: He's not gonna leave us empty-handed.
- 12:43SPEAKER_00: The only times we become empty-handed is if we just don't believe in it, if we don't believe in it and have faith in it.
- 12:50SPEAKER_00: So we need to we need to think about it like this.
- 12:54SPEAKER_00: Okay, so this is part of Paul's reflection on his personal struggle.
- 13:00SPEAKER_00: He's literally facing a thorn, like a thorn in his side.
- 13:03SPEAKER_00: It's a fleshly mental struggle, and he's asking God to remove it.
- 13:09SPEAKER_00: He's saying, God, remove this for me, okay?
- 13:12SPEAKER_00: But instead of taking it away, God gave him a much deeper truth.
- 13:19SPEAKER_00: Okay, he said, My grace is sufficient for you.
- 13:24SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 13:25SPEAKER_00: What I love about this is even though Paul did not earn God's grace, it was unearned.
- 13:37SPEAKER_00: He gave it to him, and he gave him strength.
- 13:40SPEAKER_00: And he gave him enough, even in the hardship, to get through it.
- 13:45SPEAKER_00: He may not remove the circumstance, he may not remove the struggle, he may not take away all the pain.
- 13:52SPEAKER_00: He's going to give you what it takes, though, to make your way through it with him with you.
- 13:59SPEAKER_00: And I really want you to understand that when we're talking about this episode today, because when we're talking about being in the valley and the dark places and needing that refill, sometimes we think, why doesn't God just take it from us?
- 14:12SPEAKER_00: Well, God will refill us, but he may not change the circumstance.
- 14:17SPEAKER_00: He may not fix what's going on.
- 14:20SPEAKER_00: He may want you to walk in it, but he's going to give you the strength to walk in it.
- 14:25SPEAKER_00: You know why?
- 14:26SPEAKER_00: Jesus had to do that on the cross.
- 14:29SPEAKER_00: Nothing that we go through will ever, ever be what be anything like what Jesus did for us.
- 14:38SPEAKER_00: So God knows what we're capable of handling.
- 14:41SPEAKER_00: You know, he's not going to give us more than we can handle without him helping us.
- 14:46SPEAKER_00: Okay, we need to understand God's power shows most clearly that when we are weak and struggling, that's when we rely on him the most.
- 15:00SPEAKER_00: I mentioned that in episode two, I believe, that we rely on God always when we're in a battle or in a struggle or something scary is happening.
- 15:11SPEAKER_00: You know, when things are going perfectly fine and smooth, sometimes we forget to even acknowledge God, which we shouldn't be doing that.
- 15:19SPEAKER_00: But it makes sense that the one time that we call out to God is literally when we are in the middle of a struggle or a battle, okay?
- 15:32SPEAKER_00: In the battle of it, okay.
- 15:36SPEAKER_00: Paul chooses to boast about his weakness.
- 15:39SPEAKER_00: He doesn't hide his weakness.
- 15:41SPEAKER_00: He tells God, I have this issue.
- 15:44SPEAKER_00: I want you to take it from me.
- 15:46SPEAKER_00: And God just doesn't do it.
- 15:48SPEAKER_00: God doesn't take it, but he gets him through it.
- 15:52SPEAKER_00: He gets him through it.
- 15:53SPEAKER_00: He meets him right where he's at.
- 15:57SPEAKER_00: And sometimes that's what we need.
- 15:59SPEAKER_00: We need God to meet us where we are.
- 16:01SPEAKER_00: We want to sometimes always hand off our stuff, all of our stuff, on to somebody else.
- 16:06SPEAKER_00: Here, take this.
- 16:07SPEAKER_00: I don't want to deal with this no more.
- 16:08SPEAKER_00: I don't want to handle it.
- 16:10SPEAKER_00: I don't want the responsibility.
- 16:13SPEAKER_00: God says, uh-uh.
- 16:16SPEAKER_00: Even though I'm gonna have you go through it, I'm just gonna put a guarantee on it that I'm gonna be right here with you.
- 16:21SPEAKER_00: And I think that's absolutely amazing.
- 16:23SPEAKER_00: I love how God operates.
- 16:25SPEAKER_00: You know, He He literally has so much grace that we are we are oblivious to how much grace He has.
- 16:32SPEAKER_00: That's why we don't get our full cup sometimes because of that grace, because we don't have faith in how much grace he really wants to pour on us.
- 16:39SPEAKER_00: Let him pour grace on you today.
- 16:41SPEAKER_00: Let him meet you where you are right now.
- 16:44SPEAKER_00: It's so amazing, so exciting.
