- 0:00Speaker 1: Back to it, NewsRadio 570, WQN. So you saw this.
- 0:03Speaker 1: You said you were reading it with Newsweek Online about oil,
- 0:08Speaker 1: basically oil shortages, which is interesting because I mentioned earlier
- 0:12Speaker 1: in the broadcast, and I can't remember where I read that,
- 0:16Speaker 1: where they were saying it might be more difficult to find, like,
- 0:22Speaker 1: when you go out and buy a gallon of oil
- 0:23Speaker 1: for your car and that kind of stuff.
- 0:25Speaker 2: At some of the auto parts store or Walmart or stuff.
- 0:28Speaker 1: Yeah. So you've read that too?
- 0:31Speaker 3: Yeah, I have. Stock up on oil.
- 0:34Speaker 2: Well, they're depleting..
- 0:37Speaker 1: They say that they're depleting the strategic oil reserve both
- 0:41Speaker 1: in the U.S. and China and all these places are...
- 0:44Speaker 1: That's what's keeping prices where they are now, but they're
- 0:46Speaker 1: depleting all these reserves.
- 0:48Speaker 3: This is leading to global financial problems. My personal conviction,
- 0:52Speaker 3: I believe we're heading into the tribulation period, period of
- 0:55Speaker 3: chaos just before Jesus Christ returns, but... That's my conviction
- 0:59Speaker 3: about the time we're living.
- 1:00Speaker 1: Well, I don't know about that. Now you're getting out
- 1:03Speaker 1: there on the Art Bell Show.
- 1:05Speaker 3: It's in the scriptures.
- 1:08Speaker 1: Yeah, well, I hope you're wrong.
- 1:11Speaker 2: But we shall see.
- 1:13Speaker 1: We shall see. So I'll be curious on... I'm glad
- 1:19Speaker 1: you confirmed that, though, because I read so much I
- 1:22Speaker 1: can't remember where I read.
- 1:23Speaker 3: I heard you say it, and I thought I'd share
- 1:25Speaker 3: this article with you.
- 1:26Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:27Speaker 3: If it continues to go on, there's going to be shortages.
- 1:31Speaker 2: Right.
- 1:32Speaker 1: And I don't see any sign of this, all of this, oh,
- 1:36Speaker 1: we're close to an agreement. I don't see any sign
- 1:38Speaker 1: of that happening, because every time they say it, it
- 1:41Speaker 1: doesn't happen.
- 1:43Speaker 3: Oh, they're misleading the public on the deal. Iran's not
- 1:48Speaker 3: going to give, I got an article, they're not going
- 1:49Speaker 3: to give up their nuclear, uranium, or whatever they're giving
- 1:52Speaker 3: to uranium enrichment. They're keeping it. That's Trump totally against that.
- 1:58Speaker 3: So there's not going to be a peace deal. They're
- 2:01Speaker 3: going to try to wait us out and collapse our economy,
- 2:03Speaker 3: which might happen. Right.
- 2:09Speaker 1: It seems like some of it's happening now, don't you?
- 2:13Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 2:14Speaker 3: This is playing right in, you know, G2 talks about
- 2:17Speaker 3: the globalists all the time.
- 2:18Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 2:19Speaker 3: Playing right into their climate change. Nobody's going to be
- 2:21Speaker 3: driving a car much longer and polluting and causing global
- 2:24Speaker 3: warming and 15-minute sittings and playing right in the gold list.
- 2:28Speaker 1: Yeah, the Department of Energy has released 17.5 million barrels
- 2:33Speaker 1: from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve since March.
- 2:36Speaker 2: Well, that's a lot of barrels.
- 2:38Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:38Speaker 2: On top of what Biden released out of there.
- 2:41Speaker 3: And it'll continue on as long as this goes on.
- 2:44Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 2:46Speaker 3: I recommend everybody put away a little food and water
- 2:48Speaker 3: and supplies in case of shortages, gas and wind shortages.
- 2:52Speaker 2: All right.
- 2:53Speaker 1: All right. Thank you, my friend. Appreciate it. You're on
- 2:56Speaker 1: the air on News Radio 570.
- 2:58Speaker 3: Hello.
- 2:59Speaker 6: Yes, hi, Ron. How you doing?
- 3:01Speaker 7: Good.
- 3:01Speaker 6: I've got three quick things here to talk about. Did
- 3:04Speaker 6: you happen to listen to Billy Cunningham Sunday, his program,
- 3:08Speaker 6: the last half hour?
- 3:10Speaker 1: Normally I would, but I was watching the Cavs get massacred.
- 3:14Speaker 6: Oh, yeah, the Cavs. Great series. But Billy had a
- 3:19Speaker 6: guest on. She's an Indian legal political analyst on TV.
- 3:23Speaker 6: Fox News and Newsmax. Her name is Mika Cook, C-O-O-K-E.
- 3:30Speaker 6: And she talked about Governor DeWine in the great state
- 3:33Speaker 6: of Ohio, in Columbus, Ohio, and the Somalians. She's been
- 3:37Speaker 6: covering the fraud situation for the last year in Columbus.
- 3:43Speaker 6: She's got a ton of evidence that she submitted to
- 3:47Speaker 6: our illustrious governor, and she never heard back from him.
- 3:52Speaker 6: Then she contacted the Attorney General, and the Attorney General
- 3:57Speaker 6: threatened her with legal action.
- 4:00Speaker 1: Oh, wait a second. I did hear this last night.
- 4:03Speaker 1: Start from the top. I was very intrigued by this.
- 4:07Speaker 1: I wish... Give this report, folks. Listen to what this
- 4:10Speaker 1: guy's saying. I heard this on Cunningham's show last night.
- 4:12Speaker 1: I did hear this. Go ahead.
