- 0:00Speaker 1: Yeah, that Uh, Chuck Norris was chasing the Tyrannosaurus Rex.
- 0:05Speaker 1: The rex was not chasing the jeep. Murray, Murray, you there.
- 0:10Speaker 1: You love sandwiches. Huh, Let's go.
- 0:11Speaker 2: To uh eighty.
- 0:13Speaker 3: It was bo.
- 0:16Speaker 2: Wow that Prime time. Maybe I had a crush on
- 0:18Speaker 2: Betty Rubbell.
- 0:19Speaker 1: I honestly, until after the segment ended and we went
- 0:22Speaker 1: to commercial break, had no idea that Jonathan Coachman was black.
- 0:25Speaker 2: He caught them the game last night, although they won
- 0:28Speaker 2: the game. You're listening just to Godson Company. It is
- 0:33Speaker 2: to Gods and Company.
- 0:33Speaker 1: Presented by Fandel and the Fandel sportsbook. Mark Hakman is
- 0:37Speaker 1: with us. I am currently why do you point like that?
- 0:43Speaker 2: A little point so someone says your name and you
- 0:48Speaker 2: just have to point it them back.
- 0:49Speaker 4: I mean so on Instagram a couple of days ago,
- 0:53Speaker 4: I posted a video of you, me, Dan and Jason Jackson.
- 1:00Speaker 4: We were all guests. It was fifteen years ago to
- 1:02Speaker 4: the day that I had posted it. We were all
- 1:05Speaker 4: on the Fox. It was Fox Sports Sun back then. Yeah,
- 1:10Speaker 4: and it was Jason Jackson, you know, would do the
- 1:13Speaker 4: heat pregame postgame studio show and he used to do
- 1:18Speaker 4: a segment. I believe called hot sex with Jacks, and
- 1:24Speaker 4: it sounds like something he would do, right, hot seconds,
- 1:26Speaker 4: excuse me, hot seconds with Jacks. But if it was
- 1:30Speaker 4: hot sex, I would not be surprised, I mean, And
- 1:32Speaker 4: so I posted the video of it just as a throwback.
- 1:36Speaker 4: And when he introduces me, you remember it, Dan's in
- 1:39Speaker 4: the studio with him. The studio was at the arena.
- 1:43Speaker 4: Dan's in the studio with Jacks. You and I are
- 1:46Speaker 4: both situated on the court and in different locations. And
- 1:50Speaker 4: so when he introduces me, I give the finger point,
- 1:53Speaker 4: and he's like, there it is.
- 1:54Speaker 2: The Fred Carter finger point. No one knows why. And
- 1:58Speaker 2: then he introduces you and you give him the finger point.
- 2:02Speaker 2: I was just following your lead, my friend. I gave you,
- 2:07Speaker 2: by the way, your point back.
- 2:09Speaker 1: I'm certain we both learned it from Jason Jackson, who
- 2:12Speaker 1: does love a finger point.
- 2:15Speaker 2: Jay Jacks lost it more than anyone.
- 2:16Speaker 1: I think everybody loves a finger point. I am very
- 2:20Speaker 1: close to where it is that you grew up. That's
- 2:22Speaker 1: what I started to say before you.
- 2:25Speaker 2: Pointed your finger at me.
- 2:27Speaker 1: A stone's throwaway, one might say, from where you are,
- 2:30Speaker 1: I'm in Evanston right now.
- 2:31Speaker 2: Hawk. Yeah, So your daughter's both go to Northwestern. No,
- 2:36Speaker 2: just one of them does.
- 2:37Speaker 1: But Northwestern plays Syracuse tonight, and so my other daughter
- 2:41Speaker 1: attends Syracuse and she is coming in for the game.
- 2:45Speaker 4: That's kind of exciting. Yeah, so Evanston. I grew up
- 2:47Speaker 4: on the north Shore of Chicago and Highland Park. Yes,
- 2:50Speaker 4: there's a twenty minute ride there to Evanston, right up
- 2:53Speaker 4: Lake Shore, not the Lakeshore drive, right up Sheridan House.
- 2:56Speaker 5: Divided game tonight.
- 2:59Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 3:00Speaker 4: You're gonna have to wear the jersey one half Syracuse,
- 3:02Speaker 4: one half Northwestern.
- 3:03Speaker 1: No, no, no no. I told them you better wear Northwestern gear. Okay,
- 3:07Speaker 1: but she goes to Syracuse.
- 3:09Speaker 2: I don't care. It's her sister. I mean, it's Syracuse
- 3:12Speaker 2: thinks the alma mater.
- 3:15Speaker 1: Oh god, we have some sound to play here. But
- 3:20Speaker 1: there are some South Florida stories that I want to
- 3:23Speaker 1: discuss with you, one of them being Tua being released
- 3:28Speaker 1: by the Dolphins signing with the Atlanta Falcons, and so
- 3:33Speaker 1: it's just so funny because it's the worst signing in
- 3:35Speaker 1: the history of the fucking NFL. But that terrible signing
- 3:38Speaker 1: becomes a good deal at a bargain price with the
- 3:41Speaker 1: Atlanta Falcons.
- 3:42Speaker 4: Right, It's amazing how one man's trash can be another
- 3:46Speaker 4: man's treasure.
- 3:47Speaker 2: I knew it was coming u.
- 3:49Speaker 4: The contract was terrible. It was an albatross for the Dolphins.
- 3:53Speaker 4: But it really does give the Falcons a really, in
- 3:57Speaker 4: my opinion, a real quality back up and a guy
- 4:00Speaker 4: probably who competes with Michael Pennix for the starting job.
