- 0:54Speaker 4: Edwards on the Ron Everwids American Experience as Today we
- 0:57Speaker 4: have a treat We have Congressman John Jay on the line.
- 1:01Speaker 4: He is the Michigan Republican candidate for governor. And good afternoon, Congressman.
- 1:07Speaker 4: How are you today.
- 1:09Speaker 5: I'm doing wonderfully, well blessed and highly favorite.
- 1:11Speaker 4: Thanks for having me, all right, Amen, Amen, congratulations on
- 1:16Speaker 4: your stunning victory. We're looking forward to a new Michigan
- 1:19Speaker 4: come January. Times. Let's bring you on today to talk
- 1:24Speaker 4: to you about just your plans for Michigan once you're elected,
- 1:29Speaker 4: some of the things that you may see wrong with
- 1:31Speaker 4: Michigan right now, and how you plan to deal with
- 1:34Speaker 4: tasks on fifth again.
- 1:37Speaker 5: Yeah, I actually see more things right with Michigan. Michigan
- 1:42Speaker 5: is the best place in the world. We're surrounded by
- 1:44Speaker 5: fresh water, we have an amazing environment, we have all
- 1:46Speaker 5: the ingredients, but we are being failed by leadership in Landsling.
- 1:51Speaker 5: There's more right with Michigan than wrong, and there are
- 1:54Speaker 5: ten million reasons why Michigan is going to not just
- 1:57Speaker 5: survive but thrive in the future. Those are the people
- 2:00Speaker 5: in the state of Michigan, the people all over the
- 2:02Speaker 5: state who are demanding leadership who works as hard as them.
- 2:06Speaker 5: I believe very strongly that we need to stop socialism.
- 2:10Speaker 5: We need to save Michigan by focusing specifically on things
- 2:13Speaker 5: that everybody needs, that everybody can agree to, things like
- 2:17Speaker 5: having safer streets and communities, things like having excellent schools
- 2:20Speaker 5: and education, and things like tackling the affordability issues by
- 2:24Speaker 5: doing things like lowering taxes, having better jobs with higher pay,
- 2:28Speaker 5: and going after the healthcare, housing, and energy costs that
- 2:32Speaker 5: have ballooned under this administration. I'm excited at the opportunity
- 2:35Speaker 5: to lead all ten million Michiganders because these are the
- 2:38Speaker 5: types of things that really truly matter in the real
- 2:41Speaker 5: world for folks who've been hurting for so long.
- 2:45Speaker 4: So tell me about your first one hundred and twenty
- 2:49Speaker 4: days in office. What are your priorities to help Michigan
- 2:52Speaker 4: get back on track.
- 2:54Speaker 5: Well, the first thing we need to do is address education,
- 2:57Speaker 5: and on day one going to be opting in to
- 3:02Speaker 5: the working family tax cuts, the tax Freedom tax credit.
- 3:09Speaker 5: That's something we passed last year that Gretchen Whitmer could
- 3:12Speaker 5: opt into on day one. This is seventeen dollars tax free,
- 3:18Speaker 5: no strings that are going to other states that a
- 3:21Speaker 5: governor can opt into that Gretchen Whimer is not doing.
- 3:25Speaker 5: This is money that our parents can use to sit
- 3:28Speaker 5: in their child where they will be safest and most successful.
- 3:31Speaker 5: These are resources that could go to tutoring, additional school supplies,
- 3:36Speaker 5: things that will help the children be successful and safe.
- 3:40Speaker 5: I'm going to be opting into that on day one.
- 3:43Speaker 5: I'm also making sure that I put in place a
- 3:47Speaker 5: cabinet and administration that recognizes that Lansing works for the locals,
- 3:52Speaker 5: not the other way around, recognizes that our government needs
- 3:57Speaker 5: to be customer service obsessed, change the culture so that
- 4:01Speaker 5: we're we're focusing on doing the things uh to to
- 4:04Speaker 5: change this trajectory around where we're going. So again we're
- 4:09Speaker 5: going to be focusing squarely on putting an administration in
- 4:13Speaker 5: place that will return the rights and good service to
- 4:16Speaker 5: the people. I firmly believe that the best government is fair,
- 4:21Speaker 5: efficient and limited, making sure that we are we're executing
- 4:26Speaker 5: according to what's best for the people, protecting the rights
- 4:30Speaker 5: of the individuals, and also of course prioritizing education. Uh
- 4:35Speaker 5: in that as well.
- 4:39Speaker 4: And when it comes to jobs and business, I think,
- 4:42Speaker 4: you know, Michigan is situated in one of the best
- 4:45Speaker 4: places in the country room international border, which I think
- 4:48Speaker 4: is very underutilized. You know, there's not a good inducive
- 4:53Speaker 4: business model for businesses to actually come in. So how
- 4:58Speaker 4: do you plan to address to get business says back
- 5:00Speaker 4: into Michigan and bringing it back our middle clients.
- 5:05Speaker 5: Yeah, this is something that I've dealt with. I've actually
- 5:08Speaker 5: created jobs, and I think that before you become a
- 5:10Speaker 5: CEO of a state, maybe you should have run a
- 5:13Speaker 5: business before. You know, I come from a world where
- 5:16Speaker 5: experience matters, and my opponent has not had the occasion
- 5:20Speaker 5: to develop the skill set to understand what it actually
- 5:23Speaker 5: takes to create economic development. See, because here's the key.
- 5:26Speaker 5: Economic development is not just about brick and mortar. It's
- 5:29Speaker 5: about flesh and blood. It's about making sure that we
- 5:32Speaker 5: can create pipelines of prosperity to folks who've been hurting
- 5:35Speaker 5: and disappointed from inner city Detroit to rural Upper Peninsula.
- 5:40Speaker 5: These are areas black or white, gay, straight, male female
- 5:43Speaker 5: Upper Lower Peninsula who deserve to have economic opportunity. And
- 5:47Speaker 5: the way you do that is you have to change
- 5:49Speaker 5: the environment, philosophy, and culture in Landing. And the only
- 5:53Speaker 5: thing that I've ever been able to see that can
- 5:55Speaker 5: change all three of those things is leadership, proven tested leadership.
