Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: With Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Okay, here we go.
- 0:04Speaker 1: Where the plays get broken down and science gets denied.
- 0:07Speaker 2: Dude, they said I gotta come off the bench.
- 0:08Speaker 1: Hour two of Off the Bench, live from the Raising
- 0:11Speaker 1: Cane Studio.
- 0:41Speaker 2: Hello. What's happening? We're back. Better than ever. You got
- 0:53Speaker 2: a Tiger Woods shirt on?
- 0:56Speaker 3: No, I think it's a Shringfellas Tiger Air.
- 0:59Speaker 2: Is he? Yeah, I'm pretty sure.
- 1:01Speaker 3: I think they had this first, actually. I think there
- 1:03Speaker 3: was a situation.
- 1:04Speaker 2: Okay. Between the two.
- 1:06Speaker 4: All right.
- 1:06Speaker 2: I'm pretty sure, G, if you're listening, I think it's
- 1:08Speaker 2: just Tiger Air. Shout out.
- 1:11Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:12Speaker 2: Like, you know, the cooling fans you put in the helmets?
- 1:14Speaker 5: Mm-hmm.
- 1:16Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:17Speaker 2: He gave it to me. You didn't buy it? No. Okay.
- 1:22Speaker 3: Oh, you're the only friend that makes me buy the products.
- 1:24Speaker 3: I bought one for you last week.
- 1:27Speaker 2: You did? Because I guilted you. Oh, wait.
- 1:30Speaker 4: Actually, I was going to steal it. Why do you
- 1:32Speaker 4: think I won the World Series this past week?
- 1:34Speaker 2: Oh, that's true. That's not a big deal. That is true.
- 1:38Speaker 2: They'd be like, your supply.
- 1:40Speaker 6: Like, how did the Biloxi 9U World Series champions look
- 1:45Speaker 6: so hydrated?
- 1:47Speaker 2: Right. Because they were so hydrated.
- 1:51Speaker 7: Sorry.
- 1:52Speaker 4: So crazy that both those Louisiana teams made the championship
- 1:54Speaker 4: in the World Series.
- 1:56Speaker 2: Oh, we did. It was two Louisiana teams. You're right.
- 2:02Speaker 6: Hydrated when he pulled it out. You know, Oregon and
- 2:13Speaker 6: USC are playing this weekend as ranked teams, and I
- 2:14Speaker 6: couldn't care less.
- 2:18Speaker 2: Oregon can't be ranked that high anymore.
- 2:21Speaker 4: 20th.
- 2:21Speaker 2: 20th.
- 2:23Speaker 4: Yeah, no, I don't think anybody cares. I mean, that's
- 2:25Speaker 4: kind of a shame, right? That's kind of why I'm... Yeah,
- 2:28Speaker 4: that's a.
- 2:28Speaker 2: I mean... That should mean something. It should mean something.
- 2:34Speaker 4: I was trying not to do a back-in-our-days type situation,
- 2:37Speaker 4: but that should mean something for college football, and it doesn't. Yes.
- 2:44Speaker 2: Is that at USC?
- 2:46Speaker 1: It is.
- 2:46Speaker 8: I wonder if people show up to it.
- 2:47Speaker 2: In the Coliseum. It's a classic Big Ten matchup.
- 2:52Speaker 3: If they don't show up to this.
- 2:53Speaker 8: California and Oregon.
- 2:54Speaker 2: California, Oregon. Big noon matchup. 10 a.m. their time.
- 3:00Speaker 3: 6.30 p.m. Central over on NBC.
- 3:06Speaker 8: You were close, Matt.
- 3:07Speaker 2: That was so close. It'd be fun if it was. Yeah,
- 3:12Speaker 2: that stinks.
- 3:14Speaker 4: Has anybody even heard anything about USC this year?
- 3:18Speaker 2: Are they decent? Are they good?
- 3:20Speaker 8: I mean, people love Maiava.
- 3:22Speaker 2: Okay.
- 3:24Speaker 4: Oh, actually, I was looking at the top quarterback performers
- 3:28Speaker 4: on PFF last week, and he was up there.
- 3:30Speaker 2: He's up there.
- 3:30Speaker 8: 12 touchdowns, one interception for three games. I mean, he's
- 3:34Speaker 8: actually played really well.
- 3:38Speaker 2: They feel very irrelevant to me.
- 3:40Speaker 8: No, I mean, how many people have watched him? I
- 3:41Speaker 8: haven't watched USC this year.
- 3:42Speaker 4: They don't know him. Their parents don't even watch him.
- 3:44Speaker 4: They don't even go to the game. Friends and family
- 3:47Speaker 4: games over there, and they don't even show up. Not
- 3:49Speaker 4: even their own people?
- 3:50Speaker 2: No. Sad.
- 3:54Speaker 3: That's not good. Big noon kick is Ohio State and Illinois,
- 4:01Speaker 3: I believe.
- 4:02Speaker 2: I think so.
- 4:03Speaker 4: This is going to be a fun week of college football, finally.
- 4:08Speaker 4: Just all around, top to bottom.
- 4:09Speaker 2: It's going to be good.
- 4:12Speaker 6: Eventually, because I think Georgia's really good, and they play
- 4:17Speaker 6: Oklahoma this week. We talked about that one earlier. But
- 4:22Speaker 6: it's going to be a while, I think, before we
- 4:23Speaker 6: know just how good Georgia is. So it's Oklahoma this week,
- 4:27Speaker 6: it's Vanderbilt next week, and then it is on the
- 4:29Speaker 6: road against Alabama. They do finish their season against Florida,
- 4:37Speaker 6: which is going to be, I think, Tampa this year
- 4:39Speaker 6: because of the renovations to either Tampa or Atlanta because
- 4:42Speaker 6: I know they're rotating.
- 4:43Speaker 2: Maybe.
- 4:44Speaker 6: Maybe that's this year, maybe it's next. Either way, neutral
- 4:46Speaker 6: site game. And then they go at Ole Miss, and
- 4:50Speaker 6: then they go Missouri at home. Georgia Ole Miss. Well,
- 5:04Speaker 6: we hope it's going to be a good game. Everybody
- 5:07Speaker 6: hopes that Ole Miss loses every game, so maybe it
- 5:09Speaker 6: won't be very good.
- 5:11Speaker 2: We'll see.
- 5:16Speaker 6: Is there a team that would play the Florida Gators
- 5:18Speaker 6: that you would go and cheer for?
- 5:21Speaker 2: That I would cheer for? Like for Florida. There's one.
- 5:27Speaker 2: The Raiders? The Raiders. The Raiders. Now, there's one in
- 5:31Speaker 2: college football that's here. Notre Dame. And I don't know. Like,
- 5:36Speaker 2: I hate Florida differently.
- 5:40Speaker 4: There's something Notre Dame can do to stop my hatred,
- 5:43Speaker 4: which I'm sure has got to be high up on
- 5:44Speaker 4: their list that the university needs.
- 5:46Speaker 8: They're like, we got to get in Matt Flynn's good graces.
- 5:49Speaker 2: Absolutely.
- 5:50Speaker 4: So that's probably something they talk about when they all
- 5:52Speaker 4: get together. There's nothing Florida can do. But I do
- 5:57Speaker 4: like Summerall.
- 5:59Speaker 2: I'll say that. I'll do like Summer. Also, for that reason,
- 6:01Speaker 2: I would cheer for them against Notre Dame. Yeah.
- 6:05Speaker 3: And Florida would never be hydrated either, would they?
- 6:11Speaker 2: Who? Florida. I don't know. Their money's still green, you know?
