- 0:01SPEAKER_01: Hi guys.
- 0:03SPEAKER_01: Thank you for anarchist and I have a very special guest with you today.
- 0:08SPEAKER_01: And I'm sure you've heard of the bl uh the brand theology research, but I have Laura Gershak here with me, who is the brand US general manager, and I'm so excited to welcome to the show, Laura.
- 0:21SPEAKER_01: Thank you so much for your time.
- 0:26SPEAKER_00: Thanks so much for having me, XM.
- 0:28SPEAKER_00: It's a pleasure to be here.
- 0:30SPEAKER_01: Um it's truly an honor hosting you, and I would love to know about your own background and your in your journey and how you know everything evolved to where you are now.
- 0:42SPEAKER_00: Sure.
- 0:42SPEAKER_00: So my professional background is kind of a mishmash.
- 0:46SPEAKER_00: Um I started my career off uh over 15 years ago working for the French government in what we call economic development and foreign direct investment work in New York City.
- 0:57SPEAKER_00: Um, from there, I bounced over to Paris where I pursued an opportunity to work in commercial real estate.
- 1:05SPEAKER_00: So I was selling large office buildings and mixed-use commercial real estate deals across France.
- 1:13SPEAKER_00: And while I was working in France, I actually was offered this opportunity to come back to the US to run the US office and the distribution here for Biologique Recherche, and that was almost eight years ago now.
- 1:28SPEAKER_00: And I happened to know the original founders of the brand, so Yvonne and Josette Dalouche, and they had put me in touch with our co-CEOs, uh Pierre-Louis Delapalme and Rupert Schmidt.
- 1:41SPEAKER_00: And that's how this adventure all got started.
- 1:44SPEAKER_01: That's amazing.
- 1:45SPEAKER_01: And I know that the brand is just it's huge, and there are so many spas and so many, you know, uh just places that utilize the product.
- 1:54SPEAKER_01: So I want to know um more about how that works in terms of like marketing strategy or like communicating with the spas and stuff.
- 2:02SPEAKER_01: So, you know, I want you to like dive deep into that for us if possible.
- 2:06SPEAKER_00: Sure.
- 2:07SPEAKER_00: So, you know, 40 years ago, the founders uh set out with this vision of creating something that really did not exist in the marketplace, which was a brand created exclusively for professional use and for aestheticians.
- 2:20SPEAKER_00: So it's a professional tool.
- 2:22SPEAKER_00: And we really have stayed through to that, true to that vision up until today.
- 2:26SPEAKER_00: And so, really, we create um hyper-customized results-driven uh methodologies, so protocols and products to treat a variety of situations and skin conditions, which we refer to as skin instance because your skin is always changing.
- 2:45SPEAKER_00: So it's really the moment you're capturing, the moment your skin is in.
- 2:49SPEAKER_00: And so our network is really our distribution, if you will, is through a network of partners, and those partners are all spas.
- 2:56SPEAKER_00: They can be medical spas, they become hotel spas, and they can be you know premier day spas.
- 3:02SPEAKER_00: And we invest heavily in education, so we are really educating and teaching our methodology uh throughout our network of partners so that they can really give that customized and results-driven um approach to the end consumer who is interfacing with Biology for Shares products.
- 3:22SPEAKER_01: I love that.
- 3:22SPEAKER_01: And I, you know, and I think that it's interesting because, you know, for me, when I first discovered the brand, I was like, well, first enamored because I know I'd heard so many great things, right?
- 3:33SPEAKER_01: But then also at the same time, I was also, you know, understanding that this is a professional product and this is something that I would rather have my expansion work with me on because I was a little scared, I'm not gonna lie, because I knew how good it was.
- 3:48SPEAKER_01: You know what I mean?
- 3:49SPEAKER_01: So it was like a good security.
- 3:50SPEAKER_01: And I and I want to ask you about that.
- 3:52SPEAKER_01: Like how um you have dealt with the consumer market and all of the, you know, have you had anybody say that before?
- 4:00SPEAKER_01: Um, you know, like give that feedback from the consumer end, or is it just me?
