- 0:00Speaker 1: You just heard the news.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Now you'll find out what it all means. It smarts
- 0:06Speaker 2: amone on seven tenor.
- 0:14Speaker 3: Oh I'm here, I made it. I'm only a couple
- 0:18Speaker 3: of blocks away. So it was easy to get well,
- 0:19Speaker 3: I wouldn't say it was easy to get here. Even
- 0:21Speaker 3: walking just a block or two is not easy. It
- 0:25Speaker 3: is a mess outside. It is also eerie and gloomy outside.
- 0:29Speaker 3: It's pandemic like in that. If you do walk outside,
- 0:33Speaker 3: there's no traffic. I mean there's a car here and there,
- 0:38Speaker 3: and there are no pedestrians either. That's the eerie part.
- 0:42Speaker 3: You might look way down, this is the middle of Manhattan,
- 0:46Speaker 3: look at you block or two down and see one
- 0:48Speaker 3: person walking it. It's just like the pandemic. It's very
- 0:51Speaker 3: very quiet out there. The snow is messy. It's wet snow.
- 0:54Speaker 3: It's not the dry snow that now. The wet snow
- 0:57Speaker 3: is worse, harder to shovel, it's heavier, and when it's
- 0:59Speaker 3: on the tree branches or power poles, it can get
- 1:04Speaker 3: so heavy it can actually cause them to break snap.
- 1:08Speaker 3: That's we get these power outages. It's a power outage. Wise,
- 1:12Speaker 3: you got six hundred and forty thousand people without power.
- 1:16Speaker 3: That's up and down the East coast, all the way
- 1:18Speaker 3: down to Virginia. Now Here in this area New York State,
- 1:23Speaker 3: including New York City, Nassau, Suffolk seventeen thousand people without power,
- 1:28Speaker 3: and that's mostly Nasau, Suffolk Queens, mostly Long Island, almost
- 1:33Speaker 3: all of it is. Long Island seventeen thousand without power.
- 1:36Speaker 3: Connecticut thirteen thousand without power. New Jersey. Listen to this number.
- 1:42Speaker 3: One hundred and thirty seven thousand without power, one hundred
- 1:46Speaker 3: and thirty seven thousand without power. The wind, the heavy snow,
- 1:50Speaker 3: the wet snow, you got the roads closed. In Manhattan,
- 1:54Speaker 3: roads are officially closed except for emergency travel. That's until
- 1:59Speaker 3: noon today. Out Long Island. I think I'm not sure.
- 2:02Speaker 3: I think NASA is eleven. They're talking about moving at
- 2:06Speaker 3: to one o'clock. The snow is lessening right now. It's
- 2:10Speaker 3: still snowing, but it's much much lighter snow. And that
- 2:13Speaker 3: light snow will continue till about five or six o'clock today.
- 2:17Speaker 3: Should be all over by five point thirty six o'clock
- 2:19Speaker 3: that'll be the end of it. But when it's over,
- 2:21Speaker 3: it's going to be a lot of snow. We got
- 2:23Speaker 3: fifteen inches in New York City fifteen inches. You got
- 2:28Speaker 3: eighteen inches in suburbs. New Jersey got about eighteen inches
- 2:33Speaker 3: some parts. It depends where you are in New Jersey.
- 2:37Speaker 3: South Shore of Long Island got the worst ice lip,
- 2:39Speaker 3: reporting two feet of snow. The Hampton's eighteen inches of snow.
- 2:44Speaker 3: This was unusual in that usually when you're along the
- 2:47Speaker 3: coast you get off easier. The more you go inland,
- 2:50Speaker 3: the worse the snow. This was different. This was a
- 2:53Speaker 3: storm that hugged the shoreline, so the closer word to
- 2:56Speaker 3: the shore, the worse it was. Snow wise unusual, flights
- 3:01Speaker 3: are canceled everywhere. There are no flights in or out
- 3:04Speaker 3: of any of our airports, and they've been canceled for
- 3:07Speaker 3: so many hours, and it's going to be a day
- 3:10Speaker 3: or two so it may not get back to normal
- 3:12Speaker 3: till Wednesday or Thursday. So that's going to be a
- 3:16Speaker 3: mess if you gotta fly anywhere. Trains, well, you got
- 3:19Speaker 3: Metro North is Metro North is pretty good. They're actually running.
- 3:22Speaker 3: I mean there's some delays and not all the trains,
- 3:25Speaker 3: but Metro North seems to be operating okay. Ther Long
- 3:30Speaker 3: Island Railroad of course a total mess. It's mostly shut down,
- 3:33Speaker 3: believe it or not. The New York City subways are running.
