- 0:07Speaker 2: I am on location at the Bottle Rock Festival and
- 0:11Speaker 2: today I have the privilege of interviewing my new friend
- 0:16Speaker 2: Paulie Connall.
- 0:18Speaker 3: I say that Rue, you did a really good job
- 0:20Speaker 3: with that one.
- 0:23Speaker 2: Paulie Connell is in a relationship with the Real Housewives
- 0:26Speaker 2: of New Jersey cast member Delores Catanya. The Lauras and
- 0:30Speaker 2: Paulie have been together since twenty twenty one and has
- 0:33Speaker 2: filmed r HO n J with Delores for two seasons
- 0:38Speaker 2: two years.
- 0:39Speaker 1: I know only shit legendary. I can't wait to get
- 0:42Speaker 1: into this. First of all, paul I just want to
- 0:46Speaker 1: get to know you better.
- 0:47Speaker 2: Where did you grow up? Tell me a little bit
- 0:48Speaker 2: about yourself when you were young.
- 0:51Speaker 3: So I grew up in Irelands, which is yeah, a
- 0:54Speaker 3: lot of away from.
- 0:56Speaker 1: Okay, what's it like growing up in Ireland?
- 0:58Speaker 3: It's cool. It's cool. Yeah, having two kids that grew
- 1:01Speaker 3: up in America and seeing the difference, it's it's cool.
- 1:04Speaker 3: It's it's there's definitely a different diversity there.
- 1:06Speaker 1: What's it like growing up in Ireland? Do you have siblings?
- 1:09Speaker 3: I do have two brothers and a sister over there.
- 1:11Speaker 3: Still we're just there actually a couple of couple of
- 1:15Speaker 3: months ago with time.
- 1:16Speaker 1: Do you go back often?
- 1:17Speaker 3: We do? Yeah, we do. Yeah, we're actually going back
- 1:19Speaker 3: in August for one of my nephew's weddings. Nice. Yeah, trip,
- 1:23Speaker 3: you should come.
- 1:24Speaker 1: I hear Ireland is incredibly beautiful.
- 1:27Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:27Speaker 2: Even my dad took a trip up there and when
- 1:29Speaker 2: he came back, he was like the most beautiful place.
- 1:31Speaker 3: So I think you would like it.
- 1:33Speaker 1: I definitely.
- 1:34Speaker 3: I think they would like you.
- 1:35Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, I don't drink much. I don't know if
- 1:39Speaker 1: they like me.
- 1:40Speaker 3: A good looking guys, so I think you'll do.
- 1:42Speaker 2: Okay, all right, PAULI, I got a couple of questions
- 1:45Speaker 2: for you so that our audience gets to know you better.
- 1:49Speaker 2: As you know, I've been on the show for Real
- 1:51Speaker 2: Housewives for a long time and I know that my
- 1:54Speaker 2: experience not necessarily personally, but there's been a lot of
- 1:59Speaker 2: edits on the show show that don't really reflect the
- 2:01Speaker 2: real person, the real you know, character. So I want
- 2:06Speaker 2: the audience to get to know the real Polly. And
- 2:09Speaker 2: I'm gonna throw some questions say you okay, that's cool,
- 2:12Speaker 2: So you are from Ireland.
- 2:14Speaker 1: Tell me what what drove you to come to America.
- 2:20Speaker 3: I just you know, I was always fond of America
- 2:23Speaker 3: watching TV, and you know, being from rot and you
- 2:25Speaker 3: see this big country. And then somebody that I that
- 2:29Speaker 3: I knew what I was here, that was like a
- 2:30Speaker 3: family member was like, come over and take a look,
- 2:33Speaker 3: and that was it.
- 2:34Speaker 1: That was it.
- 2:35Speaker 3: Once I got here, I was like, wow, this now?
- 2:37Speaker 1: Was it Jersey?
- 2:38Speaker 2: The first place you saw in America? What was the
- 2:40Speaker 2: first place New York?
- 2:41Speaker 3: It was in Rockland County, Pearl River was the first place,
- 2:44Speaker 3: small place outside New York City?