- 4:14Speaker 6: Yes, Ohio's, I think, the second state after... after California
- 4:20Speaker 6: for fraud. And Governor DeWine, for some reason, refuses to
- 4:27Speaker 6: look into it. Our old Attorney General refused to look
- 4:31Speaker 6: into it. I don't know if the new guy is
- 4:32Speaker 6: going to do anything. But she's been covering... It's the
- 4:36Speaker 6: Somalian population in Columbus where they have... They've been... Massive
- 4:42Speaker 6: fraud with Medicare, Medicaid, and... It's the, especially the program,
- 4:49Speaker 6: if you can take care of your family members at home,
- 4:52Speaker 6: you'll be getting paid.
- 4:54Speaker 5: Right.
- 4:55Speaker 6: And anyway, they falsify documents. It doesn't take much to
- 4:58Speaker 6: falsify it. And then she brought up the politicians in Ohio.
- 5:03Speaker 6: She said there are three scenarios. They're either incompetent. stupid
- 5:12Speaker 6: or they're crooked. And she believes it's probably all three.
- 5:17Speaker 6: And I can't believe that Cunningham was agreeing with her. And,
- 5:21Speaker 6: you know, he followed the cases, too. And I said, oh,
- 5:25Speaker 6: that's Governor DeWine. I said, I remember Governor DeWine and
- 5:31Speaker 6: Fran during the lockdowns, they would come out every day
- 5:34Speaker 6: and Fran would have the cookie recipes for us. That
- 5:38Speaker 6: was the solution to COVID.
- 5:40Speaker 1: But, uh, This was an interesting interview last night, and
- 5:46Speaker 1: I wish I could replay that because it was eye-opening. Basically,
- 5:50Speaker 1: they're saying– I think it was second to Minnesota, if
- 5:54Speaker 1: I'm not mistaken. California is in there too, but we
- 5:58Speaker 1: have the second largest population of Somalians next to Minnesota
- 6:03Speaker 1: in Ohio, and that the fraud– what you see, for example–
- 6:09Speaker 1: They would get people to say that they were doing
- 6:13Speaker 1: home care for someone, and there was no follow-up on
- 6:17Speaker 1: it to find out if that was legit or not.
- 6:20Speaker 1: And then the person would get reimbursed, and someone would
- 6:24Speaker 1: be kicked back to the fraudsters.
- 6:27Speaker 2: Am I correct on that?
- 6:28Speaker 6: Yes, and they also have companies set up. If you
- 6:30Speaker 6: go down a street in Columbus..
- 6:33Speaker 1: Uh..
- 6:33Speaker 6: You know like a quarter-mile strip there are like thirty.
- 6:37Speaker 1: Five of them in one building i think they said.
- 6:39Speaker 6: One building and there's no one there and there's no
- 6:42Speaker 6: no one's doing audits no one cares and like she
- 6:47Speaker 6: said she would you know tried to contact the governor
- 6:50Speaker 6: had all the evidence and then when she went to
- 6:53Speaker 6: the attorney general they threatened her with a subpoena so
- 6:56Speaker 6: i don't know if she backed off but um..
- 6:59Speaker 2: I wonder i i i wonder if that's why yost quit.
- 7:04Speaker 6: You know, I hate to say it. There's a lot
- 7:07Speaker 6: of fraud. If you go back to the first energy
- 7:11Speaker 6: fraud with the governor and the Republican Party and the
- 7:13Speaker 6: state Senate, it's not just Democrats. It's everybody. They're all,
- 7:19Speaker 6: you know.
- 7:19Speaker 1: Oh, I think it's a big problem here in the
- 7:22Speaker 1: state of Ohio. I mean, she was talking with Cunningham
- 7:24Speaker 1: about it starts with DeWine. It goes to the attorney general.
- 7:28Speaker 1: It goes to the auditor. And it goes to the
- 7:30Speaker 1: lack of looking into it when it was brought to
- 7:34Speaker 1: their attention, too. And the fraud, you're talking millions, if
- 7:38Speaker 1: not billions of dollars in Ohio, of downright theft. You're
- 7:43Speaker 1: talking people that came here and have stolen more money
- 7:47Speaker 1: than you'll ever make working in your lifetime and paying
- 7:50Speaker 1: all these taxes. And these politicians are looking the other
- 7:54Speaker 1: way out of total incompetence in Ohio.
- 7:57Speaker 2: And we're talking Republicans.
- 7:59Speaker 6: Either looking the other way or she implied they might
- 8:01Speaker 6: be getting kicked back somehow. But I just wondered what
- 8:06Speaker 6: our Congress people, like Joyce or Rui, if they have
- 8:10Speaker 6: any opinion on the fraud.
- 8:12Speaker 1: I don't really care much about their opinion on it.
- 8:14Speaker 1: I care more about what Dave Thomas has to say
- 8:16Speaker 1: as a state representative. It's a state issue, and what
- 8:20Speaker 1: matters most is what the state people are doing about it.
- 8:26Speaker 1: It's an absolute sin. the millions of your tax dollars.
- 8:30Speaker 1: It jeopardizes, would you not agree, the health of these
- 8:33Speaker 1: programs for Medicaid and Medicare?
- 8:35Speaker 6: Yeah, for the people that really need it.
- 8:37Speaker 2: Right.
- 8:37Speaker 6: We have a lot of people that really need it.
- 8:39Speaker 6: We have homeless veterans.
- 8:42Speaker 2: Well, let me put it this way.
