Ohio honors fallen officer Sergeant Scott Ries with flags at half-staff across Wayne County and state buildings in Columbus, as the community mourns the 54-year-old law enforcement hero who died in the line of duty during a nighttime shooting response. A dedicated Rittman Police officer with 10 years of service, Ries also served with the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office and Sugar Grove Police Department.