- 6:22Speaker 2: That still spins. Are they hydrated right now? No, they're not.
- 6:26Speaker 2: They've dabbled? They've dabbled with our popsicles before.
- 6:29Speaker 8: I've got to tell you, dabbling is like, if I'm you,
- 6:34Speaker 8: that's the golden goose that I'm chasing.
- 6:35Speaker 2: Yeah, because of Gatorade. Yeah.
- 6:37Speaker 8: The fact that they've even dabbled, it says a lot.
- 6:40Speaker 2: Not with the drinks, because, you know.
- 6:42Speaker 3: Also, it tells you how much Matt likes money, that
- 6:44Speaker 3: he takes their money.
- 6:45Speaker 2: Well, I'm a businessman. I've got to put multiple hats on, metaphorically.
- 6:50Speaker 2: I like money. I have some. I keep it in
- 6:52Speaker 2: a jar above my fridge. Yep.
- 6:54Speaker 3: I'd like to add more to that jar. And that's
- 6:56Speaker 3: where you come in. Who's the biggest Powerade school?
- 7:03Speaker 2: LSU? LSU. I think it's Powerade's flag.
- 7:09Speaker 6: So, I mean, you've kind of infiltrated the biggest Powerade
- 7:13Speaker 6: and the biggest Gatorade school.
- 7:15Speaker 2: Is Huck okay with this? Is Huck okay?
- 7:17Speaker 1: Yeah, that's fine.
- 7:18Speaker 8: With you sweeping into Florida? Is he like, hey, Dad,
- 7:20Speaker 8: back off. This is Gatorade.
- 7:22Speaker 2: This is my territory. Chill out, Dad.
- 7:25Speaker 4: Dad, I love you, but I can't let you do this.
- 7:35Speaker 2: Different schools are funny. Different schools are funny. We'll get
- 7:44Speaker 2: them all. We'll get them all. You're acting so weird
- 7:47Speaker 2: right now. Sorry, I got a lot on my mind
- 7:48Speaker 2: right now.
- 7:50Speaker 8: Is Gatorade... I mean, does Florida like the last Infinity Stone?
- 7:53Speaker 2: Like, you need it. Man, I would like that one.
- 7:57Speaker 2: I would like it. Yeah.
- 7:57Speaker 8: That'll buy me.
- 8:00Speaker 2: Would you.
- 8:02Speaker 6: Give them the My Highs that got rejected and have
- 8:04Speaker 6: a little less electrolytes in it?
- 8:11Speaker 2: Yeah, there's been a couple of Infinity Stones, if you will,
- 8:13Speaker 2: that I've had. And.
- 8:19Speaker 2: We've got a couple. Still got a couple out there
- 8:21Speaker 2: to get. We're trying. Oregon was one. Oregon was one.
- 8:26Speaker 2: Why was Oregon one? Just different reasons. I mean, one, geographically,
- 8:30Speaker 2: it's very far away. Okay. Uh-huh.
- 8:35Speaker 4: And then another, like, there was a, we had a,
- 8:38Speaker 4: one of our competitors had some ties to it.
- 8:39Speaker 3: See, that's where, yeah, that's where I, that's what I,
- 8:41Speaker 3: I need the good stuff.
- 8:42Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 8:42Speaker 4: Well, I know, but, like, you know. I mean, there's
- 8:45Speaker 4: millions listening to this show around the world, so.
- 8:49Speaker 2: Say it with your chest.
- 8:50Speaker 6: I mean, Taylor can find the person who's listening from
- 8:54Speaker 6: the farthest away right now.
- 8:56Speaker 2: Papua New Guinea.
- 8:57Speaker 3: There used to be a segment that we did on
- 8:58Speaker 3: the show.
- 8:59Speaker 2: There's always that one person in Papua New Guinea listening.
- 9:01Speaker 3: Back in nighttime radio.
- 9:03Speaker 2: What was that guy's name? I don't remember. It was
- 9:08Speaker 2: before Paul. Before Paul O'Neill.
- 9:10Speaker 4: Obviously, he needed that entertainment that we were given.
- 9:15Speaker 2: Oh, my God. What was that guy's name? Tony. Tony Lightfoot.
- 9:21Speaker 2: I thought you were talking about the listener. No, no, no. Tony.
- 9:25Speaker 2: That was it, right? Tony Lightfoot, yeah. And he'd pull
- 9:29Speaker 2: it up and he'd tell us where the person.
- 9:32Speaker 5: Guys, we have 136 downloads in Japan.
- 9:37Speaker 2: Stop it. No way. In Japan? Yes.
- 9:41Speaker 9: Let's go. 130 in the United Kingdom.
- 9:42Speaker 2: Let's go.
- 9:44Speaker 8: Hell yeah. There was a guy on Postgame when I
- 9:46Speaker 8: used to do Postgame for... For Hanny and Condon, he
- 9:50Speaker 8: would call every postgame, and he was from Japan.
- 9:52Speaker 2: No way.
- 9:52Speaker 8: He would call in right after the game.
- 9:54Speaker 2: Yep.
- 9:56Speaker 9: Let me see. We got some in Singapore.
- 9:58Speaker 2: All right.
- 10:00Speaker 5: 130 in the United Kingdom. The Netherlands are listening to us.
- 10:07Speaker 5: Shout out to the Netherlands out there.
- 10:08Speaker 2: The Nederlanders. All right.
- 10:10Speaker 3: Let's go ahead.
- 10:11Speaker 6: Let's do it. Let's pop quiz him. Give me the
- 10:14Speaker 6: countries that make up the United Kingdom.
- 10:16Speaker 2: Oh, man. Come on. Come on.
- 10:19Speaker 8: You sound confident.
- 10:20Speaker 2: You can do it.
- 10:22Speaker 4: England.
- 10:25Speaker 2: Scotland. Northern Ireland. Another one more. Wales. You finally did it.
- 10:31Speaker 1: Boom.
- 10:33Speaker 2: It took you eight years of me asking you that
- 10:35Speaker 2: question on there. I don't know. I feel like I've
- 10:37Speaker 2: always gotten it. No. Is Wales the one I don't get?
- 10:39Speaker 2: You usually add Ireland. Ireland. At the end.
- 10:43Speaker 6: I've had to tell you no. Instead of Northern Ireland,
- 10:45Speaker 6: you usually add Ireland, and then I tell you no,
- 10:47Speaker 6: and then you.
- 10:48Speaker 2: Find your way back to it. I don't know. I
- 10:49Speaker 2: feel like Northern Ireland is something I know. It's not.
- 10:52Speaker 2: It is. I've been to Ireland. Not a big deal.
- 10:53Speaker 2: World traveler.
- 10:55Speaker 9: Taiwan. Taiwan's listening. Okay.
- 10:58Speaker 3: We're huge in Taiwan.
- 10:59Speaker 7: Peru.
- 11:00Speaker 2: Peru?
- 11:01Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 11:02Speaker 2: And South America? That's where the Pumas are.
- 11:05Speaker 9: Turkey.
- 11:07Speaker 2: Oh, Turkey.
- 11:08Speaker 9: The Armenians are listening.
- 11:10Speaker 2: Obviously.
- 11:11Speaker 9: Romania. So we got some gypsies that live there.
- 11:14Speaker 2: I mean, we're Eastern Europe as well. It's not a
- 11:16Speaker 2: big deal.
- 11:17Speaker 9: It's not a big deal.
- 11:17Speaker 8: We're worldwide.
- 11:20Speaker 2: All right. What about any Africa? Got anybody there?