- 8:44Speaker 1: I'm not opposed to if you're sick and your wife
- 8:47Speaker 1: quits her job to take care of you because you
- 8:49Speaker 1: have some issue and you can stay in your home
- 8:52Speaker 1: and your wife can take care of it. I have
- 8:54Speaker 1: no problem with her being reimbursed through Medicaid or Medicare,
- 8:58Speaker 1: you follow me? I mean, if it keeps you out
- 9:00Speaker 1: of the nursing home, that's okay with me. But it
- 9:02Speaker 1: should be followed up and verified, and there should be
- 9:06Speaker 1: continued observation, or there should be visits to make sure
- 9:11Speaker 1: the care is being given is up to standard and worthwhile.
- 9:16Speaker 6: Yeah, that's why it was set up. To keep people
- 9:18Speaker 6: in their own homes, have the family member take care
- 9:21Speaker 6: of them, it would save the state and the federal
- 9:24Speaker 6: government a lot more than if they went into a
- 9:26Speaker 6: nursing home.
- 9:26Speaker 1: Right.
- 9:27Speaker 6: But unfortunately, they found a loophole. The Somalians, thanks to DeWine,
- 9:35Speaker 6: we've got the Haitians in Springfield and the Somalians in Columbus.
- 9:40Speaker 6: And they're very good at fraud.
- 9:43Speaker 1: I said you're right. Was that eye-opening or what? It's
- 9:48Speaker 1: so damn disappointing on how much of your tax dollars
- 9:51Speaker 1: are being fraudulently stolen by these groups. And when it's
- 9:55Speaker 1: brought to the attention... What a disappointment DeWine is, and frankly,
- 9:59Speaker 1: the Republicans. that didn't do anything about it, just like
- 10:02Speaker 1: in Minnesota with Tampon Tim, you're talking billions of tax
- 10:07Speaker 1: dollars jeopardizing the health of these programs. And it's a
- 10:10Speaker 1: sin to people that genuinely need that assistance because of
- 10:14Speaker 1: Alzheimer's or because of ALS or any number of different situations.
- 10:20Speaker 6: Exactly.
- 10:21Speaker 2: Where's the follow-up? Where's the follow-through? Where's the inspections?
- 10:27Speaker 6: She came up with a $ 1. 5 billion that she personally
- 10:31Speaker 6: has evidence of the fraud.
- 10:33Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 10:34Speaker 6: And she thought that, you know, at least the Attorney
- 10:36Speaker 6: General would look into it. No, did not want to
- 10:40Speaker 6: even get involved. I just had it on for a minute,
- 10:42Speaker 6: and I said, let me listen to this lady. This
- 10:44Speaker 6: is fascinating. Yeah. That was his last guest of the night,
- 10:49Speaker 6: but it was pretty good.
- 10:50Speaker 2: I did hear that.
- 10:51Speaker 6: I wanted to bring up, since we have beautiful weather
- 10:54Speaker 6: out there and everybody's out looking up at the sky,
- 10:56Speaker 6: I just wondered if anybody notices the new cloud formations
- 11:00Speaker 6: that we've been having with the crisscross, high-altitude spraying.
- 11:04Speaker 1: I have not.
- 11:06Speaker 6: A lot of people don't. There's only probably 5% of
- 11:10Speaker 6: the population look up. Everybody's looking at their phone. But
- 11:14Speaker 6: there's an Israeli company called Stardust Solutions. that has the
- 11:19Speaker 6: high-altitude spraying contract, and it's basically to block out the
- 11:25Speaker 6: sun for global warming. Believe it or not, they have U.S. contracts,
- 11:31Speaker 6: and they have lobbyists in Washington.
- 11:33Speaker 2: What are they spraying?
- 11:35Speaker 6: They're spraying non-sulfate aerosols. They're spraying amorphous silicate and calcium carbonate.
- 11:45Speaker 6: And our microaluminum, what it does, it's dispersed into the stratosphere.
- 11:50Speaker 6: It reflects the sunlight, and it actually cools things off.
- 11:55Speaker 6: Not to be confused with contrails coming out of a
- 11:58Speaker 6: jet plane, which is water vapor. If you look up
- 12:02Speaker 6: and you see these big, white, long, 10, 20 miles
- 12:06Speaker 6: of cloud formations, and I'm always surprised that our weather
- 12:10Speaker 6: people talk about the clouds and the the weather all
- 12:13Speaker 6: the time that they'd never mention these new formations. And
- 12:16Speaker 6: you see them in a crisscross, tic-tac-toe-type formation when they spray.
- 12:23Speaker 6: And I brought it up to a couple people, and
- 12:25Speaker 6: everybody's starting to notice it now.
- 12:28Speaker 1: And you're saying way above, just below the clouds or
- 12:33Speaker 1: way up?
- 12:33Speaker 6: Well, most of them are high altitude. the one that
- 12:39Speaker 6: Stardust Solutions sprays.
- 12:41Speaker 1: Well, where did you ever hear about the Stardust Solutions?
- 12:45Speaker 1: Read this.
- 12:46Speaker 6: Tucker Carlson did a show on it on geoengineering about
- 12:52Speaker 6: six months ago, and I brought it up to G2,
- 12:55Speaker 6: and he heard of it, but he didn't watch that segment.
- 12:58Speaker 6: And I think the guy's name is Dane Whittington, is
- 13:01Speaker 6: the expert on... The high-altitude spraying. But it was a fascinating... Tucker,
- 13:07Speaker 6: you can go back in the archives on Twitter or
- 13:11Speaker 6: X and pull it up. But I can't believe that
- 13:15Speaker 6: most people don't notice it. And it dissipates during the day.
- 13:19Speaker 6: And then you notice that cloudy... Everything's always cloudy. You
- 13:22Speaker 6: never see the beautiful blue sky anymore with the big
- 13:25Speaker 6: puffy white clouds anymore.
- 13:27Speaker 1: Yeah, but isn't that the nature of the beast around here?
