- 0:00Speaker 1: Welcome, everybody, to the Best Betting Show Ever. It is Wednesday,
- 0:05Speaker 1: October 14th. This is going to be a fun, informative,
- 0:10Speaker 1: money-making episode of the Best Betting Show Ever. I'm Lawrence Presman,
- 0:15Speaker 1: Joe Ranieri, and Art DeCesar joining us. And, well, Michaels, today.
- 0:21Speaker 2: And.
- 0:21Speaker 1: I got to tell you guys, Ralph lost his toupee
- 0:25Speaker 1: play last week. That is correct. So he will have
- 0:28Speaker 1: to be wearing a toupee the entire show. Joe. Oh,
- 0:35Speaker 1: my God. That is solid. Ralph Michaels looking good, Ralph.
- 0:43Speaker 2: Very heavy metal, dude.
- 0:46Speaker 3: I was going to order a Donald Trump, but the
- 0:50Speaker 3: hair is backlogged, so I wouldn't have gotten it until
- 0:52Speaker 3: next week.
- 0:54Speaker 4: Donald Trump in demand for Halloween.
- 0:58Speaker 2: So who are you going with here? That's more of
- 1:01Speaker 2: like a.
- 1:02Speaker 5: Austin Powers.
- 1:04Speaker 1: I love it. You know, there's a new Austin Powers
- 1:07Speaker 1: movie in the works.
- 1:08Speaker 5: I know.
- 1:09Speaker 3: This reminded me, you know, 25 years, 30 years ago,
- 1:13Speaker 3: I used to live with Brian Leonard when we were
- 1:15Speaker 3: in Cleveland. And Brian still has a huge head of hair,
- 1:18Speaker 3: but this is what he looked like in the morning
- 1:20Speaker 3: when he woke up. So I wanted to emulate him.
- 1:22Speaker 3: So this is for you, Brian.
- 1:23Speaker 2: There you go. There you go, everybody.
- 1:27Speaker 1: And we will have a toupee play again today. If
- 1:31Speaker 1: he loses it, he will be back in that air
- 1:35Speaker 1: wig next Tuesday. Tuesday, we got a big show. We
- 1:38Speaker 1: got our sharp bets. There's tons of games today. Two
- 1:42Speaker 1: college football games, couple of NHL games. There's, well, okay,
- 1:48Speaker 1: it's not the biggest day in the world, but we
- 1:50Speaker 1: got our sharp bets. We got the parlay of the day. Well,
- 1:53Speaker 1: Michael's Trends and Angles segment. We're going to do a
- 1:55Speaker 1: quick look at college football week seven. We're going to
- 1:59Speaker 1: do some side bets in the NFL, our MLB playoff
- 2:02Speaker 1: rundown and NHL playoff rundown. Let's get straight into it. Art,
- 2:07Speaker 1: we're going to start with you. Sharp, Betts, what are
- 2:11Speaker 1: you hearing or seeing out there?
- 2:13Speaker 6: Yeah, right now, obviously, small slate in the NHL, only
- 2:15Speaker 6: two sides, but a little bit of Canadian money came
- 2:18Speaker 6: in overnight in their game against the Capitals. And then
- 2:21Speaker 6: the two spots here in the college games, they took
- 2:25Speaker 6: over 49 and a half in the Kennesaw State game,
- 2:28Speaker 6: and they took Western Kentucky when they were a pick.
- 2:31Speaker 6: They're now minus one and a half.
- 2:35Speaker 2: Uh, okay.
- 2:35Speaker 1: Let's get right into a parlay of the day. And
- 2:38Speaker 1: then our trends and angle segment art. Uh, Ralph, let's
- 2:41Speaker 1: start with you. What is leg one of our parlay
- 2:44Speaker 1: of the day?
- 2:45Speaker 4: The Colorado avalanche.
- 2:48Speaker 3: And when I get to my TNA segment, you guys
- 2:50Speaker 3: will be, uh, this will be a while, a while
- 2:52Speaker 3: record to tell you about the avalanche.
- 2:55Speaker 6: Hmm.
- 2:55Speaker 2: There we go.
- 2:56Speaker 1: Colorado avalanche on a back to back against the same
- 2:59Speaker 1: team they played last night.
- 3:03Speaker 2: Uh, Good luck with that. Art, what is your call?
- 3:08Speaker 6: I'm taking under six and a half strikeouts for Blake Snell.
- 3:14Speaker 2: Under six and a half strikeouts. Joe Ranieri, where are
- 3:17Speaker 2: you going?
- 3:17Speaker 5: I kind of like that now, Art. You got me
- 3:22Speaker 5: thinking about that. That's actually pretty good. First five under
- 3:27Speaker 5: in the Dodgers Brewers for me.
- 3:30Speaker 1: First five under Dodgers Brewers, and I'm going to stick
- 3:33Speaker 1: with the under six and a half in the Colorado-Dallas game.
- 3:39Speaker 1: Last night, the Avs won 3-2, only 51 shots on goal.
- 3:45Speaker 1: I think we're going to see a slower game tonight
- 3:48Speaker 1: with a very similar score. So hopefully the Avs will
- 3:51Speaker 1: win 3-2, and Ralph and I will both cover our legs. Okay,
- 3:55Speaker 1: Ralph Michaels, trends and angles. Where are we going today?
- 3:59Speaker 4: Well, first, let me talk about the avalanche.
- 4:01Speaker 3: You know, we all talk about the Denver Broncos playing
- 4:06Speaker 3: in 5,000 feet of elevation, mile high. Wyoming in college football, 7,000.