- 4:04Speaker 4: Whether it's before the season or during the season, There'll
- 4:07Speaker 4: be rumblings I think to go to Tua because I'm
- 4:09Speaker 4: not certain that I'm that sold on Penis.
- 4:11Speaker 2: He's injury prone anyway, Right, I'm a Tua guy. I
- 4:14Speaker 2: like Tua. I'm a fan of Tua.
- 4:17Speaker 4: His play dropped off precipitously last season, yes, but up
- 4:24Speaker 4: until then, Yeah, it wasn't that bad a quarterback. I
- 4:27Speaker 4: know people you know, you know, even on our show,
- 4:31Speaker 4: you can simplify it. Did he get a playoff win? No,
- 4:36Speaker 4: Well neither did. And you can go down the list
- 4:38Speaker 4: over the last twenty five years. He just falls into
- 4:41Speaker 4: the heap of quarterbacks from Ryan Tannehill to Ryan Fitzpatrick,
- 4:46Speaker 4: that Josh Rosen, all these quarterbacks that the Dolphins have
- 4:50Speaker 4: started over the course of a game or two in
- 4:52Speaker 4: the last twenty five years that have never been able
- 4:55Speaker 4: to deliver a single playoff win. He ends up falling
- 4:58Speaker 4: into that category after getting a two hundred and fifty
- 5:01Speaker 4: million dollar contract. I get it, bad contract, but there
- 5:06Speaker 4: were a couple seasons where he was the best Dolphins
- 5:09Speaker 4: quarterback that you had ever seen since Dan Marino period
- 5:13Speaker 4: end of story twenty twenty three.
- 5:14Speaker 1: For sure the season right before he signed the big contract, yesep.
- 5:20Speaker 2: Where he left the NFL in passing. He went to
- 5:22Speaker 2: Atlanta last year.
- 5:23Speaker 1: As bad as he was in Atlanta, he had four
- 5:25Speaker 1: touchdowns and no interceptions.
- 5:27Speaker 2: Maybe the Falcons saw something I don't know. Don't you
- 5:30Speaker 2: want man put him in a dome? First of all?
- 5:32Speaker 4: Does good in weather controlled situations? I mean, I think
- 5:37Speaker 4: you know. I've asked this question on the show. Who
- 5:39Speaker 4: do you think has a chance for a second act,
- 5:42Speaker 4: a successful second act in the NFL? Who has a
- 5:46Speaker 4: better chance Kyler Murray or to a tongue of I LOOA,
- 5:49Speaker 4: I would say to a easily I've seen to a
- 5:52Speaker 4: do it. I haven't seen Kyler Murray do it?
- 5:54Speaker 1: To what did it for a season with Mike McDaniel,
- 5:56Speaker 1: I would say to ta chose the right team. I
- 5:58Speaker 1: think we'll see where Kyler Murry he ends up. But
- 6:00Speaker 1: I think toa chose wisely by choosing Atlanta. You have
- 6:04Speaker 1: Bjon Robinson, maybe the best running back in the league.
- 6:06Speaker 1: You have Drake London, a very good wide receiver, a
- 6:08Speaker 1: good tight end. Like, I think Tua has a chance
- 6:11Speaker 1: here for a resurgence in Atlanta, and I think that's
- 6:13Speaker 1: why he chose to go to the Atlanta Falcons.
- 6:16Speaker 2: Like what kind of act too?
- 6:18Speaker 4: Are we talking Sam Darnold, where you go, Wow, that
- 6:21Speaker 4: guy's a super Bowl quarterback? Or are we talking maybe
- 6:24Speaker 4: like a Baker Mayfield, where you go, Hey, that's the
- 6:27Speaker 4: kind of guy that we thought he was going to
- 6:29Speaker 4: be coming out of college.
- 6:30Speaker 1: You, of course, man Actua, ah Actua.
- 6:35Speaker 2: Damn. I hate whipping on an easy fastball, easy basketball
- 6:40Speaker 2: right down the middle and I let it go.
- 6:43Speaker 1: Wait, so, Hawk, this is interesting because you like Tua,
- 6:46Speaker 1: but you're not as big a Dolphin fan as most you.
- 6:49Speaker 1: You're wearing a bear sweatshirt right now the University of Tampa,
- 6:53Speaker 1: whether it's a Tampa I don't know why I had Bears.
- 6:55Speaker 1: I can't see. I just saw colors.
- 6:58Speaker 4: You're in Evanston and went in Rome, went in Rome.
- 7:02Speaker 4: Everything you see, No, there's a University of Tampa to sweatch.
- 7:05Speaker 1: Wait, so do you think Dolphin fans will be he was?
- 7:09Speaker 1: Tua was kind of polarizing. I'm wondering if Dolphin fans
- 7:12Speaker 1: will be rooting for two It's like the worst kind
- 7:14Speaker 1: of scenario. And Lord knows, I live this being a
- 7:17Speaker 1: Jet fit. It's do you want the guy? It's like
- 7:20Speaker 1: Geno Smith. I like Geno Smith when he was a
- 7:22Speaker 1: Jet quarterback, and then.
- 7:24Speaker 2: Well he is again.
- 7:25Speaker 1: Well I know, well, I liked him the first time
- 7:27Speaker 1: around when he was young, and I thought he could
- 7:29Speaker 1: be good. But I was not rooting for Geno Smith
- 7:32Speaker 1: to have success. Elsewhere, I was not rooting for Sam
- 7:35Speaker 1: Darnold to have success. So the Dolphin fans are in
- 7:37Speaker 1: the worst kind of predicament where you have to root
- 7:40Speaker 1: for your team and Malik willis the new quarterback and
- 7:43Speaker 1: keep an eye on tu It and hope that Tua
- 7:45Speaker 1: doesn't explode with the Atlanta Falcons.