- 5:58Speaker 5: So as far as change the environment in Michigan, we
- 6:01Speaker 5: have to have the tax reform, we have to have
- 6:03Speaker 5: the tort or the insurance reform, and we have to
- 6:06Speaker 5: have the regulatory reform so that we are keeping prices low,
- 6:09Speaker 5: we are keeping competition fair, and that we are keeping
- 6:14Speaker 5: we're keeping everybody able to grow and thrive with that environment.
- 6:19Speaker 5: Right now, Michigan is downright adversarial to business and that
- 6:23Speaker 5: hurts job creation in wage growth. By looking at the taxes,
- 6:29Speaker 5: lowering taxes, looking at lowering harmful regulations, this is going
- 6:34Speaker 5: to lower prices and create an opportunity for the businesses
- 6:37Speaker 5: that we have to stay and others to come, which
- 6:40Speaker 5: leads to the changing philosophy. This administration is frankly wasted
- 6:46Speaker 5: over one point eight billion dollars to create about six
- 6:49Speaker 5: hundred jobs. Imagine what you and your community could do
- 6:54Speaker 5: with a fraction of that amount. I believe very strongly
- 6:57Speaker 5: in changing the philosophy to retention, then reclamation, than recruiting.
- 7:01Speaker 5: Right now, with this overspending on corporate welfare and these
- 7:06Speaker 5: task giveaways, they're having to do that because of the
- 7:09Speaker 5: business environment that is not favorable for job growth of
- 7:12Speaker 5: all sides. If we change our philosophy, then we're going
- 7:17Speaker 5: to have growth. Frankly, the current situation in Michigan doesn't
- 7:20Speaker 5: lend itself to growth of any business size. You cannot
- 7:24Speaker 5: bribe people enough money to make value destroying decisions. So
- 7:28Speaker 5: we're going to focus on keeping the businesses that we
- 7:30Speaker 5: have here, making it easier for small businesses to stay
- 7:35Speaker 5: and grow and large businesses to continue to offer jobs
- 7:39Speaker 5: to the largest amounts of people. And we're going to
- 7:42Speaker 5: grow our tax base rather than growing our tax rate.
- 7:44Speaker 5: And then finally, culture, it's changed the culture to a
- 7:47Speaker 5: customer service obsessed culture, one that recognizes that lansing works
- 7:52Speaker 5: for the locals, lancing works for the people, and specifically
- 7:56Speaker 5: access to contracts, access to capital, and also a concierge
- 8:01Speaker 5: approach to compliance, repealing the harmful red tape that we
- 8:05Speaker 5: have out there, and then some of the things that
- 8:07Speaker 5: we do have, let's help our small businesses in particular
- 8:11Speaker 5: navigate that and not have such a punitive approach. These
- 8:16Speaker 5: are the types of things that are going to create
- 8:18Speaker 5: more opportunities, is going to increase affordability, is going to
- 8:20Speaker 5: have economic growth, and it's going to make Michigan the
- 8:24Speaker 5: powerhouse that we deserve to be and that we once were.
- 8:28Speaker 4: Man, Now you know we had met. We talked about
- 8:32Speaker 4: Detroit and other disenfranchised areas within the state, whether it's
- 8:36Speaker 4: places in the up or down here in the Detroit area.
- 8:41Speaker 4: And you know, it's pleasantly surprised when we talk because
- 8:46Speaker 4: you know, it's typically an idol or a thing. And
- 8:49Speaker 4: I want you to talk about your exclusiveness for all
- 8:52Speaker 4: of Michigan. And I think that's important for people to
- 8:54Speaker 4: understand that you're not divisive in your thinking and you're
- 8:58Speaker 4: thinking of all Michigan, not just one segment.
- 9:03Speaker 5: Yeah, man, I look, I don't care if you're a black, white, gay,
- 9:05Speaker 5: straight male, female, or Democrat or Republican. I'm a combat veteran,
- 9:11Speaker 5: uh and I fought for Americans and to keep them safe.
- 9:17Speaker 5: Nobody cared when they call for my help. They didn't
- 9:21Speaker 5: care that I was black. I didn't care about their
- 9:25Speaker 5: race color creed either. We're all Americans, and so I'm
- 9:28Speaker 5: dedicated to serving all Americans UH, submitting to the Lord
- 9:33Speaker 5: and making sure that we have a state that works
- 9:35Speaker 5: for everybody, all ten million of us. When I was
- 9:38Speaker 5: in business, I created jobs for everybody with the with
- 9:41Speaker 5: the help of a great team UH and and by
- 9:44Speaker 5: the grace of God, I'm looking forward to helping to
- 9:47Speaker 5: create economic opportunity for everyone. And as a Congressman, I've
- 9:50Speaker 5: had to serve in southeast Michigan, in a purple district,
- 9:54Speaker 5: in a Macomb Oakland County district. I have areas of
- 9:57Speaker 5: people who didn't vote for me. I have areas of
- 10:00Speaker 5: people who did. But I was able to get resources
- 10:02Speaker 5: back for Warren and uh and and for East Point
- 10:07Speaker 5: and and for Mount Clemens the same way I was
- 10:09Speaker 5: able to get resources back for Rochester, Rochester Hills, Shelby
- 10:12Speaker 5: Township and everywhere in between. And I got nearly three
- 10:16Speaker 5: hundred million dollars back for Selfridge and help the President
- 10:19Speaker 5: and get a fighter mission UH to to self International
- 10:23Speaker 5: Guard base. Those are things that are going to benefit everybody.
- 10:27Speaker 5: And so when you have somebody who can say.
- 10:29Speaker 6: That they've delivered regardless for everybody, that's what we're gonna
- 10:32Speaker 6: need in the next few years, delivering as governor.
- 10:37Speaker 4: Exactly liberty and.

- 14:52Speaker 10: host for sitting in for me and wishing everyone a
- 14:56Speaker 10: blessed day. I'll be back soon.