- 3:35Speaker 3: They're open. Couple of lines are suspended, but plenty of
- 3:40Speaker 3: subways are running with delays and some low express are
- 3:44Speaker 3: now local that kind of stuff, but they're but they're running.
- 3:46Speaker 3: Bridges are closed. Those bridges should reopen later today. The
- 3:50Speaker 3: bridges are closed not because of the snow. You can
- 3:52Speaker 3: plow the snow, but the bridges are closed because of
- 3:56Speaker 3: the winds forty to fifty sixty mile an hour winds.
- 3:59Speaker 3: You got to close the but that wind is dying down.
- 4:01Speaker 3: It should be pretty much the wind should be pretty
- 4:04Speaker 3: much over by tonight. National Guard has been called out.
- 4:07Speaker 3: You got part of the problem is you're trying to
- 4:11Speaker 3: get through this snowstorm with this kind of leadership. You
- 4:14Speaker 3: got Mam Donnie, you got HOCl you got Mikey Cheryl.
- 4:18Speaker 3: The schools are closed, and for the first time in
- 4:21Speaker 3: I think seven years, they're really closed. It's none of
- 4:24Speaker 3: that remote learning, which is a terrible day for parents
- 4:28Speaker 3: because they love when the kids go to school for
- 4:30Speaker 3: all those hours. Now you're stuck at home with the kids.
- 4:33Speaker 3: If you got the remote learning at least it keeps
- 4:35Speaker 3: them a little busy, but no remote learning. It's a
- 4:37Speaker 3: real snow day, an actual old fashioned schools closed snow day.
- 4:41Speaker 3: Here's Mayor mom, Donnie.
- 4:42Speaker 1: This will be New York City's first old school snow
- 4:45Speaker 1: day since twenty nineteen. The state requires us to conduct
- 4:49Speaker 1: one hundred and eighty days of education in a calendar year. However,
- 4:53Speaker 1: we believe that there are a unique set of extenuating
- 4:55Speaker 1: circumstances for tomorrow's education. We shared this with the State
- 5:00Speaker 1: Education Commissioner earlier this morning, and she has granted us
- 5:03Speaker 1: a waiver for which we are incredibly thankful. And to
- 5:06Speaker 1: kids across New York City, you have a very serious mission.
- 5:09Speaker 1: If you choose to accept it, stay cozy.
- 5:14Speaker 3: So you know, if you live in the suburbs, if
- 5:18Speaker 3: you really know what you're doing, you got one of
- 5:19Speaker 3: those snow shoveling services. It's usually also the landscaping Seruit,
- 5:24Speaker 3: but they come out every time the snow boom, they
- 5:25Speaker 3: come out. Eighteen guys get out of the truck shovling. Now,
- 5:28Speaker 3: if you don't know what you do and you hire
- 5:29Speaker 3: a neighborhood kid. Although that's tough now, I used to
- 5:33Speaker 3: be able to hire the neighborhood. Yeah, twenty dollars to
- 5:35Speaker 3: shovel might drive. Now it's like two hundred and they
- 5:37Speaker 3: don't want to do it, but believe or not, New
- 5:39Speaker 3: York City sort of operates this way. The sanitation department
- 5:44Speaker 3: cleans the snow, but they hire snow shovelers. I don't
- 5:46Speaker 3: know why now they do this, and they do it
- 5:50Speaker 3: for each storm. They put like ads everywhere where we
- 5:52Speaker 3: need snow shovelers. It's nineteen dollars an hour, and they
- 5:57Speaker 3: need about four thousand of these freelance amateur snowshovels. Four thousand. Well,
- 6:02Speaker 3: they only got fourteen hundred this time. I think part
- 6:05Speaker 3: of the problem is nineteen dollars an hour doesn't attract
- 6:08Speaker 3: a lot of people nowadays in the middle of a snowstorm,
- 6:12Speaker 3: and the mayor getting a lot of flak because he's
- 6:16Speaker 3: requiring two types of ID, two photo IDs, a birth certificate.
- 6:21Speaker 3: Of course, when you want to vote there, do they
- 6:23Speaker 3: think photo ID is racist? It's suppressing the vote, it's racist.
- 6:28Speaker 3: But they're doing it for snow shoveling. And of course
- 6:31Speaker 3: he got all kinds of flak all over the place
- 6:34Speaker 3: for it, and ridiculed for it. Now the difference is
- 6:38Speaker 3: with the snowshoveling. They have to issue you a paycheck.
