- 0:03Speaker 1: Welcome into off the bench oh you're scary we're bringing
- 0:07Speaker 1: you the spookiest sports talk in town with jacob hester.
- 0:13Speaker 2: And terrifying and terrible live from.
- 0:18Speaker 3: The haunted raising canes.
- 0:19Speaker 2: Studio here's jacob hester and All right, welcome back in
- 0:32Speaker 2: OTB here live from Rouse's Burbank and Lee. Jake Flynn
- 0:38Speaker 2: and Dick Dixon here with you at Rouse's. Alondra and
- 0:42Speaker 2: Tay-Tay back in the Raising Cane's studio.
- 0:47Speaker 3: All right, we are.
- 0:48Speaker 2: Going to play What's the Ticket? And this week we
- 0:52Speaker 2: are going to add an NFL slate to What's the Ticket?
- 0:58Speaker 2: All right, so it's going to be any NFL game
- 1:01Speaker 2: and college game, which don't worry, we're not going to
- 1:04Speaker 2: forget about that. We're going to do that one as well.
- 1:06Speaker 2: As you know, it involves one top 25 team. But
- 1:10Speaker 2: here in this one, we're just going to do it
- 1:12Speaker 2: based off the six highest and the six lowest. Well,
- 1:16Speaker 2: not necessarily the six highest and six lowest. I'm trying
- 1:19Speaker 2: to trick you a little bit here, too, so we've
- 1:21Speaker 2: got to have that. All right, so we're ready to
- 1:24Speaker 2: play NFL version of What's the Ticket?
- 1:29Speaker 4: Are NFL prices usually higher than college prices or lower?
- 1:33Speaker 2: They're more steady.
- 1:34Speaker 3: Yeah, they're more consistent. Lower than the highest ticket. But
- 1:38Speaker 3: last week, there was some juice. There was a $ 300 ticket,
- 1:40Speaker 3: I think, in the NFL. It was. I don't remember
- 1:43Speaker 3: which one it was. Which game was that? Probably the Saints.
- 1:49Speaker 2: Definitely not.
- 1:50Speaker 3: Those ticket prices are dropping. Yeah, very fast, right? Definitely not.
- 1:55Speaker 4: I'll tell you what, LSU loses the second game, and
- 1:57Speaker 4: I was looking at prices online earlier. LSU prices are
- 2:01Speaker 4: dropping compared to the last few home games.
- 2:03Speaker 3: Yeah, it is also 11 a.m. Yeah, that's very fair.
- 2:07Speaker 2: All right, we are going to play What's the Ticket?
- 2:08Speaker 2: We'll start with the NFL version. What is the highest
- 2:11Speaker 2: ticket get-in price in the NFL? What's the lowest get-in
- 2:14Speaker 2: price in the NFL? We'll get Alondra and Tay-Tay involved
- 2:17Speaker 2: back in studio, as we always do. And we'll start
- 2:20Speaker 2: with the lowest ticket in the National Football League. Is
- 2:25Speaker 2: it going to be the Baltimore Ravens at the Cleveland Browns?
- 2:31Speaker 2: The Tennessee Titans at the Indianapolis Colts? The Carolina Panthers
- 2:36Speaker 2: at the Philadelphia Eagles? The Arizona Cardinals at the LA Rams?
- 2:42Speaker 2: The New Orleans Saints at the New York Giants? Are
- 2:45Speaker 2: the Washington Commanders at the San Francisco 49ers? So, Ravens
- 2:51Speaker 2: at Browns, Titans at Colts, Panthers at Eagles, Cardinals at Rams,
- 2:55Speaker 2: Saints at Giants, Commanders at 49ers. And we'll send it
- 2:59Speaker 2: back to downtown Baton Rouge. Alondra, Tay-Tay, what you got?
- 3:03Speaker 5: I think I'm going to go Titans at Colts.
- 3:07Speaker 6: I don't know why I'm going to do this. Maybe
- 3:09Speaker 6: just because I think Philly's over their team right now.
- 3:12Speaker 6: You got Carolina coming in. No Jalen Hurts this Sunday
- 3:15Speaker 6: as well. I'm actually going to say Panthers at Eagles
- 3:17Speaker 6: is the lowest price.
- 3:18Speaker 2: All right.
- 3:21Speaker 3: That's a good one. That's a good. So off the
- 3:25Speaker 3: cuff there, I was going to go Titans, Colts. Just
- 3:28Speaker 3: feels like a really womp womp of a game. Wait,
- 3:32Speaker 3: where are the 49ers? What was the last one, 49ers?
- 3:35Speaker 3: Commanders at 49ers. Commanders at 49ers. A game in San Francisco?
- 3:40Speaker 3: A game at San Francisco. California people stink, but everything's
- 3:48Speaker 3: expensive there. So I'm going to say it's still expensive
- 3:51Speaker 3: to go there. I'm going to say Saints at Giants.
- 3:55Speaker 3: Is it still MetLife?
- 3:56Speaker 2: It's a weird stadium. It's the Meadowlands when we played there.
- 3:59Speaker 3: It's a weird stadium to get to.
- 4:02Speaker 2: It's in New Jersey.
- 4:03Speaker 3: It's in New Jersey. Everything they do is in New Jersey.
- 4:05Speaker 3: A bad Saints team. Yeah, I'm going to go that one. Okay.
- 4:09Speaker 3: I'm staying with the 49ers game. You're going Commanders at 49ers?
- 4:12Speaker 3: Commanders at 49ers. All right.
- 4:13Speaker 2: We'll go from the highest to the lowest, as we
- 4:15Speaker 2: always do. The highest here in this category at $ 124
- 4:18Speaker 2: is Commanders at the 49ers. That's the highest?
- 4:20Speaker 3: That's the highest. You lose.
- 4:21Speaker 2: You stink.
- 4:23Speaker 3: Were you talking to me out of the California? I
- 4:27Speaker 3: was going to go with the Cardinals Rams. All right.
- 4:29Speaker 2: Well, coming up next. It is the New Orleans.
- 4:32Speaker 3: Saints at the New York Giants.
- 4:34Speaker 7: No!
- 4:34Speaker 3: That's at $ 106. At $ 89, the Carolina Panthers at the
- 4:35Speaker 3: Philadelphia Eagles. Matt, if you're talking about me. At $ 79,
- 4:36Speaker 3: it is the Arizona Cardinals at the Los Angeles Rams.
- 4:52Speaker 2: At $ 54, it is the Baltimore Ravens at the Cleveland Browns.
- 4:57Speaker 2: And winner, winner, chicken dinner for Alondra at $ 31. Obviously.
- 5:00Speaker 2: It is the Tennessee Titans at the Indianapolis Colts.
- 5:05Speaker 3: I should have. Well, you know, we don't have too
- 5:08Speaker 3: many multiple picks. Good job, Alondra. Good job, Alondra. Crushed it.
- 5:11Speaker 3: All right.
- 5:12Speaker 2: Let's go to the highest ticket in the National Football League.
- 5:15Speaker 2: Is it the Dallas Cowboys at the Green Bay Packers?
- 5:18Speaker 2: Sunday night football. Is it the LA Chargers at the
- 5:21Speaker 2: Kansas City Chiefs? The Buffalo Bills at the Las Vegas Raiders?
- 5:28Speaker 2: The Chicago Bears at the Atlanta Falcons? The Houston Texans
- 5:33Speaker 2: and Jacksonville Jaguars in London? The New York Jets at
- 5:39Speaker 2: the New England Patriots? All right, so we've got Cowboys, Packers, Chargers, Chiefs, Bills, Raiders, Bears, Falcons, Texans, Jacksonville,
- 5:50Speaker 2: and London, Jets, Patriots.
- 5:55Speaker 5: All right, so the London game makes this a bit
- 5:58Speaker 5: of a wild card, I feel like. But I'm going
- 6:01Speaker 5: to go with my gut, and I'm going to go Cowboys, Packers.
- 6:06Speaker 6: That's where I'm going as well. You've got to go
- 6:07Speaker 6: to the two big brands. Jordan Love's playing some of
- 6:09Speaker 6: the best ball of his career. They've got an exciting offense.
- 6:12Speaker 6: Cowboys coming in. I think that's the answer.