- 15:04Speaker 3: It's the Ron Edwards American Experienced Talk Show where our
- 15:08Speaker 3: unalienable rights are celebrated.
- 15:16Speaker 4: Ryan Johnson, Ryan Johnson coming back with Congressman John James.
- 15:25Speaker 4: After that commercial break, tis mean you still with us?
- 15:28Speaker 5: I am all right.
- 15:31Speaker 4: Before we had to go to commercial break, I was
- 15:33Speaker 4: saying that that was amazing what you did at Selfridge.
- 15:36Speaker 4: I understand that you you brought back to Lifelines for Selfridge,
- 15:42Speaker 4: and uh.
- 15:45Speaker 5: Yeah, it was certainly a team effort. But the President
- 15:48Speaker 5: is a man of his word. He he came in
- 15:51Speaker 5: and uh we had a conversation goodness six years ago
- 15:55Speaker 5: and uh before he came in, he asked me what
- 15:57Speaker 5: he what he could do in the area, and we
- 15:59Speaker 5: talked about, among many other things, fighters at selfish and
- 16:02Speaker 5: savor selfish in National Guard base. So when he came
- 16:05Speaker 5: into a rally of warrant after we spoke, he talked
- 16:07Speaker 5: about delivering very fast planes. Well, he came back and
- 16:11Speaker 5: within his it took a little while because of some
- 16:15Speaker 5: other stuff that happened, but in his first one hundred
- 16:21Speaker 5: days of this presidency, he made good on his promise
- 16:24Speaker 5: and he said that we're going to be getting F
- 16:27Speaker 5: fifteen ex fighters in addition to the tanker mission and
- 16:31Speaker 5: the money that I've been able to get back that
- 16:34Speaker 5: nearly three hundred million dollars is the top in the nation,
- 16:39Speaker 5: and I think that's a down payment on what we
- 16:43Speaker 5: Michigan has contributed to this nation. This is going to
- 16:46Speaker 5: do more than just help Selfridge, but it's going to
- 16:49Speaker 5: really help the economy of Southeast Michigan and the entire
- 16:53Speaker 5: state as a whole. And that's just the start. I've
- 16:56Speaker 5: gotten money back for the sulaps that also help helps
- 17:00Speaker 5: Michigan's economy, but also up up north. I've also helped
- 17:04Speaker 5: get resources back for people from the irs, getting passports
- 17:09Speaker 5: done twenty million dollars for folks in the district. And
- 17:11Speaker 5: for a state Michigan where forty percent of our budget
- 17:14Speaker 5: comes from the federal government. Having a governor who has
- 17:18Speaker 5: experienced bringing resources back out of Washington that we've been
- 17:22Speaker 5: paying into it is something that's very, very important. We
- 17:26Speaker 5: need to make sure that we continue to be first
- 17:29Speaker 5: in line rather than laugh to the trough because we
- 17:32Speaker 5: have infrastructure issues take care of, we have health and
- 17:35Speaker 5: education issues to take care of, and we need to
- 17:38Speaker 5: make sure that we're at the front of the line.
- 17:39Speaker 5: And that's something that I'm looking forward to continue working and.
- 17:41Speaker 4: Delivering one wonderful if we can revisit a real quick
- 17:46Speaker 4: we talked about taxes, and you know, I think people
- 17:50Speaker 4: believe in Michigan that we're over taxed. We have a
- 17:53Speaker 4: fifty two cent per gallon gas tax and some other things.
- 17:57Speaker 4: Do you plan only tax reforms in Michigan.
- 18:00Speaker 5: Of course, I hate taxes, but I recognize they're necessary. Evil.
- 18:07Speaker 5: But like I said, if we get back to the
- 18:09Speaker 5: role and size of government that's right size and appropriate. Again,
- 18:14Speaker 5: I believe the best government is fair, efficient and limited.
- 18:17Speaker 5: And so the first thing I'm going to be doing
- 18:19Speaker 5: in year one is we're going to be going after
- 18:22Speaker 5: We're gonna be going after wasteful spending and lowering your
- 18:25Speaker 5: personal income taxes to start, and this is how we're
- 18:28Speaker 5: going to do it. It's not going to be political
- 18:30Speaker 5: talking points or gimmicks, but I'm going to be going
- 18:34Speaker 5: after the pork. So think of the acronym PIG, PI
- 18:37Speaker 5: G so P.
- 18:39Speaker 6: This is the.
- 18:39Speaker 5: Politician's pet projects and lansing. We can cut that. That's
- 18:43Speaker 5: one point five billion dollars I Improper payments and fraud.
- 18:47Speaker 5: That's point eight five billion dollars g general funds that
- 18:51Speaker 5: are unspent, that is PIG. Those come up two point
- 18:55Speaker 5: sixty five billion dollars for a total of up to
- 18:58Speaker 5: three billion dollars that we can cut in year one.
- 19:01Speaker 5: That would take your personal income tax rate down to
- 19:03Speaker 5: the threes. That makes us more competitive with other states
- 19:06Speaker 5: like Indiana and Ohio, and that makes it that you
- 19:09Speaker 5: put more money back in your pocket. And now that's
- 19:12Speaker 5: just to start. That's just to start. Because Gretchen Whitmer
- 19:15Speaker 5: is spending twenty billion dollars more per year than she's
- 19:19Speaker 5: spent during the height of COVID, and she also has
- 19:22Speaker 5: fifty percent more in her budget than she got from
- 19:25Speaker 5: rich Schnyder. Do you feel like your roads are fifty
- 19:27Speaker 5: percent better? How about your schools? How about your healthcare?
- 19:31Speaker 5: No one in the state of Michigans can say that
- 19:33Speaker 5: anything is fifty percent better, But that's what they're wasting.
