- 0:56Speaker 2: And today we continue our verse by verse journey through
- 0:59Speaker 2: the Book of Jeremiah. Now we enter Jeremiah chapter six
- 1:07Speaker 2: to eight. God's warning become even more urgent to the
- 1:13Speaker 2: people on this one, the people of Juda. We're hearing
- 1:17Speaker 2: messages of peace from false prophet as well. Destruction was
- 1:22Speaker 2: rapidly approaching man that is pure evil and hatred. One
- 1:31Speaker 2: of the greatest dangers in any generation is believing that
- 1:36Speaker 2: everything is fine when God is calling us to repentance.
- 1:42Speaker 2: So today's message is called peace, peace when there was
- 1:47Speaker 2: no peace. And if you want to get everything you

- 3:04Speaker 2: You're gonna we go verse by verse, chapter by chapter,
- 3:07Speaker 2: so it's very simple to follow us. But right now,
- 3:13Speaker 2: let's go before our Father and prayer. Heavenly Father. We
- 3:17Speaker 2: thank you, Father God for your grace. We thank you
- 3:20Speaker 2: for your mercy, and we thank you for your loving kindness.
- 3:24Speaker 2: We ask Father God, that you will take over this podcast.
- 3:28Speaker 2: We ask for your spirit and your grace, So God,
- 3:30Speaker 2: that you give us your riema word, your spoken word,
- 3:34Speaker 2: and we ask a God that this podcast will impact
- 3:37Speaker 2: many hearts, many ears, many lives will be touched and changed.
- 3:41Speaker 2: Oh God, only by your power and by your grace
- 3:45Speaker 2: in Jesus' name. Amen. All right, belove it. Let's jump
- 3:53Speaker 2: right into it. Chapter six, and we're gonna go take
- 3:58Speaker 2: on the first three verses. He says, Oh, you children
- 4:03Speaker 2: of Benjamin, gather yourselves to flee from the midst of Jerusalem. Oh,
- 4:09Speaker 2: the trumpet in Takio or to Kao is set up
- 4:15Speaker 2: a single fire in beth Haressium. I know I'm probably
- 4:19Speaker 2: gonna butcher these names for disaster appears out of the north,
- 4:25Speaker 2: a great destruction. I have likened the daughter of Zion
- 4:30Speaker 2: to a lovely and delicate woman. The shepherds with their
- 4:36Speaker 2: flocks shall come to her. They shall pitch their tents
- 4:41Speaker 2: against her. All around, each one show pasture in his
- 4:48Speaker 2: own place. All right, let's break this down. Let's see
- 4:51Speaker 2: what the word is talking about. Okay. So Jeremiah warns
- 4:56Speaker 2: the people to flee because judgment is approaching from the north.
- 5:00Speaker 4: And we said that in one of our other episodes,
- 5:04Speaker 4: how the North, the tribe of what was it Dan
- 5:10Speaker 4: would be the first tribe.
- 5:12Speaker 2: That you encounter when you come from the north. Dan
- 5:16Speaker 2: is a further furthest North tribe, and Dan was the
- 5:20Speaker 2: first tribe to lead Israel into Idol worship, and so
- 5:25Speaker 2: they would get the impact first. But Babylon is coming.
- 5:30Speaker 2: This is the route they're taken. They're already taken the north.
- 5:34Speaker 2: Right now, God compares Jerusalem to a beautiful woman who's
- 5:41Speaker 2: about to be attacked by invading forces. Wow, that is
- 5:46Speaker 2: that should provoke us, right, especially as men. Just by instinct,
- 5:53Speaker 2: men want to protect women. We protect our wives, our daughters.
- 6:00Speaker 2: And so this is how God sees it. God loves
- 6:04Speaker 2: this nation, but this is how he views it. She
- 6:10Speaker 2: is about to be attacked and violated. Now. God repeatedly
- 6:15Speaker 2: warns Judah before judgment arrives. The warning warnings themselves are
- 6:23Speaker 2: evidence of God's mercy. If God was not merciful, he
- 6:29Speaker 2: would have just wiped them out and not said nothing.
- 6:31Speaker 2: But he warns them repeatedly. Family. God always gives opportunity
- 6:37Speaker 2: to respond before consequences arrive. Now, the problem wasn't that
- 6:44Speaker 2: Judah lacked warning. The problem was that they ignored it.