- 4:11Speaker 3: But when we talk the avalanche, we don't talk about
- 4:14Speaker 3: the same mile high standard where people have tired legs.
- 4:19Speaker 4: And can't skate as well. How about this?
- 4:22Speaker 3: When the avalanche are at home and their opponent has
- 4:26Speaker 3: no rest and they're a favorite of 130 or higher,
- 4:30Speaker 3: They are 32-2.
- 4:30Speaker 4: 94% against the spread.
- 4:31Speaker 3: And even better, they are 29-5, 85% on the puck line.
- 4:34Speaker 3: And even if they have no rest, they've gone 7-1, 88%.
- 4:46Speaker 3: I have used this play multiple times. You know, I'm only,
- 4:49Speaker 3: I handicapped the NHL very lightly, but they are situational plays.
- 4:54Speaker 3: The only reason this wasn't a client play for me
- 4:57Speaker 3: was that the two backup goalies are playing, and I
- 5:00Speaker 3: didn't want to jump in on that. But Colorado Avalanche, 32-2,
- 5:04Speaker 3: facing an opponent with no rest as a favor to
- 5:07Speaker 3: minus 130 or higher.
- 5:08Speaker 1: That's an incredible stat.
- 5:12Speaker 3: And it I mean, especially when it makes complete sense, right?
- 5:15Speaker 3: You're skating in a mile high. You're skating in altitude
- 5:19Speaker 3: with no rest. As you skate, imagine skating back-to-back nights,
- 5:22Speaker 3: having to travel, and then having to play in the altitude.
- 5:25Speaker 4: You can appreciate it more than anyone for your league.
- 5:28Speaker 2: Wow.
- 5:30Speaker 1: Art, should we both release Colorado tonight?
- 5:33Speaker 2: Is that what you're thinking?
- 5:34Speaker 1: It's not too late now.
- 5:35Speaker 2: It's only at noon.
- 5:37Speaker 6: It makes a lot of sense.
- 5:39Speaker 5: You know.
- 5:40Speaker 6: I think Ralph hit it, though, with the backup goalies
- 5:41Speaker 6: would scare me a little bit on a handicap in
- 5:44Speaker 6: the game. But that's an incredible stat just to look
- 5:47Speaker 6: forward to for the rest of the year if any
- 5:49Speaker 6: of those spots come up.
- 5:50Speaker 1: Yeah. Please let us know when those spots do occur.
- 5:53Speaker 1: That is really good stuff, Ralph.
- 5:55Speaker 4: I'll put a note out.
- 5:56Speaker 3: Like I said, I can go ahead and list the
- 6:00Speaker 3: games that are going. They'll obviously almost always be a
- 6:02Speaker 3: favor to minus 130 more. So next week's show, I
- 6:05Speaker 3: will print out a look-ahead chart that you guys can
- 6:08Speaker 3: all go and mark your calendar with.
- 6:10Speaker 2: Beautiful. What else you got?
- 6:13Speaker 3: Joe, if you could show us, how many times are
- 6:16Speaker 3: we going to read this week or have we already read?
- 6:19Speaker 4: This NFL team has an advantage because they're off a
- 6:22Speaker 4: bye week. People say it all the time.
- 6:24Speaker 3: They just assume because the team did not play last week,
- 6:27Speaker 3: they're going to be better this week.
- 6:28Speaker 4: Well, take a look at this chart.
- 6:32Speaker 3: The entire chart The left-hand sideline shows what teams do
- 6:37Speaker 3: off a buy. So you see, if you blindly bet
- 6:39Speaker 3: every NFL team off a buy since 2015, you cashed 49.4%.
- 6:45Speaker 4: You lost money.
- 6:47Speaker 3: If you bet teams as a home favorite off a buy,
- 6:49Speaker 3: you've only won 47%. If you play away favorites off
- 6:54Speaker 3: a buy, you've only cashed 46.3%. So the takeaway clearly
- 6:57Speaker 3: is this. NFL teams that are a favorite off a
- 7:04Speaker 3: buy are under 47% against the spread the last 12 years. Again,
- 7:11Speaker 3: an amazing thing that people think is an advantage, but
- 7:14Speaker 3: it's actually been a negative. But now take a look
- 7:16Speaker 3: at the right two hand charts. One is, the middle
- 7:19Speaker 3: one is, they won the game prior to the buy,
- 7:22Speaker 3: and now they're a home favorite, home dog, away favorite,
- 7:25Speaker 3: or away dog. Or they lost prior to the.
- 7:27Speaker 4: Buy, and now.
- 7:29Speaker 3: Look at teams that are a home favorite. They're 47.3% overall.
- 7:36Speaker 3: If they won prior to the bye and had a
- 7:40Speaker 3: week of rest with positive vibes, they're 55% the next week.
- 7:45Speaker 3: If a team is a home favorite and had negative
- 7:47Speaker 3: vibes losing the game prior to the bye, only 16
- 7:52Speaker 3: and 30, 34.8%. And if you look at teams with
- 7:56Speaker 3: home dogs, the opposite is true. NFL home dogs off
- 8:00Speaker 3: a win, only 44%. but off a loss, 59%. Just
- 8:05Speaker 3: another myth busted here for those that think NFL teams
- 8:10Speaker 3: off a buy are an automatic positive. And while there
- 8:13Speaker 3: are some positive situations, you can't make that blanket statement.
- 8:17Speaker 5: Unless you're Andy Reid, Ralph, right? Is that how it works?
- 8:23Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 8:25Speaker 2: It's the only guy.