- 7:48Speaker 4: So I probably am in the minority on this. I'm
- 7:52Speaker 4: rooting for him because I think he's a decent dude.
- 7:54Speaker 4: The weird thing about Tua is this I thought, I mean,
- 7:58Speaker 4: if you really go back, Brian and Flora has diminished him.
- 8:01Speaker 4: Most guys come in, they're the fifth overall pick in
- 8:04Speaker 4: the draft and they're quarterback. They're the team leader, and
- 8:07Speaker 4: the coach leans on them to be a team leader.
- 8:10Speaker 4: And Brian Flores didn't do that. In my opinion, he
- 8:13Speaker 4: kind of diminished him. So I think to his narrative
- 8:16Speaker 4: at the beginning of his career was crafted by flow,
- 8:19Speaker 4: and so it took him a while to get into
- 8:22Speaker 4: this role, especially when Mike McDaniel got there and said, hey,
- 8:24Speaker 4: this is your team. Do your thing, this is your
- 8:27Speaker 4: team now. Tua had to kind of expand his aura
- 8:31Speaker 4: a little bit.
- 8:32Speaker 2: Last season. He had some missteps.
- 8:34Speaker 4: First of all, there are plenty of Dolphins fans who
- 8:36Speaker 4: don't like the fact that when he got that big contract,
- 8:38Speaker 4: he came out and started shouting, show me the money.
- 8:43Speaker 2: They liked it at that moment.
- 8:45Speaker 4: They didn't like it when he was getting shown the
- 8:47Speaker 4: money and he was just showing us interceptions and under
- 8:50Speaker 4: thrown balls. But I think a lot of people started
- 8:54Speaker 4: to sour on him last season. He had like three
- 8:58Speaker 4: or four either post or midweek press conference moments that
- 9:03Speaker 4: just kind of rub people the wrong way, looked like
- 9:05Speaker 4: he was throwing people under the bus, looked like he
- 9:08Speaker 4: wasn't in concert with his teammates and his coach.
- 9:12Speaker 2: Players were away for meetings.
- 9:13Speaker 4: That's that's yeah, yeah, they he and he was kind
- 9:16Speaker 4: of calling them out publicly. I feel like Dolphins fans
- 9:21Speaker 4: in general are not rooting for Tua to do well.
- 9:26Speaker 4: I'm not rooting for the Falcons because I don't care.
- 9:28Speaker 4: I don't have any love for the Falcons, but I wouldn't
- 9:31Speaker 4: mind seeing Tua have a successful ex Tua, as you said, like.
- 9:36Speaker 2: I wouldn't mind it. I don't think he's a bad.
- 9:38Speaker 1: Guy, right right, And Plus he's playing in a conference
- 9:42Speaker 1: in a division where if he has success, it's not
- 9:44Speaker 1: like he's going to come back to haunt the Dolphins
- 9:46Speaker 1: unless they play each other in the Super.
- 9:47Speaker 2: Bowl, you know, right.
- 9:49Speaker 4: And if that dude, that motherfucker gets this, gets to
- 9:53Speaker 4: a super Bowl with the Falcons, all bets are off.
- 9:56Speaker 2: Well that's where it starts. That's what I'm saying.
- 9:58Speaker 1: You'll roof for him right up until he makes it
- 9:59Speaker 1: to the Super Ball, like I did with Sam Darnold.
- 10:01Speaker 1: It was a nice story until he was actually holding
- 10:03Speaker 1: up the fucking Lombardi Trophy.
- 10:05Speaker 2: You know that was like.
- 10:06Speaker 4: Tannehill in Tennessee and all of a sudden, it's like
- 10:08Speaker 4: AFC Conference Championship Amy, You're like, huh right, yeah, kind
- 10:13Speaker 4: of rooting for this guy.
- 10:14Speaker 2: But fuck this. I saw what she had, bullshit I
- 10:17Speaker 2: sat through, if were able, what I had to cut
- 10:19Speaker 2: off his penis? I mean high stam high stakes, the
- 10:26Speaker 2: highest of steaks. I would say, is.
- 10:29Speaker 4: That the highest of steaks cutting off one's own penis?
- 10:32Speaker 2: It's a great question. Taylor put it on the pole.
- 10:35Speaker 1: Uh Are those the highest of stakes cutting off one's penis?
- 10:40Speaker 2: I think he's right. I mean, how could there be
- 10:43Speaker 2: higher stakes than that?
- 10:44Speaker 4: I mean, you know, you could get into other appendages.
- 10:48Speaker 4: I don't know, but it's certainly it's in the conversation.
- 10:52Speaker 2: It's not as if either of us are using it.
- 10:54Speaker 1: Very much anymore. Really low stakes for me, go ahead
- 10:59Speaker 1: take it. I don't use this thing.
- 11:09Speaker 2: Anyway. We'll get to this out to the second Taylor.
- 11:12Speaker 1: Taylor had an embarrassing moment on air. We've all been there.
- 11:16Speaker 1: What are your thoughts here on band? Because I am
- 11:17Speaker 1: tired of talking to Israel fucking.
- 11:19Speaker 2: Goody eras about this.
- 11:20Speaker 4: I mean, here's my thought. We we over contextualize things
- 11:28Speaker 4: in the social media sphere all the time and on
- 11:31Speaker 4: our talk shows and all the different media outlets.
- 11:37Speaker 2: The NBA.