- 13:29Speaker 1: I mean, you know, we're known for our cloudy skies.
- 13:34Speaker 1: Isn't that why they say they built that station? What
- 13:39Speaker 1: was it, out in Ravenna or whatever? Because of the
- 13:42Speaker 1: cloud cover that we have here. Aren't we known for,
- 13:46Speaker 1: as Florida's known as a sunshine state, aren't we known
- 13:49Speaker 1: as the cloudy area here?
- 13:51Speaker 6: Yes, we are. My dad was from Lowell up by Boston,
- 13:54Speaker 6: and when he relocated to Ohio at That was his
- 13:57Speaker 6: big complaint, was the clouds in this area. Never saw
- 14:01Speaker 6: the sunshine. And getting back to my dad, he fought
- 14:05Speaker 6: Memorial Day. He was in the Battle of the Bulge.
- 14:08Speaker 6: And he passed away when I was 15, but I
- 14:11Speaker 6: could never remember him. He was a veteran, combat veteran
- 14:14Speaker 6: from World War II. Saw a lot of combat in France, Germany.
- 14:20Speaker 6: And he never talked about the military, never talked about
- 14:24Speaker 6: the war. And I heard that guy about putting flags up.
- 14:27Speaker 6: And it was the only thing he would tell us
- 14:30Speaker 6: when we were little kids. He would always go, Schnell, Schnell,
- 14:33Speaker 6: you know, to get in the car, hurry up. He
- 14:35Speaker 6: would kid us. That was the only reference to World
- 14:37Speaker 6: War II that I ever heard out of my dad.
- 14:40Speaker 6: And my sister has all of his medals. She has
- 14:43Speaker 6: it framed in a glass case. But you don't have
- 14:49Speaker 6: to put a flag up to, you know, respect our veterans.
- 14:53Speaker 6: And if people want to have a family gathering on
- 14:56Speaker 6: Memorial Day, you know, lighten up. It's okay.
- 14:59Speaker 2: All right.
- 14:59Speaker 1: I mean, listen, I think people are thankful for their
- 15:02Speaker 1: freedom and certainly thankful for those folks that served in
- 15:06Speaker 1: the military, whether they're within their family or not. And
- 15:10Speaker 1: then they enjoy the day. I mean, with their family
- 15:14Speaker 1: and friends and freedom and potato salad. Right.
- 15:19Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 15:19Speaker 6: And if you ever notice, go out the next couple
- 15:22Speaker 6: of weeks, look up at the sky and see if
- 15:24Speaker 6: you notice those planes spraying. You'll be surprised.
- 15:28Speaker 1: I don't like to look up because usually there's a
- 15:29Speaker 1: pigeon somewhere close. And when I look up, you never
- 15:32Speaker 1: know what could happen.
- 15:33Speaker 6: You worry about the pigeons and this new, what are
- 15:36Speaker 6: the new ticks with the Lone Star ticks?
- 15:38Speaker 1: I think that was manufactured, don't you? Stand by. Hang
- 15:45Speaker 1: on a minute. I want to come back to you
- 15:47Speaker 1: on that issue. I want to talk to him about that.
- 15:48Speaker 1: Back in a minute.
- 15:50Speaker 2: Listen to 570 WKBN.
- 15:53Speaker 1: Ron Verbans, you're on. Let me hang on. I want
- 15:55Speaker 1: to go back to this guy. Wait a second. So, no,
- 16:00Speaker 1: you were talking about these ticks. I was just talking
- 16:04Speaker 1: to a friend of mine who said he knows a guy.
- 16:06Speaker 1: He knows a guy. He got bit. He was out
- 16:09Speaker 1: walking in sandals, okay? And he got bit by a tick.
- 16:13Speaker 1: Not a tick.
- 16:14Speaker 2: He got bit weird by a brown recluse spider.
- 16:18Speaker 6: I was bitten by a brown recluse a year ago,
- 16:21Speaker 6: ended up in a hospital for five days, Ron.
- 16:24Speaker 1: Well, this guy, they had to cut some toes off
- 16:27Speaker 1: because of the situation. So as I understand, he went
- 16:32Speaker 1: to the emergency room and then he went to his
- 16:35Speaker 1: family doctor and then you go to the infectious disease
- 16:38Speaker 1: guys and said, okay, this is what your problem is.
- 16:39Speaker 2: But by then it had spread. So you were bit
- 16:41Speaker 2: by one?
- 16:42Speaker 6: Yes, this was a year ago, and end of March,
- 16:46Speaker 6: beginning of April, I was working outside. I went to
- 16:48Speaker 6: my garage where I have my work boots, put my
- 16:51Speaker 6: work boots on, and I was bitten on the toe,
- 16:54Speaker 6: and went to the ER, urgent care, and the doctor
- 16:59Speaker 6: gave me an antibiotic for it. Long story short, at
- 17:03Speaker 6: three days, it got worse. It swelled up, so I
- 17:06Speaker 6: went down to the main ER, in Youngstown, and they
- 17:09Speaker 6: admitted me right away and put me on intravenous IVs
- 17:13Speaker 6: of antibiotics. And I was in for five days. They
- 17:17Speaker 6: did a drainage surgery on my toe, did blood cultures,
- 17:21Speaker 6: but it developed into cellulitis. And it was lucky that
- 17:26Speaker 6: I didn't have to have the toe cut off, but
- 17:29Speaker 6: everything's fine now. First time I've heard people being bitten
- 17:33Speaker 6: by spiders, but it never happened to me.
- 17:36Speaker 1: But from having your shoes in the garage?
- 17:39Speaker 6: My work boots, yes. And evidently the spider crawled into
- 17:43Speaker 6: the boot, and it was like an electrical shock when
- 17:47Speaker 6: I got bit, and boy. But did you go to.