- 11:27Speaker 9: I don't think so.
- 11:28Speaker 2: Step your game up. Jeez.
- 11:33Speaker 9: We got to get in the African market.
- 11:35Speaker 2: We do. We've been saying it.
- 11:41Speaker 9: Australia is out here downloading us, guys.
- 11:44Speaker 8: Matt, big fans of Australia. Does that make sense?
- 11:46Speaker 2: Love the accent.
- 11:49Speaker 6: Did we try the new series I gave you? I
- 11:51Speaker 6: know you had a busy day.
- 11:52Speaker 2: No. Not a lot of shows.
- 11:58Speaker 9: I'm looking at this. I'm pretty sure all 50 countries. Oh, wait.
- 12:01Speaker 9: What's this one? What's above South Dakota?
- 12:05Speaker 2: What's above what?
- 12:06Speaker 9: Nebraska.
- 12:08Speaker 2: Sounds right. Feels right. Feels right.
- 12:10Speaker 4: All right.
- 12:11Speaker 9: Nobody in South Dakota listens.
- 12:13Speaker 2: Well, that's true.
- 12:14Speaker 8: They don't have a lot of internet up there, can't.
- 12:16Speaker 9: That's the only place I see on here in America
- 12:18Speaker 9: that doesn't listen.
- 12:18Speaker 2: We don't talk enough Jackrabbits. No.
- 12:21Speaker 8: Jackrabbits are good, man.
- 12:22Speaker 2: They are good. That's South Dakota State, Matt. Football team.
- 12:29Speaker 2: We used to hunt Jackrabbits. The tough breed. Tough breed.
- 12:34Speaker 3: That's kind of how I describe Sam Levitt.
- 12:39Speaker 2: Jackrabbit. He's a jackrabbit. Quick, tough, a little wiry. Hops
- 12:45Speaker 2: a little bit. Hops a little bit. Got to stop hopping.
- 12:48Speaker 4: Got to have weight on that back foot as you
- 12:53Speaker 4: push off.
- 12:54Speaker 2: Got to. Not on the heels either. Nah, not on
- 12:57Speaker 2: the heels. Heels not good.
- 13:00Speaker 5: Someone just texted, I will be in Spain in a
- 13:02Speaker 5: couple of weeks and then Africa the month after.
- 13:04Speaker 9: I'll download y'all from there.
- 13:06Speaker 6: Hell yeah.
- 13:06Speaker 2: That's what I'm talking about.
- 13:08Speaker 9: We're about to be in Africa.
- 13:11Speaker 2: We love it. We appreciate it.
- 13:13Speaker 9: Are we doing a little safari?
- 13:15Speaker 2: Jackrabbits.
- 13:18Speaker 8: We love the Green Bay Packers.
- 13:20Speaker 7: Okay.
- 13:21Speaker 3: Give me the player that played for South Dakota State.
- 13:23Speaker 8: Really good at South Dakota State.
- 13:25Speaker 2: He currently plays there?
- 13:26Speaker 8: Currently, he is a current Green Bay Packer.
- 13:28Speaker 2: Green Bay Packers. Kraft, yes. Tucker Kraft. Did I nail it? Yes,
- 13:32Speaker 2: Tucker Kraft.
- 13:34Speaker 8: They have a lot of tight ends.
- 13:35Speaker 2: Dallas Goddard. You're a big sports guy. I'm a huge
- 13:39Speaker 2: sports guy. Y'all know this. I have a sports show. No,
- 13:44Speaker 2: just you. You've got a sports show? Oh, yeah, for sure.
- 13:50Speaker 2: Got a host for three weeks by himself. That was
- 13:54Speaker 2: a long time.
- 13:55Speaker 7: Y'all, it's a little chilly in this studio. That's all
- 14:05Speaker 7: I got.
- 14:06Speaker 2: That's all you got? Yes, continue.
- 14:09Speaker 9: I'm just wondering if anybody else is chilling.
- 14:12Speaker 2: Sorry, guys. We're off our game today. My bad.
- 14:16Speaker 6: No, you can't throw, like, people listening in Japan and
- 14:20Speaker 6: us not trying to find out more information.
- 14:22Speaker 2: Yeah, you got to dig in.
- 14:26Speaker 9: 136 downloads.
- 14:26Speaker 6: Literally used to do a segment to try to find
- 14:29Speaker 6: out who the person that was the farthest away from
- 14:31Speaker 6: Baton Rouge was listening.
- 14:33Speaker 2: Now, that was more live, though. Anyways, all right.
- 14:36Speaker 6: We'll break down the NFL slate. We talked a lot
- 14:39Speaker 6: of college here today. When we come back, the New
- 14:41Speaker 6: Orleans Saints hosting the Las Vegas Raiders, the 2-0 Las
- 14:46Speaker 6: Vegas Raiders, Matt Flynn's squad.
- 14:48Speaker 2: We'll talk about it when we come back here on OTV.
- 14:51Speaker 1: Off the bench.
- 14:51Speaker 2: Don't give me that look. You played for me. Go
- 14:54Speaker 2: to TrashRangers.com. TrashRangers.com.
- 14:56Speaker 6: Residential commercial trash pickup service here in the greater Baton
- 14:59Speaker 6: Rouge area. Now, if you're lucky enough to be in

- 15:07Speaker 6: going to get weekly text reminders. You're going to have
- 15:10Speaker 6: your trash pick. The pickup is, if it's a holiday,
- 15:14Speaker 6: I can't stress this enough. They don't just skip you over.
- 15:17Speaker 6: They actually pick up on Saturday. They'll pick up on
- 15:20Speaker 6: Saturday to make sure that you don't miss a week
- 15:22Speaker 6: without trash pickup. You don't get that from anybody else,
- 15:24Speaker 6: but you always get that from our friends over at
- 15:27Speaker 6: Trash Rangers. Roll-off dumpsters, three different sizes to choose from.
- 15:30Speaker 6: Sanitation department, all at TrashRangers.com.
- 15:33Speaker 4: So Trash Rangers, TrashRangers.com, the most reliable trash removal service
- 15:38Speaker 4: in all of Louisiana. But don't forget about the Trash
- 15:40Speaker 4: Rangers sanitation department, the portable toilets, the restroom trailers that
- 15:47Speaker 4: they have. So if you have an event, if you
- 15:48Speaker 4: have a company that does a lot of work outside,
- 15:50Speaker 4: make sure you give them a call to get those
- 15:51Speaker 4: portable toilets going over there. TrashRangers.com.
- 16:05Speaker 1: Locked in on LSU football 24-7. You're listening to Off
- 16:08Speaker 1: the Bench.
- 16:37Speaker 8: All right, welcome back in OTV.
- 16:41Speaker 9: The playlist today reminds me of going to Flynn's house
- 16:49Speaker 9: during Christmas.
- 17:07Speaker 6: The college days and seeing him play rock band, guitar hero,
- 17:11Speaker 6: whatever it was.
- 17:12Speaker 1: Yep.
- 17:12Speaker 2: That's what this playlist is. Not a big deal.
- 17:15Speaker 8: There's one guitar hero three.
- 17:18Speaker 2: Like, you walked in, he was probably playing. Yeah, shredding.
- 17:22Speaker 2: Easy mode? No. Vince Vaughn and that, what's that movie?
- 17:27Speaker 8: Couples Retreat.
- 17:28Speaker 2: Couples Retreat. That was me.
- 17:31Speaker 8: Shooting it like a gun.
- 17:33Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 17:34Speaker 8: I happen to develop video games.
- 17:36Speaker 2: This one in particular.
