- 0:09Speaker 1: Good morning, good morning, good morning. Welcome, welcome, welcome. It
- 0:12Speaker 1: is time now for car talk with the just Toyota folks.
- 0:16Speaker 1: We've got mister Dundyes Brad in here today. He brought
- 0:19Speaker 1: a friend.
- 0:20Speaker 2: Good morning Tom, Hey Jason, how are you.
- 0:23Speaker 3: Good morning Tom, Good.
- 0:25Speaker 2: Morning friends out there. Thank you for joining us this morning.
- 0:28Speaker 2: We're so glad you're with us. As I say, every week,
- 0:30Speaker 2: it seems like in the springtime, what a difference a week.
- 0:33Speaker 2: Make nice and brisk this morning, and uh, pretty sunny,
- 0:39Speaker 2: had some rain and cleaned off the cars. Now mine's
- 0:42Speaker 2: a little dust. He needs another bath. It's uh, it
- 0:46Speaker 2: is that time of year. And Detail has been very busy.
- 0:49Speaker 2: They had a big month last month, cleaning cars several times.
- 0:52Speaker 2: And the snow.
- 0:54Speaker 3: I think mine is due for a good detail. That is,
- 0:58Speaker 3: you know, that's one of the things that we don't
- 0:59Speaker 3: talk about nearly enough on the show. Here Bred is
- 1:02Speaker 3: his Dungeons Detail.
- 1:03Speaker 2: And you do a great job. They're really great, great guys.
- 1:07Speaker 2: And they're down there at the Dungeons Truck Ranch on
- 1:10Speaker 2: Price Road and Highway seventy five, and John and the
- 1:13Speaker 2: team clean all our cars and they'll do clean your.
- 1:17Speaker 3: Car if you need it. It definitely needs it.
- 1:21Speaker 2: Yeah, we've had, we've got getting ready for the time change.
- 1:25Speaker 2: It's almost daylight savings time. You don't get me going on.
- 1:29Speaker 3: How do you feel about daylight savings time? They're brand
- 1:31Speaker 3: I don't.
- 1:31Speaker 2: Really like people who mess with when I get up
- 1:33Speaker 2: in the morning.
- 1:34Speaker 1: No, that's if you didn't ask him to mess with it.
- 1:38Speaker 2: You don't want to be messed with.
- 1:40Speaker 3: Hey, okay, so do we do we stay on?
- 1:43Speaker 2: I would rather stay on the standard time, okay, would
- 1:45Speaker 2: be my choice. If I have actually gave me asked
- 1:50Speaker 2: my opinion, I would be glad to answer.
- 1:52Speaker 3: I would rather stay on one time or and if you're.
- 1:55Speaker 2: Gonna do it, go back to the old time, make
- 1:58Speaker 2: it shorter again. But I do get up before sunrise
- 2:03Speaker 2: most of the year, and I appreciate the time when
- 2:05Speaker 2: there is a chance to see the sunlight early in
- 2:08Speaker 2: the morning because once he gets in the office, and yeah,
- 2:11Speaker 2: there's you know, we all have our differences.
- 2:14Speaker 3: Well, I'm talking to two people here who get up
- 2:17Speaker 3: very very early early o'clock for both of you. So, yeah,
- 2:21Speaker 3: it is time change. It is that, all right.
- 2:24Speaker 2: But here spring break coming to it's a busy time
- 2:27Speaker 2: of year with all the weather changes and it's busy
- 2:30Speaker 2: in the car business. We've got a lot of it's
- 2:32Speaker 2: truck time at Toyota. We've got great deals on Tacomas
- 2:36Speaker 2: and tundras and great great sancing. Yeah great as long
- 2:41Speaker 2: as zero percent on tundra. But you know it doesn't
- 2:44Speaker 2: stop there. We've got two nine, three, nine, and four
- 2:47Speaker 2: nine on almost every Toyota available now up to sixty months,
- 2:50Speaker 2: sometimes seventy two months. Really great interest rates, great leases,
- 2:55Speaker 2: lots of good inventory coming. We got another round of
- 3:00Speaker 2: into Tory that became visible this morning. There's Toyota works
- 3:04Speaker 2: in a very sophisticated allocation system where you know, the
- 3:09Speaker 2: truth is, in our entire region over five states, something
- 3:13Speaker 2: on the order of ninety percent of the cars are
- 3:15Speaker 2: sold every month, so they're turning over very quickly. And
- 3:19Speaker 2: so right now we've got about forty in the pipeline
- 3:23Speaker 2: and about twelve on the ground. And you know that's
- 3:27Speaker 2: often how it is. There's just more visible and we
- 3:30Speaker 2: get these allocations twice a month. We earn them based
- 3:33Speaker 2: on a snapshot they take of what we've sold over
- 3:37Speaker 2: the last Right now they're shifting it to sixty days,
- 3:40Speaker 2: so it's a it's a formula of how you earn
- 3:43Speaker 2: the vehicles, and that's kind of rubber against I. On
- 3:48Speaker 2: that last day of the month of February, we had
- 3:52Speaker 2: a Siena come in, which is a great Toyota van,
- 3:55Speaker 2: and you know, but it's been kind of hard to
- 3:57Speaker 2: get over the last few years.