- 19:36Speaker 5: And so after that first year of returning that we'll
- 19:39Speaker 5: be able to put more money back into your pocket
- 19:41Speaker 5: without touching vital services like Medicaid, touching vital services like
- 19:47Speaker 5: our infrastructure improvement, because we do have an infrastructure that's
- 19:50Speaker 5: failing all around us. Our roads are still crumbling, our
- 19:53Speaker 5: water and sewer services are crumbling under our feet, and
- 19:56Speaker 5: our grid is among the worst in the nation. We
- 20:00Speaker 5: can do the initial cuts without touching those vital services,
- 20:03Speaker 5: and then when we get to see what we're dealing with,
- 20:07Speaker 5: we'll be able to return more money to the people,
- 20:10Speaker 5: be able to invest and focus on what the role
- 20:12Speaker 5: of state government should be, and then making sure that
- 20:16Speaker 5: we're protecting our rights, returning money to the people, and
- 20:18Speaker 5: still delivering those services. But that is the first step.
- 20:22Speaker 5: I believe again in what we've talked about initially ryan
- 20:26Speaker 5: with getting the better environment, philosophy and culture we'll be
- 20:29Speaker 5: able to attract more business here so that we can
- 20:32Speaker 5: lower our tax rate, specifically talking about property taxes, because
- 20:37Speaker 5: our seniors are being pinched and also our young people
- 20:40Speaker 5: are leaving the state. When you don't address property taxes,
- 20:44Speaker 5: you hurt both our young people and our seniors, and
- 20:47Speaker 5: that cannot continue.
- 20:49Speaker 6: So if a.
- 20:50Speaker 5: Guy like Nick Shirley, a nineteen year old journalist, can
- 20:54Speaker 5: find nine billion dollars worth in fraud in the state
- 20:58Speaker 5: of Minnesota, a state that has sixty percent of our
- 21:01Speaker 5: budget and fifty percent of our population, trust me. With
- 21:04Speaker 5: Gretchen Whitmer, who's spending exorbitant money above what she should,
- 21:09Speaker 5: we're going to be able to find enough money to
- 21:11Speaker 5: make sure that we returned to the rightful owners, which
- 21:15Speaker 5: is the people.
- 21:18Speaker 4: Now, I know you've got to go parts, So let's
- 21:20Speaker 4: can you take her one more or two more questions
- 21:22Speaker 4: from me?
- 21:23Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 21:23Speaker 5: Sure.
- 21:24Speaker 4: We talked about the young people. How do you envision
- 21:28Speaker 4: getting young people, our talents to stay in Michigan and
- 21:31Speaker 4: bringing more to us from outside of Michigan when it
- 21:35Speaker 4: comes to our young people.
- 21:38Speaker 5: Yeah, I think that our young people, I mean we
- 21:41Speaker 5: have to remember, I mean, once upon a time we
- 21:43Speaker 5: were young, right, what did we want? We wanted We
- 21:47Speaker 5: wanted the opportunity to have good schools, We wanted public safety,
- 21:54Speaker 5: we wanted economic opportunity, we wanted just basic things. All
- 22:00Speaker 5: we have to do is look at what's going on
- 22:02Speaker 5: in the states that young people are leaving for. These
- 22:06Speaker 5: are red states with low taxes, lower regulations, and frankly,
- 22:12Speaker 5: eight of the top ten states that are growing are
- 22:15Speaker 5: run by Republican governors, and the states that are shrinking
- 22:18Speaker 5: are run by Democrat governors. Young people are just looking
- 22:21Speaker 5: for a hope, they're looking for a lifeline, they're looking
- 22:24Speaker 5: for a start. And I mean, now you have young
- 22:27Speaker 5: people who are moving to California because there's more opportunity.
- 22:30Speaker 5: California is the eleven spots better than us. According to
- 22:34Speaker 5: US News and World Report, Michigan is forty second in infrastructure,
- 22:38Speaker 5: forty third in the economy, forty fifth in schools, forty
- 22:42Speaker 5: sixth overall. And we're talking about trying to attract people.
- 22:45Speaker 5: Come on, now, we have to make sure that Michigan
- 22:48Speaker 5: is a place where everybody cannot just survive, but thrive.
- 22:52Speaker 5: And I think that when you put the reforms in
- 22:54Speaker 5: place that will lower costs and pre supportability, public safety,
- 22:59Speaker 5: and have excellent schools. I think our young people are
- 23:02Speaker 5: going to continue to move back here because this is
- 23:04Speaker 5: going to be the place once again where they cannot
- 23:07Speaker 5: pursue the American dream bank man.
- 23:11Speaker 4: And one of my last questions to you, we've talked
- 23:13Speaker 4: about businesses coming back, what is your plan for the
- 23:18Speaker 4: mom and pops. You know, communities strive off of mom
- 23:22Speaker 4: and pop businesses, small family businesses, which is kind of
- 23:26Speaker 4: a dying greed nowadays. But we know that communities don't
- 23:30Speaker 4: really thrive if you don't have that.
- 23:34Speaker 5: Yeah, So the first thing is is somebody who has
- 23:37Speaker 5: benefited from entrepreneurship and education, somebody who was able to
- 23:42Speaker 5: help grow a business in Detroit working with his family. Again, specifically,
- 23:48Speaker 5: we need to change the culture and lansing customer service
- 23:52Speaker 5: obsessed culture, and I think that particularly with small businesses,
- 23:57Speaker 5: lowering regulations that are armful. These are the types of
- 24:01Speaker 5: things that small businesses really struggle with because they don't
- 24:05Speaker 5: necessarily have the bench of lawyers to help with these,
- 24:10Speaker 5: with lawsuits and regulations and so really having a concierge
- 24:15Speaker 5: approach to compliance. We need to have increased access to capital,
- 24:21Speaker 5: and we also need access to contracts. These are things
- 24:24Speaker 5: that other states are.
- 24:25Speaker 6: Doing so that our small and medium businesses can compete
- 24:30Speaker 6: and frankly know where the opportunities.
- 24:36Speaker 4: Okay, well we are going off or break and we'll
- 24:39Speaker 4: be right back.
- 24:45Speaker 13: Anyway.