- 16:47SPEAKER_00: I I don't even I don't even know.
- 16:50SPEAKER_00: When I started learning God's word and letting it absorb into myself and started working on me, I get excited about that.
- 16:59SPEAKER_00: I don't know why anybody wouldn't be excited knowing that grace is never gonna run out on me.
- 17:06SPEAKER_00: Okay, I've run out on God so many times, and yet He's not gonna run out on me, even though I was undeserving, He's not gonna run out on me.
- 17:18SPEAKER_00: Even though I shied away, even though I hid, even though I did so many things that I know disappointed God.
- 17:28SPEAKER_00: He still did not run away, he still stayed and met me where I was, even in my weakest moments, and he allowed his abundance of grace to overflow upon me because he wants us to overflow on other people.
- 17:44SPEAKER_00: So here's our daily challenge today, okay?
- 17:46SPEAKER_00: Here's the challenge for you.
- 17:48SPEAKER_00: Like I said, this challenge workshop is because I'm challenging you to do something and you're gonna need to do the work to get through it, okay?
- 17:55SPEAKER_00: I want you to take 10 to 15 minutes and go to a quiet place, no phones, no distractions, nothing at all.
- 18:01SPEAKER_00: If you can do that, please do that.
- 18:02SPEAKER_00: That would be the best way to take on this challenge is by giving yourself, allow yourself 10 to 15 minutes for some quiet space, okay?
- 18:12SPEAKER_00: Then knowing God can use our weakness for his glory, I want you to think of a weakness that you have, and I want you to write it down.
- 18:22SPEAKER_00: What is one weakness that you have?
- 18:25SPEAKER_00: And then I want you, now this is gonna seem a little odd, but I want you to pray to God, and I want you to pray and ask God if he will use that weakness for his glory.
- 18:37SPEAKER_00: Because he does.
- 18:41SPEAKER_00: God uses uses people's weaknesses for his glory.
- 18:46SPEAKER_00: Because when you come out on the other side and you share your testimony and you say, You know how I got through that?
- 18:53SPEAKER_00: You want to know how I got through that struggle?
- 18:54SPEAKER_00: Right here.
- 18:55SPEAKER_00: This this word of God right here, I'm dropping everything in my lap.
- 18:59SPEAKER_00: This word of God right here, and prayer and supplication, and sitting at Jesus' feet, that is how I got through some of the toughest and most hurtful and hard times in my entire life.
- 19:15SPEAKER_00: I got through it with God.
- 19:16SPEAKER_00: And that's where he gets the glory because when we tell other people's people, other people about it and other people's, he gets all the glory for it.
- 19:25SPEAKER_00: That's why he does this, okay?
- 19:27SPEAKER_00: That's why sometimes we have to go through the valley.
- 19:30SPEAKER_00: So I want you to take your weakness, write it down, pray about it.
- 19:35SPEAKER_00: And I want you to ask God to use it for his glory.
- 19:38SPEAKER_00: And not only that, I want you to ask God to show you what that looks like.
- 19:43SPEAKER_00: And the rest of the day, see, that's not even a hard challenge, y'all.
- 19:46SPEAKER_00: Like, I really don't even think that's a hard challenge, but for some of you, it may be very, very, very difficult because there's some strong individuals out there, or I should say strong-willed individuals, because that was me for years.
- 19:57SPEAKER_00: I was so strong, I didn't need anybody's help.
- 20:00SPEAKER_00: I didn't want anybody's help because I could take it, I could handle it all on my own.
- 20:03SPEAKER_00: But that was a weakness in itself.
- 20:05SPEAKER_00: So if that's you too, think about this.
- 20:07SPEAKER_00: Everyone has a weakness.
- 20:09SPEAKER_00: We all have one, okay.
- 20:13SPEAKER_00: Ask God to show you throughout the day.
- 20:16SPEAKER_00: I want you to think on think on it, think about it, and let God work through you.
- 20:21SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 20:22SPEAKER_00: So now before we close, okay, we're getting to the end, we're wrapping it up here, folks.
- 20:26SPEAKER_00: Okay, we're getting down to the nitty-gritty, okay.
- 20:29SPEAKER_00: Before we close in prayer, um, let's finish this challenge by you doing me a favor, if you could please.
- 20:36SPEAKER_00: If you could go to Facebook or wherever you saw this post, um, wherever you picked up this podcast from, whatever platform you're on, if you could share it and like and comment on it, um, share it with five people, overflow onto five other people.
- 20:56SPEAKER_00: You may want not want to go go to five people and be like, hey, I want to share this word with you today.