- 3:58Speaker 3: They just start making a lot, they can't make enough.
- 4:01Speaker 2: And we had a Sienna come in and it was
- 4:05Speaker 2: actually had been reserved in the pipeline by someone and
- 4:09Speaker 2: we had a couple but it hit our inventory for
- 4:12Speaker 2: a couple of days, so it was visible on the
- 4:13Speaker 2: website and we had some folks come.
- 4:15Speaker 3: In to look at it, least three different couples who
- 4:19Speaker 3: came to look at a purchased band.
- 4:21Speaker 2: That got me to looking at Sienna out there in
- 4:24Speaker 2: the region. And so I can look at all of
- 4:27Speaker 2: the inventory of every Toyota dealer and across the five
- 4:31Speaker 2: States and what they're selling, and it was amazing how
- 4:34Speaker 2: everybody was in the same situation. You even the big
- 4:38Speaker 2: dealers in Tulsa, they'd sold I think Jim Norton had
- 4:41Speaker 2: sold eighteen Sienna's in the month, but they were out too,
- 4:44Speaker 2: and you know, so it was It's kind of one
- 4:47Speaker 2: of these things where no matter how big you are,
- 4:49Speaker 2: small you're you're you're in the same boat, and trying
- 4:52Speaker 2: to earn the toyotas definitely a supplying demand kind of thing.
- 4:57Speaker 2: We truly are on the smaller end of that. So
- 4:59Speaker 2: sometimes it looks like we don't have the cars, but
- 5:02Speaker 2: we can get them. I think last month we did
- 5:06Speaker 2: I think about twenty dealer trades, and you know, so
- 5:09Speaker 2: the inventory is constantly moving around and some of that
- 5:13Speaker 2: trades we did to help our trade partners, and the
- 5:15Speaker 2: other stuff we did to get inventory in here for
- 5:18Speaker 2: our customers. So just because it's not on our a lot,
- 5:22Speaker 2: you know, I think we are proud to be truly
- 5:24Speaker 2: a family owned business and you know, and don't really
- 5:28Speaker 2: look to be the biggest Toyota dealer around. You know,
- 5:31Speaker 2: there's big dealers out there that you know, some Toyota
- 5:34Speaker 2: dealers in our region. Some of them are selling three
- 5:36Speaker 2: four hundred new vehicles a month, and that's just not
- 5:41Speaker 2: what we do in Bartlesville. We would always be a
- 5:43Speaker 2: little bit smaller than some, but we definitely want to
- 5:47Speaker 2: earn your business. We've got our great sales team are great,
- 5:51Speaker 2: simple prices noncommissioned sales professionals with the upfront pricing, no
- 5:56Speaker 2: hitting fees or add ons we've got. I mentioned then
- 6:00Speaker 2: interest rate competitive, but it goes beyond that. We we
- 6:04Speaker 2: typically don't mark up interest rates. This is something that
- 6:07Speaker 2: I was really unique about how we work. And you know,
- 6:10Speaker 2: this is a common practice in the industry has been
- 6:15Speaker 2: where essentially we're reselling interest rates and but we set
- 6:19Speaker 2: we passed through the rate the bank gives to us
- 6:21Speaker 2: to you. We take what they call the flat which
- 6:23Speaker 2: is a is a smaller fee they pay uh, and
- 6:27Speaker 2: we just go from there. And that allows you to
- 6:29Speaker 2: get a very competitive rate from us, or to shop
- 6:32Speaker 2: rates a little bit better.
- 6:34Speaker 1: Uh.
