- 1:37It helps us so much. All right, let's just get into
- 1:40the stories for today. I'm gonna be honest, these
- 1:42stories are a mixed bag, if you will.
- 1:45It's kind of giving Friday mini scroll where it's just like
- 1:48anything goes. But let's get into it.
- 1:51The first story that I have for you guys today is the JoJo Siwa
- 1:55cruise is going viral all over TikTok.
- 1:59So the past three days, JoJo Siwa has been hosting a cruise
- 2:02with Royal Caribbean on the Utopia of the Seas.
- 2:05This is actually not the first time she has done a cruise.
- 2:08However, this is the first time as far as I can tell that her
- 2:11cruise content has gone so viral from attendees and celebrity
- 2:17cruises are a thing. This is not like totally new,
- 2:19but JoJo Siwa and the activities involved in this cruise truly
- 2:25insane. And that is why it's going so
- 2:27viral because this is the craziest thing that you've ever
- 2:29seen. OK, so let me break down some of
- 2:31the activities for you. This is what it says on their
- 2:34website. Quote.
- 2:34Enjoy meet and greets, Q&A's, dance parties, build a bow, fun.
- 2:39I dance class with JoJo and for the first time ever you will see
- 2:43the Infinity Hard concert at sea.
- 2:45This is the biggest JoJo experience ever.
- 2:48It's literally an immersive JoJo Siwa experience.
- 2:51OK it's so wild. So there are a handful of adult
- 2:56creators who have gone for the memes and basically to like,
- 2:59document it and report back for us, which I love.
- 3:03And according to them, it's actually quite a good
- 3:05experience. Like their content is showing
- 3:08JoJo involved. Like she is mingling with the
- 3:11guests, she is on the dance floor with everyone.
- 3:13Update from the JoJo siwa cruise JoJo siwa concert just ended.
- 3:17It was the most I don't have words for yet 'cause we're still
- 3:23processing, but I'm not kidding when I say the best night of my.
- 3:28Life. I am on the boat.
- 3:31I'm on Utopia of the Seas. This ship is huge.
- 3:34I've been on God. I've been on four different
- 3:38cruise ships now. Like like like lines of cruise
- 3:42ships. This is huge.
- 3:44This is Vegas at sea. There's also so many people
- 3:47here. I am here for the JoJo Siwa
- 3:49cruise. It is a block of this cruise.
- 3:54I've already seen one other family that had like JoJo Siwa
- 3:57cruise shirts on and I think there's 2 fan accounts here so
- 4:04I'm excited to see how this plays out.
- 4:06OK you guys, Annabelle just interrupted me to clarify that
- 4:10the first JoJo Siwa Cruz in 2024 was actually Ex OMG, which was
- 4:14like that girl group that I think no longer exists and was
- 4:18definitely controversial and it was created by JoJo.
- 4:23Was there ATV show. I feel like I used to know this
- 4:25story like the back of my hand, but I can't remember.
- 4:27I think that they formed through ATV show.
- 4:29Annabelle says yes, OK, yes. And then Rolling Stone did that
- 4:33big expose from some of the members and former members on
- 4:37like what it was like behind the scenes being in that group and
- 4:40what JoJo and her mom were like. So anyways, the cruise in 2024
- 4:44was actually an ex OMG pop cruise 2023.
- 4:48That's not the point of this story.
- 4:49Anyways, JoJo Siwa hosted a cruise.
- 4:51OK Amanda Golka from Swell Entertainment is there and she
- 4:55said that Jojo's been actually really sweet with all the
- 4:57guests, especially the children. Like she's making sure that they
- 5:00always feel involved and really including them and stuff.
- 5:04And that leads me to my question.
- 5:07Who is JoJo Siwa's target audience at this point?
- 5:10I feel like she is no longer a child entertainer, but I'm like,
- 5:14who is buying tickets for this? Is it families with young kids?
- 5:18Is it tweens? Is it 20?
- 5:21Somethings that think that this is like a funny meme.
- 5:23Maybe it's all of them. Like who is JoJo Siwa's target
- 5:26audience? Annabelle and I were talking
- 5:28about this earlier and we're like, how does one describe JoJo
- 5:31Siwa? And I was really grappling with
- 5:32that. And then Annabelle goes, she's
- 5:35just a corporation as a person. Like she is the queen of
- 5:38capitalism. And I was like, that is actually
- 5:42the best descriptor of all time. JoJo Siwa is in this for the
- 5:48money and the fame, like means to an end.