- 6:18Speaker 3: Matthew? Is it in pounds?
- 6:25Speaker 2: Dollars.
- 6:26Speaker 3: Dollars. Buy it over here, then go over there. Pounds
- 6:29Speaker 3: worth a lot of dollars over there. I'm going to
- 6:32Speaker 3: go to the Las Vegas Strip. I'm going to go
- 6:36Speaker 3: Bills at Las Vegas just because I think that it's
- 6:40Speaker 3: an expensive building to get into no matter who's playing,
- 6:43Speaker 3: especially when you've got Josh Allen coming to town. Let's go.
- 6:46Speaker 3: Raiders are a little bit relevant. Pretty good little squad
- 6:49Speaker 3: over there. Bills at Las Vegas. All right. I'm sticking
- 6:52Speaker 3: with my gut. Same way as Alondra.
- 6:54Speaker 4: I thought of the overseas game, but Cowboys-Packers just seems
- 6:57Speaker 4: like my childhood.
- 6:59Speaker 3: That's like the big game that everybody wants to see. Right.
- 7:02Speaker 3: This seems right. Three– wait. Three people went? Cowboys, Packers.
- 7:07Speaker 2: Cowboys, Packers. Yeah.
- 7:08Speaker 3: That means it's definitely not it. All right.
- 7:10Speaker 2: Yeah. So y'all's antennas were up, and you were right.
- 7:13Speaker 2: We'll go from the least expensive to the most expensive.
- 7:17Speaker 2: I tried to throw Texas and Jags in there in
- 7:20Speaker 2: London just to try to throw you off a little bit.
- 7:22Speaker 3: Well done, Alondra.
- 7:23Speaker 2: That comes in at $ 155. That is the cheapest in
- 7:24Speaker 2: this category. The next one at $ 163 is the New
- 7:26Speaker 2: York Jets at the New England Patriots. At $ 169, it
- 7:34Speaker 2: is the Dallas Cowboys at the Green Bay Packers. At $ 176,
- 7:36Speaker 2: it's the Chicago Bears at the Atlanta Falcons.
- 7:39Speaker 3: $ 218 for the L.A.
- 7:39Speaker 2: Chargers at the Kansas City Chiefs. And at $ 322... the
- 7:55Speaker 2: Bills at Raiders.
- 7:56Speaker 3: Woo! You're back. I'm so back, baby. You're back. Crank
- 8:01Speaker 3: up that diesel because it's expensive. Well done.
- 8:07Speaker 2: All right, so Alondra got the lowest. Flynn got the
- 8:11Speaker 2: highest in the NFL. Let's go to the college game,
- 8:14Speaker 2: and it has to involve at least one team in
- 8:18Speaker 2: the top 25. All right, Dixon, I know you've played
- 8:21Speaker 2: this years ago. One team in the top 25.
- 8:22Speaker 3: Same thing.
- 8:23Speaker 2: Lowest and the highest get-in price to the game. We'll
- 8:27Speaker 2: start with the lowest. Is it Virginia at SMU, Mississippi
- 8:34Speaker 2: State at LSU, Wake Forest at Cal, Northwestern at Michigan State,
- 8:42Speaker 2: Florida State at Miami, or Utah at Colorado? So Virginia
- 8:48Speaker 2: at SMU, Mississippi State at LSU, Wake Forest at Cal,
- 8:51Speaker 2: Northwestern at Michigan State, Florida State at Miami, or Utah
- 8:55Speaker 2: at Colorado, Alondra and Tay-Tay?
- 9:00Speaker 5: I'm going to go Michigan State.
- 9:04Speaker 6: I'll go out to, as our guy Matt Flynn would
- 9:06Speaker 6: call it, the left coast.
- 9:08Speaker 3: I don't think they love football out there.
- 9:09Speaker 6: I'll say the Cal Golden Bears got the lowest ticket price.
- 9:13Speaker 3: All right. Um, There is a rule on this show.
- 9:18Speaker 3: If Miami is hosting a game on what's the ticket,
- 9:22Speaker 3: it is going to be the lowest, lock it in,
- 9:25Speaker 3: final answer, guaranteed to win, Florida State at Miami. Really?
- 9:31Speaker 3: Florida State's trash. Miami's great, but they don't care. Nobody
- 9:34Speaker 3: there in Miami likes them. I'm with Taylor Cowell. Okay.
- 9:44Speaker 3: Let's go.
- 9:46Speaker 2: Nobody want to guess LSU?
- 9:47Speaker 3: Yeah, I did. I looked at it earlier. I was
- 9:50Speaker 3: going to guess LSU. Oh, you did? Oh, you cheated.
- 9:53Speaker 3: Someone was looking for tickets.
- 9:55Speaker 2: All right, let's go with the most expensive in this category.
- 9:58Speaker 3: At $ 163.
- 9:58Speaker 2: I knew exactly what I was doing, Florida State at Miami.
- 10:04Speaker 3: Are you serious? $ 160?
- 10:06Speaker 2: Oh, $ 163, Florida State at Miami.
- 10:09Speaker 3: Last year, they were pretty good too, right? They went
- 10:11Speaker 3: to the national championship game. They had a home game.
- 10:13Speaker 3: It's like $ 6. $ 6 to get in.
- 10:16Speaker 4: I just thought like maybe Florida State, Miami, it's in-state
- 10:19Speaker 4: little rivalry.
- 10:19Speaker 3: Yeah, no, they don't care about that. They did this week, apparently.
- 10:22Speaker 2: At $ 77, it is Utah at Colorado. At $ 40, it's
- 10:24Speaker 2: Northwestern at Michigan State. At $ 28, it's Mississippi State at LSU.
- 10:36Speaker 3: A drop from the last time I looked. Yes.
- 10:39Speaker 2: At $ 19, it is Virginia at SMU. And $ 13 gets
- 10:44Speaker 2: you into Wake Forest and Cal.
- 10:47Speaker 3: And ACC. That's what sold it for me. That's what
- 10:51Speaker 3: sold it for me. Waking cow. Wake all the way
- 10:54Speaker 3: up to cow. 13 bucks.
- 10:56Speaker 2: 13 bucks. Wake Forest is actually pretty good.
- 10:58Speaker 3: So we've all got one except for Richard. I just
- 11:03Speaker 3: got that one. He got that one. He got that one.
- 11:05Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 11:05Speaker 3: He got it too. He got it too. Oh, Tay
- 11:08Speaker 3: and Dick. All right. Got it. Good luck with this one.
- 11:13Speaker 2: The highest ticket involving at least one top 25 team
- 11:16Speaker 2: here in college football. Is it Ohio State at Indiana?
- 11:21Speaker 2: Auburn at Georgia? Alabama at Tennessee? Missouri at Ole Miss?
- 11:31Speaker 2: Notre Dame at BYU? or Florida at Texas, Ohio state
- 11:36Speaker 2: at Indiana, Auburn at Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Missouri at Ole Miss,
- 11:41Speaker 2: Notre Dame at BYU, Florida at Texas.
- 11:46Speaker 5: I'm going to go with Ohio state, Indiana. Everybody loves
- 11:50Speaker 5: Ohio state and then Indiana's defending champs. So that's what
- 11:54Speaker 5: I'm gonna go with Columbus.
- 11:57Speaker 6: My gut told me Alabama, Tennessee, but, um, Don't much
- 12:00Speaker 6: like my gut anyways. We're going to go BYU versus
- 12:04Speaker 6: Notre Dame. BYU's got some money. Like the whole state
- 12:06Speaker 6: of Utah's got money. College game day's there. I'm going
- 12:09Speaker 6: to go BYU versus Notre Dame.
- 12:15Speaker 3: Oh, man. Tennessee, you're out. Georgia, out. All based on
- 12:23Speaker 3: stadium size. That's what I'm looking at here. I'm going
- 12:28Speaker 3: to go Notre Dame, BYU as well. Okay. Copy, take. Okay.
- 12:33Speaker 3: I'm going Alabama, Tennessee, sticking with the big old good.
- 12:37Speaker 3: Big old good, yeah.
- 12:38Speaker 2: All right, here we go. We'll start with the cheapest ticket,
- 12:40Speaker 2: and we'll work our way to the most expensive. At $ 107,
- 12:42Speaker 2: it is Florida at Texas. At $ 145, it is Auburn
- 12:45Speaker 2: at Georgia. At $ 230, it is Missouri.