- 11:38Speaker 4: For those who believe that the Miami Heat diminished the
- 11:43Speaker 4: product by playing the way that they played in the
- 11:46Speaker 4: fourth quarter, the NBA has already diminished the product, and
- 11:52Speaker 4: so to take some holier than thou stance on that
- 11:56Speaker 4: particular fourth quarter over all the other bullshit that we
- 12:01Speaker 4: sit through with the NBA on a night in, night
- 12:04Speaker 4: out basis.
- 12:05Speaker 2: Do you know the team that Washington was fielding against
- 12:08Speaker 2: the Heat Tuesday night, that's.
- 12:10Speaker 4: A disgrace to the NBA, not what Bam in the
- 12:14Speaker 4: Heat did. So I kind of feel like this half
- 12:19Speaker 4: half the time we complain about players not playing enough,
- 12:24Speaker 4: load management and teams actively trying to tank, and players
- 12:29Speaker 4: who should be out there and probably could be out
- 12:31Speaker 4: there aren't out there. Right now, after Tuesday night, we're
- 12:36Speaker 4: gonna complain that someone was out there, but he shouldn't have.
- 12:40Speaker 2: Been out there.
- 12:42Speaker 1: Were the stars right, we complained, Hey, you take your
- 12:45Speaker 1: son out to a game. You want to see the
- 12:47Speaker 1: stars play, and here's a star who played, but now
- 12:50Speaker 1: he's played too much.
- 12:52Speaker 2: He should be on the bench. Now.
- 12:53Speaker 4: I know tomorrow I'll go back to complaining everyone's on
- 12:56Speaker 4: the bench too much, But right now Bam should be
- 12:59Speaker 4: on the bench and he should not be going for
- 13:01Speaker 4: the records. And here's what I really like, because we
- 13:03Speaker 4: sat through Mike McDaniel with the Dolphins. They put up
- 13:06Speaker 4: seventy points against Denver, and when they had a chance
- 13:10Speaker 4: to go for seventy three a chip shot field goal
- 13:13Speaker 4: to tie the NFL record, he chose not to. And
- 13:16Speaker 4: I thought it was tone deaf by Mike McDaniel. This
- 13:19Speaker 4: fan base, Dolphins Nation needed that we needed something special,
- 13:24Speaker 4: and he decided, I'm gonna play by the unwritten rules here.
- 13:27Speaker 4: I'm not going to add any more points to the total.
- 13:30Speaker 4: I'm just gonna run some clock. And Eric Spolstra and
- 13:34Speaker 4: the Miami Heat, who I believe are stalwarts of NBA
- 13:39Speaker 4: unwritten rules and taking the seriousness of the game the
- 13:44Speaker 4: way that it should be and taking into account all
- 13:47Speaker 4: the legacy.
- 13:49Speaker 2: Players who have come before.
- 13:50Speaker 4: Eric Spolstra allowed the moment to dictate a decision for
- 13:56Speaker 4: him that's really against the norm. Yes, right, so in
- 14:00Speaker 4: most situations, Eric Spolster is gonna sit his starters in
- 14:04Speaker 4: the fourth quarter. In most situations, Eric Spolstra is going
- 14:07Speaker 4: to be content to allow the other team to run
- 14:10Speaker 4: out the clock or him to run out the clock
- 14:12Speaker 4: and just kind of get the game over with. And
- 14:15Speaker 4: Spoe read the room. It was a random Tuesday night,
- 14:19Speaker 4: Heat Nation needed. This been kind of a middling feeling
- 14:24Speaker 4: being a Heat fan. And you had an opportunity here.
- 14:27Speaker 4: You saw it after the first quarter and thirty one points.
- 14:30Speaker 4: You had an opportunity here to do something memorable for
- 14:33Speaker 4: Heat fans and for Bam. Bam deserved it and for
- 14:37Speaker 4: the Heat. And by the way, there's fifteen sixteen games
- 14:41Speaker 4: left in the season and the Heat is still playing
- 14:43Speaker 4: for something. That's a catalyst in my opinion. Yeah, I mean,
- 14:47Speaker 4: there's a moment it became wrestling. Tuesday night, Eric Spolstra
- 14:53Speaker 4: is demonstratively calling for a replay with three minutes left
- 14:58Speaker 4: in a game you're up by the game has already decided.
- 15:02Speaker 4: And by the way, he's calling for a replay on
- 15:04Speaker 4: an offensive foul where Bam not only obviously committed an
- 15:09Speaker 4: offensive foul, he committed it on two people. Two people
- 15:13Speaker 4: standing in the lane taking his charge and spoke. It
- 15:17Speaker 4: was like wrestling. He became captain Leuel Bano, getting.
- 15:22Speaker 2: The crowd involved.
- 15:24Speaker 4: Like Spoe read the room correctly and BAM's teammates read
- 15:28Speaker 4: the room correctly. Bam read the room correctly, and heat
- 15:32Speaker 4: Nation and the team and Bam everyone got something to celebrate.
- 15:38Speaker 4: On a random Tuesday night against the Wizards that should
- 15:41Speaker 4: have been a game that was forgotten and never thought
- 15:42Speaker 4: about again becomes one of the more memorable sporting moments
- 15:46Speaker 4: in South Florida history. Yes, so I loved it. I
- 15:49Speaker 4: thought it was great. And for those who want to
- 15:51Speaker 4: complain and pick it apart, I mean, it's fine.
- 15:55Speaker 2: It's what people do.
- 15:57Speaker 4: But I would say it gave the be a something
- 16:01Speaker 4: that was exciting rather than the conversation always being about
- 16:06Speaker 4: why aren't guys out there? Why aren't teams trying to win?
- 16:11Speaker 4: And this was the opposite of that.
- 16:13Speaker 2: That's a great take right there.
