- 0:00SPEAKER_01: Oh, I thought of you last night.
- 0:02SPEAKER_01: Yeah, why not?
- 0:03SPEAKER_01: Oh my gosh.
- 0:04SPEAKER_01: So not to start real heavy.
- 0:06SPEAKER_01: Hi.
- 0:07SPEAKER_01: Okay, then now we'll start heavy.
- 0:09SPEAKER_00: Uh-huh.
- 0:09SPEAKER_01: So I'm watching the nightly news last night.
- 0:11SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 0:12SPEAKER_01: NBC got a hold out of their Boston affiliate, three of the jurors from L the Lindsay C uh Clancy uh case.
- 0:19SPEAKER_01: Case.
- 0:19SPEAKER_01: Yep.
- 0:20SPEAKER_01: Thank you.
- 0:21SPEAKER_00: Oh, it's good to get that out.
- 0:22SPEAKER_00: Oh.
- 0:25SPEAKER_00: And did you actually see their faces?
- 0:27SPEAKER_01: Yeah, oh yeah.
- 0:27SPEAKER_01: They were they were right there.
- 0:29SPEAKER_01: So now let me tell you the wild twist to this.
- 0:32SPEAKER_01: What?
- 0:32SPEAKER_01: The juror that was the one holdout from it being an acquittal was a guy.
- 0:38SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 0:39SPEAKER_01: And he went on to say, he goes, But that one was there talking?
- 0:43SPEAKER_01: No, no, no.
- 0:44SPEAKER_01: No.
- 0:44SPEAKER_01: Oh, okay.
- 0:44SPEAKER_01: They they said that the it got so intense during the deliberations in the juror's room.
- 0:51SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 0:52SPEAKER_01: That other jury rooms could hear this room yelling at each other.
- 0:55SPEAKER_01: They were screaming at each other.
- 0:56SPEAKER_01: Oh, I believe that.
- 0:57SPEAKER_01: And this went on.
- 0:58SPEAKER_01: So it turns out the whole reason that thing was a mistrial and not an acqua I'm not kidding, it was gonna be an acquittal, people.
- 1:05SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:05SPEAKER_01: Except for one guy that held out and he goes, Well, I'm not saying she didn't have a psychotic episode, but I'm also not saying she's not guilty for killing her kids.
- 1:15SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I can totally believe it.
- 1:18SPEAKER_00: I can totally believe it.
- 1:19SPEAKER_00: I had a bonfire the other night.
- 1:21SPEAKER_00: So first we started on all the Netflix documentaries.
- 1:25SPEAKER_00: It went from the one Maternal Instinct, which is an excellent documentary, has nothing to do with Lindsay Clancy.
- 1:32SPEAKER_00: It has to do with a woman who would pretty much do anything to have a baby.
- 1:36SPEAKER_00: And then it went into us talking about the death of a pastor's wife, which is a woman named Micah Miller, and everything was fine.
- 1:45SPEAKER_00: And then stupid me.
- 1:47SPEAKER_00: I'm like, and what about that Lindsay Clancy case?
- 1:50SPEAKER_01: Oh, here we go.
- 1:51SPEAKER_00: All of a sudden, tensions got very heated at a bonfire, and it wasn't just us cooking some RC.
- 1:58SPEAKER_01: It wasn't the fire.
- 2:00SPEAKER_00: No, it was to the point where I, you know, I I can see both sides.
- 2:05SPEAKER_00: I'm just gonna be honest.
- 2:06SPEAKER_00: I can see both sides.
- 2:07SPEAKER_00: And I just got up and walked away.
- 2:12SPEAKER_01: You're like, well, started that mess.
- 2:14SPEAKER_00: I thought I spilled my coffee.
- 2:15SPEAKER_00: Woo! I did start that mess.
- 2:17SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 2:18SPEAKER_00: And and and and I just couldn't, I couldn't deal with it anymore because I knew and one of my girlfriends left the bonfire.
- 2:25SPEAKER_00: I'm pretty sure she left because it's not that people were against her, but because it just got so heated.
- 2:30SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 2:31SPEAKER_00: And I I think she feel like she felt like she wasn't being heard, and that wasn't the case.