- 28:25Speaker 10: and early twentieth century. Washington founded the Tuskegee Institute in
- 28:29Speaker 10: eighteen eighty one, which he helped build into a prestigious
- 28:32Speaker 10: school for black students in Alabama. Washington believed invocational education
- 28:37Speaker 10: as a path to economic empowerment and self reliance for
- 28:40Speaker 10: black Americans. He advised US Presidents Theodore Roosevelt and William
- 28:44Speaker 10: Howard Taft regarding racial matters, making him one of the
- 28:47Speaker 10: first black advisors to a US president since Frederick Douglas.
- 28:51Speaker 10: Mister Washington found of the Neuro Business League to support

- 30:06Speaker 7: Ron Edward the new voice of America.
- 30:14Speaker 4: Max Bray. This is Ryan Johnson, Phillian for Ron Edwards,
- 30:17Speaker 4: and we just got a home with Congressan John James.
- 30:21Speaker 4: I think that he has a very good vision for
- 30:24Speaker 4: Michigan and for business education and for families. We're in
- 30:30Speaker 4: a time right now where our children in the inner cities,
- 30:33Speaker 4: whether it's in Detroit, Pontiac or in the ut, they
- 30:38Speaker 4: can't read it right. On the third grade level. We
- 30:41Speaker 4: have families that are falling apart with no assistance, no help,
- 30:46Speaker 4: and so we want to help get things together in
- 30:50Speaker 4: the state of Michigan. And I'm so happy that the
- 30:52Speaker 4: Congressmans had time to come on. If we have any
- 30:57Speaker 4: callers out there, you can call in to the phone
- 31:02Speaker 4: and let's talk about what's going on in Michigan or
- 31:05Speaker 4: other states. Right now, the tall in number is going
- 31:11Speaker 4: to be two zero three, two one six sixty one
- 31:19Speaker 4: zero zero, and so let's look at some things going
- 31:24Speaker 4: around the country right now. Around the world, let's uh
- 31:27Speaker 4: talk about things that's going on in the Middle East
- 31:31Speaker 4: with Iran. I think the president stand on Iran has
- 31:35Speaker 4: been very great. He's given them grace to get theirself together.
- 31:39Speaker 4: But I think ultimately the President's plan for Iran is
- 31:44Speaker 4: actually genius. We're actually taking control of the oil production.
- 31:51Speaker 4: We're making people come back to America for oil. We
- 31:56Speaker 4: should have been in the first place with Iran, China
- 31:59Speaker 4: and Russia devaluing the American dollar, and I think the
- 32:04Speaker 4: President's plan with this is is wonderful. We're going through
- 32:10Speaker 4: some things, but you know it's temporary. Nor having a
- 32:32Speaker 4: little technical difficulty. If you can give me a moment,
- 32:41Speaker 4: and our next caller that we have and our next caller,
- 32:45Speaker 4: we're gonna have doctor Linda Farvara on. She's an educational person.
- 32:51Speaker 4: She's written two books for the President, and we're getting
- 32:56Speaker 4: her on the line now so that she can talk
- 32:59Speaker 4: to us about her why she wrote and and why
- 33:02Speaker 4: she felt it important to do it. And I want
- 33:12Speaker 4: to really thank Ron for giving me the opportunity to
- 33:14Speaker 4: come on, and we're trying to get our next caller on,
- 33:17Speaker 4: so forgive me. I wanted to do a show where
- 33:20Speaker 4: we had people come on that can enlighten us on
- 33:23Speaker 4: some things that they're doing around the country and that
- 33:25Speaker 4: they're doing for the country. And so which is holding
- 33:29Speaker 4: on right now? As we get in touch with doctor
- 33:31Speaker 4: Linda Tarboro. Okay, doctor Tarboro, how are you?
- 33:36Speaker 13: I'm great? How are you?
- 33:39Speaker 4: I am doing well? Thank you for coming on. I
- 33:42Speaker 4: was going on a wing and a friend too. We
- 33:43Speaker 4: got you. I wanted to bring young doctor Tarboro. You know,
- 33:52Speaker 4: we've had many conversations over the year, and I really
- 33:55Speaker 4: admire your commitment to this country, to the state, and
- 33:58Speaker 4: also to the children. But what I wanted to bring
- 34:01Speaker 4: you on today. You wrote two books today, so tell
- 34:03Speaker 4: us the title of your books.
- 34:06Speaker 13: So I was delighted to be an author in twenty eighteen,
- 34:10Speaker 13: and two books there was. My first book was Died
- 34:15Speaker 13: in the World, the political Christian book, and a children's
- 34:20Speaker 13: book that I wrote in twenty eighteen, Jesus who was
- 34:25Speaker 13: Christmas is born. So I was delighted for that. And
- 34:28Speaker 13: then the Lord pressed upon my heart to really write
- 34:32Speaker 13: two books again. They were introduced this year in April,
- 34:40Speaker 13: and so I am delighted to have them. One is
- 34:44Speaker 13: called Shall I Pursue? And the other is All the
- 34:50Speaker 13: President's Men? And so they both came out in April
- 34:54Speaker 13: of this year, and they are Christian books. I consider,
- 35:02Speaker 13: of all my accomplishments, being a Sunday school teacher as
- 35:05Speaker 13: one of those. And it's a passion to teach young people,
- 35:09Speaker 13: to children and adults the Word of God rightly dividing
- 35:13Speaker 13: the Word of God. But the Lord, I've been in
- 35:15Speaker 13: politics for thirty two years and I really wanted to
- 35:19Speaker 13: illuminate what the Lord was doing in our election of
- 35:24Speaker 13: twenty twenty four, that was a very deviceive election, and
- 35:31Speaker 13: the Lord told me to publish it in twenty twenty four,
- 35:35Speaker 13: and I held off and I should have, but I did,
- 35:38Speaker 13: and I published it this year. So shall I pursue?
- 35:43Speaker 13: That is out of for Samuel thirty and that was
- 35:47Speaker 13: the Battle of ver zick Lang. And then shortly after that,
- 35:54Speaker 13: All the President's Men was inspired and I said, Lord,
- 35:58Speaker 13: I'm just going to publish them at the same time. Time.