- 4:05SPEAKER_00: We get it all the time.
- 4:07SPEAKER_00: And we get it not from not just from the consumers, of course, but we also get it from our new spa partners when we start working with them.
- 4:14SPEAKER_00: I think really when you look at biology for search, we're we're such a we're we're really a complete system.
- 4:20SPEAKER_00: And we've got over 200 products for the face, the body, and the scalp.
- 4:24SPEAKER_00: So it's it's really very all-encompassing.
- 4:27SPEAKER_00: And because of that, um, and every single category of product has multiple options because, again, the whole focus is customization and personalization.
- 4:37SPEAKER_00: And so when you look at that, it can be a very overwhelming experience, and it is a very difficult experience to navigate yourself.
- 4:44SPEAKER_00: And our advice is that the best place to start is always with a recommendation, a prescription, if you will, from an esthetician, uh, from someone who really, you know, can prescribe the best product for you.
- 4:58SPEAKER_00: And that also you have to keep in mind that that's not a stagnant thing.
- 5:02SPEAKER_00: So you have to kind of re-evaluate every couple of months your your skincare and keep it dynamic so that you're really treating the conditions that are existing.
- 5:10SPEAKER_00: Because if you're treating the conditions that you started off with, then technically they should improve, and then you should be able to focus on on other things or at least surprise your skin and keep um keep a very dynamic approach to your regimen, if you will.
- 5:23SPEAKER_00: Um, but but I think one of the things is again, it does feel overwhelming because there is so much, it can, but that's of course our job is to really break it down.
- 5:34SPEAKER_00: And I would say the biggest piece of advice I can give to that is is not to buy what someone else is recommending.
- 5:39SPEAKER_00: You know, so if you see uh a friend, a celebrity, an influencer say that they're obsessed with the product, that's wonderful.
- 5:46SPEAKER_00: And that's probably because that product works for them, but you really have to take the time to figure out what works for you.
- 5:53SPEAKER_01: Right, right, absolutely.
- 5:55SPEAKER_01: And you know, I completely agree with you that you do have to take the time to figure out what works for you.
- 6:00SPEAKER_01: But for me, it's like, you know, the less product, the better.
- 6:04SPEAKER_01: So I want your advice in terms of you know, um, if if somebody were to use, you know, the Billy Joseph products, what are some of the the things you recommend, you know, to to really use?
- 6:16SPEAKER_01: Like is it like one or two, or is there like a multi-step regimen, or how does it work with the brand?
- 6:22SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 6:23SPEAKER_00: So our typical regimen is uh is seven steps, but that doesn't mean that that's what we recommend for everyone.
- 6:29SPEAKER_00: We really try to work with what everyone is comfortable with.
- 6:33SPEAKER_00: So if you're a three, you know, a three-item regimen, we'll try to work with that confines until you're ready to you know add in and bring in additional units, additional SKUs, or additional types of products into your reference, uh into your regimen.
- 6:48SPEAKER_00: I'm sorry.
- 6:48SPEAKER_00: So we really, you know, we have to work within that because not everyone is is, you know, willing to do either take the time or willing to do that.
- 6:55SPEAKER_00: But I think that when you start to see the results with the product that you are utilizing, that's when you start to want to delve a little bit deeper.
- 7:03SPEAKER_00: And I think there are a lot of hero products in our line and in other lines, but I think that one of the things that makes us so different is that we are really a complete system.
- 7:13SPEAKER_00: And so you don't have to go looking for additional items or additional products outside of the range because we actually know how all the products interact with each other within our scope of products, if you will.
- 7:25SPEAKER_00: And so that what that's kind of what makes it very unique.
- 7:29SPEAKER_00: Um, and so that that question is hard to answer because I think again, coming back to that personalization, it's different for everybody of what are the products that are going to help them achieve the results that they're looking to achieve.
- 7:41SPEAKER_00: I would say everything really starts with, of course, a very good cleanse, you know, good cleansers, good cleanse in general.
- 7:48SPEAKER_00: We love to recommend a double cleanse.
