- 0:10Speaker 1: Big trade in the NFL today, Jalen Waddle from the
- 0:13Speaker 1: Dolphins of the Broncos. Now all those Bronco fans could
- 0:16Speaker 1: shut up about what they're not doing in the offseason,
- 0:18Speaker 1: Is that right, stink?
- 0:19Speaker 2: I mean, tell them let's go stick is with us?
- 0:21Speaker 3: Hey, right, everybody whining over here, We're supposed to support
- 0:28Speaker 3: bone Nicks and what's going on? And how come we win?
- 0:31Speaker 3: In free agency? And you know they all signed, I mean,
- 0:34Speaker 3: the Broncos signed their own players, and they basically said, hey,
- 0:37Speaker 3: we think our players are better than the free agents
- 0:40Speaker 3: that are out there. And I can understand that, but
- 0:43Speaker 3: I still think there were some there were some positions
- 0:46Speaker 3: that you needed to address that you didn't address. Well,
- 0:49Speaker 3: at least now you've made a move. And you know,
- 0:53Speaker 3: Jalen Waddle is one of those guys to me, that
- 0:56Speaker 3: is a big time player. He just unfortunately played in
- 0:59Speaker 3: Miami where it's impossible to win. You just can't win others,
- 1:04Speaker 3: you cannot win in Miami. There's too many distractions. And
- 1:08Speaker 3: so I go back to Super Bowl thirty three as
- 1:12Speaker 3: a member of the Broncos and we're in the Miami
- 1:14Speaker 3: Dolphins facility, right, that's where we're training, getting prepped for
- 1:18Speaker 3: the Super Bowl against the Atlanta Falcons, and so we
- 1:22Speaker 3: walk in Wednesday morning. We had like our positional out
- 1:26Speaker 3: to dinner nights on like Monday night, and so we
- 1:30Speaker 3: all went out to dinner and we all celebrated. We
- 1:32Speaker 3: had a great time, and then Tuesday was media Day
- 1:35Speaker 3: and then Wednesday it's back to the grind. We show
- 1:39Speaker 3: up Wednesday and one of my teammates walks in the
- 1:42Speaker 3: locker room and there's a big reaseport in the Miami
- 1:46Speaker 3: Dolphins locker room, and he puts up the ten top
- 1:49Speaker 3: reasons the Miami Dolphins will never ever win the Super Bowl.
- 1:54Speaker 4: And I'm like, oh, well, this is interesting, Like I'm intrigued, right,
- 2:00Speaker 4: I'm all eyes and ears. And then he lists the
- 2:03Speaker 4: ten strip clubs that he had been to on Monday night,
- 2:07Speaker 4: and he said, there.
- 2:08Speaker 3: Are way too many distractions in Miami to be any
- 2:12Speaker 3: good at playing football. How can you be consistently good
- 2:15Speaker 3: at playing football when you've got all these distractions? And
- 2:20Speaker 3: you know, I think Jalen Waddle getting out of there.
- 2:23Speaker 3: He's a big time player with big time speed. He's
- 2:27Speaker 3: a perfect compliment to Courtland Sutton. On the other side,
- 2:30Speaker 3: and I talked about it on my podcast, The Sinkatory Podcast,
- 2:34Speaker 3: and also on my radio show this morning. It reminds
- 2:37Speaker 3: me a little bit, and I'm not comparing Courtland Sutton
- 2:39Speaker 3: to the Marius Thomas, but it reminds me a little
- 2:42Speaker 3: bit of when the Broncals had Damarius Thomas on one
- 2:45Speaker 3: side as the ex and they had Emmanuel Sanders as
- 2:49Speaker 3: the Z on the opposite side. A great one two punch.
- 2:53Speaker 3: I love it, and I think I think it is
- 2:57Speaker 3: I think it's a big time kind of moved by
- 2:59Speaker 3: the Denvercos to create and invest in another dynamic player
- 3:06Speaker 3: on this offense, something that I thought was lacking and
- 3:09Speaker 3: something now that they've solved.
- 3:11Speaker 5: I'm not gonna lie. I stopped listening once you said
- 3:14Speaker 5: the top ten strip clup in Miami. I was just
- 3:16Speaker 5: wondering who was number one.