- 36:01Speaker 13: It deals with loyalty, and that is out of Second
- 36:05Speaker 13: Samuel twenty three. So those are the two books, and
- 36:09Speaker 13: I'd be happy to talk about them and answer any
- 36:13Speaker 13: questions that you might have.
- 36:16Speaker 5: Let's start.
- 36:16Speaker 4: Let's so let's talk about the books. Let's let's start
- 36:19Speaker 4: with shaw I pursue. I read it and I was
- 36:23Speaker 4: very impressed by it. And one of the things that
- 36:26Speaker 4: I was impressed by is that you came from a
- 36:29Speaker 4: biblical perspective, which is, you know that's not often done,
- 36:33Speaker 4: and you made it, you tied it in so well together.
- 36:38Speaker 4: So let's talk about that the first book. Shall I pursue?
- 36:43Speaker 4: What was your inspiration? I know that you're very close
- 36:45Speaker 4: to the President, and I know you pray for him
- 36:49Speaker 4: all the time. We have many conversations and you you
- 36:53Speaker 4: know you you you compare them to to David in
- 36:57Speaker 4: your first chapter. So let's talk about.
- 36:59Speaker 13: It, right, And so what I didn't want people to
- 37:04Speaker 13: take away is that, you know, President Trump is not
- 37:07Speaker 13: King David, but he went through an experience similar to
- 37:13Speaker 13: David and I and vocals are basically about David's experiences
- 37:19Speaker 13: and how they lasted. I was David in some of
- 37:23Speaker 13: these looking at parts of my life, and you will
- 37:27Speaker 13: find shall I pursue as even parts of your life
- 37:31Speaker 13: at some of the zick Lag moments of our lives.
- 37:35Speaker 13: But first, Samuel thirty deals with Ziglag and what happened
- 37:40Speaker 13: in zick Lag is David was leaving Saul. He was
- 37:44Speaker 13: running from Saul. Saul was trying to kill him. David
- 37:47Speaker 13: was anointed by Samuel the prophet to be the king,
- 37:51Speaker 13: the next king. The spirit of God left Saul. David
- 37:55Speaker 13: was filled with the Holy Spirit to be anointed before
- 37:58Speaker 13: he took office, but he was fighting with another king,
- 38:04Speaker 13: and that king was so impressed with David because he
- 38:08Speaker 13: was a warrior, that he gave him a land called
- 38:11Speaker 13: zick Lag and said that you can live here. And
- 38:14Speaker 13: so David and his six hundred men were fighting with
- 38:17Speaker 13: this other king. They said, you know, we're going to
- 38:21Speaker 13: attack the Jews, and so they sent them away. David
- 38:26Speaker 13: and his six hundred men not to fight alongside with them.
- 38:32Speaker 13: They sent them back home. Well, when they got back home,
- 38:36Speaker 13: it was burnt in ashes, it was destroyed. All of
- 38:41Speaker 13: the people were gone. And the men and David did
- 38:46Speaker 13: not know if these if their families were killed, kidnap, raped, murdered.
- 38:51Speaker 13: They didn't know. They had come back to zick Lag
- 38:57Speaker 13: and found it destroyed. All their wealth was taken, all
- 39:01Speaker 13: of their property was taken, all of their families were taken.
- 39:07Speaker 13: And you know a lot of people quote a scripture
- 39:11Speaker 13: that David encouraged himself in the Lord. That was the
- 39:13Speaker 13: first Samuel thirty that was Ziglag. And imagine coming home.
- 39:18Speaker 13: Your home is burnt down, your wife and family are gone,
- 39:21Speaker 13: and your dog and cats are gone, your jewelry, all
- 39:25Speaker 13: of your furnishings are gone, and your home is in ashes,
- 39:31Speaker 13: and the people who left with you are thinking, you know,
- 39:36Speaker 13: we're going to kill you. So his men wanted to
- 39:38Speaker 13: kill him, and so the Word of God said that
- 39:41Speaker 13: David had to encourage himself in the Lord. And then
- 39:44Speaker 13: once he got that encouragement, he asked for the ephod,
- 39:49Speaker 13: which is an opportunity of covering to pray to God
- 39:54Speaker 13: and to inquire of the Lord. And the first question
- 39:57Speaker 13: he asked the Lord, seeing every in this belief of his,
- 40:05Speaker 13: his his old zig Lag community is gone, he said,
- 40:11Speaker 13: shall I pursue? And that was the question that I
- 40:16Speaker 13: believe President Trump asked, after having run twice, you know
- 40:23Speaker 13: in twenty sixteen and twenty twenty, after the twenty twenty election,
- 40:29Speaker 13: that you had this situation where there was a lot
- 40:34Speaker 13: of terrible things going on.

- 42:23Speaker 21: Is your portfolio up over one thousand percent since the
- 42:27Speaker 21: year two thousand? Let me ask you that again, because
- 42:30Speaker 21: it sounds a little shocking. Is your investment portfolio up
- 42:33Speaker 21: one thousand percent in the last twenty five years? If
- 42:37Speaker 21: you would have bought ten thousand dollars in physical gold
- 42:40Speaker 21: in the year two thousand and left it in your
- 42:42Speaker 21: retirement account today, that same ten thousand dollars would be
- 42:46Speaker 21: worth one hundred twenty five thousand dollars. Gold is more
- 42:50Speaker 21: stable than stocks and bonds. It's never been worth zero.
- 42:55Speaker 21: It stands up to most political and economic ups and downs.

- 43:20Speaker 5: Hello.
- 43:21Speaker 10: I'm run Edwards. I want to thank my guest host
- 43:24Speaker 10: for sitting in for me and wishing everyone a blessed day.

- 43:30Speaker 8: I can tell you we need most like yours well.
- 43:32Speaker 10: Ron Edwards American Experience, A charter member of the emerging
- 43:37Speaker 10: new mainstream.
- 43:38Speaker 12: Media is not the biggest, but your voices and actions are,
- 43:41Speaker 12: So don't give up.
- 43:50Speaker 5: Listening to the Ron Edwards American Experience.