- 17:43Speaker 6: All right, New Orleans Saints going to be hosting the
- 17:46Speaker 6: Las Vegas Raiders, the 2-0 Las Vegas Raiders. They take
- 17:51Speaker 6: care of Miami in week number one and the Chargers
- 17:54Speaker 6: in week number two. And now they come down to
- 17:58Speaker 6: New Orleans to take on the 1-1 Saints.
- 18:01Speaker 3: Right now, New Orleans is a three-point favorite.
- 18:04Speaker 2: It opened at three. It stayed at three.
- 18:07Speaker 6: Kirk Cousins is Thrown for 413 yards, six touchdowns, three interceptions.
- 18:13Speaker 6: Of course, Tyler Shuck, leading passer in the NFL, 662 yards,
- 18:17Speaker 6: four touchdowns, two interceptions. The story for me in this
- 18:21Speaker 6: matchup is Las Vegas is going to try to run
- 18:25Speaker 6: the football.
- 18:26Speaker 2: Like, look at attempts.
- 18:27Speaker 6: Kirk Cousins in two games, thrown the ball 59 times.
- 18:30Speaker 6: Tyler Shuck, 90 times. Rushing attempts by your leading rusher.
- 18:36Speaker 6: A-chan for New Orleans, 17 carries. Ashton Gentry for Vegas,
- 18:39Speaker 6: 44 carries. That's who they are. That's who they want
- 18:43Speaker 6: to be. And they're not going to put too much
- 18:45Speaker 6: on Kirk Cousins' plate. And when they have asked him
- 18:47Speaker 6: to make a play, he's made a play.
- 18:51Speaker 4: I don't think the Saints want to live in a
- 18:53Speaker 4: world where you're averaging 45 pass attempts a game.
- 18:57Speaker 3: Not when you signed a running back to a $ 53
- 18:58Speaker 3: million contract either.
- 19:00Speaker 2: And he's not even your leading carrier in a game.
- 19:02Speaker 2: That can't. They just have to start faster.
- 19:05Speaker 4: I mean, that's why you get down by so much
- 19:07Speaker 4: and you get into this mode where you have to
- 19:09Speaker 4: rely on the right arm of Tyler Sheck, which is
- 19:11Speaker 4: awesome to be able to do. Don't get me wrong.
- 19:14Speaker 4: I love a good passing game. But as a quarterback,
- 19:17Speaker 4: I also love a really good running game. You just
- 19:19Speaker 4: got to start fast. You got to execute. For whatever reason,
- 19:23Speaker 4: Kellen Moore and his staff have not proven to be
- 19:25Speaker 4: very good at creating a first 15 game.
- 19:27Speaker 2: Thank you, dude.
- 19:28Speaker 4: You spend all week creating this first 15 script that
- 19:31Speaker 4: as long as you stay on schedule, as long as
- 19:34Speaker 4: you stay in normal down and distance, this is the
- 19:37Speaker 4: first 15 plays you're going to run. Traditionally, it's the
- 19:41Speaker 4: best plays. It's the plays you've developed. It's this game
- 19:44Speaker 4: plan you've been thinking about. How do I want to
- 19:45Speaker 4: attack this defensive coordinator? Or maybe it's this is how
- 19:49Speaker 4: I think I'm going to attack, but it's really, I'm
- 19:51Speaker 4: trying to get different, I'm trying to line up in
- 19:53Speaker 4: multiple different formations, multiple different personnels to gain and gather
- 19:58Speaker 4: information for the rest of the game. So there's different
- 20:00Speaker 4: reasons to create a first 15 script. But I got
- 20:06Speaker 4: to tell you, like, I was a part of a
- 20:08Speaker 4: lot of game plans and a lot of first 15s.
- 20:10Speaker 2: Usually they don't really work like for any team.
- 20:13Speaker 4: I don't really like it because yeah, it's, it's when
- 20:16Speaker 4: you just kind of get down to, but a lot
- 20:19Speaker 4: of it is information gathering, but for whatever reason, and it's,
- 20:25Speaker 4: and it blows my mind on how just inept that
- 20:29Speaker 4: saints have been. And it's not just this team, it's
- 20:32Speaker 4: their team last year. It's the team before that. Just
- 20:34Speaker 4: add how, bad they've been in the first half, specifically
- 20:38Speaker 4: the first quarter.
- 20:39Speaker 2: So if the Saints, if the clock hits 0-0-0 at
- 20:46Speaker 2: the end of the.
- 20:47Speaker 4: First quarter, the Saints have a lead, the Superdome better
- 20:50Speaker 4: be going nuts this weekend, losing their minds.
- 20:56Speaker 2: So we'll see.
- 20:57Speaker 4: You don't want to live in a world where Tyler
- 20:59Speaker 4: Shuck is averaging 45 pass attempts in a game. That's
- 21:02Speaker 4: not the key to long-term success. Yeah, you can win
- 21:05Speaker 4: some games. Obviously, we beat a team we shouldn't have.
- 21:08Speaker 4: We almost beat a team we shouldn't have the week
- 21:10Speaker 4: before that in overtime doing it that way. And that
- 21:13Speaker 4: is a luxury to have with a young quarterback who
- 21:16Speaker 4: can put the team on his back like that and
- 21:18Speaker 4: elevate everybody around him.
- 21:19Speaker 2: That's awesome. I think Tyler Shuck's going to.
- 21:21Speaker 4: End up being a top ten, top five guy in
- 21:26Speaker 4: the league.
- 21:26Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 21:27Speaker 4: Because I think he has shown it now. We've got
- 21:30Speaker 4: a large enough sample size to understand how consistent Tyler
- 21:33Speaker 4: Shuck is. It's not just a flash in the pan.
- 21:36Speaker 2: I've got a big game here. Then I've got to
- 21:38Speaker 2: take a couple weeks off. Then I've got another big game.
- 21:40Speaker 4: He has consistently shown week in, week out since he
- 21:42Speaker 4: took over last year that he's the dude. But you've
- 21:46Speaker 4: got to help him. That's why you go and pay HN.
- 21:49Speaker 4: That's why you do it. Use him and use him
- 21:51Speaker 4: the right way.
- 21:52Speaker 6: You pay an offensive lineman in David Edwards. You pay
- 21:54Speaker 6: a running back in HN. You bring AK back as well. Like,
- 21:57Speaker 6: you put some real resources. You add a tight end
- 22:00Speaker 6: through free agency and the draft. Like, you added pieces
- 22:03Speaker 6: to be able to go out there and try to
- 22:05Speaker 6: establish the run. And I get it. In Detroit, you
- 22:08Speaker 6: fell behind. You got to play catch up. In this one,
- 22:11Speaker 6: you fall behind. You got to play catch up. But
- 22:13Speaker 6: some of that also can be taken away, I think,
- 22:18Speaker 6: some of that early struggle if you commit to the
- 22:21Speaker 6: run a little bit earlier.
- 22:23Speaker 2: Yep.
- 22:24Speaker 6: Because you don't want to get to a point where
- 22:25Speaker 6: you never can do it and you're always playing from behind.
- 22:27Speaker 6: You're always throwing the football. And sometimes it's not going
- 22:32Speaker 6: to be seven yards to carry. Sometimes it's going to
- 22:35Speaker 6: be three yards to carry. And then three more yards.
- 22:37Speaker 6: And then we set up and it's third and four.
- 22:42Speaker 6: Then you pass the ball. You try to pick up
- 22:44Speaker 6: the first down. But then you, guess what, go right
- 22:46Speaker 6: back to the run to try to establish it. It's
- 22:48Speaker 6: the same thing that we talked about with LSU last week.