- 3:17Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean, I don't don't I have no idea,
- 3:21Speaker 6: But you have to imagine, right, You have to imagine
- 3:24Speaker 6: the talent level in Miami is significantly more than like
- 3:29Speaker 6: Green Bay, Wisconsin or Buffalo, Right.
- 3:33Speaker 3: You would have to think there's a lot more talent
- 3:36Speaker 3: in that area of the country. I don't know from experience,
- 3:41Speaker 3: I'm just guestimating.
- 3:42Speaker 1: Stink, you are so right about this. Eugene Robinson was
- 3:45Speaker 1: the Man of the Year in the NFL and was
- 3:48Speaker 1: arrested in Miami before Super Bowl.
- 3:50Speaker 2: I mean, how about that?
- 3:52Speaker 3: You know I was playing that. I know, yes, when
- 3:56Speaker 3: the news came down. When the news came down, I
- 4:00Speaker 3: was sitting at a table with I was sitting at
- 4:04Speaker 3: table with Lway. We're having like this brunch breakfast right
- 4:09Speaker 3: like at ten o'clock we had not like we had
- 4:11Speaker 3: meetings and then we had breakfast afterwards like eight thirty
- 4:14Speaker 3: meetings or nine o'clock meeting, whatever it was. So we're
- 4:16Speaker 3: sitting down there and we're all about this roundtable. There's
- 4:20Speaker 3: probably about eight of us. And I was sitting, you know,
- 4:23Speaker 3: in the vicinity Lway and Fred Fleming was Elway's kind
- 4:27Speaker 3: of security guy that you know, made sure at hotels
- 4:30Speaker 3: and stuff and everything that Elway wasn't bothered, right, So
- 4:33Speaker 3: he was just assigned to Lway by the team. And
- 4:36Speaker 3: Fred Fleming came up to our table and said, hey, listen, you,
- 4:40Speaker 3: Jane Robinson got arrested. He spent the night in jail
- 4:43Speaker 3: last night, and Elway looked at me and went championship.
- 4:51Speaker 2: We want it right there.
- 4:52Speaker 3: Yes, yeah, we were just like championship. We can't overcome
- 4:57Speaker 3: that distraction, right, I mean, it's just impossible.
- 5:00Speaker 1: Right, uh stink. I feel like this is the rare trade.
- 5:03Speaker 1: We say this a lot, but often it's not the case.
- 5:05Speaker 1: This is a good trade for both teams. The Broncos
- 5:08Speaker 1: are inside a championship window and the Dolphins are clearly
- 5:11Speaker 1: rebuilding here and they got.
- 5:12Speaker 2: A first and a third. It's a good trade for
- 5:14Speaker 2: the Dolphins as well.
- 5:16Speaker 3: Yeah, I think so. I mean, obviously you have to understand,
- 5:19Speaker 3: like the thirtieth overall pick. Anytime you're talking about first
- 5:22Speaker 3: round picks, there's really and you talk to gms around
- 5:26Speaker 3: the league, there's really usually about fifteen to seventeen players
- 5:30Speaker 3: that have first round grades because you have thirty two
- 5:33Speaker 3: first rounders, right, like second round grades get elevated into
- 5:38Speaker 3: the first round. So it's really, you know, from the
- 5:41Speaker 3: Broncos perspective, we're getting a top ten pick from five
- 5:46Speaker 3: years ago that's entering the prime of his career for
- 5:49Speaker 3: the thirtieth overall pick. And when I played in Washington
- 5:53Speaker 3: under Joe Gibbs, Joe Gibbs, you say this all the time.
- 5:55Speaker 3: I will trade a known commodity for an unknown commodity
- 6:00Speaker 3: any day of the week. And this is a guy
- 6:03Speaker 3: that's in his prime. So now that you look at
- 6:06Speaker 3: where the Miami Dolphins are, I think they have seven
- 6:09Speaker 3: I think they have seven picks and the seven of
- 6:12Speaker 3: the first ninety four picks in the draft. Yes, clearly
- 6:15Speaker 3: they're rebuilding. You know, clearly they're they're turning over their roster.
- 6:20Speaker 3: And so I agree with you. I think it's a
- 6:22Speaker 3: really I think it's a good deal for the Broncos,
- 6:24Speaker 3: and I think it's a good deal for Miami based
- 6:26Speaker 3: upon where they are and where they want to go.