- 6:50Speaker 2: If God has given you an opportunity today, you know
- 6:54Speaker 2: what God is dealing with you on right, you know
- 6:58Speaker 2: what God is saying to you. You know, God is
- 7:01Speaker 2: telling you to stop. Don't go there, cut off that relationship,
- 7:06Speaker 2: stop stealing, stop lying, stop cheating, stop being disrespectful to
- 7:11Speaker 2: your wife or husband. He gives us warning after warning,
- 7:18Speaker 2: and just because nothing happened yet doesn't mean it won't
- 7:22Speaker 2: if we persist, especially this younger generation. God warns the
- 7:29Speaker 2: children to be obedient to their parents, and a lot
- 7:34Speaker 2: of children are taking that as a joke, like God
- 7:37Speaker 2: is not serious. God will not judge. And my heart
- 7:42Speaker 2: goes out to this generation coming up because because we're
- 7:47Speaker 2: gonna see that God is just and he will judge
- 7:51Speaker 2: if we stay persistent. Verse four and six, prepare war
- 7:56Speaker 2: against her. Arise and let us go up at noon.
- 8:03Speaker 2: Woe to us, for the day goes away for the
- 8:06Speaker 2: shadow of the evening our lengthening. Arise, and let us
- 8:11Speaker 2: go by night, and let us destroy her places. For
- 8:15Speaker 2: thus has the Lord of Host said, cut down trees
- 8:20Speaker 2: and build a mount against Jerusalem. This is the city
- 8:25Speaker 2: to be punished. She is full of oppression in her
- 8:31Speaker 2: mist All right, this is a lot. Now the enemy
- 8:37Speaker 2: is eager to attack. Jerusalem's greatest problem wasn't military weakness.
- 8:46Speaker 2: It was spiritual corruption. Let me say that again. Their
- 8:51Speaker 2: problem was not military weakness. The United States is mighty
- 8:58Speaker 2: and powerful when it comes to our military terry. A
- 9:01Speaker 2: lot of nations, a lot of powerful nations, do not
- 9:04Speaker 2: want to attack us head on, but our spiritual health
- 9:12Speaker 2: is fading fast. We used to worship Jesus in his country.
- 9:19Speaker 2: Now Jesus is almost outlawed. We've taken at ten commandments
- 9:26Speaker 2: out of the courtrooms, and now they're putting up statues
- 9:28Speaker 2: of bethemet Satan worshipers are flooding our public areas in
- 9:35Speaker 2: this nation, and we need to pray against it. Like
- 9:41Speaker 2: I said, they the enemy just wants destruction and devastation.
- 9:47Speaker 2: He wants God to judge us. And God with a
- 9:50Speaker 2: broken heart is warning us time and time again. Maybe
- 9:55Speaker 2: even this podcast could be another warning. Hopefully it'll reach
- 10:00Speaker 2: the whole nation and hopefully everyone will get touched. Amen. Now,
- 10:10Speaker 2: when a society rejects God's standards, in justice and opposition
- 10:16Speaker 2: will increase injustice opposition does it sound familiar? Nation can
- 10:24Speaker 2: have wealth, power, and it can have influence, But if
- 10:27Speaker 2: righteousness disappears from that nation, judgment eventually will follow. God
- 10:36Speaker 2: sees how people treat one another. Justice matters to him.
- 10:45Speaker 2: How are you treating your husband? How are you treating
- 10:48Speaker 2: your wife? How are you treating your children? We will
- 10:53Speaker 2: have to stand before God and give an account. The
- 10:56Speaker 2: way you live matters. God wants us to love one another,
- 11:00Speaker 2: and to be patient, and to be kind towards one another.
- 11:05Speaker 2: As a foundation walls up with water, so she as
- 11:12Speaker 2: a fountain. Excuse me, as a fountain wells up with water,
- 11:17Speaker 2: so she wells up with her weaknesses. Violence and plundering
- 11:22Speaker 2: are heard in her before me continually our grief in wounds.
