- 0:02The mother clarifies a distinction between receiving
- 0:05the universal vital forces directly and receiving them
- 0:09through a vital interchange with other individuals.
- 0:12These two methods represent two entirely different statuses of
- 0:16consciousness. To receive the universal vital
- 0:20forces directly, a wide and receptive consciousness is
- 0:24needed. Many people do not appreciate
- 0:27that this is an actual palpable experience of wideness, not
- 0:32restricted to a mental status. As the yogic practice develops,
- 0:37it is possible to have glimpses of this experiential state and
- 0:42eventually to live constantly in that wideness, not limited to
- 0:47the awareness of the physical frame of the body.
- 0:52Most individuals, however, identify themselves with the
- 0:56physical body and its limited frame.
- 0:59In such cases, they do not openly and consciously receive
- 1:04the universal vital forces. Although these forces are
- 1:08constantly active and working on a subliminal level, they engage
- 1:13for the most part and interchange with other
- 1:15individuals similarly situated and draw in vital energies from
- 1:20those other individuals and pass along the vital energies they
- 1:24are holding to their associates. The mother describes the
- 1:28limitations and the issues involved with such a process.
- 1:34The mother observes quote. But those who draw back upon
- 1:38themselves, who turn and double up on themselves, cannot do
- 1:42this. One must live all the time in a
- 1:46very vast and very expansive consciousness.
- 1:50I don't know if you understand the word.
- 1:52It means something which extends very homogeneously and quietly,
- 1:58as when the tide is at its height and the water spreads
- 2:02like that quietly. That's the impression.
- 2:08The vital must be like that. Then one is open to the
- 2:11universal forces. But if, for example, one has the
- 2:16very bad habit of exchanging vital forces with one's fellow
- 2:19man, then one loses the capacity altogether.
- 2:24So unless one is in relation with someone, one receives
- 2:28nothing at all. But naturally, if you receive
- 2:31forces through others, you receive at the same time all the
- 2:36difficulties of the other person, perhaps sometimes his
- 2:40qualities also, but these are less contagious.
- 2:45This indeed is something that shuts you up most, some people,
- 2:52unless they have more or less social relations with others,
- 2:55relations of friendship, conversing, and then it goes
- 3:00still farther, they don't receive any forces, and this is
- 3:04how they receive them. But this always makes a soup.
- 3:09The forces one receives are already half digested.
- 3:13In any case, they don't have their primal purity, and this
- 3:18effects your own capacity. End Quote.