- 6:29Speaker 5: Looking at Miami, I mean, they just signed Malik Willis
- 6:34Speaker 5: and now you've basically taken away everybody who does anything
- 6:37Speaker 5: on that offense except for a chan. What do you
- 6:40Speaker 5: see happening with them? Do you think that they're dare
- 6:44Speaker 5: I say tanking?
- 6:48Speaker 3: I think that they are trying to change the culture
- 6:51Speaker 3: of their football team and trying to bring in a
- 6:56Speaker 3: group of players like that that understand and have football
- 7:01Speaker 3: as the number one priority. And I don't think it
- 7:04Speaker 3: was that way. I don't think it's been that way
- 7:07Speaker 3: for quite some time. And so I think part of that.
- 7:11Speaker 3: I don't think it's tanking. And we've seen how quickly
- 7:14Speaker 3: you can turn a team around. Where the New England
- 7:16Speaker 3: Patriots win four games, they fire their coach to bring
- 7:19Speaker 3: in Vrabel. They spend a bunch of money in free agency,
- 7:22Speaker 3: but they land the right players in free agency, they
- 7:26Speaker 3: land the right players in the draft that you can
- 7:29Speaker 3: turn it around in a season or two. And so
- 7:33Speaker 3: you just have to have the right the right players.
- 7:35Speaker 3: But in Miami because of the distractions, because it's it's
- 7:39Speaker 3: freaking Miami. Like I always said, you know, playing in Denver,
- 7:43Speaker 3: playing in Washington, you guys get your ass whooped. You know,
- 7:47Speaker 3: the coaches are on you at practice. You leave, it's
- 7:51Speaker 3: six o'clock at night. You're heading home. It's raining, it's miserable,
- 7:55Speaker 3: it's cold, right, and you're just like, the coaches are
- 7:58Speaker 3: up my ass, and we got to get win just
- 8:00Speaker 3: to get everybody off, like just to just to just
- 8:03Speaker 3: to take some pressure off. Like the same scenario can
- 8:06Speaker 3: happen in Miami or or back in the day in
- 8:09Speaker 3: San Diego. And you pull out of the parking lot,
- 8:11Speaker 3: it's five point thirty, it's beautiful out. You're going Hey,
- 8:14Speaker 3: let's go down to you know, let's go down to
- 8:17Speaker 3: La Jolla and get Margarita's right. It's just there's just
- 8:21Speaker 3: a it's just a different feel, a different vibe. And
- 8:24Speaker 3: so I think you have to you have to get
- 8:26Speaker 3: real professional players to be successful in Miami, and you
- 8:30Speaker 3: gotta you gotta fix the culture of that over do
- 8:34Speaker 3: you think about it? Like when Mike mcdaand went there
- 8:37Speaker 3: to be the head coach of the Miami Dolphins. Like Mike,
- 8:40Speaker 3: he was a football nerd. Yes, one it took. It
- 8:44Speaker 3: took one year. He's got the big you know, big
- 8:46Speaker 3: glasses on, he's got the freaking he's got the capri
- 8:50Speaker 3: pants that are pushed up to his shins. Yeah, you
- 8:53Speaker 3: know he looks like Don He all of a sudden
- 8:55Speaker 3: he became Miami vice Don Johnson. You know, like stop
- 9:00Speaker 3: we start. We're going to start the meetings at twenty
- 9:02Speaker 3: four after the app because we have one a playoff
- 9:04Speaker 3: game in twenty four years, Like play come on, tubs,
- 9:08Speaker 3: stop it, like stop it, what are we doing? It
- 9:12Speaker 3: just affects everybody, So you got to have a tough mindset.
- 9:15Speaker 3: I think that's why they went out and got happy.
- 9:17Speaker 3: You know, he they coached at Green Bay. He's used
- 9:20Speaker 3: to being miserable, Like you need a miserable person to
- 9:23Speaker 3: coach that team, Don Shula. Look, Don Shula seemed to
- 9:26Speaker 3: me when he was a coach, to be miserable. I
- 9:28Speaker 3: think that's who you need. Miserable even in Miami. Yeah,
- 9:32Speaker 3: he could he could find, you know what he could find?
- 9:36Speaker 3: You know, they say in every cloud there's a silver lining.