- 6:42Speaker 3: You're actually put on the payroll, and that's a federal
- 6:44Speaker 3: requirement to pay somebody tax purposes, all that stuff. You
- 6:48Speaker 3: have to have all that id But Mom Donnie not
- 6:52Speaker 3: able to attract a normal amount of snowsholls.
- 6:54Speaker 1: So the starting pay for emergency snowshovelers is about nineteen
- 6:57Speaker 1: dollars an hour. After they work forty hours through a week,
- 7:01Speaker 1: that then increases to about twenty eight dollars an hour.
- 7:04Speaker 1: And thanks to the work of DS and Y and
- 7:07Speaker 1: so many others, we have expanded the pool of emergency
- 7:10Speaker 1: snow shovelers. In the previous storm, we were looking at
- 7:13Speaker 1: about five hundred emergency snow shovelers. Now that pool has
- 7:16Speaker 1: expanded to about fourteen hundred.
- 7:18Speaker 3: You got to admit, the guy really sounds like he
- 7:20Speaker 3: knows what he's doing. But when he talks, he gives
- 7:22Speaker 3: you nineteen dollars an hour, and then to move to
- 7:23Speaker 3: twenty eight dollars when we've expanded to the program. He
- 7:26Speaker 3: really sounds like he knows what he's doing. I mean,
- 7:30Speaker 3: if he has to actually do it. He didn't know
- 7:31Speaker 3: what the ally's doing. But boy, when it comes to talking,
- 7:33Speaker 3: this guy sounds like he knows what he's doing. If
- 7:36Speaker 3: you want him to actually do it, well that's a
- 7:38Speaker 3: whole other story. It's not going to get done. Then
- 7:40Speaker 3: you got this governor New Jersey, Mikey Cheryl with that
- 7:44Speaker 3: that she never doesn't sound like a governor.
- 7:46Speaker 4: We need to be prepared, We need to be safe,
- 7:48Speaker 4: get water, get all of your charging done with your devices,
- 7:52Speaker 4: stay off the roads.
- 7:54Speaker 3: Okay, that one was better. Sometimes she gets a little,
- 7:58Speaker 3: but we should talk. Look who we got for a governor.
- 8:02Speaker 4: We are asking you to just stay home. Stay home.
- 8:05Speaker 4: Is a nice diversion called the Olympics going on. There's
- 8:08Speaker 4: an important hockey game, the US versus ken I believe
- 8:11Speaker 4: around eight am, So stay home.
- 8:15Speaker 3: That's a diversion of Olympics. Would they pay like two
- 8:17Speaker 3: billion for the rights? It's a diversion. Isn't the Olympics over?
- 8:21Speaker 3: Is it still on? I don't know. I don't want
- 8:23Speaker 3: to see the Olympics, but I know the hockey was
- 8:25Speaker 3: the big thing. But I guess it's still on. But Hochel,
- 8:28Speaker 3: it's a great chance to you look like a governor,
- 8:30Speaker 3: you get to put on that bomber jacket.
- 8:32Speaker 4: And this forecast had shifted dramatically, and once again New
- 8:36Speaker 4: York State is in the crosshairs of a very dangerous,
- 8:39Speaker 4: fast moving, potentially life threatening winter storm.
- 8:44Speaker 3: Yeah, let me explain something because if you were listening
- 8:46Speaker 3: to me Friday, and I said that the storm is
- 8:48Speaker 3: going to be about one to three inches, and all them,
- 8:51Speaker 3: the good Weather Service, there's a lot of junk weather
- 8:53Speaker 3: services out there aren't very accurate, but the really good
- 8:56Speaker 3: ones ACI Weather, Weather Channel, they're pretty good. I mean
- 8:59Speaker 3: they really accurate. It was one to three inches and
- 9:03Speaker 3: then and some people think, well the weather they like
- 9:07Speaker 3: to hype it up. They're always wrong. They're not really wrong.
- 9:09Speaker 3: You can't find a case of them being wrong or
- 9:11Speaker 3: hyping it up. What happens is a storm changes course.