- 2:36SPEAKER_00: It was just everyone had their own opinion to say.
- 2:39SPEAKER_00: Oh, sure.
- 2:40SPEAKER_00: Oh, oh, and but I think she f I think she felt like the minority, but you know, Zach and I we both said, Well, we can see both sides.
- 2:47SPEAKER_00: We're pretty great people.
- 2:49SPEAKER_00: So I'm not I'm not saying you're wrong, and I'm not saying you're wrong.
- 2:53SPEAKER_00: But then the other two were pretty passionate as well.
- 2:56SPEAKER_00: So I think she felt like it was two against one.
- 2:59SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I think I and then here's Zach and I just like looking back and forth, back and forth.
- 3:03SPEAKER_01: He's looking at you going, What did you do?
- 3:05SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 3:05SPEAKER_00: What did you do?
- 3:06SPEAKER_01: No, it was really interesting though, because hearing those details, I was like, Wow.
- 3:10SPEAKER_01: And they they they these three jurors did not hold back at all.
- 3:14SPEAKER_00: I'm a little surprised.
- 3:14SPEAKER_00: I figured they would hold out for money to tell their story.
- 3:18SPEAKER_00: Oh, I wonder.
- 3:19SPEAKER_01: I wonder if more's coming.
- 3:20SPEAKER_01: I wonder if maybe already Netflix has gotten in touch with them or somebody.
- 3:23SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 3:24SPEAKER_00: Yeah, because I figured that was the thing was that they would hold out for like a Netflix thing or even just some sort of like 60 minutes expose and they're gonna get paid uh.
- 3:34SPEAKER_01: It was actually it was the Boston uh NBC affiliate that found the jurors, talked to them, and then shared it up the ladder to the nightly news, where obviously I saw it last night.
- 3:44SPEAKER_01: And mind you, I don't want to open the can of worms like you did at a bonfire and create this, you know, let's have a discussion about it now.
- 3:51SPEAKER_01: I was just pointing out, I saw this last night on the news, and I'm like, oh, I can't wait to tell you these details.
- 3:58SPEAKER_00: Well, what was funny too, the bonfire started around like 6:30 is when everyone came over for 7.05.
- 4:05SPEAKER_00: It was 9:41 that everyone was like, okay, we're leaving.
- 4:10SPEAKER_00: I was like, shoot.
- 4:11SPEAKER_00: So, I mean, there were a couple people that stayed, but for the most part, the ones who got in the heated discussion both left.
- 4:17SPEAKER_00: I mean, I know that one of them had to work the next day, but I wasn't the reason they left.
- 4:22SPEAKER_00: I was I wasn't really feeling good about my decision.
- 4:26SPEAKER_01: Well, all right.
- 4:27SPEAKER_01: Well, then let me help you with this.
- 4:28SPEAKER_01: Betty just summed it up.
- 4:30SPEAKER_01: Happy hump day.
- 4:31SPEAKER_00: Happy hump day, Betty.
- 4:33SPEAKER_00: And today is the start of the NFL season.
- 4:35SPEAKER_01: Yes, it is.
- 4:36SPEAKER_01: Oh, I gotta go play this for you.
- 4:37SPEAKER_01: This was so funny.
- 4:38SPEAKER_01: Uh, we this what happened yesterday, but I never got a chance to get to it.
- 4:42SPEAKER_01: Uh, you remember the Geico Camel?
- 4:45SPEAKER_01: Um, you know, uh where he would always be like, Mike, mic, mic, mic, mic, mic, mic, mike.
- 4:49SPEAKER_01: They they brought him back to promo the fact that the NFL season starts today.
- 4:53SPEAKER_01: Here, listen.
- 4:54SPEAKER_02: Mike, Mike, Mike, what day is NFL kickoff?
- 4:56SPEAKER_02: Today earlier, we know.
- 4:57SPEAKER_02: Thanks, Chris.
- 4:58SPEAKER_02: I'm asking Mike.
- 4:59SPEAKER_02: Come on, Mike.
- 5:00SPEAKER_02: Just say it.
- 5:02SPEAKER_02: Hump day.
- 5:03SPEAKER_02: Hump day!