- 9:39Speaker 3: If you coach in Miami, you need to find the
- 9:42Speaker 3: feasis lining in every cloud, like you got. It's not
- 9:45Speaker 3: no matter what it is. You gottao for the worst
- 9:48Speaker 3: thing possible and then you got to preach it. You
- 9:50Speaker 3: gotta do. You gotta go the opposite. Right, there's nothing
- 9:53Speaker 3: good can happen out of this scenario. Let me tell
- 9:55Speaker 3: you why. That's how you gotta be.
- 9:57Speaker 1: The two coaches that had success in Miami Shula, as
- 10:00Speaker 1: you pointed out, and Jimmy Johnson.
- 10:02Speaker 3: Yeah, both miserable. He feels like both miserable. I don't
- 10:07Speaker 3: know Don Tula, but that Jimmy when he was coaching,
- 10:11Speaker 3: was he was miserable?
- 10:12Speaker 7: Come on, yes, yes, Mike, you just a quick correction.
- 10:15Speaker 7: Devon a Chan now pronounces his name Devon at the end.
- 10:22Speaker 1: And by the way, if you expanded out to Fort Lauderdale,
- 10:25Speaker 1: Scarlet's had to be number one on that list.
- 10:27Speaker 2: I mean, that's what a friend told me.
- 10:28Speaker 3: I'm just telling you, Okay, I would I wouldn't know,
- 10:32Speaker 3: but I will. I will take that under advisement.
- 10:35Speaker 2: Yes, I trust this friend.
- 10:36Speaker 1: But anyway, back to Miami, you are so right, Marino,
- 10:38Speaker 1: the greatest quarterback I've ever seen throw the football could
- 10:41Speaker 1: have win a championship in Miami.
- 10:43Speaker 2: It's crazy, you're right.
- 10:44Speaker 8: Yes, yeah, I think that's endemic of like just endemic
- 10:51Speaker 8: of really nice places in general, because you know, you
- 10:54Speaker 8: always just walk out and you like you It's like, uh,
- 10:58Speaker 8: Katrina and the Waves on Sunshine.
- 11:00Speaker 3: Like that's not that big. It's not that big a deal,
- 11:03Speaker 3: where everywhere else you're just stressed as you can be
- 11:07Speaker 3: when it comes to losing.
- 11:08Speaker 2: Yes, does this move today? Mate?
- 11:10Speaker 1: The Broncos, in your opinion the favorite to come out
- 11:12Speaker 1: of the AFC or is it too early to kind
- 11:14Speaker 1: of project that here?
- 11:16Speaker 3: It's kind of early. I mean, it certainly helps. I
- 11:19Speaker 3: don't know that I'm gonna call them the favorite. I mean,
- 11:22Speaker 3: come on, what do they win eleven to one score games?
- 11:24Speaker 3: Last year. Yep, you gotta figure. You gotta figure gonna
- 11:28Speaker 3: kind of regress back to the mean, right, So I
- 11:31Speaker 3: don't think that's I don't think that's gonna happen. I
- 11:35Speaker 3: still think there's some things they need to address in
- 11:38Speaker 3: the running back room. I think they need a dynamic
- 11:41Speaker 3: dual threat tight end. I still think there's some things
- 11:44Speaker 3: they need. But they've got a damn good roster. They've
- 11:46Speaker 3: got a damn good, damn good football team, really good
- 11:50Speaker 3: defense that will keep them in games. But you know,
- 11:53Speaker 3: you got to look at the AFC West in general.
- 11:55Speaker 3: You gotta think the Chargers gonna be healthy, what they've
- 11:58Speaker 3: done at free agency. You gotta think that Mahomes is
- 12:01Speaker 3: going to bounce back and they're going to be better.
- 12:04Speaker 3: So it's a tough division, no question about it. But
- 12:08Speaker 3: I still think the Denver Broncos are right there in
- 12:11Speaker 3: the playoff thick of things.
- 12:13Speaker 2: Stuck Got's here.

- 15:21Speaker 2: I'm wondering here. I know what happened.
- 15:22Speaker 1: It feels like it happened three months ago. But what
- 15:25Speaker 1: was your thought? What were your thoughts here on on
- 15:27Speaker 1: what the Ravens.
- 15:28Speaker 2: Did with Max Max Crosby.