- 22:51Speaker 6: LSU in the second half did a really nice job
- 22:53Speaker 6: of first down runs. They had nine first down runs
- 22:55Speaker 6: in the second half. And they were down big, but
- 22:58Speaker 6: they knew they had time, and they knew they had
- 23:00Speaker 6: to change kind of how they were playing offensively as
- 23:02Speaker 6: far as the style of offense.
- 23:04Speaker 2: And so even when you're down, you can do it.
- 23:06Speaker 2: You still have time. Yeah, it's– they have to.
- 23:12Speaker 4: If– like, look, there is a potential– bright future for
- 23:18Speaker 4: this team, this year's team for the saints and that
- 23:21Speaker 4: they've shown.
- 23:22Speaker 2: Now, if the.
- 23:24Speaker 4: First two weeks that you played and you were one-on-one
- 23:27Speaker 4: and you just played the, you know, the dolphins and
- 23:29Speaker 4: the Browns, we might feel a little bit differently, but
- 23:32Speaker 4: because of the teams that they have played in week
- 23:35Speaker 4: one and two and where they have played them, like
- 23:38Speaker 4: there is reason to be very hopeful for this team.
- 23:42Speaker 4: But again, you can't have Kamara be your leading rusher.
- 23:46Speaker 2: Or at least in attempts. Yeah, right. In a game again.
- 23:49Speaker 2: You just can't let that happen.
- 23:50Speaker 4: Now, Kamara's going to have his games, and he's going
- 23:52Speaker 4: to have a two-touchdown game at some point this year.
- 23:55Speaker 4: He's going to have that game where it's a Kamara game,
- 23:57Speaker 4: and he's got a couple big plays. He still has
- 23:59Speaker 4: that in him. But consistently running the ball in the
- 24:03Speaker 4: B-gap is not what he should do. He shouldn't have nine,
- 24:06Speaker 4: and A-chan has eight rush attempts. Like, that shouldn't happen.
- 24:10Speaker 4: And I'm sure that's a chest-pat situation for the coaching staff.
- 24:14Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 24:15Speaker 2: They got to get better. They got to get better
- 24:16Speaker 2: with the rotation.
- 24:17Speaker 6: And a chain this week is he was limited yesterday.
- 24:20Speaker 6: He's got a little hamstring issue. So I don't know
- 24:22Speaker 6: what that workload looks like for him. Now, again, he
- 24:25Speaker 6: did participate in practice. It just wasn't a full go.
- 24:29Speaker 6: So we'll see if he is able to go and
- 24:31Speaker 6: get a full workload because you signed him to be
- 24:35Speaker 6: RB one, not just a piece of a rotation.
- 24:39Speaker 2: The last time. You know how many games it's been?
- 24:44Speaker 6: The last time the Saints have led was back in
- 24:47Speaker 6: December of 2024, the last time the Saints led at
- 24:51Speaker 6: the end of the first quarter. They have gone 23
- 24:54Speaker 6: consecutive regular season games without having a lead at the
- 24:58Speaker 6: end of.
- 24:58Speaker 2: The first quarter. 23. That is a season and a half. Improbable,
- 25:03Speaker 2: to say the least? That's hard to do. It's hard
- 25:05Speaker 2: to do, even if you were trying to do it.
- 25:06Speaker 2: 23 consecutive games. I mean, at some point, somebody's going
- 25:13Speaker 2: to like... That's got to change.
- 25:15Speaker 6: You know how hard it is to do that 23
- 25:18Speaker 6: straight times?
- 25:19Speaker 2: With professional football players? God. On your team? Help yourself out.
- 25:23Speaker 2: Give yourself some breathing room.
- 25:25Speaker 3: 23 straight?
- 25:29Speaker 2: That's what I'm saying. Like, if they're ahead at the
- 25:32Speaker 2: end of the first quarter, the dome, the roof might
- 25:35Speaker 2: blow off. It needs to. It should. My God.
- 25:40Speaker 6: All right, we will take a break. Take a look
- 25:42Speaker 6: at some more NFL action when we come back as well.
- 25:45Speaker 6: Some games across the league. And we'll do it right
- 25:47Speaker 6: here on OTB.
- 25:49Speaker 5: Off the bench.

- 28:01Speaker 6: to Tommies.com. G-E-A-U-X, Tommies.com.
- 28:06Speaker 2: Can I make a confession? All right, Usher.
- 28:09Speaker 4: Every time I say, hey, Chan, I feel like I'm
- 28:14Speaker 4: doing something wrong. I have to think about, did I
- 28:17Speaker 4: just say that correctly? Do you have to think about, like,
- 28:20Speaker 4: is it starting to roll off the tongue more for you?
- 28:24Speaker 4: I know you've got to talk NFL football. For three
- 28:27Speaker 4: hours every day. Three hours in the afternoon every day.
- 28:29Speaker 4: But I still pause, whether it's just like a split second.
- 28:33Speaker 6: Because you know him as ETN for, gosh, I mean,
- 28:37Speaker 6: I remember him in high school.
- 28:40Speaker 4: And I'm not even thinking about saying ETN. I'm thinking about, like,
- 28:44Speaker 4: is it A-Chan?
- 28:46Speaker 2: Is it E-Chan?
- 28:47Speaker 4: Like, I can't ever remember, like, the exact pronunciation. Just
- 28:50Speaker 4: like confession, guys, right here, live on air.
- 28:54Speaker 3: From some of the things that you've said out loud,
- 28:55Speaker 3: I don't really think it's a big deal.
- 28:58Speaker 2: That's a good point. Yeah. But that's the one that
- 29:02Speaker 2: makes me nervous.
- 29:03Speaker 6: I did tell you when I came back from owner's
- 29:06Speaker 6: meetings and we had the Panthers GM.
- 29:09Speaker 2: You know Dan Morgan. He was in Seattle with you.
- 29:12Speaker 6: He kind of said, like, because he's got Trevor on
- 29:15Speaker 6: his team, the brother of Travis. And I don't know
- 29:18Speaker 6: if it's changed, but he was kind of like, in
- 29:21Speaker 6: our building, he's going to be Trevor Etienne.
- 29:23Speaker 3: That's what I was. That's what I drafted him as.
- 29:25Speaker 3: That's what I know him as.
- 29:26Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 29:26Speaker 3: I don't know that we can make that change. We're
- 29:28Speaker 3: just not going to do it.
- 29:29Speaker 2: Basically. He should have told us this before. That's kind
- 29:33Speaker 2: of how he said it.
- 29:34Speaker 4: Like, once you're past the age of 25, you've lost,
- 29:37Speaker 4: you know. It's set in stone at that point.
- 29:42Speaker 2: Yep. Anyway, hope HN has a great year. Hope he's
- 29:48Speaker 2: healthy this game with a hamstring.
- 29:50Speaker 6: One of the things that, speaking of talking about the
- 29:52Speaker 6: NFL for three hours every day, one of the things
- 29:55Speaker 6: we pointed out yesterday, there's some teams that are 0-2
- 29:58Speaker 6: that have, Playoff aspirations, to say the least, and a
- 30:02Speaker 6: lot of us thought that they would be in the playoffs,
- 30:05Speaker 6: and almost not guaranteed, but kind of, that are 0-2
- 30:09Speaker 6: and staring 3-0 right in the face. We'll go down
- 30:12Speaker 6: the list, and then we'll come back and react to it.
- 30:16Speaker 2: The L.A. Chargers, 0-2. Ass.