- 11:28Speaker 2: She instructed Old Jerusalem, lest my soul depart from you,
- 11:33Speaker 2: lest I make you desolate a land not inhabited. Weakness
- 11:43Speaker 2: had to become natural to Jerusalem. Sin flowed from the city,
- 11:50Speaker 2: as natural as water flows from a spring. Now that
- 11:54Speaker 2: is sad, Yet God still calls them to be in strict.
- 12:04Speaker 2: God continues to offer correction because he desires repentance. He
- 12:10Speaker 2: does not want destruction. He's trying to instruct, He's trying
- 12:14Speaker 2: to speak. This is always God's heart. Even after repeated rebellion,
- 12:23Speaker 2: God is still saying, listen, learn and turn back. God's
- 12:30Speaker 2: warnings are imitations to repent and turn to him. Hallelujah.
- 12:37Speaker 2: Nine through eleven, that says the Lord of Hosts, they
- 12:41Speaker 2: shall thoroughly glean as a vine the remnant of Israel,
- 12:48Speaker 2: as a grape gatherer. Put your hand back into the
- 12:52Speaker 2: branches to whom shall I speak and give warning that
- 12:59Speaker 2: they may hear. Indeed, their ear is uncircumcised, and they
- 13:06Speaker 2: cannot give heed. Behold, the word of the Lord is
- 13:11Speaker 2: a reproach to them. They have no delight in it.
- 13:16Speaker 2: Therefore I am full of the fury of the Lord.
- 13:21Speaker 2: I am weary of holding it in. Wow. I will
- 13:27Speaker 2: pour it out on the children outside, and on the
- 13:31Speaker 2: assembling in young men together. For even the husband shall
- 13:36Speaker 2: be taken with the wife, the age with him who
- 13:41Speaker 2: is full of days. This is getting serious, Beloved, You
- 13:47Speaker 2: see what this verse is saying is that the people
- 13:49Speaker 2: no longer wanted to hear God's word. Do we hear that, Beloved,
- 13:54Speaker 2: Let that fall into your spirit. We are facing that
- 13:59Speaker 2: today when people people just do not want to tolerate
- 14:03Speaker 2: the word of God. They reject it, they fight against it,
- 14:06Speaker 2: they rebel against it. They treated God's truth as though
- 14:13Speaker 2: it was something that was of a nuisance or they
- 14:17Speaker 2: were annoyed by it. Do you know people today who
- 14:22Speaker 2: treat God's word like that? Like a take it or
- 14:25Speaker 2: leave it type of a thing. Jeremiah becomes overwhelmed by
- 14:31Speaker 2: the burden of God's message right here now. Spiritual decline
- 14:39Speaker 2: often reaches a dangerous point when people no longer welcome
- 14:43Speaker 2: biblical correction. Does that sound familiar, family, One of the
- 14:52Speaker 2: signs of a healthy believer is a willingness to receive correction.
- 14:59Speaker 2: Even the Book of Proverbs will tell you that fools
- 15:03Speaker 2: hate correction. A foolish man will despise instruction, but a
- 15:09Speaker 2: wise man will love you for it. When God is speaking,
- 15:17Speaker 2: and when we stop listening to God, we start drifting
- 15:23Speaker 2: away from God. That's like, it's only common sense, right.
- 15:30Speaker 2: The word of God should never become a burden to us.
- 15:34Speaker 2: The word of God should become our guide. Hallelujah twelve
- 15:42Speaker 2: through thirteen. And their house shall be turned over to others,
- 15:47Speaker 2: feels and wives together, For I will stretch out my
- 15:52Speaker 2: hand against inhabitants of the land, says a Lord. Because
- 15:57Speaker 2: from the least of them, even to the great of them,
- 16:00Speaker 2: everyone is given to coveteousness, and from the prophet even
- 16:06Speaker 2: to the priest. Everyone deals falsely. While corruption had spread
- 16:13Speaker 2: throughout society, the problem wasn't isolated at all. The problem
- 16:21Speaker 2: wasn't dedicated to a certain group. The problem spread through
- 16:28Speaker 2: the whole nation. Everyone from ordinary citizens to spiritual leaders
- 16:35Speaker 2: embrace greed, and they embraced dishonesty. The natural decline national
- 16:49Speaker 2: decline begins when people have a personal corruption. Words personal
- 17:03Speaker 2: compromise can affect the entire nation. How you live matters,
- 17:11Speaker 2: How I live matter. God is not impressed with the title.