- 6:34Speaker 2: We a lot of people come in knowing where they
- 6:37Speaker 2: can get on their interest rate from their bank, and
- 6:40Speaker 2: this allows us often to beat it and get and
- 6:43Speaker 2: uh and make it makes us very competitive if you're
- 6:47Speaker 2: looking to get a good loan. And I know interest
- 6:49Speaker 2: rates are a big issue with people on affordability of
- 6:53Speaker 2: vehicles these days. You know, the big news this week
- 6:56Speaker 2: on that front is around the tariffs. Tariffs which are
- 7:01Speaker 2: not happening. Well, it's kind of hard to say. Some
- 7:04Speaker 2: are I think they what I heard this morning. The
- 7:08Speaker 2: nuanced version of it is the automobiles, they've they've they've
- 7:12Speaker 2: set it aside for the cars themselves, but some parts
- 7:15Speaker 2: and things might still have some there are parts, and
- 7:19Speaker 2: so I think some of that's still to be worked
- 7:21Speaker 2: worked out, as with a lot of this, and so
- 7:25Speaker 2: I think that right now we're all still in that
- 7:27Speaker 2: uncertainty phase where we don't really know how it's going
- 7:30Speaker 2: to impact pricing. There's been a whole bunch of research
- 7:34Speaker 2: and press done on it. You know, I've seen everything
- 7:37Speaker 2: from three thousand to twelve thousand dollars a vehicle and
- 7:40Speaker 2: increased prices on new vehicles really depending on the type
- 7:44Speaker 2: of vehicle, different types of vehicles to have more parts
- 7:49Speaker 2: that are sourced in different places, different manufacturers. The really
- 7:53Speaker 2: complex thing and automobiles is you know, a lot of
- 7:56Speaker 2: times you know, for we have a brand new Forerunner
- 8:00Speaker 2: mentioned that just hit. We got our first one a
- 8:03Speaker 2: few weeks ago, four x two. And we just got
- 8:06Speaker 2: a four x four t r D Sport uh in
- 8:09Speaker 2: red beautiful. Uh, you definitely want to come check that out.
- 8:13Speaker 2: But uh, that vehicle started in planning about five years ago,
- 8:18Speaker 2: and you know, getting all the design Manu engineering and
- 8:23Speaker 2: then parts. You know, they have to line up all
- 8:27Speaker 2: the parts being manufactured and ready to go at the
- 8:30Speaker 2: time you want to start building the vehicles, and then
- 8:33Speaker 2: you ship them to the dealers and on and so
- 8:36Speaker 2: on and so forth. And you know, I think Toyota,
- 8:39Speaker 2: I'm proud to say Toys invested a whole lot of
- 8:41Speaker 2: manufacturing in North America. All the cameras are made in Kentucky.
- 8:46Speaker 2: The Tundras and Tacoma were made and in uh San Antonio.
- 8:51Speaker 2: Somea Coma production has been moved to Mexico, though, so
- 8:54Speaker 2: and some Wrap four productions then moved to Canada. So
- 8:58Speaker 2: these are really international systems. And of course they've been
- 9:04Speaker 2: working under the old system, which was set up in
- 9:07Speaker 2: the last time mister Trump was president, and you know,
- 9:11Speaker 2: and so it's you know, whether you agree with it
- 9:15Speaker 2: or not, it is the kind of the lay of
- 9:17Speaker 2: the land. And they've all adjusted to that. And it
- 9:19Speaker 2: takes time for them to adjust how they're going to
- 9:22Speaker 2: build the vehicles and where they're going to get the parts.
- 9:25Speaker 2: Uh So, it's it's hard to know what the end
- 9:28Speaker 2: it's going to be there. I do think, you know,
- 9:30Speaker 2: when you get right down to it the cars they
- 9:33Speaker 2: haven't got up in price yet. There's uncertainty on when
- 9:37Speaker 2: or if they will and how much you know, you
- 9:39Speaker 2: may It may make sense if you want, if you're
- 9:41Speaker 2: looking at buying a card to go ahead, ye now
- 9:46Speaker 2: the time. It could potentially lead to two more inflation
- 9:51Speaker 2: and used car values. Right, So if a new car
- 9:54Speaker 2: goes up in price, the used car, the use car
- 9:57Speaker 2: value also because I'll be more demand for US vehicles
- 10:02Speaker 2: in certain segments and price ranges, and and that just
- 10:06Speaker 2: kind of put demand some buying demand always, it's what
- 10:08Speaker 2: it really affects that that you typically affects pricing unless
- 10:12Speaker 2: you have things like tariffs and stuff. I've been watching
- 10:15Speaker 2: your mind go here. Usually try to get up early.