- 16:15Speaker 1: I mean, Taylor, that was That's a good I mean, nuanced, great,
- 16:19Speaker 1: relaxed calm.
- 16:20Speaker 2: He's not screaming like Israel. Goodie air as just giving
- 16:24Speaker 2: you a good take. Rack. I like it.
- 16:27Speaker 3: Rack me.
- 16:30Speaker 1: If you want to blame someone, blame the Wizards for
- 16:32Speaker 1: being fucking lousy. Seriously, I mean, come on, but Hack,
- 16:37Speaker 1: you know it's so it's a non traditional scorer breaking
- 16:40Speaker 1: what many people perceive to be the greatest scorer in
- 16:43Speaker 1: the history of the NBA in Kobe Bryant, and they
- 16:46Speaker 1: don't like it. They would prefer Tyler Hero break Kobe
- 16:49Speaker 1: Bryant's record, not Bam.
- 16:51Speaker 4: You know, totally understand that it's out of character for Bam.
- 16:55Speaker 4: So most NBA fans are looking around, you know, you
- 16:58Speaker 4: see Kobe do it, and you go, Okay, that makes sense.
- 17:01Speaker 2: Yes, that guy's.
- 17:02Speaker 4: Always trying to score as many as possible, so I
- 17:05Speaker 4: get it.
- 17:05Speaker 2: It was out a character for Bam.
- 17:07Speaker 4: So then you kind of immediately default to, oh, what
- 17:10Speaker 4: kind of chicanery went on for him to get this
- 17:14Speaker 4: when he wouldn't score eighty three points in four games?
- 17:16Speaker 4: But whatever, that's what makes sports fun. Yep, right, Yes,
- 17:21Speaker 4: I'm with you, Taylor. Do you know who Captain Lou
- 17:24Speaker 4: Albano is?
- 17:25Speaker 2: No unbelievable this, Taylor, These kids, I mean.
- 17:32Speaker 4: Who's on who's your Who's the best wrestling manager in
- 17:36Speaker 4: your opinion?
- 17:36Speaker 2: Taylor, good question, it's manager Paul.
- 17:44Speaker 1: Guys have done both some guys have wrestled and been
- 17:46Speaker 1: a manager.
- 17:48Speaker 4: Classy, Freddie Blassie, Yeah, Bobby the brain Heenan.
- 17:52Speaker 5: Paul Bert would probably be my number one.
- 17:54Speaker 4: Paul BARRR. Best wrestling managers. Mister Fuji of course is
- 18:02Speaker 4: at all time great? Yeah, Captain Lou Albano.
- 18:05Speaker 2: I don't think anyone is. I think if you if
- 18:07Speaker 2: you were.
- 18:08Speaker 1: To look up a list of best wrestling cornerman managers,
- 18:12Speaker 1: I think it would be Captain Lou I did on
- 18:15Speaker 1: any list.
- 18:16Speaker 2: I think he is the most famous of them.
- 18:17Speaker 4: You're gonna see what Google has to say Paul Hamon
- 18:21Speaker 4: best wrestling manager of all time.
- 18:24Speaker 2: Let's see he's talking to Google.
- 18:26Speaker 4: I don't even know who Paul Hayman is. It's like
- 18:30Speaker 4: Bobby the brain Heenan, widely considered to be the greatest
- 18:33Speaker 4: wrestling manager of all time?
- 18:35Speaker 5: Right?
- 18:35Speaker 2: Oh?
- 18:36Speaker 4: Other top contenders Paul Haman, Yes? Who oh? Jimmy Hart
- 18:40Speaker 4: Mouth of the South.
- 18:41Speaker 1: Wow, the Mouth of the Sound got pictures with a megaphone.
- 18:45Speaker 4: Yeah, Classy Freddie Blassie is up there. How the fuck
- 18:50Speaker 4: is Lou Albano not on this list?
- 18:52Speaker 2: And who is this Hayman guy? I'm going to bing
- 18:55Speaker 2: from now? On Google doesn't know shit. Maybe I believe
- 19:01Speaker 2: in your mouth.
- 19:02Speaker 4: I believe that I have Bobby Heenan's phone number in
- 19:06Speaker 4: my contexts because he used to.
- 19:08Speaker 2: Come on with us. I'm certain that you probably do.
- 19:11Speaker 2: I think I had that.
- 19:12Speaker 1: I think I have Captain Leue Albano's he's dead, correct, Yes, yeah,
- 19:17Speaker 1: you want it? Which dead people? You still having your
- 19:24Speaker 1: context that you can't get rid of? And I'm not
- 19:26Speaker 1: talking about like family members, which is touching? Like which
- 19:29Speaker 1: which dead people you just can't get out.
- 19:32Speaker 2: Of your context? I have O. J. Simpson. Yeah, well,
- 19:39Speaker 2: and you just can't get rid of it? Why would I?
- 19:42Speaker 2: Right right, you're showing it off.
- 19:47Speaker 4: Oh, I have Carl Weather. I'm just looking at my context.
- 19:49Speaker 4: Carl weathers he's passed away, hasn't he?
- 19:52Speaker 1: I believe he has. Yes, I have a Bob Saggett
- 19:54Speaker 1: in here. I just can't get rid of it as well. Yeah, yeah,
- 20:00Speaker 1: for obvious reasons. Oh, I looked up to see if
- 20:02Speaker 1: I have Saga. I have Craig Sager.
- 20:04Speaker 2: Can't get rid of that? Yeah, I'm looking up dead people.
- 20:09Speaker 5: Let me say, anybody got Hulk Hogan?
- 20:15Speaker 2: I do? I do not? I do have Hulk Hogin's.