- 21:02SPEAKER_00: But I want to.
- 21:05SPEAKER_00: So share me, share it.
- 21:07SPEAKER_00: I'm okay with that.
- 21:09SPEAKER_00: I encourage you to do that, share it with five people so we can overflow.
- 21:14SPEAKER_00: Okay, it's important that we engage, it's important that we are out there sharing the gospel of Jesus.
- 21:21SPEAKER_00: Because a lot of people, you know, we we just kind of don't do it, you know, sometimes.
- 21:25SPEAKER_00: And so we need to be doing it.
- 21:26SPEAKER_00: Everyone needs to be doing it.
- 21:28SPEAKER_00: We are all called to do this, excuse me.
- 21:31SPEAKER_00: So, and if you haven't, go to my website, go in, fill out the welcome information, and put in the note in there.
- 21:38SPEAKER_00: Um, overflow.
- 21:40SPEAKER_00: Leave me a note, overflow so I know that you came to my podcast.
- 21:44SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 21:45SPEAKER_00: And um just drop me a line.
- 21:48SPEAKER_00: Um, if you have comments or if you have questions about today's podcast, put in there, say, hey, day three, I have a question about this, this, this, or this.
- 21:56SPEAKER_00: I'll be glad to answer your questions.
- 21:57SPEAKER_00: And if I don't know the answer, I'm gonna look it up for you.
- 22:00SPEAKER_00: I'll try to find it.
- 22:01SPEAKER_00: I will do my best.
- 22:02SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 22:03SPEAKER_00: I promise.
- 22:03SPEAKER_00: Excuse me, I have a dry throat today.
- 22:07SPEAKER_00: The weather's changing.
- 22:09SPEAKER_00: Temperatures are moving all around.
- 22:11SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 22:12SPEAKER_00: So let's start the overflow right here by sharing today's message and engaging in in this podcast.
- 22:20SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 22:21SPEAKER_00: So I want to close with you.
- 22:23SPEAKER_00: I want to close in prayer.
- 22:25SPEAKER_00: I want to um give it all to God because God gets the glory.
- 22:30SPEAKER_00: God gets the glory for this podcast.
- 22:31SPEAKER_00: God gets the glory for you.
- 22:33SPEAKER_00: He gets the glory for everything he's doing in your life.
- 22:36SPEAKER_00: Everything he's done in my life.
- 22:37SPEAKER_00: I give God all the glory.
- 22:40SPEAKER_00: Because I couldn't have done it by myself.
- 22:42SPEAKER_00: Although I thought I could have a thousand and one times over, I really thought I didn't need God.
- 22:46SPEAKER_00: I thought I could handle it.
- 22:48SPEAKER_00: That didn't pan out too well for me, by the way.
- 22:51SPEAKER_00: So let's pray together, shall we?
- 22:52SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 22:53SPEAKER_00: Heavenly Father, God, Lord, we thank you, Lord.
- 22:55SPEAKER_00: We praise you, Father.
- 22:56SPEAKER_00: We thank you so much.
- 22:59SPEAKER_00: We worship you.
- 23:00SPEAKER_00: We just thank you for showing us that even in tough times and in struggles, Lord, and being in what it seems to be a dark place, you continue to stay steadfast and unwavering.
- 23:14SPEAKER_00: You continue to pour out onto us and use us for what glorifies you.
- 23:21SPEAKER_00: Lord, today, I pray that for every person listening and everyone following along this week, as we continue the seven-day challenge, Lord, that I pray that you open our eyes and our hearts to receive your overflow, no matter what we might be facing.
- 23:41SPEAKER_00: Lord, I pray you give us strength to pour out onto others, even in our trials and tribulations.
- 23:49SPEAKER_00: Lord, I thank you for this podcast where I can freely share your word and share with others that they're not alone.
- 23:58SPEAKER_00: They're not alone.
- 24:00SPEAKER_00: I want them to hear me.
- 24:02SPEAKER_00: They're not alone in this, Lord.
- 24:03SPEAKER_00: You are always present in a time of need and understand our struggles, Lord.
- 24:08SPEAKER_00: Help us today, Father God, to not heed your word, but to share it as well.
- 24:14SPEAKER_00: Lord, continue to pour out your discernment and provision for our lives.
- 24:20SPEAKER_00: And trust.
- 24:26SPEAKER_00: Help us to trust what you pour into us so that we can trust what we're pouring into others, Lord.
- 24:33SPEAKER_00: Give us that trustworthiness, Lord.
- 24:36SPEAKER_00: Your word says to love one another.