- 10:20Speaker 3: I know, I.
- 10:22Speaker 2: Do prepare for you. So every week I have about
- 10:25Speaker 2: fifty pages here. We were out of We ran out
- 10:28Speaker 2: of paper this week. That's true.
- 10:32Speaker 3: Now that we've covered uncertain you know, there are some
- 10:35Speaker 3: things we're pretty certain of, Tom, Yeah, And one of
- 10:39Speaker 3: those things is that we've got some great service specials
- 10:42Speaker 3: going on right now.
- 10:43Speaker 2: It done just.
- 10:44Speaker 3: Toyota and uh, you know, we we love selling cars,
- 10:50Speaker 3: that's kind of what we do. But we also love
- 10:53Speaker 3: taking care of cars at Dungees Toyota and we work
- 10:56Speaker 3: on all makes, all models, and a great group of people.
- 11:01Speaker 3: Right now, Angela has her Angela's Favorite special which is
- 11:09Speaker 3: on our website.
- 11:10Speaker 2: It is.
- 11:12Speaker 3: One of those specials where the more you spend, the
- 11:15Speaker 3: more you save. We also have a great fifteen dollars
- 11:21Speaker 3: off coupon on changing all your fluids. And this is
- 11:24Speaker 3: a good time of the year, you know, especially after.
- 11:29Speaker 2: Ready for spring break, you want to definitely want to
- 11:32Speaker 2: look at that to make sure all the tires are
- 11:35Speaker 2: our ride breaks, tires, your battery, all of that right
- 11:38Speaker 2: now is a.
- 11:39Speaker 3: Great time to look at.
- 11:40Speaker 2: And great deals on the website as you mentioned, and
- 11:44Speaker 2: easy to find dungeons Toyota dot com yep, and there's
- 11:49Speaker 2: great deals on vehicles there too. I know I mentioned
- 11:52Speaker 2: some before on the interest rate front, but on the
- 11:55Speaker 2: leases too. I noticed a couple of really great deals
- 11:59Speaker 2: on things that we have available right now on the
- 12:02Speaker 2: ground and can make great deals on a couple of cameras,
- 12:05Speaker 2: uh those right now there are releases on camera as
- 12:08Speaker 2: well as two ninety nine a month for thirty six
- 12:11Speaker 2: months at almost the same price for a Tacoma. This
- 12:15Speaker 2: just was my mind a Coma at two sixty nine
- 12:17Speaker 2: a month as a four x two, But that's just
- 12:21Speaker 2: a great value. That is to drive a Tacoma for
- 12:24Speaker 2: three years at under two hundred and seventy dollars a month,
- 12:29Speaker 2: that's that's just incredible. And another thing tweeted does that
- 12:33Speaker 2: A lot of times people think, well, I don't want
- 12:35Speaker 2: to finance a car. I'll just spend my cash and
- 12:39Speaker 2: you know I've got some money.
- 12:41Speaker 3: The one pay lease, the one pay lease.
- 12:43Speaker 2: That's what I was thinking of. These are are when
- 12:45Speaker 2: you are buying essentially maybe twenty four months of a
- 12:48Speaker 2: vehicle and you're going to drive twelve thousand miles a year,
- 12:52Speaker 2: you don't at that point you're going to want a
- 12:54Speaker 2: new vehicle. A lot of times if you finance that
- 12:57Speaker 2: car over a sixty months or seventy two months, after
- 13:00Speaker 2: a couple of years, you're still gonna not have a
- 13:03Speaker 2: lot of it a lot equity build up. With this,
- 13:06Speaker 2: you can you can pay ten thousand, seven hundred and
- 13:09Speaker 2: seventy nine dollars on that Tacoma SR five double calv
- 13:13Speaker 2: four by two and drive it for two years twenty
- 13:16Speaker 2: four thousand miles for under eleven thousand dollars.
- 13:21Speaker 3: That is pretty amazing.
- 13:22Speaker 2: So that's that's that doesn't include your TTNL. But you
- 13:28Speaker 2: know with with the Toyota maintenance too e they're going
- 13:32Speaker 2: to do your oil changes, your tire rotations for that
- 13:36Speaker 2: whole time. It's going to be true. Worry for you
- 13:39Speaker 2: driving ye for an investment of just ten thousand dollars.