- 5:51Like she is not going through that.
- 5:53Like, you know, classic child star to adulthood transition
- 5:57where she like rebels. I mean, I think like karma,
- 5:59quote UN quote was supposed to be that era for her.
- 6:01But that was still like put on like that was still like JoJo
- 6:04Siwa just like instead of wearing rainbow and glitter, she
- 6:07was wearing black and glitter. Like that was still the persona
- 6:09of JoJo Siwa. And that's because JoJo Siwa, it
- 6:12might. My opinion is not in it for like
- 6:14the art, right? She's not in for the craft.
- 6:17She's in it for the gains, for the money, for the clout.
- 6:19And you know what? That's fine.
- 6:21Like get your bag, girl. No matter how you feel about
- 6:23JoJo Siwa, she was literally born to be famous.
- 6:27She is so good at being famous and she clearly loves to be
- 6:30famous. I feel like this cruise for a
- 6:32celebrity as famous as JoJo Siwa would be like a true nightmare
- 6:36for most celebrities. But she is right in there.
- 6:38She is like right in there with the fans, loving every second.
- 6:41At least that's what it looks like.
- 6:42All right, the next story that I have for you guys today is
- 6:45TikTok creator Ian Lightfoot has turned a viral series into a
- 6:48resource to support domestic violence survivors.
- 6:51So Ian Lightfoot is a TikTok creator with nearly 400,000
- 6:54followers. He makes a lot of advocacy and
- 6:57commentary content around politics, racism, LGBTQ rights,
- 7:02women's rights, and recently at domestic violence.
- 7:04So on May 10th he started this multi part series that has gone
- 7:07super viral called Famous Male Abusers, where he talks about
- 7:11allegations against celebrity men who have yet to be quote UN
- 7:14quote cancelled. Essentially, in an effort to
- 7:17draw comparisons or like highlight the hypocrisy between
- 7:20how we treat famous women who we consider to be like annoying,
- 7:24entitled, self-centered, all of that kind of stuff, versus how
- 7:28we treat famous men who have been accused of doing very
- 7:32horrible things. I really wanted to hate Chapo
- 7:34Rone for being kind of mean, but I just couldn't bring myself to
- 7:37do it when there are so many worse things to be so.
- 7:39This is the first installment of famous male abusers who still
- 7:42haven't been cancelled as much as a woman who doesn't smile.
- 7:44Enough. This series has drawn a lot of
- 7:46attention from particularly women online, but everyone
- 7:49online. But now Ian has taken the series
- 7:51one step further and launched a platform called Famous Male
- 7:54abusers.com, where he essentially has put together a
- 7:57table that kind of acts as like a running list of famous men who
- 8:01have been accused of abuse. So the table columns include the
- 8:05person's name, what they're known for, the accusations
- 8:08against them with citations and their accolades, and the site
- 8:11also features a resources section for survivors.
- 8:14In the last. Three days I've.
- 8:15Spent more than. 20 hours creating.
- 8:17An online database of famous. And powerful.
- 8:19Men that. Have been accused of abuse and I
- 8:20would like to walk you through I really.
- 8:22Had two. Main goals with this website,
- 8:24number one was to have a public table with all of the sources
- 8:26and links I used to get information about these men for
- 8:29my videos. The other was to create some
- 8:31sort of inbox for other survivors of famous and powerful
- 8:34men to share their stories, add their alleged abusers to the
- 8:37list, and hopefully feel a little more supported.
- 8:39As you can see, the theme of the website is teal, and that's
- 8:41because teal is the official color for sexual assault
- 8:44survivors. Not every man on here is a
- 8:46sexual abuser but that's a big focus.
- 8:48So I wanted to understand before reporting on this is how people
- 8:52who have experienced domestic violence are receiving the
- 8:55series and now this website. So I read through thousands of
- 8:59comments and there seem to be 3 main sentiments that stand out.
- 9:03First is that overwhelmingly people are grateful to Ian and
- 9:07incredibly supportive of his series and of this resource that
- 9:10he has now created this website. Second, there are some questions
- 9:14about how he's using the money he makes from the TikTok creator
- 9:17fund on this series. Like I said, the series has gone
- 9:20pretty viral. So people are asking like, are
- 9:22you donating this to domestic violence shelters, to any
- 9:25organizations? And I would say the majority of
- 9:28these questions are not asked in any type of like accusatory way.