- 8:27Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 8:28Speaker 3: And again, that's a great point. You know, there are
- 8:30Speaker 3: coaches that, you know, obviously think about that. If I
- 8:34Speaker 3: took out a few of the quality coaches that are
- 8:36Speaker 3: good off buys, how much better these records, how much
- 8:38Speaker 3: worse these records would even be.
- 8:40Speaker 4: So you use them accordingly, you know, that's a great point.
- 8:44Speaker 4: Good point. Very good point, Joe. So no question.
- 8:46Speaker 3: So again, sometimes the charts aren't wow, but if it
- 8:50Speaker 3: gets you, to change your thought process instead of marking
- 8:54Speaker 3: an automatic positive, that right there will help you moving forward,
- 8:58Speaker 3: betting NFL teams with rest.
- 9:00Speaker 1: Yep. Wow.
- 9:02Speaker 2: Great stuff.
- 9:03Speaker 1: Well, Michaels, before we let you go, because I know
- 9:06Speaker 1: you're on WTT today, what do you got to promote
- 9:10Speaker 1: for the clients?
- 9:11Speaker 3: Well, I really do hate this wig slash toupee, Prez.
- 9:15Speaker 3: So for my toupee play for the day, I am
- 9:18Speaker 3: actually giving you my client play for today. That's how
- 9:22Speaker 3: bad I don't want to wear this stupid hat. I
- 9:28Speaker 3: am going with Western Kentucky. I released them at minus
- 9:31Speaker 3: 110 on the money line. Art said it's up to
- 9:33Speaker 3: one and a half, so you might have to lay
- 9:34Speaker 3: 115 or 120. Western Kentucky was mauled their first three games.
- 9:39Speaker 3: They got outgained by 714 yards and outscored 157 to 34.
- 9:44Speaker 3: So everyone threw them into the shitter. But there's going
- 9:47Speaker 3: to be a lot of teams that get blown out
- 9:49Speaker 3: if you're a 40-point underdog at Georgia and a 44-point
- 9:53Speaker 3: dog at Indiana. They had a feel-good win against an
- 9:56Speaker 3: FCS foe, got everything right, and they went to New Mexico.
- 10:00Speaker 3: State and had a yardage edge, but six sacks did
- 10:03Speaker 3: them in. They have two quarterbacks that were splitting time.
- 10:09Speaker 3: Florida State transfer Brock Glenn was 1A or 1B in August.
- 10:14Speaker 3: He got beat out. He did play in five or
- 10:17Speaker 3: six games, but they moved him into the starting lineup
- 10:20Speaker 3: last week. He is very mobile, and this team looked
- 10:23Speaker 3: much better behind his tutelage. He rushed for 95 yards, 6.3
- 10:30Speaker 3: yards per carry, including a touchdown. The team rushed for 253, 5.8.
- 10:36Speaker 3: Western Kentucky is 15-2 as a conference away favorite with
- 10:40Speaker 3: one of those losses off a bye. Sam Houston, a
- 10:43Speaker 3: horrible rush D, allowing 212 yards per carry, 5.5. They're
- 10:48Speaker 3: only 1-4. Their only win is against an FCS opponent,
- 10:51Speaker 3: Nickel State. And the Bearcats, 1-9 straight up and only
- 10:55Speaker 3: 2-8 ATS versus CUSA teams under Coach Longo. Western Kentucky
- 11:01Speaker 3: does get it done tonight. And you guys get to
- 11:05Speaker 3: see my bald head next week.
- 11:07Speaker 2: There you go.
- 11:08Speaker 1: Ralph Michaels, everyone. Thanks for doing this, Ralph.
- 11:11Speaker 2: You're the best.
- 11:12Speaker 6: Thanks, guys.
- 11:13Speaker 4: Have a great weekend, guys.
- 11:14Speaker 1: You can check Ralph Michaels out on a Wager Talk today,
- 11:17Speaker 1: a show hosted by Andy Lang. I'm on it as
- 11:20Speaker 1: well for Wednesday. Joe, you do Thursday's show, right? With
- 11:26Speaker 1: this guy here.
- 11:27Speaker 2: There you go. With Art DeCesar.
- 11:30Speaker 1: And then you can hear us all on Wager Talk
- 11:32Speaker 1: Last Call. Let's keep the show moving, everybody. Hit the
- 11:35Speaker 1: like button. Subscribe to our channel. We've got lots to do.
- 11:39Speaker 1: We're going to do some CFB Week 7 bets. We've
- 11:42Speaker 1: got some side bets in the NFL. I've got two
- 11:45Speaker 1: games I want to talk to you guys about. I'll
- 11:47Speaker 1: let you know ahead of time. I want to talk
- 11:49Speaker 1: to you about the New Orleans Giants game, and I
- 11:52Speaker 1: want to talk to you about the Philadelphia Eagles game.
- 11:55Speaker 1: We'll talk about that a little later. Let's get into
- 11:58Speaker 1: some college. Oh, let's talk business. What do I got going?
- 12:02Speaker 1: I got a 5% college football total up.
- 12:06Speaker 2: For everybody over at Wager Talk.
- 12:09Speaker 1: My college football totals, my God, 70% over the last
- 12:13Speaker 1: two years.
- 12:14Speaker 2: Anything else?
- 12:16Speaker 1: Just unbelievable run in these college football totals. I won
- 12:20Speaker 1: my 5% last week. I won my 5% the week before.
- 12:24Speaker 1: We're on an 8-2 run in these 5% totals. So please,
- 12:28Speaker 1: if there's one bet that you're going to make this week,
- 12:30Speaker 1: make sure it's my college football 5% total, and it
- 12:33Speaker 1: does go on Art, what do you got going?