- 30:20Speaker 3: Going to Orchard Park, New York, to take on the
- 30:21Speaker 3: Buffalo Bills.
- 30:24Speaker 2: This week.
- 30:25Speaker 6: It's a get-right game for them. The Houston Texans, 0-2.
- 30:29Speaker 6: A little bit easier for them. They go to Lucas
- 30:30Speaker 6: Oil Stadium and take on the 0-2 Colts. But certainly,
- 30:34Speaker 6: the Texans, not a team. Now, they started, what, 0-3
- 30:37Speaker 6: last year and made the playoffs, but nobody had them
- 30:40Speaker 6: being an 0-2 team.
- 30:41Speaker 2: I think I had them in the Super Bowl.
- 30:45Speaker 6: The Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 0-2. Their reward, 2-0 Minnesota coming
- 30:51Speaker 6: to Tampa Bay.
- 30:55Speaker 2: Tyler's back, right? Yep. Come on, now.
- 30:59Speaker 6: There's that's three teams that I think we kind of
- 31:03Speaker 6: assumed they were playoff teams that are Oh, and two
- 31:06Speaker 6: with a uphill battle. I think even like Houston on
- 31:10Speaker 6: the road against the Colts Colts look good and arrowhead
- 31:13Speaker 6: on my, was it Monday or Sunday?
- 31:15Speaker 2: I think it was Sunday night.
- 31:17Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 31:18Speaker 4: The, I mean, we assumed the bucks would be fighting
- 31:21Speaker 4: the saints for the playoff spot.
- 31:22Speaker 2: I feel like that was the top two teams. Yeah.
- 31:25Speaker 2: And you even said it. Cause I think you went
- 31:26Speaker 2: to training camp. Yeah.
- 31:27Speaker 1: Right.
- 31:27Speaker 6: And they, And the Falcons looked really bad. Saints looked
- 31:30Speaker 6: really good, and Tampa looked pretty good.
- 31:32Speaker 2: You know what happened to him? Baker signed the deal.
- 31:36Speaker 8: Honestly? Yeah, I mean, I was sitting there when he
- 31:39Speaker 8: did it, and I was like, I'm a Bucs fan.
- 31:41Speaker 2: I don't like this.
- 31:42Speaker 8: I want him to feel disrespected going into the season.
- 31:45Speaker 2: Well, not only Baker Mayfield, Vita Vea signed his deal, too. Yeah,
- 31:50Speaker 2: so you got their stars.
- 31:52Speaker 6: I mean, I know nose tackle is not typically a star,
- 31:54Speaker 6: but Vita Vita is a hell of a player.
- 31:56Speaker 4: We always thought Baker's this gritty guy, blue-collar guy, like
- 32:00Speaker 4: my word is my bond. Well, he kind of reneged
- 32:06Speaker 4: on his threat. He said, if it's not done by
- 32:09Speaker 4: this point, then we're not going to do it. And then,
- 32:12Speaker 4: of course, three or four weeks later, he did it.
- 32:15Speaker 4: And so, yeah, he kind of lost all the grit
- 32:17Speaker 4: right there. I was a little afraid of a pissed-off
- 32:24Speaker 4: Baker Mayfield. That's when he's at his best. Yeah, but
- 32:27Speaker 4: now he's just content.
- 32:28Speaker 3: They lost to Cleveland at home.
- 32:31Speaker 2: That ain't good, buddy.
- 32:36Speaker 3: And right now, Baker's playing into the third-best quarterback in
- 32:38Speaker 3: the division.
- 32:41Speaker 2: Behind Chuck and Bryce Young.
- 32:43Speaker 4: You were upset I didn't have Bryce Young in my
- 32:45Speaker 4: top ten yesterday.
- 32:46Speaker 6: Top two passing yard guys in the league.
- 32:51Speaker 10: Mm-hmm.
- 32:52Speaker 2: Tyler Shuck and Bryce Young.
- 32:53Speaker 4: Well, that's an easy trap that all the non-ball knowers
- 32:57Speaker 4: out there do is just put the.
- 32:58Speaker 6: Best stat guys in the top list. Bryce Mason throws
- 33:01Speaker 6: against Chicago.
- 33:02Speaker 2: He did.
- 33:04Speaker 4: His arm seems more alive this year than it has
- 33:07Speaker 4: in the past. Maybe he did some curls. He's a
- 33:10Speaker 4: little fella. Curls don't really help you throw. I mean,
- 33:13Speaker 4: I was just trying to.
- 33:14Speaker 2: Say he's little. Come on, bro. He's just a little fella.
- 33:18Speaker 3: Don't say curls don't help because you don't have biceps.
- 33:23Speaker 10: Kidding me that's my left arm too you're an idiot
- 33:31Speaker 10: yeah i know chargers are cooked aren't.
- 33:36Speaker 4: They oh speaking of bryce i just got an offer
- 33:39Speaker 4: on my card oh you did my downtown black pan.
- 33:43Speaker 3: How long has that puppy been on ebay it's been
- 33:45Speaker 3: on ebay for over a year.
- 33:46Speaker 6: Okay if it's been on ebay for over a year
- 33:49Speaker 6: we said bryce young and you got an offer i
- 33:51Speaker 6: feel like you should take it nope.
- 33:53Speaker 4: It's still on the market because I declined all the offers.
- 33:58Speaker 3: How below market is the offer?
- 34:03Speaker 2: Percentage-wise.
- 34:04Speaker 4: Well, there is no market. One of these has not
- 34:07Speaker 4: sold in a while. It's about 25% under my ask.
- 34:13Speaker 2: That's a lot. You can go 10%. At least I would.
- 34:17Speaker 7: I'm not.
- 34:17Speaker 2: Not right now because Arrow's pointing up. That's true, too.
- 34:20Speaker 4: Like this card, if the arrow points up, it's worth
- 34:23Speaker 4: double what I have it on the market for. That's
- 34:26Speaker 4: a good salesman right there. Hit me up directly so
- 34:34Speaker 4: we don't have to pay.
- 34:37Speaker 2: Those fees. He means every bit of that. Every bit
- 34:41Speaker 2: of that. I've only had that happen once lately.
- 34:43Speaker 3: It's been a lot of reach out.
- 34:46Speaker 2: You ain't trying that. Reach out. I am trying.
- 34:53Speaker 3: Got the one-of-one Ronald Acuna out there right now.
- 34:57Speaker 2: Headliner. Headliner. That's what it's called. Super Fractor? Yes. I
- 35:02Speaker 2: love a Super Fractor. So it's like.
- 35:05Speaker 3: An insert that people chase just normally, and it's a one-of-one.
- 35:12Speaker 2: Go buy it. Go get them. Today. Quit it. Not
- 35:20Speaker 2: answering my question. Okay, what's your question? Chargers are cooked,
- 35:23Speaker 2: aren't they? Oh, they, well, this week. They look really bad.
- 35:28Speaker 2: This week they're cooked. And they're going to Buffalo. But
- 35:31Speaker 2: the NFL's crazy, man.
- 35:32Speaker 4: I firmly believe that, especially the first half of the season,
- 35:37Speaker 4: that there's not a lot of ways to consistently make
- 35:40Speaker 4: money in sports betting. But I do think one way
- 35:43Speaker 4: to do it is to bet the dog every week,
- 35:46Speaker 4: every game in the NFL for the first half of
- 35:48Speaker 4: the season. Because you get good payouts. They're not going
- 35:52Speaker 4: to win everyone. But, like, crazy things happen. So, yeah,
- 35:55Speaker 4: could the Chargers win? Yeah, they could. They're fighting an
- 36:00Speaker 4: uphill battle. They've got to look. They've got to be
- 36:03Speaker 4: a completely different team. But, you know, every now and then,
- 36:06Speaker 4: Josh Allen does some, like, Josh Allen dumb things.