- 15:31Speaker 3: Listen, like what they did. It's not like Max Crosby
- 15:36Speaker 3: showed up and you were like, oh my god, did
- 15:38Speaker 3: you guys know this guy had knee surgery. I think
- 15:44Speaker 3: I think what happens it gives you an out. I
- 15:47Speaker 3: think what happened was they thought that Trey Hendrickson was
- 15:50Speaker 3: going to be a forty million dollars a year guy,
- 15:54Speaker 3: and like it. Let me just say this, if Trey
- 15:57Speaker 3: Hendrickson would have signed in Indianapolis, Max Crosby would have
- 16:00Speaker 3: passed his physical right. That's just a fact.
- 16:04Speaker 2: Such a good point.
- 16:05Speaker 3: That's a fact. That's how it goes. And so I
- 16:08Speaker 3: mean I failed physicals in nineteen ninety four, you know,
- 16:12Speaker 3: and I did this again on the Sinking Truth podcast
- 16:15Speaker 3: if anybody wants to check it out, because it's more
- 16:16Speaker 3: detailed there. But in nineteen ninety four, I failed the
- 16:19Speaker 3: physical in Chicago, in Indianapolis, in Atlanta. Then I go
- 16:23Speaker 3: to Denver and I basically made fart noises with my
- 16:26Speaker 3: armpits and they passed me on the physical. And I
- 16:28Speaker 3: find out later that Mike Shanahan said he passes the
- 16:31Speaker 3: physical regardless whatever his knee looks like. So that knee
- 16:36Speaker 3: in ninety four failed three physicals. And then in ninety seven,
- 16:39Speaker 3: I was a free agent again and the Chargers wanted
- 16:41Speaker 3: to sign me, and I said to Bobby Bether, their
- 16:43Speaker 3: general manager at the time, I said, if you're going
- 16:46Speaker 3: to fly me in here to take a legitimate physical,
- 16:49Speaker 3: don't waste my time and your money because I won't
- 16:53Speaker 3: pass it. But if it's just going to be one
- 16:54Speaker 3: of those fake physicals that you guys give, then yeah,
- 16:58Speaker 3: I'm all in. And he goes, you got to pass
- 17:00Speaker 3: the real physical, then I go DoD the deals off
- 17:03Speaker 3: the table, and so that ended. So that knee that
- 17:07Speaker 3: failed four physicals, and at that point I had only
- 17:10Speaker 3: had I think nine total surgeries after ninety four and
- 17:16Speaker 3: failing those three physicals, and I think I had six
- 17:18Speaker 3: knee surgeries by the time I retired in two thousand
- 17:22Speaker 3: and one, and I was filing for in the line
- 17:24Speaker 3: of duty disability that left knee that had failed three physicals,
- 17:30Speaker 3: that left knee failed three physicals after six surgeries, and
- 17:34Speaker 3: had fifteen surgeries at that point on that same left knee.
- 17:39Speaker 3: And the NFL's doctors the same guys who failed me,
- 17:42Speaker 3: I mean part of the NFL crew, not the same doctors,
- 17:45Speaker 3: but part of the same NFL kind of quote unquote
- 17:48Speaker 3: medical team that failed me on three consecutive physicals after
- 17:53Speaker 3: only six knee surgeries on that left knee. Deemed that
- 17:57Speaker 3: my left knee, after fifteen knee surgeries and six more
- 18:00Speaker 3: years of wear and tear on that knee, didn't qualify
- 18:04Speaker 3: for in the line of duty disability, didn't qualify as
- 18:08Speaker 3: injured enough to get the disability. So the whole passing
- 18:15Speaker 3: a physical process is does the team want you to
- 18:18Speaker 3: pass the physical or do they want to use it
- 18:22Speaker 3: as leverage against you? And that's how the whole thing works.
- 18:26Speaker 3: There's no question in my mind if the Baltimore Ravens
- 18:29Speaker 3: wouldn't have been able to sign Trey Hendrix if he
- 18:32Speaker 3: would have signed to Indianapolis at thirty five or forty
- 18:35Speaker 3: million dollars a year, that Max Crosby would have passed
- 18:39Speaker 3: that physical. There's no doubt in my mind. But they
- 18:41Speaker 3: gave themselves an out, and listen, man, I'm not making them.
- 18:45Speaker 3: That's just the way it works. You got the out,
- 18:47Speaker 3: you used it. Good for you.
- 18:50Speaker 5: Do you expect any repercussions for the Ravens, whether it
- 18:53Speaker 5: be from agents or other teams dealing with them, they
- 18:56Speaker 5: go head forward, or at least in the short term,
- 18:57Speaker 5: they got Hendrick.