- 2:47Speaker 1: Interesting?
- 2:48Speaker 2: Yeah, I never seen it. Is it like Ireland beautiful?
- 2:51Speaker 1: Or is it?
- 2:51Speaker 3: It's got the second biggest Saint Patrick's they parade in
- 2:54Speaker 3: the world. So it's very Irish, like a home away
- 2:58Speaker 3: from home.
- 2:59Speaker 1: I like it.
- 3:01Speaker 2: Do you feel like there was a culture shock when
- 3:04Speaker 2: you came over here?
- 3:05Speaker 1: Did you feel at home?
- 3:06Speaker 3: Because yeah, definitely a culture shock. Okay, yeah, yeah?
- 3:10Speaker 1: What was so different?
- 3:12Speaker 3: I mean the speed of everything was very fast?
- 3:15Speaker 1: Yeah New York.
- 3:17Speaker 3: Yeah, the world knoww so much faster over here.
- 3:22Speaker 1: Your parents still there?
- 3:24Speaker 3: My mom and Dada passed.
- 3:26Speaker 1: I'm sorry to hear that.
- 3:27Speaker 3: My mom was on the show. Okay, yeah she was. Yes,
- 3:30Speaker 3: she got a Doloris when they went to Ireland with
- 3:33Speaker 3: the cast trip. So the Laura's got an opportunity to
- 3:35Speaker 3: bring my mom to meet her at the at the
- 3:37Speaker 3: castle where they stayed in Ireland. So it was pretty cool.
- 3:40Speaker 3: It was Actually, it's a nice memory to have that
- 3:42Speaker 3: she got to be on TV once in her life,
- 3:45Speaker 3: which is say, every human eventually gets on TV. Yeah,
- 3:48Speaker 3: but it was on the Housewife and with Dolorus.
- 3:49Speaker 1: So what did your mom think about the show?
- 3:51Speaker 3: She loved it. She loved almost she said, all crazy.
- 3:56Speaker 1: Entertainment, entertainment.
- 3:57Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, So I understand your self made man in
- 4:02Speaker 2: the electrical world.
- 4:06Speaker 1: What do you do for work?
- 4:08Speaker 3: I am I organize people to do the right thing
- 4:12Speaker 3: in the electrical world. So not an electrician, but I
- 4:16Speaker 3: have electoral contracting company. And basically what we've done is
- 4:19Speaker 3: we've manifested having the right people, hire the right people,
- 4:22Speaker 3: and you know, we just we just do a really
- 4:25Speaker 3: good job. So we do higher in the electoral contracting
- 4:28Speaker 3: in New York City, Florida and some other states very soon.
- 4:32Speaker 1: Fantastic, that's great to hear. You're a true entrepreneur, I
- 4:36Speaker 1: would say, so you see the opportunity and you take it.
- 4:41Speaker 3: That's it.
- 4:43Speaker 2: Let's see, let's get into marriage and family. Rumor is
- 4:46Speaker 2: that you and Dolores met at an apple store?
- 4:50Speaker 1: Is that true?
- 4:51Speaker 3: It is true. She followed me, She followed you. She's
- 4:53Speaker 3: kind of stalking me a little bit.
- 4:56Speaker 2: You just answered my next question. Move tell me about
- 5:00Speaker 2: because the first time I met my wife, it was
- 5:02Speaker 2: very magical. It was the first time I've ever seen
- 5:05Speaker 2: birds and stars and flies, and it was just weird feeling.
- 5:09Speaker 2: Tell me about the first time you saw do Lores
- 5:11Speaker 2: and what caught your eye.
- 5:14Speaker 3: So when I was introduced to do Lorus, I did
- 5:17Speaker 3: not know anything but the housewives.
- 5:19Speaker 1: Okay, So.