- 9:16Speaker 3: It could go this way, it could go that way,
- 9:18Speaker 3: even up to a day before. It can change course,
- 9:20Speaker 3: or it can slow down or speed up come at
- 9:22Speaker 3: a different time, but it's mostly changing course. On Friday,
- 9:26Speaker 3: the course was that it would go way offshore and
- 9:28Speaker 3: miss us we'd get a little bit of it on
- 9:32Speaker 3: the fringe, but it changed course and was heading right
- 9:34Speaker 3: for us. So the problem is people check the weather
- 9:37Speaker 3: on Friday and then don't check it again. So when
- 9:40Speaker 3: it says one inch on Friday and you get eighteen,
- 9:43Speaker 3: they think the weather was wrong. Had you been checking
- 9:45Speaker 3: it all the time. As of like twenty hours before
- 9:49Speaker 3: the storm, they had it up to ten inches, twelve inches,
- 9:52Speaker 3: and then it got twelve to eighteen. So the weather
- 9:55Speaker 3: gets it right. You just have to keep checking it.
- 9:57Speaker 3: It's like a stock price. You can't look at it Friday,
- 10:00Speaker 3: that's the price today. So the State of the Union
- 10:03Speaker 3: speech is tomorrow night. That's going to be a big,
- 10:06Speaker 3: big thing Democrats. It's a big chance for them to
- 10:10Speaker 3: look ridiculous and childish and pout and throw their temper tantrums.
- 10:14Speaker 3: Remember Nancy Pelosi ripping up the President's speech one of
- 10:17Speaker 3: the most disgusting, tacky, juvenile, tantrum, child ridiculous things. So
- 10:24Speaker 3: this year they're going to have a separate state. They're
- 10:26Speaker 3: going to have their own State of the Union out
- 10:28Speaker 3: in the park the National Mall. It's going to look ridiculous.
- 10:32Speaker 3: Chuck Schumer, a lot of Democrats will be at that
- 10:37Speaker 3: alternate stadium. Chuck Schumer will go to the real one,
- 10:40Speaker 3: he says.
- 10:41Speaker 2: As of now, because I respect the whole institution, but
- 10:46Speaker 2: I don't respect Donald Trump one bit, I will go.
- 10:52Speaker 2: But the bottom line is there are a lot of
- 10:54Speaker 2: my colleagues who aren't going to go, and I tell
- 10:56Speaker 2: them that's I think that's fine with me. Everyone should
- 10:58Speaker 2: make his own choice.
- 11:00Speaker 3: If you hooked a light detector up to him, or
- 11:02Speaker 3: you injected him with truth theorem, he would be saying
- 11:05Speaker 3: to you, I don't like the President, but I am
- 11:08Speaker 3: gonna go. I think it's very important for me to
- 11:10Speaker 3: go because it's tons of TV cameras and because of
- 11:15Speaker 3: my feud with the president, they'll keep putting the camera
- 11:17Speaker 3: on me and I'll get a lot of FaceTime on camera,
- 11:20Speaker 3: and that's the reason I'm going. If you said the
- 11:24Speaker 3: check showre it is gonna be a first stay of
- 11:26Speaker 3: the Union, not televised, there'll be no cameras. He wouldn't
- 11:28Speaker 3: even be there. He's just there for the cameras. He's
- 11:30Speaker 3: got his new glasses, clean, the lenses and everything. He's
- 11:35Speaker 3: got one of those cheap suits that he'll wear, and
- 11:37Speaker 3: that's the only reason going to be on TV. Same
- 11:39Speaker 3: thing with Hakeem Jefferies. He knows being such an opponent,
- 11:43Speaker 3: they'll keep putting him on camera, and that's the only
- 11:46Speaker 3: reason he's going stay of the Union. The President will
- 11:48Speaker 3: talk about tariffs, all that stuff.
- 11:53Speaker 4: And.
- 11:54Speaker 3: You know, we'll get to this coming up. The tariff ruling.
- 11:59Speaker 3: But Supreme Court was a real chance for fake news
- 12:04Speaker 3: to go really old fashioned fake, you as fake as
- 12:07Speaker 3: they can go. So if you're watching even the ABC
- 12:11Speaker 3: Sunday Show or the nightly news, the headline when the
- 12:14Speaker 3: tariff declared illegal by the Court, the headline was President
- 12:19Speaker 3: Trump's signature, signature economic policy overturned by the Supreme stunning.
- 12:26Speaker 3: First of all, it's not his signature economic policies. Signature
- 12:30Speaker 3: economic policy would be the big beautiful bill. The tariff
- 12:33Speaker 3: was one tool in the toolbox with many tools in it.