- 13:43Speaker 2: So you take the other that's a vehicle that has
- 13:47Speaker 2: a The net capitalized value on the lease is thirty
- 13:52Speaker 2: seven eight thirty three. So you can take your twenty
- 13:56Speaker 2: seven thousand dollars that you didn't spend on cash and
- 14:00Speaker 2: put it invested in something and in two years you're
- 14:04Speaker 2: bound to have more that that is amazing.
- 14:07Speaker 3: You would be you're aheadsing so you're you have equity.
- 14:13Speaker 2: It's a great way to buy a vehicle, especially if
- 14:15Speaker 2: you have predictable miles and you and and you're going
- 14:19Speaker 2: to be wanting to and don't typically keep a car
- 14:22Speaker 2: for fifteen years. You know a lot of people do
- 14:25Speaker 2: drive them, especially Toyotas. I don't I never discourage anyone
- 14:29Speaker 2: from from driving, buying and keeping a Toyota. It is
- 14:34Speaker 2: that would be wrong because they do last it seems
- 14:36Speaker 2: like forever. We've got great uh you know, we got
- 14:41Speaker 2: to purchased a three over three hundred thousand miles little
- 14:45Speaker 2: yards this last week or so. It's just got a
- 14:49Speaker 2: lot of life left in it. I think keep going.
- 14:53Speaker 3: They really do that. That is uh, you know, that's
- 14:58Speaker 3: part of the reason that we are Dungeons Toyota is
- 15:03Speaker 3: the reliability of the product.
- 15:05Speaker 2: And we're starting to stock a lot more used Toyotas
- 15:09Speaker 2: right now. We've got a great selection of used Toyotas.
- 15:11Speaker 2: But I mentioned we're always looking to buy them. We're
- 15:14Speaker 2: a Kelly Bluebook instant cash offer buying center, so we
- 15:19Speaker 2: we actually look at cars from all over the entire
- 15:21Speaker 2: of the region. We're constantly looking at cars. We really do.
- 15:25Speaker 2: We cove it, I guess is a good way to
- 15:27Speaker 2: put it. The pre owned Toyotas, because they're special to
- 15:32Speaker 2: us and we know them well and you know sometimes
- 15:34Speaker 2: we've done service on them for years, so we know
- 15:36Speaker 2: those vehicles really well. And if you've got something like
- 15:39Speaker 2: that you're looking to sell, or really any make or model,
- 15:42Speaker 2: any type of vehicle condition, we'll give you an offer
- 15:47Speaker 2: for the vehicle and make it simple for you to
- 15:50Speaker 2: sell your car, whether you buy from us or not.
- 15:52Speaker 2: And I know Brian always says he's going to give
- 15:56Speaker 2: the most for.
- 15:57Speaker 3: Brian Bellard our job salesman or sure and.
- 16:00Speaker 2: Bruce dungeas is the other buyer there that typically looks
- 16:04Speaker 2: at the cars. And we've had a bunch of a
- 16:09Speaker 2: lot of time spent recently on website changes and other
- 16:12Speaker 2: stuff going on on our Yeah, we have a program
- 16:15Speaker 2: you've been working on that that has been a lot
- 16:18Speaker 2: of fun.
- 16:19Speaker 3: We're trying to make car buying as fast, transparent and
- 16:25Speaker 3: just feeling good as possible. And so we're always out
- 16:31Speaker 3: there tweaking the website, trying to add elements that will
- 16:38Speaker 3: give it enable you to answer your own question exactly exactly.
- 16:43Speaker 3: It's changed the whole sales process, you know, the last
- 16:47Speaker 3: fifteen twenty years, watching how the web has changed what
- 16:50Speaker 3: happens with cars, and a lot of times, you know,
- 16:56Speaker 3: Tom people come in, they're they're more well informed by
- 17:00Speaker 3: what they're purchasing then some of the salespeople, you know,
- 17:04Speaker 3: and they may be used.
- 17:05Speaker 2: To kind of get the run around on the price,
- 17:07Speaker 2: and our team really kind of tries to take that
- 17:12Speaker 2: out of the whole process.
- 17:13Speaker 3: The run around is gone nine of them.
- 17:15Speaker 2: A lot of our folks are not traditional sales folks.
- 17:18Speaker 2: They've had other careers and like Brandy and as a
- 17:23Speaker 2: medical assistant for a long time. And you know, I
- 17:27Speaker 2: constantly get compliments from customers on Brandy and how she
- 17:31Speaker 2: really and how she communicates with the customers and her
- 17:34Speaker 2: genuineness and honesty. And you know, I think I could
- 17:38Speaker 2: say that about all of our sales team. They're all
- 17:42Speaker 2: there because they want to be. They're not paid commission.