- 5:22Speaker 3: Yeah, I was introduced to her and then my friend
- 5:24Speaker 3: was like, you know, I want you to go on
- 5:25Speaker 3: a date with my friend. I'm like okay. So she
- 5:27Speaker 3: sent the photograph and I'm like, oh, oh, she's very pretty,
- 5:31Speaker 3: and so we start talking. We swapped numbers and we text,
- 5:35Speaker 3: and then the Laurus said one day, she goes, oh,
- 5:37Speaker 3: let's just go for dinner. Let's just got to the
- 5:40Speaker 3: chase and well meet up. So I'm like okay, I'm
- 5:41Speaker 3: like I gotta go get a new iPhone because my
- 5:43Speaker 3: phone is damaged. I'm going to go to the Apple
- 5:46Speaker 3: Store in Dyson's corner, so we'll go for dinner tonight.
- 5:51Speaker 3: So I'm in the Apple Store and at the time,
- 5:53Speaker 3: it was true COVID. It was coming out of the
- 5:55Speaker 3: end of the COVID, so every had masks on. And
- 5:57Speaker 3: I remember this person walked in the store with these
- 6:01Speaker 3: Lulu lemons and this like tight T shirt and hair,
- 6:05Speaker 3: those boobies going everywhere in jewelry, and I'm like, please,
- 6:08Speaker 3: don't fucking tell me that's fucking dolorous. Because I hadn't
- 6:11Speaker 3: met her at.
- 6:12Speaker 1: This point, not even a picture.
- 6:14Speaker 3: No, I've seen a photograph, but I had never met
- 6:16Speaker 3: her in person. We spoke on the text on the phone.
- 6:18Speaker 3: She walked straight up to me. I wish the mask
- 6:21Speaker 3: could cover my face because I was so embarrassed. I
- 6:23Speaker 3: was like so scared because I'm looking at her, going,
- 6:26Speaker 3: oh my god, this this is hot. Yeah. So she
- 6:30Speaker 3: kind of got me at the word hello.
- 6:32Speaker 1: Wow, that's a great story.
- 6:34Speaker 3: Yeah, no, she did.
- 6:35Speaker 1: I love it.
- 6:36Speaker 2: Yeah, And then you guys went to dinner from there.
- 6:39Speaker 3: We went to Panera Bread next door. Yeah. Yeah, we
- 6:43Speaker 3: had some green tea and we hung out front it
- 6:46Speaker 3: that's how it all started.
- 6:47Speaker 2: Now, how long did you spend together the first time,
- 6:49Speaker 2: like talking, was it like a marathon of ten hours
- 6:53Speaker 2: or like it was like six hours.
- 6:55Speaker 3: We couldn't get away from each other. And that's when
- 6:57Speaker 3: we knew it was like it was important that we
- 7:00Speaker 3: kept that going.
- 7:10Speaker 2: I understand you have two kids, and how was it
- 7:15Speaker 2: bringing the family or merging the family together? Your kids
- 7:20Speaker 2: are kids? How was that transition?
- 7:23Speaker 3: It was very It was actually really simple, and it
- 7:26Speaker 3: was simple because our kids are so beautiful and they
- 7:30Speaker 3: were they were they were leaning into my children and
- 7:34Speaker 3: they never there was never intentions about like the laws
- 7:37Speaker 3: being on a show. It was just love to love
- 7:39Speaker 3: and they were. They were just so good with my kids,
- 7:42Speaker 3: and my kids never understood like you know, hey these people,
- 7:46Speaker 3: there's there's just normal that down around TV dad like this.
- 7:50Speaker 3: But it was such a transition. It was so cool.
- 7:52Speaker 3: And I mean, my kids love for them, and and
- 7:55Speaker 3: I love for her kids too. It's that helps.
- 7:57Speaker 1: That's such a good story. Do you do you have
- 8:00Speaker 1: a nightmare of an ex? Or she cool?
- 8:02Speaker 3: No, she's very cool. Okay, big big favorite fan of
- 8:05Speaker 3: the Laurus and the Laurius fan of hers and great mom.
- 8:09Speaker 3: She loves Frankie, she loves Gobby, she loves Big Frank.
- 8:12Speaker 3: It's it's a blended family. I wouldn't. I'm the guy
- 8:15Speaker 3: that was saying, oh you can do that. That's been crazy,
- 8:19Speaker 3: how can you do that? But no, it's it's a
- 8:21Speaker 3: good thing.