- 12:37Speaker 3: And the other thing they kept lying about the President
- 12:40Speaker 3: when he heard the news, he did a press conference
- 12:43Speaker 3: later where he really went after the court and he
- 12:45Speaker 3: basically said, we're going to do the tariffs anyway. We'll
- 12:47Speaker 3: find a way to do him. We're going to keep
- 12:49Speaker 3: doing them no matter what the court says. And then
- 12:53Speaker 3: all the fake news, every newscast opened with unprecedented response,
- 12:58Speaker 3: unprecedented rescs. But defying the court as is unprecedent. Now,
- 13:03Speaker 3: of course, this is a total lie by fake news.
- 13:06Speaker 3: If you're the MSNBC type, you're watching this like a bobblehead,
- 13:08Speaker 3: you're nodding, then you're all repeating to each other. It's
- 13:11Speaker 3: unprecedented the way he It happens all the time. I'll
- 13:15Speaker 3: give you a recent example of what Joe Biden would
- 13:17Speaker 3: forgive the student loans. Supreme Court overturned it. Biden immediately
- 13:22Speaker 3: held a press conference announcing that he was going to
- 13:24Speaker 3: defy the court. He was going to do it anyway.
- 13:26Speaker 3: He didn't care what the hell the court said. He
- 13:28Speaker 3: was going to go ahead with the plan. They'll still
- 13:29Speaker 3: find a way to do it. It's done all the time.
- 13:32Speaker 3: Whenever this is a Supreme Court ruling democrats don't like,
- 13:35Speaker 3: they just ignore it and continue. Here's aoc on. This
- 13:39Speaker 3: is a few years ago Supreme Court ruling she didn't like.
- 13:42Speaker 5: There has been thought, I believe given to this. Senator
- 13:44Speaker 5: Ron Wyden has already issued statements, for example, advising what
- 13:49Speaker 5: we should do in a situation like this, which I
- 13:51Speaker 5: concur which is that I believe that the Biden administration
- 13:54Speaker 5: should ignore this ruling.
- 13:56Speaker 3: Yeah, that's a Democrats way of handling Supreme Court rules
- 13:59Speaker 3: they don't like, totally them and out and out defy them.
- 14:02Speaker 3: So it's not unprecedented. Thank you to NBC, CBSABC, everybody
- 14:08Speaker 3: for just out and out lying to their viewers unprecedented response.
- 14:12Speaker 3: So hey, mar Alago. This weekend, a assassin showed up
- 14:16Speaker 3: with a shotgun and a big can of gasoline, got
- 14:21Speaker 3: over the fence, went through the perimeter, was on the property.
- 14:24Speaker 3: Confronted by Secret Service and local police. They told them
- 14:30Speaker 3: to drop the weapon, drop the gas can. They had
- 14:32Speaker 3: their weapons out. They told him to drop his weapon.
- 14:34Speaker 3: Instead he raised his weapon and aimed it the shotgun,
- 14:38Speaker 3: and of course then they shot and killed them. There's
- 14:42Speaker 3: something unusual about these assassins, the one in Butler, Pennsylvania,
- 14:46Speaker 3: this one on Saturday. These are the only they're young.
- 14:50Speaker 3: They're all like twenty, you know, twenty years old. They're
- 14:53Speaker 3: the only young people that have no social media presence
- 14:56Speaker 3: of any kind. Nothing very suspicious. It's very very very unusual.
- 15:02Speaker 3: So uh, and obviously he's not too great at using
- 15:06Speaker 3: the internet. If you check the President's schedule, he should
- 15:10Speaker 3: get on the list. We get we get sent the
- 15:12Speaker 3: President's schedule every night for the next day. If you
- 15:15Speaker 3: looked at the president's schedule, he was not going to
- 15:17Speaker 3: be in Florida this weekend. The big governor's conference was
- 15:21Speaker 3: at the White House Friday, and then Saturday night there's
- 15:23Speaker 3: a big dinner for all the governors at the White House.
- 15:26Speaker 3: So this was one weekend the president was not going
- 15:29Speaker 3: to be in Florida. So the assassin showed up with
- 15:32Speaker 3: his shotgun. No president there, just the old ladies of
- 15:35Speaker 3: mar Lago on the dining room going, oh my god,
- 15:39Speaker 3: did you hear it was an assassin? He tried he
- 15:41Speaker 3: had a gun and he was gonna anyway. We'll text hey,
- 15:44Speaker 3: we're going to take some calls. Next, I want you
- 15:45Speaker 3: to call me from all over the Tri state area.
- 15:48Speaker 3: We'll get a snow report. Tell me what it's like
- 15:50Speaker 3: where you are. We'll take some calls. Next. Eight hundred
- 15:53Speaker 3: three two one zero seven ten is the number. Eight
- 15:56Speaker 3: hundred three two one zero seven ten