- 12:48Speaker 3: At Ole Miss.
- 12:48Speaker 2: That's a good ticket. At $ 319, it is Alabama at Tennessee.
- 13:01Speaker 3: Close.
- 13:01Speaker 2: 319 was third place? That's insane.
- 13:03Speaker 3: At $ 341, it is Notre Dame at BYU.
- 13:05Speaker 1: Wow.
- 13:05Speaker 3: And at $ 398, it is Ohio State at Indiana. Well done.
- 13:07Speaker 2: That's three big boys. That's three big boys. Is Ohio
- 13:10Speaker 2: State at Indiana at 11 a.m.
- 13:11Speaker 3: Too?
- 13:11Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 13:25Speaker 3: God, that always cracks me up. That game should be
- 13:27Speaker 3: at night.
- 13:28Speaker 2: That game should be under some lights.
- 13:29Speaker 3: Yeah. Somewhere. That's crazy. Under the sunlight. Under the sunlight. Yeah,
- 13:34Speaker 3: it's under the sunlight. Yeah. They love that sunlight.
- 13:37Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 13:38Speaker 4: That's just like an up north thing. I feel like
- 13:40Speaker 4: that's an NFL culture that wants to play like noon.
- 13:43Speaker 4: So like the colleges up there, their big games are
- 13:44Speaker 4: at noon.
- 13:45Speaker 3: That's right. They want to play under God's light, the sun.
- 13:48Speaker 3: Tell you what, though, I will enjoy getting home. Yeah,
- 13:52Speaker 3: I know you will. And you're going to do a
- 13:54Speaker 3: good job tomorrow in that post game. I got a
- 13:55Speaker 3: good feeling about it. You're going to nail it. You're
- 13:57Speaker 3: going to nail it. I mean, I've never been so.
- 14:00Speaker 2: Locked in for a game.
- 14:01Speaker 3: You're going to be so locked in tomorrow. Tell us,
- 14:04Speaker 3: how are you watching that game tomorrow? Through osmosis. Does
- 14:08Speaker 3: that make sense? Oh, yeah, it does. You're going to
- 14:10Speaker 3: feel it. You're going to watch the game with just
- 14:13Speaker 3: straight vibes.
- 14:14Speaker 4: I'm going to be like the guy with the radio
- 14:15Speaker 4: set listening to it, phone, and then calling plays.
- 14:20Speaker 3: So you have to call plays. So you're going to
- 14:21Speaker 3: be watching that 20-minute breakdown.
- 14:26Speaker 4: I'm going to go home. You know, on YouTube TV,
- 14:27Speaker 4: it's like, Show me the highlights. I'm going to go
- 14:30Speaker 4: straight home. Show me the highlights.
- 14:32Speaker 3: It's a tricky one. With kids, we're going to the
- 14:36Speaker 3: game tomorrow.
- 14:36Speaker 4: We've got to miss a soccer game. We've got to
- 14:38Speaker 4: miss a soccer game. So you're allowing your kid to
- 14:40Speaker 4: miss a soccer game.
- 14:41Speaker 3: To go to a game? I think it's actually canceled
- 14:43Speaker 3: because of the game, but I was going to let
- 14:47Speaker 3: him miss a soccer game.
- 14:48Speaker 2: Just to be clear.
- 14:49Speaker 3: Just to be clear.
- 14:50Speaker 4: We've got a big game against the Ascension.
- 14:54Speaker 2: Cougars, I think it is.
- 14:56Speaker 3: Oh, the Cougs. It's win or go home. Oh, you
- 14:59Speaker 3: can't miss that. That was playoffs.
- 15:01Speaker 7: Playoffs?
- 15:01Speaker 3: Well, no, this is to get into the playoffs. If
- 15:03Speaker 3: we lose, we're done. If we win, we're in.
- 15:04Speaker 2: We're just trying to get in the tournament.
- 15:05Speaker 4: We're just trying to play next Saturday.
- 15:08Speaker 3: So it's playoffs for y'all. Yeah. Yeah, I mean. Absolutely.
- 15:12Speaker 2: Essentially, it's playoffs.
- 15:14Speaker 3: Basically, when you go home. Our crosstown rival growing up
- 15:17Speaker 3: in Tyler, Texas. Ooh. We were Lee. They were John Tyler. Oh, yeah.
- 15:23Speaker 2: We played John Tyler because they weren't scared to play.
- 15:25Speaker 3: So they made the playoffs. They had like five state
- 15:27Speaker 3: championships in the 90s. They'd made the playoffs every single year.
- 15:30Speaker 3: They were the Lions, but they called their nickname was Cujo.
- 15:32Speaker 3: So they wore Cujo jerseys when they made the playoffs.
- 15:36Speaker 3: Every year in the playoffs, they brought out the Cujo jerseys. Yeah.
- 15:38Speaker 3: And it's pretty cool. But they only wore it in
- 15:40Speaker 3: the playoffs, right?
- 15:41Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 15:41Speaker 3: In 2001, I believe. 2001, we're playing them. In the
- 15:48Speaker 3: last game, it's always the last game of the season
- 15:50Speaker 3: we played them, and they had made the playoffs forever. Yeah, yeah.
- 15:53Speaker 3: They had to win that game to beat us, to
- 15:55Speaker 3: get into the playoffs. And they brought out their Kuto
- 15:57Speaker 3: jerseys for the first time ever in the regular season.
- 15:59Speaker 3: And it didn't work. Belt to ass. They didn't make
- 16:04Speaker 3: the playoffs. You put it into the dreams. Yeah, we did. Sorry.
- 16:10Speaker 2: What year did we go over and play John Tyler?
- 16:13Speaker 3: 98, 97? That was 98 or 99, I believe. What 99?
- 16:15Speaker 2: I was on team in 99.
- 16:17Speaker 3: Okay, that's 98. That's when I, because I was 7th
- 16:19Speaker 3: or 8th grade. I think I was 8th. I was
- 16:21Speaker 3: 8th grade because I was playing on, well, I say
- 16:24Speaker 3: playing on varsity. I was like maybe running down on
- 16:26Speaker 3: a kickoff or two. That was 98.
- 16:28Speaker 4: It was probably the same year that I went to
- 16:29Speaker 4: my first Evangel game when Moss Point played Evangel.
- 16:32Speaker 2: That would have been my freshman year.
- 16:34Speaker 3: Yeah, I was there.
- 16:36Speaker 4: I was the first male not to go to Moss
- 16:38Speaker 4: Point High, but we went to all their games. I
- 16:39Speaker 4: had a good quarterback. Demetrius Bilbo. He's a big agent now.
- 16:43Speaker 4: He's one of the top agents in NFL now. Really?
- 16:46Speaker 2: He's a good player.
- 16:46Speaker 3: He got a start under Buskirk.
- 16:48Speaker 2: I think they beat us there. We beat them at Evangel.
- 16:51Speaker 4: At Evangel, y'all smoked them like 70-something to 21.
- 16:54Speaker 2: It was terrible.
- 16:55Speaker 3: I'll never forget. I remember where I was sitting at
- 16:57Speaker 3: Rose Stadium watching that game. Watching Evan come in. Brock
- 17:02Speaker 3: Berlin coming in there. Because I was a fresh quarterback.
- 17:05Speaker 3: I just started playing quarterback. I was throwing two to
- 17:07Speaker 3: three passes a game. Pop passes at the tight end
- 17:10Speaker 3: right over the middle. Probably incomplete. If I was one
- 17:13Speaker 3: for nine in the season, that was a good season. Hell, yeah.
- 17:16Speaker 3: And I went out there, my mind was blown, and
- 17:18Speaker 3: it made me want to play quarterback. There you go.
- 17:20Speaker 2: Shout out to Brock Burman.
- 17:21Speaker 4: I don't feel like high school has that atmosphere. Like,
- 17:24Speaker 4: when it was Moss Point, Evangel, or Moss Point, West Monroe,
- 17:26Speaker 4: I mean, the entire city shut down. They put extra
- 17:29Speaker 4: bleachers around the track.