- 8:21Speaker 2: Man.
- 8:22Speaker 3: Now.
- 8:22Speaker 2: One thing my wife told me or shared with me
- 8:24Speaker 2: about the Laurus is that her and frank had like
- 8:26Speaker 2: a very amicable, wonderful separation. And you know that's not normal.
- 8:32Speaker 2: You know when two people separate usually.
- 8:33Speaker 3: It's just horrific.
- 8:35Speaker 1: And I thought, well, okay, that's that's cool. And they're
- 8:37Speaker 1: still friends, right they are. So do you guys spend
- 8:41Speaker 1: a lot of time together?
- 8:42Speaker 2: We do.
- 8:42Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 8:43Speaker 1: Is it weird?
- 8:45Speaker 3: It was at first a million percent. And I would
- 8:48Speaker 3: tell people if they were going to think about doing this,
- 8:50Speaker 3: and they put up the red flies and go, this
- 8:51Speaker 3: is weird. It is, yeah, because everything is different, right,
- 8:55Speaker 3: so every every situation is different. Just try it and
- 8:57Speaker 3: see what happens. Yeah, it doesn't have to work. My
- 9:00Speaker 3: mind did. And I was the one guy that said
- 9:02Speaker 3: it would never work.
- 9:03Speaker 1: Yeah, in my experience, it didn't work. It was. It
- 9:06Speaker 1: was a horrific experience.
- 9:08Speaker 2: And you know, the guy tried to do everything he
- 9:10Speaker 2: could to get back at Tamra, including alienating the kids.
- 9:13Speaker 2: And it's just a terrible situation. So mad respect for you,
- 9:17Speaker 2: and I love Frank.
- 9:19Speaker 1: I met him, great guy. I yeah, shout out to Frank.
- 9:25Speaker 3: Shout out to Frank Italia, Miami Vice.
- 9:32Speaker 1: Don't you have a special name for him?
- 9:35Speaker 3: Like I do? Yeah? It was it was so so.
- 9:38Speaker 3: You know, Frank, in his uh childish way, is you know,
- 9:43Speaker 3: kind of christened me buzz light Year, which which you know,
- 9:46Speaker 3: I kind of see it like I'm a superhero. That's
- 9:48Speaker 3: a pretty big deal.
- 9:49Speaker 2: You know.
- 9:49Speaker 3: It's good to infinity of right, you know. And it
- 9:53Speaker 3: took me a while, you know, I mowed over and
- 9:55Speaker 3: being irish, like I want to be sarcastic, but I
- 9:58Speaker 3: got to go deep on this one. I mister potato head.
- 10:01Speaker 3: I just figured it was it was arms off because
- 10:06Speaker 3: his arms are falling off, because he's like, you know,
- 10:08Speaker 3: literally falling off about this dage because he's yeah, but no, no,
- 10:12Speaker 3: it's it's a good thing. It's funny, potato farm.
- 10:20Speaker 1: You bought him a home.
- 10:21Speaker 3: I bought him a home.
- 10:22Speaker 1: Yeah, Hey, Frank, if you're listening, you got a home.
- 10:26Speaker 3: You gotta hold he with. You got a friend, and.
- 10:32Speaker 1: I love it all right.
- 10:34Speaker 2: The Lows has been on the show for ten years.
- 10:37Speaker 2: When you met her, you just said you didn't know
- 10:39Speaker 2: she was on reality TV? Had you ever seen the
- 10:45Speaker 2: show before you met her? Had you were you familiar
- 10:47Speaker 2: with it?
- 10:48Speaker 3: I was so I used to see the show on
- 10:51Speaker 3: in the house as my ex wife used to watch.
- 10:54Speaker 3: It would have been Caroline Manzow and Trees of Judice,
- 10:56Speaker 3: that whole table torrenting.
- 10:58Speaker 1: Yeah, and that was it.
- 10:59Speaker 3: That That's all I knew was the show. And I
- 11:02Speaker 3: honestly I was the one guy who was like like,
- 11:04Speaker 3: what what is this?
- 11:05Speaker 2: What is this?