- 17:52Speaker 1: The doctor then right away?
- 17:53Speaker 6: Yeah, I went to urgent care, and they prescribed an
- 17:57Speaker 6: oral antibiotic, which didn't do the trick. It wasn't strong enough.
- 18:01Speaker 6: So after about, oh, it was like three days to
- 18:04Speaker 6: five days, it started swelling on the toe, and the
- 18:08Speaker 6: foot started swelling. It turned into cellulitis. Then I went
- 18:11Speaker 6: to ER, and they admitted me.
- 18:14Speaker 1: You're lucky you didn't lose your foot.
- 18:16Speaker 6: Yes, but everything's fine now, back to normal. They did
- 18:20Speaker 6: a good job at saying ease, but they're infection control people.
- 18:25Speaker 6: Getting back to this tick. That Lone Star tick was
- 18:28Speaker 6: on the local news last night. I don't know if
- 18:31Speaker 6: it was Channel 27 or 21. They talked about it.
- 18:34Speaker 6: It's in southern Ohio, Cincinnati. And this tick, most ticks
- 18:40Speaker 6: wait on vegetation to bite you or jump on you.
- 18:45Speaker 6: But these Lone Star ticks are aggressive. They actually crawl
- 18:50Speaker 6: towards their host rather rapidly. And if they bite you,
- 18:54Speaker 6: They have the alpha-gal syndrome. They can spread to your
- 18:58Speaker 6: immune response. It's a sugar molecule. And what it does,
- 19:03Speaker 6: you develop a..
- 19:05Speaker 2: Allergy to meat.
- 19:06Speaker 6: Yes, red meat, beef, pork, lamb, and dairy. And I
- 19:10Speaker 6: got a kick out of the doctor last night on
- 19:12Speaker 6: the news show saying that, well, we don't know how
- 19:15Speaker 6: long that allergy will last, and it might go away.
- 19:20Speaker 2: But it's not.
- 19:21Speaker 6: Multiple times it might not go away. And I go, wow,
- 19:24Speaker 6: this is a pretty big.
- 19:25Speaker 2: Yeah, I got to scoot. Appreciate it.
- 19:28Speaker 3: Okay, Ron.
- 19:29Speaker 1: Thank you. Guardians pregame coming up.
- 19:33Speaker 2: At Progressive Field.
- 19:35Speaker 4: And we'll visit with Guardians reliever Hunter Gaddis coming up
- 19:38Speaker 4: on Guardians Warm-Up.
- 19:42Speaker 2: This is Cleveland Guardians Baseball. The Guardians Warm-Up Show is
- 19:47Speaker 2: brought to you by Cleveland Clinic. For everyone, everywhere, for
- 19:52Speaker 2: every care in the world. By Progressive. Bundle home and
- 19:56Speaker 2: auto and save at Progressive.com. By Bet365. Where winning is everything.
- 20:04Speaker 8: Stadium GM, West State Street in Salem. Valentine Roofing by
- 20:09Speaker 8: Bernard Daniels Lumber and Home Center and by Elite Pharmacy.
- 20:34Speaker 3: Good evening, everyone.
- 20:35Speaker 4: Welcome to the Bet365 Guardians warm-up show. Tonight, we join
- 20:40Speaker 4: you from Progressive Field, downtown Cleveland. Guardians taking on the
- 20:44Speaker 4: Washington Nationals in Game 2 of this three-game series. Jim
- 20:48Speaker 4: Rosenhouse along with you on a good baseball night downtown.
- 20:52Speaker 4: As the weather has broken and it's warming up a
- 20:55Speaker 4: little bit, we actually saw some sunshine today.
- 20:58Speaker 2: We haven't seen a whole lot.
- 21:00Speaker 4: Of that in recent days, Jim. whether it's been here
- 21:03Speaker 4: in Cleveland or on the road. Guardians trying to bounce
- 21:05Speaker 4: back from that 10-2 loss last night. They're still in
- 21:09Speaker 4: first place in the AL Central, three and a half
- 21:11Speaker 4: up on the White Sox. Meanwhile, Washington, a game over
- 21:15Speaker 4: the 500 mark, one of the surprise teams in baseball
- 21:18Speaker 4: so far. They're in second place behind Atlanta in the
- 21:21Speaker 4: National League East.
- 21:23Speaker 2: Stay tuned. We'll have more to come after this.
- 21:31Speaker 4: Welcome back to the Bet365 Guardians warm-up show. The Guardians
- 21:39Speaker 4: and Nationals getting ready for Game 2 of the series
- 21:41Speaker 4: after a 10-2 victory for Washington last night. The bullpen, though,
- 21:46Speaker 4: covered the last five innings, allowing just one earned run.
- 21:50Speaker 4: And since April 18th, Guardians continue in that bullpen to
- 21:54Speaker 4: have the lowest team ERA bullpen-wise in the major leagues.
- 21:59Speaker 4: And part of that, Hunter Gaddis. He's been terrific of late,
- 22:02Speaker 4: and we'll visit with him next on the Cleveland Clinic
- 22:05Speaker 4: Radio Network.
- 22:07Speaker 5: Here's the Bet365 Minute, where winning is everything, with Scott Davidson.
- 22:11Speaker 9: Let's take a peek at the numbers tonight. The Guardians,
- 22:13Speaker 9: a slight favorite. They're minus $ 1. 30 over the Nats, and
- 22:16Speaker 9: the total is 7.5. And to a play I like tonight,
- 22:19Speaker 9: after the Rangers got no hit in a combined effort
- 22:22Speaker 9: by Houston yesterday, I'm going to use them tonight on
- 22:25Speaker 9: the money line.