- 17:45Speaker 2: They get paid well and similar to what you would
- 17:48Speaker 2: make on commission, but they get a salary they know
- 17:51Speaker 2: going into the month, you know what they've made based
- 17:54Speaker 2: on their previous three months sales, and then they get
- 17:58Speaker 2: bonused on each vehicle they sell. Well, it really encourages
- 18:01Speaker 2: them just to take care of customers and to help
- 18:04Speaker 2: with the process of buying a car. We want there
- 18:06Speaker 2: to take care of our t.
- 18:08Speaker 3: I've noticed that, you know the process of buying a car,
- 18:11Speaker 3: the process of selling a car is so changed that
- 18:14Speaker 3: you know, instead of selling the car, what you're really
- 18:17Speaker 3: doing is assisting somebody with a computer that's on wheels.
- 18:21Speaker 2: Well, I mean the computer can do all the math
- 18:24Speaker 2: and a lot of the car deal is math. Let's
- 18:26Speaker 2: face it. I mean, you have a price, you have
- 18:28Speaker 2: a trade, you have an interest rate, your payment, you've
- 18:31Speaker 2: got all the other factors that go into that. We've
- 18:34Speaker 2: got tools on our website where you can go in
- 18:37Speaker 2: you can actually answer those questions, Well, what if what
- 18:40Speaker 2: if I use the instead of taking the interest rate
- 18:44Speaker 2: that my bank has. What if I use four nine
- 18:47Speaker 2: nine that Toyota gives me for sixty months? Is that
- 18:50Speaker 2: higher or lower then? Because there may may be there,
- 18:54Speaker 2: for instance, maybe there's a rebate instead of the interest rate.
- 18:57Speaker 2: You can calculate those kinds of.
- 18:59Speaker 3: Things, calculate your own payment, calculate your own down payment.
- 19:02Speaker 2: Find out what your trade in is worth in seconds.
- 19:05Speaker 3: And you basically walk into the dealership knowing what your
- 19:08Speaker 3: deal is.
- 19:09Speaker 2: And the great thing is the salesman does too, so
- 19:13Speaker 2: they don't have to start over, go back to the
- 19:15Speaker 2: beginning and try to put you through this process right
- 19:18Speaker 2: where where they try to sell you everything you don't
- 19:22Speaker 2: You've already decided you you didn't want. And I think
- 19:27Speaker 2: that that really from the consumer's point of view, from
- 19:29Speaker 2: our customer's point of view, is the the real benefit
- 19:32Speaker 2: is uh, you know a lot because a lot of
- 19:34Speaker 2: times it takes the uh, you know, somebody weeks to
- 19:38Speaker 2: make these kinds of decision and you never and you
- 19:41Speaker 2: want to be able to help them through that process.
- 19:43Speaker 3: It's a big decision.
- 19:45Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, great, great. Our team is really proud and
- 19:50Speaker 2: to constantly working on that process. Uh. You know, we
- 19:53Speaker 2: do market based pricing too. Brian and I price all
- 19:57Speaker 2: the vehicles ourselves based on you know, equal history, make model, trim, condition,
- 20:04Speaker 2: newer used. We compare them to other dealers and third
- 20:07Speaker 2: party sites like car Gurus, Carfax, Auto Trader, KBB, Edmunds,
- 20:12Speaker 2: everything you guys look at. We stand behind what we sell.
- 20:17Speaker 2: We're the oldest and most trusted Toyota dealer in Oklahoma
- 20:20Speaker 2: and we are truly a family owned business here in
- 20:23Speaker 2: Bartlesville for going on four generations and over eight decades
- 20:28Speaker 2: and really focused on making the car buying process easier
- 20:32Speaker 2: and faster and more fun. And that's that's what we do.
- 20:39Speaker 2: Also love to support stuff going on in the community.
- 20:41Speaker 2: There's a bunch of stuff going on. We're getting to that.
- 20:44Speaker 3: We're in that busy spring, lots of events season.
- 20:48Speaker 2: Congratulations to all the folks at the livestock shows last week.
