- 0:14Speaker 1: to this thing?
- 0:17Speaker 2: Well, I'm still working it out because you need to
- 0:19Speaker 2: wear flat shoes to the launch. So that's an interesting
- 0:22Speaker 2: one with a cocktail output.
- 0:24Speaker 1: Oh really, why flat shoes?
- 0:26Speaker 2: Is that? Because of that? Well, it's something to do
- 0:27Speaker 2: with the venue. So all we're revealed.
- 0:31Speaker 1: Short ladies won't like that, Viv.
- 0:33Speaker 2: It'd be interesting to see if people do.
- 0:35Speaker 1: But anyway, so does this actually bring any money in
- 0:39Speaker 1: for Auckland or not?
- 0:41Speaker 2: It absolutely does.
- 0:42Speaker 3: Actually, there was a noticeable increase in sales last year
- 0:45Speaker 3: around the Queens Street area in downtown apparel and hospitality
- 0:49Speaker 3: in particular, on the Wednesday it was nineteen point six
- 0:53Speaker 3: percent up on the previous week, and the Friday thirty
- 0:56Speaker 3: two percent, and it brought a real buzz. Actually, it
- 1:00Speaker 3: was a great event last year and we're particularly excited
- 1:03Speaker 3: this year because it's a great year for the city
- 1:06Speaker 3: center and a great week with the open day for CRL.
- 1:11Speaker 2: On Saturday and the new station, and also.
- 1:15Speaker 3: Right in the middle of restaurant months, so we're expecting
- 1:17Speaker 3: a boomer.
- 1:18Speaker 1: Have they told us where the opening thing? Is that
- 1:21Speaker 1: or is that a surprise?
- 1:23Speaker 3: It's the station, the new station t Y which has
- 1:26Speaker 3: got entrance to Victoria Street and Wellesley Street.
- 1:32Speaker 1: So will they be going the on the cat what
- 1:35Speaker 1: we'll go up and down the escalator? Will it go
- 1:37Speaker 1: along the train?
- 1:38Speaker 3: Right?
- 1:38Speaker 2: Sorry? No, no, sorry that we've got an open day
- 1:41Speaker 2: that's for people to come and see DRL.
- 1:43Speaker 1: No, but I'm talking about the fashion show. Well the
- 1:45Speaker 1: fashion show. Do you think they'll have it down underground?
- 1:49Speaker 2: Well, not that I'm aware of it mostly around Shed
- 1:53Speaker 2: ten with a few other locations. But we did actually
- 1:57Speaker 2: launch restaurant months in the underground. That was fabulous.
- 2:00Speaker 1: Did you notice they had all these like a disco
- 2:03Speaker 1: thing going on? They had all these weird sort of dancers.
- 2:07Speaker 1: What was that about? Whereabout in the subway? It was
- 2:13Speaker 1: very strange. I don't know if you'd record it.
- 2:14Speaker 2: To quarter gall that might have been. Was that on Saturday?
- 2:17Speaker 2: You mean the opening of the other State another station
- 2:19Speaker 2: in k Road.
- 2:20Speaker 1: I might have been that one.
- 2:21Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:22Speaker 1: Anyway, so we unlikely to see anyone walking down a