- 12:39Speaker 6: Well, right now I have nothing up for the day.
- 12:40Speaker 6: Not going to play the baseball or the hockey. Had
- 12:42Speaker 6: a really nice $ 5 Tuesday. Won my hockey bet, won
- 12:45Speaker 6: my baseball bet. So we're still rolling in the MLB playoffs.
- 12:49Speaker 6: The playoffs have been really good to us. If you
- 12:51Speaker 6: go to my page, you'll see my release times for
- 12:54Speaker 6: my college and NFL, which will be up later. And
- 12:57Speaker 6: I'm already eyeing a hockey game for tomorrow. So just,
- 13:00Speaker 6: you know, go check out the page. Yep, I'm already
- 13:03Speaker 6: eyeing one. WT.buzz slash JD for all the stuff going
- 13:06Speaker 6: on over there.
- 13:08Speaker 2: There you go.
- 13:09Speaker 1: And I just, before I go to Joe, I did
- 13:12Speaker 1: lose my NHL total last night, guys. I had the
- 13:16Speaker 1: under in the Winnipeg game, six and a half. It
- 13:20Speaker 1: ended at seven. Joe, what do you got going for
- 13:24Speaker 1: the clients?
- 13:25Speaker 5: 5% NFL play for Sunday is up. College football is coming.
- 13:33Speaker 5: Monster weekend for college football as well. So you guys
- 13:38Speaker 5: can go grab that. WT.buzz forward slash JR.
- 13:43Speaker 2: There we go, everybody.
- 13:45Speaker 1: CFB week seven. Look, I'm going to throw two at you.
- 13:50Speaker 1: Both are insane.
- 13:53Speaker 2: Florida State. And Missouri.
- 13:57Speaker 1: Thoughts?
- 14:03Speaker 6: We kind of touched on Florida State yesterday.
- 14:05Speaker 2: I know.
- 14:06Speaker 5: Florida State's going to get destroyed.
- 14:08Speaker 6: I'm with Joe. I think they're going to get destroyed, too. But, Prez, now,
- 14:12Speaker 6: when you say Missouri, you like Missouri.
- 14:15Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 14:15Speaker 2: I like Missouri. I like Missouri in this, yes, Missouri.
- 14:23Speaker 6: I'm kind of with you on that.
- 14:24Speaker 1: Plus six and a half, plus six against Ole Miss.
- 14:27Speaker 6: Yeah, I'm kind of trending that way too. And I
- 14:30Speaker 6: don't know. And listen, it's obviously one of the marquee
- 14:32Speaker 6: games of the week. But the more and more I
- 14:35Speaker 6: look at this and the more and more I think
- 14:36Speaker 6: about this, I think Ohio State. No, I think Ohio State.
- 14:40Speaker 6: I think they're going to kill Indiana.
- 14:42Speaker 1: So do I.
- 14:44Speaker 6: I don't know. It's just the revenge factor. I don't
- 14:48Speaker 6: see how Indiana is going to stop Smith. I just,
- 14:52Speaker 6: it feels like. Ohio state's going to win that game
- 14:55Speaker 6: by 10 plus and you're laying three and a half, four.
- 14:58Speaker 6: So I don't know.
- 15:01Speaker 2: Joe, I agree with him on Ohio state.
- 15:03Speaker 1: And I also think Penn state, I mean, come on Michigan,
- 15:06Speaker 1: get it, giving that many points.
- 15:08Speaker 2: What's going on there?
- 15:10Speaker 5: Well, the start is Penn state's awful. And secondly, Michigan's
- 15:16Speaker 5: off a bye and they're home.
- 15:18Speaker 4: So that accounts for something.
- 15:21Speaker 5: But you can't trust Matt Campbell and this Iowa State
- 15:24Speaker 5: light team because they couldn't win in a whiteout in
- 15:28Speaker 5: their own backyard. against a team that can never win
- 15:32Speaker 5: traveling east in USC. There's nothing trustworthy about either of
- 15:37Speaker 5: those teams, but I would give Michigan at home a
- 15:41Speaker 5: much better shot of getting it done than Penn State.
- 15:44Speaker 5: I think Matt Campbell's in trouble in a big way
- 15:46Speaker 5: there at Penn State. Congrats, you brought everyone over from
- 15:50Speaker 5: Iowa State, but they still suck, so we've seen this before.
- 15:55Speaker 1: That we have. Art, what do you like? Any CFB
- 15:59Speaker 1: sides jump out at you?
- 16:01Speaker 6: Yeah, like I said, just the Ohio State right now.
- 16:04Speaker 6: And tomorrow I'm going to do the full sharp rundown where,
- 16:09Speaker 6: you know, over the last couple of weeks I've given out,
- 16:12Speaker 6: you know, the sharp side stuff, which actually has been
- 16:14Speaker 6: hitting really nice on the Internet. And I think it's
- 16:17Speaker 6: like nine and three the last two weeks, all the
- 16:19Speaker 6: real sharp information I've given out in college football. So
- 16:22Speaker 6: stand by for that tomorrow. We'll have a nice list
- 16:25Speaker 6: of five or six games.
- 16:27Speaker 1: NFL week six sides. Joe, I'm battled by two lines.
- 16:35Speaker 2: I don't understand how New Orleans is a favorite.
- 16:39Speaker 1: And I understand that Philadelphia is not the Philadelphia we know.