- 20:53Speaker 2: I loved giving out the Showman Skips Scholarships to the
- 20:58Speaker 2: award winners there every year. They're they're just great kids,
- 21:03Speaker 2: and or they're not kids. They're young adults and they're
- 21:06Speaker 2: at that point in life where they're all getting ready
- 21:08Speaker 2: to go on to bigger and better things. And it's
- 21:11Speaker 2: really exciting to get to meet them briefly on that evening,
- 21:15Speaker 2: most of them. But we've got both for kids, say,
- 21:18Speaker 2: continuing this week, we've got Broadway in Bartlesville. We've got
- 21:22Speaker 2: the Big Country Breakfast out at the Elks Shamrock Theville
- 21:25Speaker 2: this weekend, so there's no shortage of stuff to.
- 21:29Speaker 3: Do, and it should be a pretty nice weekend tom
- 21:33Speaker 3: it should be.
- 21:34Speaker 2: Yeah, what's the weather report after we get a little
- 21:37Speaker 2: rain of chance on Saturdays?
- 21:39Speaker 1: Yeah, like a needy bitty chance to rain Saturday, But
- 21:42Speaker 1: fifty three up to sixty five on Sunday with sunshine.
- 21:45Speaker 2: Awesome, all right, sir.
- 21:46Speaker 3: Up Monday with seventy seven. Makes Saturday a good day
- 21:50Speaker 3: to come out and shop for cars.
- 21:53Speaker 2: Toyota, you still have some ground to make up from
- 21:56Speaker 2: the winter weather and pushing all the snow around there
- 21:59Speaker 2: last month. But yeah, that was quite a challenge on
- 22:02Speaker 2: the lot. But they did a good job and we
- 22:05Speaker 2: are you know, we're ready to go. Now. We got
- 22:08Speaker 2: our inventory all lined up. We know, we just got
- 22:11Speaker 2: this list of cars and details on what's coming.
- 22:15Speaker 3: What is coming in Brett. Let me find that if
- 22:18Speaker 3: I can't, okay, you keep going on.
- 22:21Speaker 2: Well there it is all right. Well, let me first
- 22:24Speaker 2: mention a couple of special deals. I mentioned the cameras.
- 22:27Speaker 2: There's two cameras, two land cruisers that we really need
- 22:30Speaker 2: to sell.
- 22:31Speaker 3: These, I think is a deal. Cruisers nineteen fifty eight cameras.
- 22:39Speaker 2: These are nineteen fifty eights. The white one has been
- 22:42Speaker 2: modified a little bit. It's got all weather tires and
- 22:45Speaker 2: a little bigger ye tire and it's it's a great
- 22:48Speaker 2: great looking Both are great looking vehicles. We do have
- 22:52Speaker 2: the brand new four Runner on the ground. You can
- 22:54Speaker 2: come look at that four Runner, but a white one
- 22:56Speaker 2: and a red one, a four x two and a
- 22:58Speaker 2: four by four. Once we've just got allocated are we've
- 23:03Speaker 2: got a couple of things that are going to be
- 23:06Speaker 2: here real soon. And Takloma Limited and a Sequahia Platinum.
- 23:11Speaker 2: And then we've got about forty other vehicles that are
- 23:14Speaker 2: in allocation that will be here. I'm talking about Prius's
- 23:17Speaker 2: Corolla's cameras, Groundsignias, three or four ound fours, two Siennas,
- 23:23Speaker 2: a Corolla, Corolla Hatchback, Corolla Cross, Grand Highlanders, Highland, two Highlanders,
- 23:31Speaker 2: about seven Tacomas, another Sequahia, four Tundras, and then another
- 23:36Speaker 2: four run or so.
- 23:37Speaker 3: That is a lot of vehicles coming in and what
- 23:41Speaker 3: about eighty five percent of them will be sold before
- 23:43Speaker 3: they come over.
- 23:44Speaker 2: Well to see you never know. It looks like there's
- 23:48Speaker 2: two of those are already sold right now, but a
- 23:50Speaker 2: lot of them just became visible today, so.
- 23:52Speaker 3: We'll see see how quick they how quick they go.
- 23:55Speaker 3: But if you are looking for a Toyota that isn't
- 23:59Speaker 3: on our website, be sure and click the build a
- 24:02Speaker 3: Toyota button. Let us know what you're looking for. We
- 24:06Speaker 3: will get it for you.
- 24:07Speaker 2: That's right. We have a couple opportunities every month to
- 24:10Speaker 2: do it. Put in a vehicle request, a special order
- 24:13Speaker 2: request for a vehicle, actually have it built for you.
