Law And Crime Investigations · Apr 26, 2026 · 49m

A concerned family requested welfare checks on a New Mexico man after not hearing from him for nearly 4 months. Craig Thetford and his wife were living in a remote area, secluded from the general public. When police spoke with Deana Thetford, she said Craig went on a fishing trip to Mexico with his “new girlfriend,” which was news to the 60-year-old volunteer firefighter’s family. As investigators dug deeper, Craig’s “secret trip” was not backed by evidence. Find out what happened to Craig Thetford on this episode of Law&Crime Investigates. Learn more about your ad choices.