- 16:42Speaker 1: And I get that they're injured and I get that
- 16:45Speaker 1: they're struggling to move the ball. But this is still
- 16:48Speaker 1: a veteran team with a Super Bowl quarterback, and they're
- 16:51Speaker 1: at home, up of a loss, and they're a dog
- 16:54Speaker 1: against Carolina. Can you maybe explain those two lines to me, please? Yeah, sure.
- 17:02Speaker 5: The schedulers hate Philadelphia. You're taking a team from London
- 17:06Speaker 5: on a short week to bring them back to take
- 17:08Speaker 5: on a team that's coming off a bye. How is
- 17:11Speaker 5: that even remotely fair that now Carolina's got two weeks
- 17:15Speaker 5: to prep for you and two weeks to get healthy
- 17:18Speaker 5: and you still won't have Saquon. You're likely not going
- 17:22Speaker 5: to have Devonta Smith and your offensive line still sucks
- 17:25Speaker 5: without any time to try and prep or to try
- 17:29Speaker 5: and get them better in any way, shape or form.
- 17:31Speaker 5: Hell yes, I agree with the line move on Carolina.
- 17:34Speaker 5: Carolina's going to throw all over them, and that's going
- 17:38Speaker 5: to be the end of it. I don't know what
- 17:39Speaker 5: the schedules were. Usually you go up against a team
- 17:42Speaker 5: also having played. You're going to put them up against
- 17:45Speaker 5: a team that had a bye, and they were in London?
- 17:48Speaker 1: There's nothing, nothing points.
- 17:50Speaker 2: Why would they do that?
- 17:51Speaker 5: I have no idea. They hate Philadelphia apparently because that
- 17:55Speaker 5: makes no sense. I mean, usually it's– You either give
- 17:58Speaker 5: them the week off or you put them up against
- 18:00Speaker 5: somebody that's also played the week prior. Carolina having the
- 18:05Speaker 5: week off to prep is beyond me.
- 18:07Speaker 1: Yep. Art, what about this Giants line? You're a Giants fan.
- 18:12Speaker 1: This team came back 27-13 against Washington, showed Moxie.
- 18:18Speaker 2: I think there's a.
- 18:19Speaker 1: Good vibe in New York. And conversely, the Saints are
- 18:24Speaker 1: on a bit of a free fall. Why is this
- 18:27Speaker 1: line moved towards the Saints?
- 18:30Speaker 6: It's very similar to when they played Arizona. You know,
- 18:34Speaker 6: Arizona came in and played New York, and they ended
- 18:37Speaker 6: up going off as a favorite. Obviously, the Giants had
- 18:39Speaker 6: the goal line stand at the end and came out
- 18:41Speaker 6: with the win. This is very similar to that. I
- 18:44Speaker 6: think the sharp bettors still don't respect the Giants, and
- 18:49Speaker 6: it shows you that with this type of market move
- 18:52Speaker 6: to the Saints, who we talked off-air about. Saints aren't
- 18:54Speaker 6: any good. And now you're having the Saints go on
- 18:57Speaker 6: the road and be a favorite where the Giants should
- 18:59Speaker 6: really be minus one, minus one and a half. It
- 19:01Speaker 6: goes to show you that, you know, the sharp guys
- 19:04Speaker 6: in the syndicates who, you know, are betting these NFL
- 19:07Speaker 6: games and moving these lines, they want nothing to do
- 19:09Speaker 6: with the Giants.
- 19:11Speaker 1: Joe, what do you think about this Giants-New Orleans game?
- 19:14Speaker 2: Is there a bet for you there?
- 19:16Speaker 1: I don't.
- 19:16Speaker 5: I do not understand anything.
- 19:19Speaker 1: What they're doing.
- 19:19Speaker 5: We know the Giants injuries on both sides of the ball,
- 19:22Speaker 5: including the secondary, which is atrocious. What is the weather
- 19:25Speaker 5: for this game?
- 19:27Speaker 2: Right now is nothing major.
- 19:29Speaker 5: So if it's nothing major and Tyler and Tyler shock
- 19:34Speaker 5: is going to be able to pass. Then I can
- 19:37Speaker 5: see points happening in this game.
- 19:41Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 19:42Speaker 5: I mean, but on a neutral site, New Orleans is what?
- 19:44Speaker 5: Three points better.
- 19:45Speaker 1: Are they?
- 19:48Speaker 2: I don't think so.
- 19:49Speaker 6: Probably less.
- 19:51Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 19:51Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 19:52Speaker 1: I don't. And as far as injuries for the Giants,
- 19:55Speaker 1: I mean, three questionables, Nubin, Elimanor, and Hood. And then
- 20:00Speaker 1: the rest are all have been injured for ages.
- 20:03Speaker 2: I mean, there's nothing major going on.
- 20:05Speaker 1: Nothing new. The Giants from an injury report. New Orleans,
- 20:09Speaker 1: you've got questionable Wright and Jennings and then them too.
- 20:14Speaker 1: Everybody else is the standard procedure. So, yeah, I mean.
- 20:18Speaker 5: I don't get it.
- 20:19Speaker 2: This is a bit of.
- 20:21Speaker 1: A baffler to me is the Giants line.
- 20:23Speaker 2: I got another.
- 20:23Speaker 1: Couple of games I want to throw out at you quick. Joe,
- 20:27Speaker 1: I know you got, listen, you got a ton of
- 20:30Speaker 1: love this week in the comment section about it doesn't
- 20:34Speaker 1: matter how many points the Raiders score. New England is covering, bitch. Well,
- 20:40Speaker 1: now they got the Jets and they're minus seven.
- 20:44Speaker 2: Where are we going in this.