- 17:30Speaker 3: Yeah. But now, like, I go to these big games,
- 17:32Speaker 3: and I see, like, stands empty.
- 17:34Speaker 2: I still think there's some.
- 17:36Speaker 3: What's ruined it.
- 17:36Speaker 4: Is I don't go to a lot of games anymore. Like,
- 17:38Speaker 4: I can watch Ocean Springs High School from my couch. And, like,
- 17:41Speaker 4: the amount of people that live outside the city. Nobody
- 17:44Speaker 4: has to come into town to go to the game anymore.
- 17:46Speaker 4: You can just flip it on the TV.
- 17:47Speaker 2: Now, I will say, like, U-High Rumble this year, it
- 17:50Speaker 2: was packed, and it was, like, five deep in the
- 17:52Speaker 2: end zones. So I think you still have it. It
- 17:54Speaker 2: just depends on the matchup. Like, if Catholic and U-High play,
- 17:58Speaker 2: if U-High and Dunham end up playing in the playoffs,
- 18:00Speaker 2: that's going to be it.
- 18:01Speaker 4: I think they should cancel all streaming inside the state.
- 18:04Speaker 4: I mean, they do it for NFL.
- 18:06Speaker 2: Yeah, are you saying, like, so grandparents can watch if
- 18:08Speaker 2: they're like, yeah.
- 18:08Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 18:09Speaker 2: Because, like, I've got to go to the Board of
- 18:11Speaker 2: Supervisors dinner next week, and so I won't be able
- 18:14Speaker 2: to stay back on Friday and drive to Auburn. I've
- 18:16Speaker 2: got to be there on Friday. I'm going to be
- 18:18Speaker 2: watching U-High Westville on my phone.
- 18:20Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah.
- 18:21Speaker 2: Because that's the only way I can see it.
- 18:22Speaker 1: Mm-hmm.
- 18:22Speaker 4: I get it.
- 18:24Speaker 2: Maybe like a 35-mile radius.
- 18:27Speaker 3: I'm blacked out. High school football.
- 18:29Speaker 4: My dad still has season tickets. He's like, I'm just
- 18:31Speaker 4: going to put it on TV. I ain't driving to
- 18:33Speaker 4: town no more.
- 18:34Speaker 3: You got to watch these high school kids get up
- 18:35Speaker 3: there and do the clap count.
- 18:39Speaker 2: Or the fake clap.
- 18:40Speaker 3: I like the fake claps.
- 18:42Speaker 2: You're really going to get them to jump off sides.
- 18:43Speaker 3: They jump off sides every time.
- 18:44Speaker 2: We'll take a break. We've got more OTB, a little
- 18:46Speaker 2: pontoon parlay when we come back here live from Rouse's.
- 18:49Speaker 2: Off the bench. GetGordon.com, Gordon McKernan, injury attorney. It is
- 18:56Speaker 2: your area code in Louisiana no matter where you're at, 318-225-504-985-337,
- 19:02Speaker 2: followed by the 888-8888. Get in contact with the G-Team,
- 19:06Speaker 2: whatever you've got. Have that conversation with them. You can
- 19:09Speaker 2: have it on GetGordon.com. A little live agent is going
- 19:12Speaker 2: to pop up as soon as you go to the website.
- 19:14Speaker 2: Get Gordon and get it done.
- 19:15Speaker 3: That's right. Be a part of the G-Team. We've seen
- 19:17Speaker 3: all the great work that Gordon McKernan does in the community.
- 19:21Speaker 3: We've seen all the great work he does in the
- 19:22Speaker 3: NIL space with the G team over there. Well, you
- 19:24Speaker 3: can be a part of the G team as well. Look,
- 19:26Speaker 3: if you have been injured, if you get into an accident,
- 19:28Speaker 3: it is not something that is planned. It's not something
- 19:31Speaker 3: that is expected. And you're probably not going to know
- 19:34Speaker 3: what to do. Well, what you should do is call
- 19:36Speaker 3: Gordon Recurring Injury Attorneys and let them walk you through
- 19:38Speaker 3: the process. Let them go fight for you and get
- 19:40Speaker 3: exactly what you deserve. And get the G guarantee as
- 19:41Speaker 3: well where you don't pay a dime unless they win.
- 19:43Speaker 3: Go to getgordon.com.
- 20:01Speaker 7: Locked in on LSU football, 24 seven. You're listening to
- 20:05Speaker 7: off the bench.
- 20:21Speaker 2: All right, welcome back in. OTB here live from Rouse's
- 20:25Speaker 2: Burbank and Lee.
- 20:26Speaker 7: Jake.
- 20:28Speaker 2: Dixon, Flynn, all here with you. Got Alondra and Tay-Tay
- 20:32Speaker 2: back inside the Raising Cane Studio in downtown Baton Rouge.
- 20:35Speaker 2: Before we get to a little pontoon parlay, I always
- 20:40Speaker 2: want to remind you about our friends over at Ochsner. Obviously,
- 20:42Speaker 2: right now in October, it is Breast Cancer Awareness Month,
- 20:46Speaker 2: and Look, go to Ochsner.org and you can download the
- 20:51Speaker 2: MyOchsner app. I mean, early detection, obviously we've been talking
- 20:54Speaker 2: about it all month long and what that can mean
- 20:57Speaker 2: for you. Mammograms right now, schedule those, you know, the
- 21:01Speaker 2: loved ones in your life. If they need a little nudge, right,
- 21:04Speaker 2: to have that appointment, go ahead and direct them to Ochsner.org
- 21:08Speaker 2: and find that location for you. And again, you can
- 21:10Speaker 2: schedule your appointment also in the MyOchsner app. Again, Ochsner.org
- 21:14Speaker 2: is the website. All right, let's get to a little
- 21:17Speaker 2: pontoon parlay. We'll send it back into studio. Alondra and Taytay,
- 21:22Speaker 2: what's the play? Give us the winner.
- 21:28Speaker 5: Okay, so I am going to take it to Austin,
- 21:34Speaker 5: and we are going to go. I want to start
- 21:38Speaker 5: this off by saying that I don't think Texas is
- 21:40Speaker 5: that good of a football team. I think their defense
- 21:42Speaker 5: is really good. Their offense and arc is a little shaky. Um,
- 21:46Speaker 5: and I think that the Tennessee game is what stands
- 21:49Speaker 5: out in my mind, but Florida.
- 21:52Speaker 3: Okay.
- 21:52Speaker 5: So they haven't had a good last two weeks, but
- 21:54Speaker 5: I still think that they can get it done. I'm
- 21:56Speaker 5: going to go Florida to cover 11 and a half
- 21:58Speaker 5: over Texas in Austin.
- 22:01Speaker 6: We're going to stay in the SEC. We're going to
- 22:03Speaker 6: go out to Neyland Stadium, Tennessee versus Alabama. Alabama's lost
- 22:06Speaker 6: the last two times in Neyland Stadium, and Tennessee actually
- 22:10Speaker 6: number one in the country in sacks. They average over
- 22:13Speaker 6: four per game. However, Alabama's been able to score a
- 22:16Speaker 6: ton this year. Tennessee's relied on the running game. Alabama
- 22:20Speaker 6: allows less than 100 yards on the ground.
- 22:23Speaker 3: I think it's tight early.
- 22:24Speaker 6: I think Alabama pulls away, and I don't think Tennessee's
- 22:26Speaker 6: good enough on offense.
- 22:27Speaker 3: To hang with them.
- 22:28Speaker 6: So I'll take Alabama to win and cover the seven
- 22:31Speaker 6: and a half on the road at Neyland stadium.
- 22:35Speaker 3: All right.
- 22:36Speaker 2: So we've got Florida plus 11 and a half at Texas,
- 22:39Speaker 2: Alabama minus seven and a half at Tennessee, Matthew Clayton Flynn.
- 22:46Speaker 2: What you got?
- 22:47Speaker 3: Are you really? I'm going to pick.
- 22:49Speaker 2: Yeah, you're allowed. We'll just fade you.
- 22:52Speaker 3: All right. You already mentioned it earlier. You already teased
- 22:54Speaker 3: it a little bit. I did this a couple of
- 22:56Speaker 3: weeks ago because I was betting with my heart. Now
- 22:58Speaker 3: I'm betting with my brain. It just so happens to
- 23:01Speaker 3: match my heart. Notre Dame, the cowards. Yeah. They're traveling.