- 22:26Speaker 1: Now, I like backing a line.
- 22:27Speaker 9: Up the very next game after getting no hit. Especially
- 22:29Speaker 9: when the no-no was a combined effort that forced a
- 22:32Speaker 9: team like Houston to lean on their entire bullpen. Now,
- 22:35Speaker 9: Texas has also gone, get this, 7-2 at home since
- 22:38Speaker 9: 2025 in games following a shutout loss.
- 22:41Speaker 1: You put all those things together.
- 22:43Speaker 9: I like the Rangers to get it done on the
- 22:45Speaker 9: money line today over the Astros. Now, you can join
- 22:48Speaker 9: me there when you download the Bet365 app. Remember, you
- 22:50Speaker 9: bet this or any money line all season long, your
- 22:53Speaker 9: team goes up by five runs or more. You win
- 22:55Speaker 9: even if they don't. It's the MLB Early Payout. Terms
- 22:57Speaker 9: and conditions apply. And that's the Bet365 Minute. I'm Scott Davidson.

- 23:02Speaker 1: Call 1-800-MY-RESET. 21 plus only. Must be physically located in Ohio.
- 23:16Speaker 2: The pitch. And he banks one on the ground to third. Premieres, gloves, sets, throws.
- 23:22Speaker 2: And a 1-2-3 inning for Hunter Gaddis. Now the 0-1 pitch.
- 23:27Speaker 2: Swing and a chopper. Headed to first. Shoulder high hop
- 23:30Speaker 2: handle by Manzardo. Runs to the bag to get McKinstry.
- 23:34Speaker 2: And a heck of a job by Hunter Gaddis. Here's
- 23:37Speaker 2: the 1-2 offering. Swing and a miss! Struck it out
- 23:42Speaker 2: with a heave. What an outing for Hunter Gaddis.
- 23:47Speaker 4: Welcome back to the Bet365 Guardians warm-up show. We're in
- 23:50Speaker 4: downtown Cleveland. Guardians getting ready to take on the Nationals.
- 23:54Speaker 4: Hunter Gattis has once again become a big key in
- 23:56Speaker 4: that Guardians bullpen. Last six games for Gattis. Six in
- 24:00Speaker 4: the third innings. He has a win, a save, and
- 24:04Speaker 4: his specialty, three holds in that setup role. Getting Kate
- 24:08Speaker 4: Smith to the ninth inning with a chance to save it.
- 24:11Speaker 4: And when we caught up with Gattis recently, we talked
- 24:14Speaker 4: about his start to the season. A spring training that
- 24:18Speaker 4: was slowed due to injury and missing the first two
- 24:21Speaker 4: weeks of the year as well with that same tenderness
- 24:24Speaker 4: in his right forearm, but came back healthy, and now
- 24:28Speaker 4: things are really falling into place, and we asked him
- 24:30Speaker 4: how it feels to be pitching well after missing the time.
- 24:34Speaker 2: It felt really good.
- 24:36Speaker 10: Not opening up with the team definitely sucked, but it
- 24:38Speaker 10: was good to stay back, build up to 100% to
- 24:42Speaker 10: be able to come here and be at my best
- 24:44Speaker 10: when I show up.
- 24:45Speaker 4: What is the hardest part sometimes if you do have
- 24:47Speaker 4: a setback where you're not available for.
- 24:50Speaker 2: A little bit?
- 24:51Speaker 10: The hardest thing for me was just the want to
- 24:53Speaker 10: be there with the guys. I mean, preparing and all that,
- 24:57Speaker 10: I feel like it's the same, but just the want
- 24:59Speaker 10: to be with the guys on the road and, you know,
- 25:02Speaker 10: that every game was pretty hard.
- 25:04Speaker 4: And do you watch games and think, well, that's my
- 25:06Speaker 4: inning or, you know, that's where I could really help?
- 25:09Speaker 4: Or is that something you try not to do?
- 25:11Speaker 10: No, I didn't think about it like that. I mean,
- 25:12Speaker 10: I watched every game and wanted them to win and
- 25:14Speaker 10: succeed as much as they could. I wasn't really worried
- 25:18Speaker 10: about anything, if I was there or not, but I
- 25:21Speaker 10: just wanted them to win.
- 25:22Speaker 4: Since you've been back, like you mentioned, everything's feeling good.
- 25:27Speaker 4: Any pitches in particular really working well for you that
- 25:29Speaker 4: maybe is a surprise because it's this early in the
- 25:31Speaker 4: season for you?
- 25:33Speaker 10: No, everything feels good. Mechanics felt really good. I worked
- 25:36Speaker 10: with them while I was going through my rehab. just
- 25:39Speaker 10: trying to dial those in. And I feel like I'm
- 25:41Speaker 10: in a good spot and just trying to stay there.
- 25:43Speaker 10: You know, pitches feel about the same as they always
- 25:45Speaker 10: have to a certain degree and just trying to ride
- 25:47Speaker 10: with it.
- 25:48Speaker 4: And nobody wants a setback where they miss time and
- 25:52Speaker 4: you may not even look at it this way, but
- 25:54Speaker 4: do you feel like maybe starting a little bit later
- 25:57Speaker 4: might help you at the back end, especially considering the
- 26:01Speaker 4: amount of activity you've had the last couple of years?
- 26:04Speaker 2: I mean, maybe.
- 26:05Speaker 10: I mean, I guess that may just be time will tell. But,
- 26:08Speaker 10: I mean, I was still doing rehab, you know, still throwing.
- 26:13Speaker 10: Maybe not the same amount, but close to it. And
- 26:16Speaker 10: we'll just have to see.
- 26:17Speaker 4: And the bullpen as a unit, it changes every year.