- 7:50SPEAKER_00: I mean, there's a lot of pollution and external aggressors, and so really having clean skin is very important.
- 7:56SPEAKER_00: But clean skin doesn't mean skin that's been stripped.
- 8:00SPEAKER_00: And there's a lot of products out there that kind of you know remove all the sebum from the skin.
- 8:04SPEAKER_00: For us, we kind of work around these milky cleansers and mistler water that really kind of hydrate the skin at the same time as cleansing it.
- 8:12SPEAKER_00: And then from their exfoliation, uh, our approach to exfoliation is very mild daily exfoliation.
- 8:20SPEAKER_00: So P50, which you were referencing, and a lot of people love and use, is a product that's um, you know, we recommend in depending on, of course, the individual, but we can recommend it up to twice a day.
- 8:32SPEAKER_00: And that's very mild and daily exfoliation.
- 8:35SPEAKER_00: So those are some of the kind of cornerstones, and then of course you build upon that.
- 8:40SPEAKER_00: Right, right.
- 8:41SPEAKER_01: No, I and I think that's very important.
- 8:42SPEAKER_01: Thank you for sharing that for our listeners because I know that people struggle with finding this perfect skincare regimen, right?
- 8:49SPEAKER_01: It's like you know, you have so many brands out there and you don't know like who should I buy the exfoliator from and who should I buy the moisturizer from.
- 8:56SPEAKER_01: So it's like it's really good to have this concise approach, you know what I mean?
- 9:00SPEAKER_01: Like kind of told to the audience.
- 9:02SPEAKER_01: So I I really appreciate that.
- 9:03SPEAKER_01: Now I want to focus on you though, um, Laura.
- 9:06SPEAKER_01: I want to know more about how, you know, how you like see the future of this brand.
- 9:11SPEAKER_01: What is your vision for the brand?
- 9:13SPEAKER_00: I think it's um I I always refer to Bieleg Recherche as like a 40-year-old startup, and I mean that in the most endearing way possible.
- 9:22SPEAKER_00: So I think you know, it's a brand that has so much energy and it's so dynamic.
- 9:26SPEAKER_00: You know, we own our, we we manufacture all our products in our own laboratories.
- 9:31SPEAKER_00: And I think what what the RD team is doing consistently is creating these iconic products that are just amazing.
- 9:38SPEAKER_00: And I think it speaks uh, you know, volumes that a lot of the newer developed products are some of the best, um, most adopted products, if you will.
- 9:48SPEAKER_00: A lot of brands have these kind of old products that that remain sort of their core, and we we keep you know innovating, and we're always just dynamically looking at you know ingredients that we can use to improve what we're um what are the benefits in all of the products.
- 10:05SPEAKER_00: So we're just very, very dynamically looking at everything.
- 10:08SPEAKER_00: And I think the future of the brand, I mean, when you look at you know, my market, which is the United States, there's still so many places that we can develop to.
- 10:15SPEAKER_00: Our our ambition is to bring VR closer to you know all of our users, all of our consumers.
- 10:21SPEAKER_00: And so we still have a ways to go in that, even though you know we've been gaining so much momentum over the last couple of years.
- 10:28SPEAKER_00: And I think we're just again very very true to our strategy.
- 10:31SPEAKER_00: I think maybe what helps us is we were a very avant-garde brand from the beginning with the hyper customization, with the purity of our formulations, with the concentrations of active ingredients that we use, the fact that we had no perfumes, the fact that we were cold formulated.
- 10:50SPEAKER_00: And so I think that you know that was that was kind of ahead of its time, and that's what we're looking at right now.
- 10:55SPEAKER_00: So it makes us still very current, if you will.
- 10:58SPEAKER_00: So I think you know, we're doing great things um by sticking true to our to our ethos, if you will.
- 11:05SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 11:06SPEAKER_01: No, I I love that.
- 11:07SPEAKER_01: I mean, the thing is, I had interviewed Ida Bacaj um up to seasons back, and then we were talking about you know, for example, like 550 years of just her whole you know, the whole journey with how to treat these people to get it.