- 24:16Speaker 2: But we mentioned the dealer trading before, and sometimes there's
- 24:20Speaker 2: other ways to tweak the vehicle. If we have a
- 24:22Speaker 2: little bit of lead time just to get exactly what
- 24:24Speaker 2: you want, so give us a shot. We'll work with
- 24:28Speaker 2: you through that process and certainly looking forward to helping you.
- 24:33Speaker 1: Wow, we my goodness sakes busy, busy, busy, busy, and
- 24:39Speaker 1: then it's going.
- 24:39Speaker 2: To get warmer and busier.
- 24:41Speaker 3: Warmer, busier is good again. You know, if with the
- 24:47Speaker 3: weather warming up and with spring break right around the corner,
- 24:51Speaker 3: do consider getting some maintenance done on your vehicle, make
- 24:55Speaker 3: make sure it's ready for what's coming with the summer
- 24:58Speaker 3: heat and talk to a Dungeons Twyota. You can make
- 25:02Speaker 3: an appointment at Dungestwyota dot com or just drop in
- 25:06Speaker 3: on our service drive and we take care of all
- 25:09Speaker 3: makes and all models.
- 25:10Speaker 1: Show hands, how many people got their Winchel wipers kind
- 25:13Speaker 1: of ripped up there with that ice and stuff.
- 25:16Speaker 2: Bett you have tires and wheels with the potholes and
- 25:20Speaker 2: stuff on an issue too. Windshield wipers batteries have been
- 25:24Speaker 2: an issue with all the extreme temperature changes.
- 25:27Speaker 3: And of course we should probably mention in that unforeseen
- 25:31Speaker 3: circumstance when you meet a deer or get a ding
- 25:34Speaker 3: or a dent, Dungeon's collision is there to make your
- 25:39Speaker 3: car look just like brand new again.
- 25:41Speaker 1: Space Age Technology they.
- 25:44Speaker 2: Have been busy, but you know that I think if
- 25:47Speaker 2: you are in need of a body shop, we are
- 25:49Speaker 2: the only OEM body shop left in In other words,
- 25:52Speaker 2: we work with the manufacturers, we work with all insurance companies.
- 25:57Speaker 2: We you know, we've the Dungeons body shop did move
- 26:01Speaker 2: from Ford over to the Toyota dealership when we sold
- 26:05Speaker 2: the Ford dealership and want to keep serving you there.
- 26:09Speaker 2: It's you know, we don't, we know, we don't. Obviously
- 26:13Speaker 2: these are not things we want anyone to experience. But
- 26:15Speaker 2: if you do end up needing a collision repair, you know,
- 26:19Speaker 2: we want to make sure it gets back to the
- 26:21Speaker 2: very best uh condition possible. And that's what we would do.
- 26:25Speaker 3: And the reviews that Mike and his team get on
- 26:31Speaker 3: Google for the body shop work its, they just do them.
- 26:34Speaker 2: They're a great team. There's seven or eight of them.
- 26:38Speaker 2: Last time I counted, they had over eighty years of
- 26:41Speaker 2: combined experience.
- 26:42Speaker 1: Uh.
- 26:42Speaker 2: You know a lot of these guys have spent their
- 26:44Speaker 2: whole work careers and lives at the dealership and.
- 26:48Speaker 1: In the continuing education Yeah with the things.
- 26:50Speaker 2: Yeah No, that's a lot a lot of our technical
- 26:53Speaker 2: team in service and in the body shop and in
- 26:55Speaker 2: the parts department. Truthfully, a lot of them are people
- 26:58Speaker 2: like that that have spent the whole care learning and
- 27:01Speaker 2: serving our customers. And it's a great, great if you're
- 27:04Speaker 2: looking for an opportunity like that. We're always looking to
- 27:06Speaker 2: hire people for service and really own the entire dealership.
- 27:11Speaker 2: And technical service is a great entry to the car business.
- 27:16Speaker 2: It gives you a chance to really start learning something,
- 27:20Speaker 2: whether you've had an exposure to electronics sometimes computer stuff.
- 27:25Speaker 2: Cars are so much electronics and computers these days. They
- 27:30Speaker 2: can be a lot of fun to work on for
- 27:32Speaker 2: people interested in that kind of work. Goodness sakes, where
- 27:35Speaker 2: can we find you, brad Well? We're out on Highway
- 27:38Speaker 2: seventy five at nineteen eleven Southeast Washington Boulevard. On the