- 9:32They seem to be genuinely asking or kind of like a nudging him in
- 9:36that direction. So far, as far as I've been able
- 9:38to see, he has not addressed those questions yet.
- 9:42And 3rd, there are some suggestions on how he could
- 9:44improve the website to better support survivors.
- 9:47So, for example, he does have this disclaimer at the top that
- 9:50says inclusion on this list does not prove innocence or guilt.
- 9:54And like, of course, that would be for legal reasons.
- 9:57But some of the feedback argues that this statement kind of
- 9:59erases the work that he's trying to do.
- 10:01So there's suggestions that he can change the wording from
- 10:04innocent to not guilty. And there's also a popular
- 10:07suggestion that he had a column to the table about court
- 10:10proceedings. Anyways, by and large, this has
- 10:13been received very well. And it does seem like a great
- 10:16example of a creator with a really big platform using that
- 10:19platform for something meaningful.
- 10:21There's also a lot of people in the comments saying like, I will
- 10:24do volunteer work for you for free.
- 10:25Well, I guess volunteer work is usually for you, but you know, I
- 10:28will do some work on the website for free.
- 10:30You know, I will help represent you if you ever need that.
- 10:33If any of these powerful men come for you, obviously that is
- 10:36a risk. So yeah, it's really amazing to
- 10:38see. And like I said, so far, people
- 10:41are really appreciative of this work, it seems, and are taking
- 10:44it in good faith. And I think that also says a lot
- 10:47to the reputation that he has built, right.
- 10:49And he does this kind of advocacy on his page, like this
- 10:53kind of like a digital advocacy where he talks about these
- 10:55topics and advocates for certain topics and stuff.
- 10:57Like he's been doing that now for a long time.
- 10:59So he has really built up that reputation.
- 11:01All right, And the next story that I have for you guys today,
- 11:03two names that I honestly never thought I would say again and
- 11:06especially like in the same story or the same sentence, but
- 11:11I'm going to cover the Kat Von D house fire situation and how
- 11:16Jeffrey Star is involved. Normally, I am not covering the
- 11:20insurance and outs of what Jeffrey Star is doing or Kat Von
- 11:23D for that matter. I don't support either of those
- 11:25people. But this story has really blown
- 11:27up because it does have a third person involved.
- 11:30So a man named Tiva Dreschbach has taken to TikTok to publicly
- 11:34accuse Kat Von D of being responsible for a fire that
- 11:38nearly burned down his family's Los Angeles property 16 years
- 11:42ago. In a series of Tik Toks, Tiva
- 11:43claimed that Katz alleged negligence while she was renting
- 11:47the home caused a fire in 2008. According to him, his mother
- 11:51initially leased the property to Cat without issue, but said that
- 11:54he did note a large number of candles throughout the house
- 11:57whenever he visited. He said the home was eventually
- 11:59damaged by a fire that investigators determined was
- 12:02caused by candles. He claims the fire left
- 12:04extensive smoke damage throughout the property and
- 12:06damaged the hardwood floors. And then he was also saying that
- 12:09this fire took a significant toll on his family.
- 12:11OK. So a legal settlement was
- 12:13reached following the incident. But he says the stress of
- 12:17everything contributed to his mother's declining health, and
- 12:20she eventually died from cancer. Morning.
- 12:22I'm going to tell a story that I have had close to my chest since
- 12:26I was a kid. I wasn't able to tell the story
- 12:29or allowed to. I many years ago my my sweet mom
- 12:33had signed an NDA with a celebrity in order to avoid
- 12:38trial and get a settlement. The thing is, is I didn't sign
- 12:44an NDA 'cause I was just a kid. Well, my mom is no longer here.
- 12:49I want the story to be told because I think that celebrities
- 12:53should be held truly accountable for their actions.
- 12:57OK, so then a few days later, Cat responded on TikTok.
- 13:00She did acknowledge renting the property but said that she was
- 13:03not home when the fire occurred. Instead, she argued that it was
- 13:06caused by faulty electrical wiring in the basement and
- 13:08claimed that she had previously raised this concern with the
- 13:11homeowner. Tiva is accusing me of burning
- 13:15down his mother's house because I was lighting candles, which is
- 13:20not true. I wasn't even in the in the home
- 13:22when the fire happened. I was on a book tour.