- 20:45Speaker 1: Game, Joe?
- 20:45Speaker 5: I don't want anything to do with the Jets. It's
- 20:48Speaker 5: bad enough the Jets already won a game. And they
- 20:51Speaker 5: won last week against the Browns, despite anything else. But
- 20:55Speaker 5: I'm also beginning to think that this apparent draft class
- 20:58Speaker 5: of quarterbacks that are supposed to be franchise changers are
- 21:02Speaker 5: all crap. So I don't think it matters very much anymore.
- 21:05Speaker 1: I'm just saying.
- 21:07Speaker 5: So I think it feels like a lot of points.
- 21:10Speaker 5: Divisional matchups usually... I feel like it's going to be
- 21:14Speaker 5: a little bit closer. I would only look the dog
- 21:17Speaker 5: in this spot here, but it's not a game I
- 21:22Speaker 5: would look at. New England being home, which is great.
- 21:25Speaker 5: What are they, 7.5 if you can get the hook?
- 21:27Speaker 2: Yeah, 7.
- 21:28Speaker 6: No, there's some 7s out there. 7, yeah.
- 21:30Speaker 5: So if it's available, and I think it will only
- 21:35Speaker 5: get to 7.5 at some point. I would take the 7.5.
- 21:39Speaker 1: Joe, Art, what do you think about that game? And
- 21:41Speaker 1: do you have any opinion on the Indy Tennessee game?
- 21:44Speaker 1: Because I feel like that might be a blowout.
- 21:48Speaker 6: Yeah, I think Joe's correct. I think once that gets
- 21:51Speaker 6: to seven and a half, and I think it will
- 21:52Speaker 6: at most spots, I think you're going to see the
- 21:55Speaker 6: jet by because of the divisional game. And, you know,
- 21:58Speaker 6: where it's just they take the team out of it.
- 22:00Speaker 6: It's not about the Jets. It's about the number. They're
- 22:03Speaker 6: just going to bet the seven and a half. So
- 22:04Speaker 6: you will see that happen. But obviously, New England, off
- 22:08Speaker 6: their last two weeks, beating Buffalo and destroying the Raiders,
- 22:12Speaker 6: now they have a good feel again for betters. So
- 22:15Speaker 6: people may be back on New England. And, Prez, what
- 22:17Speaker 6: did you say, the Colt game? Yeah, I mean, I
- 22:21Speaker 6: could see a blowout as well. Obviously, we know how
- 22:23Speaker 6: bad Tennessee is. I mean, you know, I still think
- 22:26Speaker 6: the Chargers are the worst team in the league, but
- 22:29Speaker 6: Tennessee's right there.
- 22:30Speaker 1: They've only scored 58 points in five games. Yeah.
- 22:33Speaker 5: 58 points in five games.
- 22:36Speaker 1: Like that is just, and now they're playing on the
- 22:39Speaker 1: carpet in Indy. And I don't think the carpet's going
- 22:42Speaker 1: to help them. I don't know how they stopped on Taylor. And, uh, Man,
- 22:49Speaker 1: I look at this game and I think Indy's going
- 22:51Speaker 1: to put up 30.
- 22:52Speaker 5: It's a huge game for the Colts because the Texans
- 22:55Speaker 5: are in London going to play. Jacksonville has already been
- 22:58Speaker 5: there a week.
- 22:59Speaker 2: I like Jacksonville, guys.
- 23:01Speaker 1: What do you think about Jacksonville? I'm going to throw
- 23:03Speaker 1: Jacksonville out as our circa pick tomorrow. Art, any thoughts
- 23:07Speaker 1: on Jacksonville?
- 23:08Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean, listen, if in the contest it is
- 23:11Speaker 6: two and a half, yeah, absolutely. I could see that.
- 23:13Speaker 6: I mean, back-to-back weeks in London, they obviously always perform
- 23:18Speaker 6: well in London. Obviously, they won last week. They didn't
- 23:20Speaker 6: have a big-time game where they covered a big number.
- 23:23Speaker 1: But they stayed in London.
- 23:25Speaker 6: Yeah, exactly. And that's what they do. This is par
- 23:28Speaker 6: for the course with Jacksonville. Under a field goal, I
- 23:31Speaker 6: absolutely like that.
- 23:33Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 23:33Speaker 1: Joe, anything there?
- 23:34Speaker 2: And we'll move to the playoffs.
- 23:36Speaker 5: Jacksonville has actually played consecutive weeks in England two other
- 23:41Speaker 5: times and won each of those covering by a minimum
- 23:44Speaker 5: of 10 points.
- 23:46Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 23:47Speaker 6: There you go.
- 23:48Speaker 1: Seems like a little bit of a mic drop there, Joe.
- 23:51Speaker 5: I'm just, they, there's an advantage to not having to
- 23:54Speaker 5: travel to London and play and then leave. And which
- 23:57Speaker 5: again brings me to the Philadelphia point. What are you
- 24:00Speaker 5: doing to Philadelphia?
- 24:01Speaker 2: Like my God, unreal.
- 24:04Speaker 1: Okay, hit the like button, everyone. Make sure to comment,
- 24:08Speaker 1: subscribe to our channel, MLB Playoffs. There is one game today.
- 24:13Speaker 1: Yamamoto will not be on the mound, but he likely
- 24:17Speaker 1: will find his way there. Blake Snell for the Dodgers.
- 24:21Speaker 1: They are minus 175, total of seven and a half.
- 24:26Speaker 1: How do you two guys want to break that one down?
