  an interesting perspective that I have when observing non
• 2:39
  believers, atheists, the godless.

  My wife and I, we like to watch this show called The Big Bang
• 2:47
  Theory and we also enjoy Young Sheldon.
• 2:51
  And we're getting ready to actually start watching episodes
• 2:55
  about his brother Georgie and wife that he married at a very
• 3:01
  young age called Mandy. And one of the things about
• 3:05
  Sheldon is interesting about the TV show is that he goes from a
• 3:10
  little boy to getting around 15 years old.
• 3:15
  And then he ends up going off to Caltech college.
• 3:18
  And obviously young Sheldon's a prequel to The Big Bang Theory.

  Sheldon has, I don't know if it's autism or whatever it is
• 3:29
  that he's got, but what happens is, is that he's able to.
• 3:33
  He's got a photographic memory where he can remember everything
• 3:37
  that he reads, everything that he sees, every experience that
• 3:40
  he has, he's able to account for.
• 3:43
  Even whenever he was born, the show implies that he knew what
• 3:48
  was going on whenever he was still in the womb and whenever
• 3:51
  he came out. Well, Sheldon at a very young
• 3:55
  age decides that he's an atheist and that science is the only
• 3:59
  thing that he's going to pay attention to.

  His mother's heavily religious named Mary, ironically, and he
• 4:08
  makes fun of his mother whenever she prays and whenever she goes
• 4:11
  to church. He goes with her from time to
• 4:14
  time because he's a child and somebody's got to go with her.
• 4:19
  You know, she can't just leave him at home and all that because
• 4:22
  he's a kid. Even though he's pretty smart,
• 4:24
  he he has a tendency to blow things and destroy a lot of
• 4:30
  things if he's left alone by himself because he's constantly
• 4:33
  experimenting and trying to do new things.
• 4:37
  Well, later on in the show, Sheldon ends up becoming wanting
• 4:41
  to become a physicist where he's getting them the string theory
• 4:46
  and dimensions of the universe and all this kind of thing.
• 4:50
  And he rags on his mother constantly, even rags on the
• 4:54
  preacher and will publicly question some of the claims of
• 4:59
  the Bible while he's at church with his mother.

  Now I'm tickled to death at that.

  I wish more people, whether you're a non believer or
• 5:08
  religious person, if you're at church and you hear something
• 5:11
  that doesn't make sense to you or sounds unusual, I encourage
• 5:15
  people that they should question you should even if you think
• 5:19
  it'll offend people. As long as you're asking the
• 5:22
  question not in what the means of hurting someone's feelings or
• 5:27
  upsetting someone, but because you're actually naturally
• 5:31
  wanting to learn and understand where the other person's coming
• 5:34
  from. I mean if you're a good person,
• 5:37
  that would be your mentality. If you're not a good person and
• 5:40
  you're just asking questions that you already think that you
• 5:44
  know, then you're nothing but a narcissistic bastard who feels
• 5:48
  good by emotionally hurting other people and abuse abusive
• 5:53
  type of person who gets off on it.
• 5:56
  But Sheldon is not an abusive person, although he can come off
• 6:01
  very offensive and he can say some things that are really,
• 6:05
  really nasty. I mean, me and my wife, we've
• 6:07
  been floored a few times by some of the the stuff that just flies
• 6:12
  out of his mouth sometimes. But he doesn't mean to harm
• 6:15
  anyone. In fact, he's a very vulnerable,
• 6:19
  very innocent type of person who wants to do his work because he
• 6:25
  actually thinks it'll be positive and beneficial for
• 6:29
  humanity. He uses science to do good.
• 6:33
  He doesn't have any desires to hurt people or cause problems
• 6:37
  and all that. Although he is a bit of a there
• 6:40
  is some narcissism there as he grows where he likes the idea of
• 6:45
  people patting him on the back and telling him how smart he is.
• 6:48
  Unfortunately for Sheldon, it seems like because he's a child
• 6:54
  who's so smart, he's a prodigy. Even his teachers don't know
• 6:58
  what to do with him because he's so smart.