- 18:58Speaker 3: Yeah, it's like, yeah, it's like Mike, this is what
- 19:02Speaker 3: I expect. I expect. It's like writing a strongly worded letter.
- 19:06Speaker 3: Who gives a brit You know, like eventually you know
- 19:10Speaker 3: there's gonna be general managers say that be a sid
- 19:13Speaker 3: You guys knew what you were getting into, and you
- 19:15Speaker 3: screwed the player and this, that and the other until
- 19:17Speaker 3: you've got something that they've got something that you want
- 19:21Speaker 3: and you think you can get a good deal on it,
- 19:24Speaker 3: and then you know what, that goes out the window
- 19:26Speaker 3: because you'll be dealing with Eric Dacostas and the Baltimore Ravens,
- 19:29Speaker 3: and you won't think twice about it if you think
- 19:32Speaker 3: you can. If you can that you need the upper
- 19:34Speaker 3: end on a trade or a deal stank.
- 19:36Speaker 1: Final question on the way out here, who has a
- 19:39Speaker 1: better chance of succeeding? Is it Tua in Atlanta or
- 19:42Speaker 1: Kyler Murray in Minnesota?
- 19:46Speaker 3: I would say Kyler Murray in Minnesota. I think Kyler,
- 19:53Speaker 3: like Kyler Murray, just learned, needs to learn that the
- 19:57Speaker 3: spectacular is out what wins. The spectacular makes sports center highlights.
- 20:05Speaker 3: The boring wins games. And I don't know if he's
- 20:09Speaker 3: gonna learn that. I hope that he's he's at a
- 20:13Speaker 3: place in his career where it's about winning and not
- 20:16Speaker 3: being a sports center highlight, because until you fall in
- 20:20Speaker 3: love with the boring, you cannot win in this league.
- 20:25Speaker 3: Until you take what the defense gives you. When you're
- 20:28Speaker 3: scrambling around and you're making all kinds of plays, when
- 20:31Speaker 3: you playoff schedule, what happens is you'll make three or
- 20:35Speaker 3: four spectacular Sports center highlight plays that everybody writes home about,
- 20:42Speaker 3: but in the same time you'll take three sacks. You'll
- 20:44Speaker 3: have a sack, strip fumble, and you'll throw a pick
- 20:48Speaker 3: six that ends up beating you, that ends up having
- 20:51Speaker 3: the other team win, and that's what happens. So I hope,
- 20:56Speaker 3: like I love Kyler, I think he's a great kid,
- 20:58Speaker 3: you know, I mean, yeah, I think he's I think
- 21:02Speaker 3: he's a lot of fun. I hope he learns that
- 21:04Speaker 3: because if he if he does, I think he can
- 21:07Speaker 3: have a lot of success in Minnesota with the weapons
- 21:09Speaker 3: they have.
- 21:11Speaker 5: Last question for me. You know, I love Mark Shlera's
- 21:15Speaker 5: stories and one of my favorites is listening to the
- 21:19Speaker 5: games you used to play on the field that had
- 21:21Speaker 5: nothing to do with football.
- 21:22Speaker 2: So can you.
- 21:23Speaker 5: Please explain to these guys some of the more fun
- 21:26Speaker 5: games you played on the field while the football game
- 21:28Speaker 5: happened to be going on.
- 21:30Speaker 3: Yeah, my favorite, my favorite all time game was the
- 21:32Speaker 3: Oreally Game. And the oldreally game is something that a
- 21:38Speaker 3: guy by dam of Dave Harbor kind of introduced me
- 21:41Speaker 3: to with the Denver Broncos are excuse me, with the
- 21:43Speaker 3: Washington Redskins. He was our deep snapper of the time.
- 21:46Speaker 3: And the oldreally game is that I state something that
- 21:53Speaker 3: I know you know and that you know I know
- 21:57Speaker 3: right that we have common knowledge about this, but I
- 22:01Speaker 3: purposely stated incorrectly just so you can correct me. And
- 22:08Speaker 3: then when you correct me, I get right in your
- 22:12Speaker 3: face and I go, oh really, So here's how it works.
