- 0:24Speaker 1: Yes, And let's talk about impossible Mondays and who this
- 0:28Speaker 1: is for and where this is and all the details.
- 0:30Speaker 1: Tell me all about it.
- 0:31Speaker 2: Well, I've been doing this for eighteen months now on
- 0:33Speaker 2: this one our knewest program. I heard a life coach
- 0:36Speaker 2: foundation and it's needed. And we're gathering men in a
- 0:39Speaker 2: circle as well. As you're eighteen years older, you can
- 0:42Speaker 2: come sit in a circle with us. We've got food,
- 0:45Speaker 2: We've got men that are being honest with you, with
- 0:47Speaker 2: themselves and one another and at the Over the last
- 0:50Speaker 2: eighteen months, man, it's seen so much growth and just
- 0:54Speaker 2: positivity come from this safe place that we're putting together
- 0:58Speaker 2: every other Monday here in Suo Fall.
- 1:00Speaker 1: And this is something that if somebody listening right now
- 1:03Speaker 1: is going, hey, that sounds fascinating to me, they could
- 1:05Speaker 1: just show up and join you on Monday, right.
- 1:07Speaker 2: Absolutely, you can show up, you can send someone. We've
- 1:10Speaker 2: got an environment that's very warm and welcomeing. Like I said,
- 1:14Speaker 2: we've got food. So we actually just kind of shake
- 1:16Speaker 2: hands and get to know each other for the first
- 1:18Speaker 2: thirty minute starts at six and then a discussion will
- 1:20Speaker 2: start at six thirty. But yeah, it's for you or
- 1:23Speaker 2: somebody you know. Send them to Impossible Monday. We'll welcome
- 1:27Speaker 2: them warmly and it'll be worth it for sure.
- 1:30Speaker 1: Yeah, we're going to give folks a website to go
- 1:32Speaker 1: to or a Facebook page, a place where you gets
- 1:34Speaker 1: some more information here in a second. But let's talk
- 1:36Speaker 1: about where this is held on Monday.
- 1:38Speaker 2: So this Monday, we're going to be meeting actually at
- 1:40Speaker 2: the Multicultural Center, five to fifteen North Main Avenue. Excited
- 1:45Speaker 2: to be partnering with the MCC on this one. You know,
- 1:48Speaker 2: in the past we've worked with the Salvation Army, Windy
- 1:51Speaker 2: City Bikes. We use communal locations, public libraries, you know,
- 1:55Speaker 2: just where people are at. But this Monday, we're at
- 1:58Speaker 2: the mcc there five North Main Avenue.
- 2:01Speaker 1: And that's a beautiful facility. And I'm excited because like
- 2:05Speaker 1: six months ago they were talking about knocking that down
- 2:08Speaker 1: and now it sounds like they're keeping it, which I'm
- 2:10Speaker 1: glad they're keeping it. It's a beautiful, historic, wonderful building.
- 2:13Speaker 2: Yeah, I agree with that. I think that there's a
- 2:15Speaker 2: lot of organizations like mine and others that really revere
- 2:19Speaker 2: it and really appreciate that the doors are still open
- 2:22Speaker 2: there for partnerships.
- 2:23Speaker 1: So again, if somebody listening is going, hey, I'd like
- 2:26Speaker 1: to get some more information about impossible mondays. Where is
- 2:29Speaker 1: the best place to go, like a Facebook page or
- 2:32Speaker 1: a website or what's the best place to go get
- 2:34Speaker 1: the info?
- 2:34Speaker 2: Yeah, I'd say hurt a Life Coachfoundation dot com or
- 2:37Speaker 2: hurt a Life Coach Foundation on Facebook. My direct line
- 2:41Speaker 2: is on there, so you guys can find my information there.
- 2:44Speaker 2: But you know, men's mental health can't be understated or undersupported.
- 2:49Speaker 2: I mean, it is a real epidemic that there's a
- 2:52Speaker 2: lot of weight being a man and being a leader,
- 2:55Speaker 2: and we just need places where we can be honest
- 2:57Speaker 2: about how to navigate that. What other men doing the
- 2:59Speaker 2: exact same thing.
- 3:00Speaker 1: I love that And again we met, i know, five
- 3:02Speaker 1: six years ago, a little while back, and I just
- 3:04Speaker 1: Terry have liked it from the second A metcha, your
- 3:06Speaker 1: neat guy, and you know he's Here's one of the
- 3:09Speaker 1: things I love about Terry. Terry's made some mistakes in
- 3:11Speaker 1: the past, He's paid the price, but he also he
- 3:13Speaker 1: fesses up and he's like, hey, I made mistakes, and
- 3:15Speaker 1: he's helping other people hopefully avoid some mistakes. And I
- 3:19Speaker 1: love that you have kind of laid that out as
- 3:21Speaker 1: your path moving forward, saying, hey, what can I do
- 3:24Speaker 1: to give back in a big way by helping other people?
- 3:26Speaker 1: And I just love that about you.
- 3:27Speaker 2: Thank you so much. Yeah, I believe in second chances.
- 3:30Speaker 2: I've been given the second chance. So we do specialize
- 3:34Speaker 2: in people that are, you know, coming out of incarceration
- 3:36Speaker 2: or maybe had a time and wait for treatment. This
- 3:39Speaker 2: place is for you. And even if you haven't and
- 3:42Speaker 2: you're a man and you and you're just feeling the
- 3:44Speaker 2: weight of that, this place is for you. And you know,
- 3:47Speaker 2: I'd be remiss to say that we'd appreciate any type
- 3:50Speaker 2: of support we can get. We're trying to raise dollars,
- 3:52Speaker 2: right now to cover certain cough as a non profit.
- 3:55Speaker 2: So when you're on that website, if you feel contailed
- 3:57Speaker 2: to just help contribute, hit the donate, but to be
- 4:00Speaker 2: helpful for us right now in this season.
- 4:02Speaker 1: I love that. And again Monday, this coming Monday, if
- 4:05Speaker 1: they'd like to be a part of Impossible Mondays, there's
- 4:07Speaker 1: a meeting coming up Monday, right.
- 4:09Speaker 2: This Monday, six o'clock at the MCC. We've been doing
- 4:12Speaker 2: it for a year and a half. We also got
- 4:14Speaker 2: it for a program in Watertown up there as well
- 4:16Speaker 2: every other Saturday that we do too, so we're really
- 4:20Speaker 2: thrilled that it's expanding and spreading. But yet this Monday
- 4:23Speaker 2: and soup fall, come see us at the MCC six o'clock.
- 4:26Speaker 1: I love it. Thank you for doing what you do
- 4:28Speaker 1: and thank you for sharing it with us. I appreciate it, Terry.