- 43:53Speaker 15: Man, it doesn't get any better than that.
- 43:58Speaker 4: Oh four bought commercial break, and we're back with doctor
- 44:03Speaker 4: Linda Tarboroth. Doctor's talking about we pursue and yes, we
- 44:09Speaker 4: had to cut you off on a point, so let's
- 44:11Speaker 4: pick back up where we left off.
- 44:13Speaker 13: Yeah, So, just in summary, shall I Pursue? Is about
- 44:17Speaker 13: a pursuit for restoration of what was lost? And I
- 44:21Speaker 13: compared in the book America four years under the Biden administration,
- 44:28Speaker 13: where we had seventy seven genders to where we are now.
- 44:32Speaker 13: The pursuit was worth it. We we did not recognize
- 44:37Speaker 13: America and we don't want to get back there again.
- 44:39Speaker 13: So that's stall I pursue. It's an awesome book. The
- 44:43Speaker 13: next one is All the President's Men. One of the
- 44:46Speaker 13: things that was and I appreciate about President Trump is
- 44:52Speaker 13: that he demands loyalty. Well, the Lord does as well,
- 44:57Speaker 13: so that that there's many scriptures with the Lord looks
- 45:00Speaker 13: to and fro for a heart loyal to him. Loyalty
- 45:03Speaker 13: is an attribute of God. And in Second Samuel twenty three,
- 45:07Speaker 13: the last words of David was not about his victory
- 45:10Speaker 13: over Goliath, it was about his loyal men. And so
- 45:14Speaker 13: I highlight that at the end of his life, David's life,
- 45:18Speaker 13: he is reminiscent of the men who are loyal to him,
- 45:21Speaker 13: willing to fight with him. And so that is about
- 45:24Speaker 13: loyalty and that we should never be ashamed of loyalty
- 45:28Speaker 13: or expecting loyalty. And you could check these out at
- 45:31Speaker 13: my website at doctor Linda Lee Tarbor dot com, doctor
- 45:36Speaker 13: Linda Lee Tarbor dot com, or just Linda Lee Tarbor
- 45:39Speaker 13: dot com and you'll be able to see the website,
- 45:43Speaker 13: but at the bottom of those you'll be able to
- 45:45Speaker 13: see some of the book reviews that are very important
- 45:49Speaker 13: people who've weighed in, who've read the books, and they
- 45:53Speaker 13: will bless you. They're written for patriots, they're written for Christians.
- 45:58Speaker 13: They're not written for the nay say or the unsaved.
- 46:01Speaker 13: But what's important is that you know we should be
- 46:05Speaker 13: consistent in voting our faith and understanding the times that
- 46:09Speaker 13: we live in, and that the Lord allows us to
- 46:14Speaker 13: see trends and to see things going on. And I
- 46:18Speaker 13: said about shall I pursue? I've gone through where difficult
- 46:23Speaker 13: times in my life that I felt like everything was
- 46:26Speaker 13: falling apart, and I was at zick lack and the Lord.
- 46:30Speaker 13: I pray to the Lord, shall I pursue? Shall I
- 46:33Speaker 13: give up on everything? Or shall I pursue? And he
- 46:36Speaker 13: and he said pursue. And so that's why I wanted
- 46:41Speaker 13: to say, all of us are David at one point
- 46:43Speaker 13: in our lives. And then even with the all the
- 46:46Speaker 13: president's men, you know the people who stood with you,
- 46:50Speaker 13: who are standing by you through thick and thin, your
- 46:53Speaker 13: ride or dies. Those are the loyal people that David
- 46:57Speaker 13: reminisced about in second Samuel twenty three. At his dying words,
- 47:03Speaker 13: he reminisced about them. And so that's that's what those
- 47:06Speaker 13: books are about. They're they're considered political, but they are
- 47:11Speaker 13: definitely biblical, rightly dividing the Word of God and in
- 47:14Speaker 13: my opinion, things that are important for us to know today.
- 47:21Speaker 4: And I agree with you wholeheartedly. You know, nowadays you
- 47:24Speaker 4: have people that say their believers they both their conscious
- 47:26Speaker 4: instead of God, and I think that's a big problem.
- 47:29Speaker 4: And I know, mean you have discussed that, and so
- 47:31Speaker 4: let's talk about you know, your personal beliefs over God.
- 47:35Speaker 4: But as Christians, we should always stand with God. Yeah,
- 47:40Speaker 4: and how does that tie into everything politically? You know,
- 47:43Speaker 4: I'm a person I vote based upon God's principles, not
- 47:47Speaker 4: my own, and a lot of people today vote against
- 47:51Speaker 4: God's principles for their own agenda. And so how do
- 47:55Speaker 4: you tell you?
- 47:55Speaker 13: Yeah, you know, in Israel, they present then they're going
- 48:00Speaker 13: to have an October and Israel election, they put up
- 48:04Speaker 13: a party platform. You don't vote for individuals, you vote
- 48:08Speaker 13: for a party platform, like the Luket party is the
- 48:13Speaker 13: Benjamin at Yahoo's party, And there's some other progressive and
- 48:16Speaker 13: conservative and ultra orthodox, but you vote for a party
- 48:22Speaker 13: platform in the United States, you've put up these shiny
- 48:26Speaker 13: objects of people and maybe more articulate people, but their
- 48:31Speaker 13: platform is of the devil, and you need to know
- 48:34Speaker 13: that and stop embracing what your mother, father's, sister, cousin
- 48:39Speaker 13: friends have voted for in a political party and look
- 48:43Speaker 13: at the platform to see if it aligns with the Lord.
- 48:47Speaker 13: And if it does not, then you have to ask yourself,
- 48:51Speaker 13: are you laying down your cross in order to vote
- 48:55Speaker 13: for a political party and a machine that does not
- 48:59Speaker 13: honor God, that is against God and against his righteousness.