- 5:05SPEAKER_01: Patriots, Seahawks, NFL kickoff for ABC and Peacock.
- 5:09SPEAKER_01: And let me tell you, that's a game I won't be watching.
- 5:11SPEAKER_01: I could care less about either of those teams.
- 5:12SPEAKER_00: Uh, Zach said he wanted to watch it.
- 5:14SPEAKER_00: There's a couple things.
- 5:15SPEAKER_00: There's some there's a problem with I don't particularly have any kind of like um NFL ticket.
- 5:21SPEAKER_00: So even on Saturday, college football's happening, and he's like, oh my gosh, we have this Ohio State game at 7.30, but we don't get it.
- 5:29SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, what are you gonna do?
- 5:30SPEAKER_00: Are you gonna go to a bar?
- 5:32SPEAKER_00: Are you gonna go like are you gonna go to a friend's house?
- 5:34SPEAKER_00: And he's like, I don't know.
- 5:36SPEAKER_00: I think he's gonna be dying without some sort of NFL ticket and all the because isn't it like certain games he was saying, I think Ohio State Well who's on ABC tonight?
- 5:46SPEAKER_01: Oh, uh they just said New England and uh Ohio.
- 5:49SPEAKER_01: Okay, so they're on ABC tonight.
- 5:50SPEAKER_01: New England and Seattle.
- 5:51SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 5:51SPEAKER_00: I think they're on ABC tonight, and then you have Well, the Bills are tomorrow.
- 5:57SPEAKER_01: No, they're not.
- 5:57SPEAKER_01: I'm sorry, they're Sunday.
- 5:59SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 6:00SPEAKER_00: And then and then all I know is this.
- 6:02SPEAKER_00: And then on Saturday, he wants to watch this Ohio State game, which he thinks is on Paramount Paramount, but he's like, I used to have a friend's password.
- 6:09SPEAKER_00: I wonder if I can still get in.
- 6:12SPEAKER_01: Oh, that's right, you dump Paramount.
- 6:13SPEAKER_01: I forgot.
- 6:14SPEAKER_01: I think it's a good one.
- 6:14SPEAKER_01: I never had it.
- 6:15SPEAKER_00: You didn't?
- 6:16SPEAKER_00: Oh, maybe I did it with my S.
- 6:17SPEAKER_01: I did for a minute.
- 6:18SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I did.
- 6:19SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 6:19SPEAKER_01: I had to re-get it get into that one.
- 6:21SPEAKER_01: It's pretty affordable.
- 6:22SPEAKER_00: The games are all over the place.
- 6:24SPEAKER_01: Oh, it's everywhere.
- 6:24SPEAKER_01: Everybody's getting a piece of it.
- 6:26SPEAKER_01: You've got NBC, so either if you're not getting it off broadcast, you got Peacock, you've got uh CBS, which is Paramount, you've got ABC, which is ESPN, which is yeah, and then you're forced to get them all then.
- 6:39SPEAKER_01: And then Amazon, they're I think they're still in the mix for certain games.
- 6:43SPEAKER_01: Oh, it's a mess.
- 6:44SPEAKER_00: Which I mean, we have that, that's fine.
- 6:46SPEAKER_00: But and that's a weird one.
- 6:47SPEAKER_01: That's a weird yeah, but they don't have all the great games, you know.
- 6:50SPEAKER_01: Like they they get I think they have Monday night games.
- 6:52SPEAKER_01: I'm trying to remember how that works.
- 6:54SPEAKER_01: My god, now I don't remember it all.
- 6:56SPEAKER_00: Regardless, you still have to.
- 6:57SPEAKER_00: I I was trying to cut down on our streaming.
- 7:00SPEAKER_00: Yeah, not gonna happen.
- 7:01SPEAKER_00: Right, and then football season starts, and it was well, okay, what do we have to get now to survive?
- 7:06SPEAKER_01: Get rid of Hulu.
- 7:07SPEAKER_01: I don't have Hulu.
- 7:08SPEAKER_01: Oh, I don't think there's anything on Hulu.
- 7:10SPEAKER_01: Maybe I'm wrong on that.
- 7:11SPEAKER_01: Somebody will correct me.
- 7:12SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