- 11:21SPEAKER_01: And it made me wonder because I'm like, you know, this brand is still ahead of a good time if it's uh you know evolved in the way that you know people are not doing what you guys are doing.
- 11:31SPEAKER_01: You know, there's there's just no competition, I think, in the market for this.
- 11:34SPEAKER_01: And um, you know, that's why I asked you that which is reasonable, because it's you know if if it's not broken, don't fix it, right?
- 11:41SPEAKER_01: That kind of thing is you know, I that's why I'm curious with you know, in terms of going forward, like you know, with the packaging and with all the things that are coming out now in the second career industry, for example, you know, accessibility and sustainability and all these buzzwords, right?
- 12:01SPEAKER_01: How are how are some of those things being incorporated into your brand?
- 12:04SPEAKER_01: Are are those things um you know really at the center of any of your focus right now?
- 12:10SPEAKER_00: Oh, absolutely.
- 12:11SPEAKER_00: I mean, you know, I think it you have to kind of evolve with the times, and and we've made a lot of efforts.
- 12:17SPEAKER_00: I actually think we're probably the first and perhaps still the only skincare brand that adheres to the UN Global Compact Initiative.
- 12:25SPEAKER_00: We publish a corporate social responsibility report every year, a CSR report.
- 12:31SPEAKER_00: You know, we really are um, I mean, we're a wellness brand.
- 12:35SPEAKER_00: Um, and so everything that we do navigates around wellness, and there's a lot of aspects to that, including, of course, um sustainability, which is really, really important to us.
- 12:44SPEAKER_00: And so I think that, you know, like I said, we we are very true to our core and true to our mission and our initial mission, but that doesn't mean that we can't evolve with the times.
- 12:53SPEAKER_00: I mean, when I came on board nearly eight years ago now, you know, social media wasn't around.
- 12:58SPEAKER_00: We had to navigate that and what we wanted our social media to reflect and what that platform was going to be utilized for.
- 13:05SPEAKER_00: And so you have to kind of keep growing and keep evolving.
- 13:08SPEAKER_00: So, of course, you know, um, sustainability and and corporate social responsibility are very meaningful to us.
- 13:15SPEAKER_00: We have a dedicated team internally that looks at that, and whatever we roll out, we actually try to roll out across our entire network of you know, 70 plus countries that we're in.
- 13:25SPEAKER_00: We're a very global brand.
- 13:26SPEAKER_00: And so it's it's not always easy to have these large global initiatives, but they're definitely driving and they're they're they're motivating a lot of our thought process.
- 13:34SPEAKER_01: I love that.
- 13:35SPEAKER_01: I really love that.
- 13:36SPEAKER_01: And I, you know, I know it can be very difficult from you know the end of like founders because I think the skincare industry keeps coming up with new things that we need to be aware of.
- 13:46SPEAKER_01: Like, for example, you know, like inclusivity and diversity, I understand.
- 13:50SPEAKER_01: And you know, sustainability, I understand.
- 13:52SPEAKER_01: But like there are so many how you know, there's just so many new things that keep popping up.
- 13:56SPEAKER_01: And I always wonder how older brands that are really established and really, really, you know, great in the market how to keep up with that.
- 14:03SPEAKER_01: So thank you for answering that.
- 14:05SPEAKER_01: Um I wanna I want to ask you, Laura, um, what's next for Biologique?
- 14:09SPEAKER_01: I mean, is there something coming up that you can give us a sneak peek about or um anything cool happening in the next few months?
- 14:17SPEAKER_00: Well, I think that's what makes it amazing.
- 14:18SPEAKER_00: I mean, I've never been bored in the last eight years.
- 14:21SPEAKER_00: I keep thinking things are gonna quiet down and then they never do.
- 14:24SPEAKER_00: And, you know, for us, it's it's it's always gonna be about the research and development, you know, kind of the heart and soul that we pour into developing these new products.
- 14:32SPEAKER_00: So there's always exciting things in the pipeline.
- 14:35SPEAKER_00: We have a really rich pipeline of new products coming out.