- 23:07Speaker 3: They're traveling to Provo. They're going to play BYU. They're
- 23:11Speaker 3: finally playing a ranked team for the first time in
- 23:16Speaker 3: 331 days. Because why? Again, they are cowards. Well, they're
- 23:20Speaker 3: going up to Provo. They're playing BYU, a good football team,
- 23:24Speaker 3: with a fun quarterback who wears a jersey number 47.
- 23:27Speaker 3: Hell yeah, brother. And that is deserved of all the
- 23:31Speaker 3: hell yes.
- 23:32Speaker 2: That's pretty sweet.
- 23:33Speaker 3: It's absolutely awesome. Provo sits 4,551 feet above sea level.
- 23:36Speaker 3: That's high. That's pretty high.
- 23:38Speaker 2: That's pretty in the sun. That's dapping it up.
- 23:40Speaker 3: So guess what? It's a little bit different. Even so
- 23:41Speaker 3: much that Marcus Freeman has said that they have been
- 23:44Speaker 3: worried about that since the summer. They have been prepping
- 23:47Speaker 3: and trying to prep. for it right uh the irish
- 23:50Speaker 3: have played in provo twice 1993 they won 45 20
- 23:52Speaker 3: last time they played there was a 2004 they lost
- 23:54Speaker 3: 20 to 17 i think they're gonna lose this game
- 24:02Speaker 3: I hope they do. But guess what? BYU's getting ten
- 24:04Speaker 3: and a half points. I'll take the points for the parlay.
- 24:07Speaker 3: BYU plus ten and a half at home versus the overrated,
- 24:12Speaker 3: cowardly Fighting Irish.
- 24:14Speaker 2: Ten and a half versus Matt's favorite team, Notre Dame.
- 24:19Speaker 3: All right. I'm going Kentucky. Minus six and a half.
- 24:23Speaker 1: Wait.
- 24:24Speaker 2: You're going Oklahoma minus six and a half or Kentucky
- 24:26Speaker 2: plus six and a half?
- 24:27Speaker 3: Kentucky plus six and a half. Kentucky game.
- 24:29Speaker 4: I just really like the way– That quarterback just doesn't
- 24:31Speaker 4: do anything stupid. It's just so smooth, and he moves
- 24:34Speaker 4: the ball down the field.
- 24:35Speaker 3: And what does he hit now? I don't know. Is
- 24:37Speaker 3: he still 12 touchdowns, one intercept? Something like that.
- 24:42Speaker 4: The defense impressed me last week because all I heard
- 24:45Speaker 4: was Matt tell me we were going to run all
- 24:46Speaker 4: over him. And I got excited and then was heartbroken
- 24:48Speaker 4: this weekend. But I don't know. I really like what
- 24:51Speaker 4: I saw from Kentucky. And every time I've watched Oklahoma,
- 24:53Speaker 4: they look terrible. In my defense, they should.
- 24:56Speaker 3: Have run all over him.
- 24:59Speaker 2: Just didn't run normal ball plays.
- 25:02Speaker 3: All right. What are you talking about? Sam Leavitt taking
- 25:06Speaker 3: a handoff and trying to run a sweep to the right.
- 25:08Speaker 3: That's not normal. I want that one back.
- 25:10Speaker 2: I want that one back.
- 25:12Speaker 3: All right.
- 25:12Speaker 2: Here is the pontoon parlay this week. Alondra, Florida, plus 11.5
- 25:17Speaker 2: at Texas. For Tay-Tay, it is Alabama minus 7.5 at Tennessee.
- 25:25Speaker 2: Matthew Clayton Flynn, BYU plus 10.5 versus Notre Dame.
- 25:29Speaker 3: At home versus Notre Dame.
- 25:31Speaker 2: That's when you say versus and not at.
- 25:32Speaker 3: But you got to emphasize it today because of that altitude.
- 25:35Speaker 2: I didn't know that. When you're doing betting, when you
- 25:38Speaker 2: say versus, that means you're the home team.
- 25:40Speaker 3: I'll write it down. Look, I put versus and at.
- 25:43Speaker 3: I know the thing. I just wanted to tell everybody
- 25:44Speaker 3: at home.
- 25:47Speaker 2: Richard Dick Dixon, Kentucky plus 6.5 at Oklahoma. I went
- 25:54Speaker 2: with Ohio State minus three and a half at Indiana.
- 25:59Speaker 2: Indiana has been just, I mean, holding on by like
- 26:03Speaker 2: the just smallest of margins, Northwestern and Nebraska. This isn't
- 26:08Speaker 2: Northwestern or Nebraska. It's Ohio State. Ohio State blew that
- 26:12Speaker 2: game against Texas. I don't think that happens again. Indiana
- 26:15Speaker 2: beat them a year ago. They remember that. I like
- 26:18Speaker 2: Ohio State minus three and a half at Indiana.
- 26:21Speaker 3: I like that one too.
- 26:22Speaker 2: That is the pontoon parlay. Go ahead and parlay that
- 26:26Speaker 2: together and have yourself a weekend.
- 26:28Speaker 3: All right.
- 26:29Speaker 2: We'll give some thoughts, some final thoughts on LSU hosting
- 26:32Speaker 2: Mississippi State and the Saints traveling to New Jersey to
- 26:35Speaker 2: take on the New York Giants when we come back
- 26:38Speaker 2: here on OTB. Off the Bench. All right, go to centralplumbing.org, centralplumbing.org,
- 26:46Speaker 2: in Baton Rouge, in the entire Baton Rouge area. Also now, though,
- 26:50Speaker 2: in Lafayette, it is 24-7, 365 weekend, holiday, game day,
- 26:53Speaker 2: emergency service. They will be there for you. Now it's
- 26:57Speaker 2: not only in emergencies. If you are looking to upgrade
- 27:00Speaker 2: at your home, at your business, from the very beginning,

- 27:05Speaker 2: they've got you covered. Go to that website today. That
- 27:07Speaker 2: is centralplumbing.org.
- 27:08Speaker 3: That's right. Centralplumbing, centralplumbing.org. The Payne family, they've been doing
- 27:13Speaker 3: it a long time. A long time in the greater
- 27:16Speaker 3: Baton Rouge area, but now in the greater Baton Rouge
- 27:18Speaker 3: and Lafayette area. Third generation company. You do business for
- 27:22Speaker 3: that long. any type of service company, you know that
- 27:25Speaker 3: you're doing business the right way, you're treating people the
- 27:28Speaker 3: right way, you're being fair with your pricing, and you're
- 27:30Speaker 3: providing expert work, expert craftsmanship. So if you've got a
- 27:34Speaker 3: plumbing need, whether it's water line, gas line, commercial, residential,
- 27:37Speaker 3: it doesn't matter. Also, 24-7 emergency service right over there
- 27:40Speaker 3: at Central Plumbing, centralplumbing.org.
- 28:00Speaker 7: Locked in on LSU football 24-7. You're listening to Off
- 28:04Speaker 7: the Bench.
- 28:19Speaker 3: Segments. Brought to fam.
- 28:21Speaker 2: You can catch Richard on the postgame with our guy Hanny.
- 28:24Speaker 2: Going to be on Eagle 98.1. Depending on how the
- 28:27Speaker 2: game goes. Depending on how the vibe's going in there.
- 28:32Speaker 2: If it goes bad, God bless. If it goes good,
- 28:36Speaker 2: be a great time. Either way, it's must listen.
- 28:38Speaker 3: If it goes bad, nobody wants to hear a bunch
- 28:41Speaker 3: of chipper people.
- 28:45Speaker 2: That was not a chipper.
- 28:47Speaker 3: I love that word. Not a chipper man. That's a
- 28:49Speaker 3: great word. Last weekend. And he shouldn't have been.