- 11:06Speaker 3: Because I was like a tree second viewer. Yeah, obviously,
- 11:10Speaker 3: so you don't get it. And then when you meet
- 11:12Speaker 3: the characters and the people and you see them and
- 11:14Speaker 3: you go, these are actually real people, These are real
- 11:16Speaker 3: stories like yourself, Talma and wherever else, you're like, whoa,
- 11:20Speaker 3: these are just normal people. Yeah, they're sharing the life
- 11:23Speaker 3: with you. Like it's pretty cool. It is.
- 11:26Speaker 2: And that's the side that it's hard to really see
- 11:30Speaker 2: for me because there's so much toxicity involved.
- 11:34Speaker 1: Preceding that or post that.
- 11:36Speaker 2: Right. You know, there's such good moments that we experience
- 11:39Speaker 2: on the show, and then there's just these terrible moments
- 11:42Speaker 2: like I don't I don't want to be a part
- 11:43Speaker 2: of this anymore.
- 11:44Speaker 1: Right, have you experienced anything like that? We're like, I
- 11:48Speaker 1: just don't want to be a part of this.
- 11:50Speaker 3: I did I did? You know, being from art and
- 11:53Speaker 3: I've got pretty tick skined. So you can tell me
- 11:55Speaker 3: what you want, say what you want to bout me,
- 11:56Speaker 3: call me whatever. I really don't care. Well when you
- 11:59Speaker 3: sold and so Dolores to me, that's like that's below
- 12:03Speaker 3: the belt. And I see these people that they do that.
- 12:08Speaker 3: I mean, I feel bad for them because you know,
- 12:10Speaker 3: I know what I'm doing it right, because it's just
- 12:11Speaker 3: their only way to vent And I get that. But
- 12:14Speaker 3: at the same time, it's like it's it's kind of
- 12:17Speaker 3: like this person's giving you everything to say everything to
- 12:20Speaker 3: look at them, right, you look at this person. They're
- 12:22Speaker 3: giving you the life. You can have an opinion on
- 12:24Speaker 3: it because they're public people whatever, but like be nice, yeah,
- 12:29Speaker 3: just be nice. That's it. Be considered. They're pulling the
- 12:32Speaker 3: life out there for you. You know, there is some
- 12:34Speaker 3: benefits to it for them, but they're still doing it,
- 12:36Speaker 3: you know. You know.
- 12:37Speaker 1: One of the hardest times I experienced on the show is.
- 12:42Speaker 2: I understood at a moment that this is supposed to happen,
- 12:46Speaker 2: The drama has to happen in order for the show
- 12:48Speaker 2: to course, right, But when I'm sitting across the table
- 12:52Speaker 2: and some douchebag dude is attacking my wife, I had
- 12:56Speaker 2: to make a decision. Do I want to get into
- 12:59Speaker 2: this because we are producing a show, or do I
- 13:03Speaker 2: want to let my wife handle this situation because she's
- 13:06Speaker 2: way more experienced than I am, right right, right right.
- 13:09Speaker 2: And I ended up letting her experience, or you know,
- 13:13Speaker 2: her knowledge and ability to handle herself manage the situation.
- 13:16Speaker 1: And it was perfect correct.
- 13:18Speaker 2: But the backlash was on social media, like, oh, you're
- 13:21Speaker 2: a douchebag. You don't protect your wife, you know, you
- 13:23Speaker 2: don't stand up for her. I'm like, it's a TV show.
- 13:28Speaker 3: Exactly, and it's called a Housewife, not the household Wife show.
- 13:35Speaker 1: Making that point, how involved are you in it?
- 13:39Speaker 3: I'm just an accessory, okay, I'm I'm like a glorified
- 13:43Speaker 3: uber driver. I go with the Laura's Roachie goes and
- 13:46Speaker 3: I have fun. Man, That's that's what I do. I like,
- 13:49Speaker 3: I like being there with her and like going through it.
- 13:52Speaker 3: But I'm an accessory.
- 13:54Speaker 1: I actually have a similar story.