- 14:38SPEAKER_00: I can't share details, but if you kind of look at our history, I don't know if you're aware, we recently launched a DNA kit that looks at different um markers for aging and cellulite and all these different things.
- 14:50SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's really incredible.
- 14:51SPEAKER_00: So, again, everything kind of coming back to knowing your skin as best as possible, and that kind of complements the two different um additional uh machines that we have, equipment that we have to diagnose the skin.
- 15:03SPEAKER_00: We really believe that's a starting point for the best results is the proper diagnosis of your skin.
- 15:08SPEAKER_00: You'd be amazed how many people, you know, were had really severe acne in their youth, and then 20-something years later they're still treating their skin as if they're an acne of use, and and that's just kind of when you set them on the right path, um, it just makes a huge difference.
- 15:23SPEAKER_00: So I think a lot of new development, a lot of really exciting product development that we have, both for the back bar, meaning in the treatment room, as well as for retail, and that really gets me very excited.
- 15:33SPEAKER_00: Um and then, you know, the future of VR, I think it's it's just very bright.
- 15:37SPEAKER_00: I mean, we we've weathered, you know, the pandemic in an amazing way.
- 15:41SPEAKER_00: And I think skincare has become very uh prevalent during the pandemic as kind of a means of self-care and self-love and taking a moment for yourself and marking, if you will, you know, the difference between your work day and maybe the end of day or the start of your day that's become very important.
- 15:57SPEAKER_00: We've seen some categories surprisingly do better than they used to, like our body care and our scalp care.
- 16:04SPEAKER_00: Those have picked up tremendously.
- 16:05SPEAKER_00: I think people are investing in different um, you know, not just their faces anymore, I would say maybe taking a little bit more time for themselves.
- 16:12SPEAKER_00: And so there's, I think there's, you know, a lot of really exciting um new partners that we're growing with.
- 16:18SPEAKER_00: A lot of our product our partners themselves are growing and they're kind of opening up in different locations.
- 16:24SPEAKER_00: So I think that's what really you know motivates us and drives us is there's there's always there's always something around the corner.
- 16:30SPEAKER_00: We're always working on exciting things.
- 16:33SPEAKER_01: I love that.
- 16:34SPEAKER_01: I really love that.
- 16:34SPEAKER_01: And I'm I'm so excited to see what's coming next.
- 16:37SPEAKER_01: The DNA kit really got my my attention, though.
- 16:40SPEAKER_01: I'm not gonna lie, that's really cool.
- 16:42SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's amazing.
- 16:43SPEAKER_00: I mean, again, you know, we're we're really trying to integrate whatever technology, you know, as science kind of uh makes makes strides.
- 16:51SPEAKER_00: We integrate that to kind of you know learn how to know your skin.
- 16:54SPEAKER_00: And again, everything is really centered around the professional for us, so that that kit is available through a selection of our network partners or spa partners.
- 17:02SPEAKER_00: And then the idea is when you get your diagnostic back, which is entirely confidential and it's all yours, that you can bring that into the spa, and then they can help understand things that maybe you're predisposed to.
- 17:15SPEAKER_00: It gives you a new way of looking at your skin.
- 17:17SPEAKER_00: Um, and maybe you know, treating something that you didn't really know could could be a predisposition in the future.
- 17:23SPEAKER_01: I love that.
- 17:24SPEAKER_01: I really love that.
- 17:25SPEAKER_01: It's like a genetic approach to really something that should be approached genetically.
- 17:29SPEAKER_01: I mean, the skin is our largest organ, as we know, you know, and and I I really love that.
- 17:34SPEAKER_01: I I think it's brilliant.
- 17:35SPEAKER_01: Um, now I have a question for you.
- 17:37SPEAKER_01: What do you think about all these technologies that are like um 3D imaging of the face?
- 17:42SPEAKER_01: You know what I mean?
- 17:43SPEAKER_01: Like they they're like looking at everyone's face.
- 17:45SPEAKER_01: What do you think about those?
- 17:46SPEAKER_01: Like, is that something you guys are interested in too?
- 17:48SPEAKER_01: Or well, we actually already have one.