- 28:53Speaker 2: All right, before we get back into a little LSU
- 28:56Speaker 2: Mississippi State and New Orleans Saints and New York Giants,
- 28:59Speaker 2: when the job has to be done safe, efficient, and
- 29:02Speaker 2: the right way, trust our friends over at Pala. Employee-owned
- 29:04Speaker 2: and relationship-driven, Pala has served the Gulf Coast since 1973,
- 29:08Speaker 2: providing turnkey industrial construction, maintenance, storage tank construction, and repair,
- 29:12Speaker 2: pressure vessel fabrication, and much, much more. So from the
- 29:17Speaker 2: first plan to the finished project, Pala Group is building
- 29:20Speaker 2: together with It's customers and communities. You can learn what
- 29:24Speaker 2: Pala can build for you at palagroup.com. That's P-A-L-A group.com. Pala, employee-owned,
- 29:30Speaker 2: relationship-driven building together.
- 29:34Speaker 3: All right.
- 29:35Speaker 2: Well, let's take a look one more time at LSU
- 29:38Speaker 2: and Mississippi State. This line is going all the way
- 29:41Speaker 2: up to 15 and a half. It is because there
- 29:44Speaker 2: is a great belief that Kamario Taylor is not in
- 29:47Speaker 2: this game, and neither is Fluff Bothwell, the very talented
- 29:51Speaker 2: running back there for Mississippi State. So if they don't play,
- 29:54Speaker 2: that's why the line is where it is. It is
- 29:57Speaker 2: still a very, very big line. Let's not forget. Don't
- 30:00Speaker 2: lose sight of this. Mississippi State is number 16 in
- 30:04Speaker 2: the country. They are number 16 in the country. You
- 30:08Speaker 2: are 22nd in the country. They are six spots ahead
- 30:12Speaker 2: of where you are. I think that's important to point out.
- 30:15Speaker 2: This team has guys that are really good players. Evans
- 30:19Speaker 2: at receiver, really good player. He would be the number
- 30:22Speaker 2: one on like 95% of the teams across the country.
- 30:27Speaker 2: I understand Kamario Taylor, and if he doesn't play, that
- 30:29Speaker 2: changes the entire equation for Mississippi State. I like LSU
- 30:32Speaker 2: in this game. 15 and a half in a ranked-on-ranked matchup,
- 30:36Speaker 2: it just feels like a massive, massive number. So I
- 30:39Speaker 2: think LSU is going to win the game. Matt talked
- 30:41Speaker 2: about it earlier. I think there's some advantages for LSU
- 30:44Speaker 2: to throw the football against this Mississippi State team. And
- 30:48Speaker 2: The one thing about this LSU team that I want
- 30:50Speaker 2: to make sure we give them credit for is there
- 30:53Speaker 2: is still a real strain out there when you watch tape.
- 30:56Speaker 2: Last year, I cannot say that. Last year, when things
- 30:59Speaker 2: weren't going great, you saw a lot of loafs. You
- 31:02Speaker 2: saw a lot of guys take plays off, and that's
- 31:03Speaker 2: a culture. That is every day in the weight room
- 31:06Speaker 2: where that's built up. I did not see that against Kentucky,
- 31:09Speaker 2: and so I say that to say I think they're
- 31:11Speaker 2: going to play pretty pissed off this weekend inside of
- 31:13Speaker 2: Tiger Stadium. I don't care what time the kickoff actually is.
- 31:17Speaker 2: They're going to be ready to go. And if you're not,
- 31:19Speaker 2: then that's troublesome. And we'll spend all week next week.
- 31:21Speaker 2: But I have not seen that. All I've seen from
- 31:23Speaker 2: this team is they do have fight. They will go
- 31:26Speaker 2: until the final whistle, until the clock hits triple zero.
- 31:30Speaker 2: I think they play pissed off this week. I think
- 31:32Speaker 2: they come out. Now, again, 15 and a half, that's
- 31:34Speaker 2: a crazy number. I don't care. They can win by...
- 31:38Speaker 2: A safety, 2-0, 3-0, 10-7. Don't care. Win the game.
- 31:43Speaker 2: Find a way. LSU wins.
- 31:45Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't want to see 2-0, but I understand
- 31:47Speaker 3: the point. I very much understand the point.
- 31:50Speaker 2: We'd talk about that for a long time.
- 31:52Speaker 3: No, we would. We would. Okay, Mississippi State is a
- 31:55Speaker 3: good football team. Obviously, they have gone on the road.
- 31:57Speaker 3: They have played very well. They won a game at home.
- 32:01Speaker 3: They've won on the road. They've done well. They are
- 32:03Speaker 3: a good team. Jeff Levy is running a really good
- 32:06Speaker 3: program over there. Camario Taylor, awesome, outstanding. But let's not
- 32:09Speaker 3: get it twisted. Don't lose sight of the fact that
- 32:11Speaker 3: LSU is also a good football team. Yes, they've won
- 32:14Speaker 3: two games on the road in really tough environments, in
- 32:17Speaker 3: night games, and they've lost two SEC road games by
- 32:20Speaker 3: a total of nine points. They are a good football team.
- 32:23Speaker 3: They have still one of the top offenses in the country, albeit, yes,
- 32:28Speaker 3: they have failed to perform a couple of times when
- 32:31Speaker 3: it mattered the most. I get that, but from a
- 32:34Speaker 3: statistical standpoint, from a yardage, from a points standpoint, they
- 32:37Speaker 3: are still at the upper echelons in the entire country
- 32:41Speaker 3: from an offensive standpoint. And let's also not get it twisted.
- 32:45Speaker 3: For Mississippi State to be as good and as relevant
- 32:47Speaker 3: as they are, they have to have exceptional play at
- 32:50Speaker 3: the quarterback position. And that they have. Kamario Taylor is
- 32:54Speaker 3: an absolute freak, and I mean that in the best
- 32:56Speaker 3: way possible. Beautiful to watch that ball come off his hand.
- 33:00Speaker 3: Great footwork. everything operates incredibly well. Their RPO system, they
- 33:05Speaker 3: run RPOs 44% of the time on offense. That's an
- 33:09Speaker 3: astonishing number. I think out of like 308, I got
- 33:12Speaker 3: it written down, 381 total plays Mississippi State has run
- 33:16Speaker 3: on offense this season. 168 of those are RPOs. That
- 33:21Speaker 3: is unheard of. That is their offense. Now, if he
- 33:24Speaker 3: does not play, which all Everything, all signs are pointing
- 33:28Speaker 3: to him not playing. You are going to be starting
- 33:30Speaker 3: a quarterback. That was a former walk-on there. Can he
- 33:33Speaker 3: operate this offense? I don't think so. Not against this
- 33:37Speaker 3: LSU defense. Yes, LSU defense, they have given up points
- 33:42Speaker 3: when you need it. They have not gotten the stops
- 33:44Speaker 3: a couple of times, but they have not gotten the
- 33:46Speaker 3: stops against incredible quarterback play. Trinidad Chambliss did it. Kenny
- 33:50Speaker 3: Minchie did it. But Kenny Minchie was playing out his
- 33:52Speaker 3: mind in the fourth quarter last week. I don't think
- 33:55Speaker 3: a former walk-on quarterback can do that to LSU's defense.
- 33:59Speaker 3: That is why the line is the way that it is.
- 34:02Speaker 3: When Kamario Taylor is at the top of the list
- 34:06Speaker 3: with one less game than most people, and for the
- 34:08Speaker 3: most points accounted for in the country, he's at the
- 34:11Speaker 3: top of the list. Yardage, touchdown passes. He is the reason.
- 34:15Speaker 3: He has been the engine that has made it go. So,
- 34:19Speaker 3: if he doesn't play... Look out. Their defense has been
- 34:24Speaker 3: Swiss cheese against the pass. And LSU, from a yardage
- 34:28Speaker 3: standpoint at least, has been towards the top of the country.
- 34:31Speaker 3: So Sam Levitt, have a day. Slow your mind down.