- 20:19Speaker 4: Yes, that's something that that we need to revisit on
- 20:23Speaker 4: the with Stu Gotts and Hawkman podcast at some point,
- 20:26Speaker 4: the first ever interview with Dan and Hulk Hogan.
- 20:30Speaker 1: Yeah, I still have Hank Goldberg's of that. Oh, I
- 20:33Speaker 1: probably have Hank. Yeah, and I still have Jim Mandiches.
- 20:36Speaker 1: I did I have all their numbers?
- 20:38Speaker 2: Yeah, I have Hank Goldberg. Yeah.
- 20:41Speaker 1: I want to I want to play some sound of
- 20:44Speaker 1: Taylor on the radio show messing up the Dolphins new
- 20:48Speaker 1: head coach. Now, I put him in a terrible spot
- 20:50Speaker 1: here hawk I forced him to ask a you know,
- 20:52Speaker 1: one one more question that didn't need to be asked,
- 20:56Speaker 1: and uh and.
- 20:57Speaker 2: I put him on the spot, and let's play the sound.
- 20:59Speaker 1: They just get Hawks shit to Taylor goofing up the
- 21:02Speaker 1: Dolphins head coach, and.
- 21:03Speaker 5: Just a little more context. I got the Dolphins of it.
- 21:07Speaker 5: I got the Packers of the South from listening to
- 21:09Speaker 5: Hawkman on Hawkman Crowder in Solana. So that's where the
- 21:13Speaker 5: confidence started to come from.
- 21:15Speaker 2: And you're just regurgitating one of my radio takes.
- 21:18Speaker 5: Yes, yes, exactly, yes to Mike Tannenbaum. And this is
- 21:22Speaker 5: how it turned out. Mike Wuerry South Florida Show. What
- 21:25Speaker 5: do you think about the Dolphins becoming the Packers of
- 21:28Speaker 5: the South down here with John Eric Sullivan and Lafleur
- 21:33Speaker 5: and not Lafleur. Uh, but Malik Willis too.
- 21:38Speaker 2: Yeah, he met the head coach. He forgot his name
- 21:40Speaker 2: and that's what happened there. Mike.
- 21:41Speaker 4: Yeah, almost sounds like you didn't know what either.
- 21:44Speaker 2: I didn't.
- 21:46Speaker 1: I didn't, But all he had to do. I told
- 21:48Speaker 1: him to ask about Malik Willis and that's it. Just say, Mike,
- 21:51Speaker 1: your thoughts on Malik Willis. He tried to do too much.
- 21:54Speaker 2: In that spot. Howk.
- 21:55Speaker 4: It's nice though when you call him the Green Bay
- 21:57Speaker 4: of the South and then you fire off three names
- 21:59Speaker 4: real Wicka to make your point, but they have to
- 22:05Speaker 4: be the right three name correct. Gue Lafleur from the
- 22:08Speaker 4: Montreal Canadians did not make the journey down.
- 22:13Speaker 2: Oh you're talking about Matt Lafleur, you know, ge Lafleur. Taylor, Jeez,
- 22:19Speaker 2: sounds like a hockey goalie.
- 22:20Speaker 6: I mean, he's one of the great goal scorers of
- 22:24Speaker 6: all time, perhaps, but hack so I put, I said,
- 22:35Speaker 6: Taylor where a South Florida Show.
- 22:37Speaker 1: We have my Tannebaman, someone needs to ask him about
- 22:41Speaker 1: Malik Willis, the new Dolphins starting quarterback. And so Taylor,
- 22:44Speaker 1: you heard, you heard how he asked the question. It
- 22:46Speaker 1: was clucky that he hit under the desks. Tan bat
- 22:49Speaker 1: was going to answer, So.
- 22:51Speaker 2: Is that on me?
- 22:52Speaker 1: Because perhaps I should have asked it. Taylor needs to
- 22:55Speaker 1: shorten that up though, right, No, Taylor has.
- 22:57Speaker 2: To know who the head coach is for the Miami
- 23:00Speaker 2: Me Dolphins. That's number one. It can't it can't you.
- 23:03Speaker 4: That's like, I'll give you the pass on not knowing
- 23:06Speaker 4: John Eric Sullivan, but you gotta know the head coach,
- 23:10Speaker 4: like gotta you gotta know the quarterback and the head
- 23:12Speaker 4: coach before the general manager.
- 23:16Speaker 1: Listen out quickly he uh, he aborts on the entire
- 23:20Speaker 1: thing on the head coach and just a Malik Willis
- 23:23Speaker 1: and then just imagine right after he says that that
- 23:26Speaker 1: he ducks under the nearest.
- 23:27Speaker 5: Desk, Mike Wuerry, South Florida Show, what do you think
- 23:30Speaker 5: about the Dolphins becoming the Packers of the South down
- 23:33Speaker 5: here with John Eric Sullivan and h. Lafleur and not Lafleur. Uh,
- 23:41Speaker 5: but Malik Willis too.
- 23:42Speaker 1: Yeah, he met the head coach, he forgot his day
- 23:44Speaker 1: and that's what happened there.
- 23:45Speaker 4: Mike, Yeah, yeah, that it hurts me to hear it
- 23:48Speaker 4: each time because I've been there. It's it's like it's
- 23:50Speaker 4: a it's a painful moment kind of happened to me.
- 23:53Speaker 2: You know.