- 24:38SPEAKER_00: And this is a way we can show that we love.
- 24:41SPEAKER_00: We can show by pouring out, Lord.
- 24:43SPEAKER_00: And I want to do that.
- 24:44SPEAKER_00: That's what this podcast is about.
- 24:46SPEAKER_00: I share your word in scripture, Lord, because I love you, Lord.
- 24:49SPEAKER_00: And I love people, and I want people to know you, and I want I want people to see you for who you are, Lord.
- 24:54SPEAKER_00: We thank you for all you have already given us, Father God.
- 24:57SPEAKER_00: And we honor you.
- 24:58SPEAKER_00: We love you, God, and we pray this in your precious mighty name.
- 25:02SPEAKER_00: Amen.
- 25:04SPEAKER_00: So if you prayed that, thank you.
- 25:06SPEAKER_00: If you followed along, thank you.
- 25:08SPEAKER_00: I also want to share with you, real quick, for those of you that may not know Jesus, that you're just watching along thinking, I don't know what this is all about, don't know where this is taking me, where this is going.
- 25:18SPEAKER_00: I want to share what is called the salvation prayer, or also known as the sinner's prayer, however you want to look at it.
- 25:26SPEAKER_00: I like salvation prayer because people get saved from it.
- 25:30SPEAKER_00: Um they don't get sin from it.
- 25:33SPEAKER_00: So, anyhow, I just want to share this with you real quick before we close.
- 25:39SPEAKER_00: Dear God, I come to you and admit that I'm a sinner.
- 25:42SPEAKER_00: Please repeat this after me.
- 25:44SPEAKER_00: I believe that your son Jesus died on the cross to take away my sin.
- 25:49SPEAKER_00: I also believe he rose from the dead so I can be justified and made righteous through faith in him, Jesus.
- 25:56SPEAKER_00: I chose to follow you, and I ask that you fill me with the power of the Holy Spirit.
- 26:02SPEAKER_00: Thank you for saving me.
- 26:04SPEAKER_00: Amen.
- 26:05SPEAKER_00: Well, congratulations.
- 26:06SPEAKER_00: If you did pray that welcome to the family of God, go to my webpage, fill out that welcome form, go down into the notes and put I accepted Jesus, and when you do that, I'm gonna send you a note, I'm gonna send you a gift.
- 26:19SPEAKER_00: I mean, and um just something welcoming you.
- 26:22SPEAKER_00: If you are not familiar and you are really new to being a Christian or new to who Jesus is, the best place to start in this book, the greatest book in history, the greatest book in the world, the greatest book of all times, start in the Gospels with Jesus, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.
- 26:41SPEAKER_00: And get into a good word-believing church so that you can learn and grow.
- 26:45SPEAKER_00: And if you have any further questions, um, don't hesitate to ask me.
- 26:49SPEAKER_00: Don't hesitate to ask me at all, okay?
- 26:51SPEAKER_00: So, anyhow, thank you all for joining me today.
- 26:54SPEAKER_00: This is day three of seven.
- 26:56SPEAKER_00: Woo-hoo! And we have completed today's podcast.
- 27:00SPEAKER_00: And I hope that you go in and pull up the worksheet and the challenge, or if you're already following along with that, that's great.
- 27:07SPEAKER_00: The challenge is the same as I talked about in this podcast.
- 27:09SPEAKER_00: So if you don't pull up the worksheet and you listen to the podcast, you could just rewind it and listen to the challenge again, what the daily um challenge is for today.
- 27:19SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 27:20SPEAKER_00: So tomorrow is day four.
- 27:22SPEAKER_00: Whew, we're on a roll here.
- 27:24SPEAKER_00: We're almost, well, well, we're we're right at the middle.
- 27:30SPEAKER_00: Tomorrow's the middle.
- 27:30SPEAKER_00: So stay tuned for day four.
- 27:32SPEAKER_00: Guard your flow while blessing others.
- 27:34SPEAKER_00: We need to guard our flow.
- 27:36SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 27:36SPEAKER_00: We want to bless others, but we just can't give it all away.
- 27:39SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 27:40SPEAKER_00: So we got to be careful with what we're doing with what God gives us.
- 27:43SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 27:44SPEAKER_00: We need to be mindful of that.
- 27:45SPEAKER_00: So, anyway, everyone, thank you so much for tuning in.
- 27:48SPEAKER_00: And I love you.
- 27:50SPEAKER_00: God bless you.
- 27:51SPEAKER_00: And again, another great episode of Christian Strongholds.
- 27:54SPEAKER_00: Take care and have a blessed day.