- 34:35Speaker 3: Slow your brain down. Go through your progressions. Coaches, let's
- 34:38Speaker 3: not overthink this one. Run your RPOs. Sam, count to
- 34:41Speaker 3: three and four like we've talked about. Hand the ball
- 34:43Speaker 3: off when it's there. Throw it if you have to
- 34:46Speaker 3: have an answer. establish the running game early, and then
- 34:51Speaker 3: beat them through the air. That's what I think. I
- 34:54Speaker 3: think LSU, I think the line's probably pretty good. I
- 34:57Speaker 3: think it ends up being probably an ugly game, like
- 35:00Speaker 3: a 34-37-13 type game. I don't know. LSU wins. And again,
- 35:07Speaker 3: 11 a.m., sometimes that's a concern, but coming off a
- 35:10Speaker 3: loss like that, The first thing you want to do,
- 35:13Speaker 3: you cannot wait to get back on the field after
- 35:15Speaker 3: a loss. You wanted it right. You were wrong. You
- 35:17Speaker 3: were pissed off. You were embarrassed. You're like, let me
- 35:20Speaker 3: go hit somebody through the face right now is what
- 35:25Speaker 3: LSU wants to do. So look out. Look for that
- 35:27Speaker 3: defensive big game going. All right.
- 35:29Speaker 2: Tay-Tay Alondra, anything to add before we move on to
- 35:32Speaker 2: the New Orleans Saints?
- 35:34Speaker 6: Yeah, I think the coaching staff on both sides of
- 35:37Speaker 6: the ball have taken a lot of criticism this week,
- 35:39Speaker 6: and some rightfully so, some not so much. I think
- 35:42Speaker 6: there was groups of this team that got exposed on Saturday.
- 35:45Speaker 6: They got punched in the mouth a little bit. I
- 35:47Speaker 6: think LSU comes out fired up. I think they're a
- 35:49Speaker 6: lot more aggressive in this game. I think the Tigers won.
- 35:53Speaker 5: I don't really have anything to add that y'all didn't
- 35:55Speaker 5: already say.
- 35:58Speaker 2: I think LSU wins. Nailed it.
- 36:04Speaker 3: Crushed it. It's like that scene from old school. I'm
- 36:05Speaker 3: not going to just like parrot it, y'all. Yeah. It's
- 36:09Speaker 3: like that scene from old school where he said, that
- 36:10Speaker 3: was perfect. We got no rebuttal.
- 36:12Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly.
- 36:13Speaker 3: Boom. Nailed it. That's how you debate. Love it. All right.
- 36:20Speaker 2: New Orleans Saints. Yeah. Traveling to MetLife Stadium Sunday for
- 36:25Speaker 2: what feels like an early must-win game against the three
- 36:29Speaker 2: 1-1 New York Giants. The biggest concern for New Orleans
- 36:32Speaker 2: is stopping the run. Talked about it all week. The
- 36:35Speaker 2: Saints enter the weekend ranked 31st in rushing defense, allowing
- 36:38Speaker 2: 150 yards per game. So expect New York to lean
- 36:43Speaker 2: on old Cam Scadaboo, the old meathead player of the
- 36:46Speaker 2: year back in the day, and try to control the clock.
- 36:49Speaker 2: That's already been a strength for the Giants. They rank
- 36:52Speaker 2: second in the NFL in time of possession. Uh-oh. New
- 36:56Speaker 2: Orleans also gets another reunion with former Saints quarterback, the
- 36:59Speaker 2: Jameis Winston Experience, who is starting in place, of course,
- 37:03Speaker 2: of Jackson Dart. The Saints seem to make Jameis a
- 37:06Speaker 2: little uncomfortable because we all know he'll give a defense
- 37:08Speaker 2: opportunities if it can create some pressure. So Chase Young,
- 37:12Speaker 2: big game for him. Offensively, Tyler Shuck has to rebound
- 37:15Speaker 2: from a difficult performance against Minnesota. Watch the injury report.
- 37:19Speaker 2: We've talked about that all week. Chris Alave did miss
- 37:21Speaker 2: practice with an illness. Giants, they did have edge rusher
- 37:25Speaker 2: Abdul Carter. He's dealing with a calf injury. Remember, they're
- 37:28Speaker 2: already down Brian Burns for the year, so that is
- 37:31Speaker 2: something to kind of pay attention to. The Saints need it.
- 37:34Speaker 2: The Saints have to have it. The Saints are a
- 37:36Speaker 2: favorite on the road. That says something. I don't know
- 37:39Speaker 2: why they are, but it says something. I don't know
- 37:41Speaker 2: what it is, but it's saying something. Somebody knows something.
- 37:45Speaker 2: Everything in me is saying pick the Giants, you big dum-dum.
- 37:48Speaker 2: The Giants are the team to pick. They're 3-1-1. It's
- 37:51Speaker 2: their stadium. The Saints have been horrid for the last
- 37:54Speaker 2: couple of weeks. With all that being said, obviously I'm
- 37:57Speaker 2: going to go with the Saints to beat the Giants.
- 37:59Speaker 3: What? Who dat?
- 38:04Speaker 2: Let's go.
- 38:05Speaker 3: Go Saints.
- 38:06Speaker 2: Who's going to run the ball? Don't know.
- 38:08Speaker 3: Doesn't matter. Is it going to be Kendrick?
- 38:10Speaker 2: Probably not.
- 38:12Speaker 3: Doesn't matter.
- 38:12Speaker 2: Find a way.
- 38:13Speaker 3: Let's go. Let's go Saints. Okay, let's go Saints. Okay,
- 38:17Speaker 3: Saints fans, if you are looking for something to hold
- 38:19Speaker 3: on to, if you're looking at something to grasp and
- 38:22Speaker 3: hold on to something and be like, we got a chance. Well,
- 38:25Speaker 3: obviously Vegas has given you some sort of chance, but
- 38:28Speaker 3: here's a little tidbit of information that might help. Maybe
- 38:33Speaker 3: it doesn't. Maybe it doesn't play out, but I'm going
- 38:34Speaker 3: to give you something at least, something to be positive about.
- 38:37Speaker 3: The Giants' defense runs man-to-man the fifth highest percentage, or
- 38:41Speaker 3: the fifth highest amount of times in the NFL. They
- 38:45Speaker 3: run it about 28% to 29% of the time, man-to-man coverage.
- 38:51Speaker 3: Tyler Shuck versus man-to-man this season has thrown eight touchdowns
- 38:55Speaker 3: to zero interceptions. So, if you are looking at something,
- 39:01Speaker 3: some sort of matchup that is advantageous towards the Saints...
- 39:04Speaker 3: Giants like to play man. Tyler Shuck been very good
- 39:07Speaker 3: against man-to-man coverage. Now, if I'm the Giants, I'm going
- 39:12Speaker 3: to say I'm not going to play man-to-man because I
- 39:15Speaker 3: don't need to. I got to, I can play zone
- 39:18Speaker 3: and stop the run because there is no running game.
- 39:21Speaker 3: So I'm not going to let Tyler Shuck and Chris
- 39:23Speaker 3: Olave and Juwan John, I'm not going to let them
- 39:25Speaker 3: beat me. I'm going to make Kendra Miller beat me.
- 39:28Speaker 1: Right.
- 39:28Speaker 3: That is what I'm going to do. So if I'm
- 39:30Speaker 3: the Giants, I think they're idiotic if they don't do that.
- 39:33Speaker 3: And I don't think they're idiots.
- 39:36Speaker 2: Right?
- 39:36Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 39:36Speaker 3: Is Jim Harbaugh overrated?
- 39:38Speaker 2: Maybe.
- 39:38Speaker 3: But he's still a really good coach. And I don't
- 39:40Speaker 3: think they're idiots. I think they're going to run a
- 39:42Speaker 3: lot of zone. I think they're going to make Kendra
- 39:44Speaker 3: Miller in that running game beat them. And I don't
- 39:48Speaker 3: think it's going to happen. Giants win.
- 39:51Speaker 2: Tete Alondra, anything to add to the Saints and Giants?
- 39:55Speaker 6: I think the Saints suck. I don't think they're very good.
- 39:58Speaker 6: If you can't run the ball, you can't stop the run.
- 40:00Speaker 6: That's a recipe for disaster. If you're watching us in studio,
- 40:04Speaker 6: you see the Bobby Boucher jersey I'm wearing. Unless Bobby's
- 40:08Speaker 6: going to be out there a middle linebacker, there's a
- 40:10Speaker 6: chance Caden Ellis is not playing again. I don't know
- 40:12Speaker 6: who's stopping Cam Scadaboo. I'm actually going to pick the
- 40:15Speaker 6: Giants here, unfortunately.
- 40:16Speaker 3: Okay.
- 40:18Speaker 2: Okay. I think, I don't want to do this.
