King Serpent is back on the road for a summer tour, kicking off in Indiana and ending in Columbus on July 26th — their first live shows in two years since the pandemic. The duo, Elizabeth and Mathew Franklin, bring their signature sound with a two-piece setup, using backing tracks and their speaker system “Susan” to simulate a full drum kit. Their songwriting is a dynamic, collaborative process where both members are open to cutting beloved parts if it serves the song better — a philosophy that’s helped them evolve with producer Micah Carli.