- 36:11Speaker 2: It's the most expensive ticket in the NFL this week.
- 36:14Speaker 2: Is it? Yeah. Bills and Chargers.
- 36:15Speaker 8: $ 255.
- 36:16Speaker 2: Yeah, they're cooked. They're cooked. Seven-point dog. We had James
- 36:22Speaker 2: Cook on the show yesterday. He's pretty good. He's a
- 36:25Speaker 2: good player.
- 36:28Speaker 4: Yeah, so Josh Allen is 20th on NFL all-time rushing touchdowns.
- 36:34Speaker 6: The list of Hall of Fame running backs that he's, like,
- 36:37Speaker 6: blown past is remarkable.
- 36:42Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm pulling it up right now. It's absolutely incredible.
- 36:47Speaker 2: So he's 81, I think. Smith holds a record 164,
- 36:50Speaker 2: I believe. The amount, and he's 29?
- 36:56Speaker 4: Or is he 30?
- 36:58Speaker 9: He's 30.
- 36:58Speaker 2: He just turned 30. He just turned 30.
- 37:01Speaker 4: So he's going to play from at least five more
- 37:05Speaker 4: years at the same running capability that he has now.
- 37:11Speaker 4: The names that he is going to blow pass is
- 37:15Speaker 4: pretty wild.
- 37:16Speaker 2: It's, let's see here.
- 37:17Speaker 3: He's already blown past some wild names.
- 37:22Speaker 4: Jim Taylor, 83. I'll shut Jim Taylor. Marshawn Lynch, 85.
- 37:28Speaker 4: Priest Holmes, 86. Curtis Martin, Eric Dickerson, Frank. So these
- 37:33Speaker 4: are all people that are under 100. Barry Sanders, Jerome Bettis,
- 37:37Speaker 4: Franco Harris, Eric Dickerson, Curtis Martin, Priest Holmes, Marshawn Lynch.
- 37:41Speaker 2: He's at 81. Is that right?
- 37:42Speaker 7: It's 81?
- 37:43Speaker 1: 83.
- 37:43Speaker 8: It's 83?
- 37:43Speaker 2: Okay, it's 83.
- 37:43Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 37:48Speaker 4: And he'll probably pass those guys this year at the
- 37:52Speaker 4: age of 30, playing the quarterback position past Barry Sanders.
- 37:56Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 37:58Speaker 6: And not to like, not even to mention what his
- 38:00Speaker 6: other stats are through the year. He's got to win
- 38:03Speaker 6: at least one. He has to win at least one,
- 38:08Speaker 6: or he's going to be Dan Marino.
- 38:11Speaker 2: He's going to be Dan Marino plus. Yeah. But, but, and, and, Like,
- 38:17Speaker 2: he's not going to be talked about.
- 38:18Speaker 6: I mean, he's already– there's no chance he's catching up
- 38:21Speaker 6: with Tom Brady's seven. Bradshaw's four. Montana's four. He ain't
- 38:28Speaker 6: catching up with that. How many has Mahomes got now?
- 38:30Speaker 2: He's got three. And that's a bad thing for Josh Allen.
- 38:36Speaker 6: Unfortunately for him, he's not going to be in the
- 38:38Speaker 6: conversation with those guys, even though his stats are going
- 38:40Speaker 6: to be incredible.
- 38:41Speaker 8: Well, to your point about the 83 rushing touchdowns, he's
- 38:42Speaker 8: 225 passing touchdowns. We talk about Lamar. Lamar, they came
- 38:51Speaker 8: in the league at the same time. Lamar Jackson has
- 38:54Speaker 8: 36 rushing touchdowns. Josh Allen has 83.
- 39:00Speaker 6: And again, if he doesn't win one, it's not going
- 39:09Speaker 6: to matter as far as the legacy of what it
- 39:12Speaker 6: should be to what it's going to be. And they also,
- 39:15Speaker 6: they fired a coach who won 12 games last year.
- 39:18Speaker 6: Sean McDermott, won a lot of football games, but hasn't
- 39:21Speaker 6: been able to get them to the Super Bowl. And
- 39:25Speaker 6: that's why our guy Joe Brady is the head coach now.
- 39:29Speaker 6: That's not easy. That is not an easy expectation to
- 39:33Speaker 6: just take over. Hey, bud, the last guy here went
- 39:36Speaker 6: to a lot of AFC championship games, and we fired
- 39:39Speaker 6: him after winning 12 games.
- 39:41Speaker 2: Giddy up. Good luck. Go get him, Tiger.
- 39:43Speaker 7: Okay.
- 39:47Speaker 4: Josh Allen is on pace, too. surpass Walter Payton in
- 39:52Speaker 4: three seasons.
- 39:55Speaker 2: On pace. Yeah. Under three seasons. Yeah. Sweetness is pretty good.
- 40:01Speaker 2: That would put Josh Allen at number five.
- 40:04Speaker 3: Rushing touchdowns. We need to make sure we keep saying that.
- 40:06Speaker 3: At some point, rushing touchdowns.
- 40:08Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 40:09Speaker 4: At some point, it's going to start pissing people off.
- 40:12Speaker 4: Because those are legends at that position.
- 40:15Speaker 6: When you see him, when you walk beside him, he's
- 40:18Speaker 6: a big guy, but he's not Nothing would make you
- 40:23Speaker 6: think that guy does what he does on Sundays, the
- 40:25Speaker 6: way he runs the football and breaks tackles and escapes
- 40:29Speaker 6: a rush.
- 40:31Speaker 2: His body holds up. His body holds up, and he
- 40:34Speaker 2: takes big hits. Yeah.
- 40:36Speaker 4: And people land on him, and he just pops back up.
- 40:39Speaker 4: Some people, I don't know. Doesn't feel great. Good for him, though.
- 40:46Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 40:47Speaker 2: Chargers definitely going to be. Chargers going to win. Just Herbert,
- 40:49Speaker 2: same guy. Stop.
- 40:55Speaker 4: Is there too many cooks in the kitchen, you think,
- 40:57Speaker 4: for their offense as far as from the coaching standpoint?
- 41:00Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 41:02Speaker 2: Just too much. It seemed like a great– all season.
- 41:04Speaker 2: I thought it was going to be awesome, yeah. The
- 41:06Speaker 2: hire was celebrated.
- 41:07Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 41:08Speaker 2: But is there just– The game is coming over. I'm
- 41:10Speaker 2: sure– you know how it is.
- 41:12Speaker 4: They just probably hadn't figured it out how to work
- 41:13Speaker 4: with the– Yeah. The talent's undeniable. And last year he
- 41:17Speaker 4: did a lot with absolutely nothing.
- 41:19Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 41:21Speaker 2: Plumbers and uber drivers yeah.
- 41:25Speaker 6: All right let's take a break before i get any
- 41:27Speaker 6: more sad about how bad the team is and how
- 41:29Speaker 6: they're going to be oh and three after playing great
- 41:30Speaker 6: uniforms though good look good doing it look good doing
- 41:33Speaker 6: it look good.
- 41:33Speaker 3: Doing it all right we'll take a break more otb
- 41:36Speaker 3: when we.
- 41:36Speaker 8: Come back off the bench all right go.