  It's like he's got the book Smart, but he doesn't know how
• 7:05
  to read A room. He doesn't understand human
• 7:10
  emotions or reactions to the kind of things that he says.
• 7:14
  As I said, he doesn't deliberately go out of his way,
• 7:17
  he just doesn't understand human cues, if that makes sense.
• 7:24
  Well, there's some interesting things where he argues with the
• 7:26
  preacher and the preacher's an absolute idiot in the show,
• 7:31
  represented as a complete dumb. Dumb nice guy, but still dumb.

  But sometimes Breacher every once in a while says something
• 7:39
  that's pretty clever. Sheldon gets armed to him and
• 7:42
  says something to the effect of why you believe in an Invisible
• 7:46
  Man in the sky. There is no such thing, you
• 7:50
  know. He proudly exclaims that he's an
• 7:52
  atheist, but the preacher says, can you show us any evidence
• 7:57
  that string theory is actually real, tangible, that we could
• 8:01
  touch? Sheldon obviously can't do that.
• 8:05
  The only way Sheldon is able to produce any kind of information
• 8:10
  is what he's been told and what he's been reading himself.
• 8:14
  See, the point is, Sheldon didn't come up with all these
• 8:17
  numbers, the math, the equations, or any of the
• 8:22
  information he's got. He's like a robot.
• 8:25
  He just simply absorbs what he's been told, just like the
• 8:29
  Christians who absorb what they've been told.
• 8:32
  The Christians, they read the Bible, they hear what they're
• 8:34
  being told by a preacher, and they also, from their
• 8:39
  experiences and personal experiences, hold to the faith
• 8:43
  of God. While atheists aren't different,
• 8:47
  whenever they claim they believe in The Big Bang Theory that it
• 8:51
  happened, even if they're absolutely convinced it
• 8:54
  happened, there's no way to go back billions of years into the
• 8:59
  universe and actually observed the origin of the universe.
• 9:04
  And you can't go a billion years forward and then observe how the
• 9:09
  Earth came into existence, nor can you see the origin of life
• 9:16
  itself. You can't also see the origin of
• 9:21
  evolution through abiogenesis. You can't see the
• 9:25
  transformations. Even Richard Dawkins himself
• 9:28
  says that the changes happen so minute and so small over time.
• 9:35
  It would be billions of years before you notice anything
• 9:39
  really impactful or different about transitions and such.
• 9:43
  And this is something that Christians have tried for the
• 9:47
  longest time to explain to non believers.
• 9:49
  And then they either act foolish, like they don't know
• 9:53
  what they're talking about, or maybe like Sheldon, they really
• 9:57
  don't get it. They don't understand it.

  And what that tells me is that like Sheldon, atheism is not
• 10:06
  only like a religion, but it's completely lacking in
• 10:10
  self-awareness. That and non believers just
• 10:13
  don't realize that they're in the same boat with everybody
• 10:16
  else when they claim that the universe was nothing.

  They don't know that there's no way to go back and see that.
• 10:24
  There's no way to go anywhere to ever see where things were just
• 10:28
  simply nothing and then became something they can't.

  So that's a faith-based assertion.

  Anything that you say about the universe and what it may have
• 10:39
  happened in the past, even if you tried to imply that you
• 10:44
  understand things that went on in human history while humans
• 10:48
  actually existed, if you weren't there, then you're not getting
• 10:52
  the full story. You don't know what exactly is
• 10:56
  happening. You might know of some things
• 10:58
  that are recorded, but even then you have to question yourself,
• 11:02
  why would I believe this person from 500 years ago who wrote
• 11:06
  this down? How do I know they didn't have
• 11:08
  an agenda? We've seen in modern time that
• 11:12
  scientist, although we respect them and we see them as an
• 11:16
  authority figure, it's not like scientists never lied.
• 11:21
  It's not like a scientist or big pharma, even those who are in
• 11:26
  control of our food as well as our health haven't lied and said
• 11:31
  things that are completely wrong.
• 11:35
  I can list off thousands of things, especially something
• 11:40
  that majorly happened to us in the last decade that has caused
• 11:44
  a lot of people to lose their trust and their glory.
• 11:48
  Image of science because of what scientists have done, what they
• 11:53
  propagated to humanity. And many, many people suffered
• 11:58
  the consequences. Many people died.
• 12:02
  And that's what happens. And believe it or not, science
• 12:06
  is very important, ladies and gentlemen.
• 12:08
  And if you lie to people, especially when it comes to
• 12:12
  health or whatever it is that you stick into your body,
• 12:17
  whether it be food, whether it be food or medicine, this can be
• 12:21
  a serious problem. So yeah, let me turn down my mic
• 12:26
  a little bit. It looks like it's having some
• 12:28
  issue there. I'm going to bring it down to
• 12:31
  about 5 DB because we are seeing some jumps there.
• 12:38
  And then I'm going to lock the volume.