- 26:21Speaker 4: What have you seen down there this year that's encouraging
- 26:24Speaker 4: and then maybe some things that you're looking at to
- 26:28Speaker 4: really move forward as it goes deeper into the season?
- 26:31Speaker 2: I mean, I feel like it's the same.
- 26:33Speaker 10: You know, it's been the past two years. We still
- 26:36Speaker 10: have a good– group of core guys that have been
- 26:38Speaker 10: here for the past couple years. Whoever comes in, it
- 26:41Speaker 10: seems like they know how to pick some good people
- 26:43Speaker 10: because we're having good vibes down there. When our name's called,
- 26:48Speaker 10: it seems like everybody's on board with them and, hey,
- 26:49Speaker 10: let's ride.
- 26:51Speaker 2: You mentioned the good vibes.
- 26:52Speaker 4: Does it take a little bit to kind of get
- 26:54Speaker 4: to know some new guys and get them in the
- 26:56Speaker 4: mix in terms of how you pass the time down
- 26:59Speaker 4: there while you're waiting for your turn to pitch?
- 27:01Speaker 10: No, I feel like once you're in the bullpen... I
- 27:04Speaker 10: may not even know you at all, but we're still
- 27:06Speaker 10: going to have fun. It picks up very quick.
- 27:09Speaker 4: And in terms of the returnees, who do you look
- 27:12Speaker 4: forward to seeing the most down there to maybe give
- 27:15Speaker 4: a hard time to or joke around with?
- 27:17Speaker 2: Definitely Tim Herron.
- 27:18Speaker 1: Tim Herron, out goes.
- 27:20Speaker 10: He's just a lefty, you know. I just got to
- 27:22Speaker 10: give him crap.
- 27:23Speaker 2: Fair enough.
- 27:24Speaker 4: Hey, Hunter, good to see you. Thanks for coming by.
- 27:26Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 27:26Speaker 2: I appreciate it.
- 27:27Speaker 4: That's Hunter Gattis.
- 27:28Speaker 2: Stay tuned.
- 27:28Speaker 4: More to come after this.
- 27:30Speaker 11: Progressive knows sports brings people together. But you've got to
- 27:32Speaker 11: feel bad for people who don't even get it. Some
- 27:35Speaker 11: people will never know what it's like to see their
- 27:37Speaker 11: favorite team's hopes decided by a ping pong ball to
- 27:39Speaker 11: draft the next superstar.
- 27:41Speaker 3: Or not.
- 27:43Speaker 11: I mean, sure, it's silly for your happiness to hinge
- 27:45Speaker 11: on the success of a 20-year-old entry-level employee. But you
- 27:47Speaker 11: just can't help yourself. The stress is exhilarating. Progressive can't
- 27:51Speaker 11: bring people together like the draft, but we can bring
- 27:53Speaker 11: your home and auto insurance together with a bundle. So

- 28:00Speaker 12: Recently, our company's softball team lost the big game by
- 28:04Speaker 12: one run. Then Dale tried to console us with the quote,
- 28:07Speaker 12: winning isn't everything.
- 28:09Speaker 2: Dale's a loser. I play to win, like early payout
- 28:12Speaker 2: from Bet365.
- 28:13Speaker 12: If my team goes up big, I get paid out instantly,
- 28:16Speaker 12: even if they blow the lead later. Sound familiar, Dale?

- 29:33Speaker 4: Welcome back to the Beth 365 Guardians warm-up show. We're
- 29:37Speaker 4: at Progressive Field in downtown Cleveland. Game two of the
- 29:40Speaker 4: series between the Guardians and the Nationals and it's time
- 29:43Speaker 4: now to check in with WKYC for our pregame weather.
- 29:47Speaker 4: It's presented by Shores and Islands Ohio.
- 29:49Speaker 14: We'll have a lot of cloud cover around through the
- 29:51Speaker 14: evening and over in eight hours. Chance for a couple
- 29:53Speaker 14: of brief showers especially for areas further south later tonight
- 29:57Speaker 14: and into the first half or so of Wednesday. From
- 30:00Speaker 14: there we do try to dry out. Still going to
- 30:02Speaker 14: be very warm with Highs near 80 degrees through the afternoon.
- 30:06Speaker 14: In the 3 News Weather Center, I'm meteorologist Jessica Van Meter.
- 30:09Speaker 4: When we come back, Tom Hamilton checks in with manager
- 30:12Speaker 4: Stephen Vogt, the Key Bank Manager Show, next.
- 30:23Speaker 2: Hi again, everybody. With Cleveland manager Stephen Vogt, this is
- 30:26Speaker 2: Tom Hamilton.
- 30:27Speaker 1: Welcome.
- 30:28Speaker 2: It's the Manager Show, and it's brought to you by
- 30:31Speaker 2: Key Bank. You can't pitch any better than you did
- 30:33Speaker 2: for that week in Detroit and Philadelphia. You have ball
- 30:37Speaker 2: games like last night every once in a while.
- 30:39Speaker 1: Yeah, you do.
- 30:40Speaker 16: And then obviously Tanner five days ago goes out and
- 30:42Speaker 16: goes eight innings, one run against the Tigers. And last
- 30:45Speaker 16: night wasn't his night. He made some mistakes and they
- 30:47Speaker 16: made him pay for it. And that's really the story
- 30:49Speaker 16: of the game last night was Tanner made five mistakes
- 30:52Speaker 16: early in the game and they didn't miss.
- 30:54Speaker 1: One of them.
- 30:55Speaker 16: But we know he's going to bounce back. We know
- 30:57Speaker 16: we're going to get better from him moving forward and
- 30:59Speaker 16: he's going to learn from it.