- 23:53Speaker 4: We had Jason Jackson on after the BAM Out of
- 23:57Speaker 4: Bio night, and I was trying to tell jacks that
- 23:59Speaker 4: on the night BAM scored eighty three, I had bet
- 24:03Speaker 4: Myron Gardner over four made field goals. But I wasn't
- 24:08Speaker 4: under the assumption that no one was going to get
- 24:11Speaker 4: field goal attempts other than BAM out of Bio. So
- 24:14Speaker 4: the notion that Myron Gardner was going to hit the
- 24:17Speaker 4: over was a little fool hardy, but nobody had let
- 24:20Speaker 4: me know.
- 24:21Speaker 2: But as I'm asking Jax the question, I.
- 24:24Speaker 4: Can't remember the name Myron Gardner, which I think is understandable.
- 24:29Speaker 4: And I did a little hemming and haweing, and nobody
- 24:31Speaker 4: figured it out.
- 24:32Speaker 2: But I knew in my head. I was like, I'm
- 24:34Speaker 2: counting down to danger zone.
- 24:35Speaker 4: I'm like, I've got about four seconds left here of vamping.
- 24:39Speaker 4: I gotta come up with a name at some point
- 24:42Speaker 4: or this story. This question is gonna fall flat. That's
- 24:46Speaker 4: a heady bet.
- 24:47Speaker 1: I gotta tell you though, I mean, I'm sorry you
- 24:49Speaker 1: lost it, But at the time it seemed like a
- 24:51Speaker 1: good play.
- 24:52Speaker 4: Fucking one hundred dollars bonus bet, I'm looking at the roster.
- 24:56Speaker 4: Heroes out, Powell's out, Wiggins out. That means Myron Gardner
- 25:02Speaker 4: is gonna start and he's gonna jack up some shots
- 25:06Speaker 4: all of a sudden, I mean literally layups, pass it
- 25:10Speaker 4: out to Bam, Reboup passing out to Bam.
- 25:15Speaker 2: How am I gonna win that bet? What was the over?
- 25:18Speaker 2: What was the total four made field goals? He had
- 25:21Speaker 2: a four field goal attempts? Yes, he had two made right,
- 25:24Speaker 2: two made? Yeah he did. Yeah, I mean he played
- 25:27Speaker 2: twenty six minutes. What does he come out of?
- 25:29Speaker 4: Imagine chance, Myron, imagine betting Bam out of bio double
- 25:35Speaker 4: double which was like minus two hundred. He ended with
- 25:40Speaker 4: eighty three and nine. Guy did not hit a double double.
- 25:50Speaker 2: That's a bad beat man. Oh that's a rough one,
- 25:54Speaker 2: this Myron Gardener. If Jesus Gardner I thought that was
- 25:58Speaker 2: gonna be the Myron Gardner game. Course we all did.
- 26:02Speaker 1: Everyone did a Bam stolen from him and Taylor loves
- 26:06Speaker 1: your talk about It Tuesdays. We've discussed that in the past,
- 26:09Speaker 1: and now he has he has a new segment for you,
- 26:13Speaker 1: and I think he has imaging for the segment already.
- 26:15Speaker 2: Wow.
- 26:16Speaker 1: So hawk Tick listen here, this is the counter you
- 26:18Speaker 1: talk about It Tuesdays.
- 26:20Speaker 2: Okay, you know that segment.
- 26:24Speaker 3: Talk about It Tuesday on Hawkman Crowder in Solero. This
- 26:28Speaker 3: is like that, but bigger, bigger, man better, better, better,
- 26:32Speaker 3: And forty eight hours later, this is Think about It Thursday.
- 26:43Speaker 2: He loves imaging tailor, he loves the imaging. Who's the
- 26:47Speaker 2: imaging voice on that?
- 26:50Speaker 5: Somebody for Fox Sports Radio veto.
- 26:52Speaker 2: That's like a legit imaging voice for that. Yeah, that
- 26:55Speaker 2: is fantastic.
- 26:56Speaker 5: So let me be the first to welcome everybody to
- 26:58Speaker 5: the first Think About It Thursday. The question we have
- 27:04Speaker 5: for you guys today, would you rather the USA wins
- 27:08Speaker 5: the World Baseball Classic or you find twenty five dollars
- 27:12Speaker 5: in your pocket the next time you put on pants?
- 27:15Speaker 1: Oh wow, Yeah, that's a great question. USA advanced because
- 27:21Speaker 1: who won?
- 27:22Speaker 2: Someone won? I don't know, Ita, we won.
- 27:24Speaker 1: They have no business being in this tournament in the
- 27:26Speaker 1: United States and not taking it.
- 27:27Speaker 4: Seriously, And it's tough for me to answer this coming
- 27:30Speaker 4: off the heels of the loss of Myron Gardener over
- 27:33Speaker 4: four field goals made.
- 27:35Speaker 2: I really could use that twenty five dollars.
- 27:37Speaker 4: I like to chip away at some of my losses.
- 27:41Speaker 4: It was a free play, yeah, but I needed the
- 27:46Speaker 4: way that I got The one hundred dollars bonus bet
- 27:48Speaker 4: was so stupid, right, I.
- 27:50Speaker 2: Needed that hundred back, Myron Gardener. So you taking the
- 27:55Speaker 2: twenty five?
- 27:58Speaker 4: How much enjoyment am I going to get if USA
- 28:02Speaker 4: wins the World Baseball Classic?
- 28:04Speaker 2: That's the question.
- 28:05Speaker 4: Obviously, Am I going to get twenty five dollars or
- 28:08Speaker 4: more worth of enjoyment?
- 28:10Speaker 2: Right?
- 28:11Speaker 4: If Team USA wins the World Baseball Classic?
- 28:14Speaker 2: Right now?
- 28:14Speaker 1: Hawk, this is an unexpected like finding money in your
- 28:18Speaker 1: pants pocket is one of the underrated great feelings of
- 28:21Speaker 1: a feelings, great feeling.