- 41:39Speaker 6: To russellpools.com the website for russell pool company been in
- 41:42Speaker 6: the game since the 1960s here in south louisiana so
- 41:45Speaker 6: they know the harsh conditions, the harsh weather that we
- 41:48Speaker 6: have to deal with here. So when they build your pool,
- 41:50Speaker 6: they build it to last. They build it with that
- 41:52Speaker 6: in mind, and that's how you do it since the 1960s.
- 41:56Speaker 2: Now, if you want to.
- 41:57Speaker 6: Customize your pool, any bell, any whistle, anything that you want,
- 42:00Speaker 6: they can put that into your design.
- 42:03Speaker 3: If you are building from scratch, they can do that.
- 42:05Speaker 6: Now, if you want to upgrade, if you bought a
- 42:06Speaker 6: home that had an existing pool and it's just a
- 42:08Speaker 6: kidney-shaped pool and you want to upgrade it, they can
- 42:11Speaker 6: come in and they can do that as well. A
- 42:13Speaker 6: lot of different options they have over at Russell Pools.
- 42:16Speaker 2: RussellPools.com.
- 42:17Speaker 4: I met with Chris Anderson yesterday. Russell Pools' wife and
- 42:21Speaker 4: I met with him and his team. Just talking about
- 42:23Speaker 4: our project, going over, tweaking a few things, making a
- 42:26Speaker 4: couple adjustments, and hearing their expertise, getting their opinions on
- 42:29Speaker 4: different sizes of pumps and all this crazy features that
- 42:33Speaker 4: we can do and how to make it work with
- 42:35Speaker 4: the aesthetic of our house. So it's just incredible working
- 42:38Speaker 4: with them. They've got landscape architects. They are the experts.
- 42:40Speaker 4: They are the professionals. Go to RussellPools.com.
- 42:53Speaker 1: From the locker room to the airwaves, it's Off the
- 42:56Speaker 1: Bench with Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn.
- 43:02Speaker 2: We're here, but now they're gone.
- 43:09Speaker 1: Seasons don't feel the rebirth Nor do the wind, the.
- 43:13Speaker 2: Sun, or the rain We can be like they are
- 43:17Speaker 2: Come on, baby, don't feel free Baby, take my hand.
- 43:23Speaker 11: All right, welcome back in OTV.
- 43:47Speaker 3: Tay-Tay, real quick, go ahead and get that injury report
- 43:52Speaker 3: for LSU.
- 43:53Speaker 2: Ready to go. Yeah.
- 43:55Speaker 8: So, I mean, we know that Deshaun Spears and Phillip
- 43:57Speaker 8: Wright are out for the season. Now, Jakeem Jackson corners. Listen,
- 44:02Speaker 8: it's doubtful to Marcus Cooley. Listen, it's questionable.
- 44:05Speaker 2: Cool.
- 44:05Speaker 8: Understand that this is Lane Kiffin and we went through
- 44:07Speaker 8: all of this a week ago for none of it
- 44:09Speaker 8: to occur. But if Jakeem Jackson doesn't play and to
- 44:13Speaker 8: Marcus Cooley is limited for any reason, that's terrible because
- 44:17Speaker 8: I think your, I think your secondary depth is for me,
- 44:20Speaker 8: the biggest concern on this team. I mean, we talked
- 44:22Speaker 8: about it all off season. hey, your front five guys,
- 44:25Speaker 8: including Deshaun Spears, could be the best in the SEC.
- 44:28Speaker 8: Outside of that, what do you do? So, I mean,
- 44:30Speaker 8: if Jakeem Jackson doesn't play for any reason, that's a
- 44:32Speaker 8: huge blow.
- 44:34Speaker 2: I definitely think it is.
- 44:35Speaker 6: Now, I don't think, like, to Marcus Cooley, like you said,
- 44:37Speaker 6: I don't really think that's going to be.
- 44:39Speaker 2: A situation where he's out.
- 44:41Speaker 6: But your secondary depth right now is being tested, to
- 44:46Speaker 6: say the least. And last game, we talked about it.
- 44:48Speaker 6: You kept turning the old Rubik's Cube, and you're trying
- 44:51Speaker 6: to find– you know, a way for it to come
- 44:53Speaker 6: all back together. Maybe it doesn't, but you certainly don't
- 44:56Speaker 6: need to be down any more bodies than you currently are.
- 44:59Speaker 6: I mean, they had to move guys from free safety
- 45:01Speaker 6: to nickel and your nickel was playing a little bit
- 45:04Speaker 6: of edge rusher at the end of game. I mean,
- 45:05Speaker 6: you were trying to figure out exactly where.
- 45:07Speaker 2: To place everybody. Yeah.
- 45:10Speaker 4: And this is something that from a coach standpoint, you
- 45:13Speaker 4: have to be at least somewhat mentally prepared for replacing guys,
- 45:17Speaker 4: guys get injured. There's always an emergency plan for, all
- 45:20Speaker 4: 11 starters there is a an emergency plan that's talked
- 45:24Speaker 4: about and they have meetings about it but um the
- 45:28Speaker 4: players have to get adjusted to new roles and it
- 45:32Speaker 4: is hard in the middle of a game when you
- 45:35Speaker 4: have guys playing you know free safety that haven't played
- 45:38Speaker 4: you know haven't done a lot of reps at least
- 45:40Speaker 4: at free safety they've they've done it in training camp
- 45:42Speaker 4: in spring whatever but you know, that week leading up
- 45:45Speaker 4: to it.
- 45:45Speaker 2: So you might just be a little bit slower.
- 45:47Speaker 4: And like, look, LSU was in good position a lot
- 45:49Speaker 4: of times with those guys in new positions, not having practice.
- 45:52Speaker 4: They were just a little, they weren't quick enough on
- 45:54Speaker 4: the draw on a couple of their reads and quick
- 45:56Speaker 4: enough on the draw on going through their progression as
- 46:00Speaker 4: a defensive back on who to read and what to do.
- 46:02Speaker 4: So with a week of practice, I'm confident that they
- 46:05Speaker 4: will have a better understanding. Now, of course, you're always
- 46:07Speaker 4: going to have a drop off at everything when you're starter,
- 46:10Speaker 4: whether your guy that is the best is not there anymore.
- 46:12Speaker 4: But it's good to have the week of practice and
- 46:15Speaker 4: preparation to get mentally and physically ready. But mostly mentally
- 46:18Speaker 4: ready to play those different positions.
- 46:20Speaker 6: Yeah, and it's going to be a home game. That
- 46:22Speaker 6: is going to help you, I think. You get a
- 46:25Speaker 6: little extra time in the film room. You're not traveling.
- 46:27Speaker 6: You take that part of it. You spend extra time,
- 46:28Speaker 6: walk through film, whatever it might be.
- 46:30Speaker 3: All right, hour number three of OTV coming right back
- 46:32Speaker 3: your way.
- 46:34Speaker 8: Off the bench.
- 46:36Speaker 2: All right.
- 46:37Speaker 6: Many people assume ongoing back or spine pain automatically means
- 46:42Speaker 6: one thing.
- 46:42Speaker 4: What?
- 46:42Speaker 6: Surgery or maybe even long-term medication but that's often not
- 46:47Speaker 6: the case Ochsner Health specializes and makes sure that they
- 46:51Speaker 6: work with you to find a plan to get you
- 46:55Speaker 6: feeling better you find the source of pain you build

- 47:20Speaker 4: and chronic back pain, maybe it's a new back pain.
- 47:22Speaker 2: My back's been hurting recently too. It's just like one
- 47:25Speaker 2: of those things.
- 47:25Speaker 4: The goal isn't just like massive pain over at Ochsner.