- 24:29Speaker 5: What are you thinking, Art, here? I think, I mean,
- 24:33Speaker 5: I'm seeing fours for the first five. That's why I
- 24:35Speaker 5: went in there. I'll tell you this. Gassler's a lefty.
- 24:39Speaker 5: Obviously not going to go seven innings or six innings
- 24:43Speaker 5: like Peralta did. But the Dodgers 0-27 against lefties. 0
- 24:49Speaker 5: for their last 27.
- 24:52Speaker 2: Did you just make that up?
- 24:54Speaker 1: Nope.
- 24:55Speaker 6: I mean, that is a wild stat.
- 24:59Speaker 1: What?
- 25:00Speaker 6: I mean, 27.
- 25:02Speaker 2: Yep.
- 25:03Speaker 6: And this is the game of the year for the Dodgers.
- 25:05Speaker 6: Cause we know if you go down old three.
- 25:07Speaker 5: Which is why Gasser was chosen to start this game.
- 25:11Speaker 1: So.
- 25:11Speaker 5: Yep.
- 25:13Speaker 1: Wow.
- 25:13Speaker 6: That's a, I couldn't lay it with the Dodgers. The
- 25:16Speaker 6: Dodgers are just baseball is so like, if you play
- 25:19Speaker 6: bad for a week, you're gone. And the Dodgers are
- 25:22Speaker 6: not playing well right now. So to lay that type
- 25:24Speaker 6: of number with the Dodgers would be impossible for me.
- 25:27Speaker 6: I already told you I like Snell. I like Snell's
- 25:30Speaker 6: strikeouts under. I think he could be on a short leash.
- 25:33Speaker 6: I think the running game could mess with him if
- 25:35Speaker 6: the Brewers get people on. To me, it would be
- 25:39Speaker 6: Brewers and all sorts of other Brewers stuff or pass.
- 25:42Speaker 1: I agree.
- 25:44Speaker 5: Not good. Pass.
- 25:46Speaker 1: NHL rundown, Art, stay with us.
- 25:48Speaker 2: We'll just do this together.
- 25:50Speaker 1: Montreal and Washington, look, obviously everybody's coming. Everybody's on a
- 25:54Speaker 1: back-to-back here. I would lean on Washington slightly. I don't
- 26:00Speaker 1: really have much.
- 26:01Speaker 2: Do you have any thought on that game?
- 26:03Speaker 6: I mean, like I said, there was a little bit
- 26:05Speaker 6: of sharp money that came in on Montreal. I like
- 26:07Speaker 6: where you, I believe you said in the parlay the
- 26:10Speaker 6: day you were on the under there. I kind of
- 26:12Speaker 6: lean towards.
- 26:12Speaker 2: That side as well.
- 26:13Speaker 1: No, the under in the Dallas... I'm on the under
- 26:15Speaker 1: in the Dallas-Colorado game, and I'll tell you, I understand
- 26:17Speaker 1: that there's two backup goaltenders, but I'll tell you guys,
- 26:22Speaker 1: that is not something that normally I care about, to
- 26:25Speaker 1: be honest with you.
- 26:27Speaker 2: If you actually look at.
- 26:28Speaker 1: The underlying metrics of a backup goalie to a starting goalie,
- 26:32Speaker 1: I mean, we're talking about. 023 goals. These are still
- 26:37Speaker 1: professional athletes. And these two teams, Dallas and Colorado, albeit
- 26:45Speaker 1: high-scoring teams, they're both really stingy defensively, especially Colorado.
- 26:51Speaker 6: Is McCarr still out? Is he still out?
- 26:56Speaker 2: Let's take a look.
- 26:58Speaker 6: He missed the game last night because I think he
- 27:02Speaker 6: had a kid.
- 27:02Speaker 2: Yeah, he's questionable.
- 27:04Speaker 6: Okay, and also, Prez, I don't know if you saw,
- 27:06Speaker 6: but the Hintz-McKinnon fight was amazing.
- 27:10Speaker 2: Oh, I got to go. I'll YouTube it.
- 27:12Speaker 1: I was out all night last night. The only game
- 27:15Speaker 1: I watched was the Winnipeg game, and it was 2-2
- 27:19Speaker 1: at the end of the first bloody period. So that
- 27:23Speaker 1: game went off as well.
- 27:25Speaker 6: McKinney got his nose rearranged.
- 27:28Speaker 2: Well, He's not exactly known for being a fighter, Art.
- 27:32Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 27:32Speaker 6: No. Shocked. I was sitting there. It's like, you know,
- 27:37Speaker 6: you got your captain and your best offensive player. I
- 27:40Speaker 6: would protect him, right. Those two teams hate each other.
- 27:43Speaker 6: You could just tell it was very chippy.
- 27:45Speaker 1: Guys, let's do a little mailbag because I don't want
- 27:48Speaker 1: these people to think we don't read this stuff.
- 27:49Speaker 5: Let me ask you a question. The Grand Salami is
- 27:52Speaker 5: 12 and a half tonight in these two games.
- 27:56Speaker 2: I would go with the under.
- 27:59Speaker 5: Lost money. There you go. I would go with the under.
- 28:03Speaker 5: No seven sixes? I mean, this is going to be,
- 28:08Speaker 5: what's it, six and a half and six, right? So
- 28:11Speaker 5: 12 and a half, you get one pretty good under,
- 28:13Speaker 5: and you are under.
- 28:15Speaker 1: Yeah, I would do the under.
- 28:17Speaker 2: Way more rights.
- 28:18Speaker 1: I have come to the conclusion that the press is
- 28:20Speaker 1: an NHL wizard. I wish that is true way more.
