Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Welcome to the Guitar Jet Podcast, where you'll skyrocket your
- 0:03Speaker 1: knowledge of theory, techniques, and fundamentals for guitar. Hey, it's Myles,
- 0:10Speaker 1: and today I'm going to tell you how you can
- 0:12Speaker 1: incorporate scales and sequences into your guitar practice so that
- 0:17Speaker 1: you can easily improve your guitar playing in just like
- 0:19Speaker 1: 10 minutes a day. And this is a really straightforward idea.
- 0:22Speaker 1: You just pick a chord, such as E minor, and
- 0:26Speaker 1: then over that chord, you can play a five-note scale,
- 0:30Speaker 1: a seven-note scale, and an arpeggio sequence. For example, over
- 0:36Speaker 1: the E minor chord, you could play the E minor
- 0:39Speaker 1: pentatonic scale, which is a five-note scale, the E natural
- 0:43Speaker 1: minor scale, which is a seven-note scale, and then an
- 0:47Speaker 1: E minor arpeggio, because that's the root arpeggio, you could
- 0:52Speaker 1: call it. And this can easily be done in 10
- 0:54Speaker 1: minutes a day or less, and it will help you improvise,
- 0:58Speaker 1: write solos, and improve your guitar playing. Thank you so
- 1:01Speaker 1: much for listening to the podcast. Subscribe to the show
- 1:05Speaker 1: and have a fantastic day.