  There we go. We shouldn't have any more

  problems at this point. And of course, let's not forget
• 12:46
  that there's plenty of religious people that lied to us.
• 12:49
  So knowing that, knowing that our government lies to us,
• 12:53
  knowing that scientists will lie to us and fudge the facts and
• 12:57
  order to win awards and get paid extra or see their face on front
• 13:02
  of the magazine, we have to ask ourselves, what do we know?
• 13:10
  We know that religion has lied. We know politics has lied.
• 13:13
  We know government lies to who can we trust?
• 13:17
  And that's where it comes down to it for a lot of religious
• 13:20
  people. Believe it or not, a lot of
• 13:22
  religious people are in the same boat as atheists where they
• 13:25
  question and say to themselves, why should I?
• 13:28
  You know, why should I believe in God?
• 13:31
  Well, if there truly is a God in this God claims to be all
• 13:36
  powerful, all knowing, omniscient, all the omnis and
• 13:41
  cool abilities created space-time in the universe and
• 13:45
  all matter in it. Then one can say to themselves,
• 13:50
  this is really the only thing I can believe in.
• 13:53
  That's the only thing I can have faith in that makes any sense
• 13:57
  because in the current society that we live in right now and
• 14:01
  the society we've lived in since the existence of humanity, we
• 14:06
  haven't been able to trust nobody.
• 14:08
  We can't even trust their own parents sometimes because
• 14:11
  they'll lie to us thinking that they're doing us, doing the
• 14:14
  right thing for us to have some kind of justification or excuse
• 14:17
  or defense for why they feel like they got to bend the truth.
• 14:23
  So if you think about it, when it comes down to it, the only
• 14:26
  thing we can truly trust is a God that is beyond our morality,
• 14:32
  beyond our viewpoints, beyond our excuses, and transcends our
• 14:37
  defense mechanisms. Humans are weak and hurt each
• 14:42
  other over ideas and words. God is the only logical thing at
• 14:48
  this point. It's the only thing that also
• 14:51
  can motivate people to be better versions of themselves.
• 14:57
  We can see what happens. There was a book written a while
• 15:00
  back and there's also an analogy from Lord of the Rings since
• 15:04
  atheists like to bring that up and talk about religion.
• 15:08
  What would a person do morally if they were to be given a ring
• 15:14
  that they could wear, or a cloak that could cause them to go
• 15:17
  invisible? Would they do good things with
• 15:20
  invisibility? If you had the power to
• 15:23
  completely make yourself unseen, would you?
• 15:27
  Or would you be a dirty old man that stares at women when
• 15:31
  they're getting undressed? Would you watch women whenever
• 15:35
  they're gratifying themselves? Would you steal things because
• 15:40
  nobody could see you? I think that 99% of humans out
• 15:46
  there, you know that if people had that ability, it would be
• 15:49
  frightening. It'd be scary because, you know,
• 15:53
  humans are more probable and doing the wrong things and good
• 15:57
  things. And with that being said, it all
• 16:02
  really comes down to faith. Every one of us will wake up
• 16:05
  every morning. You have to believe in yourself,
• 16:08
  and you have to believe that the world is going to act logically
• 16:12
  and reasonable for you. And if the universe refuses to
• 16:16
  be logical, then how can you expect to get anything out of
• 16:21
  it, whether it be science, philosophy, or whatever?
• 16:25
  And keep in mind, if we expect the universe to remain logical
• 16:29
  so we can study it and research it, we also should expect that
• 16:34
  logic requires a mind. God bless.