- 40:24Speaker 3: Sounds like she's picking the Giants, too.
- 40:25Speaker 5: I think I'm going to go with the Giants. And
- 40:27Speaker 5: y'all know I love Jameis. I wish we still had
- 40:30Speaker 5: the Jameis experience in New Orleans. But, yeah, I mean,
- 40:34Speaker 5: that's exactly what it is. It's an experience, but you've
- 40:36Speaker 5: got a good running game with the Giants. Well, I
- 40:39Speaker 5: guess they got Cam Scadaboo. But Saints can't stop the
- 40:43Speaker 5: run for nothing, and they also can't run the ball
- 40:45Speaker 5: for anything. So I'm going to go with the Giants, unfortunately.
- 40:53Speaker 2: All right, which one?
- 40:54Speaker 3: Nope.
- 40:56Speaker 1: Nope.
- 40:56Speaker 3: Nailed it. You got it. I got it. You didn't.
- 40:59Speaker 2: All right, I'm the only one that picks the Saints.
- 41:00Speaker 3: Cool.
- 41:02Speaker 2: Ye of little faith.
- 41:04Speaker 3: Go Saints.
- 41:04Speaker 2: Saints have given us a lot of reasons.
- 41:06Speaker 3: To have faith.
- 41:09Speaker 2: All right, on that note, we'll take a break. We'll
- 41:12Speaker 2: wrap it up. We'll ask the bench brought to you
- 41:14Speaker 2: by Dos Equis when we come back here live from Rouse's.
- 41:18Speaker 2: Off the bench.
- 41:22Speaker 7: Locked in on LSU football 24-7. You're listening to Off
- 41:26Speaker 7: the Bench.
- 41:27Speaker 3: Hello. Hey, what's up? What's happening? Just getting ready for
- 41:31Speaker 3: this game.
- 41:51Speaker 2: Alaska Bench. Brought to you by Ice Cold Dos Equis.
- 41:55Speaker 2: It's always a great time to go for a dose.
- 41:59Speaker 3: Always a good time.
- 42:01Speaker 2: Ask the Bench. Who's going to be LSU's leading receiver tomorrow?
- 42:10Speaker 2: Jackson Harris. I think he's, from my viewpoint, he has
- 42:16Speaker 2: become the most trusted target.
- 42:19Speaker 3: Yeah, I would say most trusted, but I think for
- 42:20Speaker 3: tomorrow I'm going to say Winnie Watkins. He's kind of
- 42:24Speaker 3: your more explosive, twitchy receiver, and I think tomorrow you're
- 42:28Speaker 3: going to hit a couple of nice, explosive plays for
- 42:31Speaker 3: some big touchdowns. I'm going to go Winnie Watkins, leading
- 42:33Speaker 3: receiver tomorrow.
- 42:34Speaker 2: Hashtag ask the bench. Do you feel like you have
- 42:37Speaker 2: been gaslit by college football for 125 years?
- 42:39Speaker 7: No.
- 42:39Speaker 1: No.
- 42:39Speaker 2: I don't feel like that.
- 42:43Speaker 3: Bowl games are sweet.
- 42:44Speaker 2: I love bowl games.
- 42:45Speaker 3: Fast, fast.
- 42:48Speaker 2: I mean, I think the 05 Peach Bowl, the second
- 42:52Speaker 2: favorite game I ever played in, outside of the Natty.
- 42:55Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, I'm sure Sugar Bowl in 06 was
- 42:58Speaker 3: pretty sweet, too.
- 42:58Speaker 2: Yeah, but in 05, like, you and I are roommates.
- 43:01Speaker 2: You got to start. I got to play running back.
- 43:02Speaker 2: I got to run behind, like, Whitworth and those guys.
- 43:04Speaker 3: It was awesome.
- 43:05Speaker 2: I was like, this is so easy.
- 43:07Speaker 3: And it meant a lot.
- 43:07Speaker 2: I was just sitting there thinking, like, how do you
- 43:09Speaker 2: guys not have, like, a bazillion yards on the year?
- 43:12Speaker 3: But in fairness, in the last 10 years since the
- 43:14Speaker 3: 12-team playoff started, yeah. Yeah. A little bit. I mean,
- 43:18Speaker 3: those bowl games have been poo-poo.
- 43:20Speaker 2: Ask the Bench, do you prefer chicken and sausage or
- 43:23Speaker 2: seafood gumbo? Man, I love every gumbo that you can
- 43:27Speaker 2: put in front of me.
- 43:28Speaker 3: I'm going to eat it.
- 43:28Speaker 2: It's one of my favorite, if not my favorite food.
- 43:30Speaker 3: Yep.
- 43:31Speaker 2: I love a seafood gumbo for sure, but I also
- 43:34Speaker 2: love like.
- 43:36Speaker 3: Chicken and sausage for me is not even close.
- 43:38Speaker 2: I love chicken and sausage. Throw some duck in there too.
- 43:41Speaker 3: I like that. Yeah, maybe I just hadn't had the
- 43:44Speaker 3: right seafood. I don't seek out seafood gumbos. I don't
- 43:47Speaker 3: order them. I don't make them.
- 43:48Speaker 2: I usually go like, I'll get one, the next time
- 43:50Speaker 2: I get another. I'll get one, I'll get another. I
- 43:53Speaker 2: don't discriminate on gumbos. If I trust the places.
- 43:56Speaker 3: I don't order them at restaurants a lot because I
- 43:58Speaker 3: don't think any restaurant really makes it anywhere close to
- 44:01Speaker 3: what I've been used to people making at their homes
- 44:04Speaker 3: or like me making it myself or my wife making
- 44:06Speaker 3: it or whatever. I think home gumbo is like way
- 44:09Speaker 3: more dominant than any restaurant gumbo I've ever had.
- 44:12Speaker 2: And I'm not just saying this because I'm part of
- 44:14Speaker 2: the team and I know you're going to roll your eyes.
- 44:16Speaker 2: We have a really good gumbo at Walcon's.
- 44:18Speaker 3: Just saying. Don't roll your eyes.
- 44:20Speaker 2: I can't even tell if you are. uh should both
- 44:23Speaker 2: the broncos and seahawks go back to those throwback looks
- 44:26Speaker 2: permanently so beautiful last night the broncos for sure should
- 44:30Speaker 2: without a doubt without a question go back to that
- 44:32Speaker 2: immediately the seahawks i like it as a change of
- 44:35Speaker 2: pace kind of once or twice a year yeah i
- 44:38Speaker 2: like the seahawks normally.
- 44:39Speaker 3: The broncos would it look that good if you saw
- 44:41Speaker 3: it every single week i don't know i kind of
- 44:43Speaker 3: like it as the change of pace but do it
- 44:45Speaker 3: definitely do it multiple times a season Don't just do
- 44:48Speaker 3: it once. Do it a lot.
- 44:50Speaker 2: Do conference championship games go away with the expanded playoff?
- 44:52Speaker 3: They do. They do.
- 44:55Speaker 2: They're going to be gone, which sucks. SEC championship games
- 45:00Speaker 2: are awesome. Played in two. Got my butt kicked in
- 45:02Speaker 2: one and won another. Hashtag ask the bench, chili or gumbo?
- 45:06Speaker 3: Both. Gumbo.
- 45:08Speaker 2: It's like two of my favorite foods. I'll go gumbo
- 45:11Speaker 2: and then chili, but there's two of my favorite foods.
- 45:14Speaker 2: Ask the bench, should the playoffs stop using New Year's
- 45:16Speaker 2: Six bowls to keep interest in bowls? I think the
- 45:18Speaker 2: devaluing of the bowls is caused by those bowls only
- 45:21Speaker 2: being playoff games. So, like Sam, play the Sugar Bowl
- 45:24Speaker 2: as the Sugar Bowl, not a playoff game.
- 45:26Speaker 3: Okay.
- 45:27Speaker 2: What?
- 45:28Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 45:30Speaker 2: You don't get it? We love you. We thank you.
- 45:32Speaker 3: Go, America!
- 45:34Speaker 2: Off the bench.
- 45:35Speaker 3: You have to do those, too.
- 45:39Speaker 2: Bingo Cubs tonight. All right, go to rejuvenatemedical.com.
- 45:43Speaker 3: Rejuvenate.