- 17:51SPEAKER_00: It's called the Visio Lab.
- 17:52SPEAKER_00: Um it actually comes.
- 17:55SPEAKER_00: I mean, why not?
- 17:56SPEAKER_00: You know, you have to look at you have to look at it in all of these different approaches.
- 18:00SPEAKER_00: Now, for us, the approach is a little particular.
- 18:02SPEAKER_00: We actually have one um one piece of equipment that's called the skin instant lab.
- 18:07SPEAKER_00: And I think that that's really where everything starts for us and it measures different um aspects of the skin.
- 18:12SPEAKER_00: It looks like hydration, elasticity, it looks at sebum, it looks at pigmentation, and it then basically diagnoses um the skin and also makes product and treatment recommendation on the basis.
- 18:24SPEAKER_00: I think that's kind of the core of where we start with our diagnostics, and then the Visio comes in to complement that because the Visio is going to have a little bit more of a, I don't want to say superficial, but a look at like, you know, UVs, damage and pigmentation, a look at like, you know, fine lines and wrinkles, look at pore sizes and concentrations of pores and things like that.
- 18:46SPEAKER_00: All of these tools are, I would say, you know, when you pair them together, um, and they they kind of come together and they make sense.
- 18:53SPEAKER_00: I think that you you you have to look at a global picture and not necessarily focus on just like you know, one type of diagnostic, which is I think why why it's so such a rich offering with Biologique Recherche is that you have, you know, these three different approaches to diagnosing the skin.
- 19:10SPEAKER_00: And when you complete them, when you do all of them, it really paints a very thorough picture, at least as thorough as we can get with Tate's technology.
- 19:17SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 19:18SPEAKER_01: No, I love that.
- 19:19SPEAKER_01: I really love that.
- 19:20SPEAKER_01: And I feel like, you know, when I when I think about Biologique, I think of the best skincare, right?
- 19:26SPEAKER_01: Like I think of that, and I and I love that you guys have all the scientific technology backing you.
- 19:31SPEAKER_01: I mean, this is really the missing piece, you know, they really was because it's such a beautiful brand.
- 19:36SPEAKER_01: It's an older brand, but it's like yeah, wow, you know, hats off.
- 19:40SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but it's a brand that's yeah, it's a brand that it's a living, breathing, you know, brand that evolves over time.
- 19:48SPEAKER_00: And I think that that's what that's what makes it so I I mean that that's what makes all brands incredible.
- 19:53SPEAKER_00: It's you have to, you have to, you have to evolve, you have to grow.
- 19:57SPEAKER_01: Absolutely, Laura.
- 19:58SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and I want to ask you actually, this is a very um random question, but just to have a conversation around it, um, you know, I know that there are a lot of um, you know, there's a lot of interest in conflict files these days, right?
- 20:09SPEAKER_01: There's a lot of interest in um, you know, a lot of the science part and how academia and academic research fits into skin health and skin care.
- 20:18SPEAKER_01: Um now one thing I know about BelieveX products is that no one knew how they were working, but they were working beautifully.
- 20:26SPEAKER_01: You know what I mean?
- 20:27SPEAKER_01: Like it was something that was ahead of its time, it was you know scientifically ahead of its time.
- 20:32SPEAKER_01: So when it comes to that, like clinical trials or anything like that, how do you fill those gaps for the consumers out there?
- 20:38SPEAKER_01: You know, just uh because I just I already know the products work, you know, that's my thing as a consumer.
- 20:44SPEAKER_01: I know they work, and so the science part I'm interested, but it's like it's not gonna make or break it for me at all, you know.
- 20:49SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so so I think what what people don't realize is we actually we we have all of that information.
- 20:56SPEAKER_00: We have all the science.
- 20:57SPEAKER_00: Every time we launch a product, we actually do panel testing on on you know on groups of of individuals who volunteer for the for the testing and the trial of the products, and we kind of look at their appreciation of the products.
- 21:10SPEAKER_00: And then in certain products, like for example, when we launched Le Grande Cam, which worked on epigenetics and skincare, we actually even did epigenetic trials to kind of see how how that impacted on the more of the cellular level.