- 13:26He's also accusing me of having made his mom sign an NDA to
- 13:33where she wasn't allowed to talk about a lawsuit or anything that
- 13:36happened with the fire, which is not true either.
- 13:39She also said she lost significant things in the fire,
- 13:41like clothing, computers, hard drives, photographs and her pet
- 13:44cat, Valentine. OK, so yes, this fire happened
- 13:48and there was litigation around and all of that kind of stuff,
- 13:51which obviously people can verify through records.
- 13:54And then Jeffrey Starr got himself involved.
- 13:57He just couldn't help it. So he commented on Tiva's video
- 14:02writing. I know what really happened.
- 14:05I'm so sorry your family had to go through this.
- 14:08And then Tiva responded saying can we talk in private?
- 14:10Going to DM you. And then he did make a video
- 14:13saying he wasn't sure if he wanted to talk in private with
- 14:15Jeffrey because he's like, I know that they were close.
- 14:17And I'm not sure if I actually want to know the things that he
- 14:20knows about Cat because it's going to make me more mad.
- 14:22I watched Cat von D's. Video thing is cat.
- 14:25Was not expecting my mom to have set me up.
- 14:27With her. Own e-mail login right before
- 14:31her passing so I have everything correspondence between attorneys
- 14:35insurance demands. Preparations for.
- 14:36Court, if it came to that. And most importantly, the fire
- 14:39reports. Start with the first candle.
- 14:41Fire that. Kat Von D had in the house was
- 14:43she also tried to conceal I'm going to.
- 14:44Read from my laptop but I will put the screenshot on the screen
- 14:48as well. She goes on to say that it
- 14:51wasn't a very big deal and she's respecting my mom's no smoking
- 14:55rules. The neighbors called the fire
- 14:57department after a candle set off the smoke alarm, claiming
- 15:00there wasn't a real fire. It was no big deal.
- 15:04Well, there's an instrument report for that too.
- 15:06There were multiple investigators, both sent from
- 15:09the insurance. Companies as well as private
- 15:11forensic arson, they all had the same findings.
- 15:15Kat Von D. Goes on to make my mom out to
- 15:18sound as though she was a petty landlord and.
- 15:21She makes me. Sound like I'm a money.
- 15:23Hungry son who's? Looking to make money off of
- 15:26this situation. I'm not making a dollar off of
- 15:29this. Kat Von.
- 15:31DI will never be able to prove what you were doing behind the
- 15:34walls of my childhood home. But what I do know is that you
- 15:38claim to be a Christian. It does not seem like a very
- 15:44faithful thing to tell a lie about a situation that you
- 15:48played a very large role in and gaslight the family and speak
- 15:53false things about a situation that involved a woman who is no
- 15:57longer here to defend herself. So if you guys have no idea
- 16:00what's going on here, Kat Von D and Jeffrey Star had this highly
- 16:04publicized falling out in 2016, which ended their very longtime
- 16:10friendship. Like they were besties.
- 16:12Besties. So this began when Kat Von D
- 16:14publicly announced that she was disassociating herself from
- 16:17Jeffree Star, citing his promotion of drug use, racism,
- 16:20and bullying. In a following YouTube video,
- 16:23Kat accused Jeffree Star of failing to pay a graphic
- 16:26designer friend of hers who worked on his Makeups brand logo
- 16:29as well. And then Jeffrey Star responded
- 16:31to this in a lengthy Twitter rant and a 30 minute video
- 16:34response in which he denied the allegations, claimed that the
- 16:37graphic designer had been paid, and he accused Kavan D of
- 16:41basically being a bad friend to him and hypocritical.
- 16:44Anyways, like I said, both of these people suck and Jeffrey
- 16:48just having to slither his way into this entire thing is so
- 16:52freaking classic from him. I can't.
- 16:56Anyways guys, that's it for Mini Scroll today.
- 16:58Thank you so much for listening. I love you guys.
- 17:01Please remember to rate, review and subscribe.
- 17:03Please Spotify star rate US. It helps us so much.
- 17:05It helps us grow. Annabelle will talk to you guys
- 17:07tomorrow for Mini tech Scroll and I will talk to you on
- 17:10Thursday. Bye.