- 28:24Speaker 1: And I appreciate it. Right now I'm six and three
- 28:28Speaker 1: to start the season, but my rundowns have been on believable.
- 28:34Speaker 1: Logan Foster, Joe speaking facts about Josh Allen, but then
- 28:38Speaker 1: another person commented Joe and said, come on, Joe smarten up.
- 28:43Speaker 1: Josh Allen has played like that his entire career.
- 28:46Speaker 2: Any thoughts there?
- 28:49Speaker 5: Time will tell.
- 28:51Speaker 6: Time will tell.
- 28:53Speaker 1: SDW writes, Mahomes is the best QB in the league,
- 28:57Speaker 1: which I don't agree with. I believe that Josh Allen
- 29:00Speaker 1: is the best QB in the league. And Drake does
- 29:03Speaker 1: make good music. I don't agree with that either, SDW.
- 29:08Speaker 1: And clearly you are not 57 years old. because I
- 29:13Speaker 1: don't think you'll find any 57-year-old that thinks Drake does
- 29:16Speaker 1: make good music. But I respect that I'm not cool anymore,
- 29:21Speaker 1: and I respect that the times have passed me by.
- 29:24Speaker 1: So don't listen to my damn opinion on Drake's music.
- 29:28Speaker 1: But Art, is Josh Allen better than Patrick Mahomes right now?
- 29:34Speaker 6: Yes, I would take Allen over Mahomes right now.
- 29:37Speaker 2: And you, Mr.
- 29:39Speaker 1: O'Neary?
- 29:41Speaker 2: Listened.
- 29:42Speaker 5: Two minutes with the ball in their hands. I don't
- 29:45Speaker 5: think you can go wrong with either one of them.
- 29:47Speaker 2: Yeah, well, that's fair. Bill Sandoval, who we love.
- 29:50Speaker 1: Bill, love to see your name. Chiefs are pretty good,
- 29:54Speaker 1: and if Atlanta is healthy, they're good.
- 29:58Speaker 2: We did not.
- 29:59Speaker 1: Mention the Chiefs when we said who the best teams
- 30:01Speaker 1: in the NFL. I'm not prepared to put the Chiefs
- 30:04Speaker 1: there yet right now. For me, I still believe it's
- 30:07Speaker 1: Buffalo and San Fran, but I respect Bill's opinion on
- 30:11Speaker 1: the Chiefs, not on Atlanta. They are not a team
- 30:15Speaker 1: that I'm going to say is a top four team
- 30:19Speaker 1: in the league.
- 30:19Speaker 5: Art?
- 30:21Speaker 6: No, and listen, obviously we were talking AFC yesterday and
- 30:24Speaker 6: we were saying outside of the Bill's, who was the
- 30:27Speaker 6: next team. And I think obviously we didn't mention Kansas city,
- 30:30Speaker 6: but you know, I went with Jackson. We were trying
- 30:32Speaker 6: to think maybe a little bit outside of the box,
- 30:35Speaker 6: obviously with Reed and the homes and their running game,
- 30:38Speaker 6: the chiefs are going to be there, but you know,
- 30:41Speaker 6: it's boring. It was boring just to say the chiefs Atlanta,
- 30:44Speaker 6: despite all their problems could probably still win that division,
- 30:47Speaker 6: but health is an issue.
- 30:48Speaker 1: Yup. Uh, Heinz writes the Minnesota Vikings are the best. Uh,
- 30:56Speaker 1: Don't sleep on their defense. They're a bet on team.
- 30:59Speaker 1: I agree. Look, I mean, it's hard to disagree with
- 31:03Speaker 1: that because we've seen defense win Super Bowls, i.e. Trent Dilfer.
- 31:08Speaker 1: You know, we've seen the Giants do it. We've seen
- 31:10Speaker 1: the Bears do it. We've seen it happen before. I
- 31:14Speaker 1: don't think Minnesota can win the Super Bowl without scoring.
- 31:18Speaker 1: I think it'll be a problem. I think 0-0 at
- 31:23Speaker 1: some point, they're just going to call it a tie
- 31:25Speaker 1: and give Give it to both teams. Art, they've got
- 31:29Speaker 1: to find some kind of offense for them to be
- 31:31Speaker 1: in that discussion. But I do think defensively, they're right there.
- 31:36Speaker 6: Defensively, they're right there. And listen, they have some pieces
- 31:39Speaker 6: on offense. They just have to figure out their offense.
- 31:43Speaker 1: And they've got a money field goal kicker, too.
- 31:46Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 31:46Speaker 6: There you go.
- 31:47Speaker 1: I'll tell you something. That Justin Jefferson touchdown catch.
- 31:52Speaker 2: Was spectacular. I mean, over both guys falling back.
- 31:57Speaker 5: Did you notice what Kyler did for the first time
- 31:59Speaker 5: since coming out of that concussion protocol? Used his legs
- 32:04Speaker 5: a lot more.
- 32:06Speaker 2: That's a problem.
- 32:07Speaker 1: Let's see if Minnesota can get going.
- 32:09Speaker 2: I don't disagree. I mean, they are right there. So
- 32:12Speaker 2: well done.
- 32:14Speaker 1: Guys, make sure to comment at the like button. Thanks
- 32:16Speaker 1: for watching the Best Betting Show Ever. We're going to
- 32:19Speaker 1: do this every day, Monday to Friday. I've just been
- 32:24Speaker 1: asked to log on for Wager Talk today. Be well, everyone.
- 32:29Speaker 2: See you tomorrow.