- 17:17Speaker 2: You could be a pastor, or a prophet, an apostle,
- 17:21Speaker 2: whatever sound or whatever, someone, whatever leader you follow, That's
- 17:29Speaker 2: what I'm trying to say. Whatever leadership position another one
- 17:37Speaker 2: that you are in. God expects integrity. Character matters, truth matters,
- 17:44Speaker 2: Honesty matters. It's not just about your title. I don't
- 17:50Speaker 2: care if you're the president, you're a king, a priest.
- 17:55Speaker 2: What God cares about is our integrity, even ministry, even
- 18:01Speaker 2: with his hop I had to step back and allow
- 18:04Speaker 2: God to work on my integrity, or this ministry will
- 18:10Speaker 2: not take off. It will not go anywhere without it. Amen.
- 18:17Speaker 2: Fourteen through fifteen. They have also healed the hurt of
- 18:24Speaker 2: my people. They have also healed the hurt of my
- 18:28Speaker 2: people slightly, saying peace and peace when there was no peace.
- 18:36Speaker 2: Now this versus the title of this episode. Were they
- 18:41Speaker 2: assumed when they had committed abominations? Were they ashamed? Excuse me?
- 18:52Speaker 2: Were they ashamed when they had committed abominations? No, they
- 18:57Speaker 2: were not at all ashamed, Nor did they they know
- 19:00Speaker 2: how to blush. Therefore they shall fall among those who
- 19:06Speaker 2: fall at the time I punished them, they shall be
- 19:12Speaker 2: cut down, says the Lord. While all right, this is
- 19:21Speaker 2: Jeremiah's one of his most famous warnings in the Bible.
- 19:28Speaker 2: And false prophets were offering superficial solutions to the situation.
- 19:35Speaker 2: They declared peace while ignoring sin. That can never be
- 19:42Speaker 2: peace when sin is in our lives. And man, we
- 19:45Speaker 2: will never have peace with God if we have a
- 19:49Speaker 2: relationship with sin. They treated serious spiritual wounds with as
- 19:58Speaker 2: though it was a minor problem. Is what the verse
- 20:01Speaker 2: is saying. It's like going to a doctor. You're being
- 20:07Speaker 2: shot through the heart and they just give you a
- 20:09Speaker 2: band aid. That is how a false prophet and a
- 20:13Speaker 2: false teacher will handle your spiritual issues. And if that's
- 20:20Speaker 2: the case, I would flee and run for the heels.
- 20:26Speaker 2: I will not go back to that church if you
- 20:29Speaker 2: have a pastor like that. Now, false teachers often make
- 20:36Speaker 2: people comfortable in their sin instead of leading them to repentance.
- 20:45Speaker 2: The wound cannot be healed until the disease is addressed. Now, family,
- 20:53Speaker 2: we live in a culture that often once comfort without
- 20:57Speaker 2: the conviction of the Holy Spirit. People want encouragement without repentance.
- 21:06Speaker 2: They want blessings without obedience, peace without surrender. But real
- 21:15Speaker 2: peace comes through reconciliation with God. That is the only
- 21:19Speaker 2: way that we will have peace. Everything else is just temporary.
- 21:30Speaker 2: Don't let anyone deceive you. Let's go to a break.

- 22:32Speaker 4: That was amazing.
- 22:33Speaker 2: God give me in your praises.
- 22:35Speaker 1: We are a whole little saying.

- 23:27Speaker 1: Nay, all these things.
- 23:34Speaker 4: Were gonna make it good. But that look like I'm
- 23:41Speaker 4: gonna keep making the same. Like I'm gonna go back
- 23:43Speaker 4: with the game.

- 27:53Speaker 2: this game. Right. But the question today and whoever answers
- 27:58Speaker 2: it first gets the dragging rights for today? Which profit
- 28:04Speaker 2: confronted King Ahab in the profits of ball at Mount Carmel?