- 13:57Speaker 2: Went to the Mark and Kelly show and it was
- 14:00Speaker 2: a very revealiant moment where she was actually being interviewed
- 14:04Speaker 2: by the couple and I was in the audience and
- 14:07Speaker 2: I'm walking through the audience, sitting and trying to find
- 14:09Speaker 2: my seat, and they're you know, they're very nice, you know,
- 14:12Speaker 2: waving at me, saying hello, and they're like, you're not
- 14:16Speaker 2: going up there, No, no, no, this is this is
- 14:18Speaker 2: about my wife, not about me.
- 14:20Speaker 1: And I said, I'm just an extra, you know.
- 14:23Speaker 2: And another lady that was sitting on the seat says, no,
- 14:26Speaker 2: you're not, honey, You're a seat filler, seat filler.
- 14:32Speaker 3: I'm okay with it, You're okay with that.
- 14:33Speaker 1: I don't want to be a housewife.
- 14:35Speaker 3: And I think most of the husbands are okay with that.
- 14:39Speaker 3: People perceive it differently.
- 14:41Speaker 1: Yeah, you know.
- 14:41Speaker 2: There's one exception though, in all the entire franchises is
- 14:45Speaker 2: the New Jersey guys.
- 14:46Speaker 1: You know them very well. They get more involved in
- 14:51Speaker 1: the housewife world, right. But the way I see it is.
- 14:57Speaker 2: The dynamic is that you guys have such good relationstionships
- 15:00Speaker 2: with each other. My understanding is that Joe and Joe
- 15:03Speaker 2: and Joe, they've all known each other. They know they
- 15:10Speaker 2: known each other for so long, right that there's a relationship,
- 15:14Speaker 2: there's a history there, so they could have fun with it.
- 15:18Speaker 2: Unlike maybe my franchise or I'm just I don't know
- 15:21Speaker 2: these guys. For Adam, I don't have a lot in
- 15:24Speaker 2: common with them. There's very few guys that I actually
- 15:27Speaker 2: can have a conversation with Terry Dubro, Shane and uh
- 15:31Speaker 2: and even David. You know, there's just very few guys
- 15:33Speaker 2: that I can talk to. But the guys that just
- 15:36Speaker 2: want to participate on the show and want to be
- 15:38Speaker 2: a housewife, I just can't have any respect for them.
- 15:40Speaker 3: There's no respect for them. There is no they they
- 15:44Speaker 3: they you can see right through them every time. Yeah.
- 15:48Speaker 2: So what's the best thing that's come out of the
- 15:50Speaker 2: housewife experience for you? Is it has it helped your relationship?
- 15:53Speaker 2: Has it affected your relationship?
- 15:57Speaker 1: You know, I don't.
- 15:59Speaker 3: I don't think it would help or affect because I
- 16:01Speaker 3: didn't know her from anything else. So for me, it's
- 16:04Speaker 3: just like, this is who she is. She's on a
- 16:06Speaker 3: housewife show, and that's all I know. I don't know
- 16:09Speaker 3: the lare is not to be on a housewife show,
- 16:11Speaker 3: so I can't say pros or cons. I appreciate the
- 16:14Speaker 3: people that like tell me how much they love for
- 16:17Speaker 3: her and how much she's like help them to like
- 16:20Speaker 3: hear these people come up and say, you know, they're
- 16:22Speaker 3: having difficult times in life and she really helped them
- 16:24Speaker 3: through that part. That's affected me in a really positive
- 16:28Speaker 3: way that anything negative doesn't really doesn't cloud that because
- 16:32Speaker 3: I know how much good stuff that comes from every
- 16:35Speaker 3: individual on these shows that they do for people, Like
- 16:38Speaker 3: they help people all over the place without even speaking
- 16:41Speaker 3: them direct So to me, I see that positivity and
- 16:44Speaker 3: I just don't let the negativity shine on it. I
- 16:45Speaker 3: just don't.
- 16:46Speaker 1: That's a good way to look at it.
- 16:48Speaker 2: I like that. Yeah, yeah, And you know, one of
- 16:51Speaker 2: the things that I understand about being on TV is
- 16:55Speaker 2: that you're going to have the good and bad with it.