- 31:00Speaker 2: So when you're sitting up in a booth and you
- 31:02Speaker 2: don't really know because you didn't play the game like
- 31:04Speaker 2: you did at this level, you start guessing. Is he
- 31:07Speaker 2: tipping his pitches? They seem like they know what's coming.
- 31:11Speaker 2: They aren't flinching on a curve, on a change. Anything
- 31:14Speaker 2: like that?
- 31:15Speaker 16: Sometimes you wonder, but then when you look at Tanner,
- 31:17Speaker 16: he's knock on wood, but rarely had tipping issues if ever.
- 31:21Speaker 16: And honestly, that's usually what you go to.
- 31:25Speaker 2: Oh, what's going on? But when you look at the video,
- 31:27Speaker 2: the pitches are middle and that happens and that's okay.
- 31:30Speaker 16: We don't want it to happen, but it does.
- 31:33Speaker 1: And guess what?
- 31:34Speaker 16: The hitters on the other side, they're pretty good too.
- 31:36Speaker 16: And sometimes I think we run to tipping because we
- 31:38Speaker 16: don't want to admit that maybe we.
- 31:40Speaker 2: Didn't pitch as well as we normally did. But that's okay.
- 31:42Speaker 16: It doesn't mean that Tanner's not good. It doesn't mean
- 31:44Speaker 16: that he's going to have another one like that. It
- 31:46Speaker 16: just means that it wasn't his night and they got him.
- 31:49Speaker 16: Is not having had a win getting to him at all?
- 31:52Speaker 16: Because to your point, against Detroit, he was flat out dominant.
- 31:57Speaker 16: What happens when he has a night like last night?
- 31:59Speaker 16: I think it's just that you have to learn from it.
- 32:02Speaker 16: You have to look back, okay, what did I feel?
- 32:03Speaker 16: What was going on? What were my pitches doing? What
- 32:06Speaker 16: was I doing differently? How did my body feel?
- 32:09Speaker 2: It happens.
- 32:10Speaker 16: You make 32 starts in a year, you're going to
- 32:12Speaker 16: have a couple of them where you just don't have it,
- 32:14Speaker 16: and that's the truth. But the whole win-loss record thing,
- 32:17Speaker 16: I think, gets blown out of proportion. We don't care
- 32:20Speaker 16: what our pitchers' records are. All we care about is
- 32:23Speaker 16: you go out and have a quality outing, and Tanner's
- 32:25Speaker 16: done that more often than not this year.
- 32:27Speaker 2: At least from where we sit. James Wood is bigger
- 32:30Speaker 2: than 6'6, 250. He looks like he's Paul Bunyan. How
- 32:35Speaker 2: impressive is he field level?
- 32:37Speaker 16: Yeah, I mean, he's a big guy. I mean, he
- 32:39Speaker 16: reminds me of Richie Sexton from the left side. I mean,
- 32:41Speaker 16: that's how big he looks in the box, but he's
- 32:44Speaker 16: a really good hitter. Obviously, he's got the power, but
- 32:48Speaker 16: that's a really, really, really good player.
- 32:50Speaker 2: Well, and then C.J. Abrams, kind of his counterpart. They're
- 32:53Speaker 2: about the same age. They both are going to be
- 32:56Speaker 2: all-stars to shortstop. I mean, There aren't too many ball
- 32:59Speaker 2: clubs with two young hitters that critically important to a
- 33:03Speaker 2: ball club that are producing.
- 33:04Speaker 16: Yeah, no, they're both, they're two of the best hitters
- 33:07Speaker 16: in the National League right now for sure.
- 33:08Speaker 2: And they're doing it.
- 33:10Speaker 16: And they've got some really nice, you know, complimentary pieces
- 33:13Speaker 16: to go along with them. They got some really good
- 33:14Speaker 16: position players over there. And again, they jumped us last
- 33:18Speaker 16: night and didn't allow us to get back into the game.
- 33:19Speaker 16: Now it's our turn tonight to jump them. How about
- 33:21Speaker 16: Logan Allen? That was a whale of an effort. And
- 33:24Speaker 16: obviously he gets demoted. I think that's the wrong term.
- 33:29Speaker 16: He's a victim of you need another arm.
- 33:31Speaker 2: Yeah, Logan was outstanding yesterday. It was really good to
- 33:33Speaker 2: see him back with us, too.
- 33:34Speaker 16: I think we've all loved watching Logan pitch over the
- 33:37Speaker 16: last few years.
- 33:38Speaker 2: And you have to make tough decisions.
- 33:40Speaker 16: And the business side of this game can be cruel sometimes.
- 33:42Speaker 16: And when you come up to be a length option
- 33:45Speaker 16: in the bullpen and you use all your pitches, unfortunately,
- 33:48Speaker 16: we need somebody else that has pitches as a length option.
- 33:51Speaker 16: So it was a tough conversation with Logan.
- 33:53Speaker 2: He understands.
- 33:54Speaker 16: He gets it. It doesn't mean it's easy or that
- 33:57Speaker 16: it's fun. But Logan was really good last night. And
- 34:00Speaker 16: like I told him, the way you threw the ball
- 34:01Speaker 16: last night, you're going to get your opportunity to help
- 34:04Speaker 16: us again and stay ready.

- 34:11Speaker 16: So Will is somebody who's got good stuff and he attacks.
- 34:17Speaker 16: I mean, he is not afraid. And you just talk
- 34:20Speaker 16: to him. He's confident. You can tell he just wants
- 34:22Speaker 16: the opportunity. He's chomping at the bit to go test
- 34:25Speaker 16: his abilities against major league hitters. And what a cool
- 34:27Speaker 16: Cool story for the org, for him, for his family.
- 34:30Speaker 16: I know his family's flying in tonight for the game,