- 28:12Speaker 2: Which profit confronted King a Hab and the profits of
- 28:18Speaker 2: ball on Mount Carmel in The scripture reference is First

- 28:55Speaker 2: chaplains that minister to professional NBA basketball players. We've been
- 29:03Speaker 2: connected with them for some time now. We're actually gonna
- 29:06Speaker 2: get them on the podcast. We're gonna talk to them
- 29:09Speaker 2: as well. Also August twenty ninth, we will be at
- 29:16Speaker 2: the Resort World. You are welcome to come to that
- 29:19Speaker 2: event if you want to support. It will be a
- 29:22Speaker 2: business mixer, but I will be on deck with the
- 29:27Speaker 2: podcast and also providing music with that night. So hit
- 29:35Speaker 2: us up if you want to get more info, check
- 29:38Speaker 2: out our website his Hot Nation dot com. Last, but
- 29:46Speaker 2: not least, His Hot Nation is a nonprofit organization. We
- 29:51Speaker 2: are a five O one c three. We started a
- 29:54Speaker 2: Christian club back in twenty twelve. We had to move
- 29:59Speaker 2: out the building and twenty eighteen, so we were able
- 30:03Speaker 2: to hold it down for almost seven years over there
- 30:08Speaker 2: serving our community, outreaching, providing a spot for encouragement and
- 30:15Speaker 2: for the gospel to go forward. And we want to
- 30:18Speaker 2: relaunch and to reopen and we want to bring Club
- 30:20Speaker 2: His Out back to life. But in order to do that,
- 30:24Speaker 2: we need support from y'all. We need your prayers and
- 30:27Speaker 2: we need financial backing. So two dollars a month, one
- 30:32Speaker 2: dollar a month is helpful. That's why we became a
- 30:39Speaker 2: nonprofit of five o'h one c three so that you
- 30:42Speaker 2: can get a tax write off every time you give
- 30:46Speaker 2: and support to us. We're looking for monthly donors, We're
- 30:49Speaker 2: looking for sponsors, we're looking for grants and grant writers.
- 30:54Speaker 2: And we're looking for those who can pour into who
- 30:57Speaker 2: have a heart and reach our city through the gospel
- 31:01Speaker 2: of Jesus Christ. And if God has drawn you to
- 31:06Speaker 2: our ministry, to our organization that we will provide the
- 31:11Speaker 2: link so that we don't want to steal your blasting. Amen,
- 31:15Speaker 2: So go to our website his Hot nation dot com.
- 31:18Speaker 2: There's plenty of ways to donate on the website and
- 31:22Speaker 2: also on the app his Hot Radio on all platforms.
- 31:25Speaker 2: You can give that way as well. That beloved, that
- 31:32Speaker 2: is my time, because I begin to lug out, I
- 31:36Speaker 2: want to teat you with some closing comments like Jeremiah
- 31:42Speaker 2: six one through fifteen. It teaches us that God warns
- 31:47Speaker 2: before judgment wicked it grows. Wickedness grows when the truth
- 31:53Speaker 2: is rejected. Amen, Spiritual leaders are acceptable. I mean spiritual
- 32:03Speaker 2: leaders are accountable before God. So if you're wearing a title,
- 32:11Speaker 2: the Bible says that you will be whole held to
- 32:13Speaker 2: a stricter judgment, a stricter standard. True healing requires repentance.
- 32:21Speaker 2: If you truly want to heal, you have to ask
- 32:24Speaker 2: God to forgive you and really face confront yourself. False
- 32:30Speaker 2: peace is dangerous. Real peace comes from walking with God.
- 32:37Speaker 2: Have you accepted Christ into your life? Have you surrendered
- 32:42Speaker 2: your life over to God Almighty? That is the only
- 32:46Speaker 2: way that you will experience true peace. So the question
- 32:51Speaker 2: for today is are we pursuing God's peace or simply
- 32:56Speaker 2: avoiding God's conviction. Let's pray, belove it Heavenly, Father, help
- 33:05Speaker 2: us love truth more than comfort. Give us ears to
- 33:11Speaker 2: hear your correction. Lord, Protect us from deception and false teaching.
- 33:19Speaker 2: Teach us to walk in genuine repentance and obedience. Father,
- 33:25Speaker 2: May we experience the true peace that comes through Jesus Christ.
- 33:32Speaker 2: And we ask this in Jesus' name. Amen. Remember it's
- 33:39Speaker 2: not about us, It's all about the Christ in us.
- 33:55Speaker 1: You are listening to the light of Las Vegas. This
- 33:58Speaker 1: is the His Hop radio show.