- 28:23Speaker 4: Yes, so would the World Baseball Classic deliver more enjoyment
- 28:33Speaker 4: than that feeling of finding twenty five dollars?
- 28:38Speaker 1: He's really thinking about it, telling your pocket right, because.
- 28:41Speaker 5: This twenty five is the perfect number, because I think
- 28:47Speaker 5: anything more than twenty five you're taking the dollar amount right?
- 28:50Speaker 4: Twenty five makes it think because what could you really
- 28:52Speaker 4: do with twenty five dollars. Twenty five dollars, I can
- 28:54Speaker 4: go downstairs and get navocado toast cappuccino and leave a
- 28:57Speaker 4: nice tip.
- 29:00Speaker 2: So now I have to really extrapolate this out.
- 29:03Speaker 4: Am I gonna get more enjoyment on an avocado toast
- 29:07Speaker 4: cappuccino and leaving a nice tip for Mida.
- 29:14Speaker 2: Or the first name basis?
- 29:16Speaker 4: Because am I gonna watch the entire final of the
- 29:19Speaker 4: World Baseball Classic?
- 29:20Speaker 2: Or am I just gonna watch like the last inning? Right?
- 29:24Speaker 4: And then let's say they win? Yeah, and Pete crow Armstrong. See,
- 29:30Speaker 4: here's the thing. I do have a future play on
- 29:33Speaker 4: Pete crow Armstrong, MVP of the World Baseball Classic. Nice
- 29:38Speaker 4: and I think it's at like plus two thousand or something.
- 29:40Speaker 1: And he doesn't get that unless they win, right, he
- 29:42Speaker 1: doesn't have a chance of getting it in less than.
- 29:44Speaker 4: One I'm gonna go I'm gonna take the World Baseball Classic.
- 29:46Speaker 4: I'm gonna World Baseball Classic win for Team USA.
- 29:50Speaker 1: Let me try it this way, and I think about
- 29:52Speaker 1: it Thursday. Okay, let me let me try it this
- 29:55Speaker 1: way ten years from that. If I asked you, hey,
- 29:58Speaker 1: ten years ago, who won the World Baseball Classic. There's
- 30:03Speaker 1: a good chance you're not remembering. But if I say,
- 30:06Speaker 1: ten years from la ha, you remember.
- 30:08Speaker 6: That time you pound twenty five bucks in your pants pocket,
- 30:12Speaker 6: You'll be able to narrow it down to the day
- 30:14Speaker 6: a time.
- 30:15Speaker 2: I mean, it's a fair argument.
- 30:19Speaker 4: In that moment, though, right right dah, I'm gonna I'm
- 30:24Speaker 4: gonna go with Team USA winning the World Baseball Classic.
- 30:27Speaker 2: I'm gonna I'm gonna.
- 30:28Speaker 4: Say it like if I extrapolate it out further, would
- 30:32Speaker 4: you pay twenty five dollars out of your pocket to
- 30:37Speaker 4: ensure Team USA wins the World Baseball Classic?
- 30:43Speaker 1: H No, I mean DeRosa doesn't deserve my twenty five dollars.
- 30:48Speaker 2: I mean other rules.
- 30:50Speaker 5: And I think Italy's becoming America's team.
- 30:53Speaker 1: They are well gause they're all born in America.
- 30:56Speaker 2: Would you pay you're a Jets fan stwo guys? Yeah?
- 31:00Speaker 4: Would you pay one thousand dollars out of your pocket
- 31:05Speaker 4: to ensure the Jets win the Super Bowl next season?
- 31:09Speaker 1: I mean, I would like these things that happen naturally
- 31:11Speaker 1: without me having to pay money for it.
- 31:14Speaker 4: But you're gonna get more than one thousand dollars worth
- 31:16Speaker 4: of enjoyment out of a Super Bowl season from your
- 31:18Speaker 4: football team.
- 31:19Speaker 2: Oh hack, I would easily pay a thousand dollars, pay
- 31:21Speaker 2: more ten thousand, yes for the jenny five thousand, twenty.
- 31:27Speaker 1: Five thousand, Yeah, I would really yeah, twenty five thousand.
- 31:34Speaker 2: Yes. Don't ask me to go higher because I'm not.
- 31:38Speaker 2: I mean, this is like.
- 31:40Speaker 4: The uh, like the auction for the for the stone
- 31:44Speaker 4: in uncut gems.
- 31:45Speaker 2: I would give them fifty.
- 31:48Speaker 4: You would go twenty five thousand dollars to ensure the
- 31:51Speaker 4: Jets win the Super Bowl?
- 31:55Speaker 2: You'd have to cut one check. Yeah I would.
- 31:57Speaker 1: I definitely would yes, to ensure that I get to
- 32:00Speaker 1: see my favorite football team, my favorite sports team win
- 32:03Speaker 1: a Super Bowl.
- 32:05Speaker 2: Because otherwise they have no shot. Like, if I'm not paying.
- 32:08Speaker 1: For it, I'm never gonna see it happen. So yeah,
- 32:10Speaker 1: I would do it. I guess yes.
- 32:12Speaker 5: What about your penis?
- 32:16Speaker 2: Keep it or cut it off? Right?
- 32:17Speaker 4: Would you pay twenty five thousand dollars to see your penis?
- 32:21Speaker 2: I let someone cut it off for twenty five kt.
- 32:27Speaker 2: My wife would take five bucks for me to cut
- 32:29Speaker 2: it off.
- 32:31Speaker 1: Oh my god, my wife would drain all the accounts
- 32:36Speaker 1: to get that thing off of me.