- 22:16Speaker 3: I'm standing in the huddle, and this happens a million times,
- 22:19Speaker 3: this has happened so many times. And you're waiting in
- 22:22Speaker 3: a TV time out right, and they're playing let's call
- 22:26Speaker 3: it ac DC's Back in Black. Everybody knows it, right,
- 22:31Speaker 3: everybody knows the song. And I'll turn to Tommy Nalan,
- 22:34Speaker 3: who is standing beside me. I go, dude, this is
- 22:37Speaker 3: my favorite Nazareth song off the Hair of the Dog album. Man,
- 22:42Speaker 3: this is great, and Tommy'd be like, no, no, no, no,
- 22:45Speaker 3: this is this is a CDC Back in Black. And
- 22:48Speaker 3: I get right into face like this go and then
- 22:53Speaker 3: you just bet in the huddle you thought that's the
- 22:55Speaker 3: funniest thing that's ever happened. And then all of a sudden,
- 22:59Speaker 3: the rest of blow the whistle and we call playing,
- 23:01Speaker 3: and you'd be like, all right, let's get locked in here.
- 23:03Speaker 3: So yeah, we didn't constantly play that game in the hovel. Yeah,
- 23:08Speaker 3: I just it was just a little stupid stuff like that.
- 23:11Speaker 3: To keep yourself entertained.
- 23:12Speaker 2: Taylor is going to steal that game for the show.
- 23:14Speaker 2: I'm telling you right now.
- 23:16Speaker 3: I still play. I still play with my kids. Me
- 23:19Speaker 3: and my kids still played the o'really game, and everybody's
- 23:22Speaker 3: on high alert. We played on my rate. We played
- 23:24Speaker 3: the game on my radio station constantly, and everybody's high
- 23:27Speaker 3: alert because, like I think most of our listeners think
- 23:31Speaker 3: we're just idiots because we're stating things that are completely
- 23:34Speaker 3: incorrect all the time. Just to see if anybody and
- 23:36Speaker 3: here looking around going, does anybody anyone You're just out
- 23:39Speaker 3: there fishing all the time.
- 23:41Speaker 2: Yeah, I love it.
- 23:43Speaker 1: Normally I'm just incorrect, but mark uh and I apologize.
- 23:47Speaker 1: One final question on the way out, because your son
- 23:48Speaker 1: played in the major plays of the majors.
- 23:50Speaker 2: Are you into the World Baseball Classic tonight?
- 23:53Speaker 1: Taylor is not rooting for Team USA because of a
- 23:55Speaker 1: Yankee fan, he cannot bring himself to root for Romananda.
- 23:58Speaker 7: No, I'm rooting for the USA. I'm just not rooting
- 24:01Speaker 7: for Roman Anthony when he gets out. Jeez.
- 24:04Speaker 3: Yeah, well okay, I mean I get that, but no,
- 24:06Speaker 3: you got to root for the uteam USA. Yeah, I'm
- 24:08Speaker 3: into it, man, I like I can't wait to like schemes. Unbelievable, right, yes,
- 24:14Speaker 3: just the unbelievable player and you know, plays for you know,
- 24:19Speaker 3: the Yankees' number one farm system, the Pittsburgh Pirates, And like,
- 24:24Speaker 3: I watch him and I just think, if that dude's healthy,
- 24:26Speaker 3: he's going to be our first billion dollar player, don't
- 24:29Speaker 3: you think. Yeah, if that dude remains healthy, he'll be
- 24:32Speaker 3: the first billion dollar Major League player.
- 24:34Speaker 2: Yep.
- 24:36Speaker 3: And uh man, I'm jealous.
- 24:40Speaker 2: Yeah, have three rings, man.
- 24:43Speaker 3: Dude, I wasn't. Yeah, but I mean from a money standpoint,
- 24:46Speaker 3: I mean I was. I was working for a free
- 24:49Speaker 3: gator Rade. Like you know, have cleats will work anyone, anyone, anyone.
- 24:55Speaker 3: I've got my own cleats. You don't even have to
- 24:56Speaker 3: give me a bear physical fifteen niece injuries Jesus Christ.
- 25:02Speaker 3: Well that was just on my left.
- 25:04Speaker 2: How many on the right?
- 25:05Speaker 3: Five on my I had five on my right?
- 25:07Speaker 2: Oh my god, I mean your poor left.
- 25:11Speaker 3: All right, My left one is a little bit beat up. Anyhow,
- 25:13Speaker 3: all right, I gotta let you phones go. I got
- 25:15Speaker 3: stuff to do, all right.
