JD Sports is returning nearly 250,000 euros in unspent gift card credit to Irish customers after realizing their one-year expiry violated Irish law’s five-year minimum. The company, under pressure from the CCPC, will reissue over 5,000 gift cards—valued at nearly 250,000 euros—for cards with 10 euros or more left when they expired.