- 49:03Speaker 13: You know, you don't have to look very far to
- 49:06Speaker 13: know that in Congress the Republicans voted overwhelmingly to stop
- 49:15Speaker 13: a general mutilation of children. We should not, as Christians
- 49:20Speaker 13: be even debating whether children should have their body parts
- 49:25Speaker 13: cut for some transgender affirming care. But this is a
- 49:30Speaker 13: political party that has allowed it. The Democrats have allowed it.
- 49:35Speaker 13: If you even just go through and look at removing
- 49:39Speaker 13: boys out of girls sports. You know, back in the day,
- 49:43Speaker 13: we didn't have a question on what a girl and
- 49:45Speaker 13: what a boy was, and so this should not be.
- 49:49Speaker 13: And so there's a lot of brothers and sisters in
- 49:52Speaker 13: Christ out there, who will who will put up an
- 49:56Speaker 13: altered and it is an idol. If you put political
- 50:00Speaker 13: party above the word of God and vote against God,
- 50:05Speaker 13: shame on you, and I ask the Lord to have
- 50:08Speaker 13: mercy on you. But you need to repent. You have
- 50:11Speaker 13: an opportunity to repent in November of twenty twenty six,
- 50:15Speaker 13: because you should not ever put a political entity that
- 50:19Speaker 13: is operating out of the will of God with abortion,
- 50:24Speaker 13: killing and shedding of innocent blood over over what God
- 50:30Speaker 13: has said. And so you have to decide what you're
- 50:35Speaker 13: going to choose. But when you cast your luck for
- 50:39Speaker 13: a person or individual, political entity and party, you must
- 50:44Speaker 13: give an account to God for that. And that I'm
- 50:48Speaker 13: just telling you you might as well be holding the
- 50:50Speaker 13: cloaks like Saul while the Christians are being crucified. You
- 50:54Speaker 13: are holding the cloaks like Saul did. Even though you
- 51:00Speaker 13: said I'm not participating in the in the beatings and
- 51:03Speaker 13: the whipping and the killing of Stephen, you are still
- 51:06Speaker 13: holding the cloaks. And so vote according to the word
- 51:10Speaker 13: of God. That that is my my desire for all believers,
- 51:19Speaker 13: all those who claim Jesus as Lord and Savior, that
- 51:22Speaker 13: they will do that man.
- 51:27Speaker 4: You know, we talked about looking at the party's platform,
- 51:30Speaker 4: and I think a lot of people fail to do that,
- 51:33Speaker 4: and most Democrats don't know, and especially Christians, as the
- 51:36Speaker 4: Democratic Party took God out of their platform in the
- 51:39Speaker 4: late two thousands, early two thousands. Right, yeah, yes, and
- 51:43Speaker 4: that's an indication of where they're hearty any party that
- 51:47Speaker 4: takes God out. And I remember doing the elections during
- 51:53Speaker 4: Kamala Harris's one of her rallies, somebody yelled out Jesus
- 51:57Speaker 4: as the Lord. She told them to their face, you're
- 51:59Speaker 4: at the wrong rally. He did, But Christians were an
- 52:03Speaker 4: outrage about that. They still supported an ungodly person and
- 52:08Speaker 4: an unguardly party party, which is uncomprehendible. And I think,
- 52:12Speaker 4: you know, if we don't turn back to God, that
- 52:15Speaker 4: you know, our country is going to be in dire straits.
- 52:18Speaker 4: The Bible talks about a great fall in the way,
- 52:21Speaker 4: and I see it starting already.
- 52:24Speaker 13: Yes, I will tell you I was so greatly relieved
- 52:28Speaker 13: that the Church of God in Christ came out as
- 52:31Speaker 13: pro life. I was so estatic behind that they put
- 52:36Speaker 13: out a press relief that we are pro life, we
- 52:38Speaker 13: stand with life. Jesse Jackson Restissul was pro life, and
- 52:44Speaker 13: so I was excited. But the leader of the Church
- 52:46Speaker 13: of God in Christ endorsed Kamala Harris, and I'm like,
- 52:50Speaker 13: God is not double minded, nor is he schizophrenic, nor
- 52:54Speaker 13: is he contradicting himself. You don't endorse those who are
- 52:59Speaker 13: who of who do not cherish in value life. You
- 53:03Speaker 13: just don't. And so that I'm telling you is is
- 53:07Speaker 13: what we see as hypocrisy. But people can repent and
- 53:12Speaker 13: get right. We have an opportunity to get right this time.
- 53:16Speaker 13: But you cannot come out as an organization and say
- 53:20Speaker 13: I'm pro life and then endurese someone who's pro death.
- 53:24Speaker 13: You just can't. You just can't. In the name of Jesus,
- 53:28Speaker 13: you just shouldn't and you can't be. So God is
- 53:31Speaker 13: watching all that we do, and it's hypocrisy at the
- 53:36Speaker 13: highest level.
- 53:42Speaker 4: And you're You're absolutely right. And so I'm so happy
- 53:45Speaker 4: that you were able to come on the show today,
- 53:48Speaker 4: and I would uh everybody to buy your books there there,
- 53:56Speaker 4: and they're very good for you, and so I wanted
- 53:59Speaker 4: to bring you on because I want you to read
- 54:02Speaker 4: and understand what's going on.
- 54:05Speaker 13: Thank you God, bless you, Thank.
- 54:07Speaker 4: You doctor Tarborough. Thank you, and I thank you. You
- 54:10Speaker 4: have a blessed and wonderful man. Thank you for taking
- 54:13Speaker 4: time out of your schedule to talk with me today.
- 54:16Speaker 13: Yeah, bless you, Yeah, bless you.
- 54:19Speaker 4: Thank you, and we are coming towards the end, and
- 54:24Speaker 4: I just want to thank my friend Royan Evers for
- 54:26Speaker 4: allowing me to come on. I hope the show was
- 54:29Speaker 4: informative today and a blessing to everyone. And again, thank
- 54:34Speaker 4: you Ron for allowing me to show for you pass
- 54:36Speaker 4: some big shoes to fill in and I hope that
- 54:39Speaker 4: we did it justice today.
- 54:42Speaker 20: And that's all folk text at stage right