- 21:22SPEAKER_00: Um, the reality is, of course, we do sometimes get questions about you know all of the science, but and we share that information with our network of professionals.
- 21:29SPEAKER_00: So they they have that information.
- 21:31SPEAKER_00: They they are very exclusive, like very well trained to understand kind of you know what the products do.
- 21:37SPEAKER_00: But a lot of the times the consumers, it's it's a lot.
- 21:40SPEAKER_00: It's a lot of science, it's a lot of information.
- 21:42SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I mean, if you say if you say the word epigenetics, I mean I know that I did my um you know undergrad thesis on it, but it's like the normal consumer doesn't know epigenetics, but it's so important.
- 21:52SPEAKER_01: And I and I wonder that because you know, how do we really like how much you know my question is how much science do we need?
- 22:00SPEAKER_01: Because at one point there's gonna be a problem with translating that to the consumers.
- 22:05SPEAKER_01: You know what I'm saying?
- 22:06SPEAKER_01: Absolutely.
- 22:07SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 22:07SPEAKER_00: Yeah, absolutely.
- 22:08SPEAKER_00: I think, and that's exactly right.
- 22:09SPEAKER_00: I think you you kind of hit the nail on the head.
- 22:11SPEAKER_00: It's we we have all that information.
- 22:13SPEAKER_00: Now, do we do we market it?
- 22:15SPEAKER_00: Do we share it broadly?
- 22:16SPEAKER_00: Not not always.
- 22:17SPEAKER_00: We definitely do to our professionals because, of course, you know, they come from the skincare backgrounds, they're they're licensed substitutions, they're very hungry and thirsty for all that knowledge.
- 22:27SPEAKER_00: The consumer, I think, some of them are very hungry and thirsty for knowledge.
- 22:31SPEAKER_00: I think I'm all my concern is always misinformation, disinformation that's available out there.
- 22:36SPEAKER_00: It's very hard to weed out the right from the you know, the wrong, or at least in my book.
- 22:43SPEAKER_00: But but the but the science is definitely there.
- 22:46SPEAKER_00: We we were founded by a medical doctor and a physiotherapist, and we have a very clinical approach to skincare.
- 22:52SPEAKER_00: And I think that's why we are so sought after in medical environments.
- 22:56SPEAKER_00: That's why, you know, as a brand, we are always making strides to work with as many people as possible.
- 23:01SPEAKER_00: We launched a program a few years ago.
- 23:03SPEAKER_00: It was a collaboration with a company, it's actually a nonprofit called Wellness for Cancer.
- 23:07SPEAKER_00: And we adapted all of our methodologies and all of our treatment protocols to be able to care for people touched by cancer.
- 23:15SPEAKER_00: That was a very meaningful initiative for us.
- 23:18SPEAKER_00: And I think, you know, again, that that kind of comes back to just not just the wellness aspect of it, but of course the clinical approach to our to our um our skincare brand.
- 23:27SPEAKER_01: I love that.
- 23:28SPEAKER_01: Wow, you know, this is such a pleasure talking to you because it's very rare that I find, you know, like brands that are really doing the heavy research.
- 23:38SPEAKER_01: You know what I mean?
- 23:39SPEAKER_01: Like the really heavy stuff.
- 23:40SPEAKER_01: And this is so cool.
- 23:41SPEAKER_01: And I think, you know, you guys are doing it just perfectly.
- 23:45SPEAKER_01: I mean, epigenetics, when you mentioned epigenetics, I was like immediately like, okay, yeah.
- 23:50SPEAKER_01: They know what they're doing, you know.
- 23:51SPEAKER_01: They really and everyone listening out there, you know, if you're somebody who has not tried Village, I mean, this is something you have to try.
- 23:58SPEAKER_01: Go see an aesthetician who carries it in their in their spa and get a real, you know, understanding of your skin.
- 24:05SPEAKER_01: I mean, this is really what this brand in my mind stands for is a true understanding of our skin health.
- 24:10SPEAKER_01: And, you know, I can't thank you enough, Laura.