- 16:57Speaker 2: You're going to have people that are just they're going
- 16:59Speaker 2: to say your eyes aren't blue enough, your hair is
- 17:01Speaker 2: not long enough, it's not brown.
- 17:03Speaker 1: If you're two, it's great.
- 17:06Speaker 2: I mean well, tell me what's the worst thing that
- 17:08Speaker 2: somebody has said about you?
- 17:09Speaker 3: I'm not nice?
- 17:12Speaker 1: That's nothing.
- 17:14Speaker 3: Yeah, cool, what are you talking about? I love that?
- 17:18Speaker 1: I love that. Okay, do you have any questions for
- 17:21Speaker 1: me or anything you want to share about you know?
- 17:24Speaker 1: How do you?
- 17:24Speaker 3: How do you? What do you feel about how everything's
- 17:27Speaker 3: going in the franchise at the moment? Do you think, like,
- 17:31Speaker 3: what rop Bravo we're doing? Where it rot?
- 17:33Speaker 2: Like?
- 17:33Speaker 3: How what do you when you look at the whole
- 17:34Speaker 3: spectrum of things like and you look at it from
- 17:36Speaker 3: an aerial view from being involved so long? I'm onney
- 17:39Speaker 3: a newbie. Yeah, what do you think of what's going on? Like?
- 17:41Speaker 2: What's Honestly, I don't know because from the beginning, Tarma
- 17:46Speaker 2: used to say this, this is probably going to end
- 17:48Speaker 2: in the next two to three years. And we are
- 17:50Speaker 2: fifteen years into it, right, so you see a lot.
- 17:53Speaker 2: I truly don't believe it's ever going to end. We're
- 17:56Speaker 2: coming up on twenty years and it's remark arkable that
- 18:01Speaker 2: it's lasted this long. But it's also my opinion that
- 18:06Speaker 2: it's because of the way they are able to create
- 18:10Speaker 2: drama out of nothing, you know, just take the littlest
- 18:15Speaker 2: things and make it entertaining. And the most common denominator
- 18:20Speaker 2: of the most common comment I hear out there from
- 18:23Speaker 2: professionals like lawyers, even doctors, or fronmen or just regular housewives.
- 18:30Speaker 1: It's their guilty pleasure.
- 18:32Speaker 2: It is, and I don't understand that. I just don't well.
- 18:36Speaker 2: A lot of it has to do with that I
- 18:37Speaker 2: don't watch the show, you know, I just it's not
- 18:40Speaker 2: my thing. But how this can be converted into entertainment
- 18:46Speaker 2: is brilliant, and they've done a great job making such
- 18:50Speaker 2: a successful franchise last this long. I mean, I just
- 18:53Speaker 2: read an article recently that the Desperate Housewives of that's
- 18:58Speaker 2: the show I was familiar with. I know when my
- 19:04Speaker 2: buddy told me that he was bringing the Housewives to
- 19:08Speaker 2: film at our house because I had just moved into
- 19:10Speaker 2: this house and they were looking for a house to
- 19:11Speaker 2: film at. I said, Mikasasukasa, and he says, you know,
- 19:15Speaker 2: we're filming the real house size of Orange County. I said,
- 19:17Speaker 2: wait a minute, you're going to bring Eva Longoria to
- 19:20Speaker 2: my house.
- 19:21Speaker 1: He's like, no bro Rock show. So I'll never forget
- 19:24Speaker 1: that story.
- 19:25Speaker 2: But it's it is remarkable that they've done so well
- 19:29Speaker 2: and created such a great entertainment venue for people to watch.
- 19:33Speaker 2: And you know, I look at it as a very
- 19:37Speaker 2: toxic experience, but it's been such an awesome experience to
- 19:43Speaker 2: navigate through it, right. And the biggest suggestion or advice
- 19:47Speaker 2: I would give the guys.
- 19:48Speaker 1: And it's like, it's a number. Don't get involved. You
- 19:53Speaker 1: just don't you already don't get involved?
- 19:54Speaker 2: You know. It's it's it's it's the guys that get involved,
- 19:57Speaker 2: and you know, and the guys that have not a
- 20:00Speaker 2: skeleton in the closet but a con cemetery there like
- 20:04Speaker 2: these things.
- 20:05Speaker 3: Have you haul trucks pulling up at the stage?
- 20:06Speaker 1: Did you not know this is gonna come out?
- 20:10Speaker 2: You know? Hell?
- 20:12Speaker 1: So you know I am not the perfect guy, but
- 20:14Speaker 1: I don't have a skeleton like that, and.
- 20:16Speaker 3: No guy is. No guy is the perfect guy. But
- 20:18Speaker 3: there's a limit.
- 20:20Speaker 1: Yeah, so yeah, I would you say you enjoyed the
- 20:25Speaker 1: filming life so far?
- 20:27Speaker 3: I've loved it. Yeah I have.
- 20:29Speaker 1: Do you get recognized everywhere you go yet?
- 20:32Speaker 2: I do?
- 20:32Speaker 3: That's Lauris's boyfriends. I do get a lot of that. Yeah, yeah,
- 20:35Speaker 3: that's Paulieuh yeah, yeah, no, I do. And I appreciate it.
- 20:40Speaker 3: Something I'd like to add there is that when I
- 20:42Speaker 3: hear these these women come up, we go to these events,
- 20:44Speaker 3: we do these these these shows with Dolores, and these
- 20:48Speaker 3: women come and they go like, you know, I'm in remission,
- 20:50Speaker 3: had cancer. You got me through my chemo. Like I
- 20:54Speaker 3: listen to these stories that these people tell this woman
- 20:56Speaker 3: and I gotta say this, like, I'm like mothers and
- 20:59Speaker 3: daughters when they say, our relationship is better because we
- 21:02Speaker 3: believe than what you said the Lores and you got
- 21:03Speaker 3: us true this point and it goes for every Housewives.
- 21:06Speaker 3: It's like the franchise doesn't understand that while they're you know,
- 21:10Speaker 3: what they're doing is one thing and what people see
- 21:12Speaker 3: is something else. But what it's doing in the background
- 21:14Speaker 3: that nobody has a clue about is really what's important.
- 21:17Speaker 3: And these women, these mothers, these daughters, these people going
- 21:20Speaker 3: through these these hard times like depending on these shows
- 21:25Speaker 3: because it is their outlet and they connect with these
- 21:28Speaker 3: women so like and I read these emails that come in,
- 21:30Speaker 3: it's like that's what gets me to support the Lows
- 21:34Speaker 3: even more, to be like, don't give up, you know,
- 21:37Speaker 3: because because everybody has a high and low in these situations.
- 21:40Speaker 3: Just stay true to it because this is the benefit
- 21:42Speaker 3: to it. The negative is not strong enough to take
- 21:44Speaker 3: down that benefit of what these people are going through,
- 21:46Speaker 3: what they're successful for.
- 21:47Speaker 2: You know, you know what I think that is only
- 21:50Speaker 2: it's the realism. You know, one thing I've discovered about
- 21:55Speaker 2: my wife compared to the other housewives, and not all
- 21:58Speaker 2: other housewives, but most housewives create a fake storyliner, a
- 22:05Speaker 2: fake soon. Right, my wife is as real as it
- 22:09Speaker 2: can be. She puts it out there.
- 22:11Speaker 1: I can see that.
- 22:11Speaker 2: And Dolores, she's just as real as she can be.
- 22:14Speaker 2: And that shows through the camera and the viewers. They
- 22:18Speaker 2: really appreciate when you are who you say you are,
- 22:21Speaker 2: not who you're trying to fake and on TV right,
- 22:24Speaker 2: just be yourself.
- 22:25Speaker 1: Just be yourself. That's our message for our podcast.
- 22:29Speaker 2: Thank you for listening to the ads and please, if
- 22:32Speaker 2: you have any questions or comments, leave us a review.
- 22:37Speaker 2: We will get back to you and thank you for listening.
- 22:39Speaker 2: Thank you, Polly, you're the best buddy. Thanks for coming on.
- 22:43Speaker 3: Yes, thank you so much.
